AN: So, this chapter took me a bit. With the busy week and lack of progress on this chapter, it frustrated me. I might go and completely rewrite this chapter in the future, I'm not sure. Either way I know it isn't that great, so I apologize about the quality. I have the next 6 chapters fully planned out; it's just writing them when I'm blocked is a slight chore. Now in one of my last AN I mis-said if I was going to make him and Dora either an unspeakable or an auror, it came out saying if I wasn't sure if I was going to write their Hogwarts years. I am, I have the next 8 years planned in the story, each arc is roughly 5 chapters, this arc finishes next chapter and then it's back to Hogwarts for their 5th year which will be 5 chapters. Now I would like to know if you guys think they should be either Unspeakables or Aurors, I feel if I do unspeakables then it will open up a more secret agent type approach. It would also help with the pre-planning for the future to take down Voldemort, either way I have both approaches mapped out, I do like the unspeakable one much better though, though I do have a third approach that there aurors as a cover. That isn't as fleshed out though. Now I have been writing when I have time, but I have been mostly writing my other story ideas, stories I don't plan on fully writing for a while, should I release the chapters as test chapters to see what you guys think? I have also written a Harry Potter/Arrowverse crossover one shot, that could be fleshed out into a massive story, let me know if I should release that also. Sorry for the long Note, just wanted everyone to know I'm not slowing down my writing. Now to write chapter 2 of "New Dimension Same Problem."

Chapter 9: A Day Out:

The next month was one of constant routine. He and Dora would start their day with Breakfast with her parents, then they would fly for a couple of hours. She had started him on beater drills, hoping that if he didn't get the seeker position that he would at least make a good beater. While he thought that he made a fair beater he was nowhere near her level, or even the Weasley twins. After flying he would study his new courses, he felt like he would be able to get in the 5th year class now with at least an A, now he was just refining and improving his knowledge, with how hard he was working he hoped to score at least an EE on the placement exam. Then when he was done studying for the day, Dora would drill him on his metamorph abilities, she said he was a natural because now he could hold a new form for hours. He still had trouble adjusting his skeleton and making himself taller or shorter. While he could do it, it threw his center of gravity off, making him just as clumsy as Dora. Though he started to work on his occlumency, he had a theory that if he could lock his center of gravity in his mind palace that he might have more control over his body, it seemed to be helping. He told Dora his theory and she also attempted it to some small degree of success. She agreed that it was worth practicing. After metamorph training they would do something fun, like watching movies or just watching TV. So far, she had introduced him to plenty of movies she liked. While he didn't enjoy the horror movies, he did like the comedy movies and sci-fi.

The more time he spent with Dora the closer they became. At this point they were inseparable, while nothing romantic was going on, much to Dora's presumed annoyance, he did enjoy every day he spent with her. The more time he spent with her the more she seemed to drop the whole fangirl thing, he would still catch her looking at him in a manner he couldn't understand. He also caught himself thinking about her more than he was comfortable about. He just chalked it up to teenage hormones, it didn't help his hormones that she was a beautiful girl and was fun to be around. He just wished she didn't flirt so much; it kept the traitorous thoughts in the forefront of his mind.

Dora herself was starting to get frustrated, she had been hinting and teasing since she met Harry and he still hadn't 'manned up' and kissed her. While she had started to like him for being a fellow metamorph, she now liked him for him. He was smart, caring, selfless, and many more things that made her heart flutter. She figured her approach had soured him on looking at her in a romantic light. She really screwed herself in her initial approach, she could really see them working out and making a wonderful couple now. She hated how her initial infatuation over his metamorph gifts made him doubt if she liked him or his abilities, and while she was drawn to him due to his metamorph ability, now she didn't care about it outside them not having to deal with expectations to be someone they weren't. Now if she could only make him see her new intentions for him. Good thing that she had a surprise for his birthday tomorrow that would make him see her for a viable romantic partner, at least she hoped it would.

Scene Break

Today was the big day. Dora had planned for everything, by the end of the day Harry would know how she felt. IF he didn't feel the same way she would be devastated but she would get over it…. eventually. That didn't truly matter though, today was Harry's 15th birthday, well technically his new birthday was May 22nd, at least according to her mum. She had done the math that since he was sent to the past on July 3rd, then his birthday was now May 22nd, since he arrived on April 24th. Honestly the time-travel math gave her a headache. Since she couldn't celebrate on his new birthday this year then that meant she would use his real birthday to celebrate this year. She would celebrate his new birthday every year after, at least until 1995.

Bounding into the kitchen she spotted her beau seated at the table enjoying some breakfast oatmeal. Yuck, she thought, oatmeal was gross. She would settle for her normal cereal.

"Happy Birthday!" Dora said grabbing him in her signature hug and morning kiss on the cheek.

Harry looked up startled at Dora, he had forgot about his birthday. To be fair he forgot it most years, it was better never to get his hopes up on his birthday, it would lead to disappointment.

"Thanks." He said blushing at her greeting. Dora seemed to just grin at his expression as Ted and Andi looked on in amusement.

Clearing his throat to get the kids attention, "Happy 15th Birthday, may you have many more. Now Andi and I chipped in to get you a present. Tilly would you please bring in the package in our closet." With a pop a box about 3 feet long and 2 feet wide appeared in the center of the table.

Harry looked at the package asking with his eyes to open, Andi merely smiled at him to encourage him. He slowly opened the package, taking the time to not make a mess of the wrapping paper. He carefully folded the wrapping paper and set it on the table, only for it to be vanished by Ted with a swipe of his wand. He gently opened the package, and to his delight he saw a full regulation Seeker armor, along with matching what look to be dragonhide gloves.

He stared at it in awe before he looked at his new family, "Thank you, I've needed something like this for a while. Oliver always told me that I needed to better equip myself." He placed the package on the table before he got up and gave Ted and Andi a hug each. After hugging them he gave Dora a hug, from which she giggled.

"While I appreciate the hug lover, I haven't even given you, my gift. That come's later, I have a great day planned."

Blushing at her teasing, he gave her a half-hearted glare before he sat back down at the table. "We can just do the usual today, Dora, no need to make today special."

Giving him a mock glare, "Excuse me, today is special and we will do what I planned."

He looked down, he still wasn't confident in himself, the time he spent with the Tonks' was helping, but old habits were hard to break.

Breaking him out of his self-recrimination, "Unfortunately it's just me and you today, mum and dad have to work." More like fortunately she thought, not that she didn't want to spend time with them, she just didn't want them to interfere with her plans.

Swallowing his spoonful of oatmeal he asked, "What are we doing?"

"That's a surprise" Dora sing-songed.

Rolling his eyes at her behavior, "I'm sorry that we can't be there today, work is keeping us busy. Those two months off created a backlog that we are finally getting through today."

"People waited two months for an appointment mum. Why didn't they just see a different healer."

Andi took a drink of her tea before she lied. "Dora some people are just more comfortable with their primary healer." While not a total lie, it was a lie because being a normal healer was part of her cover for the unspeakables, same with her husband.

"I understand, too bad you can't make it today." Dora added with feigned sadness, Ted merely snorted, not at all fooled by his daughter. Judging from the look Andi gave her, Ted was sure she wasn't fooled either, though Harry didn't seem to pick it up, he was too busy blushing into his oatmeal at Dora's antics.

"Now hurry up and finish your disgusting gruel, we got important things to do!" Dora said bouncing in her seat.

"Sorry, that we all can't run on sugar like you." Harry fake mocked.

Dora gave him a scandalized look, "How dare you, I'll have you know my breakfast is very nutritional."

Harry looked at her bowl of chocolate puffs and gave a snort. "Sure, whatever you say Choco monster." Ted let out a snort at her soon to be new nickname.

"Did you just call me Choco monster?" Dora said raising her eyebrows in mock rage, a grin breaking through her façade.

"Why, yes I did, Nymphadora."

Her eye twitched in annoyance, "You know what I'm gonna let you have that one, I don't want to have to hurt you on your birthday after all."

"Well thank you for your generosity My Lady." Harry bowed at her.

"As you should be peasant." Dora raised her head into the air with a look of superiority and aristocracy. Ted just shook his head in amusement, Andi just chuckled before taking a sip of her tea.

"As entertaining your quipping is, me and Dromeda must go. Bye kids." Ted said standing and exiting the kitchen with Andi following behind him with a wave goodbye.

Harry resumed finishing his oatmeal, much to the annoyance of Dora. She was tapping her foot impatiently. When he finally finished, she grabbed his arm and dragged him out of the house. He smiled fondly at his fellow Metamorph; he had become used to her pushiness. While he hated when people tried to control him, Dora was different, she never pushed him to do something he truly didn't want to do. He might seem reluctant sometimes, but he knew that she meant well when she dragged him out of his comfort zone.

Dora was happy the first stage of her plan had commenced, ditching her parents to take Harry to the local amusement park. While they would have to catch a bus, it wasn't far enough away to be outside her zone, as her mum put it. Her mum had insisted that she wouldn't be able to leave the town she grew up in, unless she was accompanied by an adult, or she told her parents her destination. Her mum had said that she was only 2 years away from being considered a functional adult that she deserved a little more leeway.

From what she had gathered about Harry, she had realized that he hadn't done some of the staple muggle things. Such as going to a water park, or even an amusement park. He did tell her about one time visiting the zoo, the look on his face though told her that it wasn't a very good trip. While originally, she planned to take him to a water park to show of her stunning figure, she had decided that he wouldn't be comfortable with that. When she realized that she was falling for him she decided that she wasn't going to push him, that didn't mean she couldn't show her interest as she decided that she would do today. Now all she had to do was show him that she was interested in who he was rather than what he was.

Within a half an hour they stood outside the local amusement park. While it wasn't the biggest out there, it was a decent size.

Harry's eyes sparkled, "You brought me to an amusement park."

"Of course, I did, you told me you hadn't been out in the muggle world all that much." Dora said glancing around to make sure nobody heard her slip up.

Harry beamed at her, he then kissed her on her cheek and started pulling her towards the admission zone. Dora was too stunned to react, that was the first time he had initiated a kiss. While it wasn't the kiss she wanted, it showed that he cared about her.

"So, today is your day, what do you want to do first?"

"I guess the roller coaster, I've always wanted to ride one!" Harry said looking at the ride. His enthusiasm brought a smile to Dora's face, she decided that she was going to make this his best birthday since his first. She'd push aside her feelings until they got home, no need to ruin the day if he didn't feel the same way.

Scene Break

10 hours later an exhausted Dora and Harry made their way into their home.

"Did you have a good time?" Dora asked.

"Yes, I especially liked the roller coaster. It wasn't as fast as my firebolt, but it was still fun." Harry said with a smile that lit up the room.

For a second Dora stood transfixed at the happiness on his face, she internally frowned, she couldn't ruin this day just because she wanted him to like her. It hurt to finally push her plan away, but it was the right decision. She had been doing everything for her own wants rather than his. For the first time in a long time, she realized how selfish she had been to concoct a whole day only so she could snag him. She would be his friend, maybe time would change things, but for now she decided she would be content to just be a good friend.

"Hey kids, did you have a good time." Ted said looking at them as they entered the kitchen.

"Yes, Dora took me to the amusement park." Harry joyfully explained.

Andi smiled at him, "Well will have to all go next summer, that's if you don't mind it."

Harry frowned at that, "Why would I mind that, the more the merrier." Andi's gaze flickered to her daughter, noticing the look on her face.

Before Andi could say anything further though Dora interrupted, "Of course you should come, we can go as a family." She said with a fake smile on her face, Ted looked at her in concern.

"Everything ok?" Ted asked.

"Why wouldn't it be, we had a wonderful day. I'm tired though, so I think I'm going to go to bed early. Night guys." Dora said.

Before she could make it out of the room though Harry gave her a big hug, "Thanks for making this my best birthday, Dora."

Dora pulled away with flushed cheeks, "No problem Har, Night."

"Night."

Making her way out of the kitchen to her room she just dropped on her bed, to tired physically and mentally to change. As she drifted off all she could think of was how to be a better friend to the boy who was stealing her heart.
