"Did ya ever hear about them kids a few years back?"
"Explain, please. There were quite a bit of children on the news a few years past."
Tape sighed. "So this whole Kingdom blew sky high and the only survivors were a couple o' kiddos."
Rubber Band gasped lightly. "A whole Kingdom? Is that why this is a city and not one of those? Because I know the Principal is royalty, I've spotted a crown in one of his desk drawers!"
"Woah, really?" Hole Punch asked. "Coolio!" He pumped his fist.
"Quiet down!" Scissors hissed at him. "If people found out about us trying to find out the truth, we might vanish like that last group of detectives!"
"V-vanished?" Olly asked.
Tape nodded. "Yep, some detective boi's tried to find out what happened there, but they vanished when they just started puttin' them puzzle together. Reeeeeeaaaaaal suspicious, if ya ask me."
"It's like if the person who committed that crime is trying to NOT get caught..." Rubber Band said, worry in her voice.
"I-I..." Olly wanted to tell them the truth, but he couldn't find the right words to say. "Nevermind, it's nothing."
"How about you continue without us then, Olly." Scissors said. "We'll find out on our own."
Olly said nothing, but looked at Scissors with worry. Does he know about my wall...? Olly shook of the thought.
The lunch bell rang.
"See you tomorrow, Olly!" Hole Punch said, running off. He stopped when a teacher told him there was no running in the halls.
"The truth hurts, Sir." Scissors said. "But this is something that needs to be solved before history repeats itself." He walked off.
"He's weird, I know." Rubber Band said. "But he's right. We need to find out what happened before Mushroom City gets destroyed." She waved and left.
"See ya." Tape walked out the only single door in the cafeteria.
"See you in art class!" Colored Pencils said.
