Chapter 1: Prologue

A/N: This is just something that I thought of after reading some other Percy Jackson & the Olympians stories involving Assassin's Creed. I don't know where I will go with this, but the main pairing is Percy and Artemis, there may or may not be another pairing for Percy, but that is for another time in the story. For some information, in this story, the Isu existed and was still considered the first civilization. The Primordials and Chaos created them to be the perfect beings, and they still went through the entire Isu history and became extinct through the solar flare after the whole war with Adam and Eve. Then through the Fates and the Ananke, the gods of the world were named after the Isu. The gods of the world do know a little information about the Isu but nothing other than what they were and the supposed "treasures" that they possessed and coveted. They don't even know about the Assassins and Templars, well, a few do, but they keep the information to themselves. Percy is the Desmond Miles of my story, but a few changes, such as my Percy won't die from saving the world from a second solar flare as it didn't happen. I am going to use information from every current Assassin's Creed game there is. I have never played Assassin's Creed personally, but I have watched others play the game on Youtube, so my information will most likely come from the Assassin's Creed Fandom Wiki.

Disclaimer: I don't own anything in this story relating to Percy Jackson & the Olympians or the Assassin's Creed saga. If there is any talk in a different language as Assassin's Creed covers the entire world and Percy Jackson & the Olympians sometimes speak in Greek and Latin, it will be in bold and italics.

- New York City - Central Park -

Walking down the street towards Central Park were two girls around 15 or 16 years of age. Both girls were rather tall, standing around 5'11'' in height, but it was not surprising considering their father was 6'4''. They both had long, braided, midnight black hair with sea-green eyes with silver flecks in them. The girls had a tan to them that made them seem as if they were at the beach all day. They both wore grey hoodies with red accents with an eagle emblem along with black pants with the same red accents while wearing grey and red shoes that you would see on someone who did parkour. (A/N: Galina Voronina from Assassin's Creed Syndicate outfit) Around each of their necks was a silver neckless in the bow with a knocked arrow. All in all, the girls are what most would consider the epitome of beauty for their age and the perfect athletes.

The two girls kept walking until they sat on a bench overlooking a pond. They sat in silence until they were approached by a man they were familiar with as he was one of the few people who seemed to care about their family to visit them. He was smiling brightly down at them, his eyes full of care and familial love. The man was almost identical to their father. Same black hair, sea-green eyes, deep tan, but unlike their father, he had a neatly trimmed black beard, and sun-crinkles surrounded his eyes. He was wearing Birkenstocks, khaki Bermuda shorts, and a Hawaiian shirt.

The two girls got up and hugged the man with him returning it. He seemed to look at them for a minute as if making sure they had no injuries.

"Hello Grandfather, it has been a while since we last saw you. I believe it was about eight months ago." said the girl on the right.

"Yes, it was around our 16th birthday when we were in Athens, Greece." said the girl on the left.

"Ah, yes. It has been some time." the man said as he was reminiscing. "I am sorry that I haven't seen you in a while and that I usually visit more often, but the council has been worried about the recent monster gatherings. But I'm here now and want to talk to my favorite twins."

The twins shared a look and seemed to have a silent conversation. There appeared to be a few narrowed eyes and some humming. The man seemed to find the whole situation amusing as he smiled and stifled a laugh.

"Yes. Father, Kassandra, and the many other higher-ranking members of the Order have also mentioned the stirrings. I think that is why Father sent us here to you and Reyna." said the girl on the right said. "By the way, have you seen Reyna? Father said that she was supposed to take us to this camp that he went to when he was younger." She finished with a slight amount of annoyance.

The man's smile seemed to widen when he heard her, his eyes full of mirth. He knew that they didn't want to do this; they were just like their father-his son-when it came to wanting to uphold their duty to their Order. Wanting to make their ancestors proud and for their family-biological or not-to acknowledge the skill they possessed and feeling that by doing what their father and step-mother had asked of them would only hinder them. "Girls, remember why your father and Reyna asked you to do this. They believe-and so do I-that this will help you." they went to interrupt him until he put a hand up, stopping them. "I know that you are devoted to the Order, but you are still young; he wants to have new experiences. You two don't live anywhere close to a normal life. Even compared to demigods, your lives aren't normal. And before you say that it's in your blood, I know that it is. You might have better lives out of the family business than other demigods, but most demigods can say that monsters are scared of them, and based on who your father is, it doesn't surprise me."

The two girls seemed to sit up straighter and smiled a little at the mention of their father. "Grandfather, but is this the right choice? The way we train and these other demigods train is completely different. The only similarities will be when Kassandra trained us, and even then, her training is of a higher quality from what you, Father, and Reyna said." the girl on the left said. The girl on the right seemed to have agreed with her based on the look on her face and how she also nodded to every word her twin said.

The man knew that there was something that he needed to say to convince them. Then it hit him. He just needed to mention the one person, and that person was his son. They would never want to disappoint their father; he was their entire world, and they would fight anyone if it meant to protect him.

"Then don't do it for me or for yourselves. Do it for your father. Show him that if you can spend a summer at Camp Half-Blood that he can trust you to follow through with other missions he will give you in the future. This is your chance to show not just to me, or your other family, but to your father what the children of Percy Jackson can do!" he ended with some enthusiasm. He saw the girls' eyes light up once again at the mention of their father. He knew that all they ever wanted was to make their father proud even though he couldn't have been prouder of them. "Now, let's get going to see Reyna so she can take you to camp like she promised Percy." The twins nodded and left with their grandfather to find their transportation.

Unbeknownst to the three, a certain group of hunters had overheard the conversation, and many were surprised—especially two daughters of Zeus.

Ten Minutes Ago

These monster gatherings were just getting more and more annoying. Yes, she loved hunting, but she was starting to want a vacation. Maybe even go and see the man she loved and hadn't seen in eight years and possibly her daughters. Which still sometimes surprised her that she had a husband none the less kids. You might be wondering why she was surprised that she was married and had kids. That is because she is Artemis, Greek Goddess of the Moon, Archery, Childbirth, and Maidenhood. She was also one of the three greek virgin goddesses, well, she used to be. The only other god that knew about this would be her father-in-law Poseiden, Greek God of the Sea, Storms, Earthquakes, Droughts, Floods, and Horses. Yes, the famous man-hater Artemis had gone against her oath to be a forever virgin and fell in love.

Back to what was happening before she got lost in her memories, she and her huntresses were currently in Central Park in New York City before heading to Camp Half-Blood, but the monsters in the area seemed to be scared of something. She was about to have her hunters capture a monster to question before she felt some familiar signatures, and she didn't know what to think about them at the moment. She stopped, and her huntresses stopped while her lieutenant stepped forward.

"Is something the matter milady? Why have we stopped?" the 'young' girl asked. The others around her agreed with her. Artemis turned around and faced her lieutenant, Thalia Grace. She looked sixteen while wearing her hunters typical garb, a silvery parka, and camouflage pants. Thalia has choppy black hair with a silver circlet, electric blue eyes, and a silver bracelet on her left wrist.

"No, Thalia, but I think I found the reason for why the monsters are acting the way they are. I can sense three signatures nearby, one being a god and two being demigods." Artemis answered, walking away while her hunters nodded and followed after her.

It didn't take long too long for her, and her hunters arrived at their destination, and what they saw surprised and confused them. She was not surprised but confused and a little worried. They saw who they all recognized her uncle and fellow Olympian God Poseidon, but they also noticed that he was with two girls who looked kind of like him. They saw him hug them and start talking to them, so they just listened in on the conversation. And what they were about to hear was going to surprise them.

Conversation A Few Meters Away

"Hello Grandfather, it has been a while since we last saw you. I believe it was about eight months ago." said the girl on the right.

"Yes, it was around our 16th birthday when we were in Athens, Greece." said the girl on the left.

End

Even though the girls couldn't hear everything, they heard enough. To say that the girls were surprised would be an understatement, especially for the older ones who had personally met and knew Percy Jackson. He is the only demigod child of Poseidon alive and was said to have disappeared from the demigod world over thirty years ago. People only knew that he was alive because his brother in all but blood Nico di Angelo said so, at the time praetor Reyna Ramírez-Arellano said he was okay as she communicated with him, and his dad supposedly knew where he was but never answered when asked. No one knew exactly why he left except for a select few, as he left only a few months after the end of the second Giant War. This confused many, but most just saw it as him wanting out of the demigod life, and he chose isolation as his way of doing it.

The girls were about to start talking when they heard the crackle of electricity. Everyone turned to see a furious and confused Thalia. Deciding to do the smart thing, everyone took a few steps back to be at a safe distance.

"Did I hear that correctly? That dumb kelp-head has kids? KIDS!" She was practically yelling at the end. "So first he decides to disappear, but then he decides to go and have kids, but not just any kids. They are half-bloods! Who was the slut that he slept with!"

Artemis knew that she should be furious for being called a slut even though Thalia didn't realize that she just inadvertently called her mistress a slut. But she knew that she needed to stop this mess before it got out of hand and they were noticed. "Thalia!" That seemed to get her to stop and calm down some. "We will get our answers when we get to Camp Half-Blood. You heard what we heard. They are heading there today, so you can ask your questions when we get there. Now let's get moving."

Artemis released a breath that she didn't know she was holding in. She was going to see her daughters, her little girls-even if they were taller than her-again for the first time since they were eight years old. A feeling of nervousness started to rise in her as she didn't know what they would think of her. Would they love her, hate her for leaving them and their father-the only man she would ever love-it honestly scared her. But she knew that was for her to face herself.

She was still waiting for the two girls that she liked to call her family to show up. She still laughed a little at the situation she found herself in with the man she loved. Most would call it wrong, others disgusting, but did she care? No. If she were to be asked if she would trade it away for anything in the world she already knew her answer, it would be no. When it first got out that she was in contact with her now-husband, she was asked by multiple people day in and day out about how and where he was. She would always answer in the way of 'He is doing fine' or 'He's doing the same as the last five times you asked me this week'. It got tiring, so when she retired from being a praetor of New Rome, she joined him on his adventures and work while never looking back. She always thanked those who granted her immortality so that she could forever live beside the man she was in love with. It also helped that she was given it when she was just 24 years old so that she was forever in her prime. Reyna would have continued to reminisce if she didn't notice three individuals walking up to her at the cafe she was at. She got up, hugged all three of them, and then sat back down, ordering coffee for everyone.

"Hello, Reyna. It's been a while since we have seen each other." spoke the man in the middle.

"Yes, it has Lord Poseidon, but I am glad to see you again," Reyna replied respectfully.

"Now Reyna, what have I told you about calling me lord still. You are my daughter-in-law, are you not? I've told you that you can just call me Poseidon now or better yet call me father or dad." Poseidon said with a smile on his face.

"I know. It's just that we are now in Greco-Roman territory, or relation is supposed to be a secret still. I don't want to jeopardize anything or cause a misunderstanding." She replied, trying to keep the nervousness out of her voice. It didn't seem to work if the slight quirk of the two girls' lips was anything. Reyna realized that this was going nowhere, so she got to the point of what needed to be said. "Ok, now that we are done laughing at my expense, let's get to the point of what needs to be done."

"Yes, let us get this out of the way first, and then we can spend some time together," Poseidon said. "I don't know all of the details except that Percy needed me to do some things for the girls." The twins seemed confused at his but didn't question anything.

"Yes, Percy would like for you to allow them to stay in the Poseidon Cabin until their mother claims them," she said.

The two girls seemed to perk up a little at the mention of their birth mother, even if they tried to hide it. Reyna and Poseidon appeared to notice this and hoped that their mother would claim them. They didn't want the girls to feel like their mother didn't want them, even if she spent time with them when they were younger. The girls were saddened when they were told that their mother wasn't going to visit them anymore and practically closed themselves off from anyone they didn't consider a friend, family, or an ally.

"Of course they can stay in my cabin! They are of the sea so why wouldn't they be able to stay there? And if you need somewhere to stay while at Camp Half-Blood, you can stay there as well, Reyna, you are also family." Poseidon answered as if what was just asked surprised him.

She was a little taken back by what he said. "Yes, yes. And Thank you for letting me stay in your cabin. Now for you two," she said to the two girls who focused all of their attention on her. "When we get to camp, I will take you to see Chiron since he runs it. You will tell him your names, who your father is, and I will take care of anything else that will be needed." The girls seemed to accept this as they nodded along without question.

And for the rest of the time they spent together, they just talked and caught up with each other. They left two hours later with the females getting in a car and Poseidon disappearing in a sea breeze.

A/N: This is my first story that I am writing, and I would appreciate not getting flamed, just some constructive criticism. Just know that this is for my enjoyment because I am a bored high school student and wanted to do something when I had no classwork. I put most of this through Grammarly, so if there are mistakes, then I am sorry. If my information is inaccurate, it is because of my lack of knowledge or the fact that I have not reread the PJO series in a while, but I will try to keep it as accurate as possible. I will be releasing chapters at random and possibly even more than one chapter a day, I just don't know. Remember, if you don't like it. Then why are you reading it?
