Chapter 4

Fragments of reality floated around a human, his mind focused on the crack in the air as he slowly proceeded to stitch it back together. The humanoid engulfed in black crimson flames felt his eyes twitching, growing ever annoyed at the increasing garbage appearing out of the crack while the crawling chaos was stitching back the crack in the air.

Unfortunately the dark humanoid knows precisely why Chaos was progressing so slowly. Suddenly becoming extremely powerful all at once tends to bring the consequence of not knowing one's own strength… A message made painfully obvious thanks to the blonde little girl currently too busy playing with her phone than to pay attention to what was currently happening. Speaking of…

"Ozim, if you're not going to help out can you please leave. Your phone is distracting!"

Glancing towards the blonde girl, she proceeded to press the side of her new phone. An all too familiar click echoed into the humanoid's ears as the girl turned to leave… UL couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, normally she'd annoyingly respond with a sarcastic remark no?

Before he could ask her any questions the familiar sight of an insectoid maid came rushing in.

"I heard gunfire and an explosion… What's going on here?!"

Undead really couldn't help but roll his eyes. If this is going to be a trend he is going to have to quarantine the place… With concrete barriers, red and white tape and everything…

"Nothing in particular, just fixing a rift created by these two idiots-." He sighed.

""Hey!""

"-Had made, in fact the red one is about to lea-"

"Eh? What's going on here su~"

The red haired maid said, popping out of nowhere. Followed by a blue haired woman in a maid outfit and an armoured woman with jet black hair… Who is also dressed in a maid outfit…

"I HEARD GUNSHOTS AND EXPLOSIONS! WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?!"

The blue haired woman who is yet to become a maid shouted.

The dark humanoid engulfed aflame merely stared at the face of three unwanted appearances of the maids. He got the premonition that people are going to keep asking if he didn't do anything and decided now is a good time to make good on his promise…

"You can ask for washboard over there about what happened, now get out!"

Being practically pushed out of the bar, the dark humanoid snapped his fingers before a concrete barrier blocked the entrance with a sign that said "Do not enter" written on it. The four maids looked towards the vampire loli. She could already guess what they were about to ask…

"Yeah… So, remember the cracks from Mass For The Dead? It's in the bar…"

Two of the four maids nodded their heads in satisfaction of the answer she'd given.

Noticing Narberal's face expressing even further confusion Lupusregina proceeded to reach for her head.

"I'll tell you about it later su~!"

Narberal felt the palm of the werewolf maid pressing towards the top of her head, the muffled swishing noise echoed into her ears as Narberal merely deadpanned towards the redhead. Though rather annoyed by the werewolf rubbing her head, Narberal merely nodded at her.

The insectoid maid on the other hand merely tilted her head. Her eyes paying more attention to the black rectangle the vampire was holding in her hand over a mere crack in the air.

"Actually, I wanted to know why you're holding an iPhone…"

"Oh, about that… Remember the MFTD crack? Yeah, it kinda isekai'd this thing to me…"

Freezing momentarily, the insectoid maid proceeded to snatch the phone off the little vampire girl.

"I thought I'd never see such a thing again! Can I have it?"

A bit irked at the sudden removal of the technological brick, Ozimyy felt her fingers colliding with her thumb. Damage to her hand only mitigate due to how close her finger was to said thumb.

"If you want phones, can't you ask Undead to magic you one of them?"

Secretly, Ozimyy found herself glad she decided to watch Madness Combat as reference material, she couldn't just say no to the insectoid maid's pleading eyes. For a moment after the last syllable had escaped her mouth, the vampire loli observed the insectoid maid who is around her own height freeze, seemingly processing in the last statement the little girl had just said.

"Undead can make phones?"

"Yeah… He is a reality warper too…"

"Huh, so we got three reality warpers…"

"And counting, never saw ABD here yet but if I was a betting gu *Ahem* girl, ROB is most likely going to throw him in at some point…"

Both girls only shuddered momentarily at the thought of the omnipotent being causing mayhem once again.

"Apologies for the interruption lady Ozimyy but who's this 'Ayy Bea Dee'?"

Ozimyy jolted slightly, startled by the voice of Narberal that suddenly interrupted Ozimyy's thought process. Despite that being the case Ozimyy decided to humour her.

"Well, how familiar are you with Multiverse Theory?"

Narberal winced at the term, as much as she'd hate to admit it, the term is almost completely foreign to her. Only mentioned briefly by a few supreme beings from years back she wished she had listened in more closely before Nazarick got teleported to this new world.

"Less than I would like…"

"Not going to let you force in a DBZA reference Ozimyy…"

Ozimyy merely sighed at the insectoid maid who turned out to be someone she knew. Slightly annoyed at the girl but she supposes now wasn't a time to force in tired jokes because she was unoriginal enough not to bother trying her own. She supposes it's time to get to the point though…

"Right, notice how we look nothing like your version of the guild? That's because we were from a different universe, one where we made different decisions that ended up with how we look now. ABD, also known as AtheistBasementDragon, is what we call our version of Momonga and he is a writer. He creates and maintains entire worlds on his lonesome…"

Perking up momentarily, Ozimyy could have sworn she saw the raven haired battlemaid's eyes shining briefly. Recalling back to the manga she hoped she didn't cause unnecessary complications along the line, that tends to be a thing in the world she now resides in…

"To think Momonga ended up being so grand…"

"Yeah, that's not to say the one we have here isn't equally as grand but outsiders tend to respect those who can weave worlds for some reason…"

Narberal nodded her head at the little girl's comment, as grand the Momonga of Ozimyy's world may be that does not change the fact that the Momonga of her Ainz Ooal Gown was still the only supreme being from her own home universe who stayed in Nazarick until the end. Outsiders will never understand that importance…

"Then it is up to us to teach these insufferable insects the glory of Nazarick"

"Indeed it is…" The little girl replied, trying not to dampen the spirit of the raven haired maid.

Now content with the answer, Narberal proceeded to follow the other four in an attempt to follow their strange conversations.

At the very least Ozimyy could give the maid points for trying…

As the others were occupying themselves with the talk to the villagers on the world around them so casually, almost carefree, standing in the corner, hidden from everyone else, Reinhard however was troubled, so very much so.

In a sense, he was glad to be here, to be living the fantasy one that could ever truly be found in fictions and fanfictions.

But to know that his existence here was the result of some outside beings, a ROB that wants to have some fun no less, he became far, far less optimistic about this whole situation. Oh, how he desired something that just happened because it does.

Sure, there can theoretically exist moderate ROB. Yet, moderate to who? To what standard? Probably not matter now however, with such a condescending and playful tone this ROB had, there was a high chance that it was not a beneficial one to them… At all…

A phantom bitterness was felt on the tip of his tongue as he thought of beings that had the same sort of attitude, those he did not dare to say their names. The main reason was that he was worried. Worried he may unintentionally attract their abominable attention to them. A detrimental prospect all and all, especially since they can be very much real now and it was still far too early for others to really handle. Beyond that, he was simply disgusted by the very existence of many of these things. real.

The seemingly only good thing now was that it had not proven itself to be the self-righteous sort… yet.

Alas, it was not exactly what he was worried about the most right now, rather it was something the others mentioned.

Normally he should be aware of such with relative ease, yet with such a sudden transformation, he had not fully come to terms with his new overwhelming power. Fortunately, he had made some considerable progress, but he found that he still wanted to make absolutely sure from the source.

"Undead, are you there? It is me Reinhard"

"OH FOR FUCK SAKE! WHAT IS IT!? FIRST OZIMYY, THEN THE MAIDS, NOW YOU! BE QUICK! I AM TRYING TO HELP FIXING CHAOS BULLSHITERY HERE!"

Hearing it, his grips tightened, his eyes opened wide, his face scowled immediately turned both pale and red of rage.

"What. Happened?" He asked, barely calming down the surging rage within him.

"Our dear friend Chaos here tried to create for himself a pocket dimension, and a specific vampire loli just haddddddd to make it worse. Let's just say it kinda made quite a mess over here, we are trying to close it off. Vampire loli not included."

He calmed down by a large margin. Yet, it was still very much worrisome. The idea of a dimensional rift never really bolded well with him, especially since the sheer amount of possibilities that could happen, more so to ones that were created by those who had not truly controlled their newfound powers yet.

"Up till now, have you felt or noticed something… wrong about the rift or things coming from those rifts?"

"Not exactly, the rifts themselves are wrong to begin wi…"

A sudden silence dawned between them as Undead realised what Reinhard meant.

"You're worried about that, aren't you?"

"That and anything similar to it, they all had a distinctive sense of wrongness in them and all are damnable the same way. Can you blame me though? We and some others know just how devastating they can be… By the way, why did those two even try to do something so callous like that within the Tomb even!?]

"Reasons that would benefit their own satisfaction." Undead commented lazily.. "And also, says the guy who tried to have a reality-altering duel within Nazarick."

"..."

At that moment, time was halted for Undead. He became utterly frightened to the degree that he trembled where he stood. As if it was not enough, next thing he knew, all he felt was eldritch gazes from nowhere and everywhere, glaring at him like thousands blazing living suns, waiting to devour him whole, past present and future.

"Whoa whoa whoa… Calm down, I am just joking."

"Sorry, it was mostly unintentional. I am mostly just hating myself, I don't understand why I did it back then, the whole duelling thing that is. It was, at best, utterly retarded. And it also seemed that I don't have as much control over my power as I expected just yet."

"Right… right. But fucking hell, how lucky are you to get that form? And just how ridiculously broken that form of yours is?"

"Considering it is among the main cast from a chuuni genre visual novel of all things… VERY RIDICULOUSLY BROKEN. And I would not say I am lucky to be honest."

"Right…" Undead doubted, but when some of them have the powers to almost break through the limits of fucking reality, what else is there to not happen? "Anyway, the rift is almost done closing, there is nothing else coming out from the rift. But hey, I am not too professional in this, I think you should ask our friend Chaos himself."

"I see… Thank you."

And so, he had a conversation with Chaos, one filled with ideas and concepts not meant for mortal beings to comprehend, not even at the slightest. Yet, as their existence elevated, so did their minds. In a miraculous, but also expected, they understood them thoroughly and processed the data with ease, as if it was elementary maths to super geniuses. Fitting for what they were now, and the title they held in the eyes of the denizens of Nazarick.

After the clarification, Reinhard was pleased… Somewhat.

"Undead, Chaos… While I am assured, thanks to you two, I am not completely confident yet. After the rift is closed, I want you two to quarantine and fortify that part for now, just in case."

"To what degree?"

"YES."

"..."

"And I will be at the rifts as well, just to make sure."

"Ey ey captain."

With all said and done, like a command to himself, he was immediately there, at both places at the same time, each doing its own thing though the mind and body was still one, just as how one of his form's abilities should be.

And at the village elder house, he smiled as he sensed a group of someone coming to the village, someone who he knew too well, as well as how things were going to happen.

'I seriously hope that thing will let us rest for at least a day. He deserves to… All of us deserve to.'

Almost unnoticed by him, a specific succubus had been secretly glancing at him the whole time since, ponderingly almost to the point of worry.

~line break~

"Lord Momonga, it seems some knight-like people are heading towards this village."

Momonga pondered the situation momentarily, internally he sighed at the prospect of fighting another group of knights again. Did they have something more impressive? Seeing how lacklustre they had been when a certain omnipotent being wasn't meddling with anything, he began to ponder the reason behind their confidence…

"A world class item perhaps?"

"A world class item, sir Momonga?"

Momonga's train of thought broke as he looked towards the village chief, his eyes looking at the masked overlord in confusion.

"No, nevermind about that… Instead, please have the villagers gather around your house before coming with us to the square."

"Yes sir!"

Turning around, his eye sockets laid sight towards his two companions and Albedo now standing in front of him. As he began to walk by, the three who already knew his intentions proceeded to follow the overlord.

"Momonga, I'll keep an eye out in case ROB tries to do anything funny…" Reinhard's words entered into the overlord's consciousness. Indeed, he supposes his common sense shouldn't apply as much here as there could always be the possibility of ROB outright buffing the knights…

"Umu." He let out before laying sight on the silhouette of dozens of men on horseback gradually growing.

Seconds passed, his undead body feeling the breeze of wind as he could finally make out the faces of the riders. The frontmost man was distinct from the others as he wore no helmet with steel armour outlined in red, it was close enough for the one in front to briefly look at the overlord in mild confusion.

His horse slowly trotting towards the overlord, the man whom Momonga assumed to be the leader approached the five

"I am the Warrior Captain of the Re-Estize Kingdom, Gazef Stronoff. I have received orders from the king to hunt down the knights that have been wreaking havoc on all of the villages they have visited."

Stepping forwards, Momonga proceeded to bow his head slightly towards the warrior.

"Greetings Warrior Captain, my name is Momonga. And this is our party, Albedo, Reinhard and Inkrael." Briefly waving his hand behind him, the overlord allowed the chief royal warrior to see the other three behind them.

"I am a magic caster passing by who decided to help out after seeing knights slaughter the villagers here."

The man proceeded to dismount from his steed before walking up to the disguised skeleton.

"I thank you for helping the village, mere words cannot fully express my gratitude."

Before the Warrior Captain could proceed, Artoria quickly appeared behind Momonga.

"Master, I have identified unknown figures surrounding this village. They are approaching as I speak!"

Though not intended for his ears, Momonga felt unease sweeping through his body before the feeling dissipated with [Emotional Suppression]. For some reason, he felt ROB had a hand in these shenanigans again…

"Momonga, allow me to deal with this problem."

The grand caster's voice echoed into his mind as the Overlord turned around to meet him. Internally he sighed once more, somewhat reluctant in relying on his friends to do most of the work. But the determination in the grand caster's eyes told him enough to know that this was Inkrael's fight.

"Very well Inkrael, I trust you'll know what to do. I'll be asking the Warrior Captain here a few questions in the meantime…"

The warrior outlined in red perked up in the Overlord's response as guilt began to flow through his mind.

"Sir Inkrael, was it? Please allow us to assist you! These men are likel-"

"No Gazef, Inkrael knows what he's doing, please allow him to deal with this by himself." The Overlord interrupted, for a moment Gazef could have sworn he saw red light glint ever so lightly over the blue eyelids of the masked figure.

"Very well, sir Momonga…"

~Scene change~

Artoria Pendragon stared towards the sight of celestials approaching her direction. Her orders were simple, slay every being who approaches her master until they meet with the leader.

Grasing hold of her blade, she began to walk towards the hoard of armoured angels. Her arms gripped the hilt of her blade, still invisible to the world around her, before she swung it towards the celestial beings.

The invisible blade immediately split apart the first angel in front of her before a torrent of wind violently followed suit. The air proceeded to tear apart any celestial who attempted to overwhelm the British king with their numbers.

Following up her attack with an upswing, the pursuing angels followed their contemporaries. The wind rushing to tear apart the newly created celestials as she slowly approaches the source.

Watching over the fight a fair distance away, Gazef observed in awe at the blue knight taking on the countless hoards of celestials on her own. Though seemingly unarmed, the armoured woman destroyed the celestial forces of what he identified as the Sunlight Scripture of the Slane Theocracy without as much as a scratch.

"Amazing…"

In response, Momonga merely chuckled at the chief warrior's words. His eye sockets focused more on the grand caster behind the armoured woman.

"Is there something wrong, sir Momonga?"

"No, I'm merely waiting until Inkrael decides to stop playing with his food…"

Gazef's irises shrunk slightly at the revelation, to not only avoid getting so much as a scratch from a hoard of angels but to also treat the encounter as some sort of game. Closing his eyes, he smiled. Though part of him still felt guilty not joining the battle with the white haired caster, he could at the very least now see that he'd likely just get in the way.

As the King of Camelot tore through the twentieth wave of celestials with her invisible blade, Inkrael finally found himself looking eye to eye towards the leader of the operation. In front of him was a clean shaven man in dark black and blue robes, though he didn't want to display his nerves faltering, his eyes had told the grand caster enough about the man's current mental state. The added subtle shivering made it obvious…

"Nigun Grid Luin, Captain of the sunlight scripture…"

Upon hearing the words echo into the Captain's eardrums, his eyes widened as he unintentionally displayed his state of confusion. Despite not uttering a single word to the grand caster he somehow managed to identify who he was.

"H… How did you know my name?!"

The grand caster merely smirked in response to the Captain's question.

"You'll be amazed what clairvoyance can do…"

Though the words didn't exactly carry any significance towards the Captain of the Sunlight Scripture, Nigun felt his confusion quickly turning into frustration towards the white, black and red robed caster.

"Angels!" "Artoria!"

As immediately as they were being ordered, the celestial felt the air violently tearing the angels into pieces.

"Seems like negotiations have broken down. A shame, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't see this coming… Mind if I conduct an experiment Captain?"

"Principality of Observa-"

Much like its lesser angel counterpart, the Principality of Observation quickly found itself split into two before its commands were able to be registered. Light gleamed towards the King of the round table as she lowered her now revealed golden blade.

"[Dimensional Lock]"

A field of red quickly expanded from the grand caster, his smile widened a bit further as he observed the state of confusion the sunlight scripture now finds themselves in.

"Well, it seems I can use Yggdrasil spells after all… Too bad you don't know the significance of this spell…"

Losing their cool, the sunlight scripture all raised their arms collectively in a panic. Their minds hoped the spells would do something to the caster in red and white.

"[Charm]" "[Hold]" "[Fireball]" "[Lightning]"

"Oh? I suppose I should fight back…"

For a moment, Inkrael's eyebrow glinted slightly as the sunlight scripture felt a wave of energy rush towards the holy men. Before they could register the attack, dark clouds quickly exploded towards their general direction shortly afterwards forcing their bodies to fly back. Most of them didn't make it out intact.

Nigun however, though badly cripled from the attack, managed to grasp a sealing crystal into his hand. Immediately he raised the crystal into the sky before the device started to glow.

"Dominion of Authority!"

Despite the radiant glow of the celestial angel being materialised from thin air, the grand caster only felt his eyes half close momentarily. The size of the being granted little if any meaning to the caster in red, black and white. The Captain of the surviving sunlight scripture smiled.

"Haha! Frozen scared? You should be! For you are gazing upon the highest tier of angels! I didn't want to use it but against you it's worth it! Feel honoured that I had summoned it against you! Rejoic-"

"Are you done monologuing? Because your angel is less impressive than you think it is, just so you know it's not even the highest tier…" Inkrael deadpanned, getting somewhat tired of hearing the Captain's monologuing. Startled by his rather unimpressed attitude the Captain's body began to shake once again, clearly phased by the grand caster's attitude.

"Why you! Dominion of Authority, strike him with [Holy Smite]!"

As Inkrael's vision went white with holy light smiting the grand caster, the white haired caster felt his body barely warming up from the light as his eyelids remained half closed. The light quickly disappeared soon afterwards before the caster looked back at the Captain. His attitude remained unimpressed.

"Why you!"

The king of Britain raised her blade, only for an arm to block her way. The arm of her master.

"Do not worry Artoria, I am fine… The attack did not hurt me in the slightest…"

The Captain's eyes quickly shrank from the sight, his smile quickly only remaining on his face as his mind didn't fully register the sight of the caster not even receiving so much as a slight sear.

"D… Do it again! Hit him with [Holy Smi-"

Before the Captain could finish his order the grand caster merely raised his arm, his middle finger held back by his thumb before it flicked towards the giant celestial. The impact on the air quickly chain reacted to the wind tearing the angel appart. No different from the other angels the grand caster had encountered.

"I would ask if you had more but I've already seen that you don't… Any last words Captain?"

If the Captain's eyes didn't shrink prior it would have done so at this moment, Nigun's body began to shake uncontrollably at the sight of the white haired caster.

"Wait! Please, wait sir… No lord caster! Please spare us– me! I can exchang-"

"Had you remained absolute in the protection of your comrades I might have considered sparing you, though since I have already foreseen you betraying them for your own life, you have forfeited it all. No money in the world will make me reconsider my decision."

Nigun's irises shrunk to the absolute smallest possible, had his legs not have gotten crippled from the grand caster's last attack they would have been paralysed from the fear he felt looking at the caster at this moment. The caster's arm raised towards the Captain, the palm of his hand firmly in front of the Captain's face before the last words the Captain heard echoed towards his ears.

"Good bye Nigun Grid Luin, Captain of the sunlight scripture…"

~line break~

The soft grey lead pencil held the graphite pressed together against the blank white fabric. Tenshi watched as the fine pencil marked itself upon the canvas as she slowly stroked a line through the blank display.

Reflecting back upon her work, she saw the first layer of what was going to become a picture of a blue haired woman with two loops tied to the back of her hair pinned together by a golden needle. Or in other words, what is now herself…

She does suppose she could change up the dress, perhaps paint a more fancy dress rather than what she was wearing right now, which was a simplistic cyan dress with frills only on her sleeve and skirt and a white gilet accompanied with a bit of blue colour on the cloth body warmer. Additionally she could remove the white veils around her arms and change the colour to something other than blue… But she'd rather not be accused of making an unoriginal reskin.

Smiling, she watched content on the first layer of her art piece. She placed her pencil on the table nearby before grabbing her paintbrush. Water soaked the bristles of the brush before being quickly removed from the body of water as it began to mix primary colours together in order to begin her primary layer of her painting.

Before she could colour over the greyled layer however, a short burst of thunder suddenly echoed into her ears.

Her fingers clenched tightly upon the pastel she held on her left arm, carefully she lowered the wooden board so as to not spill the paint on the tool before distant thunder had struck once again, only this time the thunder didn't abruptly disappear but faded over time.

"Eh? Do not enter?"

She just so happens to overhear as she was beginning to leave the room she was in. Mildly annoyed at the disruption of her art.

Grabbing hold of her hairpin, she proceeded to point it towards the nearest wall. The unique properties of the magic materials that made the wall lead to an easier time to open a gap for her to walk through.

Peeking through the gaping hole floating in mid air, she observed the heterochromic eyed half elf looking at a concrete wall in dejection. The mood did not stay for very long however as Tenshi suddenly felt the air growing chilly, looking in both directions she couldn't make out anything that would contribute to causing a chilly atmosphere.

Before she was able to ponder as to why she felt that way however, rapid tapping quickly echoed into her ears. Snapping towards the source of the noise she could only make out an image of the black and white haired half elf rushing towards her direction before she felt the half-elf's body collide with her own.

Fingers of the half-elf pressed hard into Tenshi's skin as she felt the heterochromic haired half elf shake the blue haired yokai.

"Teach me spell cards!"

The blue haired yokai's mind scrambled to recall the half elf's words, it almost seems like the half elf wanted Tenshi to teach her spell cards. The shaking intensified just as the yokai placed the palms of her hands on the black and white haired girl's shoulders.

"Zesshi! Calm down!"

She yelled, her arms pulling the half elf away from her as much as possible.

"Why the hell do you want to know spell cards anyways?"

The half elf's eyes grew blank from the memories flooding itself into her head. Lowering her head in shame, she released the yokai before proceeding to fumble her fingers.

"Can I tell you after getting somewhere more private?"

Tenshi sighed, nodding at the half elf's request before bringing her back to the room she was in prior.
