A/N: You might notice how late proceeding chapters will be released, that's because I'm a slow writer. The chapters before were written in advance so I had them stocked up. Was recommended to upload them weekly instead of all at once but yeah…

Special thanks to KobeNiku for helping me out with this chapter.

Chapter 5

Grasping the item in front of her, the woman wearing a red pair of glasses with a crimson broadcloth coat and white skirt unknowingly had her irises shrinking whilst she watched a caster in white, black and red casually standing upon the remains of what used to be the sunlight scripture.

Taking a step back, the Thousand Leagues Astrologer began to contemplate as to how she was supposed to break the news to the Theocracy. Her mind scrambled for an answer as she silently watched the image of the caster ending the life of Nigun Grid Luin. The thought process in her mind only snapped out when she heard an unfamiliar voice behind her.

"Eh? What are you watching there, Miss Astrologer?"

As the words entered her eardrums her body immediately swung towards the source of the voice. Her mind scrambled as she found herself looking at a blonde neko boy wearing a beige uniform of some kind covered in pockets with a red armband of a tilted religious symbol staring back at her.

"Where did you come from?!" She demanded of the cat boy, the Thousand League Astrologer quickly raising the palm of her hand as she proceeded to point it towards the unphased cat boy.

"Eh? You didn't think you'd be able to spy on us without us finding out did you?"

Staring towards the cat boy, she merely glared at him. The air grew colder as she did whilst she readied to end the life of the intruder.

"Well Miss Astrologer, when a mommy cat girl and a daddy cat boy loves each other very much-"

"Not that, how did you get here!"

The cat boy merely raised both of his shoulders in a shrug in response. Still unphased by the glowing hand pointed towards him.

"Well, I decided to arrive here and say hell-"

"Bullshit! There are hundreds of guards in this very building! How did you get here?!"

"Maybe they were just not paying any attention~"

Rolling her eyes she began to pour her mana towards the glowing projectile in front of her hand, she began to envision the many scenarios in which the cat boy ceased to be an annoyance to her. Most of which she imagined was him dead.

"Very likely story, if you have nothing else to say"

"I'll be dragging you to the cardinals. Let the gods have mercy upon you as the inquisitors have none!"

Clicking his tongue making a 'tutt tutt' sound, the feline demihuman simply raised the palm of his hand before his index finger wagged horizontally.

"You're way too predictable Astrologer-san. At least try to think of something original…"

"Y… You irritating animal!"

"Eh? Did you run out of retorts or something? Relying on good old racism to compensate for your unoriginality? You do know stearn girls with glasses are supposed to be smart right? Lemme guess, your next line is going to be…"

"Enough of this, I'm going to make you wish you were never born!"

Feeling the slight heat radiate from the room he was in, the feline merely shifted his torso to his right as a streak of light breezed past where his body had been, microseconds passed as the cat glanced back towards the astrologer of the Slane Theocracy before winking.

"Like I said Astrologer-san, too predictable…"

As if to add salt towards the injury, the cat boy proceeded to raise his hand in a mock salute before grinning towards the woman. Grimacing she shot out another projectile towards the cat boy, only for him to avoid that attack as well.

"And here I was hoping to see what makes the Slane Theocracy so special… What a sha-"

"[Magic Arrow]"

Breathing unsteadily from the body collapsing to the ground. The Thousand Leagues Astrologer began to drift her focus away from the corpse, only to hear the voice of the cat boy who had been irritating her thus far. "You know it's rude to attack someone while they are talking right?"

Turning around, there was the very same cat boy she had thought she had killed, snapping her head towards where the body had been had revealed the corpse to be missing. Not a single drop of blood remained from the spot.

"How did you do that?"

"It's not all that fun if I just tell you how I work now is it miss Astrologer fufufu~"

The temperature around the woman began to drop momentarily as she glanced back towards the cat boy, momentarily she could have sworn his eyes glowed just before she blinked as she started to feel the air around her chilling. Glaring towards the feline demihuman, she attempted to push aside the feeling as she attempted to retort.

"The guards will be here any minute… You'll b-"

"Hey Oblivon, you know where the other guards are? My blade's still feeling a bit dull…" The voice came not from the cat boy in front of her but across the entrance, the appearance of a cat's head with a pair of antennae on its head in a princesses dress with grasshopper blades for arms.

"Y… You disgustin-"

Before the Astrologer could finish her sentence she found herself interrupted by the two felines.

"Wait, seriously? That's your line? You sound like a racist stereotypical story villain…"

Smiling, Oblivion only nodded towards the not demihuman cat known as the Abeemination. He couldn't help but agree with the… Thing, standing behind the racist astrologer…

"Try to say something original at least Astrologer-san ~"

As she inserted the newly constructed test tube towards the stand on her desk, KobeNiku rotated her head towards the steps growing gradually louder before finding herself looking at the rainbow crystal winged vampire girl commonly associated with Flandre Scarlet walking into the room with a pout on her face… Trusting her instincts she felt the palm of her hand grasp over the bow she had leaning against a wall.

Blinking momentarily, KobeNiku sighed a bit before looking back towards the red dressed vampire. "Can I help you Ozimyy?"

As said vampire snapped her head towards Kobe she dropped her expression before looking towards the silver haired woman dressed in half red and the other half navy blue. A look commonly associated with Eirin Yagokoro. "Ah sorry Kobe, Entoma took my iPhone and hasn't given it back to me yet…"

KobeNiku tilted her head after the words processed in her mind, placing her bow back against the wall. She could at the very least say the vampire didn't come for danmaku… Yet. She raised her right arm to rest her chin upon it. "How did you get your hands on a smartphone? I thought Flandre didn't know what they even were…"

"You know that rift thing that was the main plot point for Mass for the Dead? A rift opened and gave it to me. The rift isn't much of a problem though since Chaos and Undead are fixing it…" The vampire shrugged. The silver haired woman merely nodded as she did so. Not saying a word. "Oh and before you ask, I already messaged Ai- I mean Momonga about it…"

"You keep making that mistake don't you?" KobeNiku noted, chuckling slightly at the vampire's statement only to pause momentarily as she recalled that she doesn't usually find such dry observations funny. Seems like Momonga wasn't the only one dealing with personality alterations.

Sighing momentarily she looked back at the blond vampire. She couldn't help but wonder, now that she found herself finding parts of her personality altered, however small that may be, what does that say for the vampire loli who specialises in destruction? "May I take a look at your phone?"

"Eh? Why do you want to look at it?" Ozimyy before she tilted her head in confusion.

Closing her eyes, KobeNiku smirked. "I just want to compare the parts of your phone to the parts I made for my phone, that's all - "

Ozimyy paused as she heard Kobe's words, her mind scrambling as it tried to recall the syllables that the Eirin lookalike had said. "How did yo-"

"If Eirin from Gensokyo was able to make fake moons and seal off Earth on her lonesome without much effort, did you really think a flimsy box of silicon and rare earth metals would be much of a challenge?" KobeNiku simply shrugged as she interrupted the very predictable question the vampire girl was in the midst of asking.

"Don't break it…" Ozimyy narrowed her eyes. Her mind, reluctant to allow the master doctor to toy around with the device she hadn't gotten back yet. "Actually what were you doing making a smart phone anyways?"

"Oh, I was planning on colonising the moon…" The silver haired doctor waved her free arm dismissively, the vampire's eyes perked up as she had just finished her sentence.

Now frantically looking around the area, the vampire loli noticed the various devices scattered around the room. Most of them being construction materials or power supplies and large scale magical devices. "Wait, you mean now?!"

The silver haired doctor merely winked towards the vampire's general direction as a response. she gave a smug grin towards the vampire loli despite her newly developed calm and composure. "Yup, about to make the bridge and everything…"

"Damn, and here I thought I was first to derail the plot… Maybe I should step up the game…" She muttered, disappointed that her friend was breaking the plot faster than she was.

KobeNiku merely stared with mirth, her mind was well aware that Ozimyy was planning on breaking something important. In fact, the vampire was probably the one who created or at least helped create the cracks from Mass for the Dead didn't she?

"Still, why did you make a phone anyways? Shouldn't it be useless since there's nobody to call?" The vampire tilted her head in curiosity as she recalled the Brain of the Moon mentioning her comparing the blonde's iPhone with her own.

KobeNiku merely winked in response to the vampire's question "That's for me to know and for you to find out - "

Rolling her eyes, Ozimyy should have known the silver haired woman's answer. "Alright then, keep your secrets…" She nodded off, resisting the urge to wave her hand off in order to follow a forced meme.

Though she knew the real reason for that line specifically, KobeNiku decided to play along as in order to move the conversation along. "Good, now what are you actually here for?"

"Fite me!" The vampire answered almost immediately.

The Brain of the Moon blinked, not sure if she heard right. "Wut?"

Ozimyy's eyes perked up immediately as she realised a mistake in her phrase. "Ah, in Danmaku, I mean… I have nothing to do…" She answered quickly in hopes to rectify said mistake.

"Ah, I see," KobeNiku sighed before blinking as she casually placed the faith generator away from the vampire. "Well then, where do you want to do this?"

"I don't know, was thinking here would d-"

"No, absolutely not!"

"Eh? But why?"

Closing her eyes, the Brain of the Moon merely gestured her arm around the room, emphasising the expensive and delicate equipment neatly organised. "I don't know Ozimyy, why wouldn't I want to fight you here?"

"Ah, but Inkrael said he didn't want me fighting on the 6th floor…"

"Yes… Why do you think that's the case?"

Fluttering her eyes half open, the silver haired woman merely stared towards the vampire as the girl looked back towards her as though she had done nothing wrong. "Danmaku doesn't really damage the environment though!"

"Perhaps if you're not Flandre, one who manipulates destruction…" KobeNiku responded, her attention more focused on the device she was currently working on over whatever the vampire wanted to let her know.

As irritation began to gather itself slightly towards the little girl, she couldn't help but pout towards The brain of the Moon. "But I'm bored, didn't destroy a single thing except a bit of reality when I tried to destroy a Mass for the Dead rift today…"

"So it was you…"

"That still doesn't solve my problem you know…"

A bead of sweat began to form on the siverhaired's head as she concluded that the vampire won't simply go away unless she has her fight. Taking a sigh, the palms of her hands quickly collided together before pointing towards Ozimyy. "How about this, if you let me continue with my work I'll make you a phone with internet access!"

"My phone already got internet though… Wouldn't have logged into Fate Grand Order without it…"

"I'll install cheats for Fate Grand Order then."

"I don't wanna cheat though…"

Slowly inhaling air into her nostrils, Kobeniku blanched at the process of running out of things she could bargen with. Exhaling the air through her mouth, she began to ponder for what seemed to be a few minutes from her perspective.

"A $100 Apple gift card in USD?"

"REALLY?!"

"Fine, Amazon then…"

"Nono, go back"

KobeNiku couldn't help but smile from the reaction the vampire gave out. A mischievous side of her not influenced by Eirin popped into her consciousness. "Nope, shouldn't have passed that offer…"

The vampire pouted at the Brain of the Moon as a response, disappointed in being unable to roll for Castoria.

"Welp, guess I'll just start fi-"

"I was merely making a jest Ozimyy, I'll give you your card…"

"So you're telling me, you want to learn spell cards… Because you feel inadequate?"

Quickly Tenshi turned away from the half elf as she held back a chuckle from Zesshi's response. As much as her instinct to inflict suffering wanted to outright reject Zesshi on the prospect of allowing more despair to develop towards the half elf she doesn't want the half elf to come back to whine about it again. Despite how appealing that sounded…

"You know, it's pretty obvious what you are thinking when you look away like that right?"

The half elf deadpanned towards the hermit. The air chilled around her as she said those words. However, almost ignorant of the air cooling around the half elf, the hermit merely shrugged in response. "Well, could you fault me for trying?"

Sighing, the half elf merely looked towards the hermit. Her eyes looked directly towards the hermit with electricity practically sparking towards her. Rolling her eyes, she decided to relent.

"Fiiiinnnne, first things first. Grab a pencil."

"Oh? Alright!"

Smiling, an idea suddenly popped up on Tenshi's mind. A very delicious idea…

"Then grab a blank card."

"Ok?"

Passing the half elf a random pattern she doodled, the hermit suppressed her urges to widen her smile.

"Draw this pattern"

"Mhm"

"Flip the card to the other side then draw the spell you have envisioned~"

"Uh huh…"

"And you're done!"

"It doesn't do anything…"

A burst of laughter echoed towards the half elf's ears as the hermit began to slouch, unable to keep herself from sitting up straight from her amusement. "Of course not, did you really think I'd just teach you how to use spell cards? I have better things to do… Why don't you ask Ozimyy or KobeNiku?"

"I don't want to be destroyed by accident thank you very much, and KobeNiku is busy with a bunch of random garbage I'm not going to even look at…" Zesshi pouted.

"Can't you at least wait until I'm done with my painting?"

"How long are you going to take?"

"A few days"

"Then no…"

Attempting to cease her laughter, the hermit couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. Her smile attempted to, but failed, to shrink as she looked back towards the half elf.

"Why do you even want spell cards anyways?"

"Didn't I just tell yo-"

"No, I mean why do you want to learn spell cards specifically… There are other magic systems you know…"

"It just seemed like the easiest so-"

Like water busting through a dam, Tenshi proceeded to slam the nearest wall repeatedly as laughter echoed across the room.

"Sure, if you believe vague mysticism in card form to be easy…"

"Ha ha… I get it, it's harder than it looks… No need to rub it in…"

Feeling the cloak over her head, KitsuneObsessedFreak also known as Kitsu-Nee-San, happily hummed a tune whilst she waited for a dark armoured man accompanied with an orange cloaked woman with raven hair to arrive towards the adventurer's guild.

"Eh? Where's the nearest bar, Momon-sama?"

"A bit later Kitsu-chan, we actually need to earn the local's currency before we do anything…"

Out of all of the members of his guild, he is at least glad that he chose the most normal of them all… Despite the normal being about twice as powerful as a level 100… Per class… And Kitsu can change her class in a split second whenever she pleases…

"Lord Momo…n, what are we doing here exactly?" The raven haired woman couldn't help but ask, though pleased Momonga was accompanied by someone she couldn't exactly allow a supreme being to be accompanied by another supreme being and nobody else.

"We're here to spread the name of Ainz Ooal Gown, Nabe, in order to see if there are any other players here…"

Whilst the two converse, a thud echoed into Momonga's mind as a certain cloaked cat girl named after a Kitsune smiled in triumph as a man slumped his head. Passing a pouch of gold to her.

"Anyone else wann-"

Before she could finish her sentence, Momonga grabbed the cat girl's cloak from behind before dragging her towards the quest board.

"Ara Momonga-san, you're so rough~"

"Please Kitsu-san, we're not here to play around. Also call me Momon when we are out here…"

"Eh? But aren't you here just t-"

Before the cat girl could finish her sentence, Momonga quickly covered her mouth with the palms of his gauntlet in hopes Narberal wouldn't notice.

"Nabe, do you know what is written on the board?"

"Unfortunately not my lord…"

"Very well, I guess we'll have to ju-"

Before the armoured warrior could grab the pamphlet the cat girl, whose mouth is no longer blocked, proceeded to call out to the other two.

"You know that quest is too high for us right now right?"

"Indeed Kitsu-san, hence why we are going to take it anyways in orde-"

"You know, if you don't know how to read the text you could just ask me right? You don't need to convince me that you intended this the entire time… I might be unable to read it as well but I can make out the intention…"

Hakon felt the strands of her hair attempting to tangle around her fingertips as she rubbed the back of her head. Approaching the mostly grey uniformed man wearing a bandana standing in front of the entrance, she couldn't help but pop up behind him.

"What's up BigBoss?"

Snapping his body around, the Snake look alike immensely dropped his guard at the sight of the kimono wearing red head in front of his eye.

"Ah nothing, just thinking of starting a… Private mercenary organisation that's all…"

"Oh? Mind if I join?"

"Eh? Why do yo-"

"My main job on the server is to delete double spaces from other people's works, BigBoss… I have nothing to do here…"

"Fair enough… So I'm going to have you change your clot-"

"Absolutely not!"

After a moment of consideration, Hakon relented: "I could go in my fox form if that's better… I should be able to shrink to a more manageable size. Heh! Fox and Snake, now we only need a slug princess to complete the trio."
