After the bright light disappeared, everyone could see Tyson standing with a jar of unopened peanut-butter in his hands.

Then the futures all got up and hugged Tyson. Then Annabeth explained what happened so far and Tyson seemed eager to learn about his big brother.

Then Annabeth and Thalia explained to young Annabeth that Tyson is a sweetheart, yes he might be a cyclops but he wouldn't harm a fly unless the fly threatened his family. Also learning about the Sea of Monsters quest, and him being General of Poseidon's Cyclopian Army.

After hearing this young Annabeth was skeptical, but after a huge bear hug from Tyson and him being really excited Annabeth had a younger sister that looked like her. She laughed and said "I am Annabeth but just 12 and from the your past."

Then he looked rather sheepish and said. "Oops." Causing everyone to laugh.

Hazel then spoke. "Well your son appeared at Camp Jupiter, the Roman equivalent to your Camp apparently. He showed up and controlled the river to destroy Medusa's sisters that were following him. Because they wouldn't fully die, they kept reforming because in the future Thanatos gets imprisoned."

Upon hearing this all the gods pale, as well as some of the demigods that know who he is.

"After showing up he cleaned himself up because his clothes looked they had been through a shredder." said Hazel.

Frank continued. "Thats when I asked him about whether he remember his past or not, and he described Annabeth as a goddess. He used the word and everything."

This caused both Annabeth's to blush crimson red. To which everyone smiled at.

"I had managed to salvage the Gorgons blood from the river in two vials, I didn't know which was left and right. Because one side heals you, while the other kills you." Frank said. "Then he joined the fifth-cohort with Hazel volunteering to sponsor him. Which means if Percy betrays the legion they both get executed."

He saw Annabeth expression then quickly added. "That didn't happen though, and it won't but well explain why later." Annabeth expression softened.

"Then we had war games, you already know how that went. Mars sent us on a quest and Percy was very stubborn about kneeling to him, but did after I begged him too." Frank said. "He then mentioned something about having fought him before but I don't know if thats true or not."

"It is, Percy fought Ares and beat him at the age of 12." Annabeth said pridefully. "I imagine we will read about that in this book."

After hearing that everyone's jaw who didn't know dropped, while Ares was seething with anger.

"THERE IS NO WAY THAT PUNK BEAT ME!" bellowed Ares.

"Well he did, now be quiet so I can hear the rest of what happened to Percy." said Annabeth forcefully.

Hephaestus put duct-tape over Ares' mouth to keep him quiet.

"Wow...ok then. Um, we left for the quest the next day. Percy got really sick outside of Iris' store, they helped get better. Then he...actually I will let him tell you that part Annabeth." said Frank.

As he remembered the way Percy gambled his life with the gorgons blood. He'd rather not say that in front of an overly-protective girlfriend, who is not afraid to use her knife.

Annabeth's brow furrowed thinking about what he meant by that...hopefully nothing bad happened.

Hazel Continued. "We got to Alaska and Percy fought an entire legion of undead by himself. While Frank and I released Thanatos which we succeeded in doing. Then we killed a giant after dragging his body across the border into Canada. But he wasn't a typical giant that you need a gods help to kill he was weird."

"Then we made it back to the border of the Roman Camp, were we got to meet Tyson, and Mrs.O'Leary the world coolest dog!" Frank said enthusiastically.

"For those who don't know Mrs.O'Leary is Percy's pet hellhound." said Annabeth with a smile.

More jaws dropped to the floor. While Poseidon and his son's are filled with pride for his son's/brother's accomplishments thus far.

"He literally rode Mrs.O'Leary into battle against Gaea's army that was being led by Polybotes." Frank said. "He returned with the Twelfth Legion's eagle which was lost in Alaska in the 80's. So thats another reason we went on the quest."

Everyone's jaw dropped even further if that's possible. Poseidon paled at the thought of Percy fighting his opposite.

"Then Percy being the amazingly awesome guy he is gave me the eagle." said Dakota. Who had been quiet the whole time reading. "I mean I don't think anyone else would've trusted me with the eagle but he did. I only dropped it once in my defense." Everyone laughed at the last part, and patted him on the back.

"Then Percy was fight Polybotes and was leading him to terminus the only god near the battle." explained Hazel. "But he is a border god, and is literally just a stature on a pedestal with no arms."

Everyone raised there eyebrow's at this thinking. 'How can that help him.'

"He convinced Terminus to help fight Polybotes, after he crossed the boundary line." Frank said with awe in his voice. "He then knocked Polybotes flat on his back, climbed on to his chest looking down at his face. With the HEAD OF A STATUE in his left hand, and said and I quote. 'Meet my friend Terminus. He's a god.' you can imagine the look of terror that was on Polybotes face, I bet it was priceless." Frank chuckled as he said the last part.

While everyone was just shocked to hear that Percy managed to do all of that within one week. Well the future's expected it. But everyone else had changed there opinions of Jackson that second. Ares all of a sudden didn't feel so bad about being beaten by Jackson, at least he knows it wasn't a fluke and the punk actually earned it. Though he was still mad beyond a doubt.

Meanwhile Annabeth had the biggest smile on her face. Only for it to get bigger at the next revelation.

"After that the camp decided to make him Praetor of the Twelfth Legion." said Reyna.

To say Jason and Hercules were jealous is an understatement. The former was mad that he was there to defeat the Giant, and mad he lost his Praetor-ship. The latter was jealous this Jackson boy was getting all the attention instead of him the (self-acclaimed) greatest hero.

Leo was in awe upon hearing what Percy had been up to the last few weeks. If the guy wasn't his idol before (which he was) he definitely is now.

Piper was impressed, all the stories she'd heard about Percy so far must be the truth. If he can defeat a giant, meant to destroy on of the big three. All with the head of a statue for help, he must live up to the legend that is Percy Jackson.

After everyone cleared out of there collective shock, Annabeth quickly got Hermes to read in the hopes of seeing her boyfriend soon.

"Okay okay I will read. No need to stab me with your dagger." said Hermes as he was backing away from Annabeth.

THREE OLD LADIES KNIT THE SOCKS OF DEATH read Hermes.

I was used to the occasional weird experience, but usually they were over quickly...The students acted as if they were completely and totally convinced that Mrs. Kerr—a perky blond woman whom I'd never seen in my life...had been our pre-algebra teacher since Christmas. Every so often I would spring a Mrs. Dodds reference on somebody...Mrs. Dodds had never existed.

Almost.

"We need to get Grover some lying lessons." said Hermes.

"What makes you think I am the reason." asked young Grover defensively. While older Grover was little pink.

Hermes just raised an eyebrow.

But Grover couldn't fool me.

"You were saying?" Hermes asked looking pointedly at young Grover. Who blush bright red with his future counterpart.

When I mentioned the name Dodds to him, he would hesitate, then claim she didn't exist. But I knew he was lying...One of the current events we studied in social studies class was the unusual number of small planes that had gone down in sudden squalls in the Atlantic that year.

"Wow Dad and Uncle P are really upset." said Apollo for the second time and was ignored a second time.

I started feeling cranky and irritable most of the time. My grades slipped from Ds to Fs.

Athena looked a bit upset, then remember that he makes nothing below a B+ now. Which is better than she would have expected from Poseidon's kids.

I got into more fights with Nancy Bobofit and her friends...I snapped. I called him an old sot. I wasn't even sure what it meant, but it sounded good.

"Dionysus." Annabeth managed to say between giggles.

Then everyone laughed.

The headmaster sent my mom a letter the following week, making it official: I would not be

invited back next year to Yancy Academy. Fine, I told myself. Just fine. I was homesick.

"Don't even say it Ares." said Aphrodite who was starting to realize what a jerk she had been dating for the past few millenia.

I wanted to be with my mom in our little apartment on the Upper East Side, even if I had to

go to public school and put up with my obnoxious stepfather and his stupid poker parties.

"Before Paul." said Sally who seemed disgusted at the reminder of Gabe.

I'd miss Grover, who'd been a good friend, even if he was a little strange.

"Just good friend huh." Grover said with a sad smile on his face. While young grover frowned.

"Relax mini me, he is our best-friend don't blame the book." older Grover said to younger Grover who immediately cheered up.

I worried how he'd survive next year without me.

"Awwww so sweet." said Aphrodite. Who was thinking of what Percy looked like.

I'd miss Latin class, too—Mr. Brunner's crazy tournament days and his faith that I could do

well.

Chiron smiled.

As exam week got closer, Latin was the only test I studied for. I hadn't forgotten what Mr.

Brunner had told me about this subject being life-and-death for me. I wasn't sure why, but I'd

started to believe him.

"Good." Annabeth muttered. She was worrying about her Seaweed Brain all over again.

The evening before my final, I got so frustrated I threw the Cambridge Guide to Greek Mythology across my dorm room.

Athena looked like someone told her that her cat died. Both Annabeth's looked a little upset too.

"Don't worry I will punish him for doing that to a book." said Annabeth. Thinking of way to 'punish' him.

Unfortunately for her Thalia teased her about this. "What kind of punishment?" She asked wiggling her eyebrows her direction. Causing said girl to blush crimson red.

'To easy' Thalia thought.

Words had started swimming off the page, circling my head, the letters doing one-eighties as if they were riding skateboards.

"It's like that for all of us." Nico groaned. Meanwhile Frank looked sheepish.

There was no way I was going to remember the difference between Chiron and Charon, or Polydictes and Polydeuces.

"He knows now." said Annabeth with a smile on her face.

Before anyone could ask however. Hermes decided to continue reading out fear of Annabeth's knife.

And conjugating those Latin verbs? Forget it.

Jason was thinking he can do something the idiot Sea spawn can't.

"He can speak Latin just fine." said a confused Hazel. Making everyone else confused. Shocking Jason who can't even speak Greek.

"What do you mean he can speak Latin?" asked a confused and mildly jealous Annabeth.

"He just can, like we are hardwired to Latin why?" asked Hazel.

"He should only be hardwire to Ancient Greek, not both." said Annabeth. "Whatever, we can just ask him whenever he gets here. So lets read faster."

Hermes quickly obliged.

I paced the room, feeling like ants were crawling around inside my shirt. I remembered Mr. Brunner's serious expression, his thousand-year-old eyes. I will accept only the best from you, Percy Jackson. I took a deep breath. I picked up the mythology book.

Athena was shocked and raised an eyebrow. Looked to see her daughter Annabeth smiling. Even young Annabeth had a small smile, but was equally as shocked as Athena.

I'd never asked a teacher for help before. Maybe if I talked to Mr. Brunner, he could give me

some pointers. At least I could apologize for the big fat F I was about to score on his exam. I

didn't want to leave Yancy Academy with him thinking I hadn't tried.

"Awww he wants to impress you Chiron." cooed Aphrodite.

Annabeth smiled and muttered 'Seaweed Brain' fondly.

I walked downstairs to the faculty offices... "worried about Percy, sir."

I froze. I'm not usually an eavesdropper

"Suuurrreeee you aren't." said Nico with a small smile.

but I dare you to try not listening if you hear your best friend talking about you to an adult.

"Alright thats fair." conceded Nico.

I inched closer...to mature more."

Everyone glanced at Annabeth. Who was glaring at all of them, daring them to say something. While she was resting her hand on the hilt of her knife. Needless to say everyone kept their mouth shut for their own sake.

"But he may not have time. The summer solstice deadline— Grover's voice was choked with emotion. "You know what that would mean."

Thalia whispered into young Grovers ear, and he relaxed a bit. The she glared at her father who was glaring at the Satyrs. He stopped glaring after a while.

"You haven't failed, Grover,"...keeping Percy alive until next fall—"

This caused Annabeth, Sally and Poseidon to pale a little.

The mythology book dropped out of my hand and hit the floor with a thud.

"And I thought he was the one." Hermes said while wiping away a fake tear. "He needs the proper training, Stoll's I am assigning you-"

"No, you will not." Annabeth said sternly. With young Annabeth nodding in agreement. She doesn't want her future-boyfriend she hasn't met yet to become a trouble maker. Even if he is a son of Poseidon, it ultimately depends on what he looks like. Before she decides if she would date him though. Because so far he seems nice.

Mr. Brunner went silent. My heart hammering, I picked up the book and backed down the hall.

"Okay maybe he is the one." Hermes said. Then caught both Annabeth's glaring at him, and shook his head no.

A shadow slid across the lighted glass of Brunner's office door, the shadow of something

much taller than my wheelchair-bound teacher, holding something that looked suspiciously like

an archer's bow.

"Ah, I must've been stretching my legs." said a sheepish Chiron. Everyone rolled their eyes.

I opened the nearest door and slipped inside. "My nerves haven't been right since the winter solstice."

Everyone thought about that for a second. Whatever happened to make Zeus and Poseidon mad, happened now. No-one noticed Luke pale upon hearing that.

"Mine neither," Grover said. "But I could have sworn …" "Go back to the dorm," Mr. Brunner told him. "You've got a long day of exams tomorrow." "Don't remind me."

"Grover how to do it?" older Travis asked.

"What do you mean?" asked both Grovers.

"Go back to school and possibly be repeating the same grade year after year?" older Travis asked.

"Um, I can tell you it's not fun, but I also don't have a choice in the matter." said young Grover.

Older Grover was glad he was on the Council of Cloven Elders.

The lights went out in Mr. Brunner's office. I waited in the dark for what seemed like forever.

"The kids good." mumbled Hermes as he nervously glanced at Annabeth who thankfully didn't hear.

Finally, I slipped out into the hallway and made my way back up to the dorm. Grover was lying on his bed, studying his Latin exam notes like he'd been there all night. "Hey," he said, bleary-eyed. "You going to be ready for this test?"

"So you can act." said Apollo.

"He just can't lie, remember what I said boys give him lessons." said Hermes.

His kids nodded. The Stoll's wrote something in their notebook.

I didn't answer. "You look awful." He frowned. "Is everything okay?" "Just... tired." I turned so he couldn't read my expression, and started getting ready for bed.

"Well that didn't work." said older Grover. "But I thought he was stressed about exams."

I didn't understand what I'd heard downstairs. I wanted to believe I'd imagined the whole

thing...The next afternoon, as I was leaving the three-hour Latin exam

"THREE HOURS!" screamed everyone even Athena's children.

"How did he do it?" whined Leo. "I would've died halfway through."

"Same." said most demigods."

"Is it really that bad?" asked Athena to hear children.

"Yes Mother, it is that bad. You lose focus after the first 3 minutes during the test, then the words on the page aren't even readable." said Malcom. His siblings nodded their heads in agreement.

Athena pondered this and decided she would come up with a better solution for all students with ADHD and Dyslexia.

my eyes swimming with all the Greek and Roman names I'd misspelled...''Percy," he said. "Don't be discouraged about leaving Yancy. It's ... it's for the best."

"Chiron." groaned everyone. "He is not going to take that well at all."

"You could have at least done it in the hallway." said a disappointed Hermes. "We might need to get you down for lessons on how to give a proper farewell speech."

Chiron furrowed his eyebrows. Hoping that this went well.

His tone was kind, but the words still embarrassed me. Even though he was speaking quietly,

the other kids finishing the test could hear. Nancy Bobofit smirked at me and made sarcastic little kissing motions with her lips.

"EEEEEEEEKKKK!" screeched Aphrodite. "She has a CRUSH on him."

"I am going to kill her." mumbled a very protective Annabeth. Young Annabeth silently agreed and was slightly jealous.

"What fun I could have with his relationship." said Aphrodite a little too loud.

A dagger wizzed by her head, and she looked at Both Annabeth's giving her a death glare. Again it might be her future boyfriend. But he is still hers, though her glare wasn't as deathly.

"Never mind." muttered Aphrodite.

I mumbled, "Okay, sir." "I mean ..." Mr. Brunner wheeled his chair back and forth, like he wasn't sure what to say. "This isn't the right place for you. It was only a matter of time."

My eyes stung.

"Oh boy." said Chiron looking at his hooves. "This is not going well." Everyone nodded in agreement.

Here was my favorite teacher, in front of the class, telling me I couldn't handle it...But I was already gone.

"Alright I probably should do that in the hallway, when it comes time to do it." said a sheepish Chiron.

On the last day of the term, I shoved my clothes into my suitcase...family of nobodies.

"Nobodies huh." said a grinning Hermes. "Wonder how he will react to being Poseidon's kid."

"I just hope he makes it camp safely." said a nervous Poseidon. "When that happens, then I will make sure he gets claimed at the right time. To give him a chance to make friends, before being secluded in his own cabin."

Everyone thought about this, and decided that he has a point. But everyone who had to deal with a bunch of siblings, wish they had their own cabins.

Zeus was a little put off at being called a nobody. From what he heard about the kid earlier he seemed powerful. More powerful than his own kids perhaps, he would need to discuss actions with the council later on how to deal with him.

They asked me what I'd be doing this summer and I told them I was going back to the city.

What I didn't tell them was that I'd have to get a summer job walking dogs or selling

magazine subscriptions, and spend my free time worrying about where I'd go to school in the fall.

"Oh," one of the guys said. "That's cool."

"They seem nice." Hestia said with a smile.

They went back to their conversation as if I'd never existed.

"Never mind." said Hestia who frowned. "That was very rude."

"Boys." muttered Artemis and her hunters.

So far this boy is different they thought. But they are waiting for him to slip up, and show his true colors.

The only person I dreaded saying good-bye to was Grover, but as it turned out, I didn't have

to. He'd booked a ticket to Manhattan on the same Greyhound as I had, so there we were, together again, heading into the city.

"Thank you Grover for sticking with him." said a nervous Annabeth.

Grover smiled and nodded in return.

"Stalker." muttered Hermes, Apollo and their kids. Who all smiled at each other.

During the whole bus ride, Grover kept glancing nervously down the aisle...I said, "Looking for Kindly Ones?"

"Gave me a heart attack." muttered Grover. While those who heard just laughed.

Grover nearly jumped out of his seat. "Wha—what do you mean?" I confessed about eavesdropping on him

"NEVER CONFESS." yelled Hermes and his children. Who looked like they got punched in the gut.

Annabeth just rolled her eyes. Glad her Seaweed Brain is trying to get some answers.

and Mr. Brunner the night before the exam. Grover's eye twitched. "How much did you hear?" "Oh ... not much. What's the summer solstice dead-line?"

"Ok so he is withholding some information." said a relieved Hermes. "There is still hope." He said this part quieter, to avoid the wrath of Annabeth.

He winced…"Grover, you're a really, really bad liar."

"A for effort Grover, but we are still giving you lessons." said young Connor to young Grover.

"Does the first Monday back at camp sound good?" said young Travis, young Grover just nodded warily.

His ears turned pink...dyslexic eyes

"Change it Dionysus, or I'll add 50 more years to your punishment." said Zeus.

Dionysus paled, and nodded so fast he looked like a bobble head. "Yes." he squeaked.

"What's Half—""Don't say it aloud!" he yelped. "That's my, um ... summer address."

My heart sank. Grover had a summer home. I'd never considered that his family might be as

rich as the others at Yancy.

"I didn't think he'd take it that way." said older Grover.

"Why wouldn't he?" said Annabeth. "He is attending a school filled with rich snobs, and you pull out this fancy card on him."

Grover looked down at his shoes sheepishly.

"Okay," I said glumly. "So, like, if I want to come visit your mansion." He nodded. "Or ... or if you need me.""Why would I need you?"

Artemis and her hunters raised an eyebrow. Seems he is no better than the rest.

Annabeth muttered. "Probably didn't mean it like that."

It came out harsher than I meant it to.

Now both eyebrows were raised. Maybe not.

Annabeth smiled in victory.

Grover blushed right down to his Adam's apple. "Look, Percy, the truth is, I—I kind of have

to protect you." I stared at him.

All year long, I'd gotten in fights, keeping bullies away from him. I'd lost sleep worrying that

he'd get beaten up next year without me.

"Now I feel bad, I didn't know he was losing sleep." said Grover.

"He seems extremely loyal." Athena said quietly. Loyalty can be dangerous, but can also be valuable.

Artemis was shocked that a boy could care for a friend this much to lose sleep worrying about him.

And here he was acting like he was the one who defended me. "Grover," I said, "what exactly are you protecting me from?"...driver announced that we'd all have to get off.

"Shoddy workmanship." said Hephaestus. His kids agreed.

Grover and I filed outside with everybody else...On the other side, across four lanes of asphalt...pair of socks I'd ever seen.

'Three old ladies' everyone thought. Athena and her children gasped as they figured it out.

Annabeth had tears streaming down her face. Young Annabeth looked really concerned for both her future self, and future-boyfriend whom she has yet to meet. Thalia was wondering why Annabeth was silently crying, but was comforting her nonetheless.

Athena looked concerned for her daughter. She knows her daughter is smart, so this boy must be different from the rest of Poseidon's spawn. She would be willing to accept their relationship, but not until she has a long conversation with Percy first.

I mean these socks were the size of sweaters, but they were clearly socks...bony arms sticking out of bleached cotton dresses.

At this point everyone gasped. Poseidon and everyone that knows Percy paled.

"I don't understand." said a nervous Hazel. "Why would he go on a quest with us to Alaska after this happened."

"Not to mention the other 4 quests he has been on." Grover said silently, so that Poseidon couldn't hear because he looked like he was about to have a heart attack.

The weirdest thing was, they seemed to be looking right at me.

"No no no no no." Annabeth started muttering.

Poseidon was looking more pale than his brother. Who was wondering how the kid survived so long after seeing the fates. 'Maybe they didn't cut his string' Hades thought. His nephew was starting to grow on him.

Especially if he got the curse lifted that he placed on the Oracle. That would mean he is accepted on Olympus and his kids at camp.

I looked over at Grover to say something about this and saw that the blood had drained from

his face. His nose was twitching.

"Grover?" I said. "Hey, man—"

"Tell me they're not looking at you. They are, aren't they?"

"Yeah. Weird, huh? You think those socks would fit me?"

"Not funny." muttered Travis and Connor. Worried about their friend, and pranking partner. But if they said that out loud who know how Annabeth would react. Percy wouldn't be happy to be thrown under the bus is for sure.

"Not funny, Percy. Not funny at all."

Everyone nodded.

Jason almost felt bad, but his jealousy and anger blinded him from seeing Percy for being the great guy he is. So he had a small smile on his face.

Hercules had the biggest grin on his face. Along with Zeus and Ares, who didn't like Percy so far.

The old lady in the middle took out a huge pair of scissors—gold and silver, long-bladed, like

shears. I heard Grover catch his breath.

Everyone did the same. Except those mentioned previously.

"We're getting on the bus," he told me. "Come on."

"Yes go." said Annabeth who could barely be heard. She was on the verge of spilling more tears.

"What?" I said. "It's a thousand degrees in there."

"Come on!'" He pried open the door and climbed inside, but I stayed back.

"Oh no." Annabeth said as she started crying again.

"If kelp head dies I'm gonna kill him." muttered Thalia. Who was looking very pale herself.

Clarrise nodded in agreement.

Across the road, the old ladies were still watching me. The middle one cut the yarn, and I

swear I could hear that snip across four lanes of traffic.

This caused Annabeth to bawl her eyes out into Thalia's shoulder right above young Annabeth who had a single tear going down her cheek. She had begun to like Percy, he seemed like a good person so far.

Poseidon turned into a puddle, and his children were just as pale with tears streaming down their cheeks.

All the futures were crying as well, even Clarrise and Thalia shed some tears.

Sally was clinging onto Paul, they both looked pretty bad. Even the Chase family had tears, because they knew how much Percy meant to Annabeth. They had only saved each others lives a thousand times, and were inseparable for the months they were together.

Her two friends balled up the electric-blue socks...The passengers cheered.

"Of course it works now." complained Leo. His idol had just met the fates, and might die before he can meet him. Not to mention he seems like a great friend to have, and he just saw his string cut before his very eyes.

"We need to pay that bus company a visit. To make sure this never happens." said Hephaestus his cousin seemed pretty cool so far.

"Darn right!" yelled the driver. He slapped the bus with his hat. "Everybody back on board!"

Once we got going, I started feeling feverish, as if I'd caught the flu.

Everyone got worried for Percy again.

Grover didn't look much better. He was shivering and his teeth were chattering.

"Grover?"

"Yeah?"

"What are you not telling me?"

"Everything." said a red eyed, tear stained face Annabeth. Who looked pointedly at Grover, who had the decency to look sheepish.

He dabbed his forehead with his shirt sleeve. "Percy, what did you see back at the fruit

stand?""You mean the old ladies? What is it about them, man? They're not like ... Mrs. Dodds, are they?"

"Worse." muttered Athena.

His expression was hard to read...''Just tell me what you saw."

"The middle one took out her scissors, and she cut the yarn."

Once Annabeth got the reminder she shed some more tears onto Thalia's shirt.

He closed his eyes and made a gesture with his fingers that might've been crossing himself,

but it wasn't. It was something else, something almost—older.

"Very observant." muttered Athena. Who looked at her daughter with concern.

He said, "You saw her snip the cord."

"Yeah. So?" But even as I said it, I knew it was a big deal.

"Very big deal." muttered Theseus. Upon saying this Poseidon who was still a puddle next to him, popped a bubble in response. Getting a chuckle from the immature people, who were trying to lighten the mood.

"This is not happening," Grover mumbled. He started chewing at his thumb. "I don't want this

to be like the last time." "What last time?" "Always sixth grade. They never get past sixth."

"Grover you're gonna scare him." said Thalia who managed to recover. While still comforting Annabeth.

"Grover," I said, because he was really starting to scare me. "What are you talking about?" "Let me walk you home from the bus station. Promise me." This seemed like a strange request to me, but I promised he could.

"That'll be the only promise he doesn't keep." said Grover.

He knew that the string wasn't Percy's. Because after the second Titan war they had a conversation about the fates carrying Lukes body. Thats when Percy told him he made the connection.

But he decided it would be safer for Grover if he didn't tell them. He would let Percy put his life on the line. Although Annabeth seemed pretty distraught he would tell her in a minute for Percy's sake.

"Is this like a superstition or something?" I asked.

No answer.

"Grover—that snipping of the yarn. Does that mean somebody is going to die?"

He looked at me mournfully, like he was already picking the kind of flowers I'd like best on

my coffin.

"That's the end of the Chapter who wants to read next?" asked Hermes.

"I will." said Athena.

Grover got up to go and tell Annabeth what Percy told him. She immediately relaxed. She might have seen Luke as an older brother and missed him. But if she had to choose who lived and died. She wouldn't hesitate to let Percy live. This was one of the reasons she was happy after she got healed on Olympus right before they got their gifts from the gods.

Then when Percy said. 'No' that made her entire life worth living. It meant she would have a chance to be with Percy forever. As long as Rachael wasn't in the way, then when she became Oracle it made her day even better. She had won the game of 'tug of war' over Percy.

The next chapter will be up at the end of the week probably.

I have finals in school atm. So kinda focusing on that.
