"After Chapter 6 we will eat dinner and go to bed." said Hestia

Everyone nodded in agreement, with many of the guys stomachs growling in response.

GROVER UNEXPECTEDLY LOSES HIS PANTS read Athena.

Confession time: I ditched Grover as soon as we got to the bus terminal.

Everyone groaned. But Grover already told them this is the only promise he breaks. However they still think was rude.

I know, I know. It was rude.

'At least he is aware' they thought.

But Grover was freaking me out, looking at me like I was a dead

man, muttering "Why does this always happen?" and "Why does it always have to he sixth

grade?"

"That would freak anyone out." Thalia said while glancing at Grover.

Whenever he got upset, Grover's bladder acted up, so I wasn't surprised when, as soon as we got off the bus, he made me promise to wait for him, then made a beeline for the restroom.

"Gross." said Aphrodite while wrinkling her nose.

Instead of waiting, I got my suitcase, slipped outside, and caught the first taxi uptown.

"East One-hundred-and-fourth and First," I told the driver.

"He moved." Annabeth said to the Stoll's.

"Well, his 12 year old self is living there still." said Travis. Who had to dodge a knife thrown his way.

"Okay, we won't do anything." muttered Travis. "But our past selves-"

"Don't even think about it." said Annabeth to all versions of the Stoll's who frowned.

A word about my mother, before you meet her.

"Fantastic" said Annabeth with a smile.

"Spectacular" said Thalia with a grin.

"Incredible" said Nico who was drooling thinking about blue cookies.

"Perfect" said Paul. Poseidon nodded in agreement.

"The Mother of all demigods." said the Rest of the Future's who have met her.

Hestia smiled brightly at Sally who blushing profusely. Hera gave her a smile to, being the goddess of motherhood. The rest of the gods smiled too for provided there kids home. Its in the job description of being a Mother after all.

Her name is Sally Jackson and she's the best person in the world, which just proves my theory

that the best people have the rottenest luck.

"That applies to Percy too." said Grover. "He has the worst luck I have ever seen."

This got Annabeth to smile a little bit. But also more worried about Percy.

Her own parents died in a plane crash when she was five

Everyone looked at Zeus. Who just shrugged.

"Not every plane crash is caused by me." said Zeus.

Not many people believed him, but decided it wasn't worth getting on his bad side.

and she was raised by an uncle who didn't care much about her. She wanted to be a novelist, so she spent high school working to save enough money for a college with a good creative- writing program.

"I am now though, beginning to write my third book now." said Sally who smiled, thinking about the books which happened to be about a certain raven black haired teen with sea green eyes.

"I have read the first two, they are fantastic." said Annabeth, though she had a sad smile thinking about Percy and her being in the book.

"Do you have any copies on hand, or do I have to wait until the future when they are published?" asked Athena.

"I do have the first book, in my purse. I can lend it you tonight if you would like Lady Athena." answered Sally. "As for the second its in our Apartment."

"I would very much appreciate that, thank you." said Athena who smiled.

Annabeth smiled that Athena seems to like Sally. Maybe she will approve of her relationship with Percy. Whatever the case I need to be prepared to defend my relationship with him.

Then her uncle got cancer, and she had to quit school her senior year to take care of him. After he died, she was left with no money, no family, and no diploma.

The only good break she ever got was meeting my dad.

"Awwwww so sweet." cooed Aphrodite.

"Well marrying you was my second big break." Sally whispered to Paul who turned pink and smiled.

I don't have any memories of him, just this sort of warm glow, maybe the barest trace of his

smile.

"You visited him." said Zeus who was looking at Poseidon like he broke his favorite lego.

"Of course I did. I care about and visit all my children." said a serious Poseidon. Who children smiled at him.

"You broke the Ancient Laws." said Zeus.

"So we should change them, you said it yourself they are Ancient." countered Poseidon.

Zeus was about to speak again but was cut off.

"Stop, you can have this conversation later, we are going to read." said Hestia.

Everyone was watching this take place. While some demigods felt jealous, but then thought Percy deserved it more than anyone present.

My mom doesn't like to talk about him because it makes her sad. She has no pictures. See, they weren't married...and he never came back. Lost at sea, my mom told me. Not dead. Lost at sea.

"Ah, I love it." said Hermes. "It's a like, but not a lie at the same time."

"Ingenious." said Apollo with a thumbs up.

'Lost at sea' Athena thought. "Did you tell her Poseidon?"

"Why wouldn't I tell her who I am." said Poseidon.

"Fair point." said Athena who kept reading. Ignoring everyone's reaction to them being civil.

She worked odd jobs, took night classes to get her high school diploma, and raised me on her

own. She never complained or got mad. Not even once. But I knew I wasn't an easy kid.

"But he is worth it." said Sally with Paul nodding in agreement.

Annabeth smiled. She missed her Seaweed Brain.

Finally, she married Gabe Ugliano, who was nice the first thirty seconds we knew him, then

showed his true colors as a world-class jerk.

Everyone narrowed their eyes.

When I was young, I nicknamed him Smelly Gabe.

Everyone snorted at the name.

I'm sorry, but it's the truth. The guy reeked like moldy garlic pizza wrapped in gym shorts.

Aphrodite and her children became several different shades of green. While everyone else wasn't doing any better.

Between the two of us, we made my mom's life pretty hard. The way Smelly Gabe treated

her, the way he and I got along ... well, when I came home is a good example.

Everyone narrowed their eyes again

I walked into our little apartment, hoping my mom would be home from work. Instead, Smelly

Gabe was in the living room, playing poker with his buddies. The television blared ESPN. Chips

and beer cans were strewn all over the carpet.

This caused Aphrodite and some of her children to throw up. Thankfully some of the gods saw this coming and put a bag in front of everyone just in case. Once done with the bag it disappeared, for a new one to reappear just in case.

Hardly looking up, he said around his cigar, "So, you're home."

"Where's my mom?"

"Working," he said. "You got any cash?"

"THAT PIG." screamed Thalia.

"No welcome back. Good to see you. ANYTHING?" said a very angry Annabeth.

That was it. No Welcome back. Good to see you. How has your life been the last six months?

Everyone laughed a little to lighten the mood.

"Spending to much time with Kelp head Annie?" teased Thalia

Annabeth blushed bright red. While young Annabeth was a little pink at the implication.

"Don't call me Annie." both Annabeth's said in unison.

Gabe had put on weight. He looked like a tuskless walrus in thrift-store clothes. He had about

three hairs on his head, all combed over his bald scalp, as if that made him handsome or

something.

"EWWWWWW." screeched Aphrodite. "There is no saving THAT!"

Everyone nodded in agreement. While some of those that had gotten away without puking earlier emptied their stomach into the bags they'd been given.

He managed the Electronics Mega-Mart in Queens, but he stayed home most of the time. I don't know why he hadn't been fired long before. He just kept on collecting paychecks, spending the money on cigars that made me nauseous, and on beer, of course. Always beer. Whenever I was home, he expected me to provide his gambling funds.

"HE HAD A JOB." screamed Sally. "WHY DIDN'T HE TELL ME THIS?" She said the last part a little hurt, and was starting to regret marrying Gabe.

He called that our "guy secret." Meaning, if I told my mom, he would punch my lights out.

The Throne room was silent for a minute trying to understand what they had just heard.

Poseidon flashed out of the throne room. Then everyone else started whispering to themselves.

Annabeth was fuming that someone had potentially abused Percy. While at the same time her eyes stung, and young Annabeth was also fuming.

Sally was crying. Wishing that what they had just read wasn't true. That Gabe never hit Percy.

Everyone was silently asking the same question. 'Was Percy Jackson abused?' and if so 'For how long?'

Then a bright light appeared in the middle of the room. When the light died down, it was a note. Nico was also fuming but got up and read it.

Dear everyone present

This note will answer the question you all have been asking silently. 'Was Percy Jackson abused?'

The answer is Yes. Some good news however is he was never sexually abused, nor was he purposefully stabbed or cut by Gabe, only punched and thrown. Still not good per say, but definitely the one of the better outcomes for abuse. We will not tell you how often that is not for us to say, we just wanted to clear the air.

The Fates

P.S. Poseidon decided to get Gabe and bring him back to Olympus for you to take you anger out on. However he cannot be killed until the end of the book. So when the book ends decide the most painful way you wish for him to die, and ask Hades for permission to help planning his punishment. Enjoy.

Everyone started grinning evilly at this revelation. Though all were still shocked Percy was abused, from the outside one would think he had the Perfect childhood. At least for a demigod.

Jason didn't feel as Jealous anymore, no-one should be abused as a child. He felt bad for feeling Jealous, but it depended on how often he was abused before he would voice his opinion again.

Hercules thought the hero Jackson was weak. He should've beat up his abuser. 'That's what I would've done' Hercules thought.

Just then Poseidon flashed back into the throne room with Smelly Gabe over his shoulder already bloody, and bruised. He threw him on the ground in the middle of the throne room.

He really did stink, because even 20 feet away from him they could smell his fowl odor. So Aphrodite got out a huge bottom of perfume and used it all on him. It helped a lot, but the stench was still there. Though not as bad as before thankfully.

Annabeth and Sally got up first, followed by Paul and Frederick.

Frederick is a smart man, and is smart enough to realize that Percy will without a doubt be his son-in-law one day. So he want to get a few punches in before he was unrecognizable.

Paul went in to support his wife, as well as dish out some punishment. Even though he knows Percy is fully capable of protecting himself now. This will make up for the time he wasn't there.

Sally was furious that Gabe was abusing Percy, she thought it had just been her. She didn't get hit often but knew well enough that when he raised his hand, bad business followed. So to learn her baby had been abused by the thing meant to protect him. Mad her beyond furious.

Annabeth was pissed, her Seaweed Brain was being abused for years. She can understand him not wanted to tell her because he might relive painful memories, but she was going to pester him about it that night after he shows up. But Annabeth was also very thankful that HER boyfriend hadn't been sexually abused. Upon hearing that in the note relieved her beyond a doubt. But that didn't make her any less mad, and she was planning to make this thing wish he was dead.

Poseidon flashed the six of them out of the throne room, they came back 8 minutes later. Everyone was talking with their godly parent, patiently waiting there turn. After everyone was done, Gabe was unrecognizable and unconscious. Even Athena stabbed him with her spear.

The only ones who didn't participate were Zeus, Ares, and Hercules. Jason went with Piper, Thalia and Leo and struck him with some lightning for abusing a child.

Athena started reading again.

"I don't have any cash," I told him. He raised a greasy eyebrow. Gabe could sniff out money like a bloodhound, which was surprising, since his own smell should've covered up everything else.

Athena raised eyebrow at this.

"You took a taxi from the bus station," he said. Probably paid with a twenty...twinge of sympathy. "Come on, Gabe," he said. "The kid just got here."

"At least someone there is human." muttered Annabeth.

"Am I right?" Gabe repeated.

Eddie scowled into his bowl of pretzels. The other two guys passed gas in harmony.

"I take back what I said." said Annabeth while scrunching her nose in disgust. Most people doing the same.

"Fine," I said. I dug a wad of dollars out of my pocket and threw the money on the table. "I

hope you lose."

"It seems he already lost." muttered Dionysus. Everyone was shocked they thought he was asleep.

"What do you mean he lost, they didn't even say it in the book." said young Connor

"That's not what I mean." explained Dionysus. "I meant he isn't going to make it out of this reading alive. In that sense he's lost. But he also loses that game too."

"Look can we just read." said Annabeth who interrupted young Connor from asking another question.

"Your report card came, brain boy!" he shouted after me. "I wouldn't act so snooty!"

"He is KELP HEAD." said Thalia with venom in her voice, while glaring daggers at Gabe.

I slammed the door to my room, which really wasn't my room. During school months, it was Gabe's "study."...nasty cologne and cigars and stale beer.

"So gross." said a green Aphrodite.

"Just breath dear." said Hephaestus as he handed her another bag Aphrodite smiled at him.

I dropped my suitcase on the bed. Home sweet home.

"Ah the King of sarcasm returns." said Thalia.

"Really? More than Leo?" asked Piper genuinely curious.

"Yup." said Thalia popping the p.

Leo needed to get some tips from this guy to be more sarcastic if thats the case. Although it makes sense, use sarcasm as a way to hide years of pain. No wonder he is so sarcastic Leo thought, thinking of all the orphanages he'd been to.

Gabe's smell was almost worse than the nightmares about Mrs. Dodds, or the sound of that old fruit lady's shears snipping the yarn.

"Yeah, having smelled him now. That I believe." said Thalia while Sally nodded her head in agreement.

But as soon as I thought that, my legs felt weak...maybe pounding its way up the stairs, growing long, horrible talons.

Everyone held there breath.

Then I heard my mom's voice. "Percy?" She opened the bedroom door, and my fears melted.

Then let it go.

"Wimp." muttered Ares. Who got attacked by more shoes from Aphrodite.

My mother can make me feel good just by walking into the room...She'd

brought me a huge bag of "free samples," the way she always did when I came home.

Everyone smiled. But all were thinking 'Lucky'. Then they remembered Gabe and figured he deserved the worlds best mom more than anyone.

We sat together on the edge of the bed...I was really, really glad to see her.

"Thats so sweet. His relationship with his mother is beautiful." said Aphrodite who's eyes started watering.

Everyone smiled at the bond those two shared. Hestia loved to see the relationship and with Paul there it seemed to be a real family.

From the other room, Gabe yelled, "Hey, Sally—how about some bean dip, huh?" I gritted my teeth.

Everyone did the same. While Clarrise, Thalia, and Chris got up to deal with Gabe again. Poseidon flashed them out.

My mom is the nicest lady in the world. She should've been married to a millionaire, not to

some jerk like Gabe.

"Or Paul." said a smiling Poseidon. Sally, Paul and Annabeth smiled in return.

For her sake, I tried to sound upbeat about my last days at Yancy Academy...Even Nancy

Bobofit suddenly didn't seem so bad.

The group that disappeared with Gabe earlier came back, and Gabe looked like a burnt chicken nugget. They were quickly caught up.

Until that trip to the museum … "What?" my mom asked. Her eyes tugged at my conscience, trying to pull out the secrets. "Did something scare you?" "No, Mom."

"Bad move, don't lie to your mother." said Hermes. His children nodding in agreement.

Everyone stared at them like they grew a second head.

"What? That is the only rule we have when it comes to lying, everything else is allowed." said Hermes defensively. His children nodding in agreement again.

I felt bad lying..."We're going to the beach."

"Montauk." mumbled Annabeth thinking of Percy.

My eyes widened. "Montauk?"

Everyone that heard her laughed.

"Been there Annabeth?" whispered Thalia.

Annabeth turned bright red in response, getting a chuckle from Thalia.

"Three nights—same cabin." "When?" She smiled. "As soon as I get changed." I couldn't believe it. My mom and I hadn't been to Montauk the last two summers, because Gabe said there wasn't enough money.

Everyone scowled at the reminded of the human pig in the middle of the room. Who just started to wake up again. But he kept quiet so far.

Gabe appeared in the doorway and growled, "Bean dip, Sally? Didn't you hear me?"

Everyone growled.

I wanted to punch him

"Don't worry we did." said Everyone.

but I met my mom's eyes and I understood she was offering me a deal...''You mean you were serious about that?" "I knew it," I muttered. "He won't let us go."

"He better." said Poseidon who was starting to get angry again.

"Of course he will," my mom said evenly...The works."

"Bribery gotta love it." said Hermes who gave Sally a thumbs up.

Gabe softened a bit. "So this money for your trip ... it comes out of your clothes budget, right?"

Upon hearing this everyone with a brain covered their ears.

"CLOTHES BUDGET! AHHHHH!" screamed Aphrodite who then turned to Sally. "We are going shopping for clothes after this. No if-ands-or-buts."

Sally nodded and watched Aphrodite flash out of the room with Gabe. When they came back Gabe was unconscious again, and Aphrodite's hair was slightly messy but no-one dared to tell her that.

Except for Hephaestus. "Um, dear your hair needs to be combed."

Aphrodite looked at him gratefully then proceeded to comb her hair back to normal.

"Yes, honey," my mother said..." Maybe if I kick you in your soft spot, I thought. And make you sing soprano for a week.

'Done' everyone thought.

"Please there is no ACTION." said Ares.

Frank was finding it hard to believe that this was his father, albeit his greek form.

But my mom's eyes warned me not to make him mad. Why did she put up with this guy? I wanted to scream. Why did she care what he thought? "I'm sorry," I muttered. "I'm really sorry I interrupted your incredibly important poker game. Please go back to it right now."

Everyone snorted at Percy's sarcasm.

Gabe's eyes narrowed. His tiny brain was probably trying to detect sarcasm in my statement. "Yeah, whatever," he decided. He went back to his game.

"I doubt he has a brain in that thick skull of his." muttered Annabeth.

"Thank you, Percy," my mom said...seven-layer dip. An hour later we were ready to leave.

"Good get out of there." Poseidon and his children muttered.

Gabe took a break from his poker game long enough to watch me...and more important, his '78

Camaro—for the whole weekend.

Everyone scowled.

While Nico's stomach growled at the reminder of Sallys cooking. "What? She's a great cook."

Everyone laughed, but agreed.

"Not a scratch on this car, brain boy," he warned me as I loaded the last bag. "Not one little

scratch."

"Like he'd be driving, he's twelve." said young Annabeth with the older one nodding in agreement.

Like I'd be the one driving. I was twelve.

Everyone laughed at that. While both Annabeth's blushed.

"It's like they're made for each other." said Thalia while smiling. Both Annabeth's blushed a deeper red, and the older Annabeth hid her head in her hands. While the younger Annabeth ducked into Thalia's side.

Everyone laughed harder when that happened. Athena even had a small smile on her face. After everyone settled down, Athena began reading again.

But that didn't matter to Gabe...warding-off-evil gesture...whacked him in the butt and sent him flying up the staircase as if he'd been shot from a cannon.

Everyone's jaws dropped slightly. "That...is...impossible?" muttered a shocked Apollo.

"For all demigods...except Percy...apparently?" said a confused but shocked Athena.

"Poseidon...how much power did you grant him over your realm?" asked Zeus. (no clue if thats how this works tbh. Just role with it, its much cooler.)

"I got to see his fate, not specific details like who he will fight and whatnot. But I know he has many challenges ahead of him, so I gave him a lot. So he stands his best chance at surviving, he is my son and I want him to live until he passes away peacefully after a long happy life. Or long enough to be offered godhood/immortality." said a defensive Poseidon.

"A lot. Is not very specific, I demand to know. If you made him powerful enough to overthrow m-Olympus, then I will have no choice but to call the council to vote whether or not the boy lives or dies." said Zeus. "As for offering him godhood/immortality. It will never happen, that hasn't been offered in thousands of years. We are not about to give it to him."

All the futures that know he was offered godhood just laughed. This made the gods confused.

"What is so funny?" asked Zeus.

"Father...in the future...you did offer Percy godhood." said a smug Thalia. She didn't like the way her father was acting toward her brother.

Everyone's jaw dropped, and were silent trying to process the information given to them.

Hercules was angry, the hero they had been reading about had been offered immortality. I guess that means I can fight him when he shows up. Seeing as I am a god.

Jason was extremely Jealous. I hadn't been offered immortality. But Jackson did. Apart of him wanted to be proud for his cousin, but the other part of him was mad he was getting all the glory.

Poseidon had the most blinding smile on his face. "So my son is a god?" Then he thought about the story they'd heard earlier. "Wait...then how come he could fight Polybotes and not need another demigod. Did he say no?" Poseidon said this last part hesitantly. Percy was already his favorite child before the reading, but his pride for his son has been exponentially increasing. But he dreaded the answer because that meant he would be able to spend eternity with him.

"No Lord Poseidon, he...said no." Thalia said a bit reluctantly, it's no secret to the future's that Percy is Poseidon's favorite son.

Percy would always tell stories of...brotherly arguments between him and Triton. They do love each other as brothers, and Triton has the utmost respect for Percy. But he is still Jealous he is not Poseidon's favorite, so their arguments get out of hand sometimes. But secretly Triton is proud that his brother is Poseidon's favorite, but he'll never admit that to anyone. Only when Percy is at his deathbed.

Poseidon was sad at first. But then he got the biggest smile on his face and said with a lot of pride. "My son denied your gift." he looked pointedly at Zeus who was red with rage.

Zeus started."No...its a council decision. Therefore a-"

"Yeah, council decision. But you only ever say yes you your kids getting offered immortality. None of ours get the chance because you shoot it down." said Poseidon who was still smiling.

"It is true dad." said Apollo.

"Couldn't have said it better myself." said Ares.

All the other gods nodding in agreement.

"Why did my son say no?" asked Poseidon.

All the futures smiled and looked at Annabeth. Who blushed a very deep red that even went all the way down her throat. Aphrodite saw this and tried to squeal as quietly as possible wanting to hear confirmation.

Then Thalia spoke up. "Because he wanted to be with Annabeth."

At this Aphrodite squealed so loud that everyone within the throne room was deaf, and those outside could hear her from all edges of the floating mountain. They already knew what was going on though, the fates allowed all the people (literally everyone) Olympus to watch with a one way iris messages set up around the mountain.

After 3 minutes of Aphrodite squealing along with all her children (even Piper). Along with everyone waiting for there hearing to return. They were about to continue reading.

"But...it is only fair seeing as Annabeth turned down joining the Hunter's of Artemis to be with Percy. Even if they weren't dating or about to date." said Thalia.

"Yeah, it only took him another year and a half to figure out I liked him." said Annabeth. "I mean I thought he would get the message that I liked him then, but I guess he didn't feel the same way."

"Oh, you should've seen him. He was worried out of his mind, and didn't eat for 2 days, until he snuck onto the quest to go save you." said Thalia smiling. Causing Annabeth to blush.

"Would've saved a lot of drama if he asked me then." muttered Annabeth.

"Oooh, do tell Annabeth." said Aphrodite as she leaned forward.

"Um...I was the drama." said a sheepish Rachael. "It was before I became Oracle, me and Percy would hang out a lot. Annabeth probably thought its because Percy liked me, which I don't know if he ever did. But if he did, it wasn't to the extent that he liked Annabeth at the time."

Young Annabeth was lightly glaring at Rachael.

"But he only hung out with me to get away from being a demigod." said Rachael. "I only know because I asked him after I became Oracle, and he said it was just nice to believe he was mortal before facing down a Prophecy that he believed would end his life."

Sally and Poseidon paled a little.

"You mean he assumed he was going to die and he still fought that war." Sally said. "He didn't tell me that."

"When he said that in the Rec Room a couple days before the fighting starts, Annabeth was pale and shaking." said Clarrise. "So he probably didn't want you to have the same reaction."

"I actually think its because he knew that I wouldn't have let him follow through on his plan before the fight, let alone actually let him fight." said Sally.

"Um, actually it was my plan." said Nico.

"Oh. So when I punched Percy after the war for having such a stupid plan that could've killed him. I really should've punched you." said Annabeth as she was glaring at Nico.

"Um...never mind it was his plan." said Nico quickly.

While all this was happening Artemis and her Hunter's were thinking. This boy is really different, yes it is sad to lose such a strong maiden. But at least the boy didn't break her heart when he was offered godhood (after she had turned down the hunters for him), what boy would say no to that. Maybe losing a maiden this time isn't such a bad thing.

Athena was about to start reading again, but Zeus asked Poseidon his question again.

"Poseidon. How much power did you grant your son?" asked a paranoid Zeus

"Everything I could offer to a demigod son of mine." said Poseidon.

"We are having a council meeting about this before dinner." Zeus said firmly.

Theseus and Orion were shocked to hear how much power there brother got. But they aren't jealous they'd already lived their lives, and were proud of the man their brother had become. They were excited to read more about him, and hoped his luck wasn't to bad. But they couldn't wait to meet him.

Athena began reading.

Maybe it was just the wind, or some freak accident with the hinges, but I didn't stay long enough to find out. I got in the Camaro and told my mom to step on it.

"I have always want to say that!" cried all the Stoll's. They smiled at each other.

Our rental cabin was on the south shore, way out at the tip of Long Island. It was a little pastel

box with faded curtains, half sunken into the dunes. There was always sand in the sheets and

spiders in the cabinets,

Athena and all her children shivered upon hearing that.

"You went there with spiders in the cabinets?" asked Thalia looking at Annabeth who's ears turned pink after hearing that.

"He clears them out of the cabin before I go in, then if I see one in there that he missed he kills it and disposes of it." said Annabeth.

"How many times has he missed a spider?" asked Thalia.

"He hasn't missed one yet, thats what he told me he would do if he missed one." replied Annabeth.

and most of the time the sea was too cold to swim in.

"But he still loves it." said Annabeth with a big smile.

I loved the place.

"Do you love it Annabeth?" asked Thalia wiggling her eyebrows at her.

Annabeth blushed deep red and nodded. Young Annabeth looked a little pink at the thought, but both had a small smile.

"How many times have you been there?" Thalia asked a little more seriously.

"To answer your first question I do love it. To answer the second I have only gone three times, and one was before we were dating." replied Annabeth.

"What did you guys do there when you weren't dating?" asked Thalia with an eyebrow raised.

Sally and Fredrick tried suppressing a smile forming on there face.

Annabeth blushed again. "We walked along the beach, played board games with Sally and Paul, and watched Finding Nemo."

"How long ago was that, and how did you remember what movie you watched?" asked Thalia.

"Um...it was winter break when we were 15. I asked my dad to fly me back to New York for a week to be with Percy." said Annabeth.

"That's not what you told me Annabeth." said Frederick with an eyebrow raised. Matthew and Bobby were giggling at Annabeth's red face until a glare shut them up. "You said you were going to Camp to train."

"Busted." Chorused most people. Causing Annabeth's face to go such a deep red it almost passed as purple.

"I am sorry for not telling you the whole truth Dad. I did go to camp to train with Percy, but during the middle of the week Percy invited me to Montauk for 3 days and I said yes." said a still red Annabeth.

"Alright but that doesn't answer the question Annabeth, how did you remember the movie." said Thalia. "I know you have a great memory, but something tells me thats not the whole story."

"Um... we sat on the couch sharing a blanket and I was leaning up against him." said Annabeth who's face was getting more red again. "We fell asleep like that on the couch."

"Well you guys did shift in your sleep, because when I walked down in the morning I saw your head on his chest and his arms wrapped around you." said Sally with a blinding smile. "The only reason I wasn't mad is because you had all your clothes on."

Annabeth's jaw dropped. "You raised your voice at us, and you weren't mad?"

"No, I thought it was funny, I have a picture of it and everything." said Sally. "I wanted you to think I was mad."

At this point everyone was laughing at Annabeth's red face, and Sally got out the photo and waved it around. Causing more people to laugh, but to Annabeth's relief she didn't pass it around.

"Dad...are you mad?" Annabeth asked cautiously still very red faced.

"No. Sally had already called and asked me if it was ok for you to go. Then told me what happened on the trip and sent me the picture too." Frederick finished with a grin. "So I've known this whole time."

Annabeth's jaw dropped again and went completely blushed a deep red again thinking about all the other times she'd been to Montauk. 'Does he know about those to?' she asked herself.

"Before you ask...Sally told me everything she knew about the other trips to Montauk too." said Fredrick smiling like a maniac along with Helen, Paul, and Sally.

Annabeth couldn't make eye contact with anyone and buried her head in her hands, and groaned about how embarrassing this is.

"At least you're reliving happy memories right?" whispered Thalia who was grinning like a madman.

Annabeth nodded, head still in her hands.

"Alright she's had enough embarrassment for the time being." said Thalia. "Can we continue please?"

Athena nodded with a small smile on her face. Though she hoped she wouldn't be a grandmother before her daughter got married to Percy. It seems as he makes her very happy so she is willing to approve of their relationship, but she still needed to have a long talk with him about treating her daughter right.

We'd been going there since I was a baby. My mom had been going even longer. She never exactly said, but I knew why the beach was special to her. It was the place where she'd met my

dad.

Aphrodite squealed.

As we got closer to Montauk, she seemed to grow younger, years of worry and work disappearing from her face. Her eyes turned the color of the sea.

Poseidon and Paul smiled.

We got there at sunset...free samples my mom had brought from work.

"Why blue?" asked Apollo.

I guess I should explain the blue food.

Hermes snickered. While Apollo nodded like she was talking to him.

See, Gabe had once told my mom there was no such thing...calling herself Mrs. Ugliano—was proof that she wasn't totally suckered by Gabe. She did have a rebellious streak, like me.

"Its just a little bigger than a streak." said Thalia with a smile. While another group of demigods and gods flashed out with Gabe after the reminder.

When it got dark, we made a fire...Mom's eyes went all misty. I figured she would tell me the same things she always did, but I never got tired of hearing them.

"None of do." said the demigods with smiles on there faces.

"He was kind, Percy," she said. "Tall, handsome, and powerful. But gentle, too. You have his black hair, you know, and his green eyes."

Everyone was looking at Poseidon trying to figure out what Percy looked like.

"I have a photo of him, for those who want to know exactly what he looks like." said Annabeth who pulled out a wrinkled photo from her pocket.

The photo got passed around, some of the girls started lightly blushing when they saw the photo. When it got to Aphrodite she was very blunt.

"He. is. gorgeous." she said very lustfully. Annabeth glared at her. "I'll keep my distance." Aphrodite said a little reluctantly.

When the photo got back to Annabeth she showed it to her younger self. Upon seeing her future-boyfriend she blushed deep red. "Is this actually what he looks like?" she asked.

Annabeth smiled and nodded. "Yep." popping the 'p'. "He was very skinny when he was 12, but was still very cute."

She then whispered into young Annabeth's ear and said. "I had a crush on him the moment I laid eyes on him, so when you meet his younger counterpart you will too."

Young Annabeth blushed but nodded seeing the logic in that, and smiled. Because her future-boyfriend was hot, she couldn't wait to meet him now.

Mom fished a blue jelly bean out of her candy bag. "I wish he could see you, Percy. He would be so proud."

"I am." said Poseidon wishing he could bring his 12 year old son here. But the fates said he would show up soon, so he had something to look forward too.

I wondered...something about my father. A warm glow. A smile.

Poseidon smiled upon hearing this.

I had always assumed he knew me as a baby. My mom had never said it outright, but still, I'd felt it must be true. Now, to be told that he'd never even seen me …

"I did visit, he was being watched by a very lazy babysitter." Poseidon said with a smile. "I appeared in his room when she wasn't in there. Played with him for a while, kissed his forehead and told him I loved him and reluctantly left."

Everyone felt a little jealous, but Percy deserved it. He had also earned it over the past few years.

I felt angry at my father. Maybe it was stupid, but I resented him for going on that ocean voyage, for not having the guts to marry my mom. He'd left us, and now we were stuck with Smelly Gabe.

"I wouldn't have left you guys with him. Had I known, no matter what the Ancient Laws say." said Poseidon.

Zeus glared at his older brother to no effect.

"Are you going to send me away again?"...I regretted the words as soon as they were out.

"Good at least he regrets it." said Hestia.

My mom's eyes welled with tears. She took my hand, squeezed it tight.

"Tears...the greatest weapon against man." said Hermes while the men nodded there heads in agreement. The girls merely rolled their eyes.

"Oh, Percy, no. I—I have to, honey. For your own good. I have to send you away." Her words reminded me of what Mr. Brunner had said—that it was best for me to leave Yancy. "Because I'm not normal," I said.

"If he was normal we'd all be dead." muttered Nico with the futures nodding in agreement.

"You say that as if it's a bad thing, Percy. But you don't realize how important you are.

"Very important. Especially to me." muttered Annabeth.

I thought Yancy Academy would be far enough away. I thought you'd finally be safe."...one eye, right in the middle of his head.

Poseidon shrugged. "I keep an eye on my kids to the best of my ability." He then thought about Gabe, and flashed out with the walrus. He came back a little later, Gabe was soaked with salt water.

Before that—a really early memory...managed to strangle to death with my meaty toddler hands.

'Huh' everyone thought.

"Copycat." muttered Hercules, he got an arrow to the knee from Zoe.

In every single school, something creepy had happened...I had a strange feeling the news would end our trip to Montauk, and I didn't want that.

"They always do that, then it ends up with someone dead." muttered Dionysus.

"I've tried to keep you as close to me as I could,"..."My father wanted me to go to a special school?" "Not a school," she said softly. "A summer camp."

"Best place on earth." said the campers, the Romans coughed.

"Okay one of the best places." some campers amended.

My head was spinning...I asked her any more questions she would start to cry...That night I had a vivid dream.

"Oh boy, his dreams are the worst." said Thalia. "I have had some bad ones but when he described one dream to me, I wasn't so freaked out from mine anymore."

The future demigods nodded in agreement. Poseidon groaned.

It was storming on the beach, and two beautiful animals...goading the animals to fight harder.

Everyone who didn't know glanced at Hades. Who shook his head no.

"But you would want a war between us, it would increase the size of your realm and power." said Zeus.

Hades and Nico shook their heads. "Of course you would think that. Do you have any idea how much paper work I have to do in the underworld?" asked Hades looking pointedly at Zeus.

"I am always so busy hardly any free time, and with you guys causing all sorts of natural disasters." said Hades. "I am swamped, the lines to get in are jam packed, the waiting room is overcrowded. Sure once they get past judgement my realm increases in power, but it takes so much paperwork to just get to that point it isn't worth it."

"Is it actually that bad brother?" asked a sheepish looking Poseidon, Hades nodded. "I apologize brother, a lot of that is my fault. From now on I will tone it down."

"Thank you Poseidon, but Zeus here is also to blame, not to mention Ares starting all those wars." said Hades.

Ares and Zeus grunted and motioned to keep reading. Hades glared at his little brother. Poseidon thought that being 'King of the gods' had really gone to his head.

I ran toward them...screamed, No!

Zeus had a smug smile, while Poseidon rolled his eyes.

I woke with a start..."Hurricane."

'Smart woman.' Athena thought.

I knew that was crazy...Grover stood framed in the doorway against a backdrop of pouring rain. But he wasn't... he wasn't exactly Grover.

"Well than what is he?" asked Apollo.

"He had never seen me without my disguise on." said older Grover, to which Apollo nodded.

"Searching all night,"...I couldn't understand what I was seeing.

Everyone chuckled.

"It's only goat boy." said a smiling Thalia, old Grover just exhaled and young Grover softly glared.

"O Zeu kai alloi theoi!"...where his legs should be...

"Man...he probably thinks he is stoned." said Hermes grinning.

My mom looked..."Get to the car. Both of you. Go!"

"Yes, go." muttered Poseidon.

Grover ran for the Camaro...There were cloven hooves.

"There we go, he got it." said Hermes who dodged a knife thrown by Annabeth. How she kept getting the knife back without picking it up, he had no clue.

"Who wants to read next chapter?" asked Athena.

"I will." said Orion who just beat Theseus to the punch.

"Alright, I will read chapter after next." said Theseus who was playfully glaring at his brother, who just smiled in return.

Wanted to make Athena less stoic in this story. But still the book worm that she is, because she isn't stupid. She nows love makes people stronger, but she is a goddess and doesn't need it for herself. Kind of my thinking there.

Had more free time than I expected.

This was also my favorite chapter so far, because its also the longest.
