Everyone got seated at the table and started eating whatever they imagined on the plate in front of them. Jason, Piper, and Leo all sat together. The two where not happy with Jason's attitude toward Percy even if it was a book. They both planned to confront him about it tomorrow once he cooled off.
Tyson next to Chris and Connor, while sitting across from his little/big brother. He got a huge peanut butter sandwich and made it blue in honor of his missing older brother.
Next to Connor was Travis, and the other side of him was Katie. Next to Chris was Clarrise the other side of her was Grover.
Percy was in between both Annabeth's. The Thalia sat next to the younger one, the other side of her was Rachael, and next to her was Reyna. Next to the older Annabeth was Hazel who was being grilled by Annabeth for any more information regarding what Percy has been up too.
Next to Hazel was Frank who was having a conversation with Grover directly across from him, about Percy, and the Roman Camp. Nico sat at the end of the table Frank to his left and Grover his right, he sat there to keep an eye on Frank as an overprotective big brother.
All the campers of the past sat with there cabins, the only one that didn't was young Annabeth. But no-one dared stop her for fear of her knife.
They all talked about everything they had read in the book so far. The gods were split up among their children. Poseidon was sitting with Theseus and Orion. They were discussing their little brother that they wanted to get to know, so that they could all be close in Elysium. Seeing as two of them were dead, just being allowed to live again for the reading.
Zeus was thinking of ways to get rid of Percy Jackson. It seemed that the boy was stronger than his own children, 'he could maybe even challenge me directly' he thought.
Hestia was watching everyone eat with a smile on her face. 'This is a family' she thought.
Artemis and her Hunters were all talking about how this boy was different so far. Some of them were convinced that he was good, while others were skeptical either because of disbelief that a male can be good, or just on principle. Artemis believed he was different, she had heard that her future self approved of the boy from Thalia her future lieutenant. Artemis believed her future self's judgement, and trusted Thalia.
Luke was sitting with his brothers, trying to keep up his facade of being happy and easy going. He thought about talking with Thalia but decided he would wait until tomorrow.
Thalia was thinking about talking to Luke, she knew he'd only listen to her. But decided morning would be best, she could spend the night thinking about what to say.
After Annabeth was done grilling Hazel about Percy, she sat there eating and thinking about when she would see Percy again.
Thalia would glance at young Annabeth and Percy unknowingly flirt-argue with each other. She thought about teasing young Annabeth later for having an obvious crush. She wondered if young Annabeth would admit it outright this time because her future counterpart was actually dating Percy.
Young Annabeth was talking with Percy about their favorite thing to watch on TV. Percy said the Discover Channel but only the episodes on the Ocean and it's Sea creatures. They just fascinated him, his particular favorite was shark week. Annabeth was more interested in watching any documentary, particularly the history ones. Except the ones that have Ancient Aliens, because the mortals just see what the mist shows them. 90% of the time its Apollo or Hermes being reckless and/or clueless.
Percy was wondering why these girls were paying him any attention. All girls had ever done to him was poke fun at him. None were ever nice to him. 'This is weird' he thought.
After dinner was over everyone got up, they followed Hestia who showed them to their quarters.
Much like camp they would get rooms according to their godly parent. The rooms all had bunks in them if the god/goddess had multiple children. However for children of the big three and any other gods with few children each had there own room in their parents temple.
Young Annabeth hugged Percy goodnight and parted ways, then followed her siblings to their rooms.
Annabeth was more reluctant to split up from young Percy and gave him a hug. "Goodnight Seaweed Brain." she said. Percy looked at her confused, she smiled at his expression.
"I'll explain that tomorrow, it's late you need some sleep." she said with a grin.
"Oh, ok." said Percy, still confused but went off to his room passing three other rooms each with a name above the door. The first one said 'Theseus', the next said 'Orion', and then the last one before his room said 'older Percy'. This shocked him, he didn't think his future self would show up. 'What did I do in the future?' he thought. 'Hopefully nothing bad.' He then walked into his room, and looked around. The floor was glass, the walls were painted different shades of Sea Green and painted to look like a moving current. Or maybe it was moving...the paint on the walls was moving. That amazed him, and what sent him over the edge was looking down through the glass floor. Were dozens of fish all looking up at him, he was standing on top of a fish tank. 'Hello Lord.' he heard the fish say.
Percy was speechless, he was being called Lord. 'Since when was I a Lord?' he thought.
'You are Lord Poseidon's son, you are a Prince of Atlantis and the Sea.' they said in his head.
"Uh-huh." he said. "Alright, and on that note." he plopped onto a King size bed with blue sheets. "Time for bed." he finished. As soon as he laid his head down he was asleep.
Thalia's POV (sorta)
She took one step into her room, and she almost passed out. The room was also made of glass, but there was no aquarium under the glass. She was looking right at the city of Manhattan. After collecting herself she turned and ran to Artemis' quarters.
As she was running she passed by her brother Jason. He smiled at Thalia, and she glared in response.
"What was that out there?" she asked him.
"What do you mean?" he asked nervously.
"How you were behaving throughout the reading." she responded.
"Again, what do you mean?" he asked getting a little defensive.
"You were acting like a jerk to Percy." said Thalia.
"Well what makes you think he doesn't deserve it, he isn't perfect Thalia yet everyone acts like he is." said Jason.
"He is not perfect, but he is everything we say he is." said Thalia with anger towards Jason.
"Really, how can someone be so humble after doing everything they claim he's done. I think he is a fraud, and I am going to find proof. Then I will show everyone, and get everything he took from me back." said Jason with venom.
Thalia was stunned her brother was acting this way. "You can try Jason. I don't know what happened to the brother I knew, but this isn't him. Until you figure that out and stop this act, don't come near me." she finished with her eyes watering.
She quickly walked off to Artemis' room leaving a stunned Jason who's eyes were also watering.
Luke's POV (sorta)
Luke was shocked to see Annabeth so crazy over a boy. Normally he wouldn't have a problem with this and be happy for her. But it seems this Percy had managed to stop Kronos in the future, although maybe he saved Olympus from some minor threat and his plans weren't in vain. Whatever the case, this Percy seemed powerful. He would be a great asset to have, but a worse enemy. But he was also aware of Kronos' plan to use him as a scapegoat for the stolen items. Although with the reading he doubts any of the sensible gods with believe that. So he decided to have a talk with young Percy in the morning, but would get some sleep first.
As he got into his bunk he looked around at his siblings, and made sure they weren't being knuckleheads before putting his head on his pillow. That night he had a nightmare, he got these a lot but typically they weren't to bad since he was working with Kronos. He would just make sure not to fail him otherwise they would be bad.
In his dream he was standing in a pit, looking up he could see a faint light. But he didn't focus on that, he looked around for the person who summoned him here to talk. Then there he was, a 10 foot tall man but not completely together. In fact he wasn't solid at all, he was a fine mist of particles that formed body parts that were trying to put themselves together. He had golden eyes, black hair and a pointy black beard. Kronos.
"You have summonsed me my Lord." said Luke kneeling.
"Yes. It seems that Poseidon's boy has learned who his father is. Earlier than expected but we can still blame him for the theft of the bolt." said Kronos. "You have stolen the items, correct?" he said with an edge to his voice that made Luke shiver.
"Yes my Lord, I have the bolt. I also managed to get the helm, I looked for the Trident but it wasn't in Poseidon's room." said Luke.
"Good." said Kronos with an evil smile.
"But...there is a new development." said Luke hesitantly.
"What?" said Kronos with the same tone as before.
"Um...the fates, they sent back some demigods from the future. These demigods have claimed that Percy saved Olympus, but they didn't specify what he saved Olympus from." said Luke.
"Go on." Kronos said with a bit of worry.
"We are reading a series of books about the future. This first book is called The Lightning Thief. So I am inclined to believe that it also has to do with the items I've stolen. So sometime throughout the reading I might get caught with the bolt and helm." said Luke nervously.
"DAMN the Fates, interfering in my plan for the new Golden Age." said Kronos with anger. "Get out of there now, we are going to have to adapt the plan. You need to get the bolt to me, and get in contact with someone you trust to recruit demigods from within camp."
"But then they would immediately discover I had stolen the items and realize it to be you." said Luke.
"Not if you kept a low profile, and from the sound of it they have to finish the book anyways." said Kronos. "And seeing as we are against the gods in the book, you will not be restricted to the same rules as the others. Allowing you to freely leave."
Luke nodded reluctantly he was hoping to talk with Thalia and young Percy and convince them to join him and his efforts. He figured Annabeth wouldn't go with him now unless he managed to get Percy to come with him. If he had a chance to get those three on his side he'd be unstoppable.
"Leave before morning with the bolt and helm, and get them to me." said Kronos as the dream faded.
Luke woke up covered in sweat as he did every night. He got up and changed into his clothes since he slept in his underwear. As did most his siblings. He got the bag he had hidden the bolt and helm in, which he'd hid in a large flower pot. He made his way out of the bedroom, down the hall and eventually made his way outside. He walked down the pathway that led to the elevator doors, and escaped into Manhattan. It was 1:56 am.
Annabeth's POV (sorta)
Annabeth was awake for what felt like hours, she looked at her alarm clock and it read 12:30 am. She sighed and resorted to counting sheep again. This time it worked and she fell asleep. In her dream she saw Percy on the ground in front of her. His body was even more fit than the last time she'd seen him, she felt her face get warm. Which only happened whenever he looked at her, but he never seemed to notice she was blushing much to her relief. Although this time just seeing his toned body was enough for her to blush. She made her way over to him and noticed things about him that made her heart plummet into her stomach.
His body was covered in blood, and there were sword cuts and arrows sticking out of him. She started to cry, she looked around and saw a bunch of kids wearing purple shirts. They all said Camp Jupiter.
She got down next to Percy begging him to wake up, hoping he would wake up. She wept more and more, until she felt an arrow pierce her stomach. She looked up and saw a Roman looking at her as if she was covered in garbage. Then she woke up covered in sweat. She cursed at future Hera for sending her those awful dreams. Even if she is in the past Hera can still give her nightmares of Percy dying before she can be with him.
She glanced at her alarm clock and it read 2:06 am. She sighed and got out of bed and changed into some new pajamas. She decided that she would sneak off the old Percy's room and sleep there. She knew of it's existence because she said good night to young Percy down the hall from it. She crept her way into his room and gasped at the beauty of it, she could see Percy loving this room. So for that reason she already loved it.
She walked over to his dresser curious if his clothes were here, since all of her clothes from the future were. She was glad to see they were, even thought she had already stolen plenty of his clothing when he wasn't missing and even more when he went missing. She still grabbed a sweatshirt from the drawer and put it on and smiled because it smelled like Percy. She climbed into his bed and pulled the covers over her, and fell asleep. This time she dreamed about all of her good moments she'd ever spent with Percy and was given a mid-dream message from the Fates telling her that Percy would arrive sometime tomorrow.
Nico's POV
I woke up to someone shaking his shoulder. I opened my eyes and saw Hazel looking at me and telling me to get up. I reluctantly did and got dressed.
I walked into the kitchen and noticed most of the demigods present. The ones that were still asleep included, Percy and...he was the only one asleep. I walked over to Thalia who was talking a very red Annabeth wearing...Percy's Goode High swimming sweatshirt. I only knew this only because it said that on the Sweatshirt and I learned Percy was also the Captain. 'Shouldn't a son of Poseidon on the swim team be considered cheating?' I thought.
I finally got there and asked. "Why is Annabeth blushing?"
"I found her sleeping in the bed meant for future Percy when he shows up." said Thalia with a smirk.
I snorted and said. "That's not surprising. But they already set up a room for him?"
Annabeth and Thalia simply nodded. "I am going to go and wake up Percy." said Annabeth who was slightly red from blushing earlier.
I nodded and saw young Annabeth follow her out. 'She must've heard' I thought.
I looked around the room and noticed Will talking with his Dad. When I looked at him my heart fluttered a little in my chest. Normally that only happened around Percy, thankfully it wasn't so bad anymore.
It had hurt when he and Annabeth started dating, but he was happy for them. He knew that Percy was as straight as they come, he could only hope that wasn't the case for Will.
I sat down and started eating after saying good morning to everyone especially to Sally and Paul. They were practically his parents too, which made him happy.
No POV
When everyone saw Percy walking into the room with a very red face followed by two giggling Annabeth's everyone was wondering what had happened to them. The futures smiled seeing Annabeth happy again even if it was temporary until future Percy showed up. Piper, Leo, and Jason were shocked, they had never seen Annabeth show any 'happy' emotions before.
"Gonna tell us what happened?" asked Thalia looking at both Annabeth's.
Everyone noticed Percy look at the two of them pleadingly. They both smiled and shook their heads. Percy let out a huge breath of relief causing the two to giggle again. They sat down, everyone was in the same seats as last night for dinner.
Percy got Blue Pancakes like always, he looked around the table after taking a huge bite. His eyes widened, and he swallowed his food. "Why did you guys get it blue?" he asked.
The futures looked down at their blue breakfast's. "Well as you know we are from the future. Since you went missing Annabeth started eating blue food." said Clarrise said.
Thalia added. "Some of us asked her why, and she told us the story the future you told her."
Percy's expression darkened at the reminder of Gabe. Young Annabeth noticed and put her hand on his, he smiled gratefully and continued to listen to the story.
"After hearing that story those of us that heard did it once a month because our friend was missing and blue food was important to him. So it was to honor and remember him, but when he shows up...we are going to beat him up for getting kidnapped so easily." said Thalia playfully.
Annabeth glared at Thalia. "Relax, we aren't going to kill him. We'll leave that to you...but we all know what you are really planning to do to him once he shows up." Thalia said with a smirk.
Annabeth blushed deep red. "What are you going to do to future me?" Percy asked timidly his hand was still under young Annabeth's hand.
Young Annabeth looked at her older self curiously and saw her wink at Percy. He was confused by the wink and a little worried she thought that was cute. But she was also blushing as much as her older self, because she knew what she was thinking.
Then Thalia started to say. "Percy...what if I told you. That-" she was cut off by a glared from Annabeth and noticed she mouthed the words 'not yet'.
Thalia sighed in defeat. Then grinned as a light bulb went off in her head and asked Percy. "Ok, so I won't tell you that. Someone else will...but I have a question for you Percy."
Percy was confused at the secrecy and a little annoyed too. "Ok. Shoot." said Percy.
Thalia's grin grew even wider. "What do you think of Annabeth, your answer counts for both of them seeing as they are the same person." said Thalia.
Percy felt his face get warm, and everyone smirked at him. While both Annabeth's were curious and eagerly awaiting an answer. "Um...what do you mean?" he asked.
"I mean what do you think of her? Do you think she looks pretty?" she asked.
By now Percy was as red as both Annabeth's before. Both trying to hide a smile from looking at his red face, and wanting to hear him say yes.
Percy just gave a small nod. "What was that?" asked Thalia.
"Yes." Percy tried to whisper but failed. Thalia smiled triumphantly, the rest of the futures all smiled to and gave a few chuckles.
Both Annabeth's blushed. They already knew this from the book, and older Annabeth from her Percy. But she always blushed whenever he said it to her, I guess it applies to all versions of her boyfriend.
Young Annabeth was blushing such a deep red it now matched Percy. After a short while they started to recover, and before the moment was lost she kissed young Percy on the cheek. Causing the boy to blush again, and stare at his plate of food hoping no-one noticed. However he wasn't that lucky. Young Annabeth also started blushing again because she realized everyone had seen her do that. Then Percy pulled his hand out from under hers and started eating. At the reminder her hand was touching his she blushed again.
Meanwhile Grover was thinking. 'That's all we had to do. They will be together in no time.'
Throughout breakfast everyone was wondering were Luke was. Hermes went over to his kids and asked, they said he wasn't in his bunk when they woke up. He got worried he knew his son had a bad fate, and hoped that it wasn't true. So maybe he was out planning a prank or setting one up.
The futures noticed and weren't surprised Thalia was upset because she had once loved Luke but when he betrayed her she didn't love him anymore. But still wished he was a part of her life. Annabeth was sad and angry thinking 'That idiot, I never forgave him for trying to kill Percy so many times but I still wanted my brother back.'
Young Annabeth hadn't noticed he was missing yet, she was to busy trying to keep her blushing under control when around Percy. She was marginally successful is what she told herself. From the knowing looks being shot her way from the futures, and every her and Percy's own Parents and Aphrodite to top it all off. She knew she was failing.
After everyone was done eating, they walked back into the throne room and sat in the same seats as the day before.
Athena materialized the book from out of the air, and handed it to Frederick who offered to read.
Sorry that this took a while to get out. I have been spending my Christmas break with my family, and will most likely continue to do so until break ends for me.
So don't expect chapters to come flying out as often as they did at the start until my break is over. Which is January 18.
But I have not forgotten about this story. I also realize I have many grammatical mistakes, which I wish I didn't write obviously. But staring at a white screen writing for hours on end makes my eyes and brain tired. So I miss simple stuff, I completely understand why all fan fictions are like this now.
That being said. You guys are smart enough to know what I mean whenever I make a mistake...don't take it for fact if its an obvious error.
But you knew that already. Peace.
