Make It Right
Rainbow Haired Girl
Summary: Andrea "Andy" Georgie Kirk also known as Jinx by others is a dancer at an Iowa strip club. Her life changes when she gets a phone call from the bartender that Jim had gotten into a fight and she goes there and gets thrown into a life that she wasn't expecting. Starting a life in Starfleet. Pairing is undecided. Part 1 of Dancer Gone StarFleet.
Disclaimer: I don't own Star Trek. I do own the dvds. I do own Andrea though.
Authoress Note: I know I shouldn't be writing another story, but I wanted to. I thought that this would be a good one to write. It would be a challenge for me. I love having a challenge. I wanted to see how this would turn out. Seeing the fact that she is Jim's older sister the pairings are kind of limited. There is Leonard McCoy, Spock, and perhaps Montgomery Scott. So very limited on the pairings. I know that is going to be kind of odd having a dancer into Starfleet, but she needs a life turn around that is for sure. That is why I decided to write this. It was going to be something rather interesting for me to write out and have some fun with. It will be following the movie, but not all the way through because of who the OC is. I hope that this story will be alright. Without further ado the Prologue.
Prologue
12 year old Andy looked up from what she was doing outside as a loud bang was heard. She turned her head seeing her older brother George angrily exiting the house, carrying a duffel bag over his shoulder. Her blue eyes furrowed in concern as he walked angrily down the path. Their angrier Uncle Frank followed him and 11-year old Jim nervously followed them.
"Go ahead, run away! You know I could give a damn!" Uncle Frank shouted as spittle came from his angry turned lips as he gave the eldest Kirk sibling what for.
"Wait- no! Where are you going?" Jim said as he tried to catch up to his brother.
"Anywhere but here, as far as I can get!" George shouted looking back at his younger brother.
Andy rang her hands together nervously as she moved away from the laundry that she had been putting up out on the line.
"Which won't be far enough - know what your problem is?!" Uncle Frank snapped before spitting out a big wad of spit onto the ground. "No one ever taught you respect! How to follow orders! Do as you're told!" He looked at Jim, narrowing his eyes at the younger brother. "What the hell are you doing?"
"I- I just don't want my brother to go." Jim said softly, tears coming to his eyes.
"Well I do- and I asked you to wash the Earl. How many damn times do I need to repeat myself?! How many damn times? How many?" He glared at George and walked off.
Jim nervously followed his brother, pulling out a small floating disc. "Please stay- you can have my Flo-Yo!"
George smacked away from him. "This isn't about toys, it's Uncle Frank. I can't take him anymore - Mom has no idea what he's like when she's not here- d'you hear him talking like he's our dad?! And that's not even his car you're washing! That was Dad's Earl. You know why you're washing it? Because he's gonna sell it!"
"Don't leave - okay? We can tell Mom when she gets back from Africa."
"She's gone for five more months, by then I'll be in a different system." He saw the fear in his brother's eyes and then saw his younger sister come towards them. "You're gonna be okay. You always are. Always doing everything right - good grades and obeying every stupid order... I can't be a Kirk in this house. Show me how to do that and I'll stay."
Andy felt her heart grip in her chest as she watched George give Jim a hug before he wrapped his arms around her. He then turned walking away from the two of them. The two younger siblings watched their older brother walk away sadly. "Jimmy…"
"I'm fine." He said softly, moving away from his sister.
"You better do what Uncle Frank says before he tries to come after us with a belt for not doing our chores." She said softly before moving away from her younger brother and moving to go and finish hanging up the laundry that she was doing before everything had gone to shit. She took a soft breath as she slowly hung the laundry up. Her brows furrowed when she saw something that she wouldn't ever see, Jim taking off in the red and white Earl tearing down the road at a high pace of speed. Her blue eyes wide in shock as she watched the dust kick up and the car was now long gone out of sight.

This is the end of the prologue. I hope that you guys enjoyed this part of the story. I am trying my hand at something new and something a little different than what I am used to. So I'm really hoping that this turns out well. This time we have an older sibling instead of a younger sibling which is different from my other Kirk story that I have out. Please leave a review and let me know what you think. Who do you think that maybe Andy should be with in this story? I'm just trying to get my bearings down trying to figure out who she should be with. Since there aren't that many characters to choose from really to pair her off with. Reviews help me keep on going when it comes to writing and it helps with my muse. I will try to update as soon as I can. Until next time.
