Disclaimer: Sorry if some of the stuff in this story seems a little rushed. I forgot if I said it before, but I won't be giving every world an in depth analysis, but I will try to show them all off before the ending. At least until Winter Tundra. I'll work that out when we get to it. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this next chapter. Enjoy!
Spyro: The Hero of Avalar
Ripto arc Episode seven: Avalar's Rise
Rock music played and a male voice was heard singing the main theme of the story, Spyro, with Spyro and his friends shown one by one with each guitar string, and the guitar played harder with Spyro dodging Ripto's wand blasts and breathing fire at him. "Spyro! He's a kid and he wants to get home, (Elora is shown to be sneaking around some of Ripto's forces to get a Talisman) and Avalar needs a hero, to beat Ripto's dome. (Hunter is shown to be spinning a Talisman on his finger before being chased by Crush and Gulp) Spyro! With power from his head to his tail, (Moneybags is shown to be shaking his money bag to a clearly annoyed Spyro) he'll be there and evil won't prevail."
Flame, Ember, and Cynder were shown working together to get Spyro back home. "When evil's breaking pace, (Sawyer is shown to be overpowering Ripto) he gets right in it's face, Spyro. (Spyro is shown to be struggling to control the pin in his forehead) When trouble comes for shock, (Spyro shakes the headache off and is then shown flying at Ripto) it's time; let's rock, (Spyro punches Ripto and makes the screen change to him and his friends standing with each other as Spyro: The Hero of Avalar is shown with Spyro standing confidently in front of it, Sparx laying right on top of him, Hunter on the O at the end of Spyro, Elora standing next to Spyro with a smile, Nigel and Melinda walking in next to the word 'Hero' as Cynder kissing Spyro on his right cheek, making him smile) Spyro!"
Elora was now in Winter Tundra, looking at the castle with determination as the entrance was shown from her hiding spot. She knew she had to do this quickly, as the snow she needed for this to go as fast as possible was right by the fortress wall. There were a couple of guards in there however, so she had to go in quietly. She took out some kind of chip and ate it, jumping into the water as soon as it activated. This led to her being immune to the effects of the freezing water, which allowed her to climb up and reach the other side with little to no trouble.
Once Elora was on the other side of the bridge that went over the river to the fortress, she snuck over to a patch of snow to get as much as she needed. She took out some kind of bag that allowed her to put the snow away and keep it cold enough to bring back to Autumn Plains. One of the guards looked over to where Elora was, but she jumped back into the water before he could see what she was doing. He looked a little confused, unsure if he saw what he thought he saw.
The guards then started talking with the other one questioning what the first one was looking at. "You okay, buddy?"
"Yeah, I'm fine." The guard assured his friend. He decided to believe that he was just seeing things, since he'd been up late last night. "I must've seen something."
"See, this is why you shouldn't have stayed up at night watching that movie."
"It was a good movie! Maybe we can watch it at next week's party."
Elora reached the other side and smiled at how easy that was. She could've sworn she was gonna have to do something way harder to get what she needed. She then giggled at how dumb the guards were when she saw them talking right across from her and made her way to the portal back to Autumn Plains.
The armies of Breeze Harbor and Zephyr were currently debating over whether or not they should team up to put a stop to Sawyer and Ripto. One of the Breeze Harbor soldiers, who was now taking charge as leader, made his call by bringing up a concern in regards to teaming up. "How do we know you won't just double cross us? You're slimy enough to make it a possible conclusion."
The leader of the Zephyr army could see part of the Breeze Harbor soldier's point. He was still ready to defend himself however. "I don't like this team up anymore than you do, Windar, but I can assure you that we have no intentions of deceiving you. Just look around!" The Zephyr army leader pointed to the wreckage to make his point. "Sawyer caused damage to both of our homes. We have no reason to double cross each other, knowing we want the same thing."
Windar saw the leader's point, and thought about it for a moment. He knew his decision would have to be swift, so he decided to see if he was serious. "I supposed you're right about that, Glumbob." Glumbob saw where Windar was going with this as Windar held out his wing. "After all... the enemy of our enemy..."
Glumbob smiled as he happily shook Windar's wing, glad that they were on the same page. "Is our friend."
The armies from Breeze Harbor and Zephyr reluctantly shook palms as Windar spoke up about this predicament. "I can't promise anything, but perhaps this will lead to the two of us finally making true peace."
Glumbob did like the sound of that. All of this fighting was starting to get dull for him anyway. "Perhaps. Just keep your prejudices to yourself until we can joke about it." Windar nodded in response to that, being more than happy to fulfill Glumbob's wishes.
Spyro had then made his way into Scorch, where he took notice to two kids scheming nearby. When he snuck on over to them, he overheard the two of them talking about what they were gonna do with the Talisman as the boy spoke up. "Remember, Greta. We only have one chance to get that Talisman. One wrong move and it's all over."
Spyro became intrigued by this with the girl letting the boy know that she was well aware of that. "I know, Handel, I know. Just make sure we don't fowget about our actual mission here either. We gotta take this base out as soon as we find the Talisman."
"Maybe I can help." Spyro offered as soon as he came out, startling Handel and Greta as he then explained what he was doing there. "I couldn't help but overhear your conversation. My name's Spyro, and I'm the dragon who's gonna help save Avalar." Spyro revealed his guidebook and showed Handel and Greta the Talismans he had so far, amazing them both. "I have half of the fourteen Talismans in my possession right now. Sawyer and Ripto have four of them, but that's still not much compared to me."
Handel and Greta felt they could get a benefit from teaming up with Spyro. Handel made sure he was telling the truth just in case. "So you wanna help save Avalar you say? Then tell us one thing, Spyro. Does King Nigel trust you?"
"He should. His daughter's the one who enlisted me." Spyro informed Handel and Greta, and the two hi fived as Spyro put his guidebook away and got ready to jump in. "Looks like a yes to me. Let's do this!" Spyro ran off with Handel and Greta, who went after him to make sure that the three of them could successfully get the Talisman and blow up the base.
Cynder had made her way to Fracture Hills, and after taking out another one of the Riptocs, she saw a Satyr frozen in stone. She went over to the statue and tapped it, freeing the Satyr, which led to him pulling out his bagpipes. As he started playing, part of the top of a tower that was covered in rock started to come off, leading to the Talisman room being shown further. The Satyr then thanked Cynder for her trouble. "Thank you, my young friend! It feels great to spread my music across Fracture Hills again."
"So long as you remember to give ear plugs to whoever turned you to stone first." Cynder commented, being well aware that someone had to have turned the Satyrs to stone before this all went down. "Anyway, I already saved one of your friends. Any idea where one of the other frozen Satyrs might be?" The Satyr pointed up to a cliff where another statue was, and Cynder was grateful for the help. "Thanks." Cynder flew off and went over to the Satyr, hoping that this one would be a little more careful. "Hopefully this one is a little more subtle."
Cynder freed the Satyr and waited to see what he would do, and then he started playing his bagpipes as well. This freed more of the Talisman room, but Cynder was still annoyed at how sudden it was. 'Really seems like these guys don't care about revealing their location.'
The Satyr was grateful for the assist and made that clear when he spoke to Cynder. "Thanks for your help, lass. To play my music again is a dream come true."
Cynder sighed, having a feeling that she was going to have to deal with this quite a bit with the remaining three as well. "I can only imagine." Cynder then headed off and started to look for the fourth of the sixth Satyr she would have to save.
Elora was taking care of the potion needed to cure Spyro's pin with all of the ingredients currently mixed, except for the snow, which she was about to put into the flask. As she was taking care of this, someone knocked on her door, and she let them know to come in. "It's open!" This led to Nigel coming in, and Elora set her stuff down as she addressed him. "Oh, hi, daddy. Did you need something?"
"Just to talk." Nigel assured Elora, and he closed the door behind her as he cleared his throat to discuss what's been going on lately. "Elora. You know I love you and your mother more than anything, right?"
"Of course!" Elora exclaimed, knowing that her father loved her as much as she loved him. She then noticed his worried look and had a feeling as to what it was about. "Dad, if this is about Spyro, then you don't have to worry. I already got started on the potion and it'll be ready for Spyro to take soon."
Nigel kneeled down to Elora, assuring her that he had something else on his mind. "Actually, it's about my behavior regarding Spyro. I do understand that he's doing his best to help us, and I'm trying to work with him the best I can, despite my concerns." Nigel put his palm on Elora's shoulder, knowing she understood what he was saying. "Please, Elora. Understand that I'll only fight with Spyro directly if I have to."
Elora appreciated the concern and put her palms on her father's to make sure he knew it would be okay. "I understand, dad. You don't have to worry though. I'm doing everything I can to keep Spyro's pin from taking over, and we'll be ready with it soon enough to save him." Nigel did admire her daughter's optimism, and she then hugged him, surprising him a bit before he wrapped his arms around her. He was glad to have a daughter who was so understanding as to what he was feeling.
Spyro, Handel, and Greta were sneaking around Scorch with Spyro flying next to Handel and Greta, who were running along the fortress walls. They spotted two guards nearby and nodded to Spyro, who flew on ahead to catch sight of the Talisman. Once he flew ahead, Handel and Greta ran over to the spot on the wall that was right above the guards so they could get in. They jumped down and landed right on top of them, kicking them into each other after jumping on their heads. This knocked them out, and the twins then made their way in after hi fiving.
Spyro got sight of what looked like an Emerald Scarab Talisman and looked around to make sure that Sawyer and Ripto weren't anywhere nearby. When he saw that they weren't near the area, he dove in. He landed right in front of the guards in front of the Talisman and scorched them before they could act. Once that was taken care of, Handel and Greta started stacking up the guards. Spyro decided to join in on the fun, and together, they stacked up about twenty guards they took out in Scorch.
Spyro gave a thumbs up to Handel and Greta before the three of them walked up to the Talisman. Handel grabbed it and showed it to Greta to celebrate. "Look, Greta! We finally know what a Talisman looks like!"
"I know Handel! It looks so cool!" Greta replied, being amazed at how pretty the Talisman looked. It looked as if it was made out of real emerald.
Spyro put the Talisman into his guidebook as Handel gave it to him, knowing that this would be handy in helping him save Avalar. "This'll be worth it, Handel. Greta." Spyro smiled as he addressed Handel and Greta with gratitude. "I give you my word." Handel and Greta knew they could trust Spyro, seeing as he willingly helped them break into the base. The two of them smiled as they looked at each other and got ready to blow up the base. That was Spyro's cue to get out of there, and he headed through the portal after bidding the twins farewell so Handel and Greta could finish their mission.
Back in Fracture Hills, Cynder walking up to the Talisman hut, which was now fully open, with Hunter appearing to now have accompanied her. She also seemed to be frustrated about what it was that led to her finding Hunter there. "I'm telling you Hunter; if he just looked to the left and went THAT way, he would've saved you a lot sooner! But noooo; instead he decides to risk getting himself crushed by a bunch of rock beasts."
"Yeah, I don't know what was going on with his head." Hunter admitted, feeling Cynder's pain, despite his cheerful look when pulling out an orb. "But hey. At least we got an orb out of it."
Cynder had to admit that having an orb was a plus. Another plus was about to come as she and Hunter walked up to a grateful looking female Satyr holding a Bronze Flute Talisman. "Thank you so much for helping us! Please, take this Talisman to help yourself in your travels."
Cynder happily accepted the Talisman and put it into Hunter's bag, knowing that it would be safer in there after tightened up. "Thanks. Now if Spyro was able to get the Talisman in Scorch, we should have nine Talismans in our possession." The Satyr smiled and was glad to have been of help.
Hunter then gave a thumbs up to Cynder, knowing that her work here was worth it. "And even if he didn't, at least we managed to get this one. Let's head back and fill the others in." Cynder was down for that, and as she and Hunter bid the Satyr farewell, they went through the portal back to Autumn Plains.
Sawyer and Ripto were preparing for their next Talisman as Sawyer was shown to be looking at some kind of portal in a book he spawned for himself to read. The book he was reading revealed it to be a purple creature, but before Sawyer could speak up about it, Ripto let him know that he was ready with his location. "Sawyer, my remaining minions are ready to defend the foretress in full swing again. I'm ready to take our next Talisman!"
Sawyer closed the book and walked over to Ripto, and he also made sure to let him know about the book. "You will know what that book was about in due time, Ripto." Ripto nodded as he and Sawyer got ready to teleport to a land with a volcano in it called Magma Cone. This is the location they agreed to attack next, and Sawyer then left another note for Ripto to remember. "Assuming you last long enough to hear it." Ripto gulped upon hearing that. It was clear that he picked up on one of many implications Sawyer could've been making with those words.
As Spyro and the others were making their way to the throne room, they discovered that Hunter's parents had some good news for them all. They were quick to show them as well with Hunter's mother speaking first. "Ah, greetings. We have some news we feel you'll love to hear." Spyro and the others allowed Hunter's parents to head on down to them as they revealed something involving Breeze Harbor and Zephyr. "We just heard about the temporary truce Breeze Harbor and Zephyr made to help stop Sawyer and Ripto!"
Spyro and the others were glad to hear that with Elora commenting on how surprised she was about the truce. "A temporary truce? They must really wanna help save Avalar then. They've been at war with each other for years!"
"Then it's a good thing they decided to stop now." Hunter's father chimed in, glad to see the two groups getting along now. "Perhaps now we can convince them to settle their differences in chess or something."
Spyro snickered a bit at the idea of stopping a war through chess. "I doubt that. We'll be lucky if they can even get along if they've been fighting for THAT long."
Spyro couldn't help snickering a little more with Hunter noticing that Archer wasn't in the room with them. "Hey. Where's Archer?"
"Didn't he say he was gonna get us some more orbs before we left?" Cynder asked, having a feeling that this was what Archer was up to. "Maybe he found one that's really hard to get."
"You're right about that!" Spyro and the others looked to find Hunter having just arrived into the castle throne room by climbing through the window. "That one on the castle roof took forever to get to! Good thing determination goes such a long way." Archer showed the group that he was able to get four orbs from the castle alone after showing them in his sack. "I think these will help balance out your power, even with four Talismans being lost to our enemies." Spyro and the others like the look of this, and Spyro couldn't help but smile at the sight of having even more orbs.
Elora also remembered to let Spyro know about the potion, so she kneeled down to him to let him know about her progress. "Before we find the last two Talismans, Spyro, I think you'll be glad to know that the potion needed to cure Sawyer's dark pin is almost finished! (Spyro beams) All we need now is more time."
Spyro was on board with that, and he was as happier as ever with the knowledge that his cure was nearing sight. "This trip just got ten times more awesome!" Cynder was glad to see this, as it meant that she could see more of her boyfriend's excitement shine through. "Let's get those last two Talismans and beat Sawyer and Ripto up!" Spyro's stomach then growled, reminding him that he had to eat with him laughing a bit at the timing. "After we have lunch that is." Spyro patted his belly with Melinda rushing off to the kitchen, being more than happy to get started on the cooking.
Elora was glad to see that she could help Spyro and gave him some advice on where to go next. "The last two places are Magma Cone and Shady Oasis. If we can get a hold of eleven Talismans compared to Sawyer and Ripto's three, then we should be more than capable of taking them down."
"And after we defeat them, we'll be more than certain to keep our end of the deal." Nigel assured Spyro and Cynder, knowing that the two of them were still looking forward to heading home. "We'll get the portal ready and help you go home once we have full reign of Winter Tundra."
Cynder then nuzzled Spyro's cheek, making him smile at how loving his girlfriend was to him. "And maybe when we get back, you can finally introduce me to your family in a formal manner. I got a glimpse as to who they all were when I first met them, but I think you can help me decide who to stick with." Spyro was excited for that to happen with Cynder whispering something into his ear. "Side note, your older brother is a total idiot." Spyro laughed a bit upon hearing that, and he couldn't lie. Jogger wasn't the brightest by any means.
An hour later, Spyro was shown arriving in Magma Cone with Hunter, and the two of them got a good look around what looked like an area with a volcano near a small town. It seemed to be inhabited by friendly male fauns who all looked disappointed about something, and Spyro and Hunter walked over to them as they talked. "Thanks for coming with me, Hunter. These sad looking fauns alone make me feel that I'll need some help."
"It helps that I know a thing or two about making people feel good." Hunter informed Spyro, and he made an offer to Spyro that he felt he couldn't pass up. "Just say the word and I'll get my clown costume on."
Spyro didn't think that was necessary, and walked up to one of the fauns to figure out what was wrong. "What's wrong, buddy?" The faun was about to respond, only for the volcano to spew out some lava, almost scorching the three standing there. Spyro quickly caught onto what was going on. "I'm guessing THAT'S what's wrong."
The faun nodded his head yes, and then he explained what he and his friends were planning. "My friends and I were going to have a party here, since we finally found a viable way to clog the volcano long enough to make it happen without making it erupt too violently. But now Ripto and his new dragon friend have spoiled our fun by destroying what we were using."
Spyro was confused by that with Hunter commenting on it, being a little puzzled himself. "I'd be more concerned about the fact that you could die if you stay here, but hey; I won't tell you how to feel."
Spyro then realized what the faun said and started to get frustrated as he asked him another question. "The dragon wouldn't happen to be a black skinned one, right? One who looked like he wanted to cause chaos and fear for all who could move?"
"You nailed it, kid." The faun informed Spyro, who was starting to get more enraged with Hunter and the faun starting to get scared as the latter directed him to where they were. "They're in the volcano if you wish to see."
"Thank you!" Spyro shouted, and then he took off at max speed, refusing to let Sawyer and Ripto get away with what they were pulling once again.
Flame and Ember were eating their lunch in the portal room together while simply talking about life. They ordered a pizza while they took their lunch break, and as they did, Flame was thinking about how Sawyer going into the world Spyro was trapped in would affect it. "So... Sawyer went into the portal that led to the world Spyro's stuck in right now, right?" Ember nodded her head yes with Flame then asking a question. "How severe do you think the consequences from that will be?"
Ember thought about that, and as she did, she worried about how the world Spyro and Cynder was in grave danger. "If I know what Sawyer's like, I bet it won't be good." Ember finished what was her second slice of pizza as she pointed out something that could seem related to the situation. "It's also worth noting that he sent Spyro to that world himself. Do you think he might've planned for this to happen?"
"Must have, if something in that world held value to him." Flame answered, having a good idea as to what Sawyer was about when it came to this kind of stuff. "He doesn't seem like the greedy type though. Maybe if there's valuable stuff there, it's stuff that'll help him get something he's after."
Ember felt that made sense. Though, she had to wonder what it was that Sawyer could be after, if it wasn't power. "From what I've seen, Sawyer seems like someone who wants power, destruction, and the suffering of as many beings as possible. It's kind of hard to think about what else he could be looking for."
"The right kind of booze to get wasted on if he wins?" Flame joked, and Ember couldn't help but snicker at the thought of Sawyer getting drunk. Not because of how obvious it sounded, but because Sawyer was Spyro's twin brother, and neither of them were old enough to drink yet. Flame then laughed a little himself as he thought about the joke. He felt it could eventually become a reality. "You think he'd be into something full of burn?"
"Maybe." Ember admitted as she grabbed her third slice of pizza. She then blew on it to cool it down before finishing her statement. "If there's one thing he and Spyro have in common, it's a burning passion for doing what their heart tells them to." Flame could believe that through and through. He knew Spyro too well to deny his passion for doing what was right. Even if his ego could block that sometimes.
Cynder was currently looking around Shady Oasis as she walked through the land of hippos while helping one of them out. The hippo was currently gushing about this place he admired in the land, one that was a benefit to everyone there. "It's amazing, Cynder. A place where you can eat berries all the time, no matter how full you get."
"And if it were candy, you'd probably have diabetes by now." Cynder snarked, and the hippo made it clear that he didn't get the joke with his confused look. Thankfully, Cynder didn't mind explaining it to him. "Hippos are naturally chubby, right? If you ate candy and not fruit, you'd all have diabetes."
The hippo thought for a moment, and then he realized the morbidness of the joke and was a little shocked by it. "Oh."
Cynder and Short came across a big door with Cynder looking up and spotting a tree with a rainbow berry on it. "Sit tight, Shorty." Shorty stood still as Cynder went up to the tree and smacked it with her tail. This allowed the berry to fall to the ground, and Shorty picked it up and ate it. Once he did, he grew incredibly large in size and walked through the door casually, breaking it down. Cynder then flew over to Shorty with him shrinking as soon as she did. "Well they always say big things come in small packages."
Shorty laughed at that remark to the common saying. It was clear that he liked THIS kind of humor better. "We're almost there, Cynder. Then we can get your Talisman." Cynder was glad to hear that and went onward with Shorty so they could get the Talisman.
Sawyer and Ripto were currently at the core of the volcano, or more appropriately, they were at the door that led to it. The two of them were working on breaking in for some reason, and Ripto was questioning why Sawyer didn't just blast it open rather than using his powers to find the lock. "Why not just break it open?"
"If we did that, the volcano would erupt, and then it would be next to impossible to find the Talisman." Sawyer explained, scoffing as he pointed out how dumb Ripto sounded there. "Honestly, Ripto. I expect a stupid question like that to come from your mute henchmen, but you're far too intelligent to even consider asking such pointless questions."
"Just curious is all." Ripto assured Sawyer, not wanting him to think that he was an idiot or anything. "You seem a lot like someone who wants to get things done as fast as possible, regardless of how many creatures you kill."
Sawyer found the lock and opened it up, ready to search for the Talisman as he gave Ripto a deadpan expression. "And our ventures to the worlds we got the Talismans from haven't told you otherwise?"
"HEY!"
Spyro descended into the volcano and dashed down to the entrance of the core, where Sawyer and Ripto waited for him, confident that they could beat him once again. Sawyer signaled Ripto to go into the cave and get the Talisman as he addressed Spyro directly. "You certainly are persistent, my dear brother."
"Don't call me that, Sawyer!" Spyro demanded, refusing to be associated with Sawyer in any meaningful way. He hated him far too much after what he did in some of the previous worlds in Avalar. He was especially angry about what he did to their mother. "We may be blood related, but you stopped being my brother the moment you destroyed our mother's ghost!"
"To keep her ghost around wouldn't have benefited the world in any capacity." Sawyer responded, and then he grinned sadistically, making Spyro enraged as Sawyer pointed out how easy it was. "If anyone really is that easy to kill, then what's the point in keeping them around."
Spyro's pin started acting up again, and as he glared at his so-called brother, his dark purple aura started to spawn again. "That's how you view our mother? The reason you're in this world to begin with!?"
Sawyer noticed that the pin was ingraining itself deeper into Spyro's forehead and was glad to see it taking more effect. This meant he was closer to getting what he wanted out of his twin brother. "And yet our father left you in that pond when she was killed the first time." Spyro started to grow more and more furious as Sawyer stated something else that made him snap. "Ah, yes. I was informed of what happened to you on that day. (Looks directly at Spyro) Such a shame our parents weren't worth it." This then led to Spyro dashing angrily in Sawyer's direction, leaving him to step out of his way and into the volcano.
As Spyro was shown flying down the volcano hallway at high speeds, Ripto was had just found the Talisman in the middle of the room and was about to go and take it back to Sawyer. "This gives us four Talismans in total! Eat on that, dragons!" Just then, Ripto noticed Spyro dashing towards him and was about to dodge, only for Spyro to charge right into him and ram him into the floor. Spyro was quick to throw Ripto towards the wall as hard as he could, and he picked up the Talisman while also taking out his guidebook to put it in. "Hey! That's MY Talisman!"
Spyro was about to put the Talisman into his guidebook, only for Sawyer to grab his claw from behind. This made Spyro look back and breathe a fire at Sawyer, who blocked it iwth his magic and went right in front of Spyro. He stepped on the guidebook to keep Spyro from putting the Talisman in and grinned as he realized what the guidebook was. "Is this what you've been using to collect the Talismans?" Spyro glared at Sawyer, who kicked the book over to Ripto, shocking Spyro, who tried to grab it, but failed. "No longer!"
Ripto grabbed the Guidebook with Spyro starting to show concern with his aura going down a bit. "No!"
Sawyer then smacked Spyro into the wall after taking the Talisman from him and went over to Ripto. Spyro attempted to dash at Sawyer and Ripto, only for Sawyer to hold him back with his magic, just like when they fought atop Gnasty's castle. Spyro charged even harder this time, and almost broke the shield. This alerted Sawyer, so he put the Talisman in and used both of his claws to send Spyro into the ground. Spyro was still fighting however, and he gained a look of horror when he saw Ripto taunting him with an evil grin and the guidebook with thirteen Talismans in it.
Sawyer then spoke about Spyro's fatal mistake as he stepped on his forehead and pinned him to the ground. "If only you didn't reveal the guidebook to us. You might have actually managed to keep the nine Talismans you still had on palm." Spyro glared at Sawyer, who was still pinning him down as he prepared to make his final assault on the residents of Magma Cone. "Such a shame we couldn't have spent longer in this world." Sawyer raised on his his claws as he prepared for his and Ripto's escape. "I can only imagine the scorching possibilities if we stayed."
Sawyer snapped his fingers, causing the hole in the very middle of the volcano to start rumbling and spewing out some lava. Spyro then lashed out at Sawyer, refusing to let him get away with what he was doing. "You monster! I'll kill you!" Sawyer and Ripto teleported out of the volcano, leaving Spyro to look back at the middle of the volcano, which is when his aura depleted completely. He got out of there as fast as he could with the lava chasing after him from the entrance.
Spyro flew as fast as he could out of the entrance, and he was barely able to close the door in time and start flying up. This is when the volcano erupted and caused Spyro to look up. As the lava rose from the volcano, he gained a look of horror and started flying up as quickly as he can. As soon as he rose up, he saw the fauns nearby running around, hiding, or doing anything they could to make it out alive while screaming in fear. Hunter was doing his best to help, despite being too scared to run from his hiding spot. "Get to the portal! It'll guide you to Autumn Plains!"
Spyro knew he had to act fast, and he instantly started helping the fauns get to the portal. As he guided two fauns he landed beside, he got a look at all of the destruction that'd been caused by Sawyer and Ripto. Spyro still couldn't believe he was related to such a monster; someone who could cause this much destruction without remorse. It simply horrified him. And now thanks to his lack of straight thinking, Sawyer and Ripto had his guidebook. They had thirteen Talismans...
...compared to Spyro's zero.
To be continued.
An instrumental version of the main theme played during the credits.
