The Ultimates entered the replicated part of their school when it was under Junko's control - the corridor that led to the student dorms.
"..It's accurate." Makoto said in a low tone.
"Can't deny. Which room do we check out first?" Kirigiri asked.
"Um, i-it's up to you but, uh, why not start with yours? I never saw it." He pointed out.
"Alright." Kyoko confidently opened the door with the pixel art representing her and walked in with her friend.
"Is it, the same?" Naegi questioned uncertainly.
"Pretty much." She answered while briefly examining the room.
"..Are you, investigating something?" Makoto asked.
Kirigiri didn't answer and closed the door to her dorm. "Listen I- I have to be honest with you.. We realistically have no chance of getting out of here. Even if we disarmed him, he surely still has backup. About Junko, we would need to take control of some of the hardware laying around here and try to damage her. But that would take us a long time. Too long. So, in summary, we can't escape or destroy the robot. This is checkmate for them."
"What? You can't be serious. We're not going to give up and wait for Enoshima to get reborn are we?" He questioned loudly.
"If you have a plan I'm all ears." Kirigiri crossed her hands and sat on her bed.
"I- I don't have anything right now but, we can work something out right?" Makoto asked desperately.
"..I'm sorry but, your optimism is useless in our situation. That's the truth." She said while looking away.
"Useless?.." Naegi repeated and slowly sat next to her former classmate. "Did they-.. did they brainwash you?" He questioned in a very worried voice.
"They didn't. I hate to admit it but, this time we're really helpless." Kyoko told.
"But, I- I refuse to-!"
"I know you do." She interrupted her friend by putting her index finger on his lips. "But we can't be sure we'll be alive tomorrow so, why not enjoy our potentially last moments?"
"What? E-enjoy how?" Makoto stuttered in confusion.
"Come with me." Kirigiri got up and entered the bathroom. "We don't want the camera to watch us do we?"
"Kiri uh, what's up with you?" He chuckled nervously, gulped, and slowly joined her friend who closed the door after he entered.
Then Kyoko began searching every corner of the room.
"You mind explaining what's on your head?" Naegi asked but got ignored. "..Kiri? W-what are you looking for? Maybe I, maybe I can help?.."
After his friend turned the place upside down, she turned the shower water on, pulled his blushed friend to her and whispered: "This facility is tapped and filled with cameras can't you see it? They need to think we surrendered."
"Oh.. Oooh y-yeah that makes sense." Makoto said with relief.
"SHHh." Kirigiri sounded. "..Step on my foot." She quietly ordered and took off her shoe.
"Huh? What did you say?" Naegi whispered.
"I said step on my foot. Now." Kyoko repeated.
"What? B-but why?" He asked in confusion.
"That guy ain't dumb, we need to be authentic." Kirigiri sighed, closed her eyes and frowned. "Just do it."
After a few seconds of hesitation, Makoto decided to do what his friend requested, which made her let out a loud moan.
"DAMNIT, NOT ON MY NAILS!" She spoke as silently as she could but without hiding the pain in her voice. She grabbed her left foot, and started jumping on the other one in place.
"I- I'm sorry!" Naegi shouted in low voice.
"It's, fiNE-" Kyoko said while loosing her balance.
Her friend gasped and tried to grab her but he was too late. Kirigiri fell into the shower. "..ouCH." She straightened her left leg and started rubbing her bottom.
"S-sorry!" Makoto felt even more embarrassed and entered the cabin.
"Don't turn the water off, I'm already wet." Kyoko told in a loud whisper.
"..Okay." He rotated the showerhead so the water would pour on him and sat down next to his college.
Camera room
"Whoa, they're really going for it." The scientist commented after hearing the Ultimate Detective's moan from the dorm's camera.
"Haha! I knew was gonna do it as soon as I leave her head! You could at least bring them some rubber, ya know?" Junko told.
"Do I look like a guy who would have any contraceptives?" He chuckled. "Anyways, if you care about that, I'm assuming you'll let them live."
"You can assume whatever you want, I don't care. Just bring me back to life faster so I can hug my bestie!" Enoshima cheered.
Back to the "lovers".
"It was great acting back there, I really felt it when you called me useless." Naegi smiled.
"I noticed.. It almost screwed up my performance." She replied. "I honestly hoped you would realize that I'm acting."
"Oh um, I- I realized in the last part, obviously." Makoto chuckled nervously.
"..You can rotate the showerhead away you know? They don't see us." Kirigiri pointed out.
"No need. It's nice and warm." He informed.
"Really? When it was pouring on me it was cold." Kyoko told.
"Try it out." Naegi rotated the showerhead to his friend.
"..Yeah, that's way better. I prefer hot showers." She lay her head against the wall with closed eyes.
"Um, d-does your foot still hurt?" Makoto questioned.
"It'll be fine, don't worry.." Kirigiri responded.
"I- I could ask him for- oh no." He said as he saw his college's head bandage fall off. "Yeah, I better go ask him for meds."
Kyoko grabbed her friend's shoulder as he leaned forward to get up. "Thanks but there's no need. The gel already helped with reliving the pain."
"You didn't say it hurt you." Naegi pointed out.
His friend sighed in response. "Sorry, I'll report my medical status to you every ten minutes from now on doc."
"Kiri but-"
"I survived melting hands so I can stand this, trust me." She interrupted. "It's me who should get you painkillers for your hand."
"It's a lot better I don't need-"
Kirigiri grabbed her colleague's shot hand and opened it, which revealed a bloody area in the middle of his palm.
"S-see? It doesn't hurt that much when I move my fingers anymore." He whispered.
"The bandage is worn out, it won't soak more blood. You need a new one" Kyoko told and got up.
"Wait! I'll go with you." Makoto got up as well.
She looked over her shoulder to glance at her friend. "Could you actually stay here and gather duvets from the other dorms?"
"Oh, y-yeah sure." Naegi smiled and took a white towel out of the bathroom cabinet.
Kirigiri headed over to the door to the right of the garage door and knocked on them. She didn't have to wait long for them to open.
"Can I help you?" The roboticist asked ignoring the small puddle forming under his guest.
"We could really use a medkit." Kyoko informed.
"Oh, did something happen?" He questioned.
"My partner needs a new bandage." Kirigiri replied coldly.
"I imagine it must've fallen off by accident." The man smiled and walked away to his bathroom.
When she had the time the Ultimate Detective scanned the scientist's room with her eyes. Surprisingly she didn't see much. It was a comfy place with a pull-out couch, a corner kitchen, and a table with some electronics and papers lying on it.
"Here you go." He came back and handed her over a red box with a white plus sign on it. "It's one of the last normal ones, they're discontinued and replaced with their despairful versions."
Kyoko frowned and went back to her dorm without saying a word.
"Eight should be enough right?" Makoto asked while bringing in the eighth towel.
"Should work." She sat down on the edge of the bed and started browsing the first aid kit.
"Looks promising." Naegi commented and joined his friend.
"There's not much in there but it'll do." Kirigiri said and took out a tiny bottle, small scissors, and a roll of gauze. Afterward, she headed over to the bathroom sink with her former classmate. "Don't wash it here, we don't know the quality of the local water."
"You're right.." He told and slowly unrolled his dressing. "I- I don't even want to look at this." He chuckled slightly and looked away as some blood started dripping onto the sink.
"I got you." Kyoko whispered and sprayed some rubbing alcohol on her friend's wound.
"OWWw-" Makoto sounded and tightly closed his eyes. "Mikan said you shouldn't pour disinfectants on open wounds but clean them with water." He whispered in pain.
"Dirty water would be worse than this." Kirigiri assumed and after cutting some of the gauze she started putting the new bandage on her colleague's hand.
"T-thanks." Naegi said after his friend tied the dressing. "At least you won't be alone in having hand scars." He smiled.
"You're probably the only person on Earth that can find an advantage of having their hand shot." Kyoko grinned slightly and walked out of the bathroom with her former classmate. "Take some." She passed a bottle of painkillers to her colleague after checking that it was sealed and legit.
Makoto took it and swallowed two pills. "I feel better already. We should start drying the clothes now. Oh and I'll go grab you a new duvet. This one's already wet." Before his friend could stop him he already walked out of the room.
After he left, Kirigiri packed and closed the medkit, then lay on the bed with a deep sigh and a small smile.
