(Disclaimer: I do not own A Monster In Paris; just Madeleine.)

(Authors Note: Hello my dearest readers and fellow writers! Thank you all again for taking the time to read this story :) I hope you've been enjoying it so far because I've enjoyed writing it for all of you. Now, this chapter is a bit shorter than the others, but with it being released on Valentines Day (where I live), I made it extra sweet to compensate for its size. Also, I still have plenty of ideas for future chapters, but don't worry, this story is keeping its T rating. That aside, feel free to leave a comment and remember to stay awesome!)

Chapter 11

"Oh Madeleine, you were amazing," Lucille stated as she gave her cousin a warm hug while Francœur clicked and chirped in agreement.

"Thank you. I honestly never would have had the courage to set foot on stage again if it wasn't for you two and Aunt Carlotta."

A smile lined the flea's face at her honesty, to which he suddenly remembered something: reaching into his coat pocket, Francœur pulled out a single red rose and presented it to her.

"For me?"

He chirped and gave a nod as Lucille knowingly smiled and discreetly stepped out of her cousin's dressing room while closing the door behind her so as to give them a moment of privacy.

"Thank you," Madeleine blushed before shyly asking, "..Would you mind bending down a little?"

With a nod, Francœur leaned down to her level, to which she then placed a hand on his shoulder and softly kissed his lips. Her action caused his eyes to widen and his heart to race. She kissed him! Yes, Lucille had also kissed him before, but that was on his cheek and was more of a friendly gesture. But this? This was something else entirely.

With the utmost tenderness and care, he instinctively reached over and gently caressed her cheek before returning her kiss.

*knock, knock, knock*

"Maddie dear, it's just me," Carlotta's voice sounded from the other side, to which both Madeleine and Francœur blushed and smiled at one another before regaining their composure.

"Come in."

Stepping into the dressing room with a cheerful expression lining her face, she approached her niece and gave her a hug. "Oh my sweet little sunflower, you were absolutely wonderful! I'm so proud of you!"

"Thank you Auntie. As I said to Lucille and Monsieur Francœur here, I wouldn't have found the courage to step out on stage again if it wasn't for all of you."

"Well, I'm glad we were able to help you. I just hope you'll consider performing again sometime: the offer is always open should you choose to accept."
