Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Shadows of the Freelancers. Enjoy the 1200-word chapter. I don't own RvB, Rooster Teeth does.

(Project Freelancer Flagship, Mother of Invention Building, Spiral.)

"Remind me why we're fine with this thing running around?" One of them said before looking at the soldier who laid clamped down on the bed in front of them.

"Because capturing an enemy commando lets us know much more about the rebels." The director stated before turning to the side. "Expertly done, Agent Texas. A artifact recovered and a enemy commando captured, this might just a turning point in the war." The director added before he noticed movement in the edges of his glasses.

Agents South Dakota and Carolina shuffled. Their body Language was easily read.

They were mad they had not been praised. But that was not the project he had done was about. They were expected to do their jobs, a pet on the head was not what he cared about.

"Don't do something that you will regret." He heard as he turned and rolled his eyes. "We don't get credit? We had to drag him aboard the pelican and then put the medicine that kept him down. It came down to all of us." He heard stated before he shook his head.

"Agent? The last time I congradulated you?" The director questioned, pushing his glasses up. "You single handily almost ruined the ice rig operation. There is no way that I'd be doing somethat insane like trust another operation to your hands before doing more like that." The director stated before he turned to Agent Texas and the Councilor.

Both were aware of what came next. If this operation worked out well? Then they'd have a soldier that might be capable of working with him when it came down to it. However? The director was quite curious as to how this came down to the devil in the details.

"Director?" He heard as he turned to look around. "There's business that concerns you on the bridge. Our research team is still curious what came next." He stated before he turned to look over his shoulder.

There was a few seconds of pause before he hung his head, unsure of what to say or do. He decided to leave it to the best of his henchmen and soldiers when it comes down to it. The director knew that there was something coming. It was written on the walls when he thought about it. The director left the issue to the others.

"Great, Director's golden girl is busy dealing with the best of the best fo the best." South muttered before she turned to look. "There will be plenty of work when it comes down to it and we have to deal with it slowly. Right now? We have to wait. I hate waiting." South added before she rolled her eyes and turned to leave.

Still? There was a lot of things that South was mad about. It wasn't like she could really have her day when it comes down to it. None of her teammates really supported her on that front anyway.

"Agent Texas?" She heard as she turned to look around. "I assume you know the procedure to deal with an enemy combatant? You were the one to capture him after all." The councilor stated before he turned to look around once more.

"We've met each other before." Tex stated before she started to walk towards the next room.

"We both know that he's familiar with Agent Texas at the moment." Texas heard as she started to turn to the side. "He's already used to her. We should let someone who he doesn't know interrogate him." Texas heard from South to which she crossed her arms over her chest.

Texas said nothing while she rolled her eyes under her armor. She knew herself while she shook her head. There was a massive amount of annoyance in her own mind. She nodded to herself as she started to think how she found how stupid it was.

"Agent Texas was the last soldier that had confronted him at the moment. It wasn't as easy to secure him without Texas's powers." Texas heard from the councilor. "And secondly? If it was so easy to defeat a enemy soldier and capture him? Then why did you not defeat him before?" Texas heard from the councilor as she started to think of how this came down to it.

She didn't know how she could deal with the soldier in the seat. She knew that he was quite stubborn at the moment. He was a very skilled soldier that could do more damage if it came down to it.

She sighed to herself as she started to think when it came down to it. There was a eagerness that he had when it came down to it. They were happy to fight each other at the time whenever they met the other.

There was plenty of work to be done as well. He wouldn't break that easily. Delta also seemed to know that very well.

"Considering Agent Texas was the one to defeat him?" Delta asked to Texas's agreement. "She is the most familiar to his tricks. We didn't capture a regular rebel soldier that was easy to wring information out of. He's a enemy mercenary that has advanced tech and weaponry." Delta stated to which Texas said nothing.

"And? Let's see him handle what one of us messing him up." South put in as Texas sighed. "She not the only person there." South stated to which Texas while she shook his head.

She watched as people ignored her while it happened. Texas wanted to speak up and tell this woman what to do next, but she didn't want to think about South getting her hands while she slowly started to approach William.

'If they want me to talk to him like a soldier? Then I'll talk to him while he's still adjusting to the capture.' Texas added to herself while she started to march forward the chamber where the soldier was held.

She started to think as she entered the chamber. The lights were for and she was still separated by thick bulletproof glass which prevented him from escaping. She was quite eager to see if this soldier was ready to rethink his employment options and had been ready to join Freelancer.

"What do you think will happen next if we don't let him out soon?" Texas asked as her boss appeared once more. "He's not going to want to let me talk to him. He's stubborn at the moment. Trust me." Texas added to which she nodded to herself.

"If it was easy to beat the enemy, Agent Texas?" Texas heard to which she rolled her eyes. "There's plenty of time to end this end." Texas added as she sighed.
