Outside Buckingham Palace, thirty or so minutes later, trumpets began playing "Rule Britannia" and dressed mice began going into the entrance to see the Jubilee.
Inside her bedroom, the Queen of England (for mice) is preparing herself as she hums "Rule Britannia" as well.
Little does she know that just outside her doors, her guards have been ambushed as she was humming and preparing herself, and were then replaced by Ratigan's Thugs. "Psst-over here. Come over here." One of them whispered urgently to the other thugs.
The Queen is soon distracted by the sound of knocking at her door, her humming stopped as she adjusts her crown before answering, "Hmm? Come in."
"Ah, begging your Majesty's pardon. A present has just arrived in honor of your Jubilee." The thug moves aside as Fidget and several others bring the large package inside.
The Queen is delighted, and walks over to inspect it, "A present? Oh, how wonderful! Ah, I just adore Jubilees." At that point, Fidget hands her the attached note and tells her, "Here you are, sweetheart." The Queen eyeing him suspiciously questioned herself to not see the bat eye roll to himself, "Have you… Been with us… Long?"
The Queen soon opens the note and begins reading it to herself aloud, "'To our beloved Queen this gift we send, as her sixty-year reign'…" Her expression and voice twist now into puzzlement at the final line, "'Come to an end'?"
Fidget and the other thugs now pull the ribbons and sides down to reveal an exact robotic replica of The Queen herself as she studies it. "How extraordinary!"
Suddenly, without warning, the robot comes to life and grabs at the Queen as she soon runs as the Robot Queen chases her around the bedroom. "Goodness gracious!"
The robot soon halts after a minute of chasing her, as Ratigan appears at her doorway, with Flaversham operating the controls, and with him still holding onto Morgana, as from what his comrade told him, was around the property of this castle to further his agenda with the ruling. "Amazing likeness, isn't it, Your Majesty?"
The Queen recognized him yet held her tongue at seeing Morgana as she was rather surprised to see her race, here, as she and the Humane Queen of England, secretly worked together and were informed of the secrecy of magic and more, as per rules, and shouted to her guards, "Professor Ratigan! Guards! Seize this despicable creature!"
Fidget snickers, as the so-called guards will only obey Ratigan now.
Ratigan repeats the command back through the speaker, "Guards, seize this…" and in a matching tone, The Robot Queen stated it as well, "Despicable creature!" Ratigan laughs into the speaker, giving The Robot Queen his same cruel laugh.
His thugs now have hold of the True Queen as she struggled while firmly telling him then, and the guards, "How dare you!"
"Take her away!" Ratigan orders his disguised guarded thugs while he rings Felicia's bell. "Let go of me, you ruffians!" The Queen yelled out as she was still struggling with Fidget cackling and telling her then firmly, "Move along, honey!" As they drag the Queen away, Ratigan wipes his handkerchief on the now-silent Robot Queen's cheek. "Traitors!"
Ratigan as The Queen was out of sight, saw Morgana glaring at him and amused, decided to allow her to speak as he was preparing himself for his glorious accession to be the King, as the chain was preventing the child herself from doing anything at all unless he ordered it, "Go ahead and speak Child, as I'm sure you have a lot to get off your chest."
"Why d-did you want to rule over Mouse England in the f-first place?" Morgana asked, seeing him eyeballing her from the mirror by her description, but was rather startled by what he said next, and revealing things as he was adjusting The Queen's Crown on his head, "It's rather simple, My Dear little Chaosarinian… I have been waiting for the right opportunity to try and rule over my race's version of England, as it would take a successful lab experiment or more to even try and rule over the Humane. Most are to upshot the soon-to-be-former Detective Basil, and most are to be in self-satisfaction."
Ratigan paused from getting his cloak before shrugging at seeing the child was startled at knowing her race, "My hidden associate to further make things go smoothly with my current and backup plans told me tales and hidden truths about many races, even yours, My Dear… Despite wanting you for some bizarre reason and allowing me to even use you for Plan Y. I recently acquired something as a last resort," Here the rat showed Morgana the sinister vial that was glowing briefly a purple hue and pocketed it, "In case I should fail, for Plan Z."
Ratigan then placed the royal cloak around his frame and pleasedly inspected himself, and admitted to the child as she realized that he thought he would succeed and was monologuing, "But I rather have doubts that my plan should fail… Fidget should have summoned something from the gemstone I was given to further things along if Basil even makes it out of my traps, to which, has the lowest possibility to live."
Morgana was worried about that before she hid the urge to wince from him, slightly yanking her enchanted chain as the rat professor saw this, and stated in a way he was sure, "You were abused as well? I am rather surprised as a child like you to suffer that way, but… It is the way it is for the development of our character, isn't it? (11)"
Morgana said nothing to that with her trying to not cringe at his hand caressing her face at feeling her smoothed scaled skin she has, before hearing the door knock, she winced this time at the unexpected shout Ratigan stated in annoyance, "What is it?!"
It was Bill the Lizard as he lightly gulped as he entered, and soon pleased the rat by his words, and was also mixed with ire as he inwardly facepalmed himself at the mentioned lackey, "Things are proceeding as plan as I figure we have ten or so minutes to finish setting up, Boss… Though it doesn't help that Fidget is gone with The Queen, and we can't find them."
"He will see to his task." Ratigan firmly told him as Bill hastily nodded in quick agreement as Ratigan adjusted himself and handed him Morgana's chain, "Keep an eye on the Child as I will return to fetch her, as I need to see if things are going to run smoothly hence on." He then left the two alone.
Back at Ratigan's lair, at this time, the record is still playing its lengthy recording, but Basil has still not attempted to free everyone.
Olivia is pushing at the cork, to no avail and Zone-Tan herself was still talking to her Other showing signs of tinting as if something unexpected was said between them.
Record Recording of Ratigan: "Is through so although it hurts... I'll try to smile as I say goodbye~. So soon~ and isn't this…"
"Basil?" Dawson states in a concerned voice as Basil groans to himself, "Basil!" Basil though stated mainly to himself in disappointment and mixed feelings, "Oh, how could I have been so blind?"
"We all make mistakes! But we can't let that stop us! We have to-" Dawson began before he was interrupted by the detective still talking to himself and was ignored, "Ratigan proved he's more clever than I." At that he scoffs before resuming in depression, "He would never have walked into such an obvious trap."
"Oh pull yourself together! You can stop that villain! Why-" Dawson states before suddenly looking over to the record, which is now skipping over Ratigan's recording of the continued "So long", Dawson then continues to try and knock some sense into Basil. "Basil! The record!"
"Oh, it's finally happened! I've been outwitted!" Basil still complains to himself as Dawson still tries to get his attention, "Oh, Basil, please!" Basil ignored him, "Beaten! Duped! Made a fool of!" At this point, Dawson is now getting angry at not being heard, "Oh, ridiculed! Belittled!"
"THAT'S ENOUGH!" The record after Dawson shouted to startle the girls, fixes itself, and the song continues as time is running out.
"Dash it all, Basil! The Queen's in danger, Olivia's counting on us. Morgana's within Ratigan's grasp for whatever sinister purpose, and we're about to be splattered and all you can do is lie there feeling sorry for yourself. Well, I know you can save us, but if you've given up then why don't we set it off now and be done with it?" Dawson states at giving up with the detective as he slumped in place.
Record Recording of Ratigan: "We know by now that time knows how to fly…"
Basil gives a weak chuckle at Dawson and states to himself, "Set it off now." This gives him an idea in moments, "Set it… Off… Now? Ye… Yeah!" Basil then laughed to get Dawson's attention, "Yes! We'll… We'll set the trap off now!" Basil then grins maniacally, but Dawson is horrified that his suggestion was taken.
"Basil! Wait! I didn't mean that we ought-" The song has ended, and the ball is on its way.
Back in his true form, Basil quickly forms a plan. "The angle of the trajectory multiplied by the square root of an isosceles triangle… (Mumbling)... Dividing the Guttermeg's principle of opposing forces in motion (More mumbling) and adjusting for the difference in equilibrium…" At figuring things out in seconds, Basil notifies the doctor then, "Dawson, at the exact moment I tell you, we must release the triggering mechanism!" The ball is getting closer as Dawson is ready, but terrified at what may be suicide. "Get ready, Dawson… Steady…" Dawson can barely muffle his panicked fear. "Now!"
As Dawson yells, they hit the trigger, saved from the metal switch by the ball that was stopped just between their heads.
The vibration loosens one of the pegs, which ricochets towards the gun, causing it to misfire and hit the crossbow, which instead of being aimed at Basil and Dawson, flies towards the ax, cutting off the head. The blade then falls lengthwise, slicing through the ropes and trap, effectively freeing them. The anvil falls seconds later, missing them both.
The force of the anvil hitting the ground rattles Olivia's bottle, loosening the cork and sending her sailing through the air as Zone-Tan watches on.
As Dawson leans heavily against the anvil, Basil sheds his sailor costume and puts his deerstalker cap back on. He puts one arm around Dawson and holds the other out in the air. "Thank you, Dawson," Olivia lands right in Basil's open arm, and he brings the two of them to close. "Smile everyone!" The camera goes off, capturing Basil's brilliant smile, and Olivia and Dawson's stunned expressions.
They looked at Zone-Tan's location with Basil nearly sweat-dropping at forgetting the woman as she made a clunking sound of sorts as best she could to prove a point, "A little help here?"
At the palace, several minutes later, Ratigan's thugs are playing the trumpets to announce the queen's entrance and the crowd is fooled by the Robot Queen as it steps out to address them.
"On this most august occasion, we are gathered here not only to commemorate my sixty years as Queen but to honor one…" Ratigan watches from behind the curtains with the voice being Mr. Flaversham. A rifle is pointed at his back as one of the thugs is holding the notecards for Flaversham to read. "Of truly noble... Stature! I present to you a statesman among mice, a gifted leader…" "A crusader for justice, freedom, and truth…" Although The Queen was still muffled-crying and was being dragged to the balcony by Fidget.
"Over here, fatty. You're a ton, toots." The Queen's eyes widen as she sees Felicia jumping up and down outside, eager for a snack fit for a queen. "Here kitty, kitty. Time for mouse chow."
Back with the Robot Queen, she was still addressing the mice, "A majestic mountain of humility, and my new Royal Consort… Professor Ratigan!"
At the announcement, Ratigan bursts out, wearing The Queen's Crown and a purple robe decorated with medals as Bill the Lizard was alone and watching over Morgana at the zeppelin, and the crowd gasps in horror.
A random mouse child blows a raspberry at him, and his mother quickly covers his mouth.
Outside at this time, Basil, Olivia, Dawson, and Zone-Tan are now back at the waterfront as Basil whistles and Toby comes running.
"Toby!" He called out as Toby kissed Olivia. "The game's afoot, Toby. Our Queen is in mortal danger!" Toby puts his game face on, and his ear makes a whip sound as he folds it into a staircase. Basil and the others climb onto his neck, and Basil points ahead. "To Buckingham Palace!"
Barking, Toby rushes ahead and Zone-Tan has a dreaded feeling of something unexpected about to occur but didn't know what as she held on due to how weak she felt from the chain removal of the dog's fur.
Back at the Palace and a few minutes to let the information sync in, Ratigan gives an exaggerated bow to the Robot Queen.
"Thank you, Your Majesty. And now, as your new Royal Consort, I have a few… Slight suggestions." He quickly pulls out a roll of paper and lets it fall, where it still rolls down the aisle of the Grand Hall and well past the curtain, where one of his men has opened it for him. "Ahem. Item One."
Meanwhile, Fidget is grunting as he carries The Queen on his back, who is kicking him and is heavy for the one-legged bat. "Stop that!" He grunted out.
Fidget eventually made it to the edge of the balcony, where Felicia is sitting below, waiting patiently.
Toby, by sheer speed for a puppy, has made it to the palace and holds his nose to a ledge, where Basil, Olivia, and Dawson race in through a mouse hole as Zone-Tan shook her head and decided to go a scenic route as she jumped with whatever strength she has, and landed on an open balcony she knew was The Mouse Queen's chambers and began looking to cover more ground.
Fidget, back to him, now has The Queen held high over his head, and Felicia's jaws are open and strained out then, "Nuts… Open wide. Bye-Bye!" Basil and the others race down the hallway just as Fidget is about to throw the Queen over, Basil grabs her.
Fidget falls, and attempts to fly away from Felicia, who is unintentionally attempting to eat him instead of the Queen and manages to cling to the edge of the balcony, and is trying to avoid Felicia's jaws. "Down, down, kitty! Down!"
The sound of barking distracts Felicia, and she turns to see Toby running straight for her as she screeches, and runs as fast as she can, with Toby close behind.
Inside the Great Hall, several minutes later, Ratigan is continuing down his list of tyrannical laws. "Item Ninety-Six…" Ratigan then snickers to himself before resuming, "A heavy tax shall be levied against all parasites and sponges… Such as the elderly, the infirm, and especially," he snickers again, "And little children." Ratigan leans upside down over the railing to sneer at the boy from before. He looks at the rat defiantly before his mother whisks him away.
An old man with a cast and crutch approaches him angrily. "That's ridiculous. You're insane."
Ratigan shrugged and told him, eyes filled with minor anger, "Perhaps I haven't made myself clear." He takes the crutch from the man, who falls to the ground, triumphantly. "I have the power!" He breaks the crutch in half to accent this.
"Of course you do." The Robot Queen states as Ratigan jumps on the banister, his ego coming through, "I am supreme." "Only you." "This is MY kingdom!" He then laughs evilly as the crowd cowers under his shadow as in the backroom; however, Basil has found Mr. Flaversham and the rest of Ratigan's men.
Ratigan stops laughing and clears his throat, and sits on the banister to address the Robot Queen. "That is, of course, with your Highness' permission."
The Robot Queen doesn't respond. Ratigan gives it a light slap, making it spring back to life. "Most assuredly…" However, its expression and voice suddenly change, "You insidious fiend!" Ratigan, shocked, can only let out the word 'What' in bafflement as the Robot Queen continues, "You're not my Royal Consort!"
Ratigan quickly covers the Robot Queen's mouth and addresses the crowd, "What a sense of humor." The Robot Queen, although, ducks down to free itself, "You're a cheap fraud and impostor." Ratigan at this point, yells to the back the last name, "Flaversham!"
As Ratigan smiles nervously at the crowd, behind the curtain, it is now Basil at the controls.
Olivia and Flaversham soon embrace as Dawson holds a rope around Ratigan's thugs and The Queen has her rope around Fidget and gives it a tight tug to make him wheeze.
Basil then spoke through the device then, using the controls, "A corrupt, vicious, demented, low-life scoundrel. There's no evil scheme you wouldn't concoct!" Basil jerks at the controls, causing the robot's head to fly up and spin, biting Ratigan's nose. He forces the head back down, but both arms spring out, hitting him in the stomach. Ratigan moves in front of the robot, hiding it from the crowd's eyes, but they're not buying his scheme anymore.
The Robot Queen then pushes past Ratigan, "No depravity you wouldn't commit!" Ratigan tries to force his weight on the robot, but it springs upward, bringing him up with it, then letting him fall.
Basil jerks even harder on the controls, "You, Professor-'' Outside, the robot is falling apart until little remains but a pile of scrap metal and a pair of eyes and a set of teeth on a spring and spoke through Basil's words, "Are none other than a foul stenchus rodentus, commonly known as a..!" Ratigan's temper flares as he seizes what's left of the robot by the neck, knowing what's next. "DON'T SAY IT!"
Basil bursts from behind the curtain and points at his nemesis. "SEWER RAT!"
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Ratigan yells in being reminded of his past as Basil points to him and states loudly, "Arrest that fiend!"
Basil, Dawson, Flaversham, and The Queen tackle Ratigan as several other mice rush forward to help.
Other mice are fighting off the rest of Ratigan's men.
Olivia watches from behind the curtain, not noticing that Fidget has managed to free himself from his ropes.
Meanwhile outside, Felicia is still running from Toby as darts through bushes and flower beds and scrambles up a wall, where Toby can only leap up halfway and bark at her. Felicia snickers and lifts her chin at him.
She turns, lifting her tail, and making a show of leaping down the other side.
Seconds later, she gives another terrified screech as several more dogs can be heard barking and growling. Felicia's ribbon and fur flies as to reveal she jumped right into the Royal Guard Dogs' Kennel.
Back inside, Ratigan throws his attackers away and sheds his robe as Fidget whistles at him from a high balcony, holding Olivia. "The girl! The girl!"
Hiram turns, horrified as Ratigan jumps from mouse to mouse, and grabs a rope to swing himself to the balcony.
Basil, Dawson, and Mr. Flaversham rush forward, only to freeze as Ratigan holds Olivia threateningly over the edge. "Stay where you are or both girls die!" He disappears behind the curtain, taking Olivia with him to realize that Morgana was still alive as well.
"Hurry, Dawson!" Basil states as he leads Dawson and Mr. Flaversham outside, then spots Ratigan's dirigible and hints of Morgana's tail could be shown with Bill the Lizard being thrown out of the fleeing blimp, and thankfully landed into some hay near a horse stable… To only get sucked into a rainbow vortex after. "There he goes!" He climbs up a flagpole and shouts down, "Dawson! Flaversham! Gather up those balloons."
Over a dozen balloons are seen to be tied to the palace gate as Dawson and Flaversham move to take them, Basil begins to lower the Union Jack flag.
A storm is approaching as Fidget pedals the dirigible and Ratigan steers as Morgana was struggling against the chain as time went, as the rat made it to where she was soon to be vulnerable to what his comrade wanted, and decided to girls would be worth it for his insurance to victory.
Olivia is then bravely standing up to the villain, and with Morgana gazing at her in being proud of her friend, "Just wait! Basil's smarter than you! He's going to put you in jail." She tugs on Ratigan's tail to accent her next few insults. "He's not afraid of a big, old, ugly, rat like you!"
Ratigan, being much stronger, easily takes his tail back. "Would you kindly sit down and SHUT UP?!" Ratigan's yell sends Olivia flying back, knocking her over a stool and into the edges of the wall the blimp has.
Ratigan turns and sees the British Flag flying in front of him, blocking his path, and Fidget cowers as it moves higher.
Basil has taken the flag, the balloons, and a sliding matchbox for him, Dawson, and Flaversham to fly in as down below, Zone-Tan was cursing to herself as she sped on the ground and doing acrobatics to keep up, and Ratigan sneers and turns the dirigible as Fidget begins to pedal faster.
"Let her go, chaps!" Basil commands as Dawson and Flaversham release air from an open balloon, closing the distance between them and Ratigan easily.
Ratigan leads them around roofs and chimneys, up and around a statue of Lord Nelson, and straight ahead towards the Tower Bridge.
Fidget pedals as fast as he can as Ratigan steers the dirigible just below the bridge.
Dawson braces himself for a crash, but at the last moment, they move downward, just missing it.
Up ahead, Fidget stops pedaling, out of breath and exhausted as Ratigan glares at his assistant as the bat hops inside and gestures towards Olivia and Morgana, "We have to lighten the load."
"Oh, you want to lighten the load? Excellent idea!" Fidget snickers at the two girls, but Ratigan seizes him by the ears and tosses him over instead.
Fidget is then desperately fluttering around, "No! Not me! I can't fly! I can't FLYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!" Fidget falls to a watery death in the Thames River before the same vortex sucked him into it as he was on his last breath.
Ratigan soon hops on the propeller and moves forward, speeding up the dirigible again.
However, Basil and the others have finally caught up, and the detective is preparing to jump, and Olivia holding onto Morgana as the Young Chaosarinian herself felt light-headed as with each sharp movement, she felt weaker and weaker.
"Steady!" Basil states as he catches the tail of the aircraft, swinging forward.
Ratigan ducks as Basil's feet just miss him and the two adversaries glare at each other until a terrified scream comes from Olivia with Morgana holding her.
With Ratigan at the pedal, there is no one to steer, and he turns to see he's heading directly for Big Ben! And... CRASH! On the mouse-made hot air balloon, all Dawson and Mr. Flaversham can do is stare at the empty dirigible hanging from the hole, and pray that their friends are alright, as thunder rolls in the distance, Zone-Tan briefly clutches her heart and decided to take the obvious approach, and began speed-climbing with her hands being red claws in moments to get to them as fast as she could, and didn't hear a stealthy wing-like flap as the entity Fidget did summon, bided its time.
Inside the clock tower, Basil soon awakens and rubs his neck, then stares in shock and amazement at the gears and cogs surrounding him and saw up above, Morgana was limp and passed out as the chain was broken and scattered randomly around the clock tower in dusty fragments as unseen by them, a white-cloaked figure vanished after that.
Creeping up unnoticed behind him is Ratigan, his left fist poised, ready to knock Basil down, while the other hand is clamped over Olivia's mouth. The little girl struggles and finally pulls Ratigan's hand off her. "Basil, look out!"
Basil turns as Ratigan knocks him down. Basil rolls and catches the ends of the rotating gear, trying to pull himself back up as Ratigan prepares to deliver another blow.
Olivia bites his hand, making Ratigan scream in pain, allowing Basil to climb up the gear and seize the professor's cape, and tangle it between two gears.
Ratigan drops Olivia to hold onto his cape to keep from getting strangled but succeeds in kicking her off the gear. She falls, landing on a much larger gear, connected to another one that will crush her in a matter of seconds.
Thinking quickly, Basil jumps from the gear and onto a lever, which lifts a chain towards her. The final keg is approaching Olivia as Basil gets closer. She tries to flatten herself against the gear as Basil reaches his hand up. Basil seizes her arm just as the gears connect, and the two smile at each other as the chain continues to lift them to the top of the tower.
Down below, Ratigan's face is filled with anger. As he watches the pair make their escape, his sanity snaps, and with a burst of strength, he tears his cape in half, freeing himself.
Basil and Olivia stop at the hole at the top of the tower, trapped as the storm outside gains power.
Inside, Ratigan is completely consumed by hatred. Gone is the egotistical gentleman as in his place is a terrifyingly dangerous monster.
He runs through and around the many gears, his clothes becoming torn and ragged as outside, Olivia is tugging on Basil's coat and pointing to Dawson and her father, who is approaching as Basil nabbed Morgana beforehand and easily carried the two as Morgana was laying down still, passed out.
Ratigan, however, is getting closer and Basil realizes this, and lifts Olivia into his arms, holding her up, as it begins to rain.
Dawson is holding Mr. Flaversham by his apron as the toymaker is leaning forward as far as he can, trying to reach Olivia. "Closer, Dawson! Closer!"
Ratigan leaps onto the striking hammer, nearly falling, but scrambles up and leaps forward.
Basil is still trying to lift Olivia as high as he can, but Olivia and Flaversham can't quite make it. "Daddy, I can't reach you! I can't reach you!"
Basil turns just in time to see Ratigan leap forward to tackle him, his deerstalker cap flying off. He grunts as Ratigan catches him midsection and the two topple downward with Morgana's left-wing acting on its own and having a firm hold onto Basil's tail, was with him as he fell.
Olivia is tossed into the air, and caught by her father who pulls her to safety. They hug, but down below Ratigan is still holding onto Basil.
He tries to grasp the top of the tower as Morgana's body lands in the center with a soft thud after letting go, but between the rain and Ratigan's weight, he can't get a good grip. They separate as they fall down the face of the clock. Midfall, Ratigan grabs Basil again, and they hit the hour hand where Morgana fell on. Basil is sent flying across and lands, his upper body laying over the edge.
His vision blurred for only a second, he moved back, visibly terrified by how high up he was.
Ratigan is nowhere in sight as Dawson calls out to him, approaching the edge of the hand. The thunderstorm is meanwhile shown to be very intense, "Basil! Over here!"
Basil looks relieved but is barely able to take a single step towards his friends and retrieve Morgana when Ratigan attacks him from behind, lifting him with one arm.
Basil manages to wriggle free and runs up towards the edge, but with frightening speed and agility, Ratigan is there, blocking his path. "There's no escape this time, Basil!"
Basil slides down the hand and tries to put distance between himself and the raging rat, but he is there once more, blocking him.
As they struggled with each other, Morgana groaned as she began waking up, blinked, and then gasped while instantly clinging onto the immense clock hand itself in surprise, and turned to watch the duo feud over each other.
Ratigan holds out his hand and unsheathes his razor-sharp claws, and hits Basil twice with such force it sends him flying back.
His friends are trying to reach him as fast as they can, but Basil can't hold out much longer, and Morgana was looking determined then as she struggled to get up those within her were cheering her on, and trying to get over to the two without trying to trip herself and with her wings acting as a counterweight.
Before Basil can even stand, Ratigan, hits him again, this time in the face. Finally, he had drawn blood.
Basil stumbled back, his hands covering a gash across his muzzle. A hard swipe across the chest knocked him off his feet.
Gnashing his teeth, Ratigan swung downward as Basil turned his back on him to try and stand up. The black claws truly met their mark this time, slicing into the flesh of Basil's back and sending pieces of fur and cloth flying. Basil cried out, falling to his knees.
The next heavy blow smacked him to the very tip of the hour's hand. He scrambled away from the edge and staggered up again, clutching his bleeding arm in pain.
Ratigan was upon him in a moment, still too rage-blind to recognize that Basil was on the verge of collapse. This was too profoundly satisfying to quit now.
With yet another brutal smack to the throat, the battered mouse was flung up in the air and over the edge, where he just managed to grab hold.
Ratigan snarled with savage frustration. He looked down, surveying the drop. It was a good seventy or eighty meters to the ground before Basil was soon staring up at him with huge, terrified eyes, his tattered jacket blowing in the gusts. Basil almost let go at the sight during the moment, and Morgana approached slowly behind the rat.
Ratigan's bulging yellow eyes and enormous teeth were just above him, and his head appeared small in front of the massive shoulders and shaggy muscled chest. His breath hissed noisily through his teeth as he raised a bloody hand high over his head.
The Westminster chimes begin to sound, and Basil looks up at the clock tower face to see that it is 9:58 PM. Lightning soon strikes as Ratigan rears back. Basil braces himself, but Ratigan's blow sends him down.
Dawson and Olivia both try to grab for him, but miss. They stare in disbelief as their friend plummets to the ground.
Ratigan himself almost doesn't believe it, but a cruel smile spreads across his face as he leaps up and laughs maniacally. "I WON!"
However, his victory is cut short when he yelled in utter pain from Morgana slicing his tail off as it fell from using Xal'atath, and made the rat glare as he turned around and was about to engage her before he heard nearby a voice he thought he ended, "On the contrary!" Basil has managed to catch the propeller of the ruined dirigible, as well as something else of value from Ratigan. "The game's not over yet!" He then rings Felicia's Bell.
Ratigan, now sane, checks his empty pocket for his missing bell just before 10:00 PM strikes, and Big Ben's signature bell rings loudly.
The vibrations cause Ratigan to lose his balance and he teeters over the edge and falls, and Morgana caught herself in time and left a minor dent with her hands firmly gripping the metal as Xal'atath dismissed herself as the rat makes one final grab at Basil, catching him by his jacket.
The ropes snap under the extra weight as Ratigan falls and Basil clings to the propeller, which has snapped free.
Olivia, Dawson, and Mr. Flaversham are helpless as both Ratigan and Basil, screaming, disappear below the clouds.
The three watch for a bit as the only sounds heard is the wind and Big Ben chiming. Then Olivia turns to her father and begins to sob.
A squeaking noise is approaching from below, and she leans back to look down. Basil is slowly making his way back up, pedaling with all his might as the propeller is lifting him higher. He hears his friends cheering and smiles, knowing he's safe and that Ratigan has been defeated.
"Ho-ho! Hooray!" Dawson cheered out as Olivia cheered as well, "Hooray! Basil!" She hugs Dawson as Flaversham jumps up and down. "Good fellow. Jolly good! Ha!"
The storm is over and the moon comes out as our four friends are finally together and safe, and Morgana had her eyes shut as she knew it was over, but being this high up without knowing to truly fly except for a spell, her being weak right now- "Hey, let go Squirt, I gotcha." Morgana opens her eyes and is perplexed as she sees Zone-Tan was upside down and was bent over to where she was under the hand.
Before she could ask, Zone-Tan hoisted herself up and with flexibility, grabbed her gently and leveled them out as the bells finished tolling.
"Easy there," Zone-Tan states as Basil began flying over to them with him soon steering the flying book, balloon, and flag combo, before they all stiffened as they heard a loud and angry yell down below- "Look out!" Morgana tells Zone-Tan and the others as she managed to use the last of what strength she had to shove the Demoness away, to her shock, a massive clawed hand nabbed her.
It was a hand that Basil was horrified at recognizing as it revealed that Ratigan was changed as the rat chuckled and tossed the vial away, and in unlucky chances, landed on top of a salesman who was carrying his latest stock of cabbage and began ranting about it.
Ratigan was now thrice his size as he firmly held onto Morgana and with his features looking even more twisted and demonic-looking, and he was still a rat, but a combo to a reptile as well as his wings were formerly his cape and were half his size, and the tail regrew to only have a bulbous scorpion's stinger at the end.
"Seems the bloke was right… I feel powerful enough to finally end you all!" Ratigan states in his voice, but deeper, and with Zone-Tan not comprehending as to why Morgana did as she has done, and they watched as he brought out the hand Morgana was in and a bubble-like barrier was produced and stated wickedly as he began to take off with her, "Catch me if you can, Basil! Otherwise, this girl does die as Plan Z is in motion!"
Basil breaks Zone-Tan's rage she was developing for unexpected reasons and blinked as she and Basil quickly got into the handcrafted ride and was soon baffled as she soon placed her hands on the book, and they were glowing before she shouted as they did do so after, and glaring at the direction Ratigan took off with Morgana, "Better hang on to something!"
The entire craft was soon covered in a purplish and red aura and was then zooming far faster than before to try and pursue the altered rat.
With Morgana, she was struggling not to cry out from the pain Ratigan was inflicting as he easily flew throughout London and knew he was being pursued by Basil and the others, and chuckled as to Morgana's unexpected shock, he summoned bat-like entities with hooks at the bottom of their webbed feet and with most being armored, at her allies behind them, constantly, from the darkness he was emitting from his wings.
Zone-Tan narrowed her orbs at seeing the entities and told them firmly as Basil quickly did so, in urgency, as the numbers were close to a hundred or so, and counting, "Go into my pockets and get an orb that states, Infinity, on it!" And indeed he nabbed an orb that was blood-red like it was freshly drawn, and the infinity sigil was within the orb in a golden loop.
"Now what?" Basil asked loudly with him seeing Dawson and Hiram widening their eyes as the army Ratigan summoned, was close to a thousand now and they were now moving to them in haste, and he held back surprise once again as Zone-Tan said something in an ancient tongue, and Basil nearly dropped it when a female voice came out, "Yes… What is it?"
"I know that I am the last person to be contacting right now due to the mood you got into recently, My Lady, but both me and Mary are in a situation right now," Zone-Tan grunted out as she hastily was using all she can to not only keep up with the mutated rat professor but also a barrier to prevent entry for those unusual bats.
It was pure silence on the one person that Zone-Tan knew wouldn't let Morgana be harmed at all and winced from her energy slowly being zapped with the repeated blows on her purplish-red mixed barrier, as the orb simply glowed before a laser shot from it outwards as a vortex opened up nearby, and to startle Zone-Tan, it was something she didn't at all expect to see at all again, until she was freed.
It was Ziana, as her humanoid self, but with demonic webbed wings behind her back, and with her animal form's ears and tail, sharp teeth, and dark-green sclera with her eyes as is.
If I may pause this once more to explain why she was here.
Ziana, Leona, and Constetta were eventually found a few weeks after Arendelle was saved and was soon captured by a dark entity that controlled a legion of rogue demons, and was going to force the trio to work on taking over a world before his former master decided to do so, early, until Ophis herself unexpectedly prevented this and made the demons and the entity leave by forced means.
The Nothing Drake was at the time, simply finding a perfect location to set up a surprise for Morgana, but the reason she mainly interfered… The person sliced a few pieces of her hair.
And thus, everyone, the trio was under a life debt to her and in turn, forced all three to an experimental chess set she calmly told them as per the deal, would alter them, but as they are, and would serve her unless she dismissed them for all eternity or more. The reason for the set, however, was that they were poisoned by the entity for refusing his deal, and made things worse for Constetta.
So once the two shifters accepted theirs with Constetta being last, their duo's animal forms fused with their mortal, making them unique yokai, of sorts, and Constetta was too changed but not something she agreed with.
And to involve Zone-Tan in all of this, she knew them well in the past along with Yidhian, and let's say… It was a complicated past.
Anyways, let's get back, shall we?
Ziana did notice Zone-Tan, but she has mainly focused on the massive army ahead of them, and wordlessly began maneuvering easily within and slashing and hacking with her blade, and sending miasma-like green blasts of energy to further aid her process with seeing this, the Demoness proceeded to resume catching up to the empowered rat professor.
After a speedy flight, they were at the outskirts of London and saw the mutated rat was heading to it with Zone-Tan gazing at the mice firmly as she prepared to jump, "Take this balloon and head back to your dwelling, Basil. I will try and handle that rat."
Basil was about to interject this yet gazed at the wary and exhausting forms of the others, and reluctantly nodded before blinking as he gave her a look filled with things she hasn't seen in a long time while also smirking at her, "Send my regards to that sewer rat, as this is the final game I have to pass onto someone else."
Zone-Tan nodded before she saw she wore tattered clothing of the dress she shifted into and closed her eyes as the mice closed their eyes from the unexpected flash as she again wore her outfit, but it was slightly better.
Her improved outfit was somewhat the same as she wore a purple off-the-shoulder long sleeve tunic top that was now elasticized around the wrists and neck and also ruffled at the bottom, pulled up high enough to not show her purple cotton panties. Her top still has an odd skull-like insignia on the front yet holds Morgana's Magical Family Crest in the right eyeball and with a miniature version of it as a clip within the right side of her hair. She also had dark latex hip-high stockings and black flat-heeled latex go-go boots with frontal zippers. She also had a belt loop within her pants that held a few strap bags in darker purple color, and with silver buttons based on the skull itself.
She smirked at their looks as she turned around and gave a motion with a finger salute as she purposefully fell backward before eventually flipping in a three-sixty degree angle as she landed without harm to herself before taking off to where she somehow sensed where the rat was going to be.
With Morgana, she had her arms crossed now in the rat's hole as the mutated rat refused to let her go, as he chuckled at his spot of the area with ease, and told her then with his voice as is, but normalized, "My comrade should be arriving shortly, so that I may return and finish Basil with my newfound power."
Seeing her angry pout within his hands, he merely chuckled before turning like she was to a vortex that she paled, as it was close to being the same one those possessed toy soldiers tried to take her into as an armored female came out with another cloaked man.
The man was what made her wary, and not the female, as her knightley yet futuristic armor was close to being draconian built with the helm representing red-eyes black dragon with amber gemmed orbs, and silver fangs with seeing a black screen visor blocking her face entirely.
The man was fully cloaked in a brown turbin of sorts to what a specific creature would wear in another world and was hunched.
"Where is that man?" Ratigan questioned the duo to which Morgana stiffened by the chuckle of the cloaked male as he shrugged for a moment and admitted in a voice she thought was familiar, "He had other matters to attend to as he sent us in his place to settle affairs…" Morgana gulped when they turned to her as he stated in a pleased tone, "It seems your agreement is a surprising success, despite you being as you are now."
"Drastic measures, I assure you both," Ratigan informed them as he placed Morgana on the ground and flicked her head on purpose to make her rub it, before she was without warning, tied into glowing crimson bindings that even covered her mouth as she fell into the ground, by the armored female.
"Indeed…" the cloaked man tells the rat before they could leave with Morgana struggling in place, an unexpected ball of a crimson and purple miasma of energy was sent right at them, to which it struck Ratigan and made him yell as if he had a gaping hole in one of his wings and glared at seeing it was Zone-Tan with demonic-crimson eyes that shifted back to her true ones, and charged at them… Only to be repelled by a barrier from the armored female.
It was then the female summoned a dragon-based and jagged blade that she and Zone-Tan were soon fighting with as Ziana just arrived and Ratigan blocked her with his claws from his hands and those two began to fight as well.
It was the sounds of weapons against weapons and claws as Morgana struggled in vain to only amuse the man as he observed the four fightings, and didn't flinch unlike Morgana did as she resumed struggling from Ratigan getting a large tear in his other wing to prevent him to fly while Zone-Tan kept clashing with her weapon against the other female's.
"I would already take you to where it is required, Child… But in honesty, I would like to see the outcome of this battlefield." The man confessed with her noting an amber glint under it, as Zone-Tan grunted from being kicked into the gut and aware from the opposing female, and being sent right into Ziana as both the mutated rat that had slash marks and cuts and holes in his webbed wings, and the armored female, glanced at each other before she dismisses her weapon, and hopped right over to the man as she easily picked up Morgana.
"Zone-Sama," began Ziana to the demoness as they both held their guard up seeing not only Ratigan giving off a dark aura around his frame and getting ready to strike, but saw the duo getting ready to leave with Morgana, "I will hold off and defeat this monstrosity, as you need to go after The Child."
Zone-Tan was about to object yet sighed as she gave a quick nod, and Ziana distracted the mutated rat by an energy orb from her hand she sent at the rat's face and took off with him being enraged, went after her as the demoness managed to easily enter the vortex before it closed up.
She was still then free-flying within a low gravity voided tunnel as she used her power to give her a boost in speed as she began to catch up with the trio, and seeing this with Morgana looking hopeful, got a nod from the armored female from the man by his firm order, "Deal with the pest while I make a stop somewhere."
The female zoomed behind the man as he turned right while still holding onto Morgana and fled into an exiting vortex, just as Zone-Tan and the female collided with each other with blades drawn with a minor echo with each hit of their weapons.
Zone-Tan knew she could go full out within this strange passage but she didn't want to go into that mode unless she had to as she managed to dodge and sent purplish orbs of chaotic energy similarly to a Shadowball back at the female several times to which she maneuvered herself with ease and even did a loop around the final one before sending bolts of black lightning from her weapon back, and the demoness managed to maneuver the attack as well.
It was a never-ending struggle between the two with also them dodging at times, random blasts of void energy from their attacks until Zone-Tan after nearly close to an hour of feeling, managed to send an energy slash made of crimson energy at the female to shock her, and sent her to a vortex that appeared due to this as it closed up once she went in.
Zone-Tan panted before shaking her head and narrowing her orbs and began searching for something or anything that will lead to Morgana.
