Author's Note:

Hello everyone!

What's it been, like 4 years? 5 since I last did anything? I bet ya'll thought I was dead, huh? I don't blame you.

Yeah, it's been a while and just like hundreds of other creators on here, shit happens. Life happens. I'll admit, it's been havoc. Covid, Depression, Work, now bills are piling up and the risk of being homeless is always around the corner. Guess I thought it was time to come back to this, an old hobby that actually let me relax. It's been so long however that all the information I saved for my old projects were lost. My memory is shot, I have no drive to continue them after re-reading them and feeling like I could've done better. Somehow.

So I'll start anew. Not sure how far I'll get with this hobby again, but it's definitely something I'll try to pick back up again. I just hope I'll have more moral support.

Anywho, so as you can see here, this is a brand new project. Imma be honest, I don't know how far I'll take this story, but I believe I can pull it off. Unlike my other stories, I took time to plan this. Weeks of thinking, bouncing off ideas with friends. And MHA is kinda the universe that anything can really happen, so I wanted to give it a shot at least.

For a better summary, this story will follow a good chunk of the canon along with characters I made. There will be Dark Themes AND Character Death, with sexual themes. (Not sure if I'm going to change that later.) But my story will be based on my protagonist.

I hope you all enjoy.

"STAAAAAAAART!" The teacher boomed from the top of his tower.

And they were off.

The trials had begun and the teens did not hesitate for a moment to rush through those gates.

Almost immediately, the large group of superpowered teenagers were greeted by an army of robotic creations. As soon as the sunlight bounced off the red of their optics, the mayhem began and quirks were being thrown around at the drop of a hat.

One robot was punched clean through by a large bulky teen made of rocks.

Another was caved in by a girl with glowing eyes, her telekinesis crushing the 2-Pointer like it was aluminum.

People steered clear as a boy covered in lava performed a dolphin dive on top of a 3-Pointer and melted through both it and the ground beneath it.

On top of the tower, the announcer watched the chaos from the safety of his tower. As he watched through a set of binoculars, he smiled and tapped the electric bud in his left ear. "They're swarming those things like a pack of wolves at a buffet!" Present Mic laughed as he watched a blonde was popping off with his own explosions, jumping and blowing up target to target without a missed beat. "What do you guys think?"

In a separate darkened room, a group of adults watched the trials through a set of a dozen screens. A larger monitor kept tally of the nominees' points, but the teachers still took notes whenever they noticed something of value from each student.

"Hm..." In the front, seated in an elevated chair made specifically for him, a rodent smiled as he hummed to himself. "This generation sure does have a lot of flashy quirks this time around." Nezu clapped his paws together. His eyes were glued to a screen. There was a blue haired girl who, visibly, was struggling to take down a 3-Pointer using blasts of water coming from her hands. Then in a blink of an eye, her target was stolen by a dark haired boy who punched the air and sent shockwaves that tore the machine to shred. "Alas, it's a shame that we can't accept everyone. But they can always try again next year."

"You of all people know the quirk doesn't make the hero, Nezu." A tired voice next to him spoke out. Equally tired eyes inspected the screens with a tactical eye and Aizawa scowled. "They're treating this like a game with no consequence. Taking each other's targets to build their own points, never pausing to think that a hero school would follow a set of points relating to Targets, Teamwork, and Rescue."

A female voice behind him sighed. "They're kids, Shota." Midnight sighed in disbelief. The heroine slapped a hand over her forehead and pointed to the screens. "They woke up today wanting to prove themselves capable of being accepted into UA. So of course they're going to bull-rush into this without second thoughts. They haven't even scratched the surface of what heroes have to go through to get to where we are now."

"I'm with Midnight on this one, Aizawa. These battle trials are only to give everyone a chance-" The deeper voice of All Might added. The underground hero was quick to set a sharp side glance at the Number 1. The deflated symbol of peace coughed before continuing. "H-However, it is our job as teachers to evaluate each student and guide them properly, should they get accepted." He smiled as he tried setting a clear ground between them. Out of the corner of his eye, he kept track of a specific green haired boy rushing through the street like a headless chicken.

Because the footage didn't include sound, as to not overlap each other, nobody heard the boy's startled scream as a bunch of robots dropped to the ground next to him and exploded.

"Indeed. Stop being such a grump, Shota-san." Nezu chirped with a peppy chuckle on his end.

Aizawa scoffed before he turned his attention back on the screen.

A minute of silence went by before Mic spoke up through the comms. "Oooh, this one definitely shows some promise."

The teachers perked up at that. "Which one are you talking about?" Snipe piped up.

"Nominee ... Sector 4, on Komodo St. He's standing on top of the second tallest building. Keep a camera on him and a view at the ground too."

"Found him." Cementoss was quick to cycle through the feeds. The rest of the teachers looked closer as one of their drones pinpointed the nominee in question.

Standing on top of a red building was a pale skin, white haired teenager wearing a simple black tank-top with a pair of grey sweatpants. The drone hummed as it's optic zoomed in on his face. The teen had loose hair hanging over a pair of tired and thin, but alert golden eyes. He was grinning to himself as he snapped his fingers. The teachers in the room watched as the secondary screen focused on the ground, showing a group of 5 robots cornered by a group of other nominees. Before the other soon-to-be students could do anything, gold sparks erupted beneath each of the robots and seemed to tear through the ground in a shape of a circle.

All simultaneously, each robot fell through a newly made golden wormhole and the students watched in a union of frustration and confusion when the holes closed; each of their points taken away from them.

"Holy shit..." Someone in the room murmured as they watched the teen laugh to himself as the same 5 golden sparks tear into existence right in front of him. Without a moment's hesitation, the group of robots dropped out and locked on to Nominee 257. However they weren't placed over solid ground and the nominee waved a mock goodbye as he watched his targets drop to the streets below and explode in sparks and shrapnel.

Beep, Beep!

All Might watched the boy's points shoot up an instant 14 points. The blonde blinked in astonishment. "A warp-type quirk?"

Aizawa, the only one in the room not visibly amazed by the display, pulled up the file on the nominee in question. The tired hero scanned over the information. "Nobu, Shinra. 16. Quirk: Spatial Rend. Records say he's capable of creating rifts in space that allow him to see and walk through a tear anywhere he can think of. Apparently it says doesn't have a known distance limit, but needs to see where he wants to go and around him to properly utilize his ability. " The black haired man squinted at the documents and grumbled. "... Wonderful."

"Is something wrong?" Nezu inquired.

Aizawa sighed as he placed the documents down. "His school records say he gets into fights. A lot."

"A bully?" Midnight asked with a small smile. It was a bad look for a prestigious hero school to accept harassment, but 8-out-of-10 students usually are reformed by their second year.

She licked her lips.

If they accepted him, she would have fun with him.

Molding him into an ideal hero, of course.

"No. His past teachers wrote down that he's never instigated fights or attack first, but never backs down to anyone unless they prove they're strong enough to be worth," The scruffy man pinched the bridge of his nose. He had read everything. "And they quote, 'What little respect he has for anyone around him'." He could see the potential of training a gifted student with a warp quirk, but the fighting attitude he'd have to deal with was going to give him migraines. He just knew it.

"Young Shinra can't be that bad, Aizawa." All Might gave the nominee a positive outlook. "A majority of children get into fights to see who's quirk is better."

"Says here that another student challenged him to a fight and received a concussion, a broken jaw and three of his ribs broken because the student badmouthed his younger sister." Aizawa gave a pause. "... Without using his quirk."

All Might sweatdropped. "... I apologize."

"Well at least we know he's not doing it to wave a sense of superiority over his classmates." Ectoplasm chimed in. The taller teacher clicked his teeth. "And it would pay to bring in a warp user into our ranks. God's above know how rare they are. And even rarer it is to have one want to be a hero."

"Hm, Shinra Nobu... Nobu..." Present Mic muttered to himself over the comms. "Doesn't that name sound familiar to anyone else? Cuz I'm drawing blanks over here."

A hero resembling an astronaut raised a finger. "Yes, actually!" A female voice chirped from behind the helmet. "Nobu was the name of the late Blink Hero: Jumper. Shigenori Nobu. His quirk Flicker allowed him to move at near teleport speeds, leaving behind an afterimage that would often confuse his enemies." The Rescue Hero: Thirteen kept it going. "He was a great asset to rescue team efforts. He was able to remove debris at a faster rate than mostly anyone."

"Didn't reports say he vanished years ago?" Mic joined back in. He remembered the news reports. All of a sudden, Shigenori had disappeared without a trace, leaving behind his family without any clue as to where he had gone. There were no visual reports of him in any nearby countries either. "It was weird. Just one day, he just... left. Nobody knew if he was kidnapped or if he finally lost it. And with what happened to his mother... poor kid."

"As morbid as it sounds, the past is the past." Nezu nodded. "That was years ago. Nobody can do anything about it now."

Midnight spoke. "But we can help their kid now, lead him down the path of heroes."

Several heads nodded in agreement.

"That is, only if the boy passes."

Midnight rolled her yes. "Goddammit Shota."

The underground hero, Erasure Head, said nothing else as he watched the screen.

Shinra, almost as if he was bored or perhaps actually tired, yawned into his hand. They couldn't tell what he mumbled to himself, but they watched as he rolled his eye and raised both hands. As if he was leading an orchestra, portal after portal ripped out and dropped random Pointer Robots. He looked like he was having a grand time, until a nearby robot on the ground locked onto him. Raising one of its arms, it launched a rocket towards the top floor of the building he was standing on.

The golden eyed teen barely gave it a glance before he leapt off the roof and through a portal right before his platform exploded into rubble.

4 Days Later... (Friday 6:53 PM)

"Is it done yet?"

"No."

"... How about now?"

"Nope."

A pout.

"Now?"

"Keep asking and I'll make you wait another hour to eat." Shinra said without missing a beat as he tossed the rice into the air and back into the pan. As the food sizzled in front of him, he craned his neck back to look at his little sister.

Who was puffing out her cheeks, crossed arms and pointing a glare at her older brother. "No fair!" She looked nearly identical to him, the same snow white hair tied into a short bun in the back, but she still wanted enough of her hair to drape down each side of her face, just barely going passed her shoulders. Her round eyes also had a shade of gold to them, albeit close to a bright yellow. She wasn't as pale as her brother, but the similarities are close.

"Uh, yes it is?" The teen scoffed with a smirk. "It's almost as if the chef gets to decide who eats what and when."

"I'm your sister!"

"Yes, you are my adorable sister who doesn't know how to cook yet."

"Ugh!" Dramatically, she groaned and leaned back in her chair. She grumbled. "Big Sis would be on my side."

Shinra rolled his eyes. "That's because she likes to watch me lose. And she's ass when it comes to cooking too." At that thought, he took a quick glance at the clock on the wall and saw that it was nearing 7 pm. "Speaking of, she should be home soon anyway." Luckily she'll make it back before the food gets too cold. He'd rather not want to deal with nagging about 'having to reheat food in a microwave'. Even if it is funny to watch her suffer.

Almost as if on cue, he heard the lock on the front door click open.

"Big Sis is home!" A voice called out.

Her impatient hunger momentarily forgotten, the little girl gasped and jumped out of her seat to rush whoever walked in.

"Yo, I made it back in time-oof!" A blonde teenager coughed as the little girl practically threw her entire body weight into her arms. "Geez Yuma-chan, you gotta stop doing that. One day I'm just gonna dodge." Even though the air was pushed out of her, the blonde girl teased the younger one and rubbed her back with a smile. Both Shinra and her knew she was only teasing, but Yuma gasped and looked up at her with scared eyes.

"You wouldn't dare!" Yuma whined. "I love your hugs!"

"I don't know~" She sang and tapped a finger against her chin. With a grin, she flared off her extended canines. "I'll have to think on it."

"Alright," Shinra stepped in before the teasing went too far. "It's too late in the day to get her riled up so much, Himiko." The taller teen motioned for the two to come closer, as he began placing down the bowls and chopsticks down on the table. "Anyway, you made it just in time. Dinner is ready." He had already began distributing the proper shares between the three of them.

"Yaaaay!" The smell of curry hit Yuma's nostrils like a truck. Pulling away from Himiko, the small girl made a beeline back towards the dining room table.

"Uh-uh!" She was halted in her tracks as Shinra pointed the big spoon at her. "Don't think I've forgotten." He motioned the spoon towards the stairs. "Head upstairs and make sure your hands are clean little missy."

Another pout, but the child didn't say anything before doing as she was told.

As she walked up the stairs, Shinra had also taken it upon himself to place himself at the kitchen sink and quick wash off the grease on his hands. Small, delicate, yet dangerous hands snaked their way around his stomach from behind. Golden eyes didn't move away from the sink, but the male chuckled when he felt Himiko's chin rested on his shoulder. "Someone's feeling clingy. What's it been... 5 minutes?"

Cat-like eyes rolled. "More like 7 days..." She whispered in his ear. He, luckily, prevented himself from physically shivering under her touch.

She wasn't gonna get the satisfaction of teasing him that easily.

"You didn't miss me?" She huffed haughtily.

"I wouldn't say that." Shinra mumbled. His lips curled into a playful smile. "It's become a game to see who can last out the longest. At least to me anyway."

"You and your games." Toga muttered before her hands gripped at his sides, turning him around to face her. Golden eyes connected with exotic yellow. Her light pink lips pulled back into a smirk. "You know..." She placed a single finger at the center of his chest and began to drag it upwards. "When it comes to games, I'm usually the winner." Her finger left the cloth of his t-shirt, landing on skin and continuing up his neck to the bottom of his chin. "... Especially since I know all the cheat codes." She ended off on a whisper, never once breaking eye contact.

"You keep telling yourself that." Shinra softly grabbed her wrist and gently had her take a step back. Toga pursed her lips and puffed her cheeks. "And you know we can't do anything. Not-"

"As long as Yuma-chan is awake." She finished before he could with a roll of her eyes. "I don't know why you're so uptight about a little flirting."

"Oh, I don't know. Maybe because she's 10?" The big brother deadpanned. "And I'd very much appreciate if she didn't get corrupted at said young age by a certain someone I know."

"Come on, it was one time!"

"Yeah? And while you were playing dead, that left me to explain to a 10-year-old that all the blood on my sheets didn't mean any of us were dying."

"... You liked it."

"You made her think I was dying."

"But you liked it."

"You're insufferable, you know that?" The white head scoffed as he let go of her wrist. Instead, he grabbed her face and planted a quick peck on the top of her forehead. That earned him an adorable giggle.

"You love me and you know it."

He laughed.

"I wouldn't go that far."

That earned him a jab in the gut. But even at the lost of breath, that didn't stop the sarcastic asshole from letting out a final victory laugh.

"Tch, and before I forget," Toga reached behind her and pulled a white envelope from her back pocket. It had a red stamped 'UA' on the middle. There was an obvious distaste on her features, but she handed the mail over. "This was placed at our doorstep. Thought I'd bring it in before the neighborhood cat took it. Again." Shinra blinked as he looked at the crest. He had honestly forgotten about his results.

"Ooooh," They both turned over to see Yuma hopping off the last stair and hopping her way over to them. Stars of amazement were in her eyes. "Is that what I think it is? Did you get in!?"

Shinra sighed as he pocketed his mail. "That's not important right now." He gave Toga quick pat on the back, leading her with him to the table. "For now, we sit down. Eat. Catch up. Sound good?" As everyone took their seats, Yuma didn't hesitate to let out a whine.

"Aw, but I wanna know if you got in or not..."

"Don't worry about it. There's no way I didn't get in."

Toga mumbled under her breath. "Careful. Someone's ego is showing."

"What was that?"

Toga poked at her food. "Nothing~" It would've played off as a sweet, innocent smile if he didn't know her for as long as he did.

"I thought so. Now eat up before the food gets cold."

It was peaceful. It's been a good couple of weeks since they've had a relaxing dinner, with all of them seated at the same time. He missed this. If it weren't for the fact he needed to train himself into the ground and Toga's usual hunts, they'd have more time spent like this. No worries, no problems. However... he could see Himiko's eyes staring at him from the corner of his vision, trying to gain his attention. With a raised brow, "Yes?"

"So," The blonde swallowed her food. "You gonna tell me how it went?"

"The entrance exams?" Shinra prepped his elbow on the table and leaned his head into his hand. "Eh," He rolled his other hand lazily. "Nothing really exciting happened, ya know. Other than some prude with glasses getting pissy at someone I went to school with, not much." Toga continued to stare at him. "What? It was literally just a written exam, which was easy as hell and then there was a practical exam where a whole bunch of us had to fight a swarm of robots to rack up battle points."

"Big Brother said he made it rain robot parts."

"Sounds like him, yeah."

A Little Later... (9:15 pm)

The projection of All Might ended with the Symbol of Peace giving the teen a big thumbs up, his teeth giving off a near unnatural shine before the feed went dark.

"Welp," Shinra huffed as he leaned back in his chair. He rolled himself around to face his bed, where Toga remained seated against the wall. "Told ya I'd get in. Easy shit." The blonde girl had sat through the result scores in silence, perfectly content with sitting back and watching All Might reveal that her significant other had made it in the top 3. Shinra clapped from himself as he stood up from his chair. "Bravo me."

"Yeah, yeah, get your ass over here."

Her attire was another reason she had sat in silence. On her person, Toga wore an oversized dark blue hoodie and a simple pair of socks. With underwear hidden beneath of course, but a quick glance would've said otherwise. She wasn't too keen to expose her body and allow the Number 1 Hero to lay his eyes upon her. That was for the male in front of her and only him. Her one and only.

As soon as Shinra plopped down on his mattress, the blonde teen wasted no time pulling the blankets over the two of them. With a hum of delight, she tangled her legs with his and pulled him close, resting her head upon his chest. She took a moment to herself to enjoy his warmth. "You're like a cat, you know that?" He muttered, running his hand through her free-falling locks of hair. She practically purred under his care.

There was nothing else they wanted more than to just accept each other's presence.

To forget the world around them.

To forget their problems.

It was him. It was her. It was both of them and with that, it was all they needed.

They remained laying under the sheets, basking in each other's affection for a couple of silent minutes before Toga spoke up.

"I still can't believe you're actually going to UA." Shinra couldn't see it clearly, but he could hear the sneer in her voice.

"I know." Shinra sighed. "It's hard to imagine myself actually becoming a hero."

Toga craned her neck upward so she can look him in the eye. "You don't have to."

"I don't. But Yuma wants me to. And I could use it as a way to get stronger."

"Yeah, but a hero?" Toga furrowed her brows. "You'd be better off hunting people down like I do instead of becoming some government dog when you graduate."

Shinra leaned his head back into his pillow and gazed upward towards the ceiling. "It's not ideal. I'd rather not have to deal with any more expectations put on me, but I can use them in the long run. A way to freely use my powers without the police breathing down my neck for illegal use of quirk without permit." With a scoff, he waved a hand in the air and a small set of sparks went off. "Imagine being born with a gift and not having the freedom of enjoying it. And all it takes is putting my life on the line for others to get to that point."

"Sounds like a shit deal to me." Toga race her fingers across his naked stomach. "The only person who's allowed to hurt you is me." There was a possessive tone in her voice, added with the fact that she was now digging her nails into his skin. "The only person allowed to make you bleed is me." She heard a hitch in Shinra's breathing as she pushed herself up into a sitting position.

Shinra could feel the increased weight as she straddled him.

He felt two soft hands cup his face, forcing him to make contact with a pair of near glowing yellow eyes in the dark.

"We can be free together. We don't need anyone else." Toga whispered. "You're mine."

"As you're mine..." Shinra replied. "And it would be easy. With my quirk, we can be anywhere at any time. But besides you and Yoko-san, Yuma is all I have. She can't live that sort of life." His sister was too young and innocent to live as a fugitive. They both had blood on their hands and he'd be damned if he allowed it to happen to her too. He'd lay down his life if it meant giving her the life she deserves. A loving family.

Toga sighed. "I know."

She was disappointed and he could tell.

But they both knew he was right.

...

...

...

"Hey..."

"Hm?"

"... Did you find her yet?"

"... No."

Silence.

Toga leaned down towards his ear. "I missed you." She tried again.

This time he replied softly. "I missed you too. I'm always worried you'll never come back." She felt his arms tighten around her torso, bringing her closer. Hearing how vulnerable he sounded made Toga's heart pound in excitement. She loved hearing how clingy he could be, even if he only showed it in what little privacy they shared. They were soul mates. She was his. He was her's. That was all that mattered. But it only made her crave him more.

The look in his eye told her all she needed to know.

There was nobody else. Only her.

She didn't see it as selfish to lord this kind of power over him. She didn't care.

Only she got to see this side of him.

Nobody else.

And she loved it.

She wanted to bite him. Make him squirm. Make him call out her name. She dug her nails into his sides and relished the sound of him hissing under her. She could do whatever she wanted to him. She owned him. And she wanted to make him bleed.

"Little Yuma is fast asleep right now." With a teasing blow of hot air into his ear, she moved down to the base of his neck. "And the night's still young." Himiko inhaled his scent. Shivers went down her spine with an excitement she hasn't felt in days. Her hands snaked up his arms and took a tight hold on his wrists. "Don't you think?" He could feel the slow grind of her hips against his, setting a jolt through his already growing arousal.

She bit down into his shoulder.

Toga could taste the sweet copper.

He was already whimpering.

From what she heard during the projection, he had a couple days before his first day.

She reached for the small pocket knife under his pillow and sat back up, licking the blood from her teeth. The small blade danced lightly against the skin of his neck, a gesture to show who was in charge. The fear, yet excitement in his eye was enough to drive her over the edge. Her breathing started to pick up alongside his once the steady rhythm of their grinding started to sync. He had to follow her painfully slow tempo. "What a perverted loser..." Despite the circumstances, she let out a cute giggle.

Just the thought of it lit her face up like a heated lamp.

And for those few days, she was going to fucking ruin him.

Three Days Later... (Monday 8:07 AM)

'... I'm already disliking this.'

Shinra thought to himself as he pulled at the collar of his new school uniform. He already had a dislike of wearing shirts and this felt all kinds of stuffy. And it didn't help that he had to deal with first day hallway traffic. As fate deemed it so, he wasn't the only one who's managed to fail to navigate themselves properly through this maze of a school. He's been shoulder bumped 4 times already and he could already feel his temper rising.

It wasn't because of his somewhat fresh and healing scars a certain blonde left for him, no of course not.

The white head felt his face flush just a little bit when he remembered the heated kiss Himiko granted him before he left-

A random girl shoulder checked him out of memory lane. He barely heard her quiet "sorry" before she had already picked up the pace down the hall.

But luckily, before he 'accidentally' caused someone to fall from the sky, he managed to find his homeroom. "Class 1A." He said aloud. He could already hear voices inside. Not that he cared if he was late or not, he'd rather not have the luck of having everyone's attention land on him. He took a breath to steady his already aggravated nerves before opening the door.

He saw groups of teens, somehow already found their social circles.

A crow-headed male at atop of his desk, making small talk with 2 others; one larger teen with a mask and multiple arms alongside a plain looking blonde boy with an extremely muscular tail.

Then there was a punk-rock female chatting it up with 2 other girls, an all pink one and from what Shinra could tell, a floating bundle of clothes with a certain set of curves only a female could have.

Then there was a quiet boy with red and white hair sitting in solitude, staring into space. From just a single quick glance, Shinra could recognize someone who was dead inside, just from the lack of shine in their eyes.

All in all, there were more he didn't bother keeping track of, but there was definitely a lot of unnecessary noise for something so early in the morning.

Shinra sucked his teeth as he moved for an empty seat. The irritation of the social outing surrounding him and the slight itching of 'battle wounds' Toga gave him were starting to build up. Saying screw it, he started to unbutton his shirt so he'd have one less layer to constrict his healing bite marks over his chest. With a sigh of relief, along with feeling a couple degrees cooler, he leaned back in his chair.

"Excuse me!" A somewhat familiar voice spoke up abruptly, prompting Shinra to open an eye and witness the same blue haired teen with glasses air-chopping in front of another ash-blonde. "As a student of a prestigious school such as UA, it is unfitting for a young hero to sit in such an uncouth manner!" The ash-blonde with almost an explosion of spiked hair, sucked his teeth and leaned back in his chair, stretching his legs further over another desk.

Then, just as fast as he spoke, the taller teen faced Shinra and pointed to him as well. "And you should be privy to the clothing standards as well! Button your shirt back up!"

"Yeah, you can fuck right off with that, you cunt."

"I'll do whatever the fuck I want, you fuckwit."

As soon as the words left both of their mouths at the same time, the duo blinked almost as if something clicked into place. While the blue haired teen stood in shock at the verbal assault, the ash-blonde sat up-right and turned around to make direct eye-contact with our protagonist. And that's when it hit Shinra. 'I knew I recognized that hair from somewhere!' A large, shit-eating grin split the white-head's face as he recognized Bakugo in front of him, who was getting out of his seat.

"You!" Bakugo sneered.

"Me!" Shinra laughed.

"And what the fuck are you doing here, huh?" A low growl escaped from Bakugo's throat as he walked forward.

Shinra's chair skid back as he stood up as well. "What do you think, you dumbass?"

Whatever conversations that were happening around them were starting to dwindle down as they watched the two interact. Especially a newly arrived green haired freckled child, who gulped next to a brunette, who had an air of confusion around her. The rest of the class continued to watch, expecting a fight in the first 10 minutes of class. But as soon as the two were close enough, hands shot out and clasped each other.

A rough handshake between the two happened, Shinra's wide grin turning into a taunting smile as Bakugo's turned into an angry one. "I expected UA to accept talent in here, but I guess they dropped their standards if they're letting in a shit-stain like you." Shinra's jab earned a tick mark atop Bakugo's head as the explosive teen pulled his hand back.

"Talent recognizes talent." Bakugo scoffed before he let out small pops from his palms. The teen looked like he was gearing up for a fight and Shinra's excitement only seemed to grow. His smile starting looking borderline dangerous as the tensions rose. Shinra's knuckles popped as he balled his hands into fists. "And I still need to pay you back in blood. Don't think I forgot!"

"And here I thought you had permanent brain damage-"

Before the warp-quirk user could reply, an irritated and tired voice cut through the air. "Alright, that's enough."

At first, nobody knew where the voice was coming from until they heard the green freckled boy let out a yelp and point at a yellow sleeping bag behind the teacher's desk, holding a scraggy looking man inside. 'Oh, Midoriya made it in too?' Shinra thought with a raised brow, knowing damn well all the rumors from the boy being quirkless were true. Or else he wouldn't have been Bakugo's punching bag for most of their school years.

The sleeping bag stood up and unzipped, allowing the man's body to breathe, showing up his plain black jumpsuit; with grey bandages hanging loosely around his neck and shoulders. "Seems this generation has its share of problem children. A problem I intend to correct, seeing as how you believe this hero course is just another means to make friends and slack off." The tired man let out a hefty sigh as he had all of the teenagers' attentions. And with a sharp glare, he revealed, "My name is Shota Aizawa. I'll be the homeroom teacher of Class 1A. Now hurry up to the locker rooms and get your gym clothes on. We're gonna do a little test."

And that's how the whole class found themselves standing outside in the fields, in their matching gym clothes and waiting, almost anxiously, for their teacher to speak.

Aizawa stood in front of them all with a clip-board, eyeing each student respectively before a hand slowly raised above their head. "Ochako Uraraka, right?"

The brunette girl with rosy cheeks answered with a hesitant nod. "U-Um, yes. Why are we outside exactly? Aren't we supposed to do initiation ceremonies with the rest of the school?" Other students nodded in confusion.

"Yes, however I like to teach my class differently." Aizawa admitted easily, holding his clipboard at his side. "As you are now, you're students of UA. But that doesn't mean you're worth becoming heroes. Not until I see the potential for myself. Practical exams be damned." The underground hero watched the uneasy expressions build upon each of their faces and steeled his face. "Right now, my test for you all is more of a physical exam. Against common sense, average schools don't allow children to utilize their abilities and learn what they're working with. Giving them a very unstable uprising, unbalance mental complex or becoming a flight risk to others. Not to mention themselves. My job is to catch you up on that."

Honestly, Shinra can say he liked the man already. 'Straight to the point. Nice.' That meant this was the type of man who knew exactly how to train someone.

The white head could feel his excitement grow.

'Maybe Hero School wasn't such a bad idea.'

"Seeing as how you placed at the top in the entrance exams," Aizawa called out, pulling out a softball. The man pointed at a painted circle on the ground. "Katsuki Bakugo, front and center."

Everyone, not knowing which one of them was the one called, could only witness the ash-blonde walk forward with his nose slightly in the air. An aura of superiority surrounded him as he placed himself where told. He easily caught the softball tossed his way and gave his new teacher a questioning brow. "Throw it as hard as you can using your quirk. Without leaving the circle." That was all he needed to hear before he stretched his arm out, swung it in circles before launching the ball with a grunt of effort and a battle cry.

With a bloodthirsty smile, Bakugo's palm ignited and shot the ball straight into the sky above with an hefty explosive boom and an extreme "DIE!" trailing with it.

*Beep, Beep!*

Aizawa held up a small tablet towards the class. "705.2 meters."

There was some minor claps going around as Bakugo returned to his spot in line.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Shinra grinning and shaking his head, mouthing 'Weak' and giving a thumbs down.

"Shinra Nobu," Aizawa cut in while Bakugo clenched his teeth to prevent himself from lashing out.

"Oh boy, I'm in trouble." The teen muttered with a smirk, closing his eyes.

Almost as if he heard the sound of something whizzing through the air, "Since you seem so competitive, stand up and give it a try." A ball came flying at the teen, who caught it near effortlessly. Shinra stared right back at Aizawa, who noticed the reflexive catch with a hint of approval. 'Maybe he's not too much of a lost cause.' The underground hero would definitely be keeping an eye on this special case. After reading his background and seeing how he interacted with Iida and Bakugo, he figured the boy might be something of a wild card.

Shinra stepped up as the center of attention and cocked his arm back. As soon as he reeled forward and his fingers escaped the ball, a golden rift appeared in thin air and ate the ball whole before closing.

He heard the surprised whispers from behind, but he was more entertained by the sigh and nose pinch from his teacher. "You should've known that would've happened, Aizawa."

"First of all, it's 'sensei' or I'm kicking you out of my class." Aizawa quickly retorted. But the boy was right, he did know it was gonna happen but he had some sliver of hope that the boy would've used his physical strength instead and used his quirk for other exercises. 'Apparently not.' He can already tell the boy was gonna use it as a shortcut as much as possible.

Then it dawned on him. "Where did you send the ball, Shinra?"

Shinra didn't even bother answering just yet before snapping his fingers and a portal appeared. As soon as the portal expanded to the size of a human, a strong gust of below freezing wind blew over the nearby area. Students shouted from the sudden drop in temperature, already wanting to rush back inside the building. Snow piled out in heavy clumps, but Shinra was quick to reach in and pull out the ball he had tossed. Before the portal closed, all people had seen was a snow caked cliff going down a mountain, mostly hidden from the brutal weather. "If you're wondering where exactly, I sent it to Mount Everest." He said it nonchalantly, as if he didn't send the ball flying across the world.

'Like it was the easiest thing to do...' Aizawa could already list all of the dangers of having that sort of power, to be anywhere at any moment. Honestly, it unnerved the Pro Hero. If there was one type of quirk he hated dealing with in battle, it was warp-based. Specifically teleporters. And from the barest hint of reflexes when Shinra caught the ball, it became less of a question that the boy knew how to handle himself physically than abuse his power. 'Definitely a dangerous combination.' The man thought.

But he would be lying if he said he didn't relish the chance to hone the skills of someone who can close the distance in a blink of an eye.

"But why Mount Everest?" In the group of students, there was a tall female with a raised hand. Her hair was black, tied in a large ponytail and analyzing eyes watched closely. "If anything, you could've just sent it atop the UA building?"

Shinra shrugged, not really seeing what the big deal was. "Dunno. Last time I threw something, I just picked at random and shattered someone's window in France." The tall girl was caught off guard at the unorthodox response, wondering who in the world would abuse their power in such a reckless manner. And then realized the teenager in front of them all was that exact person.

And the problem child was showing. Again.

"Alright, next. Ochako Uraraka." The brunette 'eeped' at the sudden call out, but listened.

Before she was handed the new freezing ball, someone in the crowd was getting riled up and whistled. "Y'know, this actually seems kinda fun."

'And there it is.' The pro hero grunted before sending out a glare. "If you think this is a game, then you can pack up and leave. The life and work of a hero isn't 'fun'." Aizawa started listing off with his fingers. "Burning forests, exploding buildings, flooded cities, screaming and/or already dead civilians, villains that want to kill you. Does that sound fun to you?" The sudden tongue lashing shut up whoever spoke out of turn and sent an air of unease over the class. "I thought so. We're not here to make friends. And we're not here to play games. We're here to become the best you can be. And if you want to be the best, you need to prove to me that you can." Aizawa held up the clipboard and tapped it with his knuckle. "From this point on, I'll be grading everyone's scores and whoever comes in last will be kicked out. Expelled."

"What!?"

"But that's not fair!"

"You can't-"

He cut off the surprised and fearful shouts with his quirk, eyes glowing red and hair floating above like they had no weight to it. Behind him, Uraraka gulped and took a step back. "I can and I will. If you think I'm joking, you're willing to gamble your spot in this class. Now, test begins. Uraraka, start."

As the other students mumbled to themselves, obviously feeling the pressure weighing down on them, Shinra could feel the disgust building. 'These are supposed to be the next generation of heroes? The only ones here that look like they can handle stress is Bakugo and that candy-cane looking fucker. Doesn't look like anybody's even been in an actual fight.' Although, taking a quick glance at the biggest student with multiple arms. 'He seems to be more of a challenge, but looks can be deceiving.' Then he heard someone... whine? Looking down at his right, he saw some little boy with purple balls on his head. The little guy was practically shaking in place.

"Could you stop?" Shinra hissed under his breath. "You're acting like such a pussy right now."

Purple boy's head whipped around as if he was slapped. "And how can you be so calm!?" He said in a hushed whisper, afraid his voice would give him away and Aizawa would point his wrath at him personally.

"Because unlike you, I actually knew what I signed up for, dipshit. Now shut up so I can watch the rest."

*Beep, Beep!*

This time, Shinra actually got caught off guard when he saw an infinity symbol from the device in Aizawa's hand. In the circle, Uraraka stood standing with an embarrassed smile and cheeks lit up in a blush. "My quirk can make things weightless. It almost feels like cheating to be honest. Hehe..." She scratched the back of her head.

A thought occurred. 'Wait, what the hell was my score!?'

"Okay, next. Izuku Midoriya."

Now that was a name he hasn't heard in a while. He saw the curly green hair making his way forward. That same nervous expression on his freckled face as always. "... Wait, but I thought he was quirkless?" Shinra mumbled under his breath. Him, Bakugo and Midoriya had went to the same school, but never had any classes together. Never knew them personally, but from all the rumors, Midoriya was one of the 4 people that didn't have quirks in Aldera Junior High. And the rumors must've been true if the bullying Bakugo put him through was anything to go by. "The fuck is he doing here?"

In the corner of his vision, he saw Bakugo cross his arms and narrow his eyes in unrestrained anger.

"He took out a zero pointer." A deep voice piped up from behind him.

Turning away from the teacher/student duo, Shinra took notice of the same and only bird-head student in his class. For a moment, he didn't register that Aizawa paused the test, giving Midoriya some kind of threatening speech. "Uh, who are-"

"Fumikage Tokoyami." The teen replied, not taking his eyes off the green haired runner-up. He was intrigued as to why their teacher canceled his quirk, but still continued to answer. "Like I said, he single-handedly took down the large 0-Point robot in the entrance exam. I assume you were at a different location if you haven't seen, nor heard of his actions."

"Him?" Shinra pointed at the boy in question, who was taking in deep breaths to focus. He remembered seeing a 0-Pointer pop up in his zone. Obviously he didn't waste his time fighting it, but while everyone was running for their lives, he was snatching up what leftover points there was. "He couldn't fight himself out of a paper bag in our school! I've heard of late bloomers, but this is some grade-A bull-"

*BOOM*

Almost as if someone had literally punched a hole in the sound barrier, Midoriya had sent the softball soaring to the clouds above as if he were the right hand of God himself.

Shinra couldn't stop himself from covering his mouth. "Oh my."

"Minoru Mineta, you're out. Get your stuff and go." Came Aizawa's monotone drawl, catching everyone off guard.

The physical trials had finally come to an end, with a good majority of the students seated in front of him panting from the exertion he squeezed out of them. A collective thought went through their heads, many believing the man was bluffing. But being a man of his word, he had reviewed the test scores once they returned to class and called out the one who came in dead last. He didn't hesitate to put an angry glare on display when the small purple boy jumped in place, stunned.

"What!?" Mineta cried out, standing in his chair and slamming his hand on his desk. "But that Midoriya kid did worse than I did! I just know he did!"

"He came second to last." The cold reality of how close he had come to failing left Midoriya with a little less color in his face than he'd like. "If it weren't for his explosive start with the ball test, he probably would've been leaving instead of you. However, that's not the only reason I'm kicking you out." Aizawa leveled such a heated glare that the boy had clammed up before he could snap back. "At first, I had considered using expulsion as a bluff and would've cramped up my classroom with one extra person. Except I'm extremely attentive to details and have definitely noticed your 'wandering' eyes all over the rest of the female students. I don't tolerate harassment."

"But-"

"Out."

Tears had built up in his eyes. Anger or embarrassment, nobody knew as everyone watched the boy get his backpack and walk out of the room.

Shinra stifled a laugh when everyone heard the beginnings of crying start once the door closed behind him. He was obviously struggling enough visibly, that it caught the attention of his new neighbor. "Hey, come on." Uraraka chastised quietly. After they returned to class, Aizawa gave them assigned seats, leaving her as his left neighbor and a green haired girl with the resemblance of a frog on his right. "He tried his best."

"Apparently he didn't try hard enough." Shinra's brash rebuttal came quick, the smug smirk never leaving. "And he shouldn't have been a perv."

The frog girl next to him hummed. "I agree."

Said girl had noticed the little teen eyeing her ass like he was seconds away from grabbing it and putting it on display like a trophy. And the unnerving part was that she had barely known him for an hour and honestly believed it could've been a reality. Some people just didn't have an ounce of shame in their bodies.

"Enough." Aizawa interrupted. He crossed his arms, obviously unhappy that he was forced to act on his ruse, but ultimately uncaring. "I made due on my promise, but it was a logical choice to bring out the best you can. For those remaining in these seats, that alone is proof that you have potential of becoming the next generation of heroes. But even now, that doesn't mean you're off the hook." The underground hero leaned forward on his desk, intense gaze on full throttle. "At any moment, any day of the week, if I believe your potential has hit a stand-still, I'm removing you as well. I will not tolerate failure. Do I make myself clear?"

'Failure...' The word echoed in Shinra's thoughts, washing him with a cold feeling.

"Yes sir..." He said in unison with the other students, but not as enthusiastic.

His right hand twitched.

The last bell had rung and the students were released; their excitement for their first day long since burned out and the desire to return home coming back full force.

As the halls emptied with students of all sizes, Shinra simply waltzed at a lazy pace. Usually he would conjure up a rift straight into his house. However from all the cameras he's noticed around the school, he didn't want to risk getting written up for illegal quirk usage. Just thinking of the law against using his natural born gift left a bad taste in his mouth and never failed to piss him off.

But he held back for now and decided to just simply enjoy taking his time.

At least, until he was a block or two away from the school grounds.

Humming to himself, he actually found himself in somewhat of a good mood. Which usually would only be when he's either cooking, spending time with Yuma or cuddling up to his bloodthirsty girlfriend. Which, again, got him thinking about their recent nightly activities and the scars he's now sporting as a physical reminder. And no higher power could get him to lie and say he didn't like it.

He was on cloud 9 thinking about her pale skin... alluring eyes... slender frame...

Students making their way home couldn't stop themselves from sparing a confused glance as they walked by. While Shinra himself stood standing in the hallway for who knows how long, smiling like an idiot as he reminisced his perverse actions.

"Deku-kun, we never got to talk about your performance earlier!" A bubbly voice interrupted him.

Just outside of the doors, Shinra found himself just watching Uraraka punch the air with comical sound effects while Midoriya just laughed in embarrassment and Iida readjusted his glasses as a show of acknowledgement. "Uhh, i-it was nothing, r-really..." Midoriya's face was so lit up from the attention, he looked near close to passing out where he stood.

"Indeed Midoriya-san. That was an incredible display of power." Iida added. Then, both him and Uraraka took on uncertain expressions as they noticed Shinra make his way towards them.

Before Midoriya could ask why his two new friends looked at him strange, he felt a strong arm lap around his shoulder. "Hey Midoriya! Buddy, pal, bucko, friendo!" Shinra chuckled with a wide smile, leaning over and getting a closer look at his old school mate. It seemed Midoriya hadn't recognized him, but after Shinra wriggled his eyebrows, it finally dawned on the green student. And it showed.

Midoriya's eyes widened to dinner plates and he started stammering. "N-N-Nobu-san, sorry I didn't r-recognize you!" He almost sounded terrified. "W-W-W-What d-do you n-need!?" Scratch that, definitely terrified. In front of them, Ochako and Iida looked quite a bit concerned at the reaction while Shinra only laughed aloud and pat Midoriya on the back.

"Aw, lighten up man! I ain't gonna hurt ya!" If anything, Shinra was giving off a natural friendly aura and most people would've played along with ease. Most people. "I'm just here because I noticed you uh, you have a quirk. And a strong one at that."

"Midoriya-san, do you have history with Nobu-san here?" Iida stepped forward, nodding with a polite attitude to try and diffuse a bad situation before it could start. If it would start.

"Uh, y-yeah... we went to the same school t-together..."

Uraraka frowned, cutting in. "And what's he talking about finally having a quirk?"

Midoriya's eyes squinted as if the pressure he felt was physically choking him. "I'm j-just a late b-bloomer, that's all!"

Shinra took his arm off Midoriya's shoulders, allowing the boy to enjoy his personal space and relax his nerves. Shinra whistled. "Late bloomer my ass! I remember back when you couldn't lift more than 5 math books stacked on each other and now you're punching like a fucking titan? You sir, must have gotten the lucky draw!" Midoriya gave a nervous chuckle, but then saw the grin build on Shinra's face and felt his stomach drop. "Sooo... since you're strong and all... You interested in training together?"

"NO!" The sudden shout made Iida and Uraraka jump in their shoes, while the grin on Shinra's face got wider. Midoriya, realizing his voice reach a higher octave than he wanted, felt his face burn with raw embarrassment. "I-I mean, no thank you! I don't think I-I'm up to y-your standard, Shinra-san..."

"Aw, well that's a shame. First Bakugo, now you?" Shinra gave a childish pout and crossed his arms with a sigh. "Well, just consider the offer then. I'm always up for a match or two." Just then, Shinra heard his phone buzz from his pocket. With a quick glance at it, his face lit up with excitement and he raised his hand. "As it seems, I'm being summoned home and I'd rather not be late. I wouldn't mind talking more about your quirk later though, Midoriya." With that, the white head waltzed off with his hands in his pockets.

After a moment, Uraraka was at Midoriya's side as soon as the teen let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding. "Deku-kun, are you okay?"

Iida put a hand on Midoriya's shoulder and frowned. "Yes, what was that?"

"I-I..." Midoriya took a moment to calm himself back down before he could speak again. "He's right about us going to the same school, but I've heard rumors about him. How he'd fight people for fun and until his knuckles were bloodied... that he enjoys causing pain." Midoriya looked at the back of the retreating white head and gulped. "At first I didn't care much about the rumors until Kacchan... challenged him to a fight."

Iida's frown deepened. "For such a delinquent like that to be accepted into UA..."

"I mean," Uraraka rubbed the back of her head. "If he got in, then that pretty much proves he's strong right?"

"Without his quirk."

"Come again?"

Midoriya shook his head. "He fights everyone at school without his quirk. And when Kacchan heard the rumors, it didn't take very long before he went to fight him too. A-And it was fine at first, but then the tables turned really fast and really, really bad." If there was a person he was genuinely scared of more than Bakugo, it would've had to been the portal user. In his eyes, the day he saw Shinra standing over Bakugo's bruised and bloodied body, smiling like a madman and laughing, he was more than a little afraid to be in the same room alone with the older teen.

"But who's Kacchan?" Iida asked.

"Katsuki Bakugo." As soon as the name registered in their brains, Iida and Uraraka couldn't imagine the explosive teen in their class had been done in by the smiling warp-user. Sure, they had just witnessed how uneasy and intimidating the taller teen could be in front of Midoriya, but Shinra never gave hint of cocky arrogance. Unlike Bakugo, who's explosive power was put on display and once again placed near top of the class during the physical exams.

"To beat Bakugo... without a quirk?" Even Uraraka was trying not to sound anxious about it. Everyone in class is already getting the hint to steer clear of Bakugo unless they had a death wish, but for Shinra to easily walk up him like they were old pals was already unthinkable. "Did Bakugo use his at all?"

"Yes." Midoriya nodded. "When he realized he was losing, he started using his explosions and even managed to start pushing Nobu-san back. But then Kacchan must've said something to anger him because he upped his game and next thing we knew, Kacchan had broken bones and needed to be hospitalized for a while." If Midoriya was being honest, he didn't wish any bad karma towards Bakugo, but there was also an undeniable feeling of shock when his greatest friend was put down in minutes.

"But we saw them act like they were longtime friends." Iida pointed out.

"I don't know the exact details, but after the incident, Kacchan never tried fighting him again. But also gained some form of... respect?" Midoriya almost sounded unsure, like he didn't understand how his normally hot-headed friend would take a loss like that and act friendly. "Maybe it's because nobody else in school was a challenge for Kacchan until he met Nobu-san?"

Iida sighed and ran a hand through his hair, wondering how to go along with this sudden information. "Well, I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt and believe he's an upstanding student. As rising heroes, we can't just view him based on such rumors."

"Y-Yeah!" Uraraka agreed with a nod, already sparing a small, yet nervous smile. "I mean, maybe that past is long gone and he's normal? He can't be all that bad right?"

"Maybe..." They didn't see what he saw. He was legitimately scared for his childhood friend's life that day.

He just didn't understand why Shinra stopped.

Later that day... (10:29 PM)

"So did you fight anyone today?" Toga asked. She had her arm locked with her boyfriend's, humming lightly to herself as the two sat atop of a skyscraper.

Shinra snorted. "You make it sound like I'm looking for trouble anywhere I go." The warp-user took a moment. It wouldn't do well to mention that he did nearly get into a matchup against Bakugo within 10 minutes of walking into class. "... And no, I didn't."

As soon as Shinra had arrived home, Toga had already explained that she wanted to spend the night going out on a simple date. The blonde girl had been wanting to take an easy day and spend it with the love of her life. However, they had to keep it hush hush from little Yuma or else the girl would've raised a fuss at being left out. And as much as Toga loved the dear girl to death, she much rather prefer the older brother and their alone time together instead of spending her time playing babysitter.

Luckily, their next door neighbor and legal guardian Yoko had been more than willing to allow Shinra and Toga a night to themselves by watching over Yuma.

Except they still had to wait till long after sundown to leave out and enjoy themselves. And when they did, Shinra put his portals to good use and transported them to a secluded area; aka, atop of one of their city's tallest buildings. Which surprisingly hasn't been cut short by alarms or security just due to their presence being in private land.

So, there they sat with choices to look either up at the starry night sky or down below at the lit up city of lights.

"So beautiful..." The girl cooed as she kicked her legs over the edge.

Shinra leaned his head over her's. "Not as beautiful as you, Princess."

"Aw, you're just saying that."

"Can't help it if it's true, ya know."

The cheesy compliment still hit home as Toga let out a stream of giggles. "But still, it's so nice up here. A little windy, but there's no view better than this." She shivered a bit when a strong gust blew by. Shinra unhooked his arm from her's, whom immediately pouted, and then wrapped said arm around her shoulders to keep her warmer. "Such a gentleman~"

"Only for you." Shinra's hand reached out and his pointer finger lightly tapped his girlfriend's nose. "After all, I do remember your little threat a couple months back about me acting like an ass."

"The one about stabbing out your eyes because you flirted with that stupid whore?"

"Okay, first of all, I wasn't flirting and she was a complete stranger asking for the time." Shinra corrected with a matter-of-fact tone and raised finger. From the look in her eyes, it still seemed like she didn't believe him. "And no, I meant the time you threatened to cut off my face and wear it to my funeral if I ever decided to dump you."

The lights all around them gleaned over Toga's fangs as she smiled, remembering the threat/promise very well. It was same day as the 'whore' that walked up to him. She had been in a sour mood seeing the girl smile and act all cute in front of her man. And when they got home, she didn't hesitate to tear into him like she was marking her property. As well as soft, yet crazed threats and promises. "Well, now you know what's in store for you if you think another girl is gonna take my place."

"As if. We're practically made for each other."

Toga sighed dreamily. "Like soul mates."

"Soul mates, huh?" Shinra couldn't stop the smile from building on his face. If there was one thing he would never change in his life, was the day they met. Looking back on it, he wouldn't know where he'd be right now without her as his support. He looked up at the stars and hummed. For a moment, neither of them said anything until Shinra rubbed her shoulder. "... You think your parents would've liked me?"

"Pffft!" Toga immediately covered her mouth, trying not to laugh too hard. "Nope! Especially not after what you did!"

Shinra shrugged as if it didn't really matter.

"You think your parents would've liked me?" Toga asked, now that she saw an opening.

Now it was Shinra's turn to let out an amused huff. "I know for a fact if my parents could see me now, my father would've been disgusted and mother would've... no, definitely would've beat my ass repeatedly. Then would contact the local police department to take you away from me." Toga noticed the arm around her shoulder tighten up just a bit. While the conversation was lighthearted, she knew better than to push further less she wanted him to break down again. Still, it felt nice. Like he was trying to protect her.

Another gust of wind rushed them, this time it was a big one.

"O-Okay, I think it's time we head back down." The shivers rocked through her body like a jolt and the night air was only going to get colder.

"Okidoke." Snapping his fingers, a golden portal appeared below the duo and without a moment's hesitation, Shinra and Toga pushed themselves over the edge of the building.

At the base level of the building, the two hopped out of the portal with ease.

They looked around to see if anyone had seen them and so far, nobody noticed the illegal quirk use.

Knowing they were in the clear, Toga quickly scooped Shinra's arm into her hold with a happy smile before they began their walk back home. "By the way, has anyone caught your eye today at school?" The blonde girl questioned, looking up at him with curious eyes. "Any pretty girls?"

Knowing a trap when he saw one, Shinra proceeded to ignore the last question. The boy made a left turn to use an alley way as a shortcut. "I wouldn't say interesting, but I did end up having Midoriya and-"

"The quirkless brocoli?" She blinked.

Shinra chuckled. He had almost forgotten that nickname for him. "Yeah and Bakugo too."

That name made Toga narrow her eyes and let out a 'humph!' "I still say he got off lucky after talking so much shit about Yuma."

"I decided he had enough and left it there." Shinra sighed. While both of them were protective as all hell over Yuma, Toga was prone to take things... to the extreme. And while beating the absolute fuck out of Bakugo was justified, he didn't think being skinned alive was warranted either. "Plus, he knows better now. I gave him a fair warning-"

There was a click sound in the air and the couple stopped mid-step.

"Yeah, that's right." A gruff voice spoke low. "Turn around, nice and slow."

Shinra and Toga both did as they were told, soon coming face to face against a young adult holding a pistol towards them. "Huh, would you look at that." Shinra muttered as both he and his girlfriend slowly raised their hands above their head.

The stranger readjusted the dark grey hoodie over his head, trying to conceal his identity, but the man's crooked smile was on full display. "Good, that's good. Now give me all the money ya got! Jewelry too!" The mugger shook the firearm in his hand as a show of intimidation, putting emphasis on hurrying them the fuck up.

Except he didn't expect Shinra to look so bored.

Or Toga to have a dangerous gleam in her eyes.

"Should I take the honors, or should you?" Shinra offered, looking at his partner at the corner of his eye.

Toga giggled. "No, allow me. Ladies first after all."

The stranger, upon noticing the banter between his captives, sucked his teeth and waved his pistol around. "Hey, are you listening to me!? You think this is a fucking joke!?" The mugger raised his voice, feeling the anger build at being mocked by a couple of teenagers. He swapped his target to the white head and snarled, exposing his yellow and decayed teeth. "You won't be laughing when you're dead and that blonde bitch-" Before he could finish speaking, nevertheless react at all, golden sparks appeared over his arm and whizzed around his wrist, opening a portal and in an instant, closing it.

A bloodcurdling scream escaped the man's lips as he dropped to his knees, holding his bleeding stump of a wrist.

In just a second, his hand and firearm were gone.

"Alright, with a scream like that, I'm pretty sure we don't have a lot of time." Shinra said, picking his ear as if his eardrum burst.

After the mugger stopped screaming to catch his breath, he was able to make out the form of female legs making their way towards him. He immediately realized his trump card had been stripped away from him with no other weapons or even a quirk to help himself escape. Feeling helpless and terrified, he tried to blink away the pained tears. The mugger whimpered. "I-I'm sorry... I'm sorry, please-"

Toga put a finger to her lips. "Shhh, it's okay. I'm not gonna hurt you." The blonde girl crouched just slightly so she could pull the man's hood from over his head. His fearful eyes met hers. With a giggle, she tilted her head to the side and closed her eyes with a small, soft smile. "I'm just gonna let the police come and deal with you. I don't want your filthy blood on my hands."

A spark of hope fluttered in the man's heart. "R... Really...?"

Through watery eyes, the man's heart started racing when he saw a pocket knife get pulled out of Toga's sweater.

"Nooooo~"

Raised above her head, Toga's deranged smile was the last thing the man saw before the knife was brought down.

And there you have it folks! After a couple days of getting back into the groove, I present to you the first chapter of my new project. What did you think about it? I'm trying to add some humor to the story as well as underlying lore mixed in, with slight changes to characters moving forward. And before anyone asks, no I don't hate Mineta's character. I can care less about a pervy gag character, but if I had to remove someone who doesn't really matter in the series, I picked him.

I could've picked Koda, Hagakure or Sato, but I feel like I can do something about those characters. And depending on how it affects the story or not, I'll probably do more about their abilities. They're good, but upgrades can be a thing.

Also, I won't have a distinct upload schedule. Chapters will come out when they do and I've learned not to put schedules on myself that I can't keep and end up burning out again. So hopefully it won't take too long. But that also depends on how long I decide to make each chapter. I really do hope you guys enjoyed the read and will be coming back for more.
