Author's Note:

I see this story caught some eyes! And I'm glad! Kinda sad I didn't get a review yet, but I've learned to just be happy knowing people are following and liking this story. Thanks for the silent support guys!

I've also considered the ideas of Omakes; like little parody stories, background information or just random moments from time to time at the bottom of some chapters. Maybe. Seems like a cool enough idea. Not sure yet though.

But let's get down to the story!

I hope you all enjoy.

His throat burned as he threw up on the floor.

"Get up. We're not done yet." A hard voice barked.

He gasped, trying to catch whatever breath he could. He looked down at the floor, his bile mixed with blood caking the floorboards. There was even some on his hands. He stared at the vomit in horror.

"1... D-Daddy, I can't-"

A heavy foot slammed itself into his ribs, sending him stumbling across the floor.

His body ached and the child whimpered as he struggled to even roll himself onto his hands and feet.

"I remember telling you to call me 'Father', didn't I?" The stone cold voice reminded. "And next time, you better remember to block. Never let your guard down."

Shinra's ribs throbbed with an aching pain. His chest, his stomach, his face. He heaved before he felt himself get picked up by the scruff of his shirt. He was brought up to eye level with steeled golden eyes of his father.

Shigenori never let his expressions falter or shift, not even as he held his bruised and battered child in front of him. "I-I'm sorry..." He heard the tiny voice apologize. Even beaten down, his own son continued to make eye contact with him and struggled to keep up his smile. His shaking, horrified smile. "I'm t-trying... I promise..." The Flicker Hero continued to eye his son before he could feel his anger rise.

"Apparently you're not trying hard enough!" The older Nobu barked as he dropped the child and took a couple steps back. "We'll do this again. Adopt your fighting stance."

The small 6 year old wobbled as he pushed himself to stand on his own two feet. His little hands balled up into fists, the vomit between his fingers felt disgusting.

Tears pooled at his eyes, but he knew if he took time to wipe them away, his father would use it as an opening.

The tears never stopped anyway.

Shigenori let out a frustrated breath through his nose and narrowed his eyes. "I refuse to have a quirkless son who can't defend himself." Almost as if looking at his own offspring offended him, the man sneered and took on a fighting stance of his own. "The Nobu clan does not tolerate failure. Are you ready, boy?"

A hesitant nod. "Y-Yes, F-Father.."

Without a warning, Shinra couldn't stop the burly fist that flew at him.

Shinra woke up with a gasp, already sitting upright in his bed. Sweat layered his skin, his body felt like it was in a furnace.

His eyes wide, he stared out into space until he felt something squirm on his side.

"Hey... it's okay..." A delicate hand snaked its way to intertwine with his own. "Just relax. Nobody's going to hurt you, it's just us two." At first he didn't even register or recognize the voice. He just followed the words and kept taking deep breaths. He wasn't 6 anymore. He wasn't. He was 16. He was grown up now. Shinra looked down at his shaking hands. He clenched his right hand. "That's it... deep breaths."

It took him a couple minutes to properly calm himself down and when he did, he realized there were tiny glowing portals positioned all around his bed. A defense mechanism whenever he had nightmares.

With another deep breath, the teen closed his eyes and allowed his quirk to cancel.

A mop of unkempt blonde hair moved next to him. "... You okay?"

"Yeah, don't worry about it."

He felt her small hand grab his chin, moving his head for him until he was facing her.

Toga's eyes were gentle, yet assertive as she asked again. "Are you okay?"

"No."

"Was it your dad again?"

Shinra scoffed. He pulled the blankets off of him and rotated his body so he could dangle his legs over the edge of his mattress. "Who else? The fucker is gone and still finding time to make space in my head." The white head rubbed his face with his hands, feeling the phantom pains of getting pummeled repeatedly. His adrenaline was already high, wanting nothing more than to burn it off doing... something. Anything! With a sigh, he hung his head forward. "Sorry, I didn't mean to snap at you. I'm just..."

As if sensing what he needed, the blonde girl gave him a hug from behind. She kissed his cheek and rubbed his chest. Toga gave a small smile, even though he couldn't see it. "It's okay, hun. I'm just surprised you had another bad dream like that. You were crying in your sleep. That never happens when I'm here."

"I know." If he was being honest, he didn't feel anything. Not hate, not anger, not sadness. He felt like he was on an adrenaline high bordering on a mental breakdown. Right after waking up no less. But she had a point. He never had an episode like that. He didn't even remember the last time he had a nightmare when they shared a bed.

Then it hit him.

"The day of their death is this Monday." Shinra whispered.

He'd often forget about the day his parents died, usually choosing to put the past behind him. Usually until the date came close enough that it started to affect him mentally. He hated this shit.

Toga pursed her lips and paused her hand motions. "You won't be able to function properly."

"I'll burn it out."

"I know you will, but it only gets so far. We both know that." His girlfriend huffed, almost in an embarrassed way. "I still get my episodes from time to time." If Shinra wasn't still reeling from his nightmare, he would've cracked a joke. Toga's episodes were a bit more violent compared to his. Sometimes he'd wake up to her holding a knife to his eye or both of her hands wrapped tight around his throat. She would always have that far away look in her eyes and it took him not moving until she remembered where she was.

"... Maybe I should call out sick?"

"Mhm. Take the time you need." Toga hummed as if she thought of an idea. She poked his cheek. "Why don't you spend a day out with Yuma? It's getting nicer outside and I know she'd be happy to go to the beach."

"I'll think about it." Shinra slowly nodded, considering the idea. However, he was still a tad bit upset. "Just sucks that I'm already on the verge of losing my shit on my second day of school." It wasn't much, but a mirthful chuckle escaped his lips. If anything, Toga took it as a good sign and gave him a quick, tight squeeze before she let him go.

Shinra pushed himself off the bed and stretched. "What time is it?"

The blonde took a quick glance at the alarm clock. "5:13." The she yawned as she stretched out on the bed like a cat.

"Sorry for waking you up so early." Shinra said as he leaned forward to touch his toes. Behind him, Toga waved a lazy hand.

"With how much you have to deal with my sexy ass, I'd call it even." She gave her usual cheshire grin as she wanted her boyfriend do his morning stretches. Watching him very closely as he bent over.

Very closely.

"Oi, my eyes are down here." Her boyfriend called out, looking at her between his legs.

Toga replied, "Don't care."

It was a good thing Shinra didn't have any reservations about putting his body on display. Luckily he had boxers on. Can't say the same about his clearly naked girlfriend residing in his bedsheets, but he was just glad Yuma wasn't up yet and banging on their door so he could make breakfast.

Standing back up to his full height, Shinra hopped in place for a moment. Now that the sleepiness was exerted from his body, there was still the excess energy the adrenaline from earlier granted him. And knowing he still had nearly an hour till his sister woke up, he relished the opportunity to burn out said energy. And almost as if she was a mind-reader, which he still believed she was, Toga spoke aloud as Shinra put on his pants. "Going to Neverland?" She hummed.

"Yessir."

"Well, have fun." Another yawn escaped her lips. "I'd go with you, but I'm still feeling a bit exhausted."

Shinra opened a portal and looked back at her with an exasperated grin. "We didn't even do much last night."

The blonde rolled her eyes. "I wish we could've. But the fucker had to scream his ass off and put us on a timeline." Then her face flushed as she hugged Shinra's pillow close to her face. "I wanted to have fun."

"Gee, it's almost like I tore off his hand with the power of space."

Toga didn't say anything else and the only noise in the room was the soft hum and ripple of Shinra's portal. The white head raised a brow until he narrowed his eyes in thought. "... Wait... fun as in tearing the skin off his arms or fun with me?" He said in an accusing tone. The flush on her face only deepened as she avoided eye contact. Shinra already knew where she was going with this and groaned. "You know we can't do that yet."

Like a brat, Toga hugged the pillow closer and squirmed on the bed. "We came pretty close to it last week." She mumbled.

"Yeah and like then and before, I'm not ready to go all the way yet." Shinra admitted with a sigh.

Toga groaned in the pillow before she sat up, clearly annoyed. "I get that we're young, but-"

"It's not that and you know it." Shinra's soft tone cut in gently. She always got like this and he's still surprised she's lasted this long with this issue. "I... would rather not cause an accident. And I just want it to be special. I want it to mean something. Like a promise. Seal the deal." Every time they'd get down and dirty, they would always get to the point of no return and he'd just lose it. Fear, paranoia? He just wanted her to be safe.

It only took one little mistake for things to spiral out of control.

And she understood that.

As much as she loathed to admit it.

"Promise?" Toga couldn't stop herself from asking. "Sometimes it feels like it's my fault you're scared." There were times she got off from his fear, but the rest of the time, she wanted things to be equal and affectionate. Like it was just them versus the world.

The loving smile she received never failed to make her melt. Shinra stepped over and gave her a reassuring rub along her back. "I promise it'll happen soon. And when it does, I want the night to be perfect. For both of us." He gave her another peck on her forehead before he made his way back to the still open portal. "I'll be back for breakfast." As Toga waved him a quick goodbye and got herself comfortable in the sheets, Shinra hopped through the portal.

He had some aggression to work out.

Later that day... (12:45 PM)

Shinra was bored.

He had been paying attention to everyone else around him in class.

Besides Iida, Yaoyorozu and maybe the Todoroki child, everyone else was clearly in the same boat. It must've been a common thought that the hero course was gonna be more exciting, but like he had thought, it was just normal school with extra steps. Throughout the day, he had gone through the basic classes. Homeroom, Algebra, History, and even English class with Present Mic. At first, Shinra thought English would've been somewhat interesting with the Loud Hero as their teacher, but he guessed wrong when nobody else actively tried to participate in class and make it somewhat enjoyable.

Probably because it was still early in the day and they had the loudest person on the planet barking like he enjoyed their suffering.

He probably did.

Or maybe it was because Shinra was also fluent in English, all thanks to Yoko.

Nobody had the answer and the warp-user wasn't really looking for it either.

However, it seemed by some miracle, the last class of the day was going to be interesting. That was the train of thought he had when he saw the largest, muscular blonde man waltz through the door like he owned the school. With his ever present smile, All Might positioned himself in front of the whole class and let out a hearty laugh as he allowed the children to get their excitement out of their system.

Out of the corner of his eye, Shinra caught Midoriya about to have an aneurysm.

"Hello students!" His voice boomed and even Shinra had to admit, there was a slight pressure when graced with the presence of the Number 1 Hero in Japan. And while he could say he didn't have too high of an opinion on heroes, All Might hasn't really proven to have any flaw to hate him for. He was quick, strong, efficient, justice incarnate. Respect was given when respect was due.

But he was honestly a little hesitant to make eye contact with the man, as if he would look at him and see all the wrong he's done right then and there.

Shinra tried to hide a nervous chuckle. There's no way All Might could just look at him and know he helped murder a man last night, right?

Right?

"Today is the start of your Hero Basic Training classes!" Was all the strongest fighter said and that's when the class realized they were actually going to get active. Excited and curious murmurs filled the room as All Might pulled out a small remote. "Today you'll be getting a chance to get into the action, so make sure you kids get suited up." Mechanic whirring noises were heard as small columns ejected from the walls with suitcases numbered for each student in class. All Might pulled out a small tile from his pocket that had a bright colored and explosive "COMBAT" written over it.

Shinra had picked out suitcase Number 14 and forgot he had put in a work order for a tailored made suit.

"Hopefully the Support Department did me some justice." He mumbled as he and the rest of the class took off to the locker rooms.

It didn't take long for the boys to reach their changing room, splitting off from the females.

"So whaddya guys think the exercise is gonna be, huh?" As the guys started to undress, Shinra heard talk from a nearby redhead with spiked up hair. "Think we'll be fighting more robots?"

Shinra couldn't help himself from joining in. "I fucking hope not. I'm geared up and ready to beat someone's ass."

He didn't even need to turn around to know Bakugo was shooting him a heated glare.

"Ah, we never did get to talk one-on-one." The redhead realized as he held out a fist. "Names Eijiro Kirishima."

Shinra pulled his shirt up and over his head, tossed it into his locker and bumped his fist with the redhead's. "Shinra Nobu. Shinra is fine, don't really care about formalities." That's when he noticed Kirishima paused. In fact, a large majority of the room paused once they realized it became awkwardly silent. Shinra turned around and found himself being stared at by a large chunk of the male populace.

Again, he was no stranger to being naked and definitely didn't feel insecure when being looked at in the nude. But I guess it would've been easier to deal with than the fact that his body was indeed littered with cuts and knicks scars going down his back, his sides, his chest and some on his arms that nobody's looked close enough to notice. Hell, there were even bite marks still healing around his neck.

'Dammit, Himiko...' Shinra sighed as he put a hand on his hip and leaned against the locker. He put on his best smile, while somehow managing to look completely uninterested at the same time. "You guys enjoying the show or what? Cuz I'd like to say I'm flattered, but taken."

"Bro..." Kirishima muttered, taking in the numerous scars littering the warp-user's body. He was still counting. He had to admit, the teen was definitely fit and muscular, but the amount of healed over injuries was a bit concerning. "Are you good? Anything we should know about at home?"

The smile never left Shinra's face. In fact, it only got bigger as if he heard something funny. "I don't know why that would be anyone's business." It was supposed to sound like a joke, which it was to him at least, but not to anyone else.

That's when Iida took a step forward, already in his armored hero gear. "Nobu-san-"

"Shinra."

"S-Shinra-san," Saying his first name so casually felt off for Iida, but the engine teen pressed on. He cleared his throat and gestured a hand towards the white head. "As a group striving to become heroes, it's perfectly fine to ask for help if you're trapped in some kind of abuse. This can be a safe place, if you'd have it." A lot of agreements echoed throughout the locker room, minus any voiced opinions from Bakugo and Todoroki.

Midoriya looked a bit more than concerned.

However Todoroki did have some type of focus on him.

Shinra only eyed the hand before he let out a laugh. "If you're talking about abuse, you're a couple fucking years too late, bud." The warp-user's dark humor obviously caught Iida off guard. Same for a couple others. Nobody else was laughing alongside him, but it didn't stop Shinra from reaching into his locker to continue changing. "Look, it's fine. These are all love marks from my girlfriend. And trust me," Shinra closed his locker and his smile never wavered. There wasn't an ounce of embarrassment or shame as he continued to smile. "If my girl had actually wanted to hurt me, she would've done worse by now."

Shinra pulled on his mask. "Now, let's get a move on. I'm itching for a fight."

So far, the only ones outside and waiting were All Might and the other half of the class, the females all suited up.

The pink-skinned girl put her hands on her hips as she looked back in the tunnel, seeing no sight of the rest of their class. "Any ideas what's keeping the boys?" The acid user asked aloud, getting nods from her classmates. Even All Might was mentally ticking away, hoping the boys would hurry before he pushed himself too far.

Asui placed a finger on her chin. "They're probably sizing each other up."

"Sizing each other up?" Momo asked, slightly confused. "Like who's the strongest?"

Mina waved a hand over her mouth and whispered next to Uraraka. "Yeah, let's go with that."

The brunette took a moment to wonder what her classmate was getting at until it clicked in her head. Her face flushed at the idea and she swatted the pinkette's arm. That did nothing to stop the laughter from Mina.

The punk-rocker next to her scoffed, having heard the underhanded innuendo clear as day. "Boys will be boys if that's the case. Although I wished they'd hurry it up. We're burning daylight."

"Don't get your thong in a twist, we're here." A voice barked from the tunnel, making Jirou blush at the sudden call out. Mina stifled a giggle next to her, only adding to the blush on her face.

"Ah, finally!" All Might laughed as he stretched out his hands. "Now you're all looking like Heroes!" The Symbol took a moment to gaze upon everyone's outfits. There were an easy picking of flashy looking outfits within his class. Those like Todoroki, who's entire left half of his body in cased in pure ice. Bakugo's, who's costume gave him an aura of battle ready intimidation. Or Iida, who's costume made him look like an armored tank on legs.

Then there's Midoriya, which made All Might hold back snickers. The poor fanboy's outfit was a clear replica of what All Might was supposed to be, but he'd let that slide. For now.

"Oooh, is that you Nobu?" A pair of disembodied hands waved around in front of him and Shinra could only blink behind his mask.

The warp-user stood in place as the invisible girl stepped around him, gazing over his costume.

He was never into the flashy looks; mostly prefered if things were just simple. So he opted for a full body dark-blue, nearly black, jumpsuit from his steel-toe combat boots all the way up to his thin-material mask which covered his whole head. There was a large white circle engraved on his back, with thick white lines stretching over to each arm, up along and over his head, and a final connected line that went around his waist. As well as two small pouches strapped to his waist. To add what little flair he could get away with, there was a long white scarf-like sash that wrapped around his neck and hung pass his posterior.

He adjusted his mask, which easily slipped under his suit as to prevent any skin from showing and made sure that his thin-made goggles were placed properly.

"You almost look like some kinda futuristic ninja!" Hagakure gushed as her gloves waved around in excitement.

He had gloves as well. White material fingerless gloves with thin metal knuckle plating.

"Thanks. I was going for the badass stealth look." The invisible girl clapped as Shinra's goggle lens zoomed towards her. Or better yet, her gloves and shoes. Shinra tilted his head. "... Are you fucking naked?"

"Okay everyone let us begin!" All Might's presence boomed over the class who had enough time to gloss over each other's outfits. "Today we'll be going through combat training! A battle simulation if you wish to call it." The Number 1 announced as he held two boxes that had the titles HERO on one and VILLAIN on the other. "As you already know, there will be a time where heroes will be put in situations where they have to fight. Even those who specialize in rescue. There are ambush situations, hostage rescues, and bomb search and disarm. Today we'll go by a raffle system to make teams of two and once the groups are made, I shall randomly select which teams will face each other."

The blonde hero had a stack of papers in his hand. "Once the teams are made, whoever is composed on the villain team will have 5 minutes to learn the layout of their stronghold while the heroes will wait outside and formulate their own plan. After the five minute prelude, the hero team will sneak their way into the building and have 10 minutes to either put capture tape on both villains or get ahold of the bomb hidden on one of the many floors."

Kaminari choked on his words. "B-Bomb!? We're gonna learn how to diffuse a bomb on our second day!?"

All Might coughed into a hand and nervously sweat. "No, no, no! It's a fake replica of a bomb! Completely paper-mache, I give you my word!" The Symbol of Peace promised as he held out slips of paper. "N-Now please, pick a paper and find your groups. And before I forget, there will be 5 minute intervals between matches to give people a chance to plan, evaluate or recuperate!"

As the students filed up to pick the slips of papers, they bundled up in their groups.

Once the groups were settled, All Might called out the names and teams.

Team A: Ochako Uraraka/Izuku Midoriya

Team B: Mezo Shoji/Shoto Todoroki

Team C: Tsuyu Asui/Hanta Sero

Team D: Katsuki Bakugo/Tenya Iida

Team E: Yuga Aoyama/Mina Ashido

Team F: Rikido Sato/Koji Koda

Team G: Denki Kaminari/Kyoka Jiro

Team H: Fumikage Tokoyami/Momo Yaoyorozu

Team I: Mashirao Ojiro/Tohru Hagakure

Team J: Shinra Nobu/Eijiro Kirishima

The redhead he met in the lockers bumped his knuckles on Shinra's shoulder, giving the warp-user a thumbs-up and toothy grin only a shark would love. "Looks like we're gonna bust some heads together."

"Team A will be the heroes vs Team D who will be the villains! Please make your way forward." Unbeknownst by anyone else, Shinra faked a wince as he watched the feud between Bakugo and Midoriya spark once the boys made eye contact. Seeing as how he was the only one in the large group who knew their history, through small talk amongst other students, he knew this was going to be either an extremely brutal confrontation or a hilarious beat-down.

There would be no inbetween.

'Looks like it's a brutal confrontation.' Shinra thought to himself with crossed arms.

For those who weren't doing the battle simulation just yet, the students and All Might resided in a backroom computer station where everyone can safely view the security footage of those matched up. Some people were interested to see what type of fight it would be, but Kirishima was the first to voice his complaint when everyone witness Bakugo dash around the corner like a bat out of hell and tried blowing up Midoriya point plank.

"Oh come on! Ambushing someone isn't manly at all!" The redhead sucked his teeth as All Might answered him, never taking his eyes away from the screens.

"Now pace yourself, young Kirishima. It seems young Bakugo is following his role as a villain quite well."

Asui let out a small ribbit as she added her two cents. "Perhaps a little too well."

As everyone watched Midoriya stand back up with half of his mask burnt to a crisp, they also zeroed in on Bakugo who physically looked disgusted that Midoriya had even dared to raise a battle stance against him. "He's rushing in like a feral dog." Tokoyami's deep voice rolled in with slight distaste, but otherwise kept his opinions to himself. The bird-head hero-in-training gave Shinra a side eye glance. "And you've been watching in near silence. Since you seem to know both of them personally, who do you think is gonna be the victor?"

Shinra's mask gave no indication on what he was feeling. "If it were a proper 1v1, Bakugo would turn Midoriya's ass into glue. But seeing as how Midoriya and Uraraka are working for an objective, there's somewhat less probabilities in play for them. Like if Uraraka can touch Bakugo once and throw him off balance, Midoriya can blast his shit to the moon and afterwards they could tag-team Mr. Roboto. But as it stands right now, Bakugo has intense battle instincts that won't let him get caught off guard so easily."

The other classmates listened to him with interest, since the video footage didn't have sound.

Shinra also took notice that Bakugo was propelling himself forward using his explosions. Shinra arched a brow in surprise. "And I see he learned how to fly. Son of a bitch."

Kaminari stepped up with his arms behind his head. "You sound awfully sure that Bakugo is gonna win." The blonde grinned.

"I never said Bakugo was gonna win this. But I don't really see Midoriya winning this as easily either."

"Really, you're not rooting for your friend?" Mina asked.

Shinra coughed out a laugh. "Bakugo wouldn't be caught dead calling me his friend. We barely knew each other in Junior High. Just like I barely know Midoriya, who suddenly has the power of god and anime on his side after years of not having powers." The warp-user watched as Midoriya managed to grapple Bakugo's right arm and flip him over his shoulder, turning Bakugo's moment into a full body slam to the floor. Color him surprised, the freckled boy knew how to throw down for once in his life. "And while Midoriya can punch hard as hell now, it doesn't look like he can manage it well yet."

"A glass cannon vs a walking nuke." Shoji, the largest teen in the room, commented with a hint of amusement. "It could go into anyone's favor."

"And again, while I'm not saying Bakugo will win, I'm just saying the odds are stacked heavy in his favor."

"Don't count Midori out just yet!" Mina pouted as she pointed at the screen with a smile. "See? He's holding his own!"

That smile faltered when All Might starting calling out in panic.

He saw Bakugo point his right arm towards Midoriya and Uraraka, reaching for the pin on one of his dual grenade gauntlets. The pro hero immediately pressed the microphone button to allow sound. "Young Bakugo, I highly advise that you don't use an attack of that caliber against your fellow classmate, nevertheless inside an enclosed space!" It didn't seem like the bomber was paying the teacher any mind and pulled the pin. "Young Bakugo!"

Even if they weren't in the building as the hero and villain teams, the sudden explosion took out the cameras in the specific hallway, sending a shockwave through the computer room the rest of the class remained in. The last frame of the feed was Midoriya pushing Uraraka out of the way.

"Holy shit!" Jirou grasped at her own hair, suddenly very concerned for the safety of her two classmates. "Is he fucking insane!?"

Kirishima was the one to step forward, looking at the Pro with furrowed brows. "All Might sir, there's no way the match can continue after that! We need to help them!"

Visibly it looked like All Might was struggling against himself as he called out to his students. "Young Midoriya! Young Uraraka! Please respond!"

As everyone was obviously shaken up from the extreme attack, Shinra himself couldn't say he felt the same. In fact, the teen felt his heart pumping at the prospect of extreme danger. He wanted to jump into the fray and let loose too! A wide smile formed under his mask. "Don't worry, Midoriya is fine." Shinra announced confidently. "Bakugo's a lunatic, but he'd never purposely maim someone."

Kirishima whipped around at Shinra, clearly a bit peeved that the warp-user was treating the incident like a joke. "And how would you know!? You just said you and Bakugo weren't friends! For all we know, Midoriya could be burnt to a crisp!"

For a moment, it was unnerving for the redhead when he grey tinted goggles focused on him.

"Because I've fought Bakugo myself." Shinra admitted easily. "He tried the same explosion on me and purposely aimed it away it so it wouldn't dismember me. He's not stupid."

Jirou pointed to the screens, which were now starting to flicker back online. "You mean to tell me you faced off against that psycho and lived to brag about it?"

"I didn't just live to brag about it." Shinra snapped back with a sudden crack of attitude. "He's an arrogant little fucker and tried that shit against me. He made the mistake of talking shit so I taught him a lesson and put his ass in the fucking hospital." The sudden declaration of Shinra revealed that he hospitalized the bomber caught people off guard. Some didn't believe him outright, but that didn't mean they weren't looking at him like an active threat.

If he was capable of going toe-to-toe with a walking nuke, then what the hell was he capable of?

"Young Bakugo, I'm giving you a final warning." All Might's voice cut in, with an oddly serious tone, catching the attention of his students. "If you use an attack like that again, I'm ending the battle and it will result in your lost. Do you hear me?" From the security feeds that came back online, the rest of them watched Bakugo sneer towards Midoriya, who had burns all over his costume. "I said, do you understand me?" The strict, authoritative voice threatened over the comms.

Bakugo sucked his teeth and nodded.

"Good. The match will continue."

"What!?" A bunch of voices called out. "Sensei, you can't be serious!"

All Might sighed as he responded in a softer tone. "I know it seems bad, however Young Midoriya understands the risk of these battles. You all do. If Young Midoriya wants to surrender, I will not hold it against him, but I will make sure to keep the match from going to the extreme again. You have my word, students." Then All Might turned an eye towards Shinra, who remained near the back of the group. Having heard what the boy said, All Might felt he needed to say "Young Nobu, please refrain from purposely hospitalizing anyone. We're here to learn. Not turn mock battles into deathmatches."

"Bakugo had it coming, but whatever." Shinra retorted nonchalantly, but it didn't give much comfort to those who didn't know if they were gonna face off against him.

"If you don't mind me asking," Asui stepped over, the frog girl tilting her head. "What exactly did Bakugo do that made you attack him?"

"First of all, he came to me and challenged me to a fight." Shinra corrected her with crossed arms. Then, even though his voice was casual, there was some edge to his words. "I took him on, we fought a bit and he thought it was a good idea to make jabs about my little sister. That's when I attacked him. Broke his fucking jaw and gave him a concussion. Took him out of school for a couple weeks, but I'd say it was funny seeing him cough blood on the ground and give me space afterwards." There was a mocking chuckle that didn't make him seem any better than Bakugo.

'Don't make fun of his family, got it.' was a general thought.

Asui continued to stare at him. "You're crazy."

"Damn right I am."

All Might sighed to himself. 'Those two are gonna need therapy.'

The rest of the clock ran down, but not before the Hero Team managed a surprising comeback.

If he didn't have his mask on, Shinra would've whistled when he witnessed Midoriya tank a point black explosion and managed to punch a hole to the top of the building. Sacrificing both of his arms, the green bean gave Uraraka a chance to catch Iida off guard and pelt him him with weightless rubble from Midoriya's attack, furthermore giving the brunette enough time to latch herself to the fake bomb and give her team the victory.

"Hero Team: WINS!" All Might's voice boomed, earning the cheers from several of the class. With that, Shinra felt a gust of air as the Pro Hero dashed through the doors. Most likely going to check upon Midoriya to see how well the poor teen was faring. As the medic bots rolled in on the scene, the students let out collective breaths as the intermediate time between matches gave them time to unwind.

"That was intense." Mina whined as she let her arms sag at her sides. "I thought Midori was gonna bite the dust!"

"Yeah, you said it." Jirou agreed, rubbing the back of her neck and scowling. "Who know we'd have a ticking time bomb in our class."

Then the punk-rock felt someone tap her shoulder. Hagakure stepped close and whispered. "Actually we might have two." The floating glove gave a quick and subtle gesture towards Shinra, who remained standing in silence. "Think he was telling the truth about beating Bakugo?"

"I don't know. A part of me thinks he's bluffing, but..." Jirou sighed as she felt uneasy just looking at him. "Something feels off about him."

"What do you mean?"

"When Midoriya got blasted, I could hear Shinra's heartbeat." The rocker admitted, raising up one of her earphone jacks in full display. Jirou began to clarify. "I can listen to people's heartbeats to tell how stressed they feel and his heart rate didn't change the way it was supposed to. It's like he didn't care one bit about someone nearly dying in front of him in 4K." Then she paused. "But his heart definitely picked up a bit. Almost like he was excited about something. Tch, that dude gives me the creeps."

She felt a chill go through her spine.

Shinra was looking at her. "If you're gonna talk shit, just know I have no problems beating the fuck out of a girl." The brazen comment threw Kirishima for a loop as the redhead took a step near his soon-to-be partner.

"Hey, come on bro, there's no need-"

"No need to what?" Shinra feigned confusion as he glared at Kirishima through his goggles. "I don't pick favorites. Girls, boys. We're all trying to be heroes right? Then that means I don't have to pull my punches if someone has an issue." He'd be damned if he'd let someone run their mouth and not expect to put money where their mouth is. But the underlying threat hit its mark, making Jirou silent as to prevent anything from escalating.

"That's not proper Hero conduct." Momo called out, showing her clear disapproval.

"Blow me." Shinra bit back. They couldn't see it, but he was grinning.

This was like a game to him.

He wasn't angry. No. There was no way some rich girl and closet gay was going to get under his skin.

He couldn't care less.

But it would be a lie if he said he didn't anticipate wiping that expression of superiority off her face.

That's when All Might stepped back into the room, holding out a hand. "I have returned!" Behind him, everyone from the first match excluding Midoriya followed in suite. "Young Midoriya will be spending time in the infirmary, but as for now, let's evaluate the first mock battle. Who'd like to go first?" Momo was the quickest to raise her hand, speaking off lists of who did the best and who did worst.

Midoriya had been careless with control of his quirk and took needless damage.

Uraraka treated the exercise like a game and could have damaged the bomb with her improv final tactic.

Bakugo had obviously went off the deep end, putting a risk to everyone including himself in the building and failed to work cooperatively with his partner.

Apparently Iida had been the one to receive MVP for the first match, to which the teen took in with barely concealed excitement.

All Might, obviously not expecting such a keen eye for details, coughed into his hand. "Uh, y-yes. That will do. Thank you, Young Yaoyorozu." The heiress nodded as she stepped back into the group of children while All Might pulled out the slip of paper with the roster. "Next will be Team C Heroes vs Team I Villains!"

Once again, the students settled into their own social groups while Shinra stayed in the back, observing in solitude.

This was an interesting match-up, or at least somewhat. Mostly because Shinra had his eye on Todoroki. For a teen who had less facial expressions than a brick wall, Shinra could tell the teen was a powerhouse. Calm, collected. He just wanted to the see the boy in action. And much to everyone's surprise and his humor, the match had already ended before it could even start.

It couldn't even be considered a match.

The elemental teenager had told his partner to step outside and within seconds of touching the wall with his right hand, a thick layer of ice took hold of the entire building. Both Ojiro and Hagakure had been rendered immobile immediately as Todoroki casually made his way up the stairs and towards the bomb. Unable to stop him, Ojiro cursed to himself as Todoroki simply placed his palm on the bomb.

As soon as All Might called out his team's victory, Shinra took note of the steam billowing from all around the room. "So he's capable of using ice and fire, huh...?" He mumbled to himself.

Oh yeah, he was interesting.

"Okay, next match will be between Team H Heroes!" Everyone watched as Momo and Tokoyami nodded their heads in acknowledgement. "And the Villains will be Team J!" The heiress and crow made eye contact with Shinra and Kirishima. There was no tension, but Kirishima offered them a thumbs up in advance for a good fight while Shinra gave them a peace sign over his chest.

"Huh, this thing is a bit bigger than I thought." Shinra took note of the size of the paper-mache bomb.

Next to him, Kirishima was rolling his arms in an effort to loosen up his joints before the match. "Got any idea on how we're gonna take them on?" The redhead asked, willing to listen to any advice.

Shinra pulled his mask up just a bit over his forehead. He grinned. "I do, actually. I'll defend the bomb. I want you to bum-rush the hell out of Tokoyami."

Kirishima slowly nodded. "Just Tokoyami?" Then he blinked and glared at him. "This better not be some way to get revenge, is it?"

Shinra waved his arm. "No, I'm not that petty. But I'm a good judge of character. Bird boy looks strong, but I don't know his quirk just yet. However, while I don't know Yaoyorozu's either, she seems more like the tactical kind, from how she evaluated the first two matches herself. She'd probably try to pinpoint the bombs location while Tokoyami acts like a vanguard. She'll probably try to split off from him and expect both of us to rush down the stairs and attack head on, using Tokoyami as a distraction while she finds this bad boy right here."

The warp-user wrapped his knuckle against the pseudo-bomb.

"So between the two of them, she needs to go down first."

Kirishima blinked. "Wow, and you figured all that out just from looking at them? Did you even think about where my quirk comes in?"

"Not really, but my Spatial Rend can be a real bitch to deal with." Shinra crossed his arms and leaned against the bomb. "Speaking of, what is your quirk anyway?"

Like flipping a switch, Kirishima extended his arms and his skin turned jagged. The redhead grinned. "I can Harden my skin to be as durable as a rock. It's not much and it's pretty simple, but it's also a problem to go against."

"I'll say." Shinra matched Kirishima's grin. "That's even better. Have the shield act as the sword while the sword plays the role of goalie. In fact, it would do well if you acted like a distraction too. Get the drop on them, make a lotta noise and throw them off guard." The warp-user tapped the earpiece. "Just make sure you keep in touch."

"Got it." The Hardening User nodded. "By the way, you got any Trump Cards I should know about?"

"You know what? I do." Shinra laughed. "I doubt I'll have to use it, but I call it Neverland."

"Let the match BEGIN!"

Down 5 floor levels, a window was forced open by two large hands of dark matter. An avian shaped head with glowing eyes peered in the room, checking out the surroundings before retreating back through the window. "Coast is clear!" A scratchy, distorted voice spoke as Tokoyami was pulled through the window. Reaching down, Tokoyami grunted with a little effort as he pulled at Momo's arm, helping the heiress through the window frame. "Thank you, Dark Shadow."

"Okay, we made it in." Momo whispered. "We don't have a lot of time, so I need you to cover me."

"Understood."

The duo blinked in confusion when the floor above them rumbled, as if something was smashing its way through the walls. They heard a muffled shout of "Come on out!" as the rumbling got closer. "Let's move!" Tokoyami ordered as he led the charge, barging through the door. The plan wasn't to face off Kirishima. If they had to come to blows with the redhead, both Tokoyami and Momo agreed to prevent a drawn battle less they wanted to burn through time.

Momo had been the one to suggest the idea of tag-teaming Shinra, with the knowledge of his portals becoming an immediate threat.

As long as they either captured Kirishima quick or lured him away long enough, they had a chance at victory.

She just needed time-

The didn't realize the rumbling had stopped for a while until the ceiling behind them collapsed on itself, with a redhead dropped down with a toothy smirk. "Found you!" With a battle cry, the brawler rushed forward, his eyes locked on his first target.

There was a light, almost as if rainbow pixels expelled from her arm, and within an instant, a metallic shield sprouted from Momo's arm just as Kirishima tried bulldozing her with a strong right hook. There was a grating sound as sparks flew from contact of hardened skin against metal, but the sheer force of his attack sent Momo stumbling back with a startled cry. "Go Dark Shadow!" Was all Kirishima heard before he witnessed a large hand of shadowy mass erupt from Tokoyami's cloak. The redhead braced himself with crossed arms over his chest as the massive punch sent him flying off his feet and into the wall at the end of the hallway.

"Get ready!"

The impact of crashing had barely winded him compared to the punch he was just given. But that didn't mean he was down for the count. Kirishima pulled himself from the rubble and his adrenaline spiked as he brought up his hands. However, he really didn't expect to see a floating apparition of shadows looking down at him with threatening yellow eyes. "What the-" was all the brawler got out before he was pummeled into the ground by a flurry of lighter, but faster punches.

The redhead coughed out the dirt and smoke that got in his mouth as he found himself one floor lower. With a grunt of annoyance, he tapped his earpiece. "Shinra, they managed to push me back for a moment, but they're both trying to find you." Before he had been punched through the floor, he saw a trail of shadows leading round the corner, with no Tokoyami and Momo in sight.

His earpiece buzzed. "Which floor were they on? And which one are you on?"

It took a moment for Kirishima to get his bearings. As he pushed himself back to his feet, "I'm on Floor 2. They're on 3 and they took a left at Room 5. They should be reaching Door 13 any second."

"Bet. Hurry up and jump through."

A golden portal appeared in front of him and the redhead smirked before he dashed into it.

As if the world around him warped reality itself, Kirishima popped out of a sudden portal with another battle cry. This time, Tokoyami didn't have time to react before a hardened first clocked him in the cheek, sending him reeling down the staircase. Momo yelped at the sudden jumpscare, not expecting Kirishima to return so soon and knock her partner down the stairs. "H-Holy shit!" Dark Shadow's form seemed to 'glitch' for a moment as if he and his host lost connection for a moment. The apparition rushed back to check on his partner, who was groaning on the ground. "Oi oi, you good Fumi?"

Tokoyami rubbed the now bleeding spot on his forehead. "Forget about me, protect Yaoyorozu!"

The sentient quirk quickly turned around to see said teammate getting pushed back by Kirishima's barrage of punches against her shield. Forgetting his host, Dark Shadow lunged forward and grasped Kirishima by the shoulders. Picking the teen up, Kirishima had the grace to harden his body immediately once he felt Dark Shadow slam him downwards through the metal stairs. "And stay down!" The quirk bellowed.

There was a laugh as this time Kirishima bounced back almost immediately. His hands balled into hardened fists. He looked the quirk in the eye and smirk. "You're gonna have to hit me harder than that! I barely felt that!" He taunted back as he banged his knuckles together, sparking flying off as he rushed the dark apparition. "I can do this all day!" The redhead jumped over another punch with the purpose of putting him in the dirt again, bounced off the shadow limb and delivered a clean hit against Dark Shadow's face.

As the two continued there brawl, Momo saw Tokoyami stand back on his two feet and he somewhat steadily made his way back up the stairs. "Dark Shadow, get him out of our way!" She ordered once she realized Kirishima was blocking their path.

"Easier said than done lady!" The shadow grunted as he and the brawler went at it like angered boxers.

"Is it almost done?" Tokoyami muttered as he stepped near Momo. He was slightly dizzy, but he wasn't ready to call it quits just yet.

"As a matter of fact, yes." The same rainbow pixels appeared over the exposed skin of her stomach. A small handheld device dropped in her hand. "With this, we'll be able to find him faster no matter where he is." Tokoyami looked at the device in her hand and saw it ping. A radar.

"A heartbeat scanner?" The bird nodded in approval. "Your quirk is worth the recommendation, Yaoyorozu."

"Please, call me Momo." The heiress smiled before she turned her attention back to the fight at hand. "However, we can't get by unless we get Kirishima out of our way."

"Let me handle that. Dark Shadow!" His host called out, catching the shadow's attention long enough to get sucker punched by Kirishima. "We don't have time! Go for the lights!" Hearing the order, Dark Shadow caught Kirishima's arm and swung him around like a ragdoll. For each light he took out using the redhead as a club, the dark body got larger until spikes started to grow down Dark Shadow's spine. "Now!"

"You're starting to annoy me." Dark Shadow's voice had become a few octaves deeper and Kirishima's eyes widened as he felt the full force of his body get thrown through 3 floors down to the basement. Kirishima groaned as he felt his Harden wear down. "I have to hit you harder, huh?" He heard the voice call out and peeked a giant purple and black hand form into a fist. "How's this feel!?"

Kirishima quickly tapped his earpiece. "Don't let them break the lights-"

At the top of the building, Shinra nearly winced at the loud and rushed message in his ear before he felt a strong rumble a couple floors down.

"Eijiro Kirishima is knocked out! He's out of the fight!" All Might's voice called out.

"Rest in Peace." Shinra wiped a fake tear as he heard the rushing footsteps. Cracking his neck, the fighter steeled himself with an excited grin as he reached in the two pockets at his waist. In front of him, the door to the final room crashed open and the door slid across the floor. "It's showtime." Through the smoke of the assault, he saw two glowing yellow eyes and Shinra whipped his hands forward.

Tokoyami was the first to step through the doorway, his mouth opened as he readied to speak. Only for his quirk to converge in front of both him and his partner.

Dark Shadow hissed in minor annoyance as 4 shuriken stars crossed the room in seconds, embedding them in the arm he used to protect Momo and his host. "You're gonna have to try harder than that, fucko." It did catch Shinra off guard to see a literal monster of shadows uncoil from his two opponents.

"The hell is that?" The warp-user asked. Then he shook his head. "No, nevermind. Later."

But that didn't deter him from the objective at hand.

"Surrender the bomb, Shinra." Momo said aloud, shield in hand and a bo staff at her ready while Tokoyami took a stance to move.

Shinra laughed. "What bomb?"

That's when the duo realized that there indeed no large paper-mache bomb in the room. It was just them against him.

"Guess I'll beat it out of you." Dark Shadow growled as he launched forward, throwing a punch to pummel him into the ground like he did Kirishima. He didn't expect Shinra to vault forward and over the opposing hand like he didn't weigh a thing. The warp-user starting spinning through the air, bringing his right foot down in a heavy dropkick down on Dark Shadow's head, stunning the quirk. "Urk!" The shadow grunted as the ninja made a beeline straight for the duo. "He's fast!"

"Quick, we need to find the bomb!" Momo suggested in a rush.

Tokoyami shook his head as he raised his arms to block. "No time! We gotta capture him!"

"You know, I never expected a 1v3 situation!" Shinra bantered as he jumped towards Momo with a flying kick. She brought up her shield to cover, but the force of his kick sent her skidding back until her back collided against the wall and causing her to drop her staff in the process.

Using the impact of her shield as a trampoline, Shinra landed on his hands before he spun himself around and brought his legs down in a swinging kick, taking out Tokoyami's balance in the process. The bird head grunted as he fell on his back and felt the end of a metallic staff touch his beak. He looked up to see Shinra holding Momo's weapon down at him. "Surrender or this will get a whole lot rougher."

"I don't think so."

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a shadowy fist fly towards him. Spinning the staff in his hand, he gripped the weapon with both hands to block the fist as much as he could. Gritting his teeth with exertion, Shinra felt his traction against the floor lessen. Before he could react, Momo had sprung back to her feet and charged him. She aimed a low kick at the back of one of his legs, bringing him to his knees and just when he turned to look at her, he saw a shield coming down on his head.

Using a single arm to brace against the blunt attack, Shinra had left himself open to Dark Shadow, who's enlarged hands gripped his body like a toy. "Hn!" Shinra winced as he felt his body crush a little under the pressure. His arms were bound tightly at his sides. He was brought up until he was at eye level with the quirk. Yellow eyes met golden eyes.

"... Hello there." He joked with a slight strain.

"Where's the bomb?"

"A 'please' would be nice."

"Stop stalling, Shinra. You've been caught." Tokoyami announced as he stepped forward.

"See, that's the thing... I'm not. I don't have capture tape on me." The warp-user laughed as he stopped struggling in the shadow's hold. "And funny enough... Kirishima had told me something real interesting about lights." Before Dark Shadow could react or before Momo could tie him with the tape, a giant portal open up overhead all 4 of them and intense concentrated sunlight came down on them.

"Son of a-" The shadow quirk roared as the light caused his body to shrink down and hastily retreat back into Tokoyami's body.

"And just like that, it's my win."

Tokoyami's eyes widened as Shinra's feet barely touched the ground before the teen shot off like a bullet towards him. The crow had attempted to raise his arms, but Shinra had hoped for that.

"I notice you let your quirk do all the fighting." The warp-user's left hand latched onto Tokoyami's right arm, pulling it to the side and leaving his front exposed to a heavy open palm to the chest. With the air knocked out of him, the bird-headed teen couldn't react quick enough as Shinra pulled his weight over his shoulder and body slammed him into the ground. "And that's why you can't beat me." The warp-user immediately followed up with a heavy punch to the abdomen which left Tokoyami down and out long enough for Shinra to switch targets to Momo.

But that didn't mean she wasn't ready.

Seeing him rush her, Momo lifted her shield to block the incoming punch.

What she didn't expect was a miniature portal to open up on both sides of the shield, allowing Shinra's fist clean access to her stomach. Spit escaped Momo's lips as she keeled over. Shinra's hands reached out and grabbed sides of her head, bringing her face down low enough to take a knee to the nose. Feeling her nose crunch under the impact, Momo groaned in pain and her first reaction was to cover her face.

Shinra took the opening and gave her two quick punches to the heir's stomach again.

Grunting, but getting her bearings back, Momo focused through the pain and steeled herself. Forgoing the shield once she realized he could tear through her defenses, she opted for offense. Light built up on her left palm as a long metal staff reformed and once it was at a full length, she gripped it with the grace of a trained fighter and began dancing the pale between her fingers.

"Ooh, that's a neat trick." Shinra's taunt slowly crawled over her nerves, but the heiress focused only on the fight at hand. She rushed him, gripping the staff with both hands and thrusting forward. His footwork and balance was a marvel, she had to admit, but it was also proving to add to her frustration when the teen kept backpedalling and leaning his head to the sides quick enough to dodge. And because of the mask, she couldn't even tell if he was getting tired out.

She upped her game. This time, she pulled the staff back and started to dance the weapon all around her body to gain speed in her swings.

Shinra focused on dodging, unable to really get close as to prevent himself from getting whacked in the skull. But he was watching closely, trying to find a pattern.

Except just when he thought he did, the bo staff came for a brutal upwards swing towards his chin. He could feel the wind pressure from the swing that just missed by an inch. His eyes momentarily trailed to the raising staff, keeping his view above and giving Momo the opportunity to hop in her step and deliver a roundhouse kick to his ribs. 'That actually hurt...!' Shinra coughed as he stepped back.

Seeing him reel back gave Momo a burst of energy as she pulled back and charged with another lunge.

"I starting to think," She heard Shinra speak out as he ducked under her first strike and reel back his right hand. "This fight has gone on long enough." She realized she was caught mid-step and couldn't pivot herself out of the way. Closing her eyes, she braced herself as a hard open palm slammed under her jaw and she felt weightless. A hand grabbed onto one of her ankles and pulled her downwards, just as she heard the sparks of one of his portals.

She was free falling and a cold drop in her stomach realized she was falling through each of the building's floors without stopping.

Bracing herself for impact, she finally came to a crash and the heartbeat scanner clattered to the ground away from her. Her body quivered from the shock. "Ah! My shoulder...!" She hissed once the sharp twinge of pain reverberated through her right arm. She coughed and her body strained itself to push itself back up.

"You know, I didn't expect Miss High and Mighty to actually put in work." Shinra's voice echoed around her and her head shot up.

She realized how dark it was in the room. No windows, but the only light working was the one above her.

"You really like hearing yourself talk, don't you?" She bit back a wince when she jostled her dislocated shoulder.

A laugh. "Yeah, I kinda do. I like pissing people off."

Momo sucked her teeth. It was like dealing with an immature child.

"Are you just gonna talk or are you going to stop hiding and face me?"

"... Yeah, you're right." Why did his voice sound like it was closer? "It's always fun playing the bad guy."

Momo's blood started pumping as she tried scanning her surroundings.

It was silent for a moment before her opponent chuckled. "It's obvious you've never been in a real fight before."

Dread filled her being and then she heard rushing footsteps coming from behind her. On instinct, she spun on her heels with light emanating from her palm and the only thing she saw was a fist before her head rocked to the side. She felt something warm gush from her nose as another swing hit her in the nose from the left. A third came as an uppercut. The heiress stumbled back a couple of steps as she spat out blood, struggling to stay on her feet.

Squinting open an eye, Momo blinked in confusion when Shinra wasn't in front of her.

Momo's mouth opened with a silent scream as she felt an elbow drive itself into the center of her back. The feeling in her body leaving her all in an instant, Shinra followed up by grabbing her good arm and pulling it back. His remaining hand grabbed the back of her head as he hooked his leg in front of her's. "Goodnight." With a grunt, Shinra tipped her balance and slammed the heiress' face down onto the concrete.

All Might's voice immediately cut in. "Both Fumikage Tokoyami and Momo Yaoyorozu are knocked out! The winners are the Villains!"

"And that takes care of that."

With a huff, the warp-user stood back up while Momo remained motionless on the floor.

Shinra heard beeping and looked over to see the heartbeat scanner a couple feet away.

He crushed the device under his boot.

"Now where's Kirishima?"

Having watched the fight through security drones, nobody in the class had much to say as they were stunned at how easily and brutally Shinra took down two, technically three, opponents by himself with ease. The only one who hadn't felt much surprise was Bakugo, who was still feeling shaken from his match with Midoriya. He knew how dangerous the warp-user was up close. He physically remembered.

Kaminari stood next to Jirou and leaned over. "I, for one, do not recommend pissing off the teleporting ninja."

The punk-rocker couldn't even make a sarcastic retort. She just nodded dumbly.

"He only got hit once." Uraraka spoke in astonishment. She was starting to believe Midoriya's claims. Next to her, it seemed like Iida was having the same train of thought.

Hagakure hummed in distaste. "Y'know, for someone who's aiming to be a hero, he sure plays a villain a little too well."

"Yeah, like Bomb Boy over there." Mina jutted a finger towards the explosive quirk teen in question, who surprisingly didn't respond or even react. "Especially that ending! Seemed kinda overkill when he could've just capture taped her and Tokoyami. Right?"

"I believe it was a fair show of force." The warp-user explained himself as he walked into the room. Behind him were Tokoyami and Kirishima, who had woken up shortly after the match. Momo had been ferried off to the infirmary.

All eyes were on him as the teen pulled off his mask. He was smiling a wide smile, as if he was still on the high from fighting. "For heroes-to-be, it's a good reminder that villains aren't gonna pull punches. And it didn't matter if they're a male or female. In fact, females will end up in a worse situation if they're captured. So I exploited a couple weaknesses and gave them a push they won't forget. As well as a lesson for the mistake they should learn from."

Tokoyami grunted as he rubbed his aching stomach. "And that would be?"

"For you, learn how to fight using your own hands and feet." Shinra was quick to answer as he placed a friendly hand on his opponent's shoulder. "I got inside your comfort zone and fucked your shit up fast. But that's not what I'm talking about. For anyone here, if you have to face a warp type quirk, never let your guard down while they're still conscious. Doesn't matter if I'm tied up or not, I'll get out. And that means they will get out too."

"Easier said than done." Kaminari grumbled aloud. "Not everyone can move around like a ninja."

"Yeah, why are you even telling us this?" Kirishima asked with a raised brow. "Doesn't it take away your advantage?"

Shinra scoffed as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. Then he remembered that warp quirks were surprisingly rare in the superhuman society. "Not really. It's not a weakness, it's a recommendation. Knock them the fuck out, or they'll probably warp everyone around them to a volcano and take them out with 'em. Which is a real shitty ending for anyone that can't fly." The gruesome scenario left people nervous at the prospect of actually fighting something like that. On one hand, they can only teleport and fight with the strength of a normal human. But to be pulled and dropped off anywhere without help is a scary thing to imagine.

"Speaking of," He felt Hagakure tug at the material of his suit. "You really don't really seem like the stealthy ninja type. You kinda talk too much during a fight."

"And you're cocky." Kaminari added.

"Aggressive." Tokoyami also added.

Dark Shadow popped out of Tokoyami's cloak and held up one of his talons. "And a bitch."

"That was unnecessary." His host chastised.

"What? He is! Did you not see how smug he was? I had him in my claws and I could've popped him like a grape, but he had to be like, 'Oh, did you try saying please'! Like who does that!?"

Shinra just stared at the quirk before looking at the others. "Ya know, I never did get to register the fact that his quirk is actually sentient." The white head looked passed the talking shadow and grinned like an excited child. "It's almost like having a twin! What's that like?"

The bird teen sighed. "It's not as great as it might seem."

"Hey! I'm right here!"

"As you are at night. When you get loud." Tokoyami gave the quirk a long stare. "When I'm trying to sleep!"

"What can I say, I'm nocturnal."

A hand smacked Shinra in the shoulder. "Oi, you still didn't answer my question. I'm curious!" Hagakure whined.

Shinra furrowed his brows. "I really don't see why it's so important. It's just a costume."

"I guess it's more cuz the costume makes the hero, y'know?" Kirishima tried to explain before scratching the back of his head with a sheepish smile. "And I can't lie and say I'm not interested too."

"Y'all are weird." Shinra said bluntly, rolling his eyes. Reaching into one of the pouches in his hero costume, he pulled out a lengthy throwing weapon; a kunai. He swung the tool around his finger. "I was trained by a ninja themed heroine, who's also my caretaker. It's more of a way to show respect to her more than anything. And that's all I'm gonna say. She kinda likes her privacy and she'd beat my ass into next week if she heard I spilled the beans." That only seemed to make the students wanna learn more. To be privately trained by a Pro Hero was considered way more than lucky. Honestly, it almost seemed unfair. Like he was given a head-start while they were just beginning.

"Okay everyone, breaks over!" The Number 1 Hero bellowed as he read out the roster. "Onto the next match!"

And that's the end of Chapter 2!

I could've kept it going, but I decided to keep a limit to 11-12k words each page, to prevent too quick pacing, I guess. I'm definitely feeling this project though. Makes me happy people wanna read it at least. Although, I still don't know how I feel making fight scenes. Like I can imagine the fights in my head, but can't seem to write it out properly without it seeming repetitive or overly detailed, you know? And as you can tell, Shinra definitely has a boner for violence and isn't afraid to speak his mind.

Or beat down a girl.

And as you can see, I'm trying to fit more personality in other characters. *Cough, Cough!* Best Birb Boi *Cough, Cough!*

Regardless, I still feel like this chapter was well done. Could've been better, possibly. But that also means it could've been worse. Don't hesitate to let me know!
