Kyoya sits on the edge of a rooftop and pulls out a cigar and a lighter.
"So, what brought you up here?" Kyoya asks as he turns to see Hikaru standing next to the door.
"How observant of you." She chuckles before sitting down next to him. "Maybe I thought you could use the company. What, you want to mope alone? If so I can head home."
"I won't stop you from making your own choices." Kyoya takes a drag off the cigar and exhales a big puff of smoke. "So is this for business of pleasure?"
"A mix of both. If it was just strictly business I would have sent you the details over the phone.
"And risk the wrong person getting a hold of it?"
"The WBBA has a way of securing phone lines."
"I wonder what the civs would think if they knew that?"
"Cry about it then forget it ever happened."
"Yeah that sounds about right." He looks over to her and pulls out a small box. "You smoke?"
"No, but I do enjoy a good margarita every now and then." She stands up, hands him a folder, then turns back to the door. "You have my number, give me a call once you're done." She walks back inside the apartment complex and closes the door as he turns back as the sun slowly creeps it's way over the horizon. He looks back to see that she has left and stands back up, puts the folder in his jacket, puts his cigar out, and heads back in. He sits at an old coffee table and looks over the contents.
"Asset extraction? That's a first. Hmmm." Kyoya reads the Intel some more and notices something. "I see, this guy has info on That Man." Kyoya grabs some gear and heads down, and hops on his motorcycle and rides towards Tokyo. "It's gonna be a long ride, why the hell didn't they just give me a ticket on the bullet train? It's only about a three, four hour ride in comparison to an eight, nine hour ride." Kyoya bitches to himself as he enters the freeway. All the while, Gingka drags a bunch of bags out of a van.
"Come on Gingka, we are going to be late for check in." His now wife, Madoka, shouts at him as he carries the luggage up a fleet of steps.
"We have… an hour and a half… before our flight woman." Gingka says, catching his breath as he reaches the top of the steps.
"We still need to check in our bags. So hurry up." Madoka walks off again, leaving her husband to carry most of the stuff.
"Would it hurt to maybe carry some of your shit?" Gingka yells at her as it shows Kyoya, hopping off his bike and slings his Russian made AK-47 over his back and holsters his Python Revolver as he arrives at an old storage facility as dusk starts to turn to night.
"This is the place I was meant to meet him. It says he should be in here." He walks up to the security shack and knocks on the door, with there being no response. "Hello, is anyone there?" Still nothing in response. "Fuck it, I don't have time to waste. Alrighty I'm coming in." He kicks down the door and points his rifle at a body, with the head missing. "What the hell?" He reslings his rifle and pulls out a black light, revealing a disturbing amount of blood splatter. He investigates the corpse some more. "Whatever it was, it wasn't an explosive, there would be damage done to the shoulders, and they look rather clean. If I had to guess, the poor son of a bitch was kissing the end of an M82." Kyoya says, in a sorrowful tone as the lights in the room turn on, and Kyoya turns, drawing his revolver in the process, to see Ryuga standing there with a smirk.
"Hello old pal."
"Ryuga, I heard you were still a shit stain on this god forsaken planet."
"And I see you still have your silver violin."
"You did this, didn't you?"
"Depends, were you here for the info he had on That Man?"
"What was that?"
"Then yes I did, and to be fair, that was going to be my answer either way."
"You son of a bitch." Kyoya chokes up on the grip and before he can pull the trigger, Ryuga kicks his hand up, making him fire a round into the ceiling. Ryuga brings his foot back down for an axe kick that Kyoya catches with his free hand.
"Not bad, I expected as much from Gingka's backup dancers." Kyoya brings the Python back down and fires, just missing the six shots.
"Damn." He puts the Revolver back in the holster.
"You know, you should try different ammo types, like say 9mm Makarov." Ryuga says with a smirk as he pulls out a Makarov and fires. Kyoya's eyes turn from dark green to a bright green as he moves at a faster speed, causing his foe to miss. And he tackles Ryuga through the wall. "God damn Soviets need everything to be as brain dead simple as possible." Ryuga tosses the pistol at Kyoya who moves his head out of the way.
"So, I take it you're That Man?"
"Strange time to ask that, but no."
"Then who is it?"
"I ain't telling you anything."
"If you cooperate with me, I can get you a lesser sentence."
"You know, that is really nice and all but I got a thing to do in the Caribbean, bye now." Ryuga snaps his fingers and disappears.
"What the?" Kyoya looks on in confusion before walking to his bike. "I have a sneaking suspicion the pen pushers will think." It cuts to Kyoya in an office.
"This is a fever dream." Kenta says as he tosses a few papers stapled together down in front of him. "So let me get this right, you show up to the building?"
"Yep."
"And then you find the body with his face blown off?"
"His head."
"Right, so you found his decapitated body and then Ryuga showed up."
"Yep."
"And then you two started to fight. And then he just disappeared?"
"Yeah, that's about right." Kenta rubs his eyes and sighs.
"Calm down Yumia." Ryo walks in as Kyoya stands up.
"Do I not get paid because of Ryuga?"
"You'll get your money, it was out of your control. Now come, I wish to speak with you real quick." The two walk to the elder Hagane's office and sit at his desk. Kyoya notices a picture of when the gang was all kids.
"I know that you're the big boss and all, but what do you want from me?" Kyoya asks as he turns to the father of his old friend who grabs a bottle of an expensive bottle of Scotch.
"Care for a drink?"
"I'm my own ride, so I'm good. Not only that but I feel somewhat inclined to take Hikaru out for some drinks later."
"I see." He sets the bottle back in the liquor cabinet. "So, did the psycho say why he was there?"
"He wanted the same info I was there for, he just got there before me."
"Is that so, did he give any clues as to who That Man is?"
"All he said is it's not him. But then again it's Ryuga so I don't trust him for about as far as I can throw him."
"Right, is there anything else?"
"He said he was going to the Carrabians. Didn't say what for but if I had to guess, he's going to cause a lot of problems."
"Wait, where is he going?"
"The Caribbeans. Probably because it's a big tourist hotspot."
"SHIT." Ryo starts to freak out and grabs his phone. All the while Gingka and Madoka are sitting on a plane, in first class of course, and the flight crew finish preparation for takeoff. Gingka looks down to see that his father is calling.
"Gingka I thought we agreed not to take anything involving work." He looks to his right to see that Madoka saw the screen and didn't look too happy.
"Yeah but it's my dad, I feel kinda obligated to answer. Besides, he might be wishing us a safe honeymoon." Gingka says as a member of the crew walks up.
"Sir, can you turn your phone off, we are about to take off."
"But I."
"Just call him back after we land."
"Alright, fine." Gingka turns the phone off as Ryo puts his phone in his pocket in anger.
"Damn it, Kyoya, follow me. I've got another job for you."
"What's the problem here?" Kyoya asks with a confused look.
"That's where Gingka and Madoka are going for their honeymoon."
"How ironic. Or do you think?"
"Knowing him, probably a happy little coincidence. But also knowing him.
"It's because Gingka will be there."
"Bingo." The older Hagane pulls out a radio from his suit jacket. "Prepare my jet, and let our Caribbean counterpart I'll be there shortly."
"Yes sir, anything else to let them know?"
"Have plenty of 7.62x39 and .357 Magnum, hopefully we don't need it." Ryo says as he puts the radio up.
"Looks like I won't be getting any sleep." Kyoya mumbles to himself. "How long is a one way trip to the place anyways?"
"It's about a day so you can catch up on sleep on the way." Ryo says as the two make their way to the tarmac.
"Sure you want to go, with you being the head director it might be better for you to stay here?" Kyoya says as the door is closed after they step into the jet.
"I'm Gingka's father, it's an instinct of mine to insure his and Madoka's safety." Ryo answers as they start to take off. "If you have a child one day you will understand."
"The key word being if." Kyoya closes his eyes, knowing that he'll need as much sleep as he can get for what is possibly to come.
