It's been a few weeks since the last encounter with Ryuga. Gingka is home alone as Madoka has a business trip to Chicago.
"So why do I have to represent the Japanese branch of the WBBA?" Madoka asked as She and Gingka stood in front of Tsubasa.
"Because I'm going on vacation when the meeting is happening. I'm sure you will be fine Madoka." Gingka looks back at that conversation.
"And I wonder why his vacation was taking place at the same time as this important meeting?" He asks as his phone vibrates in his pocket. Hoping that it's his wife, he quickly pulls it out. "Oh, it's Kyoya. A text from Kyoya?" He looks at the message.
You know that bar I told you about?
Yeah, what about it?
Meet me there NOW. If Madoka is still home, tell her you forgot that we were gonna hang out.
Uh. OK then.
Gingka puts away his phone and grabs his wallet and keys. It's about a 20 minutes drive from where he lives. It's a small bar, nice wood work with cozy soft yellowish lighting. Real casual feeling on the outskirts of the city. Once he walks in, he notices the emptiness of the place, and one of the doormen asks for his ID. Once that is all over, he sees Kyoya, Masamune, Benkei, and Hikaru all in the corner.
"Gingka, over here." Kyoya says as he waves him over.
"Mine telling me why you didn't want Madoka here?"
"Because, what we have to discuss involves her." Kyoya says all the while Madoka sits in the back of a taxi cab.
"So, where are you from miss, if you don't mind me asking?" The driver asks, and she looks up from the folder in her hands.
"Japan, Metal Bey City."
"I've heard of that place before, wasn't that the epicenter of a huge end of the world scheme?"
"The Nemesis Incident, that it was."
"Who was that guy, the red headed kid that stopped him. Who was it again?"
"Gingka Hagane."
"Yeah, say do you know him? Cause I would love to buy him a beer."
"I do know him, he's actually my husband. He is back home though."
"Well, if he finds himself in Chicago, and in need of a cab, tell him to ask for Tony."
"I'll do that. Hmm, is traffic always like this at this time of day?" Madoka asks as she notices the lack of movement.
"It can be bad, but not this bad. Look at the intersection." Tony points to a few cars in front of them. Where the light is green, but no one is moving as what looks to be protestors are blocking the road.
"What the hell?"
"A young black man was killed by the cops somewhere in Minnesota. It's a shame he died, but we don't know the full story."
"Sounds more like they want an excuse to cause trouble." She notices the size of some of the protesters, and that almost all of them are white. That's when she feels something, she looks over to her water, it's vibrating, as is the drinks at the bar as Gingka slams his hands on the table.
"That's a load of bullshit Kyoya. And you know it."
"I'm just telling you what Ryuga said."
"Oh, so you expect me to trust one of the people that want to kill me for reasons unknown. But not MY WIFE?"
"Look, I get it. I just want to make sure that it's all bullshit." Kyoya grabs his drink and lifts it up. "Now if you can sit back down and be calm and collected." Madoka blinks, not believing her water is shaking on its own.
"Tony was it. Do you feel something shaking the cab?"
"No I… actually yeah, I do. What the hell is that?" He looks in the mirrors and sees something that shocks him. "Ah miss, you might want to look behind us." Madoka adjust herself to look out the back windshield and sees A FUCKING PIRATE SHIP.
"WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!?" She screams in a mix of confusion and mild horror. She sees someone, who is surprisingly dressed appropriately for what they are standing on, walk up to the front of the boat and fire something. That something is a harpoon that hits one of the larger protesters, before it starts to slowly bring the corpse back. "Run."
"What?"
"I said FUCKING RUN TONY." Madoka pushes out of the passenger side door and makes her way to the ship, where police are pointing their weapons. But before she can catch up, the cannons fire, wiping the poor bastards out, so she reluctantly barrows one of their pistols, before climbing her way up to the deck. "Show me your hands." She points the weapon at who she assumed is the captain, and he chuckles, then laughs at her. "Oh for fucks sake."
"We need someone who is either overly loyal, and or incredibly stupid enough to give us the scoop." Back with Kyoya and the others, they discuss plans to get to the bottom of the question at hand.
"Hmm. What about Kenta?" Benkei speaks up.
"He is loyal to a fault." Masamune adds, nodding his head.
"And he isn't exactly the smartest person at the office either." Hikaru chims in.
"So it's settled, we beat the info out of Kenta." Kyoya says, popping his knuckles in the process.
"How about no." Gingka again slams his hands onto the table.
"Fine, we'll threaten him with senseless violence." Kyoya says as he finishes his drink.
"No, we aren't going to harm someone who is our friend."
"We weren't going to actually harm Kenta. Right Kyoya?" Hikaru glares at him, about near cutting the Merc down with just her blueish purple eyes.
"Jesus, you can cut the tension between them." Masamune chuckles, getting a glance from Benkei.
"Anyways, now would be a good time to do some digging taking both of them are out of town." Kyoya says, grabbing his wallet to pay for the drinks. Back with Madoka, she looks face to face with Ryuga, who is in a pirate costume, and has a harpoon gun in hand.
"Ahoy there, Gingka's Baby Factory."
"What the hell are you doing?" Madoka asks, now not as shocked thanks to who is behind it.
"Whaling."
"They are people."
"Ever heard of land whales? They're like that fat guy you guys are friends with that jerks off to Kyoya or something but American."
"I will never understand your mindset."
"Maybe some time in the afterlife will help." Ryuga says before lunging forward and throws a right that sends her into the flagpole. "You know, we aren't so different."
"You're a psychopath."
"And you're a government agent. We both send people to meet their maker, the only difference is I do it directly while you take advantage of their loyalty to their country. Have you ever thought about political office?" Ryuga mocks her before she lunges forward to swing at him, but he moves his head and knees her in the gut, and with his other leg, swings his foot down, axe kicking the back of her head into the floor. "Honestly though, you guys in the WBBA preach about war and violence being bad, but your higher ups like Tsubasa and Gingka's dear daddy are treating civil wars around the world like a world championship and placing bets on who they think will win. Don't don't get me started about them funding both sides." He twists his foot around on the back of her head. "Now would be a good time to use your sinergy and hack my leg off. I wonder why you don't do so, you should be smart enough. Or is it that you know more about the true nature of God's unforeseen gift to humanity than I thought." He takes his foot off the back of her head and kicks her in the side of the abdomen, sending her into the side rails.
"Other… then it's somehow connected to mankind's original sin." Madoka says as she slowly stands up.
"And what happens when someone tries to tap into too much power?"
"What are you talking about?"
"Didn't answer my question."
"You seem to know everything, why don't you say it?"
"Fine, I'll play along. If someone is to use too much sinergy at once, they will temporarily lose their sanity, and unless they have a strong will, their sanity is forever gone. That is if you want to believe the stories."
"And I take it you are a spitting image of said stories?"
"Nope, I might be a cold blooded killer, but I do it with a conscious mind. No one has ever seen the real effects of True Sin, and even if they have, they didn't live long enough to report about it." Ryuga shrugs his shoulders.
"What a shame." Madoka responds as she whips some blood off her cheek.
"So, where is your hubby anyways? He should have shown up a while ago."
"He's not here. So you'll have to deal with me." Madoka lunges at him and swings with a left hand, but Ryuga moves his head out of the way. That's when he notices she is actually using her sinergy, as her hair swings for his neck. "Resistance, that means." Before she could finish her thought, Ryuga grabs her hair and throws her into the wall for the captain's quarters.
"Come on now, even a baby could form a blade out of their hair sharper than that. And they don't even have hair. You can do better than that." Ryuga mocks her as he rolls his neck a bit. "But it's a start." He snaps his finger and she notices his shadow moving her direction, so she dives out of the way as it lunges where she was.
"That was close." She says before spitting out some blood. "And worst of all, I can barely keep up." She sees him snap his fingers again, so she starts to move to her right, circling Ryuga, and slowly closing in. Ryuga however picks up on this and puts his leg out, but Madoka rolls under and tries to strike at his neck again.
"Not bad missy." He puts his hand up to block, but she is able to barely stab through his hand. "Impressive, but now I'm pissed." He hits her with a haymaker that stumbles her, and she swings back, but he grabs her arm and twists her arm, breaking her wrist, giving a scream in pain. "What, never broke a bone before?" Ryuga asks mockingly before driving her face first into the wooden floor and stomping her head further into the floor. "You look to still be alive, barely. So I'll tell you what, I'll let you go home and heal and train, or… I can just skip the b.s. and kill you know, how does that sound?" Nothing happens, to his surprise. "Hello, is anyone home?" He again asks. But this time he hears faint laughter. "It's an A or B question, you either live or die. What the hell do you find funny? It's your life on the line." Her response is more clear, as her laughs get louder as she stands up. "The hell?" He says in confusion as she throws her head back in a roar of laughter.
"I have to thank you Ryuga, you've given me the pleasure that Gingka is too much of a pussy to give me." She looks back at him, and he notices her eyes, no longer were they blue, but a deep crimson red and the pupils were dilated to the point where they were hard to spot, if they were even there. She grabs her broken wrist and twists it back into the proper place before rolling it around. "As good as new. Anyways where was I, oh right. I want to pay you back for the pleasure." She pulls out a pirate sword from a barrel next to her and cuts a few of the buttons off the top of her shirt, before picking the flat side of the sword. "With your life." All the while, Kenta is getting his apartment cleaned up when a knock is heard at his door.
"Shit she's here early." He rushes to the door and opens it, only to see Kyoya, Gingka and the others
"Mind if we come in?" Kyoya says as he walks in.
"Nice place Kenta." Gingka says as he too enters the apartment and sees Kyoya look over a small selection of liquor.
"We just left a bar Kyoya." Hikaru says as she walks up to him.
"What, can't judge his taste?" Kenta shakes his head at what Kyoya says before turning around to see Masamune locking the door.
"What's going on here guys?"
"No worries, we won't hurt you Kenta pal." Benkei answers, getting a nervous gulp from Kenta.
"He's right though, Gingka and I made sure that they wouldn't." Hikaru says, putting her hand on his shoulder. "Madoka and Tsubasa, what's going on between them?"
"Aren't they friends, why are you asking me this with her husband right there?"
"Oh, go on Yumia." Kyoya says as he grabs the tv remote.
"Well Tsubasa is her, and your guy's boss, that's it. What up with you guys?"
"Anything in line with Gingka and Madoka's relationship?" Hikaru asks as she gives Kyoya a quick glance. He turns on the tv and flicks through the channels.
"The hell are you talking about?"
"Maybe this will help?" Kyoya says as he tunes into an American news network.
"Wait, they did date a few years back, but Tsubasa called it off maybe four months before you guys came back."
"Is that all?" Kyoya says as he turns up the volume.
"God yes, please stop this tourture." Kenta pleads as the news comes on.
"Breaking news from the Chicago Injustice March, it looks like a pirate ship is floating or something through the route of the match, now we hand it off to Jim in the chopper, anything you see?"
"Yes, it seems that some crazy woman is in a fist fight with… is that the former legendary blader Ryuga?" Ryuga looks up and sees the chopper above them.
"Oh look, it's time for your 15 minutes of fame."
"I hate American journalists. FIRE THE PORT SIDE CANONS!" She says as she points in the direction of the crowd of journalists.
"You bitch, that's my line. FIRE THE PORT SIDE CANONS!" Ryuga does the same and the cannons fire.
"Looks like we do have something in common after all."
"Not quite, I haven't got shot by a harpoon." Ryuga says as he fires his harpoon gun, but Madoka grabs it just before the tip can break the skin.
"See, neither have I. But that still doesn't mean you don't get impaled by one." Madoka responds with a seductive tone before throwing it back his way. Ryuga spins out of the way and uses his momentum to kick the flag pole off and at her, and it slams into the captain quarters wall with her between them. He takes the time to catch his breath, and dust himself off.
"And to think I would have let you live. Not to worry, I'll send Gingka to see you in hell in due time. I might take a vacation just to let him go through all the stages of grief. So long." Ryuga looks down at the hand that got stabbed and sees it's fully healed. "Funny how sinergy works, but how did she fall so quickly into true sin, different tolerances maybe? Oh well." He starts to walk away when he hears something behind him, and before he could react, the pole comes crashing down, and pins his legs. "Well shit." He turns and sees Madoka's figure slowly limping to him, with a pirate sword in hand.
"I would love to play some more, but I don't want you to run away and ruin my good time. So I'll just kill you now and play with your corpse, how's that sound?"
"Go ahead and try, you don't have the balls… or breast… or whatever."
"It you wish… SYONARaaa." All of a sudden, she freezes, her eyes once again their natural blue color but still dilated as all hell. Then she pukes out what seems to be a mouth full of blood before collapsing.
"The hell?" Ryuga says as he lifts the flagpole off his legs and gets up.
"Hold it, you're under arrest." A group of cops point their weapons at Ryuga.
"How about no." He says as he snaps his finger and disappears, confusing the officers, who turn to the barely alive Madoka. As this all happens, Gingka gets a phone call.
"Yo."
"I take it you have seen what just happened in Chicago?" Tsubasa, on the other line, asks.
"Yep, you're gonna get me the first ticket to head over there?"
"More like a private jet, meet me at the airport asap."
"I hear you. See you then." Gingka hangs up and walks out of Kenta's apartment.
"Guess he is going to Chicago now. Alright, we'll see you around Kenta." Kyoya waves for the others to follow, and they do, running into a lady as they step into an elevator.
"So I guess the jack off was kinda right." Masamune says as they go down to the main floor.
"Hikaru, come with me."
"Hmm, what for?"
"We're going to get to the bottom of this now." They split up and head into the night, and knowing the recent events, they all are uncertain of what the next day will hold.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: Okay so I know with what just happened, something like this in Chicago isn't the best thing to post. But I swear to God I was writing this well before the tragic events that happened a few days ago. But with that said, thanks for reading and until next time.
