RSBLM: Volume 1 Summary: Part 2
(Emerald Forest Arc)
Episode 3:
Lie Ren and Nora Valkyrie wake up and get ready for the Beacon Academy Initiation. While they retrieve their weapons in the locker room, Nora attempts to form a plan to ensure they will be partners for their time at Beacon Academy with sloth sounds, same as Mallow Belladonna, discussing with Blake Belladonna about making a rendezvous point from a map of the Emerald forest he'd managed to find in one of his books he brought along the Tuckson's Book Trade. Blake warns Mallow that things won't always go his way and might be teamed up with complete stranger.
While Cardin Winchester started flirting Rico Tiri, who was just annoyed but ignored him, until he started commenting harshly about Velvet Scarlatina, a Faunus that came to Beacon last year is back but really shouldn't be. This angered Rico, to a point when she was able to punch Cardin, only for Serene Khani and Bloo Grijalee to step in, with Serene and Blake calming Rico down, and Bloo and Mallow stating to Cardin, that the three of them, including the Belladonnas, that they support the Faunus but not their new-violent methods, making Cardin walk away in disgust. Mallow than informs them of his plot of a rendezvous point and to avoid people like Cardin at all cost.
The Belladonna pair and the others walk past Ruby Rose and Yang Xiao Long, having a conversation of their own. Yang stresses to Ruby how important it is to socialize with other people to grow up. When Ruby insists that she does not need help growing up, Yang brings up the recent rumors about teams being formed. Ruby nervously hopes to be paired with Yang, only to find that Yang wants her to team with someone else to break out of her shell.
Meanwhile, Jaune Arc is searching confusedly for his locker, while Weiss Schnee talks to Pyrrha Nikos in the hopes of forging a partnership with her. Weiss believes that, with her intelligence and Pyrrha's unrivaled strength and skill, they will be at the top of the class, be the envy of the other students and have perfect grades. Pyrrha, however, wishes for the surprise of a random partner.
Soon, Jaune, who still believes Weiss genuinely called him cute, walks in on their conversation, hoping to form a team with Weiss. When Pyrrha interrupts, clarifying that teams actually have four members, Jaune suddenly shifts his attention to her. Weiss tells him that Pyrrha is out of his league by explaining her status as a celebrity fighter with a four-time championship in the Mistral Region Tournament, but Jaune only finally recognized her for being on the Pumpkin Pete's Marshmallow Flakes cereal box. However, Pyrrha gives him encouragement, and he once again turns flirtatious toward Weiss, with Pyrrha responding to the latter's request for help by pinning Jaune to a wall with her spear.
Soon after, Glynda Goodwitch announces over an intercom that all first-year students are to report to Beacon Cliff for their initiation. Later, on the cliffs, Glynda informs the students that they will be given teammates today, and Ozpin announces that these partnerships will last for the four-year duration of their studies at Beacon, stressing the importance of having a partner that they can work well with. He goes on to state that the partners will be decided by the first person a student makes eye contact with after they land in the Emerald Forest.
Since there will be opposition, he advises that the initiates do not hesitate to destroy everything in their path, as the possibility of dying is very real, due to the instructors who observe them abstaining from intervention. The objective is to seek a "relic", one per pair of partners, in a temple on the other end of the forest and return to the cliff with it in their possession.
Jaune asks Ozpin a few questions, and he soon discovers that everyone will be catapulted into the forest, with Ozpin expecting them to use "landing strategies" to save themselves. Before Jaune can finish asking what a landing strategy is, he is sent flying.
The students plummet to the Emerald Forest, all executing their personal landing strategies, except for Jaune Arc. After slowing her fall with her shield and landing in a tree, Pyrrha throws her spear to pin Jaune to a tree in the distance, saving him.
Serene was able land onto the branches at the top of a tree, and calls out Bloo, who was the closest to her and used Orthrus Whip to grapple onto her and swing her to her side, making them now partners, while Mallow crashed into another tree, as the both of them start tumbling and breaking down branches, Mallow slamming to the ground, and Rico landed next to him asking if he was alright, only to groan and partners with him.
Meanwhile, Ruby lands on the ground and begins running through the forest, desperately hoping to find Yang and/or Mallow while contemplating other partners based on the people she knows. Feeling that Jaune is probably too useless in battle and Blake Belladonna is too hard to hold a conversation with, she wracks her brain for another potential partner. It is then that she stumbles upon Weiss Schnee, who immediately rejects her and walks away, only to find Jaune still stuck to a tree. She promptly turns back around and partners with Ruby. Shortly after, Pyrrha Nikos finds Jaune and partners with him.
While Weiss wishes to not waste any time in completing their mission, Ruby is eager to create a friendship with her and shows off her speed to convince Weiss that she would be a good, useful teammate. As Ruby runs off in excitement, Weiss is left alone. At first, Weiss maintains her annoyed attitude, but she quickly becomes nervous after she hears rustling in the bushes around her. She soon finds that the source of the noise is a Beowolf.
Episode 4:
As Yang Xiao Long walks through the Emerald Forest in search Ruby, she encounters two Ursai. After a short encounter, she destroys one with Ember Celica for cutting off a strand of her hair during the fight. She prepares to fight the other, but Blake Belladonna kills it from behind using Gambol Shroud. They look each other in the eye, cementing their status as partners, as Yang muses she was more than capable of killing the second Ursa.
Meanwhile, Weiss Schnee internally walks herself through the steps of her fencing training, whilst surrounded by Beowolves. She rotates Myrtenaster's revolver and poses to strike. However, just as she begins to attack, Ruby Rose attacks the Beowolf Weiss is aiming for, forcing Weiss to redirect her strike and send fire toward a nearby tree with her attack. Ruby, distracted by the fire, is knocked backward into Weiss by the Beowolf. They contemplate an opportunity to attack, but Weiss forces a retreat, having accidentally started a forest fire.
The two get into an argument, with Ruby protesting that she is capable of fighting the Beowolves alone, and Weiss berating her childlike and impulsive nature, stating that if Ruby had warned her about what she was going to do, they would not be running away from a burning forest. As Weiss stomps off, Ruby takes her anger out on a tree with Crescent Rose. Behind them, a giant feather slowly drifts to the ground beside the fallen tree.
Elsewhere, Jaune Arc and Pyrrha Nikos are making their way through the forest, and Jaune gets a scratch on his face after Pyrrha accidentally hits him with a branch. Pyrrha asks Jaune why he did not activate his Aura, to which he reveals that he is not familiar with the concept. Pyrrha explains that Aura is the manifestation of one's soul, created from the understanding of both light and darkness in every being, and that it can be used by any living being. The Grimm are the one exception, as they lack souls, and are instead considered beings of darkness and "manifestations of anonymity". With practice, Aura can be utilized as a shield and may even be an efficient fighting tool, with their equipment acting as conduits for it. This concept is displayed when Lie Ren is shown using a combination of his Aura, StormFlower, and martial arts skills to slay a King Taijitu that attacked him.
Pyrrha utilizes her Aura to unlock Jaune's, which immediately heals his cut. She seems somewhat drained by the experience but recovers a few moments later and notes that Jaune has a vast amount of Aura within himself. Meanwhile, after Ren kills the beast, Nora Valkyrie calls out to him using her "sloth call" before swinging upside-down from a nearby tree. Ren comments that he still is not convinced that is what a sloth sounds like. Nora merely replies with "Boop" while touching his nose, earning a smile from Ren. Having made eye contact, the two become partners. Serene and Bloo soon came across Ren and Nora, meeting each other for the first time, and all agreed to stick together, to find the temple. However another King Taijitu watches them leave from the high branches and slowly slithers after them.
Episode 5:
At Beacon Cliff, Glynda Goodwitch informs Ozpin that the last partnership of students, consisting of Lie Ren and Nora Valkyrie, has been formed. Glynda mentions that she can not really see them getting along very well, but she supposes that they are better off than Pyrrha Nikos, noting that although Jaune Arc came with an impressive transcript, she doubts his capabilities in combat. She states that the students should reach the temple in a few minutes. She then asks Ozpin what he used as "relics" this year, but he is absorbed in watching Weiss Schnee and Ruby Rose on his Scroll.
Ruby, Weiss have gotten lost, mostly because of their relying on Weiss for directions. The two soon get into another argument, Ruby claiming that Weiss is a know-it-all who thinks she is perfect, to which Weiss retorts that she is not perfect yet, but is still better than Ruby. As Weiss walks away, Ruby remarks sadly that Weiss does not even know her.
Deep in the forest, Rico and a patched-up Mallow soon found themselves lost in a crevasse-like maze, and wondered where to go from here, only to hear two men yelling for help. Mallow and Rico hurried along to rescue none other than Cardin and his partner, Russel Thrush, as both of them are standing on a huge boulder but with nothing surrounding it, confusing Mallow, while Rico just wanted to just leave them be. Russel was going to warn them not to come closer, but Cardin silenced him so that once Mallow and Bloo we're close enough, a Creep tried to get the jump on Mallow, only to be hacked her two swords Eon Eclypse' and Oblivion Oath. Suddenly more to burst out of the ground surrounding the boulder.
Cardin and Russel took the opportunity to ditch abandoned Mallow and Rico to the Creeps. The Creep's Bonelike Covering made them resistant to Mallow's Blade of the Sun, but not impossible to kill. However because of the huge number of Creeps, they've hurried to the top of the boulder Cardin and Russel were standing on before. As the Creeps attempted to climb up after them, Yang than jumped down into the crevasse and take on the Creeps, pounding them with Ember Celica and tossed one at a stone wall by the tail. While Blake tossed down Gambol Shroud as a rope for Rico and Mallow to climb out of the crevasse. While Yang was able to climb out of the edge herself, as well as made a rockslide to bury the Creeps chasing after her. Mallow was happy to be reunited with his big sister, and told them what Cardin did, making the girls furious, but decided to focus on the mission instead as they keep going. They've soon reached the temple and observe that "relics" appear to be chess pieces. Yang notes that quite a few are missing, meaning that they are not the first to get there.
Elsewhere, Jaune and Pyrrha have found a cave that Jaune believes to be the temple. Despite Pyrrha's doubt, they keep going until Jaune falls down and his torch is extinguished.
Back at the temple, Yang holds up a white knight piece and proposes taking the "cute little pony", while Mallow took a white king piece and stated that her "pony" is no match for his king, making Blake chuckle, seeing them playfully banter.
In the cave, Jaune finds a glowing object and mistakes it for a "relic". When he grabs onto it, Jaune discovers that it is in fact the stinger of a Death Stalker, a large scorpion-like Creature of Grimm.
Yang and Rico hears Jaune's feminine scream and states that "some girl" is in trouble, but Blake and Mallow seems to be watching something in the sky.
The Death Stalker chases Pyrrha out of its cave with a panicking Jaune clinging to its stinger. The Grimm then flings Jaune through the air, and Pyrrha runs away.
At the temple, Yang is trying to get Blake's attention when she notices that Blake is looking at Ruby, who is falling from the sky.
Episode 6:
Ruby Rose and Weiss Schnee are hanging onto a large mass of feathers fluttering in the wind, with Weiss berating Ruby on how their current predicament was a bad idea. As the two continue to argue, Ruby suggests jumping and does so before Weiss can finish objecting. As Ruby falls, Jaune Arc collides with her in midair, and the two of them land in a nearby tree.
Yang, Blake, Mallow, and Rico are watching everything transpire from the ground. They then notice an Ursa come stumbling out of the forest and collapse on the ground with Nora Valkyrie riding on its back and Lie Ren exhaustedly chasing close behind. Nora quickly makes her way to the chess pieces and delightfully takes a white rook chess piece, declaring herself "queen of the castle", before Ren angrily calls her back. Pyrrha Nikos arrives soon after with the Death Stalker right behind her, along with Serene and Bloo both running away from the King Taijitu. Ruby jumped off the tree, finally reuniting with the others.
Yang then explodes with frustration, due to all of the commotion. Soon afterwards, the group notices Weiss still hanging on the claw of a giant Nevermore. Soon, she falls from the Grimm, Jaune, in an attempt to gain her favor, jumps off the tree and catches her, although he failed to take gravity into account. Bloo stood beside him, and was able to catch Weiss in his arms, making her slightly blush.
As Pyrrha crash-lands in front of the group, Yang sarcastically says that now that the entire group has gathered at the location, they can die together. Ruby decides to take out the Death Stalker on her own, with Mallow following after her, but her attacks prove ineffective against its thick armor. Realizing this, she puts Crescent Rose away and flees toward the other students. Yang and Blake run over to help them, until The Nevermore fires a barrage of feathers, one of which pins Ruby's cape to the ground, trapping her, and keep Yang and Blake at bay. Mallow managed to reach to Ruby tries to help her, only for the King Taijitu to slithering straight towards them too.
As the Death Stalker and the King Taijitu catches up to Ruby and Mallow, it raises its stinger and Fangs to strike at them. Yang and Blake, too far away to reach her in time, helplessly reaches for them, and Weiss speeds over to Ruby and Mallow and uses Ice Dust to freeze the Death Stalker's stinger and one of the snake's head in place. While she criticizes Ruby for her childish and dim-witted behavior, Weiss admits that she herself has been difficult as well. Since they must work together, Weiss promises to be nicer as long as Ruby stops trying to show off, and Ruby states that she was merely trying to prove herself. Weiss tells her that she's fine, and liked a compliment given by Bloo. Yang hugs both Ruby and Mallow, happily for them being safe. As Blake walked up to Mallow with a glare for being reckless, only to give him a hug too, happy her little brother was safe.
Ruby points out that the group's mission is simply to retrieve "relics" and return to the cliff, not to dispatch the Death Stalker, the King Taijitu, and Nevermore. As such, she feels the group should leave the temple while they have the chance, and her classmates agree. Ruby grabs a white knight piece, Jaune grabs a white rook piece, Serene grabs a white queen piece and the students flee. However, the Death Stalker and the King Taijitu breaks free of the ice and gives chase with the Nevermore, forcing the group to face them. The battle leads to a ruined structure in the middle of a canyon, where the group splits into three.
Serene, Tiri, Mallow, and Grijalee faced the King Taijitu around the ruins, Jaune, Nora, Pyrrha and Ren faced the Death Stalker on the stone bridge, Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang faced the Nevermore at the high columns.
Serene and Mallow both had an idea, as he and Rico would run inside some of the ruins with the King Taijitu chasing after them, and she and Bloo demolished the pillars supporting the ceilings, crumbling and collapsing onto it. While Mallow and Rico managed to escape. While Jaune, Nora, Pyrrha and Ren send the Death Stalker plummeting into the canyon with its head impaled by its own stinger, Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang work together to behead the Nevermore.
Later, at Beacon Academy, Ozpin forms the teams. The first team consists of Cardin Winchester, Russel Thrush, Dove Bronzewing and Sky Lark, forming Team CRDL, pronounced "Cardinal", led by Cardin. The next team is Jaune, Nora, Pyrrha and Ren, forming Team JNPR, pronounced "Juniper", with Jaune serving as its leader. The third team was Serene, Rico Tiri, Mallow, and Bloo Grijalee, forming Team STMG, pronounced "Stormfang", with Serene, as the leader, and just as they've planned before coming to Beacon. Finally, Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang form Team RWBY, pronounced "Ruby", with Ruby leading the team. Afterwards, Ozpin notes that it seems this will be an interesting year.
Elsewhere, Roman Torchwick finishes talking to someone via a phone call on his Scroll and sighs in frustration. As he knew the cop were closing in on his operation, needing a distraction to throw them off the trail. He looks at some news articles on the paper of the Vytal Festival and it's financing from around the globe. When he sees an article about the White Fang, which prompts to pause before smiling.

Author Notes
RWBY, its owned by Rooster Teeth.
Major thanks to RWBY Wiki, for the Summaries
I had alot of Grimms in mind for the ruin battle, first a Beringel and then Four Alpha Creeps, but I'd finally decided a King Taijitu after seeing how it would fit in Fixing RWBY, only it could just another King Taijitu instead only a one-headed one for the Emerald Forest Arc.
Would some love to have some reviews of what you all thoughts of this new project so far, or some suggestions of the next four episodes, and what kind of Arc could it be called before working on the "Jaune" Arc.
Anyone like Team CFVY and/or Lil' Miss Malachite, Spider, Neo to make an early appearance?
If there might be anything you guys might like me to change, add, or update on these summaries, just ask.
