Acacia had a solid plan on how to deal with Umbitch. She had gone over the wording of her wish over and over until she was satisfied. Now she just needed to set a trap so that she could see Umbitch suffer in front of her.

If Umbitch had blood quills, then she would need proof the woman was using them. That meant locating them and sending them to Madam Bones with a complaint.

At least, that was what she would tell her friends if they asked what the hell she was doing.

She hid her personal items in an area where she could retrieve them later should things go south...unlikely but still a possibility. It was someplace just outside the Hogwarts wards, but still within reach of the castle.

If she had to run, then she didn't want to be burdened by anything they could confiscate and use against her. Paranoia was her friend in matters like this.

She waited until after the major exams were over, as by that point everyone would be far more tired over the stress of exams being over and less concerned about what was going on in the teacher's offices.

She wasn't going to do this at night, that was too suspicious. Umbridge was still overseeing the exams of the younger students as OWL's and NEWT's were done first to get them out of the way and give the older students a chance to relax.

The moment she felt the wards on her personal office go off, she made her way there. She had no one to back her up, but she was confident enough that she could handle the intruder by herself. After all, there were plenty of trained adults around and the children were of no concern in her mind.

Seeing Potter in her office, her smirk widened to that of a shark. Finally, a reason to expel the wretched girl from the school!

She didn't notice the item in Potter's hands until it was far too late.

"I wish for all marked Death Eaters, their sympathizers and those who agree with Voldemort's doctrine to be stung by a Gympie Gympie plant in their sensitive areas," said Acacia in a clear, no nonsense tone.

Umbridge was confused at first...until smoke poured out of the lamp's opening and a demonic looking genie came out.

Skin as red as blood, a chiseled chest that spoke of power, pointed ears, a vicious looking goatee on his chin, and his nails looked like talons. He wore matching golden bangles on both hands, and the very fact he appeared from the lamp was enough for her to know exactly what Potter had summoned.

The girl had somehow gotten her hands on an honest to Merlin genie.

Umbridge looked the girl dead in the eye as the genie prepared to grant her odd wish. The girl knew exactly what she was doing and had laid a trap so that she would see the effects personally. And she had fallen for it, hook, line and sinker.

"Your wish is my command, Mistress," the malevolent being all but purred, looking at Potter with an expression that Umbridge was hard to explain.

The moment he snapped his fingers, all Umbridge knew was pain. Her entire world erupted into the worst pain she had experienced in her entire life, and in areas that would inflict maximum suffering for the victim.

She could barely register the expression on Potter's face...there was a dark satisfaction on her face as she stared at her victim impassively.

"Just to let you know, I threw up a few silencing wards earlier. It'll probably take hours for them to find you, and the plant you were just stung by is known to last for months or even years. Have fun with your life, bitch," said Potter darkly.

She walked over the now screaming form of the toad bitch, opened the door and closed it quietly.

It would take them seven long, agonizing hours to find Delores Umbridge, and by that point she had been dead for four. The pain was too much.

Jafar knew the moment Acacia said her wish, that he had fallen hard for her.

And who could blame him? Her wish was absolutely perfect and fit into the parameters she was given...and the only people who possibly knew she was behind it were either her sworn brother and a woman who would likely kill herself to get away from the immense pain Acacia had delivered to her via his magic.

She had annihilated a large number of her enemies with a single move, and if found out could honestly say she had only delivered a painful curse on them. If they died, she had no direct hand in the matter beyond cursing them for following the man who attacked her family and herself repeatedly.

It was all very delicious in his opinion...and it was something his past self would have approved of in a heartbeat. The entire school was in lock down as several students were suddenly afflicted with a mysterious curse that the school nurse was highly unequipped to handle.

Acacia was privately shocked Draco Malfoy was not among that number.

As the students were sent to their houses, Neville waited a bit to confront Acacia.

"You made a wish, didn't you?" he asked.

"You heard the genie as well as I did. No direct killing. I refuse to clean up the adult's mess and the only ones affected are those who targeted our parents in the first place. The world is better off without such filth," she replied without a hint of remorse.

"What did you actually do to them though?" he asked.

She smirked.

"Remember that plant we read about from Australia? The one with the tiny fibers that have a vicious poison that can last for months or even years?"

Neville thought that one over before he paled. Then he considered who she had inflicted that upon and his resolve cleared.

She had cursed a large majority of pure bloods in a single move in such a way that magic would be of absolutely no use in remedying. And it would almost certainly result in the deaths of countless people.

Neville...couldn't find it in him to feel pity for the people who had taken his parents away from him and resulted in him suffering an unpleasant childhood at the hands of 'family'.

Both kept their silence on the matter, as all over magical Europe, several people suffered from a strange, mysterious malady that no healer or mediwizard could fix.

Acacia had to fight to keep the smirk off her face as the paper began reporting the deaths of many "prominent purebloods", and students began talking about the sudden deaths of students in other houses (most of them Slytherin) despite the teacher's every attempts to cover everything up.

As Acacia boarded the train, she noticed that Draco was unusually subdued...then again, Lucius Malfoy was a Death Eater and among the number of recorded dead. Oddly enough, Narcissa wasn't.

Everyone was more than a little subdued and in shock over recent events, so it was no surprise no one took notice of her slipping out of the platform and straight to Diagon Alley.

After all, she wanted to have a proper summer vacation and with Vernon dead, Petunia wasn't likely to be inclined to let her stay as usual. Besides, she didn't have a license and always made Vernon drive.

By the time anyone thought to check up on her, she had visited Grimmauld briefly before leaving England and heading to France with Sirius.

The Sisterhood's lawyer was eager for another chance to make the English ministry's day worse, especially in light of recent events.

It was beyond liberating, even as she watched the sheer clusterfuck in England from France. Sadly things in the Arabic territory where Jafar's workshop was were a bit hostile, so she had to avoid the area for a few months at the very least.

Acacia expected a relatively quiet summer. Jafar, on the other hand, was waiting for him to show up again.

For an immortal, that pest an inordinate amount of free time on his hands and had apparently decided keeping track of Jafar was a fine way to deal with any boredom.

So when a certain headache showed up at the beach house where Acacia was about to head out and get a proper tan, Acacia was a bit taken aback.

Carpet, the second it registered the pest's presence, was ecstatic and immediately wrapped itself around him in an odd hug.

The man looked delighted to see him.

"Not to be offensive or anything...but who the bloody hell are you?" she asked slowly.

"I'm a genie, or former genie anyway!" he said cheerfully. He peered at her for a moment. "You still have two wishes left and that lamp has been active for months now."

She froze, and really looked at him.

"What do you want? I'm not handing Jafar over to anyone who doesn't actually deserve a wish," she said glaring at him.

Genie, or whatever he was, looked at her for a moment.

"How odd... He's granted three wishes, two of them for someone else, and yet you don't seem to be under his influence. Most people go mad with power after meeting him," said Genie.

"Most people are idiots, and due to the restrictions it would be ridiculous to waste something as useful as a wish on something I could likely earn myself," she sniffed.

Jafar flowed out of his lamp and openly glared at the ex-genie.

"Must you keep track of me, you blue-skinned pest? Is it not enough that I was tricked into taking your place?"

Acacia had the distinct feeling that she wasn't going to be working on her tan today.

"I'll order some drinks. I had the feeling we're going to have a long, much needed chat."

Several hours later...

"So you keep track whenever Jafar is active because you honestly think he's been manipulating his masters?" she asked.

"To be fair, I do feel somewhat guilty about him being trapped in one of those lamps, even if he did deserve it a bit," admitted Genie.

Acacia was nothing like he expected and outside of that parasite her magic felt light and protective. She was like the complete opposite of Jafar.

It was abundantly obvious after talking to the two that Acacia had deep feelings towards Jafar, and much to the disbelief of Genie, he felt the same way. However relations between a genie and a human were impossible...something Jafar knew all too well.

The fact she had the lamp this long at all without using up all three wishes was amazing to him.

Genie did actually feel some iota of guilt for Jafar. He might not like the guy, but he did feel pity for him.

And seeing the way the two interacted, even if Jafar was disguised in a younger form so the humans wouldn't overtly notice anything wrong about him dating the girl, Genie made a decision.

"Did you know it's possible to free a genie from the lamp?" he asked casually.

Acacia perked up at that and looked at him intently.

"Won't that render their immortality void?"

"Not necessarily," said Genie. "A genie freed from their lamp is still an immortal who doesn't age or feel sickness...however, once freed from the lamp they no longer have an instinctive connection to the greater powers of the universe and their magical abilities are dropped significantly. They can still grant minor wishes within the limits of their magical capacity, but otherwise big ticket items are impossible for them."

"So a freed genie would have all the abilities they held before, just on a far reduced scale. If a bound genie has an unlimited amount of magic, then freed they've have about a third or even half of what they used to be capable of within their own limits and skill set, is that what you're saying?" said Acacia.

"Jafar would retain all his old powers, just vastly upgraded and his magical core would still be highly expanded...but he won't be able to grant major wishes anymore."

"Would he be able to remove the parasite in my head without a wish being used?" she asked seriously.

Genie shook his head.

"Magic like that takes an affinity, and Jafar doesn't have it," he said immediately.

Acacia slumped...so they were back to waiting for the area to be less hostile so she could track down his workshop again.

"But...I happen to have an affinity for this sort of thing," said Genie.

"What?" said Jafar baffled.

"I don't like to talk about it," said Genie. There was a reason he made it an ironclad rule never to revive the dead after all. "And consider it an early wedding present."

Acacia blushed as Genie winked at her. She felt his magic around her, and it swiftly went to the area around her curse scar.

There was a bit of a 'pop' noise, and a sensation like something being pulled out. She also felt something dribble down her forehead and an odd relief she couldn't explain as something was forcibly removed.

She wiped her hand against her forehead...and there was a small amount of blood. Genie conjured up a mirror for her to use.

"Nasty soul this...wouldn't want to grant any of their wishes, I can tell you that," he said with a grimace before making a tossing motion behind him. It landed in the sea with an unpleasant hiss and there was an inaudible scream over the waves.

Acacia...couldn't believe she was freed of that damn parasite, and so easily too.
