A long time ago, specifically twenty five years ago, I escaped from my home, leaving my family behind. They never came looking for me, so I hid in a dumpster when I got lost. I don't know how long I was in there, but I was in there for a while.
I used towels, paper towels, whatever I could use to my advantage, as a blanket. I left my little dumpster every day to get food from the nearby restaurants. They found me so cute, so said they restaurant owners themselves, that they fed me. They gave me food. They helped me.
One day, my dumpster closed and I couldn't get out. I have no clue how long I was trapped in there, just that at that point, I was getting hungry and thought of feasting on the dumpster food. However, I resisted the temptation, as none of the food smelt good and some of it was moldy.
One day, or a few minutes, I don't know how long I was in there, a man with a lab coat and dark hair found me, throwing out his trash. "How did you get in here, little guy?" he asked, picking me up from my prison. I explained to him that I escaped from my home and has been living in that dumpster for a while but he never understood a word I meant.
"Hey, I have an idea! How about you work with me!" he purposed. Of course, I couldn't refuse. I showed him my joy for the invitation and he gladly took me to his house.
I have to admit, it was a nice place, neatly cleaned, everything in the proper order. He gave me a small tour of the home, except he never told me what the door next to the kitchen was. No yet anyway.
I lived with him for a few years, and eventually learned his name. However, I feel no need to bring it up. He taught me a lot of things, and I even helped him clean his house. Eventually, he said I was ready and led me to that before prohibited door.
Inside the room, there was a flight of stairs, leading down to a secret room in the basement. Once he turned on the lights, I found a large room where there was a table. On the table, there was a chemistry set. On the walls there was an abundance of science things, used for experiments and the sort.
I couldn't believe my eyes. It was the best thing I have ever seen. My…the man was a scientist! He asked me to help out in his lab whenever I could, which was even better.
Except, one day, all of it changed. I was helping him make girls, which I didn't mind. He put in sugar, spice, and everything nice, like puppy dogs and stars and glitter, and was mixing it all together. However, he was clumsy and crashed into a large glass of Chemical X.
His clumsiness caused the Chemical X to spill everywhere, most of it landing in the concoction. Some of it spilled off the table and landed on me. I grew in size, my brain included, and my skin turned a green color.
At that point, while I was transforming, the concoction exploded and three girls came out, flying. Professor called them, by oldest to youngest, Blossom, Buttercup and Bubbles. At that moment, he forgot all about me. He didn't see me there. He didn't notice me. He didn't care.
So I ran away.
I ran as far as my newly grown legs could take me. I didn't need to walk on all fours any more. I could stand like anyone else; like everyone else. But the man didn't care. He cared about his girls after they were born and left me to fend for myself.
That was when I realized, I could be so much more than a helping monkey. I could be a scientist of my own. I could be a mastermind! I didn't need him anyway. Who needs someone who is there for you and drops you out in the dust when something 'better' comes your way. Who needs him? I can fend on my own!
It was at that moment when I realized, that I didn't need anyone. I was stronger on my own. Everyone leaves eventually. There's no point in building a relationship that will easily break. I learned, that you're stronger alone than with a friend.
Mojo Jojo
Author's Note
I know Mojo Jojo doesn't talk this way but since he's a smart chimp, I just figured it would be intriguing if he thought he talked like this in his head. I thought of this story when I found a writing prompt that said, "And in the end, all I learned was how to be strong, alone." I instantly thought about Mojo Jojo.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this story and let me know what you think! Also, be prepared for the next chapter, 'cause it'll be different! ;)
