Elsewhere in the Multiverse...

The bigger they are, the harder they fall, a strong woman thought as she landed several hits at a Parademon. Creatures like this were once known to reside in Apokolips, a planet granting eternal suffering. She was mistaken, and this mistaken knowledge bit her back. The Parademon, a bulky bug-like humanoid, has enhanced strength that rivals a Kryptonian's strength. She attempted to throw several hits at the creature, only to receive a dangerous blow to her face.

"Mia!", another woman exclaimed.

The Parademon attempted to finish off the lady named Mia. Before the creature gets its opportunity, a female blurrily moved in, and punched the creature metres away.

Mia quickly raised herself to her feet. She fired two red beams, screaming, and disintegrating the Parademon. As soon as the Parademon was gone, Mia removed the blood crawling out of her lips. This is the first time a Parademon actually made her bleed. She wasn't emptied in tank, and she suffered a hit. She looks at the other Kryptonian who intervened her fight with the Parademon. "I could've handled it!", she said in frustration.

The other kryptonian ignored her, and told Mia "Take your brother with you. The Inquisitors are here.", she said.

"Come on, mom, scared of wielders of sorcery, seriously? We can take them.", Mia said.

"You should listen to your mother, my little Kryptonian friend"

Mia and her mother turned, seeing a male that had furrowed, ashen, white skin with tattoos.

"The last I saw Kryptonians in this system, they perished", the Dark Side wielder said.

"Indeed, by your superiors, Grand Inquisitor", Mia said, subsequent to smiling in a cocky way. "Too bad, they're not here to back you up. You'd have to wait.".

"Oh, that won't be necessary", he said. The left side of his lips curled. He draws the blood-seep of his blade, steadily positioned with his stance formed. "Come, if you have the guts, Kryptonians.".

"With pleasure", Mia said before charging at the man full speed.

"Mia. Wait!", the mother of Mia said.

A smirk maintains on the Grand Inquisitor's lips. He expected the young Kryptonian to recklessly attack her. "Kryptonians do tend to underestimate their opponents, take a page from uncle Kal-El.", he said before raising his hand. He uses the Force to freeze Mia's body, which was successful. Mia is completely frozen.

"Shit, what is this?! I can't move!", Mia exclaimed in shock.

"Do not underestimate the power of the Force.", Grand Inquisitor said. He shortly noticed another female Kryptonian about to bulldoze him with flight. Not a surprise when you can easily perceive how effective it triggers the mother's response to save her kids. The Grand Inquisitor held the experienced Kryptonian in the air. "Kara Zor-El, wife of the late Oliver Queen. My condolences for the deceased Green Arrow.".

Behind the clenched teeth of her struggle, Kara growled at the Inquisitor for mentioning her husband's name.

"I can feel your anguish", the Grand Inquisitor remarked.

Kara blasted heat vision to the Grand Inquisitor.

The latter casually swerves Kara's heat vision to another direction. "Nice try.", Grand Inquisitor said.

"Wasn't... aiming... at... you...", Kara said despite choking.

Grand Inquisitor wondered why she said that. She fired heat rays toward him. Unless she knew he was going to use the Force to prevent himself from getting hurt. He turns, seeing a green-hooded figure in a stance with bow and arrow.

"Peekaboo", the hooded man said, firing the arrow.

Grand Inquisitor quickly moves his hand over to the arrow's direction. He used the Force to stop that arrow. "Futile", he commented.

"No", the archer disagreed.

Confused, the Grand Inquisitor analysed the arrow, only to see an instant explosion. He was backed away, lying on the floor. His loose grip caused him to lose the blade.

The Kryptonians have finally landed on their feet with no Force grasping them since the Grand Inquisitor was knocked out.

"Come on, Green Arrow! Let's go!", Kara shouted. She saw their transportation arrived. The kryptonian mother dragged Mia with her, as they are inside the ship.

Just when they were seconds from launching off into space, Kara and Mia discovered Green Arrow isn't with them.

"Connor!", Kara shouted, perceiving Green Arrow standing in front of a seemingly unconscious Inquisitor.

"Just a sec", Connor said. An chance arose, to end the Grand Inquisitor. If he dies, his entire team of Inquisitors will grow weaker. Before he fired, the airflow was blocked to the lungs. He was suddenly getting weaker, and his body is floating.

"Reckless, and stupidity. The key factors that led to your defeat!", Grand Inquisitor said. He slowly squeezes his fist, instantly he feels the Green Arrow's suffering as he coughs extremely.

"No!", Mia shouted, prepared to fly, and save William. She was straight away prevented by firm hands around her waist. "Let me go, mom!".

The door in front of them shut. The looking glass is all they have as a view of their closest ally suffering.

Kara was tempted to saving Connor. But if she did, it would be suicide. The result will be the deaths of her and Connor.

The ship finally took off, leaving the star cruiser.

Grand Inquisitor was aware the Kryptonians left, but seemed measurably calm.

Connor weakly chuckles, knowing the Grand Inquisitor wasted so much with him he did not have enough time to stop his family's escape. "Thanks to this plan, they have the locations to all warehouses in the Multiverse. All that stack of kryptonite will shatter, and die with the fall of the Empire", he said.

"On the contrary, you will prove every useful to me", Grand Inquisitor said, smirking evilly.

The escape from the star cruiser was impossible, yet it was achieved unfortunately with Connor's sacrifice.

Mia threw a seat to a random direction. She was angry she couldn't be able to save her half-brother. "You should've let me save him!", the young Kryptonian said in an angry manner.

"I know it was a touch decision-"

"It wasn't. Regardless of the distance, you had super-speed, remember? You're faster than Superman, your speed rivals the Flash. Rescuing him is no issue.", Mia said.

"You have not faced these threats before, Mia. Neither has Connor.", Kara said. "In due time, Connor will survive, and we will save him from the Empire.".

"How do you plan on doing that?", Mia said, her arms crossed.

"Get help from old friends.", Kara said, remembering there are some beings in the Multiverse that possess the same ability the Grand Inquisitor has. It only depends on what where they hide since the hero's purge.

A/N: Chapter is short, I know. I thought maybe I shouldn't add too many things in one chapter. The next chapters may be short, but in due time, they will get longer.
