Chapter 27 - I Love You: Part II

9:50pm – In the Building

"Ok, so we need to find the first victim who died from the disease, and chop his head off. How do we know who it is though?" Bo said, "We have like hundreds of dead bodies here. Are we gonna chop all the heads off every one of them?"

"Actually, not a bad idea, except that the first persons to die are not in this building," Tamsin said. "This whole thing started with three deaths a few days ago. All employees of this lab and their bodies are lying in the county morgue right now."

"Then what are we waiting for?" Bo said, "Let's go."

"The problem is we can't leave here, because the second we walk through the gate, your ex-girlfriend, the doctor, is going to handcuff us inside one of those quarantine tents," Tamsin said and then added, "Damn I wish I could call Dyson and tell him to take care of this shit."

"Well, I think I may have just the thing to solve your problem, detective," Bo said, waving the walkie-talkie at the blonde as she pressed down on the button. "Plus, I do need to tell Lauren that I've found you and that you are fine."

"Bo? Bo, what happened?" Lauren's voice came from the other end, "I think the connection went down for a while after you shushed me. What happened? Are you Ok?"

"Yeah, I'm fine," Bo said. "And she's fine too. "

"Oh," Lauren sounded a little surprised. "She has absolutely no symptoms? Is she Fae? What type of Fae is she?"

"The kind that walk among the dead," Tamsin said. "I'm a Valkyrie."

"Oh well then that makes sense, because Valkyries have a much stronger immune systems in the first place, and you were probably exposed to similar bacteria before so you would have antibodies since you are probably hundreds of years old, if not thousands..." Lauren mumbled in a low voice.

"Hey, Lauren, I think we figured out what is going on here," Bo said, stopping the doctor from going any further with her geek talk.

"Oh?" Lauren sounded a little startled.

"It's a Nachzehrer," Tamsin said as she took the walkie-talkie. "I've seen this before, in Europe, hundreds of years ago..."

"The Black Death." Lauren's voice was low and serious, and Bo could tell that she was in agreement with them, that a Nachzehrer caused all the deaths.

"Yeah, that," Tamsin confirmed.

"Based on the results from my lab, I concur," Lauren said. "I ran the test a few times to be sure, and I couldn't believe it, because that specific bacteria which caused the Black Death in Europe, was believed to be extinct… well it's good that it's a Nachzehrer then, because we can always kill a Nachzehrer by-"

"- chopping the head off the first victim," Bo said.

"Yes, that's exactly how to kill a Nachzehrer," Lauren said, her voice raised a little as if she was a little bit surprised that Bo would know such a thing. She continued after a second or two, "In fact that's the only way to kill a Nachzehrer. People have done that multiple times in the past, in order to stop plagues like the Black Death, SARS, or Spanish flu..."

"Yeah… about the first victim..." Bo began, "Tamsin… Tamsin said that the first three deaths were sent to the county morgue..."

"I'll get my team right on that," Lauren said.

"Actually, we have a better candidate in mind for this mission," Tamsin said. "Why don't you call the Wolf? He's also on this case and I'm damn sure he knows how to kill a Nachzehrer. The Succubus and I will stay inside until he completes the mission just in case."

"I'll contact Dyson right now. But you two… Bo..." Lauren called Bo's name. "You need to… you have an hour-"

"Gotta go, bye!" Bo said, turning off the walkie-talkie before Lauren finished her sentence. She tucked the equipment into her back pocket and said to Tamsin, "Come on, let's go check the rest of the building and see if anything's up."

"Whoa, stop right there honey," Tamsin said as she grabbed Bo's wrist before the brunette walked away. She pulled the brunette into her embrace and stopped her from looking away, "What was that one hour comment about?"

"Nothing, I-" Bo said.

"Yeah right," Tamsin interrupted her. "I've been banging you for over a year now, and you don't think I can tell when you're lying? Now, if you don't tell me what that was all about right now, I swear when we get home you are gonna be punished in ways you definitely won't enjoy..."

- Meanwhile, on the 14th floor -

"What amazing technologies they have here!" Helena was in awe when she saw the cutting edge equipment, "It's rather sad that mankind can make such marvels… that can see through a pumping heart, or into the firing of neurons, but the world isn't getting any better."

"That's why we are here," Myka said. "To make it better."

"You are always such an optimist," Helena smiled as she gently stroked Myka's cheek.

"One of us has to be, right?" Myka said, smiling back at her. "Ok, back to the artifact, what do you think it is?"

"Certainly not these innovative machines here," Helena said. "It has to be something old, something related to medicine, possibly closely related to disease."

"But, what could possibly be old enough to be an artifact, and be kept in some place like this..." Myka asked as she looked around. All she saw was conference rooms, offices, and labs.

"How about that room over there?" Helena asked, as she pointed at an office at the end of the hall. The door was half-open, and from what they could see inside the room, it was decorated in an antique style.

"I'd definitely say we should check it out," Myka agreed, pulling her gun out and shielding Helena behind her back as she slowly walked towards the room. She pushed the door slightly, and it opened slowly. A dead man was lying beside the desk with a glass in his hand. Whatever was in the glass had spilled on the carpet. Just like other victims there was dry, traces black blood left on his face.

"This man was quite a collector..." Helena said as she took a glance at the two display cases on the right side of the room.

"And the chief scientist in this lab too," Myka said, picking up the nametag on the desk. She lowered her gun after she quickly searched the room and made sure there was no danger. Then she walked to Helena and asked, "So, I guess it's one of the things in the display case that is causing all this?"

"I'm not so sure..." Helena said. "Old handguns, knives, possibly war trophies from some battlefield… old coins, some personal items, hand written letters that look at least fifty years old… some of them could be worth a fortune, but… nothing medically related..."

"Let's just make sure?" Myka said, taking out a neutralizing bag.

"Better safe than sorry," Helena smiled at her, opening the cabinet. She threw a pair of gloves to the other woman and put on one pair on herself. Then they started to toss things into the bag, but none of them seemed to be an artifact.

"I am almost certain that if any artifact exists in this laboratory, it has to be inside this room," Helena said, turning her head to look around. She opened a few drawers and cabinet doors to search for possible artifacts, but found nothing.

"Let me check this guy's computer to see if there's anything," Myka said. She moved the mouse to turn on the computer screen.

"Unfortunately it's password protected," Helena said. She tried a few passwords, but they did not work.

"Well, I guess it's time to try this," Myka took a small item out from her pocket. It looked like an ordinary flash drive. She plugged it into the computer's USB port, and a few seconds later, the screen unlocked, and they were on the desktop.

"I wasn't aware that you could hack," Helena said, gazing into Myka's eyes.

"I can't. Claudia made this. She altered some artifact that once belonged to John von Neumann and made this password cracking device," Myka said. "Now, I feel like an idiot when I told her that I wouldn't need this, but thank God she insisted on me bringing it."

10:10pm - In the Building

"Your immune shot only works for 2 hours?!" Tamsin yelled at Bo after Bo told her the truth, "and you are still fucking standing here?! Get out, shit! Get the fuck out!"

"Sure, if you come with me," Bo tried to negotiate.

"No, this is my case, and I can't leave here until it's solved. Last time I heard the Wolf was still on his way to the fucking morgue."

"Then I'm not leaving," Bo said. "I've been worried about you all day, and I'm not gonna sit outside waiting."

"Now is not a good time to be clingy!"

"I'm not being clingy. I just think that you need someone you can trust inside the building with you until things are resolved," Bo said peacefully.

"I don't!" Tamsin said. "I don't need a fucking babysitter, shit! Do you not see how those people died in here? Do you want to be one of them?"

"Relax; I still have like 40 minutes left," Bo said. "And what if there's some monster or something like that that you can't kill alone?"

"One, there's hardly anything that I can't kill alone, and two, get the fuck out!"

"What, or you're gonna make me?" Bo asked.

"Oh, game on Succubus," Tamsin said, stepping forward to grab the brunette's collar. "Never, never challenge a Valkyrie, sweetheart."

"Oh shut up Tamsin," Bo said, slapping her hand off. "If I were you and you were me right now, you'd have done the same thing! You think you would just walk out that door and leave me here?"

"Then you should have a damn good idea of why I am kicking you out!"

"I do," Bo said. "But I still have 40 minutes, and I think we just wasted like 2 of them arguing."

Tamsin sighed. She had been with Bo long enough to know the brunette sometimes could be as stubborn as a mule, and when she did, there was no way to convince her otherwise. "Fine." The blonde said, giving up. "But you are getting out of here in 40 minutes, and I don't care how hard I need to kick your ass to make you do that."

"Well, if Dyson can't chop off three heads in 40 minutes, I'm gonna kick his ass when I get out." Bo said, laying a kiss on Tamsin's lips. "Now, further investigation, shall we?"

- Meanwhile - On the 14th floor

"Find anything?" Helena asked after she finished searching through the room

"No..." Myka said, her eyes still focusing on the computer screen. After the password was cracked by Claudia's device, she went through everything in the computer, but most of the files were research journals and documentations of the man's work.

"Looks like it's solely his research stuff, and to tell you the truth, I almost failed biology in college so..."

"Does he have an inventory, or a list of some kind, that maybe leads to a certain collection of his?"

"No, I don't see anything..." Myka said, scrolling down to skim through the documents, "Just his research, on some... Yersinia pestis thing..."

"Yersinia pestis?" Helena frowned, "Let me see."

"What? Why?" Myka said, staring at the other woman.

"Remember that girl, that detective, said something about she walked amongst the dead several hundred of years ago?" Helena said.

"Yeah, and I totally had to keep reminding myself that I am not in some fiction."

"She said this is similar to the Black Death," Helena said.

"Yes, because she thinks that it is a Nachzehrer who caused all of this. And the concept of a Nachzehrer is basically derived from the fear of the epidemic, because back then, people didn't really know much about the cause of it so they blamed it on something fictional."

"Myka," Helena said. "According to the researched finished in 2010, the cause of Black Death is Yersinia pestis, and it was further confirmed in 2011."

"Wait, what do you mean?" Myka frowned, "You are saying that this man was researching Yersinia pestis, the cause of the Black Death?"

"Yes," Helena nodded. "Isn't it too much of a coincidence that this gentleman is doing research on some deadly bacteria, and suddenly all the people here died like they were killed by some fatal disease?"

"Wait, you are not agreeing with them, are you?" Myka asked. "The warehouse gave the alarm, and-"

"No, I am not agreeing with them. I know it's an artifact," Helena said. "And, I think this artifact may be related to the Black Death."

10:35pm - Inside the Building

"Ok, 10 minutes left, Succubus," Tamsin said as she looked at her cell phone.

"Technically, 15," Bo corrected. "Well, I don't see anything special besides the dead bodies. Do you?"

"I don't see shit. Just dead bodies..." Tamsin agreed, her eyes wandering in the hallway aimlessly.

"Something's bothering you?" Bo asked, frowning.

"Yes, you!" Tamsin said. "Damn it, Bo, just leave here already. I'll take care of this."

"I still have 10 minutes," Bo said.

"God, no 10 minute, no 1 more second. I should have kicked you out half an hour ago!" Tamsin said. "I can't even focus on any of this shit right now! I see one dead body, I see your face on it. Can't you just get out so I can do my job?"

"I still-" Bo began but was interrupted by the beeping walkie-talkie. She answered it with her eyes on the blonde. Seeing how irritated the blonde was, she reached her arm out to take the blonde into her embrace.

"Lauren, what's up?" Bo said as she laid a light kiss on the blonde's lips.

"Good news, Dyson just finished his work," Lauren said. "He's coming over with the tissue samples of those first three deaths. I think you two can come out now."

Bo heard Tamsin letting out a deep breath. She turned off the walkie-talkie and turned to the Valkyrie. "Alright, we can get out now."

"Oh fucking finally," Tamsin said. "Let's get outta here. You only have like 5 minutes left."

- Meanwhile - On the 14th floor

After searching through other places inside the building and finding nothing, Helena and Myka went back to the chief scientist's office again, because it was the only place with things that were old enough to be artifacts.

"Why don't you go through his computer and I will check everything else in the room this time?" Myka said as she rolled her sleeves up. "Clearly you know more biology than I do...maybe you can find something in there, like they used Alex Fleming's petri dishes or something here."

"I highly doubt Alex Fleming's petri dish caused this. I think it should rather be an artifact of curing something like this," Helena said. "The thing we are looking for should be something evil..." stopping for a second or two, before she continued, "Interesting..."

Myka turned to the other woman with a stack of books in her hands, her eyebrows raised. "What?" She asked.

"There is a scanned copy of a journal, written in Japanese..." Helena said. "And it seems that he was translating it into English..."

"And it's interesting because..."

"Because it's related to yersinia pestis too," Helena explained. "And it's about… human experiments on civilians using yersinia pestis, and a few other bacteria, or viruses."

"Human experiments?!" Myka exclaimed, "Are you serious? That is something you go to jail for! And, you better not tell me they were doing that here… or anywhere else in the world."

"Well, as far as I can tell this journal belongs to someone named, Shiro Ishii, and whoever he is, he's pure evil, if everything in his journal is true," Helena said.

"Let me call Artie then. Maybe this guy has everything to do with what happened here," Myka said as she called the elder man.

"Hey Artie, need some info here," Myka said as soon as the Farnsworth patched her through. "Can you cross reference a Shiro Ishii with this lab? We think that he might be related to this artifact."

"So, you two have a lead on the artifact?"

"Yeah. We figure that it's related to the bacteria which caused the Black Death, and we found a journal about human experiments written by this Shiro guy..."

"Wait… wait a minute..." Artie murmured, lifting his glasses anxiously. "Shiro Ishii, yersinia pestis, why does it sound so familiar… Shiro Ishii… Shiro Ishii..." he repeated the name as he did a search on his computer. "Myka, Shiro Ishii was a war criminal who was doing some major research on biological warfare during WWII. His unit performed human experiments on civilians. They infected them with deadly bacteria, and then documented everything so they could have a better idea of how the disease would kill people. They even tried to use rats and fleas as the carriers to spread the epidemic..."

"Please, tell me he was hanged after the war was over," Myka said.

"Unfortunately, no," Artie said. "His team traded their research for immunity, so he was never prosecuted."

Myka cursed with her hands fisted. Helena sighed and caressed her back lightly to calm her down.

"Anyway, he died not too long after the war. Let me know when you two have further findings. Artie out."

"I feel that whatever the artifact is, it is related to this guy," Myka said, putting down the communication device.

"But what could it be..."

"It has to be old, related to his research I think, probably some personal item..." Myka murmured, her eyebrows furrowed. Suddenly, something occurred to her. "Wait, maybe it's the journal… what if it's the journal. I mean, it totally fits the profile! It's old, it's a personal item, and it's totally related to his crimes… and we haven't seen it anywhere yet."

"Makes sense," Helena said. "Let's find it, shall we?"

"But, we've been through everything in here..." Myka said.

"Oh, darling, trust me, people who appreciate antiques like this, must have some secret deposits in here somewhere."

"Well great. Let's find it then."

10:50pm - Outside the Building

"What's wrong?" Bo asked when she saw the look on Tamsin's face. As they exited from the building, the blonde frowned a little. Bo saw her turning back for a glance at the building.

"Nothing," Tamsin said, frowning even more, "It's just..."

"What is it?" Bo asked, holding Tamsin's hand in hers.

Tamsin shook her head and started to walk again. They were immediately directed to a tent by Lauren's people.

"Ok. Now I'm kinda worried," Bo said, as she sat down on the bed inside. She looked at the blonde, whose eyebrows furrowed. "What is it?"

"I need to make sure of something," Tamsin said. Then she took the walkie-talkie and turned it on. "Put the wolf on. I need to speak to him."

A few seconds later, Dyson's voice came from the speaker. "Glad you're Ok, partner."

"Yeah, probably can't make it to your bar fight tonight," Tamsin said. "Tell me exactly how you killed the Nachzehrer."

"Why?" Dyson sounded amused. "You don't think I know how to kill a Nachzehrer?"

"Just… entertain me, Ok?"

"Alright. All three bodies, coin in the mouth, head chopped off," Dyson said.

"And, we are absolutely sure those bodies were the first deaths?"

"Yes," Dyson said. "We checked it thoroughly, remember? There were no other deaths before them."

"Ok..." Tamsin said with her eyebrows still furrowed as she turned off the device.

"Alright Tamsin," Bo said, forcing the blonde to face her by placing her hand on each side of her face. "Either you tell me what is going on, or I make you."

Tamsin huffed out a light laugh, as if she was mocking Bo's comment about making her do anything. Then she said after letting out the deep breath, "I think... I don't think we are done yet."

"Of course not. We need to stay in this stupid tent for hours, maybe days," Bo complained.

"No," Tamsin said. "I don't think we killed the Nachzehrer, not yet."

"Huh?" Bo said, confused, "I thought you said by killing the first victim, you kill the Nachzehrer. Did Dyson kill the wrong guy or something?"

"No," Tamsin said. "I'm sure he did it correctly. It's just… I still feel the death surrounding this place, just like what I felt when I walked among the dead bodies in Europe before..."

"So, you think it's one of the bodies inside the building?"

"No... those people died after those three deaths," Tamsin said. "But, the first death should not be outside this place, because if it was, the outbreak wouldn't have happened here."

"Hey..." Bo said, taking the blonde into her embrace. "Do you think maybe it's because of the… artifact thing those two chicks talked about?"

"I don't know… but we need to figure this shit out, fast," Tamsin said.

- Meanwhile - On the 14the floor

"No secret rooms, or closets, or drawers..." Myka said as she turned around to look at everything inside the room. "No hidden safe… where is this journal?"

Helena did not say anything. She carefully examined the books on the bookshelves. Then she stopped in front of one of them and said, "It's always the dust that gives your secrets away."

"What?"

"The dust," Helena explained, taking a book from the shelf. "All other books have dust on them, except this one." She opened the book, and saw the center of the pages were cut out, with a journal book in the hollow space. It looked old, with some minor water damage on the cover. The pages had already turned yellow, and a few were half eaten by moth. Helena turned a few pages and said, "I think it's the journal that man was translating..."

"Jackpot!" Myka said, taking out a neutralizing bag. Helena threw it in. After a few energy shocks and blue lightning strikes inside, the bag went back to normal again.

"Another day saved," Helena said.

"Yeah, except that we probably are going to be in the quarantine tents for hours."

"Like camping, isn't it?" Helena smiled, "Besides, we can go talk to those two girls. I want to hear more stories about this… this Fae world."

11:20pm - Quarantine Tent

"So this artifact thing, it turned out to be real?" Bo asked Myka when the four of them were inside the tent.

"Yep," Myka waved the journal notebook at her. "It's neutralized now."

"But, the death has not left yet..." Tamsin said. "Something must be wrong..."

"I thought you said you guys killed the Nachzehrer."

"No, we chopped the heads off those thought to be the first victims of the disease," Tamsin said. "But, finding the first victim is always tricky in a Nachzehrer hunt, and that was why the Spanish flu killed off like 3% of the world's population before they chopped the right victim's head off."

"You still think this was caused by a Nachzehrer, not the artifact?" Helena asked. "Because we have it right here."

"I don't know anything about the artifact, but definitely a Nachzehrer was involved, because-" Tamsin didn't get to finish her sentence because the walkie-talkie beeped.

"What's up Lauren?" Bo asked.

"Bo, I think Tamsin was right, whatever caused this has not been eliminated yet," Lauren said. "The bacteria is less active now, but still crazy compared to the normal level..."

"Ok, we're on it," Bo said, hanging up. She turned to Tamsin and said, "So we have a Nachzehrer and an artifact here, both at the same time?"

"It's possible that the artifact amplified the power of this… Nachzehrer," Helena said. "Maybe that's why your doctor friend finds the bacteria less active, because we neutralized the amplifier."

"Ok, so let's say we didn't kill the Nachzehrer. Where is the first victim then?"

"We need to sort everything through from the very beginning," Tamsin said, "We know that whoever died first, died here, inside that building, because if not, the whole thing would have started somewhere else. So, we have the first three reported deaths, now with their heads chopped off, and we haven't seen any deaths older inside this building."

"And, we checked the basement, underground parking, all deaths were recent," Helena said.

"You said reported deaths," Bo said. "What if the first death was not reported."

"I highly doubt that. Someone died in here, and no one reported it?" Tamsin asked. " It doesn't make sense..."

"Well what if this someone died somewhere like… no one would notice?"

"Like...?" Tamsin asked, facing Bo.

"I don't know… like the sewage system...? Ok, that's ridiculous, why would anyone even go down there?" Bo said. "I mean… since their vent system apparently has rats running inside, the sewage is probably full of those nasty things, right?"

"Wait. Wait, what?" Helena interrupted Bo, "Say that again."

"Why would anyone even go down there?" Bo repeated, frowning.

"No. No, the sentence after that."

"You mean that sewage system is probably be full of rats?"

"Yes, that!" Helena exclaimed. "Yersinia pestis infects both humans and rats. What if… what if the first victim is not human? I mean, we have experimental animals in there, we have rats running around, maybe it's not a person, but an animal?"

"Shit!" Tamsin cursed. "Maybe that's it. I mean, what else could it possibly be. We've examined every human body inside, and it's not one of them. Nachzehrer was never said to be human only. It's just in cases that I know of, it was a human body." She took the walkie-talkie and said, "Gotta tell the doc. Her team needs a full sweep of this place."

6:50am - In the Tent

"We've found the first victim," Lauren told all of them. "It turned out to be a dead rat in one of the vent tunnels. I've been monitoring the bacteria activities for the past few hours, and when they chopped the head of that rat, the bacteria's active level drastically decreased. And the pathogen is completely vanished now. I've tested your blood samples and you are not carrying anything, so I think you are safe to go."

"You sure?" Bo asked with her eyes fixed on Tamsin's face.

"Yeah, I think they got the right one this time," Tamsin said, " I can feel it. The death is gone."

Lauren nodded. Then she said, "Ok, now I have tons of things to do, and a desk full of paperwork that I need to file, so I'll just leave. Just in case, any one of you feel anything unusual in next seven to ten days, please contact me." Then she nodded at Bo with a smile on her face, before she left the tent.

"Well, I think it's time for us to go too. Need to report to the warehouse asap," Myka said to Tamsin and Bo

"Later then," Tamsin nodded.

"Maybe we should have tea some time," Helena said to Bo. "And promise me next time you will finish your story about that Kappa you killed before..."

"Sure thing," Bo said, watching the other two brunettes leave. Then she turned back to look at the blonde, and the blonde was looking right back at her. They both smiled with a relief.

"So, shall we go home and have some fun, officer?" Bo asked.

"Hell yeah, if fun means vodka, a hot shower and some sleep."

Bo took the blonde's hand in hers and laid a kiss on the back of her hand. "Let's go," she said, walking out with Tamsin's hand in hers.

The moment Bo stepped out of the tent, she saw Dyson and Kenzi standing outside. She immediately let go of Tamsin's hand and cleared her throat.

"Kenzi! What… what are you doing here? And Dyson… you… you are still here..." Bo said, trying hard not to sound spooked.

"Your best friend hasn't seen you all day and she's worried about you, all that kinda shit," Kenzi said with her eyes still on Bo's hand and her arms crossed in front of her chest. "And when she saw you, she saw that." Her fingers waved in the air, pointing at Bo's hand then Tamsin's hand. "Care to explain?"

" Yeah, that… is totally… totally not..." Bo muttered, "Ok… well… first of all… I should say… I mean..."

"Nice try sweetheart," Tamsin leaned close to her ear behind her and whispered. "Your stutter is working great."

"I mean… I can explain..." Bo said. Then she couldn't get another word out. For a moment, none of them said anything as the awkward silence filled the air. Kenzi stared at them with her foot tapping on the ground, and Dyson just had the busted smile on his face.

"Oh, chill you freaks! It's not like we just figured this shit out, Ok? We know you two have been banging each other's brain out for over a year now, Ok?"

"What?" Bo said. "You… you knew about that… how… I mean… how long… I mean..."

"Too long!" Kenzi exclaimed. "And one day you are gonna tell me everything, like who kissed who first, who made the first move, without those mind refreshing Succubus details of course."

"Oh, God..." Tamsin moaned in frustration. "Make sure when you do that, I'm at least five miles away from you two."

8:50am - Tamsin's Apartment

After having some food and a hot shower, both Bo and Tamsin tucked under the blanket to snuggle. It was the first time of the day that they felt peaceful and relaxed, after a long day of death, disease and case solving. Neither of them said anything for a while. They just enjoyed the silent moment in each other's arms.

Laying a kiss on the Valkyrie's forehead, Bo held her tighter. The blonde melted in her embrace, her eyes closed and her head resting on Bo's chest. Twirling a lock of Tamsin's hair in her fingers, Bo whispered to her, " I love you."

"Yeah, I kinda figured that out when you insisted on staying with me in that building," Tamsin said. "It's either stupidity or love, actually maybe it's the former..."

Bo chuckled, taking the blonde's hand in hers and intertwined their fingers. "A regular I love you too would work better, officer," she said.

Huffing out a light laugh, Tamsin pressed her lips on Bo's collar bone. Then she moved up to kiss the brunette on her lips. Pulling back a little after a few seconds, she gazed into Bo's warm brown eyes. "I love you too," she whispered. "I love you too."

A/N: So sorry for the long wait guys, being stuck with school work and other stories and the new season high.

I mentioned Shiro Ishii in this story, and he was a real person. He was a microbiologist and led the Unit 731 of Japanese army. During WWII his unit did a lot of human experiment on civilians and POWs in the northern east China area, in order to get first hand results on how efficient thing like Anthrax, Cholera or Bubonic plague could be if they used they as weapon. And it was true that after the war, in order not to be prosecuted, he and his team traded their research for immunity.

I personally think epidemic outbreak is one of the worst things that can happen to us. I was in Beijing during the SARS outbreak, and it's hard to believe that such an over populated city suddenly became absolutely empty because everyone just stayed home in order not to catch anything.

Anyway, hope everyone enjoys this story :)
