Frigga ran to the room where Kaysa and Loki were lying. Both of them were sweating and breathing hard. Kaira ran after the Queen and placed herself next to her sister as she called the servants to help her. Frigga joined her.

"She is full of chaos," Kaira said as she placed her hands on her sister's head. "Now she is battling with it." Kaira looked worried at the Queen. "I don't know if she is going to make it." The Queen knelt next to Kaira and placed her hand on Kaysa's head. She murmured a spell and it was when Kaysa's breath became slower.

"This should help her to regain forces." Kaira nodded but she was not willing to leave her sister. However, the Queen had called her to work with Loki too. Kaira remembered seeing him faint after Kaysa ended with a dark cloud coming from him. She walked to him and pressed her hands against his chest. Kaira focused on seeing the light that Loki should have in himself but nothing was coming out. "What's wrong?" Frigga asked as she saw Kaira's face contracting.

"He is..." Kaysa was thinking about the correct word to say. "Empty." She said after a while. The Queen seemed not to understand the situation. "Here," Kaira said as she walked to her sister again and placed her hands over her chest. She then turned them up and showed a body of light. "We all have some light inside us." Kaira could see the baby inside her sister's belly. It was small but Kaira could see the legs and arms forming. "However, your son..." Kaira tried to do the same with Loki but nothing could be seen. "He is void." Kaira was not brave enough to say loud out. The Queen sat next to him as she pressed her hand on his head.

"But he has got beat," the Queen looked at him. "It is light, but he had it." Kaira stood up with a sad face. How could she tell a mother that her son was about to die? Her eyes went back to Kaysa. What would she say once she woke up and saw that Loki was not in that world anymore? She would be mad at her, for not helping him. And then the baby. An idea started in Kaira's mind but she needed to think about it. She was about to exit the room when the Queen stopped her. "Are you leaving?" Kaira turned. She could see the pain of a mother. Although Frigga was not saying it aloud, she did not want to be alone.

"I need to think. Maybe I can find a solution." Kaira felt bad saying that. "I'm not sure there is one. But I need to think." For a second, she saw hope in Frigga's eyes. A moment later, the Queen got back to her role. "Can you keep him with us a bit more?" Kaira asked and the Queen nodded as she held Loki's hand. Kaira looked at them one last time before going out of the room.

Kaira's room was a mess. Books were opened on her bed as some plants and flowers. She needed to find a solution for Loki and her main idea was about transferring some of her energy to him. However, it was the first time she thought about it and was not sure that someone would have been able to do it before. That was the reason she had all the books about elve's light and some plants to do some trials.

"Work, fuck!" She screamed as she threw a dead plant to the other side of the room. She was not getting any results and her time was running out. "What am I missing?" Kaira read for the tenth time the same book. A knock on her door distracted her. Thor opened the door after a second. "Thor?" Kaira did not think about him. Her mind was so busy with her sister and Loki that she forgot that maybe he needed her help too. "Are you injured?" Kaira asked as she walked to him, holding his hands. Thor socked his head as he held tighter Kaira's hands.

"What are you doing?" He asked as he saw the mess in Kaira's room. Kaira explained frustrated with the situation. Thor sat down once she finished her story. His eyes were miles away.

"I'm trying my best but..." Kaira sat down next to him. They did not hold each other. "I don't know what else I can do. Every time I try with different species I am failing." Kaira pointed to the dead plants.

"Have you tried with the same one?" Thor asked. Kaira looked at him. "What if you just need to work with the same kind of energy?" Kaira walked to the different plants. She took one that had two identical flowers. Kaira separated them and held each one in one of her hands. She extracted the vision of their light and called a spell. The flower on her right started to shine brighter than the one on her left. "It is working?" Thor asked as he saw the flowers in Kaira's hands. Kaira nodded scared. It had worked with flowers and it could work with humans too, but with Gods? "Let's try with me and Loki."

"Thor, you just ended a battle. You need to rest first and-" Kaira complained but Thor stopped her.

"He is my brother. You would do the same with your sister, right?" Kaira looked at him as she nodded. He was right.

"Let's go then. We don't have much time." Kaira took Thor's hand and walked out of her room as faster as she could.

The scenario, once they arrived, was similar to the one that Kaira left. Frigga was next to Loki as she also kept an eye on Kaysa. She was moving like in a nightmare. Kaira walked to her and it was when the Queen noticed.

"What's wrong?" Kaira knelt, unable to understand why her sister was not recovering herself.

"Let me see it," Queen Frigga said as she tried to see in her mind. Her hands shaking. She opened her eyes quickly as she ordered her servants to place her in a bath tube. Thor took her instead. "Place her there, run." Kaira run and asked her about the problem. "The baby has a fever!" Kaira looked at her sister. She could not believe she was so focused on her sister that she forgot about the baby.

"What can I do?" Kaira walked to Thor.

"We need to cool the water." The Queen walked to the tube and place her hands over the surface. "Do you have something that could help?" Kaira thought and nodded as she do as the Queen. She repeated some words in elvish one and another time until the water was cold enough. "Stop it." The Queen ordered. "Or we will kill her." Kaira nodded as she looked one last time at Kaysa. "Queen Kaira, do you have something that would help my son?" Kaira was brought back to reality.

Kaira explained briefly her idea. She walked to Loki and waited for the Queen to do an approval movement. Frigga looked at her two sons and nodded. She was not sure about Kaira's plan.

Kaira took Loki's hand and then Thors. She held him tightly and shot him a caring look. She really appreciated his help. Thor took her hand and pressed his lips on her palm before she started her spell. The words flew through Kaira's lips. At first, they were soft but she gained more confidence and started shouting. Kaira was waiting to feel Thor's energy through her body. She was the bridge that would drive the energy to Loki. She repeated and waited more, but nothing was changing.

"Is it working?" Frigga asked as she saw no change in Loki.

"I don't know what is wrong." Kaira changed the position of her hands and tried again. "It has worked with the plants." She looked at Thor and then at her hands again, wondering if she was doing something wrong. Frigga ordered Kaira to tell her about the spell with the plants, trying to find the mistake. She paled when she understood the situation.

"The flowers... They were from the same plant, weren't they?" Kaira nodded and Thor started talking about how he saw the spell working. Frigga sat down and covered her face as she realized the mistake in Kaira's spell. "It is not going to work." She lamented as she tried to make up her mind about the idea that she was to lose her son.

"Mother, she is trying her best to safe my brother," Thor said as he saw the disappointed face of Kaira.

"That's the problem." Frigga picked carefully the words that she thought she would never say. "He is not your brother."

Silence reigned in the room. Kaira was holding Thor's arm as he was trying to understand his mother's words. Frigga stood up and fixed her eyes on Thor's as she told him about how they found Loki when he was only a baby. She told him how she thought it was one of Odin's bastards at the beginning, but she learnt some weeks later his true naturality. He was a frost giant rejected by his size for the ones of his kind. Kaira felt as Thor tensed every minute that passed by.

"We cannot safe him then," Thor said as he held Kaira's hand tightly.

"I am afraid that we cannot use the spell that Queen Kaira was thinking about." Kaira looked down as she felt useless. She was not able to do anything but create problems. Kaysa's moans made her look up at her. If she was not able to save Loki, she needed to save her sister at least. "The baby is killing her," Frigga said as she place her hands on Kaysa's belly. "We cannot save both o them." It was when Kaira understood the situation.

"The baby." Kaira stood up and called for some doctors. "It has Loki's blood." The Queen looked at her surprised.

"You can save Loki and Kaysa." Kaira nodded.

"Although they are going to lose the baby."

"It doesn't matter." The Queen said as she order Thor to place Kaysa in the bed. "I need both of them alive." Kaira looked at her sister and then at the Queen as she nodded and made some space for the doctors to come.

It had been two months since the day that Kaira saved Loki and Kaysa's lives. Kaysa was sitting in the royal's gardens, enjoying some time in the sun. She was wearing an elven dress that the Queen had ordered to do just for her. She was playing with the skirt of it when she heard a voice behind her.

"You look gorgeous today, my Queen." Kaysa looked up and met Loki. They had not been alone together since the day they both woke up. Kaysa knew about how Loki almost lost his life, and the only solution to save him was their baby. She felt relieved for having him back, although she also felt as if something was missing. Kaysa had not spoken about it with anyone. "Can I join you?" Kaysa nodded as she embraced her hands over her legs and looked at the birds that were flying in front of her. Loki however could not keep his eyes out of her. For the first time since she arrived in Asgard, she was not hiding under any spell. He could admire her true beauty. Loki could also see the sadness in her eyes, and he knew the reason. "I have not thanked you yet." He moved his look to the birds. "For saving my life."

"It was not my choice." Kaysa smiled and looked at him.

"You could hate me." Loki turned to her and smiled too. He took one of her hands slowly.

"You know that's something that would never happen." Kaysa rested her head against Loki's shoulder. It was true. She learnt that she could not hate Loki anymore, because she was deep in love with him. Kaysa stayed like that for a couple of minutes until they heard a melody that announced the arrival of some visitants. Loki stood up and held her as he asked her to walk with him to the palace. "Do you think it is a good idea they see us together?"

"My Queen, they already know about us." He laughed as he offered his arm. Kaysa doubted whether she should take it or not, but she ended up giving up.

"You still need to work on your situation," Kaysa said while they walked through the halls of the palace. Loki was in a delicate situation with his marriage. Ada was missing since the battle. Nobody found her body so they supposed that she had been dragged to the underworld with Hela and the others. When Kaysa heard about that some weeks ago, a new hope grow in her. She thought that finally, Loki and she could have their happy ending after all. However, she learn then that Loki needed to wait for one year without any news of Ada to declare his marriage over. Meanwhile, he was still a married man.

"Let the time pass by while we organize our future together, my Queen." Loki smiled. When he woke up alone in the room, the first thing he did was look for Kaysa. He remembered seeing her completely exhausted. When he found her, she was lying in the bed in her new room. The Queen had moved her to one of the guest rooms near the royal chambers. Loki did not think twice and ran to her, making sure that nothing wrong had happened. When Kaysa locked her eyes with him, he felt as if he had been reborn. All his worries, all his pain, all his hate faded away. Nothing else mattered except Kaysa. That night they stood awake talking about everything they feel for each other and it was when Loki knew about the fate of their baby. He felt sorry and tried to comfort her but she reject it, saying she was fine. Since that night, Loki ordered his servants to move Kaysa to his room. He was not willing to leave her alone while she recovered herself. But then he knew about Ada missing. Loki knew about the process till the end of his marriage and he tried to explain it to Kaysa. At first, he was scared that she would not understand it, but Kaysa surprised him. She told him she would wait for him all the time they need. That night Loki decided to profess all the love he felt for Kaysa in every way he knew.

Loki and Kaysa arrived at the throne room which was crowded. A lot of people were concentrating in front of the throne, making it impossible to reach it. Loki walked by with Kaysa next to him and climbed the stairs that lead to a pair of free seats that were waiting for them. Loki looked at Kaysa one last time before she parted to the seat in front of him. The Queen was sitting next to him. She shot him a funny glance and she looked tenderly at her other son, Thor, who was waiting with Kaira for Odin to start the ceremony.

Kaira looked at her sister that was seated next to some soldiers and other important women from Asgard. They exchanged a smile. Kaira was so nervous that her hands started sweating. She moved in her place and stopped when she felt Thor's hand caressing her back, trying to comfort her. They looked at each other and Kaira smiled as she remember how a month ago Thor arrived in her room with the news of their wedding. At first, she thought that it was only an idea. She knew that Odin would never approve of it. Kaira argued with Thor about that, telling him not to play games with her. Odin came then followed by the Queen. They had a proud look. Kaira shut up and bowed, not looking at them. Odin ordered her to face him and it was when he informed her that he was approving the petition of his son about marrying her. Kaira could not believe Odin's words as she told him that she was condemned as a rebel.

"Ladies and sirs," Odin announced, bringing Kaira back to reality. "It is an honour for me and my family. My son Thor has decided to get married to one of the saviours of the city." The crowd started to cheer with joy and happiness. Kaira blushed. "And she has decided not only to save us but her role as the future queen of Asgard by accepting the proposal." More cheers were heard. Thor and Kaira turned to face each other as Odin kept talking. She could not wait to see her new life with the man that she love. After all that time, she had managed to have her happy ending.

After the ceremony, everybody went out to the gardens to eat and enjoy the evening. Kaira and Thor walked around the group of different people to thank them for coming. Kaysa looked at them with a funny look. Her sister was wearing a golden dress with brown flowers in the skirt that matched the golden cape of Thor.

"They look very happy." Kaysa felt her heart beat faster. She turned and met Odin, who was drinking a cup while watching his son a Kaira.

"Indeed," Kaysa answered as she heard the laughter of her sister. "I want to thank you, All-Father. Thank you for letting them be together."

"Your sister did a great job helping Asgard." Kaysa felt a pinch of pain in her stomach. She also fought for the realm. She even sacrificed her child and self for it. But she would never be considered a hero for Odin. She would never have the approval of marrying Loki. Odin seemed to read Kaysa's mind. "But she left your people alone."

"My people?"

"All the elves are in Alfheim now. After the war, they decided to start again as a single realm." Kaysa nodded as she thought if some of the dark elves would be among them. "But they are still waiting for a Queen." She turned slowly to Odin.

"I'm sorry, King Odin. But I think I am not understanding you."

"Who better than the Queen of dark elves to guide them." Odin turned to Kaysa. "My child. We all made mistakes in the past. Let's learnt about them and try to start again." He realised in Loki's figure that was waiting some feet away from them. "But I think, it is better that you find a man that will help you as a King." His eye fixed on Loki's. With a movement of his head, he ordered his son to walk to them. Loki walked slowly and place himself next to Kaysa, stroking her back with his hand. "Maybe my son can help you with that. He knows a lot about the elven culture and I think it is not a problem with him."

"But my marriage," Loki began to say but Odin cut him off.

"I am sure that you are going to need some time to prepare everything." Odin smiled as he left the couple alone. Loki turned to Kaysa.

"That he means...?" Kaysa asked trying to control her excitement.

"I think yes." Loki laughed as he hugged Kaysa and spin her around. He put her back on the floor and kissed her lips tenderly. "I think we should go and prepare everything for our leave, my dear Queen." Loki cupped Kaysa's face between his hands.

"I think you are right, my King," Kaysa answered. She got the feeling that after all, she would also manage to have her happy ending.

For those who followed the story till this part. Thank you so much. I have so much fun writing about them and somehow I feel like I cannot end with them yet. Maybe it would be nice to have the second part of them. We will see in time. I hope you have enjoyed the story.
