"Do I Really Need To Do This?" Scythle asked her new headmaster and his assistant, tapping her foot on the launchpad beneath her feet. "You Guys Already Know I'm Awesome Enough To Attend This School, Or Did You Miss The Fight Two Chapters Ago?"

"We are very well aware of your combat prouesse, Ms. Rose." Ozpin began.

"That's Ms. Dieful To You."

"However, you have yet to complete initiation proper." Ozpin went on, completely ignoring her remark. "If you are going to be attending this school, you are going to be treated as any other student, Ms. Rose."

"Die-ful."

"Now then, would you like to explain her task, Glynda?" Ozpin stated, more of an order than a question, as he stepped to the side allowing Glynda to come forward.

"Seeing as how you're the only one preforming initiation today, we're going to be doing things a little differently than usual." Glynda began. "Once you are catapulted into the Emerald Forest, you are to make your way North until you find the ruins-"

"Can You Really Call Them Ruins When You Set Them Up To Look Like That?" Scythle questioned.

"-And retrieve the Black Knight Piece." Glynda finished with agitation. "You are then to return to Beacon and we shall -Begrudgingly- Welcome you into Team RWBY."

"And What Exactly Is Stopping Me From Running Off?" Scythle asked, hands on her hips and a smirk on her face.

"The tracking device we placed on you." Glynda stated. "Of did you miss our meeting two chapters ago?"

"Actually, That Was Three."

"If our trackers show that you have left the limits of the Emerald Forest without returning to it, we will consider it an escape attempt and hunt you down." Glynda stated, sending a menacing glare at the young killer. "And we both know what will happen to you then."

Scythle preformed the stereotype for all people who realize a dreadful position they are in and swallowed a wad of spit as her eyes went wide. "R-Right."

"Good." Glynda stated as she pulled up her tablet. "Now then, I hope you have a landing strategy."

"Landing Strate-GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Scythle began asking before the platform beneath her suddenly activated, catapulting her into the forest.

Glynda let out a sigh as the oh-so glorious sound of Scythle in peril filled the air. Music to her ears. She and Ozpin began their walk back to Beacon as the sound of Scythle's cries became more and more distant. "Ten Lien says she gets eaten by a Death Stalker."

"Challenge accepted."

Slowing her descent was simple for Scythle, using her cape as a para-glider was one the most common uses of her wardrobe, and it's come in handy many times over the course of her criminal career.

Of course, luck was never on her side. The first thing that happened to her was a bird hit her in the face and got caught in her hood. As she attempted to get it out, her cape returned to it's less rigid state and she began falling at an alarming pace. By the time she got it out and was ready to return to gliding, a branch hit her in the face. She then proceeded to tumble down the tree, hitting every branch she came across like a game of pachinko.

She landed face first on the dirt with a loud thud! She let out an annoyed sigh before she began to pick herself back up and look around.

"Nailed It." Scythle said to herself as she stood up. "Now I Just Got To Find The Not-So-Ruined-Ruins, Bring Back A Chess Piece, And Then Pants Ozpin At The Welcome Ceremony."

And so Scythle began her trek to be properly welcomed into Beacon, readying her pistols for any Grimm she may encounter. After a few paces, she stopped herself as she realized a problem with her plan.

"Which Way's North?" Scythle wondered to herself as she pulled out her scroll to pull up a compass.

As it began unfolding, the top half of it fell off, producing a few sparks. Scythle stared at her now broken utility for a few seconds before shrugging. "I'll Get A New One Later." Scythle decided as she looked up at the sky to try and figure out which way the sun was moving.

"The Sun Sets To The North, Right?"

"'Just Head North Of Here, Scythle.' Yeah, Well That Would Be A Lot More Helpful If I Knew Which Way North Was." Scythle grumbled to herself as she slashed through bushes and other such flora, trekking in the general direction of the sun set that was several hours away.

A quick Scythleg round house kick later, and the remaining plant standing in her path was several ingredients away from being a salad. Stepping forward Scythle Found what looked like the remains of a small cave before being turned into a very large cave. Several rocks were scattered about, most of which appeared to be painted in some way. Though with their remains the way they were, it was impossible to tell what they were trying to say.

"Well, This Looks Pretty Ruin-y." Scythle said as she walked into the cave, shifting her Scythleg back into its peg-leg form. The sound of crunching grass beneath her feet vanished to give way to a clacking of stone. The light from outside the cave began fading around Scythle, as she went further than the light could reach. Within seconds, Scythle was surrounded by pitch black, unable to see beyond a few feet in front of her.

"God, Would It Kill Them To Light A Few Torches In This Place?" Scythle said to herself as she reached into her pockets to find something that could produce light. Finding nothing, the purple fighter switched to plan B and pulled out her pistols.

She then proceeded to let out a stream of bullets around the cave in an attempt to use the flash to light the cave. Illuminated before her, Scythle saw several large, black bulges with white spikes poking out of them, which slowly began to bent up. Scythle released the triggers and stood there as the blackness began to be illuminated yet again. This time by the dull, red lights of the Grimms's masks.

"Hehe, You Guys Wouldn't Happen To Know Which Way North Is, Would Ya?" Scythle asked, pointing her guns at the Ursas and realizing that she had spent both clips in her little stunt.

Scythle was then knocked back to the entrance of the cave. Quickly getting back to her feet, Scythle ejected the empty clips and began inserting new ones, turning to face her attackers. Looking up she saw the glow of one of their masks rushing towards her. Scythle did a quick turn and blasted out of the cave's mouth using her semblance. She then turned on her heel again to face her attacker and began unloading on it, realizing all to late that it was an Ursa Major. Her bullets either ricocheted off or got lodged into its bone plating.

The beast turned its attention to Scythle, the three other Ursa emerging from the cave. The Major made another charge at Scythle, this time Scythle fired off a shot from her Scythleg to propel herself above it and then fired another shot into the back of it's head, cracking its mask. As Scythle flew above it, she began shooting her pistols into the Ursa's back.

Scythle was then slammed into a wall by one of the Ursa Minors, causing her to drop her pistols. Peering over her shoulder, she saw another readying to claw at her. Scythle quickly pulled out her staff and used it to block to strike, stopping the slash half way and driving the Ursa off with a jolt of electricity. She then refolded her staff and pressed the taser end to the Ursa pinning her to the wall, shocking him and causing him to stumble backwards. Scythle then jumped off of the wall, over the Ursa, and fired a shot from her Scythleg into it's back.

Out the corner of her eye, she saw the Ursa Major coming in to attack again, so she fired a shot out at the ground, propelling her upwards. Looking back towards the wall, she saw her pistols laying on the ground with the Ursa Minor between them. Scythle aimed her Scythleg at the Ursa and fired three shots into it, the first two hitting it in its chest and shoulder, but the third shot ripped through its already damaged head.

Scythle bashed against a tree behind her and gripped onto the branches to stay above the Ursas. The remaining three Ursa made there way towards Scythle and began clawing at the tree to try and knock her down. Scythle then jumped over the three of them and launched herself towards her pistols.

As she grabbed at their grips, Scythle began fire off shots from her Scythleg at the three Ursa, further damaging the Ursa Major's mask and killing one of the minors. Scythle then pointed her pistols at them and pulled the trigger.

Click click click click click.

Scythle really needed to get longer clips.

Scythle refolded one of her pistols and put it back into her sleeve. She then used her Scythleg to once again jump over the Ursa and pulled out her staff again, planning to use it to keep them at a distance as she fired off shots from her Scythleg to finish them off. Instead, the remaining Ursa Minor Knocked it out of her hands and slashed at her, knocking her in the opposite direction of it. Shrugging it off, Scythle began reloading her pistol and brought her other pistol back out, this time switching it into knife mode.

Scythle charged at the Ursa, firing off shots while preparing to stab at it. What she forgot, however, was that there was an Ursa Major, who charged at her and slashed at her stomach. Scythle slashed her knife across its mask and, as she was being throwing back, throw her knife at it. Missing its head, the knife lodged itself into the Ursa's shoulder. The Ursa Minor than began to charge at the purple girl, so Scythle switched her Scythleg's blade open and spun herself around to slash the Ursa across it's chest. She then fired off her pistol's remaining shot into the Ursa's head, killing it.

She was then slammed to the ground by the Ursa major, which then attempted to bite down on her head. Scythle barely managed to shift her head out of the way as she bent her Scythleg up and shifted it back into rifle form. As the Ursa bent down to bite her again, Scythle fired off a shot, breaking it's mask off. The Ursa, angered, bit onto the barrel of Scythle's Scythleg in an attempt to break it off. What it got instead were three shots into its mouth, ripping out the back of its head.

As the beast's jaw released from Scythle's prosthetic, the blades began to fall off. Pulling herself up, Scythle looked down at the remains of her blade and assessed the damage.

"Yep, It's Broken." Scythle said as she picked up the blades. "Hopefully Ruby Can Fix These When I get Back." Placing the pieces on the magnet meant to hold her staff, Scythle then turned to where he staff was thrown to see that it had split in two upon impact with a rock. "Oh, So Ya Broke That Too!?" Scythle yelled as she turned to the dead Ursa and pulled out her pistol.

"Ya Know What." Scythle then fired three shots into the bear's corpse. "You Deserved That!" She then gripped the knife still protruding from its shoulder and pulled it out. Scythle then picked up the remains of her staff, now more of a pair of batons, and put them on top of the remains of her Scythleg as she began walking away from the cave. "You Jerks Didn't Even Give Me Directions!"

As Scythle marched towards what look like the ruins of a large tower, which was now not so very large, she heard what sounded like a sharp growl.

After quickly surveying the area around her, she realized that was her stomach. She pulled up her sleeve to look at the watch she didn't have and decided she had taken far too long to complete Ozpin's test.

"'Just Head North.' I Live In Cities! If I Need Directions, I'd Just Pull Out Google Maps." Scythle mumbled to herself as she peered over the ridge before her to what remained of the center tower. "Is That The Knight Piece?" She put a bit of distance between herself and the drop off and then ran towards it. Once she jumped off, she fired off a few shots to throw herself the rest of the way over.

She didn't give much though to her landing, however, and proceeded to tumble forwards. Rubbing the back of her head in order to get the pain to stop, she stood up and began walking to the center of the ruins. If Ozpin was going to put the Knight Piece anywhere, it would be there.

She found a grand total of absolutely nothing.

"Why Is A Stinking Chess Piece So Damn Hard To Find!" Scythle yelled as she threw a rock over the edge and into the abyss below.

As Scythle ran to the edge to throw herself back into the Emerald Forest, she heard what sounded like a deep, loud roar coming from the pits below her. Assuming it was just her stomach again, she threw herself over the edge and, as she prepared to fire off another few shots, saw a large shadow coming out of the mist.

Her landing being much softer thanks the to grass below her. Scythle quickly got up and look back at the ridge, and saw a pair of black claws rise from the depths.

"Oh, Come On!" Scythle pulled out her pistols as the biggest(And quite possibly first) Death Stalker she'd ever seen climbed out of the pits. Its stinger lodged in it's head, and a rock in one of its many eye sockets. "Uh, Would You Believe Me If I Said I Was About To Chase The Person Who Threw That?"

The Death Stalker released a shrill hiss at the girl in purple and readied it's claws to strike. "Yeah, I Didn't Think So."

Scythle then lunged at the beast, firing of a shot to propel herself above the beast's attack and began firing shots into its shoulders. The scorpion swung like a club and struck Scythle in the back, throwing her off. The Death Stalker spun around to face its prey and began swinging it's claws at Scythle, the girl in purple just barely avoiding its strikes. Scythle aimed her pistols at the beasts eyes and began firing.

Managing to hit at one, the beast recoiled in pain and stumbled backwards. Scythle then switched her pistols into knife form and lunged at the Death Stalker using her speed semblance, stabbing it in two more of its eyes. The creature swung its claws at Scythle and knocked her away from it, leaving one pistol stuck in its eye. The Death Stalker walked backwards and rapped its tail around one of the columns behind him.

When Scythle looked towards her opponent, she saw the creature swing its tail throwing the pillar at her. Scythle fired off a shot from her Scythleg and threw herself onto and then off of the pillar, pulling out the remains of her staff and engaging the tasers. The Death Stalker swung its tail again and whipped Scythle away, causing her to drop one of her baton-staff-peices.

Staggering to her feet, Scythle could feel how low her Aura had gotten. This thing hit like a truck, and she doubted she could take many more hits. Seeing the creature move towards her, Scythle fired off a shot from her Scythleg and threw herself on top of one of the pillars. She then pulled out her pistol again and began unloading everything she had left into the scorpion.

It barely seemed to phase it as it swung at the pillar she was standing on. As it collapsed, Scythle jumped over the Death Stalker and began firing at the back of its tail. She attempted to unfold the blades of her Scythleg, before remembering that they were broken off.

Landing on her back, Scythle quickly spun back onto her feet and fired off the remaining shots of her Scythleg into its tail, hoping to cut it off with gunfire if she couldn't with blades. The scorpion threw the rubble of the tower off itself and turned around to face Scythle again. Scythle blured away from it using her speed semblance and grabbed the other half of her staff, and began to reload her Scythleg.

As the creature began to charge at her, Scythle did the same and slid under its next strike before firing herself up to the creature's head. She then stabbed the Death Stalkers eyes with her taser staff and fired off a shot from her Scythleg into its head.

The creature stuttered backwards and screamed in pain. Scythle then closed the distance between herself and the Death Stalker and grabbed onto her knife-pistol and fired another shot into the creatures head, blasting her off with the knife while putting a large hole in its head. Scythle then zipped back to the Death Stalker and began fireing both pistols into the hole she had created.

The creature released another roar as it stumbled backwards to its side and began to lose balance. With a loud THUD! the creature fell to the ground as the light in its mask began to fade. Scythle desperately tried to catch her breath after all that and wiped the sweat from her brow. "Getting Quite The Workout Today." Scythle muttered to herself as she walked over to the corpse of the Death Stalker. She ejected the empty clips in her pistols and began reloading them.

Much to her annoyance, she found she only had one clip left. She let out a scoff upon realizing this. Hopefully bullets would be easier to get now that she was a student at Beacon. Putting her guns away, she grabbed onto the staffs sticking out of the Death Stalker's eyes and began yanking on them. With a quick pop, Scythle was stumbling backwards and lost her balance. She then looked at her two batons and began reading the power display.

Much more to her annoyance, none of the lights were on.

"Are You Kidding Me!" Scythle yelled as she looked at the now powerless tasers. Putting the glorified sticks away, she turned her attention back to the monster's corpse. "This Is All Your Fault, You Stupid-"

Scythle swung her foot at the Death Stalker's corpse and found that the bone plating that had protected it from several attacks and allowed it to shrug off bullets hadn't become any softer. Scythle began hopping away from the remains on her Scythleg, clenching her real foot in both her hands. "Ow. Ow. Ow."

"So... Hungry..." Scythle mumbled as she stuttered through the Emerald Forest, supporting herself using a comically oversized tree branch she found lying around. She peered up through the leaves to look at the sun. If only she learned how to read the damn thing, she might know how long she was out there. Though she had what she though was a pretty good guess.

Days.

She wasn't exactly sure how days could pass in the Emerald Forest without the sun going down, but she's heard weirder things happen. She began to scan her surroundings, hoping to find a cricket or beetle or, hell, a tasty piece of tree bark would do to sooth her hunger.

Much to her amazement, however, her salvation came in a more appetizing form. As a cloud moved out of place over head, the sun shined down from the heavens and, as if to guide the young girl, showed her a bush full of bright red berries. Scythle stared at the succulent grapes hanging off the small branches, a soft thud cluing her into the fact that she had just released her grip on the branch.

Ignoring all form of fatigue she was suffering, Scythle rushed over to the bush and began greedily ripping off berries and shoveling them into her mouth. They tasted horribly bitter and there were several thorns along the shrub, but she didn't care. It was food and she needed it.

She began to climb over the shrub to get to the nourishment that was no doubt on the other side and, spotting the red berries, began shoving them down her throat.

She was so preoccupied with this that she almost missed the Boarbatusk sitting in front of her.

The creature let out a sequel to gain the girl's attention, and much to its amazement, it received it. Scythle stopped shoveling her salvation into her mouth and looked eyes with the creature. The two stared at each other for a minute, with Scythle occasionally gazing down at the berries in her hand.

The purple girl swallowed the mouth full of berries she had and presented her hand to the creature. "Ya Want Some?" Scythle said as she brought her other hand back and pulled out her pistol, preparing to shoot the creature.

It then lunged at Scythle, throwing her a few feet away from the bush. The Boarbatusk landed on its feet and began charging its role out. By the time Scythle shrugged off the last attack, the Boarbatusk launched itself at her, knocking her a considerable distance back.

Coming out of the tree line, Scythle landed on her back with a loud thud as the Boarbatusk continued in its charge, sailing over her. As Scythle look on, she saw something she didn't expect that filled her with glee.

The Boarbatusk had just knocked in in-front of the ruins.

And the Black Knight piece was sitting in the center of it.

"I Found It!" Scythle yelled, jumping to her feet and running towards the glorified nick-knack before the Boarbatusk jumped in the way of her, snarling at her. "Okay, Okay. You Found It."

The Boarbatusk charged at Scythle, who in turn whacked it in the snout with her Scythleg, throwing the creature back and dazing it. "Couldn't Have Done It Without Ya." Scythle then blurred past the creature and made a b-line for the chess piece.

The boar began charging up its roll out again as Scythle picked up the piece and stared longenly at it. "It's Mine, It's Mine! At Long Last It-!" Scythle's monologue was cut short by the boar tackling her, slamming her through the fake bricks that made up the ruins. As the beast rolled to a stop, Scythle picked herself up, staring daggers at her attacker.

"Dude, You Ruined The Moment!" Scythle yelled before clenching the hand that once held the Knight piece. Looking into her palm she found it empty. She began scanning the area before the Boarbatusk's squeal drew her attention back to the creature.

Stuck in the ridges of its armor was the piece Scythle was seeking.

"Oh." Scythle said before chuckling. "Okay, Okay; I Get It Now. You Want The Knight Too." Scythle then jumped over the beast, letting it charge into one of the bricks left lying around. "Now You See, Here's The Thing;" Scythle began firing her pistol at the boar without turning her attention towards it. "I Kinda Need That To Avoid The Electric Chair," As the Boarbatusk ran at her, Scythle began side stepping all its strikes. "So You're Grandpa's Just Gonna Have Ta Switch Ta Checkers." With a quick swipe, Scythle snatched the chess piece out of the boar's armor and threw her pistol into knife mode, stabbing into the ridges.

As the creature squealed in pain, Scythle pulled out the knife and jumped away from it. It glared at Scythle before beginning to charge up its roll out. Scythle pulled out her other pistol and began firing at the creature, half the bullets ricocheted off its armor before it launcher at her. Scythle blurred to the side and let the creature fly past her.

Over her shoulder, she heard a loud crack. Peering in its direction, Scythle saw a tree beginning to give way and fall towards her. Scythle jumped out of the way of the tree and just barely missed getting her legs crushed. Rolling onto her back, Scythle looked at the situation she was almost in and let out a relieved sigh. "Do Not Need To Lose Another Foot."

Pulling herself to her feet and brushing herself off, she looked in the direction of the Boarbatusk and found the hog pinned under the tree trunk. Scythle walked over to the creature, pistol still in hand. "Aw, Are You Stuck?" Scythle asked, to which she was replied with a series of squeals. Scythle clicked her tongue as she shock her head. "I Just Hate To See A Poor Creature Suffer."

She then stuck her pistol into the boar's mouth and fired off the remainder of the clip into it. The life quickly faded from its eyes as its mask went dark.

"Wow, Why Can't They All Be That Easy?" Scythle said to herself before looking to the Knight again. Finally, she could get out of this crazy forest that wants to kill you. Scythle pocketed the chess piece and turned to begin her treck back to Beacon. If the ruins were north of the launch pads, then she just needed to head south of the ruins to get home.

She then stopped dead in her tracks as she looked up at the sky, pocking at her chin. "Which Way's South?"

"I Should..." Scythle grumbled as she stuck her knife into the cliff side as she worked her way up. "Really Work..." With another set of panting, Scythle pulled herself up higher, sticking her other knife into the stone wall in-front of her. "On My..." Another jab, another few feet higher. "Rock Climbing Skills..."

With another jab over her head, Scythle heard the sound of grass crunching beneath her fist. She continued to pull herself up and peered over the cliff-side, this time up from the drop-off, and saw several metal platforms spanning the area. Scythle pulled herself up over the edge and laid down, trying to catch her breath. peering back towards the platforms, she confirmed that those were in fact the launch pads that put her in that whole mess to begin with.

The girl in purple got up to her feet and began rubbing the dirt off her now filthy clothes. She hadn't realized how much dirt she had gotten on these things, or how sweaty she was. After cleaning herself off as best she could, Scythle looked up at the sky and put her fists above her head. "I'M ALIVE! I'M ALIVE!"

After a few seconds, she noticed a lack of jabs at her expense.

Looking around the area again, Scythle realized that neither Ozpin nor Glynda where there, as well as the fact that the sun was about to set upon the horizon. Letting out a sigh, Scythle began walking back towards the school. "I'm So Sick Of Walking."

Glynda sat in her office, staring out her window attempting to unwind after the day she had. She had thought that with Scythle running around in the Emerald Forest destroying everything, she would have a chance to relax. But no, she still had to put up with Nora's destructive tendencies and Yang's onslaught of terrible puns. Taking another sip of her tea, she turned her attention back to the crossword puzzle in front of her.

A seven letter word for someone who is annoying.

"Hey, Glynda!"

Scythle.

Looking up at her office entrance, her usual scowl on her face, she saw the newest bane of her existence walking towards her, clothes tattered and covered in dirt, and a black chess piece in hand. "Please tell me you at least wiped your feet before entering?"

"Why Would I Do That?" Scythle asked, causing Glynda to scoff. "Didn't Wait Foe Me, Eh?"

"Nothing personal, Ozpin and I had work to do and had run out of scenarios for Million Dollars But." Glynda stated before putting out her hand.

"I Almost Died Out There Like Four Times!" Scythle said, placing the chess piece in Glynda's hand.

"And we would have lost nothing."

"Yeah, Whatever, There's Your Stinking Chess Piece." Scythle said, turning to leave.

"You were supposed to retrieve the black Knight Piece, this is a Bishop."

Scythle almost lost her balance and she stumbled around to face Glynda, distress written all over her face. "WHAT!?"

"Neh, just messing with you." Glynda said with a slight chuckle. "After the day I had, I needed that."

Scythle snarled at the blond woman. "Whatever, So When's The Welcoming Party Thing Or Whatever."

"The Acceptance Ceremony was last month, Scythle." Glynda said, grabbing a rag to polish the dirt off her chess piece. "You didn't apply like a normal student and you're late."

Scythle stared at Glynda, a twitch beneath her eye as her face tightened into one of anger. "So I Did All Of That For Nothing!?"

"Oh, not nothing;" Glynda said, setting the knight down. "You just completely initiation, and now you shall be recognized as one of Beacon Academy's many students. Welcome, Ms. Rose."

Scythle grit her teeth at the blond woman in front of her. She had her weapons totaled, her entire day wasted, her best stockings ruined-

"I do supposed you deserve credit where it's due;" Glynda said as she lifted her crossword puzzle. "Congratulations on having the longest initiation test in the history of Beacon Academy."

After a quick Bang! the pen was knocked out of Glynda's hand. When the woman glanced over at the girl in purple, she saw her already exiting her office, most likely grumbling about the day she had. Glynda let out a small chuckle before grabbing another pen and continuing with her crossword.

Maybe having Scythle here would be fun after all.

Holly shit, I actually did it! I got this chapter out in a timely fashion like I said I would!

For those of you who don't follow my other story, The First Kampfer, I said at the end of it that I planned to write at least one new chapter each month for my New Year's Resolution. This did terrible as it took me six month to get that chapter out. I promise I'll improve upon this and try to get 2 new chapters out each month to make up for the time I wasted.

If any of you are wondering why I decided to bring back the Death Stalker from RWBY's initiation, when I was reading The Red Queen by Dravyn LeCrux, I remember reading a review explaining how the Death Stalker could have theoretically survived, pointing to the amount of time a scorpion can go without oxygen, immunity to their own venom, and their brain location, among other things that have since become pointless due to the Grimm World of Remnant.

With all that said, I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter. I should be able to get a new chapter of HRWBYSHE out by the end of the month. See you there.
