Lina wasted no time increasing her grip on Danny's upper arm and then quickly fly outside of the room. "Sorry!" the male halfa shouted as he was dragged out of the room and then the duo quickly closed the door behind them.

Both panting, their chests going up and down as they leaned against the door. If they had beating hearts in that form, they would beat at a very high rate. As both tried to calm down, they failed to notice that the door had started to drift downward.

"Oh, man. Every one of these doors goes into another ghost's lair?! I'm never gonna find that present. My folks are gonna get divorced and it's gonna be all my fault."

Lina looked at him. "Hey, hey Danny. Calm down" he looked at her. "We will find this present, help your parents and everything will be back to normal"

Danny keeps looking at her, slowly calming down. He was thankful he had Angel with him, to support him. Everything was overwhelming but she seemed to be able to handle it just fine. A part of him was jealous and he wished he could be like her.

Instead, his mind was a big mess. Yet, he took a moment to appreciate she was with him. She didn't have to come but she did either way, and she would not let him down. For that, he mentally promised himself to not let her down either.

They were in this together.

Snapping from his thoughts, he was the first to notice the door descending with them on it. He jumped off before reaching the ground, still holding Lina's hand. They were levitating slightly above a dark and ominous forest, filled with tombstones. Danny gasped quietly and Lina gawked, eyes wide open.

While Sam loved the scary movie and they had watched together a lot of them, Lina still did not like them. Despite everything she had faced so far, she still found them creepy. One of those things, was anything related to tombstones and graveyards. It simply gave her the bad chills whenever she even thought about them.

Suddenly, the tombstones closer to them started to rattle as some wailing was heard. Some glowing green skeletons popped out of the dirt. They try to grab the halfa who attempt to escape. Lina flew up and Danny back, their hands getting separated. The male Halfa tripped over the door behind him but managed to save himself and fly up quickly, joining his sister.

"Relax, Danny." Sam was heard in the earpiece. "We all just have to stay focused".

Lina swallowed a lump on her throat and looked around in alarm. "Now it is not the time Sam"

She was glad they had their friends with them, in a way. But seeing and facing it from close, were two very different things. On top of that, Sam loved such stuff so, of course, she would be the calmest in everything.

There was no reply and the two halfa exchanged a look before decided to continue forward. With nothing truly stable in that world, no clock on them and no sun or moon to guide them; they were unaware how long they were inside, let alone float.

At last, the commination link came to life and their surprise; Its tucker. Apparently, the tech genius was messing around in the Speeder and found out that there was a scanner, for real-world items. As super convenient as that sounded to Lina, she did not comment and let her friends guide her.

At last, there seem to be some progress and hope was returning to Danny's mind, along with his confidence. "There is a doorway coming up on your left. Take it." Sam informed them.

Without a second though, the two halfa fly through the door which opened up on its own. This time, having learnt from last time, they surveyed the room. It was a simple room, with no walls or floors. Instead, all around them were different objects, just floating mid-air.

That included a box, a toaster, briefcase, corded phone on hook, pencil, thermos, envelope, teddy bear, a bottle, a shirt, a single sock, another thermos, a basketball, a book, a suitcase, another envelope, lunchbox, another box, football, trumpet, a watch, a pen, a glass of liquid, a TV, another watch, another glass, another basketball, a washing machine, a lamp, a bottle of sports drink, and another box.

"Well, I will be damned" Lina commented as they flew deeper into the room. "You think we can get any of those stuff back with us?" Her answer came by just seeing Danny holding a laptop, a thermos and an expensive watch.

She giggled silently and inspected the items, her eyes landing on a glass filled with liquid, the TV and the mysterious suitcase.

"So this is where all that stuff ends up," Danny commented.

Suddenly, they hear a familiar voice. "Yes!" the Box Ghost flew towards them, different objects following him. "It all ends up in the possession of THE BOX GHOST!"

Lina face palmed, not sure how to feel about this encounter. But either way, she was glad it was that minor ghost that they could easily handle; and not something worse.

"Ugh, what are you doing here?" Danny asked it.

"I am The Box Ghost! Where do you think we go *clenches pointing hand into fist* when you release us *moves arms to show a cylinder with his hands* from your round, cylindrical trap?"

"You mean the Fenton Thermos?"

"I think he meant what you are doing in this…room…? Specifically" the female halfa corrected, looking around but never truly taking her eyes off the ghost.

"I am the Box Ghost! And beware! For I am merely *face thrusts forward for emphasis* ONE of *face changes back* your foes who reside in this realm! In fact, you might say..we're a package deal!" he bent backwards and started to laugh at his own pun.

Lina shivered at the thought of all the ghosts they faced, actually being there. A part of her knew it, but she did not want to face them. Especially troublesome ones like Skulker and Technus to name a few. For a moment, she wondered if Plasmius would be found roaming in the ghost world but she truly had her doubts.

Yet again, that man was very very mysterious.

"Ugh. Look, I'm looking for something important. I don't have time for your box puns." The male halfa explained, his fist clenched.

Then, all of a sudden, sirens were heard. The two halfa look left and right, trying to pinpoint the source of the sound. It sounded like sirens of police or some military force, which made them uneasy.

To their surprise, even the Box Ghost showed fear. Pure fear that Lina did not have him for.

"Flee! Lest you be hermetically sealed and shipped to your doooom!"

Lasers could be heard blasting as the Box Ghost started to flee from the scene. Lina grabbed Danny's arm. "I think we should listen to him"

They barely flew slightly in one direction before they see a green laser hitting the Box Ghost, who had managed to avoid most of them by now. Immediately, he is restrained by a green force field, which then transformed from around the waist and arms to handcuffs.

"Hey, what's going on?" Danny questioned, fully ignorant.

"Danny, let's go!" Lina shouted and started to fly fast, pulling him from his hand. Shots could be heard as green lasers missed them.

However, one of them managed to hit Danny and he lost his grip on her hand. He grunted in pain, feeling the laser engulf him before he was in the same handcuffs as the Box Ghost.

"Angel?" he asked with worry as more shots were fired. In the distance, a familiar ghost appeared.

"Oh no" she exclaimed, recognizing the ver scary ghost dressed in white; the one that almost arrested them when they entered with the speeder by mistake.

Acting on instinct, she dived among the sea of lasers and grabbed Danny in a bride-style manner. She was not sure how to get the cuffs off but she would find a way, when they were safe.

"Escaping from authorities" the voice of the ghost was heard, and Lina swore he was right behind them.

"Angel watch out!" Danny shouted but it was too late.

Something hit them, with enough force to make them dizzy and startled. Lina lost her grip on Danny and both floated on their own, before Lina was hit by one green laser beam. She gritted her teeth in frustration and slight pain, feeling her body sore from the impact.

She looked down at her hands and saw the cuffs, green glowing cuffs that kept her restrained. Then, she sensed she had to look up and when she did; she gulped. The same ghost from before was floating right in front of her, a very intimidating and scary look in his eyes.

She realized that he must have been the one to hit her, with enough force to have such an effect. She lost her voice as the ghost grabbed the head pieces equipment both Danny and her wore.

"Escaping from authorities. That is against the rules. Possession of unauthorized recording equipment. That is against the rules" the ghost said, holding a green book open. "Or at least it is now"

"Wait! This is all a big misunderstanding!" Danny tried to reason but the ghost had none of them.

"There may be chaos everywhere in this Ghost Zone, but there'll be order in my prison," the ghost said, looming over the two halfa. "You should've heeded my warning, punks. "Now you and I have a problem."

"Who are you?" Lina asked, finally finding the courage to speak.

The ghost moved to her, bending to be closer to her face. Lina was afraid of things, like everyone else. She was brave enough to face and fight bullies and ghosts, but she was always scared; to some extend.

What that ghost though brought to her, was something entirely new. Not even Skulker had scared her that much, and that ghost had promised to make them a pelt for his room. Something was telling her, that this ghost was a whole new level of his own.

"The name is Walker. My word is law"

Without any other explanation, a van appeared with the GZPD imprinted on it. The three ghosts were pushed inside the van, taking a seat on the benches inside. There were ectoplasm stains on the floor and wall.

Danny and Lina sat next to each other from one side, the ghost box sat across from them. The doors closed and the van moved.

The male halfa bent forward, grabbing his head with his hands. "Great. My folks are splitting up, my sister's a basket case, and I'm going to ghost jail. This may be the worst day of my life."

Lina was also quiet, not saying anything this time. She looked at her handcuffs around her wrists, her mind deep in thoughts. She heard Danny loud and clear but what could she say to make him feel better?

What could she even do to get out of that situation? She was not sure. For the first time in her life, she was not sure of anything and she could not find a way to gain the control she wanted.

They were not sure for how long they were in the Van. Lina was constantly trying to free herself from the cuffs but her abilities were limited, almost none existent. Her strength did not help at all and proved futile.

She even wondered if she would be able to turn back to human form with those cuffs on. Before she could try, the van came to a sudden stop and the doors were opened. The three ghosts were led outside and they ended up staring at what was in front of them. A purple building which seem to have human elements in his design, loomed and stood out against the endless green background of the zone.

A police ghost was floating in front holding a green pole in both hands, there was a crowd of prisoners behind him. In the centre was Skulker wearing a prisoners outfit, on the right was Desiree and to the left was Technus in his robot body. They were also wearing prisoner's attire.

"You had to jinx it Danny" Lina muttered as she was the first to recognize the ghosts in the crowd.

Hearing her voice, Skulker turned first. " Well, if it isn't the young whelps who helped us get locked up in this stinking place! Welcome home."

Danny started to panic mentally. "I take it back. "This is the worst day of my life."

As if things were not bad enough… "I am the Box Ghost!"

Danny turned to face the said ghost, getting irritated. He closed his eyes and yelled. "Will you stop that!"

Lina moved in front of Danny, eyes glowing red. Danny was curious for a moment but then noticed, Skulker was cracking his knuckles. In that moment, he truly grew worried and not just because he would be in prison.

No, he would be in prison with everyone that hated them and the worst part…Lina was with him. Which meant she would try and defend him, and he would defend her. They did good enough when they were against only one ghost, but what about all of them together? And in special cuffs?

Slowly, he started to become desperate again and lost whatever little hope he had tried to hold on. He was filled with fear, of what would come next and a big part of him; wished it was all a dream. A very bad dream that he would wake up from.

Back in the Lab, Tucker and Sam were inside the speeder. The Tech genius was trying to contact Danny and Lina again but there was no use. All they saw and heard, was sirens and laser beams…then nothing.

It worried them crazy.

"Danny! Lina! Talk to me!" he tried his PDA again but there was no response. Sam rushed and quickly took a seat next to him, into the cockpit of the speeder.

"It's no use. He can't hear us."

"Then we'll just have to go in after him!" Tucker said with determination, putting his PDA down.

Sam looked at him as if he had a second head. "What are you, nuts?"

Suddenly, they heard Jazz's voice. "Danny! Are you down there?" the two teens got into their seats and crouched on their knees, facing the back and listening to Jazz who popped her head from the stairs, holding a book open. "Sam! Hello? Anyone? I was hoping someone would go over every excruciating detail of my personal diaries to look for minuscule errors

There was no reply and Jazz retreated it. Once they were sure that the place was safe, Sam put her seat belt on before facing Tucker who had his hands on the controls.

"You drive." Without questioning anything, Tucker pushes the controls and immediately the speeder comes to life.

After the small reunions with their 'good old pals', the two halfas were led into the building. Their clothes had been changed to that of a prison attire and they were currently forced on chairs, shackles around their hands.

In front of them was an office and Walker was busy reading what laws they broke from a book, all while walking around them.

"Trespassing. Loitering. Creating a disturbance. Attempts of escaping capture and, possession of real-world contraband"

Lina was glaring at the ghost through some of her black bangs that had escaped after their adventure. Then, she noticed something floating above their heads. She glanced at Danny and then looked up, the other halfa following her gaze.

Once they spotted the present, they tried to grab it but it was out of their reach, and those shackles prevented them from reaching too far out. In the end, Danny decided to try the discussion part one more time.

"Excuse me, sir, but-but-"

He was interrupted by the ghost warden grabbing both of them by their shirt. He lifted them high enough, that their skin could be seen. "Name's Walker, son. Know it. Fear it. Obey it. I am your judge, executioner, jury, executioner, jailer, and, if necessary, your executioner."

He slowly let them down but not fully, just lowered them sightly. He had said each word with the deadliest and most serious tone any of the halfa had ever see. Did it spread panic within them, it did.

However, Danny, being himself, once again tried his luck. Lina on the other hand stayed quiet, never breaking eye contact with Walker. She knew they were in big trouble and they had to be careful.

"Uh, you said "executioner" three times." The male halfa said, making Lina to glance at him.

Walker let them fall down, back no the chairs with enough force to almost make them lose their balance. "I like that part of the job."

He proceeded to read the book, not paying attention or realizing that the present was floating in the room. Danny then had an idea and started to execute it, while Lina mouthed silently for him to stop, but he did not listen.

"Well, you see, uh, Mr Walker, uh, the truth is…I'm trying the contraband. So, um, if I could just… grab it and go" he said, chuckling nervously. All this time he had grabbed his chair and moved towards the floating present. "I'll promise I'll—"

He was so close in grabbing it, but Walker saw him. In seconds, he had moved close to Danny's seat and used his leg to push it down. It made the chair to fall to the floor as the warden set his hand on it.

"I'd like to let you go, son" Walker started, crouching down to Danny. At the same time, Lina was fighting hard with the shackles. "but I can't. That'd be against the rules" he stood up and looked at Lina, who glared at him with red eyes. He was unaffected and simply grabbed his book. "But seeing how this is a first offense I'm willing to be lenient" he closed the book and pointed at Danny. "1,000 years! 2,000 years for you *points at Lina*"

"Hey! That's unfair" Danny shouted as Lina stared at him with her jaw drop.

"You do not question me or the rules. Be grateful I am that linear with you" Walker replied simply, towering over Danny once again.

"You have given me no reasoning for being grateful. You are a big bully who wants to play god. Face me if you dare" Lina said, pulling hard on her restraints.

She was not sure what had gotten into her. Perhaps it was all the tension from the day, perhaps it was seeing Danny harmed or maybe Walker who bullied everyone around and was the type of character she hated the most.

"Seems, have disagreements" he snapped his fingers and the shackled disappeared disappeared. "Then, you will see proof"

There was a smug look on his face, Lina could see this and did she hate it. The way he played god, how he controlled everything. She did not like that…no, she hated it. No one would be in control of her or would harm her friend.

Out of nowhere, Walker attacked her. This time, she was prepared and managed to dodge him by inches. She had practiced a lot after meeting Plasmius, and she was better than before. But not good enough before a police guard, that had stayed inside, joined and hitter her with his green rod.

Electricity hit her and made her drop her guard for a moment, giving an opening for Walker to deliver a strong kick. She fell to the ground, her back sore from the impact. Suddenly, a black boot was pressed against her chest, making her look up with wide eyes.

Walker was towering over her, his boot keeping her down. Her hands tried to push him off but he was more powerful than her.

"Hey! That's cheating!" Danny shouted and tried to do something but he was still in shackles.

"My prison, my rules" Walker said and grabbed the poll from the ghost police man before zapping her.

At first, she tried her best to contain any sound but the electric current overpowered her. Hearing her shouts of pain, Danny fought against his own restraints.

"Stop it! We got the point!" Walker stopped and looked at Danny before glancing down at Lina. "Just stop. Please"

"Learn your lesson punks. Whoever breaks the rule, the other pays for it" With those words, he pulled his leg off Angel and walked back to his desk.

The Police ghost from before grabbed a sore Lina and dropped her back on the chair. Her muscles twitched slightly and she kept her head down, but was glaring at the Warden. Danny looked at her with worry/

Walker though, kept the smug smirk. For this technique was always one of his favourites. The simple, divide and conquer.

Most ghosts he got, were working alone, making it hard to discipline and having to use extreme measurements. However, when there were two ghosts together….the game changed all along. Two ghosts that cared for one another, were the easiest to disciple. Once they realized that the actions of one could harm the other, they would not act impulsively, in fear of having the other getting hurt.

They were a given a cell to reside in, and thankfully, the two halfa stayed together. However, no one truly talked after their experience. Danny was worried of his adopted sister but she seemed fine, yet she did not utter a word.

"Are you sure you are okay Angel?" he asked out of worry, repeating his question once again.

"For the 10th time Danny, I am fine" she replied, glaring at her hands.

She was fine. Slightly shocked, both literally and figuratively, she was good enough. Her body was sore but it was nothing she could not handle. Her mind replayed what Walker had told them, about how the actions of one would end up harming the other.

It stayed in her mind but she also refused to stay and rot in that prison. No, she would find a way to get both of them free and find that damn gift. The door to their cell was suddenly opened and a Police Ghost was standing there.

"Chow time!"

The two Halfa glanced at each other. They were not sure how much time had passed and for what exactly was that food, lunch or dinner. As they were escorted and better say, pushed, out of their cells; they were lead towards the cafeteria. It was then, they realized, that their worst fear would come true.

A place with no bars or protection, no true supervision and inability to use their powers to the maximum. A place like that, hosting ghosts that wanted them dead and had a vendetta against them.
