The Furious Wolf

Disclaimer: I do not own Halo or Fast and Furious franchise in any way, shape, or form, they belong to their respective owners.

Hereticsmurf: Is he more human? I thought that the previous Six was more human compared to this version who has grown more brutal and angrier following the deaths of Noble Team.

Flash: That's a pretty good idea about the Plasma fusion reactor powering Six and Dot's underground facility. I may just have to use it.

Jestalnaker94000: Glad you liked it and thanks. It really means a lot.

Kiran Punnoose: I didn't want to spoil it, but I am planning on having Six create a few of the Cyberpunk 2077 vehicles in this story. Also, this time Six won't be driving the Warthog to the race like in the previous version. And yeah, my nan was an amazing woman before the dementia took effect. As cold as it sounds it was probably that why I was only sad rather than heartbroken when she died.

Hunter 139: You've got a point but his reasonings this time somewhat selfish. Sure, the UNSC/Humanity win the war, but that doesn't mean that he's happy now does it. He has the chance to save his parents, the Spartan-III's, Kurt, Noble Team, and countless other humans in the process...if you had the chance wouldn't you do the same?

Chapter 3.

"There's a reason I'm King of the Streets." Dom smirked confidently doing his best not to be unnerved by Vince's blood that covered his white shirt and stained his knuckles; as well as the blood that was smeared across his face. "I've never lost a race and I don't plan to anytime soon...so, what do you say?"

"No." Jericho declined surprising both Dom and Letty.

"No? What do you mean no?"

"It's an antonym of yes." Jericho informed the King of the Streets who gave him a dull glare, meanwhile Letty looked amused as she stared at the two men who could be described as polar opposites. The man had an abundance of hair, Dom did not. Dom was tanned, the man was extremely pale to the extent she wondered if he was sick...if he was his disease had done little to sap his strength judging by how effortlessly he had manged to take down Vince.

"I know what it means."

"And yet you asked." Jericho said coolly as as he stared down at Dom. "If that's everything." He asked rhetorically before he turned round and began walking over to his Challenger as he essentially brought the conversation to a close...or so he thought.

"You can't just walk away, Gigantor." Letty declared as she and Dom followed the muscular man that was retreating back to his pristine Dodge Challenger. "We just challenged you to a race."

"Which I declined." Jericho shot back as he reached into his coat pocket and dug out a set of keys.

"Afraid of getting your ass handed to you?" Dom provoked hoping to get a reaction out of him, anything that would convince him to race him in a few hours and when he won, he would get to add another muscle car to his collection; it seemed a match made in heaven to have both a Charger and a Challenger.

"Or maybe he's just a boy scout that's incapable of breaking a single rule?"

"I guess so, Ma'am." The man responded making Letty purse her lips; she guessed it would take a lot more to get under his skin.

"Are you really just walking away?" Dom questioned incredulously. No-one just walked away from him, especially not when he issued a challenge which was extremely rare.

"I believe so." The man replied calmly.

"Oh, c'mon man!" the Latina cried out getting annoyed that he wasn't taking the bait, and the fact he seemed to regard them as a nuisance more than anything. "You don't have a car like that and not race it. it's like buying a dog and barking yourself."

"She right,"

"Obviously." Letty snorted at him which he promptly ignored.

"She was made for racing...unless you're scared to lose her? Dom taunted hoping to get a reaction out of the man who he noted was not the talkative type, and it had nothing to do with the fact that he was trying to make a quick getaway after he had knocked Vince senseless; while he knew that Vince had it coming, at the end of the day he was still his brother...and no one hurt his family.

Granted he had no desire to pick a fight with him. Even before he had seen him manhandle Vince, just looking at him he got the impression that he could've ripped him in half without breaking a sweat...and despite what other people might have thought about him, mostly because of his life choices, he didn't have a Deathwish. No, he would have to hurt him in other ways.

Assuming of course he took the bait.

"I wouldn't lose." Jericho replied confidently as he suddenly stopped making Dom smirk as he turned around to look at them both.

"Then why don't you put your money where your mouth is?" Dom challenged once again. "Or are you all talk and no action?" he added throwing down the gauntlet.

"I get nothing from this race." Jericho stated calmly as he looked down at them both, the same emotionless expression plastered across his scarred features.

"Didn't you hear a word I said before?" Dom asked him. "I told you if you win you get my car."

"I have a car." Jericho informed him coolly. "Why would I need another?"

"Getting a little ahead of yourself, Gigantor." Letty smirked as she crossed her arms under her chest, unconsciously pushing them up. "You haven't beaten him yet." She informed him with a pointed look for the sheer fact that he had never lost a race. Many had challenged him, herself included, and they had all been left in his taillights; only one had ever come to besting Dom... but it had been years since anyone had seen him in L.A.

"The winner also gets ten grand." Dom pressed on. Perhaps the prospect of earning a quick ten grand would appeal to him; granted he wouldn't see a cent of that money but maybe it was enough to incise him.

"I don't need money."

"Jesus Christ, man. You're not making this easy, are you?" Letty complained feeling a headache coming on from going back and forth with him; he really gave argumentative a whole new meaning. "What the hell do you want then?"

"To be left alone."

"Fine, how about this." Dom interjected before Letty could say anything else. "You race me tonight and win or lose we won't bother you again." When Jericho went to retort, Dom continued. "And I'll give you my work that Vince won't either...and if he tries, he'll have to answer to me. Deal?"

Both Dom and Letty waited in anticipation as Jericho seemed to mull it over, or maybe he was simply staring at them thinking that they were idiots? He was a hard man to read and good at masking his emotions; truth be told he hadn't expressed a single emotion other than annoyance and that was mostly directed at Vince who had attacked him when his back had been turned.

"Fine." Jericho relented with a sigh, whether it was just so they would leave him alone or they had worn him down was unclear, regardless he had finally agreed. "When and where?" He asked in a no-nonsense tone, which they both suspected was his everyday tone judging from how he had addressed everyone.

"Babe, go get me a pen and paper." Dom asked turning to his girlfriend getting a snort of offense from the dark-haired Latina.

"What do you think I am, your skivvy?" She scoffed at the very idea. "You want damn pen go get it yourself." She told him making him sigh in frustration.

"Please." Dom pleaded with her looking into her eyes. He had finally managed to convince Jericho to race him in a few hours after he had been dead set against it, the last thing he wanted was for him to hightail it out of there simply because she wouldn't grab a pen and paper for him.

"Urgh, fine." Letty growled and grumbled something underneath her breath that he couldn't quite make out, though knowing her he doubted it was anything P.G. "Might as well start wearing a damn piny if I'm gonna be your servant." She grumbled as she walked across the road and back to the café missing Dom rolling his eyes at his girlfriend's grouching. You'd think he'd gone and asked her to make him a sandwich or something.

As Dom waited for Letty to get back, which he prayed would be soon, the two of them said nothing to one another and opted to remain in silence. As they waited, he got a decent look at the man. If he had to guess he looked around the same age as him, around twenty-six, though that was where their similarities ended. With a glance he could tell straight away that the man was a soldier, the scars were a dead giveaway as was the way that he carried himself.

If Vince had been thinking straight, which he seldom ever did when it came to other men speaking to Mia, he would have seen that too...instead Vince had been knocked in two hits, which was rather impressive, and from what he had seen Jericho hadn't even been trying if the bored and cold-blooded look on his face was any indication; he'd be lying if he said he wasn't a little intimidated...more so because Vince's blood covered his white shirt making it look like he had murdered him.

Thankfully before his imagination could run rampart, he heard footsteps behind him. Glancing over his shoulder, he saw a deep scowl on his girlfriend's face as she walked back over to them. Once she had reached them, she slapped the pen and notepad into his chest roughly. Yeah, she was pissed alright.

"Here." Letty grumbled at him. "Don't say I never get you nothing."

Doing his best to ignore his griping girlfriend, Dom clicked the pen and scribbled the location of the street race onto the notepad before tearing the paper and handed it to Jericho who had been waiting patiently for Letty to get back instead of simply jumping into his car and leaving; granted he would have stopped him from leaving but that was beside the point.

"Meet me here tonight at ten o'clock tonight." Dom told him as he handed him the slip of paper which he looked over before placing it inside his coat. "Don't be late."

"Hmmm." Jericho hummed neither confirming or denying if he would be coming to the race as he opened his car and without a word climbed inside and close the door. The engine started up to life like it had just come off the production line rather than being a machine that was over thirty years old; they guessed that just like the exterior the interior was in pristine condition as well.

"That's one sweet-ass ride, man." Letty commented as she listened to the engine that was like music to her ears as she watched the Challenger pulled away leaving her and Dom standing on the street. "Only a few more hours and she's mine."

"Yours?" Dom asked amused as he looked at her. "When I beat him the Challengers mine, babe." he smirked at her as she looked over her sunglasses at him. "You know the rules of the road."

"You've already got one."

"No, I haven't." Dom stated firmly knowing exactly what she was referring too. "It..."

"Yeah, the Charger was your dads but now it's yours." Letty insisted knowing that he refused to take it out the garage after it had been restored following the crash that had killed his father years ago. "And there is no way in hell am I letting that baby slip through my fingers."

"If you want it, you'll have to race me for it." Dom grinned at his girlfriend.

"Fine by me." Letty shrugged crossing her arms across her chest. "But try not to be too mad when you see me pulling away in my brand-new Dodge Challenger." She added even after she had acknowledged earlier that no one had ever beaten Dom in a race. She would just have to think of other ways to persuade him to letting her keep the Challenger when he beat Gigantor.

"You're pretty cute when you flirt, babe." Dom teased his girlfriend and smirked at the glare he received from the irritated Latina. "But if you asked nicely, I might let you drive my Dodge Challenger." He continued to say before he started walking away and back to the café to see how Vince was, unaware of Letty boring holes into the back of his skull as she followed him.

"How's he doing?" Dom asked his sister as he walked into the store to see her Mia standing over Vince and dabbing his face with a wet tea towel, a look of concern across hers as she cleaned the blood off his face.

"He's still breathing." Mia answered as she wiped the blood from Vince's face as he laid flat on his back on the counter. "But the good news is that it doesn't look like anything is broken." She added as placed the cloth into the bowl of water that was sitting next to him. "At least not from what I can see...we'll know more when he wakes up." She stated further and sighed when she noticed his face already beginning to bruise from the blunt force trauma.

"He's definitely gonna be feeling it once he wakes up." Mia told them before looking over her shoulder and looking at where Leon and Jesse were standing. "Jesse, grab some ice and wrap it in a tea towel, please."

"Sure thing." Jesse, the one considered the baby of their little family, complied without question as he grabbed a tea towel from the draw before walking over to the freezer to grab some ice and place it into the cloth and walked back over to where Mia was standing. "Here."

"Thanks." Mia said as she took the ice and placed it on the bruise that was starting to form. "Of all the people he could have fought..." She complained shaking her head at the idiot that was currently laying on the counter.

"Fought?" Leon snorted over at the side as he chewed on his toothpick. "That's being generous. Vince was massacred. " He voiced sounded bitter something that made Letty smirk.

"Is someone regretting betting against Gigantor?" Letty taunted earning a scowl from Leon, a sigh from Dom, and making Mia shake her head.

"No." He grouched making Letty tut at him.

"Now, now, Leon." Letty chastised wagging her finger at him. "We're all friends here. There's no need to lie." She told him with a smug smirk. "Said you should've bet on the big guy."

"What happened to Jericho?" Mia asked, interrupting whatever Leon might have retorted...though that didn't stop him from sticking his middle finger up.

"He left." Dom answered as he came over to examine Vince for himself and held back a wince as he looked at the damage that Jericho had done with just a single punch; now he was really glad that he hadn't started a fight with him after seeing him knock out Vince.

"You didn't..."

"You think we'd be standing here if we did?" Letty asked rhetorically knowing exactly what she was going to ask. "I can't speak for Dom, but I'm not stupid enough to try and fight him. I'm a thrill seeker...not suicidal."

"Something we can't say for that crazy bastard." Leon commented nodding his head at the unconscious Vince.

"That's Vince for you." Jesse muttered as he too looked down at Vince. "Shoot first, ask questions later."

"Yeah, well this time he bit off more than he could chew." Letty finished before smirking at Mia. "But your boyfriend is fine."

"Boyfriend?" Mia both looked and sounded amused as she looked at her childhood friend. "I work quick. I've only known him for about five minutes; and that's not an exaggeration."

"And yet that didn't stop you from going "Maybe I'll see you again tomorrow." while batting your eyelashes at him." Letty poked fun at Mia, doing a pretty convincing impression, making her cheeks heat up while the others either laughed or snickered at the blushing waitress/future doctor.

"I didn't bat my eyelashes at him." Mia insisted making Letty snort.

"The hell you didn't..." Letty grunted at her. "Were you bending over the counter too or is that reserved solely for Spiller..."

"Spilner." Jesse corrected referring to the other customer that Vince had beef with; however, unlike Jericho, Dom had intervened in the fight and banned him from ever stepping foot in the store again, and warned him not to come around there again.

"So, are you going to tell me what happened with Jericho?" Mia pretended not to acknowledge what either Letty or Jesse had said as she turned to her brother who had his arms crossed over his chest and a serious look written across his features as he looked down at Vince. "It's not like you to just let people walk away."

"I doubt that Dom could've stopped him even if he wanted too." Leon commented making everyone look at him. "What?! You all saw the size of him and are we forgetting that we watched as Vince kept punching him and he didn't even budge. Hell, it was like he didn't even register the hits."

"He's got a point." Jesse agreed with his best friend. "No offence, Dom." He quickly apologised to the leader of their little family.

"None taken."

"Makes you wonder what they feed him." Leon remarked curiously as he crossed his arms in deep thought.

"Probably just eats a shit load of roids every morning."

"It might not be steroids." Mia enunciated. "Maybe he just works out a lot." She said to the others.

"Or maybe he's a super soldier?" Jesse suggested making the others look at him oddly. "He had to get those scars from somewhere, right? Well maybe he's some sort of super solder created by the government to..."

"I think you've been reading too many of those comics of yours, man." Letty chuckled at the weird shit that Jesse was able to make up on the spot.

"You never did say what happened between you and Jericho." Mia said to her brother quickly changing the subject so that Jesse wouldn't become embarrassed.

"Nothing happened between us." Dom told her as he tore his eyes away from Vince to look at his sister. "We did come to an agreement though."

"Yeah, after we finally managed to get something out of the big guy." Letty remarked leaning on the counter. "I swear it was like talking to a fucking machine."

"At least it wasn't just me then." Mia muttered remembering how hard it had been to get anything out of the attractive man. It had taken her a while to get a name from Jericho, let alone learning that he was new to the city. She guessed that he was a very private person, either that or he had little to no social skills...or maybe he just didn't like people all that much. "And what agreement?"

"I'm racing him tonight." Dom told her making Mia roll her eyes.

"Of course you are." Mia shook her head wondering why she had expected anything less from her racing fanatic brother. "And he agreed?"

"After some convincing."

"That's an understatement." Letty snorted remembering how hard for her and Dom to persuade Jericho to race against the latter in a few hours.

"And made a little wager." Dom continued as he informed everyone, even if he was mainly talking to his sister. "If he wins all is forgiven. He's allowed to keep coming around here as much as he likes. He gets my car...and we leave him alone like he asked." He told them and didn't miss the disappointed look that appeared on Mia's face when he she heard his final request.

"And when you win?" Leon asked.

"Pretty much the opposite." Dom answered his friend. "He stops coming around here..."

"Today was the first time he's ever been around here." Mia pointed out while deep down being disappointed that she would never get to see him again because of stupid Vince. It hadn't even been Jericho's fault. From the moment that Vince and the others arrived he had been looking for a fight, just like he had with Brian who had also been banned from coming around and tried to intimidate him before he had even spoken to him.

"And the last time." Leon voiced as he chewed on his toothpick. "Dom's undefeated and that won't be changing any time soon." He added with a smirk missing the disheartened look that Mia had knowing that he was right.

"And I get his Dodge Challenger of his to add to the collection." Dom finished, pretending that he hadn't been interrupted by either Leon or Mia. "And with a few modifications I'll have it running better than ever."

"If it needs anything done to it." Letty remarked from where she was standing. "That thing both looked and ran like it was brand-new. Whether it was Gigantor or whoever owned it before him certainly took care of her."

"Maybe so," Dom agreed with his girlfriend. "But a beauty like that deserves a man that knows how to treat her right."

"You know you're talking about a car, right?" Mia stated with a smile before looking over at Letty. "Sounds like you've got some competition."

"I'm not really bothered." Letty responded with a shrug. "Considering that the Challenger is going to be mine."

"Like I told you before, babe. If you want it then you'll have to race me for it." Dom said to his girlfriend with a grin. "And I'd rather not hurt your pride..."

"Funny, you took the words right outta my mouth."

"You know, as fun as it is seeing you two trying to flirt..."

"Go and suck on your toothpick!"

"Now, now." Leon tutted at the disgruntled Latina. "No need to get all defensive." he grinned at her. "But as I was going to say," Leon said going back to what he was previously saying. "don't you we should move Vince? Or are we just leaving him here until he wakes up?"

"No, me and you are going to move him into the back room." Dom told Leon before looking at Jesse. "I need you to do me a favour."

"Sure thing, Dom. What do you need?"

"I want you to run a profile on Jericho." Dom told him seriously, his previous cheerful mood gone as he stared at him. "Start with his plates and work from there. I want to know everything I can about this guy. His full name, birthdate, history, anything you can get on him."

"Got it." Jesse nodded before he walked away from the group after Dom gave him Jericho's licence plate and headed into the back to get to work.

"Why are you having Jesse look Jericho up?" Mia questioned/demanded crossing her arms across her chest as she gave her brother a disapproving look.

"Because I want to know more about the man I'm racing." Dom answered being straight with her.

"And that's the only reason?" Mia asked with a stern expression. "You have no other ulterior motive?" She challenged making him roll his eyes, whereas Letty and Leon decided to wisely stay out of it.

"No."

"So when Jesse finds his address you're not going to go and hunt him down and make him pay for what he did to Vince?"

"I just told you I wasn't and if you don't want to believe that then that's on you." Dom shot back hotly. "I just want to know more about the guy that I'm racing tonight. That's all."

"We all do." Letty stated drawing everyone's attention. "What are you looking at me like that for?" She snapped at the others. "None of you can honestly stand there and tell me you're not even the slightest bit curious where he got all those scars."

"He's gotta be Special Forces, no doubt." Leon proclaimed thoughtfully. "We all saw how easily he clapped Vince's cheeks." He stated making the others laugh, giggle, and chuckle respectfully.

"Think he's a fed?"

"A cop? Nah, I don't see it." Leon disagreed with Letty. "Even if he was undercover why would he leave when we arrived or risk pissing us off by knocking Vince out?"

"True." Letty concurred with the toothpick-chewing racer.

"Enough about Jericho for the minute." Dom interrupted as he spoke up. "Help me move Vince into the back room." He said looking at Leon who nodded. "We'll throw him onto the couch and wait for him to wake up."

"Throw?" Mia repeated far to sweetly for his liking. It was a tone that all of them had heard countless times over the years and knew what would follow if she didn't hear exactly what she wanted to hear from them.

"Just a figure of speech." Dom said rather quickly, at least quicker than he had meant too. "You know what I meant." He added before looking at Leon. "You grab his legs." Dom told him he lifted Vince up off the counter by holding him under the arms and Leon grabbed his legs before they carried him through the store and into the back out of sight of any customers that might have come in; despite how unlikely that was.

Pain. That was the first thing he experienced as he returned to the land of the living. His face throbbed and had the mother of all headaches that honestly felt like was going to make his head split open from how hard it was pounding. Opening his eyes, he recoiled as the bright overhead lights blinded him making his eyes water. Blinking to adjust to the light, he looked around and realized that he had woken up in the back office.

"The hell did I get here?" Vince asked himself as he slowly sat up and winced and groaned as a sharp pain shot through his stomach making grit his teeth. "Fuck!" He cursed loudly feeling like a battering ram had just slammed into his stomach and drawing the rooms only other occupant's attention.

"Hey, you're awake." Jesse commented as he turned round when he heard Vince cry out in pain. "How are you feeling?"

"How the fuck do you think I'm feeling?!" Vince snapped angrily as the pain refused to subside as he sat up on the old couch.

"Sorry." Jesse muttered, not sure what else he could say without angering the clearly distressed and hurt Vince; it seemed that Jericho had hurt him more than they originally thought.

"Don't take it out on Jesse." A voice announced drawing both Vince and Jesse's attention where they saw Leon walking into the room chewing on a toothpick like usual. "He's not the moron that tried tangling with a fucking giant and got his ass handed to him."

"He got lucky was all." Vince insisted unwavering only to be interrupted by Jesse.

"Nah, man." Jesse laughed shaking his head. "You got lucky. You're lucky that he didn't kill you."

"You found something?" Leon asked sounding surprised.

"Who are you talking too?" Jessed replied in mock arrogance. "Of course, I found something...and when I say something I mean the motherload." he said sounding excited and anxious at the same time.

"Good work, Jesse." Leon complimented his best friend. "I'll go grab Dom and the others." He said quickly exiting the room leaving Vince and Jesse alone.

"Why the hell are you looking into that prick?" Vince asked as he swung his legs over the side of the couch, so he was sitting up and leaned back to take the pressure off his stomach.

"Because Dom wants to know more about the person he's racing tonight."

"Racing?!" Vince repeated incredulously. "He should be kicking his arse after what he did to me." He growled and tried to bare his teeth only to recoil when pain shot through his face.

"The fight that you started."

"What was that?" Vince asked dangerously, however before Jesse could say anything another voice spoke up.

"You're finally up I see." A voice remarked coolly drawing Vince's attention to the doorway to see Dom walking in with Leon, Letty, and Mia behind him. "How you feeling?" he asked as he gave him a once over.

"How'd you think?" Vince grunted at him. "Thanks for the help." He said sarcastically getting a frosty look from Dom.

"You brought it on yourself." Dom retorted dryly. "And looks like you're paying the price for it." He commented seeing the pain that he was clearly in. "What the hell were you thinking?"

"That asshole embarrassed me..."

"Doesn't take a lot." Letty snarked making Vince sneer at her.

"Fuck you."

"Was it that he embarrassed you or fact that he was talking to Mia?" Dom asked rhetorically but before Vince could say anything he continued. "You did the same thing with Spilner," Vince made a face at the mere mention of the other customer he had fought with a few days ago. "Only this time you bit off more than you could chew."

"That's an understatement." Leon snickered. "You got your ass handed to you."

"Like I said, he got lucky."

"I would say it was the other way around." Letty voiced grinning at him as she stood next to Dom. "You just kept punching him and he didn't even budge. Must have hurt that manly pride of yours." She mocked him. "And all it took was two hits and you were down and out."

"Go fuck yourself." He growled at her.

"You first, bud."

"Alright, that's enough you two." Dom told them both before they could really get into it. "Jesse, what have got for me?"

"Everything that I could get my hands on." Jesse told him as he swung round in his seat to look at everyone. "First off his name is Jericho Reach..."

"Sounds like a fucking terrorist." Vince muttered scornfully as he was forced to listen about the man that beaten him senseless.

"Shut up, Vince." Mia told him already getting fed up with childish antics. "Go on, Jesse." She said urging him to go on so that she could learn more about Jericho...even though she knew that Dom would win the race and she'd never get to see him again...all because of Vince's jealousy.

"Born in 1978, he lived a pretty peaceful life with his parents until they were killed during a scuffle with a mugger leaving him an orphan at six years old. From what I can see he had no other family meaning that he was sent to an orphanage and developed a bit of a temper if the reports of him being kicked out of numerous orphanages for fighting with the other children are to be believed."

"That's so sad." Mia whispered hearing about the early years of Jericho's past. She had lost her parents at a young age but at least she had Dom and Jakob, she couldn't imagine what it must have been like to have nobody and to be thrown into an orphanage. Witnessing his parents killed in front of him must have had a huge psychological impact on his life; possibly what had turned him into such a private person...even twenty years later.

"Boo hoo."

"Carry on, Jess." Dom told Jesse ignoring the mocking remark from Vince.

"He stayed into the orphanage until he was twelve years old making very few friends until in 1990 he ran away and pretty much dropped off the grid until he resurfaced in 1994 where he encountered a Kurt Ambrose, a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy, who it says became something of a father figure for him and inspired him to joined the military in 1996; however instead of the Navy he joined the Army when he was eighteen years old."

"I haven't been able to find too much about his military career for obvious reasons...and I don't really feel comfortable trying to hack into the military to find out." Jesse told the others. He didn't doubt his skills but hacking into government was beyond his paygrade.

"That's alright, Jesse." Dom said agreeing with him. "The last thing any of us need are any military officials banging down our door because we got curious."

"Right." Jesse nodded relived that Dom hadn't asked him dig further. "His profile says that he enlisted with the 75th Ranger regiment, 1st battalion. Served two tours of Afghanistan and conducted over a hundred and fifty combat operations and served with distinction and moved up to First Lieutenant. Then was eventually transferred to 1st SFOD-D."

"What?"

"Delta Force."

"Told you he was Special Forces."

"No one argued with you, Leon." Letty rolled her eyes. "Still, makes sense how he made Vince his little bitch." She added and smirked when she saw Vince clenching his jaw.

"With a confirmed kill count of over 735, and twenty-five unconfirmed." Jesse revealed shocking everyone present at how many kills he alone had under his belt. "It would also appear that he is an expert in unconventional warfare, reconnaissance, HVT Capture and elimination, assassination, espionage, infiltration, marksmanship, and CQB and CQC."

"Shit." Letty whistled saying what was on everyone mind. "Remind me not to piss this guy off...like Vince did."

"Shut up." Instead of snapping at her like she was hoping, Vince's voice was much softer this time as he listened to everything.

"It also says that around four years ago he was transferred to an elite team known as Noble Team by a Colonel Urban Holland. Like with his operations with the Rangers and Delta Force, they are heavily redacted. But from what I can tell they all died an engagement with insurgents leaving Jericho as the only survivor leaving him with PTSD. He had therapy to counter it and continued to serve before retiring a year ago."

"He's retired?" Mia questioned softly.

"So it says here." Jesse replied pointing to monitor screen that had Jericho's file. "Apparently he wanted a life outside of the military and thus was discharged and returned to civilian life. It also says here that he owns a significant bit of land just outside of the city where he has been living for the last year."

"Alone?"

"Apparently so." Jesse shrugged missing the sad look that formed across her face.

"I guess it makes sense why he wanted us to leave him alone." Dom remarked quietly as he crossed his arms over his muscular chest.

"After all the shit I'm sure he's seen I'd say he's earned it." Letty agreed with her boyfriend, feeling somewhat guilty now to pestering him to race Dom when all he wanted was for them to leave him alone.

"I guess it makes sense now." Mia voiced her thoughts out loud and watched as everyone looked at her.

"What does?"

"His eyes...they looked so sad. Guess we know why now." She told Letty before pursing her lips. "It must be lonely." She murmured, her heart aching for the stoic and reserved man that had walked into the store.

"I get the impression that he likes the peace and quiet." Dom stated hoping to cheer his sister up noticing the sad look that had formed.

"Which Vince went and ruined."

"How was I supposed to know, damn it?!" Vince shot back at Leon as he sat on the couch.

"You didn't have to start a fight with him...and yet." Letty trailed off as Vince muttered something underneath his breath. Whether it was directed at himself, Letty, or Jericho was unclear.

"Are you still going to race him?" Mia asked her brother with a frown. "That car might be the only thing that is keeping him sane." She stated, though privately she was considering going behind Dom's back and reaching out to Jericho. Regardless of what the others might have said, Jericho shutting himself away from the world and keeping to himself wasn't doing himself any favours.

What he really needed were people in his life. And while she didn't really know him...she was hoping that she could change that with time.

"If he turns up I will." Dom's voice pulled Mia from her thoughts concerning Jericho. "If not then I won't hold it against him...which reminds me. We need to get moving." Dom stated as he looked around at his family. "I smell like shit so I'm going home first." He told them before looking at Vince. "Are you coming or are you going to sit there and brood all-night?"

"You'll have to help me up." Vince responded holding his arm out for him. "I think he might have broken my fucking ribs."

And cut! Well, here is the next chapter of The Furious Wolf. I hoped you all enjoyed it and that the dialogue was a little better this time around such as Vince not acting like a child and being a little fearful of Six now he knows of his past. Next chapter will be from Six's perspective along with the race where Brian will finally make his appearance.

Also, thank you to everyone that left the kind-hearted messages about my nan. Really meant a lot :) I'm sad that she's gone but happy that she's no longer suffering.

And SolidGhost: I plan to use your profile when the LAPD/FBI investigate Six. I haven't forgotten about it.
