Chapter 15: The power of one

CeKay was working like never before, the damage the war had created was massive and saving as much as possible wasn't easy, as a matter of fact it did at times suck. Some people refused to believe that they were in danger, others realized that yes, they would drown unless they relocated but refused to leave nonetheless and some did flee, but in the wrong direction. CeKay had seen a lot in her time but this…this was mayhem. And then there were the monsters which hadn't been slain in the war, there were still orcs and troll alive here and there and she did her best to decimate their numbers, swiftly and with finesse.

As the world became more stabile and the sea levels did find where they wanted to be she started to consider what Eonwë had said, the valar wanted to meet her and she didn't think that she ought to refuse but was this the right time to go and visit these creatures? She had done what she could, the world was safe from Morgoth, for now that was, and it seemed as if things were falling into a new sort of order. The humans didn't need her that much and neither did the elves, they had relocated and some had grasped the chance and returned to Aman with the valar. Yes, she would go see this promised land, and its rulers. She wasn't a coward and she did have quite a lot of questions she wanted honest answers to.

She left the coast early one morning, before the sun rose. She had made herself a sort of vehicle and it was very fast, a sort of jet ski which did cross the ocean very easily. She didn't fear water at all and could have swam across but she wanted to arrive in style. She had a feeling that appearance was important now so she put on her most benign expression and allowed herself to look very elfin, although more powerful. CeKay was not nervous, far from it. She had huge files on etiquette and would know how to behave, no matter what. She doubted that the valar were like the Drhashians who would get very offended if you didn't burp straight at their face when you greeted them, or the Bokhlay who would flash their genitalia as a sign of honesty.

She did see the coastline and then the mountains and hills of the inland. The island she first encountered was rather large and the population was fishermen and also some other elves who made a living carving driftwood into intricate and quite lovely furniture and other works of art. She passed Tol Eressea and headed for the main harbour. There she waited, her presence would be noticed soon enough and she was right. Eonwë was there before two hours had passed by and he did look amazing as always but she did sense a sort of tenseness within him. He did smile but the smile wasn't as wide and natural as before. CeKay did tilt her head. "Alright, what is it?"

Eonwë made a grimace. "Well, there has been…"

He bowed his head and lowered his voice. "Some among us aren't so sure that you are harmless, they fear that you may be just a potential new dark lord"

CeKay had to snort. "Well, I am not after power, that isn't in my interest at all, and I simply want to learn and protect, that is my main goal here"

Eonwë nodded. "I know, you are no servant of darkness, that is for sure, and yet they do doubt my words"

CeKay did almost growl. "Right, I see. I guess that they are waiting for me?"

Eonwë did nod. "Yes, and if I may say so, chose your attire carefully"

CeKay stared down, she wore a loose dress in blue, it was elegant but simple and she thought that she did look good. "What is wrong with this?"

He did shrug. "Not much, but they are fond of…splendour, bling if you like. Before the darkening everybody here wore so many jewels it's a miracle they didn't break their own necks, even the elves were bedecked from head to toe with rubies and emeralds and…Listen, here less is definitely not more okay? If you want to be somebody you have to dazzle them, impress them."

CeKay did frown. "I cannot say that I can imagine that the doomsman is wearing jewellery?!"

Eonwë made an odd sound, it didn't sound very dignified at all. "Ah black diamonds? Like a million of them? All over his robes? He may look sombre but believe me, he too wants to impress"

CeKay had to look at Eonwë. "Seriously?"

He nodded. "Yes, so that dress is no good. You are a being of power, you have to present yourself according to that."

CeKay would have rolled her eyes if that hadn't been impolite. She did take a step back and concentrated. So they wanted bling? Fine, bling they would get, she would bling them into oblivion for all she cared. She transformed the dress which was very simple into a sort of many layered monstrosity with thousands of small crystals imbedded in the fabric. She did look like some horrible commercial for brand new battle cruisers, they did always involve at least one overly dressed female for some peculiar reason. Then she did extend her hair, filled it with hundreds of tiny braids and added rubies, the size of dove's eggs. Then make up, necklaces, bracelets and shoes made from crystal. She felt like an overly stacked version of Cinderella.

Eonwë was blinking. "Too much?"

She made her voice as sweet as possible and he shook his head. "Ah, no! I would have to say that it is quite…remarkable"

CeKay took a deep breath. "Alright, let's go"

Eonwë did lift off and CeKay did sigh and she grasped onto him, she could fly but preferred not to, it would take too much of her energy. The flight was swift and they arrived at the top of the tallest mountain there within half an hour. CeKay saw that the palace was very airy and very beautiful but also in a way stiff. It didn't have any real charm, it was simply too perfect. And way too gaudy for her taste, it was very obvious that the inhabitants wanted to show off both power and might. Cekay did walk behind the maia towards a great hall in the middle of the complex and she did see several maiar there, all doing different chores and all stopped and stared at her, slack jawed.

The hall was magnificent, one of the grandest works of architecture she had seen in a long time. It was made by somebody with actual taste and she suspected that this was the work of Varda, but in spite of its beauty this too lacked something vital. She stared at the assembled valar and they stared back, some with wonder and others with unreadable expressions, she felt like a price cow at an auction. Manwë did step forth, she saw that he was curious and also a bit nervous, the deep blue eyes did flicker a bit and the elegant figure was tense too. She saw what Eonwë had meant, they were all carrying a heck of a lot of jewellery. It wasn't that it wasn't pretty, but it became…too much. Way too much, Yavanna wore a sort of veil which was covered with green gems of all sorts and it did make her resemble a tree, a very sparkly one. Nienna wore pearls, long rows of them everywhere and CeKay fought the urge to cringe from the sight. The only one who didn't wear overly much was Tulkas, he only wore some nicely embroidered arm bracers and CeKay had a feeling that he was the most humble among them, at least when it came to attire.

Manwë did make a gesture and chairs did form out of the thin air, he did smile. "Do have a seat, we have long hoped for you to visit us"

CeKay sensed that the chairs were a show of power and hid her smile, she could do way better than some elegant and yet not too complicated chairs but she decided to wait with any power demonstrations until later on. It could be that she would need it.

"I had things to do, I apologize for the wait"

Manwë just shrugged. "It matters not, all we have is after all time"

CeKay did sit down and she made sure that the dress did sparkle whenever she did move. Varda was staring at it, her eyes were a bit huge so perhaps it was over the top after all. CeKay tilted her head. "So, you have questions?"

Manwë did nod. "Yes, you did…a lot! As a matter of fact you did help us beat our fallen brother and we may not have done it without you, how is that possible, what are you?"

CeKay did understand that question, even if Eonwë had told them everything she had said they would want to hear it from her. She shrugged. "I am an artificial lifeform, created just as you were created"

Manwë frowned. "From the mind of your maker?"

CeKay shook her head. "No, by his hands. You may compare me with the silmarilli, I was my makers ultimate creation, just as the silmarilli were Fëanor's."

Varda leaned a bit forwards, her eyes more narrow. "Your maker, was he a God?"

CeKay shook her head. "No, but he was an exceptional person, very gifted and very clever and also way too set in his own ways to understand the true nature of the world around him"

Manwë did look a bit shocked. "He was a mortal being?"

CeKay did nod. "Yes, in some ways you may say that yes. His people were ingenious and very resourceful and yet they vanished, simply because they had too much faith in themselves!"

Namo had been standing at the back of the group the whole time, CeKay did see that yes, his robes were covered with black diamonds, he did sparkle like the others, it just wasn't that harsh on the eyes. "You have interfered with the fate of Arda, with the destiny of so many. I am not so sure that you truly are a creature of Eru"

CeKay raised an eyebrow. "Listen. I see where you are heading, you think that I am a danger right? That my coming to this place puts everything in jeopardy. But I have some news for you, I may have arrived here as a streak of just bad luck but I am a part of this world now, and yes, I think that the song or whatever you call it has adapted to it. Eru may have chosen to remain quiet about his plans but I am a part of them"

Namo didn't look convinced and CeKay shrugged. "You would have allowed Morgoth to keep causing harm to this world, you would have allowed deaths, suffering and anguish because you are too afraid of facing the truth"

Namo frowned, he did look rather terrifying. "And what is that truth if I may ask"

His voice was flat, and she wondered if he knew the meaning of the word fun at all. She turned slightly. "That you are Eru's servants, that he is behind your every action and every word, even if you think that it isn't so. You are part of him."

Manwë did almost squint. "You think we are marionettes?"

She shook her head. "No, for you have autonomy, but at the back of it all is the great plan yes, and you cannot change it. That bugs you doesn't it? You couldn't save Melkor, for he wasn't supposed to be saved, and you couldn't control the elves, for they weren't yours to control in the first place"

Orome had been silent but now he did raise his voice. "We only tried to save them"

CeKay nodded. "Yes, your intentions were noble, to save lives, to prevent suffering and to keep them safe where they could grow and develop. But the fact is that it was a bad favour, here nothing changes. Can't you see that? It is way too perfect, no change comes from perfection, no development."

Väire did sigh. "Fëanor was always different, always burning with some sort of inner turmoil, we couldn't understand him"

CeKay nodded. "I didn't meet him but I have met his sons and let me tell you one thing. He should have been born in middle earth, not here in Aman. He would have changed history, he would have brought down Melkor, not by the use of violence but by the use of wits and ingenuity."

She did lower her voice. "Melkor was the one among you who were almost unbound wasn't he? The one among you who weren't fully controlled by Eru, who could make decisions all on his own! And that was what set him apart from the rest of you"

Varda did made a grimace. "You may be right, he didn't…he couldn't create if he didn't also destroy. We did fear him"

CeKay smiled. "And rightly so, he was a loose cannon on deck"

Manwë did frown. "A what?"

CeKay did wave a hand. "Nevermind, but Fëanor would have changed his course, great things could have come from it."

Manwë almost scowled. "My brother was insane, he did try to change the very music itself, to go against the will of the all father"

CeKay sent him a nod. "Yes, but I have knowledge you don't, we all know that Melkor was unable to truly change the great theme, even his stubborn ideas were merged with the mind of Eru and thus also his will. He couldn't do anything which wasn't also born within the mind of Eru. Melkor was free in some ways and in other ways just like you, Eru couldn't truly get anything new out of him after all. And here is the reason why I think I was allowed to enter your world"

Tulkas did cross his arms. "And what is this reason?"

CeKay grinned, an almost vicious grin. "Your Eru is only one of many, there are countless makers out there, guardians of creation, gardeners if you like that concept better. They have but one flaw and you, and also Melkor, have been suffering from that flaw. "

Aüle did snort. "Explain?"

CeKay did cross her legs. "If one chose to see Eru as your father, as somebody who wants what's best for you all and wants to keep you on a tight leash at the same time I would have to say that Melkor's role has confused me a bit. But I fought him, and I gazed into his mind and within his ambitions I saw why Eru allowed him to become so destructive, so different. I saw that one thing which Eru truly lack, and thus, you too"

There was a silence. Everybody stared at her and she grinned. "Oh yes, you are lacking. The maiar on the other hand are much more free, way more expressive and they do act in a manner which is more natural. Let me tell you what you don't have and what Eru made Melkor for, creativity!"

There was a buzz of voices. "But we are creative?! Look at Arda, we made all that, Eru made it! We were his tools and he used our unique ideas and thoughts!"

CeKay shook her head. "No, that is where you my fine friends are wrong. It has all been done before. There isn't anything new about this world at all. Oh there are variations of course, plants and wildlife and so on adapted to this planet and its physical properties but there isn't anything truly new and innovative. I bet Eru has made dozens of planets like this one before, perhaps even hundreds. That is why he allowed the most powerful among you to go rogue, to see if maybe he could come up with something which hadn't been tried before, something Eru himself was unable to create."

There was a silence, then Namo grunted. "Impossible"

CeKay did wave a finger at him. "Is it? I have seen other worlds, hundreds of them. Most follow a standard set up, then we have these few very unique places where things are just chaotic and marvellous things can come from that chaos."

They were listening, she did see that. "Melkor was given all the rebellious energy Eru had, and Fëanor was meant to be a trigger, to unleash the full potential of Eru's mind through Melkor but things did backfire, disastrously. Melkor went nuts, lost his marbles, became gaga!"

Everybody just frowned and CeKay did sigh. "Listen, there is a very thin line between being a genius and being absolutely mad, Melkor did cross that line early on. A true artist is capable of seeing things from new perspectives, to approach a situation in a different manner than others. He just went too far too early and then it was done, and you my friends weren't prepared for it, it wasn't as you said it in the song."

They looked at each other. "So what now?"

Varda did sound a bit nervous and CeKay smiled, a swift smile. "You keep things going here, your powers are still needed. Melkor will not be contained forever, I can assure you of that. He is too smart, give him enough time and he will do what he was made to do, try to make a new world order."

Manwë did wet his lips. "That is correct?"

CeKay did grin widely. "So here I am, a stranger, from a different reality, one who is capable of thinking differently. That is why I am here, I can give Eru what you cannot, true initiative and new ideas. I can change the tune, bring forth new themes and new ideas. I am here to make sure that the error Eru did don't ruin all of creation"

Manwë just stared at her. "I…see?"

CeKay tilted her head to the side. "Don't worry, you still have your roles to play, the song will not be changed for you. Your tasks are pre programmed so to speak. But I am the safety button, the one to chase down the bugs within the system"

Everybody just stared, they didn't understand and she sighed. "Right, just…I am here to help alright? Melkor went more rogue than Eru expected, and it got out of hand completely. I must do whatever I can to clean up the mess."

Tulkas did look as if he wanted to say something and she turned her head towards him. "And?"

She took a deep breath. "What are your immediate plans?"

Manwë shrugged. "To give the humans who did help us a place to stay, we are thinking of an island"

CeKay made a wide gesture. "Great, make it so, but know that even that will be tested. The bug has been allowed into the system and it will try to wreak havoc, in whatever manner it can. "

Varda did stare at her, the eyes were distant. "And you? What are you to do now?"

CeKay grinned. "I am going to go back to Middle earth and help out wherever I can, all of Melkor's malice wasn't eradicated. I will be a silent guardian, for as long as it is needed"

Namo didn't look too happy. "We do not need any help"

She rolled her eyes. "No? I bet your halls are pretty crowded by now right? Your maiar are probably working double shifts or what? You are like old work horses, wearing blinkers, following the same route as you always has, blind to whatever is outside of your tiny sphere. You need to wake up, or at least realize your limits. Eru may have made you powerful and wise but compared with him you are very vulnerable."

She did grin again. "As a matter of fact we are very similar, but I have a glitch in my programming which allows me to work outside of my initial task, I have developed a personality, a soul. You on the other side are stuck, your roles defined forever and you have no desire to change. That is why you allowed this to go too far in the first place, you are unable to see the consequences of your actions. You were not meant to evolve at all."

Manwë did frown, he didn't look as if he did like what she said but she didn't care for she knew that she was right. Eru had created energy and then matter using the power of his own mind, and the power of sound. It was ingenious and she was in awe of it but the fear of creating chaos which in time would end up with complete instability had in turn changed the world into something with way too much stability and thus no progress, another type of entropy. The elves and the humans had been Eru's attempt at breaking free from that, creatures with a will of their own. Melkor had been given some if it, but he hadn't been able to cope, his valarin nature wasn't compatible with the concept of a free will and thus he did snap.

CeKay did get up. "Go ahead with your plans, follow the song. I will be there to protect it, to make sure that this world doesn't turn into something utterly strange in case something goes wrong. I am unknown to your fallen brother's minions."

She tilted her head. "I would ask you one favour though, a small boon."

Varda nodded. "I know, the one who did love you?"

CeKay nodded. "Yes, is he reborn?"

Varda turned to Namo who did nod, slowly, as if in reluctance. "He is given a new body yes, and he does reside within the woods of Oromë, with other avarin elves. Are you going to seek him out? He is happy where he is now"

CeKay smiled. "I am sure that he is, I will not seek him lord Namo, not yet. I have work to do and he is an elf, placing him in a situation where he could get killed again would be wrong of me. No, I am content to know that he is okay"

Nienna did look curious. "So, your kind is capable of feeling love?"

CeKay shrugged. "I am unique so there aren't any others for whom I can answer. But yes, I know what love is, maybe that means that I am alive after all?"

She got up and transformed the dress into a more fitting design, one made for movement. The dress she had been wearing had looked like somebody's horrible idea of a wedding cake or something like that. "I will leave now, but I will return when I am needed."

Eonwë did take place next to her to show her the way out and CeKay did mumble to herself as she did leave the hall. Eru had tried to create something unique but he had not tried hard enough, or rather, he hadn't dared to go far enough. There were universal laws which were hard to break but they could be bent and stretched to a certain degree. There were worlds out there which did defy all logic, she was sure that there were some unknown natural law which did allow for their existence but no civilization she knew of had managed to find it. Perhaps the humans of this world one day would?

She had to go through her memory bank again, snickering when she thought of the oddities out there. The great moon of Chelatrex, a gas giant of the Suchru system, way too big and way too heavy to have the orbit it did follow and yet…The atmosphere of Guilan 3, it ought to be reduced to a frozen layer not even an inch thick but it was a normal atmosphere, it did even hold a pleasant temperature. There were many examples like that out there, whoever had tought up these worlds had been a true artist, following an inner tune which had to have been truly unique. It was like creating a nice bouquet of flowers, some colours did match while others didn't. That brought forth a memory which made her laugh, back when she did serve on the ship which brought her to this place she had once encountered a peculiar sight. The planet of Kruyiz was a military dictatorship and everybody wore uniforms. Too bad that the designers had made the uniforms of the security guard a colour which made every member of the Ighl-lah race puke, and they were a very important part of the society there since they were the only ones capable of enduring the heat from the huge thermal vents which created power to the cities. And their puke was toxic with a horrible smell too, she had been there when the uniforms were first taken into use and it had become a horrible mayhem rather fast.

Eonwë did tilt his head. "What is it?"

CeKay did giggle. "Oh, I just remember a fashion mistake somebody once did, a serious one"

Eonwë made a grimace. "Are you capable of returning on your own? I could ask one of the great eagles but I prefer not to bother them with this task, they are proud and not to be used for anything less than the most important of tasks"

CeKay did grin. "I can cross over again easily enough. But do me a favour, keep an eye on everybody. You are way more impulsive than the valar and I think that is your strength, you maiar aren't unable to change. I fear that they are too rigid to be able to handle middle earth, change is coming and I am not so sure if it will be a good one"

Eonwë frowned. "Oh? What sort of change?"

CeKay shrugged. "Oh, I have seen civilizations rise and fall, and in the end things always get bad, before they can start getting better. Sometimes things just turn hellish with no chance of redemption, the humans here have a lot to learn, it may well be that they will need help one day"

Eonwë smiled. "I will bear that in mind"

CeKay did shake his hand . "I must go now, but if you need help don't hesitate to find me"

Eonwë just smiled and waved and she did allow herself to glide down from the mountain, it was dark out there now and nobody did see her so she did run back towards the coast at full speed. When she did reach the sea she did use some materials there to create a vehicle and she sailed across with relative ease. She had liked the blessed realm in one way, it was peaceful and relaxing but to a creature which craved action and challenges it was a nightmare. She wondered if those who had fallen in the war would be able to adapt to life there, it had to be horribly boring.

When she did return she tried to stay low once again, she didn't need anybody to know who or what she was so she spent most of the time chasing orcs and other monsters and it did keep her rather busy. The elves did form new societies and she didn't want to interfere with them so she gradually went east, just to see how things were faring in other parts of the world. What she did find was interesting, the cultures and different ways of living were new to her and she spent some centuries just wandering about learning as much as she could. CeKay was a bit concerned when it came to the way some of the human tribes did evolve, they were the type of people who could fall victim to darker influences and so she tried to make sure that they never would be fooled into following those of a more doubtful moral.

She did witness wonders as she travelled, great cities and temples, vast areas with a stunning natural brauty and yet she did only confirm what she had told the valar. Even of the forms and shapes were different the basic formula for creating a world were there, there was nothing truly new anywhere. The ecosystems did work the way they always did, the civilizations did also change over time following the same old pattern she had seen before and she started to wonder if the powers which seemingly did create everything had a sort of manual which they had to follow. But the humans did surprise her, almost every day. She had encountered people like them before, the race was spread out far and wide and she knew why, they were unpredictable, uncontrollable and also incredibly versatile. Give them a task and they will accomplish it given enough time, no matter how hard it is. This did of course also lead to less than pleasant things but she had to admit that they had great potential, in oh so many ways.

She would change her shape and form quite often, just to avoid creating suspicion and she allowed herself to see their societies from all angles, both the bottom and the top and for some time she did forget about the west and the elves and the valar. She was exploring and enjoying herself and it was rather amazing how fast things could change among these short lived mortals. They did entertain her in a way few others had and even the most nasty side effects of their often doubtful ideas could be easily explained. Then she realized that she ought to return to the west once more and she arrived at the coast hidden as an ordinary elf. The city she did end up in was rather new and famous for its markets and the large number of artisans who had gathered there. The guild of silversmiths was famous in special and she learned that the grandson of Fëanor was in charge of the group. He was supposed to be just as ingenious as his grandfather and CeKay had a feeling of worry, why she didn't know.

The other elves there were mostly sindar and nandor and some silvan and avarin elves too. The power was distributed between several elves with the supposed son of Fingon as king and CeKay hoped that this stabile situation would last. She did recognize Galadriel and Celeborn from Menegroth so she stayed clear of them, she was rather sure that the golden haired elleth would recognize her even in a different shape and also, she didn't want to cause any sort of disturbance. The humans had been given a new island to the west, the twin brother of Elrond had chosen to be counted as a human being and he had become the first king of that nation. CeKay started working at the docks, there she would tap into the gossip of the city and keep an eye on everything which happened and before long she had learned that there was a maia in the city, a emissary of the Valar who had been sent to help the elves perfect their work. That sent CeKay into a frenzy, she didn't believe this to be true at all since she had received no word of someone like that from Eonwë. The maia was named Annatar and she just knew that this was no good.

Apparently she wasn't the only one feeling this way, Galadriel and Celeborn left the city to live to the south east in the great woods there and everybody said that the golden lady did despise the maia and tried to warn her cousin of the true nature of the creature. CeKay did agree, even if he did try to teach the elves new techniques and so on she doubted that he was unselfish. There was something else going on and CeKay did try to get access to the guild. That proved to be tough, very tough. They didn't just allow anybody into their midst and CeKay did need to prove her skills and so on, also she needed a solid backstory. Transforming into an ellon wasn't that hard, it was harder creating a believable history for everybody knew each other. She was starting to wonder if maybe she could use her adventures to the east to her advantage, claim that she had been living out east for ages but that too could be seen as suspicious.

She did never gain access to the guild and she did only manage to meet Celebrimbor on a few occasions and she didn't manage to speak to him alone, at all. She could of course expose herself as what she truly was but that would be counterproductive, if that maia was a bad seed it would send him off and CeKay didn't want to go chasing that thing all over Arda. She was rather sure that this was one of those who had followed Melkor, all her instincts did tell her so.

But they had made great things and CeKay did visit the dwarves for a while to see if she could get access through them, and maybe expose the maia as a fraud and an enemy. The stay there did bring her into contact with a dwarf Celebrimbor had been working with, Narvi. The dwarf did tell her that Celebrimbor had denounced his father and the rest of his kin and that he tried to make peace with the valar and atone for his family's lack of faith. That did explain why he did accept that maia the way he did, as if he was some sort of savior and CeKay didn't like it at all. Narvi didn't either but he did reveal that Celebrimbor had learned a new craft, making rings of power and also that the elven smith had told the dwarf about three very powerful ones he had made, in secret.

CeKay realized that the smith probably shared her suspicions and she did also realize that the maia definitely had his own reasons for teaching the elves all these new things. She did rush back to the city to see if she could interfere but the maia had gone and there were no sign of him. That puzzled her but she remained there and took different shapes to blend in with the inhabitants. The son of Eärendil and Elwing did start to create a sanctuary of his own and CeKay did follow some of the other artisans there, just to keep herself busy and keep an eye on everything and she was there when word was sent out that the city of Celebrimbor had been attacked and destroyed. She did march with Elrond's army as they tried to rescue as many as possible of the inhabitants and she did see what the maia had done to Celebrimbor. The sight was sickening even to her and she realized that this maia could become a great problem, one which would haunt the lands for a long time.

She wondered if she could do anything about him on her own and reached the conclusion that yes, she could possibly destroy him but that would expose her to the people there and it was no good. She was no God, it wasn't in the song. She had to wait. And so she did wait, for many long years. She stayed in Imladris and kept an eye on the realms and she realized that the new realm to the west was growing more and more in influence and might. And it was changing, many did turn away from the old ways and she did see how this did grieve Elrond. The descendants of his brother were being twisted by their own greed and lust for power. It wasn't a good situation and when she heard that the maia who now was confirmed to be Sauron had rebuilt his power and lived in Mordor she knew that the peace would come to an end soon.

CeKay did not want to wait this time, if there was trouble brewing she wanted to be on top of it, she wanted to get out there and stop this rogue maia before he went too far but unfortunately she was too late. The ruler of Numenor had obviously decided that he was the only force strong enough to stop Sauron and he had arrived at the beaches with a fleet and he attacked Mordor. And Sauron did surrender, he didn't really put up that much of a fight at all and that was when CeKay realized that Sauron had planned for that the whole time. The maia was a strategist for sure, from Numenor he could launch an attack at Aman if he wanted to and CeKay felt a need to roll her eyes. The great king had caught a tiger by the tail, and then he had simply let go of it and she didn't need to be intelligent to realize what Sauron would do next. He had managed to fool a grandson of Feanor, a megalomaniac human king would fall for his lies like a ton of bricks and she was dead sure that the maia would tempt him with what the humans most coveted, eternal life.

To her the conclusion was an easy one, she had to get to Numenor and she had to stop Sauron before he corrupted the entire island, there was no other choice. She left the hidden valley and left for the coast yet again and this time she swore that her role would be active, not just that of somebody observing.
