Gretchen:Or that summer we all carved our initals in that big tree in the Wilson Backyard.
Me:Yes That was my first summer Here. I came that summer right at the end. Before the Hurricane I was attending Second Street School at the same time we heard a hurricane hit Florida where my cousions Meruima and Nate were. That Friday my parents came to get me and Candace out of school. I was sitting with my Dad Marty outside out front and my mother was crying a lot because we had to move out our house really fast before this hurricane. We got a dumpster truck and we ended up throwing away a lot of our stuff before the storm and we only took what we would carry. We had two suitcases for each of us. We took clothes and bedding. I took my speical pink blanket I had with me ever since I was baby that my birth parents got for me before my dad got Arrested. I took a few toys with me in one suitcase and so Did Phineas. I also took my Hamtaro water bottle that I got from my sister in the mail durning the previous school year. We then took off in my mothers Car she had gotten in March that year. We had to live in a shelter durning the storm at air guard base. We stayed there a few days and the after that we stayed in a motel for a while until We got a new house.
Vince:And Spinelli spelled her wrong.
Spinelli:Hey I was 7 and s's are tricky.
Just then Gus began Crying.
Spinelli:What is your problem? This is your first summer living here.
Me:Isnt it obvious. With me and Gus moving have not had the time to make memories. I explained to everybody. A bit sadly.
Gus:She is right. I never have any of those memories. He continued crying before hugging Gretchen and she patted him on the back for comfort..
Me:Hey its not all that bad. I tried my best to smile. I mean we have made memories during the school year. Remember when I first came to this school and your sector after I was promoted to a Safety Patroller that summer before 2nd grade I was scared. I thought I would make any friends and you guys welcomed me in open arms. I also remember the hurricane that happened in the South.
Tj:Oh yeah. I remember that June day. He smiled at the memory to when I moved to Ohio and I first joined his sector after my transfer from the South.
Mikey:That is right. We made sure that you met everyone.
Karen:And do not forget the day we busted Tj out of Detention in August when we first came back from the summer before 4th grade.
We chucked.
Gus:What about the time we had that Jungle Gym Standoff we had to save Old Rusty in September.
Me:Or that day In November we got in the biggest trouble ever we accidently destroyed that statue and It nearly costed us our friendship.
Me:Or that time Tj did pranks in the school on Randall and with King bob in April. It reminded me of all the pranks that I used to do with my sister Grace.
We all laughed as we told stories of our school adventures.
Mikey:You know what I will never forget. Mikey told us and we turned to him. That song that Tj sister taught us the first summer after Kindergarden.
Me:When I was 5 it was my first summer with my adoptive family. I had lived with My birth parents for 4 years. However my family was arrested in April a few weeks after I was born. I heard bang bang bang as a baby and My sister Grace who was 4 at the time and seen police lights outside. I was scared I had no idea what was going on. My daddy told me and Grace to wake up that instant. Grace asked Mom if she had too as she was sleepy. My Mom then told her no time to explain. We had seen the police cars outside from the living room of our house. My mother was crying a lot that morning. We only took what we could we had two suitcases with us full of bedding and clothing and eating utensils and toilet articles. My parents took my baby bottles and my pacifier for me too. My sister Grace was a little sad too because she wanted to take toys and so did I but my parents could only take clothes. After we left the house rest of our possessions were seized right away. I was leaving room behind and i crawled around the house Grace was sad to leave her room and dresser and the doll she could never part with. She also wondered who would take her place in school now that she was gone.
The next thing I knew this man grabbed me and I was in his arms. Looker had then put us into his police car and he took us to where we had to live in a prison cell we stayed there for a while. Our parents felt worse on the way. At the prison there some people who were old and some were young. Some were laughing their cells and others were crying. Our parents were very scared. What scared my parents the most was were the swat officers standing at the doorway of the cell.
Me: We later ended up on plane transport to Santa Anita which was a racetrack After I turned 1 and Grace was 5 at the poinr. Each family had to live in a Horse stall. Grace and me though this was fun because we got to sleep where the horse slept which we thought was fun. But for my mother it was a painful and degrading experience. We stayed until I was 18 months old and Grace was 6 years old. Our mother did the best to protect from the unsanitary conditions but Eventually Grace got sick. Grace also tried classes in the Grandstand.
Me:Then a couple months later we were told pack up our things. We had to board a train. Not first without being tagged to keep track of us like cattle. For me and Grace it was another train ticket. I asked my Mom on the way I had asked her where we going. She told me we were going to a place called California. Me and Grace were excited at that point. She asked what it was like Our mother said she was not sure. We also had seen people crying but we did not know why. Mom had said we were going on a vacation. It was an adventure to us kids.
Day two came and we had to go off the train to go outside. Me and Grace ran in the heat. We also touched a soliders guns and we were like ah hot before we went back on the train and we also enjoyed water on the train. We also ran on the train and hid under the seat. We then ended up in a place called the Childrens Village once we arrived to Manzar and we were not allowed to see our father. Our mother was in a different camp as well so we were by ourselves. We lived in a Barrack together for 5 years together.
Then On June 4th 2002. Grace was devastated to learn I was being adopted by a family. She was so sad that she might not see me again. So she came over to my Barrack where I stayed with the younger kids and she gave me a locket with a picture of me and her in it. I took it with me to my house in Mississippi.
Marty:Come on kids pick any child you would like
In the end they choose me.
Grace:I have came to say goodbye.
She then gave a present to me.
Grace:Here is the present I have for you. This you can take with you.
She told me to take it with me.
It was a locket with a picture of Me and Grace it in.
Grace:Put it on so you will not have to pack it.
I put it on my neck.
Grace:Well good bye then.
So After that I went to a house in Biloxi. I was 5 years old. I stayed there for 3 years. With my parents and Candace and Phineas my brother. This was where he was born. Candace had moved to Biloxi when she was 4 years old.
Me:It was a while ago but thank you.
Tj:Oh yeah back when she was nice.
Spinelli:How does this song go again?
Mikey then sang John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt. And soon we began enjoying ourselves.
After that we became drowsy.
But we still needed to keep any eye for any Suspicous actions.
Gus:Well that smiled. Before he yawned with us.
Me:Why don't you guys get some rest. I will take watch. I told everyone.
Tj:Thanks he fell alseep with others on a pile.
