Classes started at 9h with History of Magic with Hufflepuff. Sirius was sitting next to Narcissa, and neither could stay awake because Professor Binns was droning on about goblin wars. The two cousins wondered why the Hell did Hogwarts have a teacher who was a ghost.
Next was Transfiguration, from 10:15 till 11:15. Sirius was seated with Cissy to his left and James on his right.
"I can't focus," said James.
"Maybe if you didn't keep staring at Evans."
"Not my fault she's attractive."
"You just saw her."
"And I already have a crush on her."
"Are you serious?"
"No, you are." A groan can be heard coming from Narcissa.
And thus starts James Potter' chase of Lily Evans.
At lunch, both Sirius and Narcissa received letters congratulating them on their Sorting from their parents and grandparents. Sirius was laughing at his mother's message because he definitely won't become the man she wants. He got Sorted into Slytherin for his cousins and brother, not for her Dark Lord.
At 3:30 PM, the Slytherins had Flying class with Gryffindor, so James jumped on the opportunity to ask Lily out.
"Hey Evans, wanna go to Hogsmeade with me? I know a way of sneaking out."
"Keep your Gryffindor hands away from her," snapped Snape.
James wanted to hex Snape, but Madam Hooch was looking at him.
"I will make you regret this, Snivellus. I will bully you so much that she will agree to get out with me."
Snape was about to fire a nasty curse at Potter but Lily told him not to.
Both Sirius and Narcissa were laughing at James' antics.
At their daily tea that day at 5 o'clock, the four cousins started to talk about their first day at school.
"That idiot really did it," said Sirius.
"Which idiot and what did he do?" asked Bellatrix.
"Potter asked the younger Evans out, she naturally refused," said Narcissa.
"But he just met her," said Andromeda.
"James is sure she will say yes one day. He's planning on asking her out again. I feel bad for Evans," said Sirius seriously.
"I knew he was a blood traitor, but I didn't know he was an idiot," said Bellatrix.
"If he annoys Lily, he will get hexed by Petunia," said Andromeda.
"I still don't get why you're friends with that Mudblood," said Bellatrix.
"Will you give it up about Muggle-borns, Bella? You saw how they can be Parselmouths,," replied Andy.
"I still call foul play."
"Come on Bella, you're too intelligent to believe they stole their magic," said Sirius.
Before sleeping, Sirius wrote to his brother about his day and the people he met.
