Chapter 3 – A Prince's Revenge
A Prince shows why you shouldn't mess with them.
CW: Gore
On Friday, Sirius had double Potions with the Gryffindors from 9 to 11. Sirius obviously teamed up with Narcissa. James tried to team up with Lily, but she was with Severus, so he had to team up with Peter Pettigrew, a timid boy he met on the train.
Professor Slughorn assigned his students the brewing of the Cure for Boils Potion. At the end of the day, Severus and Lily were the ones with the best potion, tied with Sirius and Narcissa. The rest of the day was off.
During lunch in the Great Hall, Severus was complaining about the author of their Potions book.
"Uncle Marius is right when he says the author is a dunderhead who doesn't know basic Arithmancy."
"Marius Black is related to you?" asked Petunia.
"Yes."
"Snape…Snape. Oh I remember! Your mother is Eileen Prince, right?" asked Bellatrix.
"Yes."
"That explains your prowess at Potions. You inherited it from the best family in the wizarding world."
Typical Black family arrogance, though Severus.
At 5 PM, the Slytherins were having their daily tea. Unlike the weekly high tea, this one was held in the Great Hall, so Sirius was drinking with James, Remus, and Peter. Remus Lupin was a shy Ravenclaw that James and Sirius met on the train. James couldn't stop talking about Lily Evans and Sirius had to threaten to hex him.

It was the worst day of the month for Remus. Like every month, he will turn into a mindless murderous monster. Remus was sighing. While it was kind from Professor Dumbledore to provide him with the Shrieking Shack where he could transform safely without endangering anyone or getting seen by others, but Remus was worried his friends will learn about him. No one wants to be friends with such a monster after all.

Severus Snape was seated at the Slytherin in the Great Hall with Lily and Petunia when he received a unexpected letter from Prince Manor. That was strange, he thought, since his mother was disowned and he was nothing but a filthy half-blood to the Princes. As he was reading, he couldn't believe what was written.
"What's the matter, Sev?" asked Lily.
"Mother ran away. And she took her revenge on my sire." Severus hated calling that man "Father".
"That's awesome!" exclaimed both Lily and Petunia.
"Looks like not even Squibs are safe from the Black family madness."
"What happened?" asked Lily.
"Uncle Marius created a poison so potent it made my sire's organs explode. He had his house-elf slip it into his drinks."
Lily and Petunia didn't know what to say.
"Good riddance I say. Now, Mother is being taken care of at Prince Manor. Grandmother Cassiopeia will not let them kick her out."
"That's great!" exclaimed Lily.
What Severus didn't say is that the Princes will want him to join the Dark Lord.
