Sup dudes, it 1602jaw here. Bringing you some new content.
The rain has ceased.
Much to the relief to Reg, as it makes the journey a lot more easier.
However, it does increase the humidity of this planet, causign Hondo to sweat constantly.
He feel tired, exhausted, and thirsty.
It's only been 3 hours, and already Hondo was feeling more and more drain, while Reg continue to move forward.
"Should've chosen a different planet than here", Hondo thought, swiping his forehead, "It's a good thing this child is carrying my stuff. Without him, my back could've suffer a lot of back pain. Still, I'm a bit surprise he hasn't drop any sweat yet. Then again, he did mention he's a cyborg".
Reg took notice of Hondo condition and asked, "Hey, you seem...kinda exhausted. Do you want to rest?"
"Rest? No, I'm...uhh..perfectly fine".
"Your sure?"
"Yes", Hondo replied, then retreating back to his thought, "As much as I want to rest much to his concern, I must go on if my life depends on it. Still, I should ask where the boy is heading. Probably should've done that before, but hey my mind isn't always on the right track".
"Say child, where are we heading exactly?" Hondo spoke up.
"I know a town not far from here. It's call...Wink town", Reg replied, "I think that's what it call".
"Really?" Hondo replied, "Never been to that place before".
"Speaking of, how did you arrive here?".
"Oh, I came by from one of the transport ships. I arrive in a different town...somewhere around here, likely".
"I see".
"Wink Town, eh? Never heard of that place, but sounds like a good resting spot", Hondo thought, "All I have to do is find the nearest hologram or phone booth and ensure my stolen goods are pay off fairly, and I'll be off the hook. No more finical debt refreshment for me, aha! Wait, why did I say that?"
Soon in the distance Reg can spot a small town in the horizon, assuming it to be Wink Town.
They finally made it to the town.
The town itself form into a square surrounding. Most of the structures themselves are made out of scraps and metal. Steel or tent like roofs is a common stable to this town. Along with that, pipes filled up most of the structures.
The structures themselves are mostly markets, bars, saloons, or any essential things for the residents.
As for the residents, it consist of mostly travelers, immigrants, and some natives. Some were hooded and wore robes, others wore coats and fedoras, and some where something to their custom.
Some were humans, others were not. Some were conversing, others were roaming around and minding their own business. Some were driving in speeders, wagons pulled by a certain creatures, or normal vehicles.
Wether the case, Reg and Hondo enter the town in the center that faces both side of the road, with Hondo smelling the sense of relief, finally a place for him to do his own business, "Finally. A town. Thought I was lost forever back there, you know".
"Sooooo what now?"
"What now? Simple. I'll just need to take a hologram call", Hondo said, looking around, "Just need to find the nearest booth around here".
"Why do you need to make a call?"
"Oh, it's important. Just...uhhh, stand here and do nothing, while I look for one", Hondo said, as he walk off, "I'll be back soon".
Reg complied with his order. He has nothing else to do, so it's no issue if he had to be patient with Hondo needs. After all, it could be worth a while.
As he stood there, he notice something on the right corner.
A bunch of people line up to what appear to be a small ship, with people putting away certain material in a open lid hole. Two men guarded it with the both of them wearing a red uniform, a black helmet, and a black beak like mask, with black goggles. They are also holding weapons.
Another man, wearing a similar red uniform, is seem shouting. What makes him different from the rest was this time his face is clear and he is seen wearing a black cap.
"Come here! Come here! The place for preserving history! Preserve it, and it will be worth your time! Come! Come!" The man shouted.
Behind him was a table that is set up, containing many black suitcase, with the people taking one after putting away their valuable inside the ship.
The person sitting in the table is another man wearing the same uniform, only he see much older and wearing some glasses.
What caught Reg eyes were the symbol attach onto the front side of the ship, which resemble a red bird with it wings spread out.
This made Reg curious, as he never seen anything like this before, throughout his journey.
So he decided to approach them.
He head to the man at the table, who is seen checking off a list on a clipboard. His attention isn't caught, as Reg proceed to greet him, "Umm...hi".
Without looking, the man replied in a British accent, "Hello".
"Ummm excuse me, if you don't mind but I'm kinda curious about-"
"If you here to exchange for goods, you must bring something that is deem valuable to us".
"Valuable?"
"Indeed".
Reg was at first confuse, but then he realized something.
He realize Hondo mention something about preservation. And since it seems the action done here is similar to what Hondo is referring to, Reg seem to believe this is the right place to do it, "Wait, Hondo mention something about preservation. Perhaps this is what he meant".
"Sir, can I help you or something? Or do I need to direct you to one of our superiors".
"Umm actually, I'm here to exchange for something, it's one of my friend request".
"Alright, just wait in line and put them inside the compartment".
As Reg did as he is told, Hondo was still talking through the hologram, which was located inside a long, black circular tube, with a entrance for anyone to speak in private.
"Yes, yes, I got the fortunates to pay off your debit, mister Ironbeard", Hondo said, looking very confident, checking his finger and seemingly smirking to himself, "No, don't worry I'm not screwing with you or anything, come on. We both gentlemen here. Nobody want some bloodshed, you know...alright, alright, I'll be there soon. See you later, my pal. Hopefully we can put our differences away".
After he hung up, he fisted to himself and whisper, "Yes! That was easy than I thought. Now to meet with my partner, and tell him the good news".
He stepped out of the booth, finding Reg has return back to the exact spot, only this time holding a briefcase.
"Good news, laddie! It seems I have-" Before Hondo could finished, he notice something off. Pushing aside his static mood, he asked him, "Uhh...where's my fortunate? Did you hide it somewhere safe or-"
"Uhh no, I actually did what you mention".
"Mention? What did you mean by that?"
"You don't recall? You mention needing to find a place to preserve. Luckily, I find a organization that are known for that. I gave them
"Wait a second, you did what?!" Hondo asked, grabbing him by the arms and shaking him, much to his confusion and puzzlement, "You gave away all of my belongings to a group of strangers?!"
"UHh yeah, isn't that what you wanted?"
"No! I meant...gah!" He let go, feeling distress, "I knew I should've not have entrusted my belongings on a kid!"
"But I'm a robot".
"Kid. Robot. Whatever!"
It seems hopeless for Hondo. Now that his stolen goods are gone, this left him in more trouble than ever, realizing he'll be facing a infamous pirate that could kill him if he doesn't pay him off in time.
And now the time has come.
Just before Hondo could panic a bit more, he then notice Reg holding the briefcase.
Curious, he asked him, "Uhh...child, what is that you are carrying?"
Reg looked at the case, then replied, "Oh, this is something these guys gave it to me, while I donated your stuff to them. It suppose to be credits in there".
"Credits?! Give me that!" Hondo snatch it from Reg, opening it and checking it for himself.
He was counting, hoping it be enough to pay off the specific debit he was in.
Unfortunately, it wasn't enough, much to his sheer disappointment, "Crud, not enough! I can't give these to them. They'll kill me more, if I gave them half what they threaten me".
Then another idea came to him, one he didn't realize until now. It was obvious to him. So obvious and possibly his last resort, "Wait, my partner here is a experience fighter, based off from what I saw. Why give them something, when I could redirect those threat back to them myself. Why didn't thought of this before?"
Reg, assuming his assistance is no longer needed, decided to depart ways with him, telling him, "Well, I better be going right now. I'm not sure if I did a good job or what, but hopefully it was the best I could do. So good bye".
As Reg turned around, he was quickly stopped by Hondo, gesturing him to pause with his hands hold out, "Now, now, now, wait just a moment, my...uhh, partner. There...uhhh, still more things I wanted you to do for me".
"Do for you? Like what?"
"Uhh...it's...uhhh, something", Hondo said, "All you need to know is...I'm meeting with a group of fellows somewhere in Drop Town. They needed me to bring you there to do...something".
"Really?" Reg asked, beginning to hold some suspiciousness over him.
Despite eagerly helping Hondo in some way, Reg was beginning to case some doubts about helping him again. He's not the type to disown any assistance or only accept help for a price. However, he still remain cautious to those he assist, especially from strangers that act odd.
"I don't know", Reg replied, feeling uncertain about this, "I'm not entirely sure if I should really help you. I mean, no offense but I'm getting a feeling you trying to use me for something sinister".
"Sinister? What sinister? All I'm asking is for you to do one tiny request for me. Just one tiny bit. And after that, I'll leave you perfectly alone...with a price of return in your own words".
Nonetheless, Reg sigh to himself. Realizing he has little of enough credits to support himself, despite having enough equipment and good to supply himself with.
So he nodded in agreement, much to Hondo satisfaction.
"Thank you. I know you wouldn't decline my offer, partner", Hondo said, "Just do one more thing for me and your free to go with your earnings".
"I hope so, sir. I'm really hoping I don't get myself into any more trouble".
"There's no trouble, boy. I'll promise you that".
Night has fallen upon this day.
The coldness breeze began. The vibration of a engine is felt and the sky is now a dark blue stain, couple with a dozens of stars that plaster everywhere in the sky.
The location itself was now a abandoned structure. A structure that seem to be a factory, with four long, circular pipes. The center was a square like building with the top being a crack, open glass that let out the cold breeze in.
The windows were shatter, sand begin to cover the entire half of the structure, and the inside itself is stuff with tons of sand, making it bearable for anyone to check what inside the interior.
Despite that, there were enough room for four individuals staying there.
It consist two aliens. One has a long neck, with white fur, black doted eyes, and a mask, as well as wearing a hat. Another is a vain, muscle bound being, wearing entirely in armor.
The other individuals is simply a human, wearing a turban, a coat, and having a mustache.
The last individuals seem to be a special one, as he wears entirely a pirate captain blue coat and hat. His entire face is made out of a sharp, iron material. Whenever he talk, his mouth retracted, like sharp teeth of a mechanical, drilling shark. His eyes were blue pupils.
He is seen walking around, swinging his sword out of boredom, all a while the other men stood there, sharing the same boredom as he does.
"This is taking too long", The muscle one asked, looking at the long neck alien, "How long does it take to bring in his debt?"
"Perhaps he has an assistance", The long neck one replied, "He did mention something like that".
"Whoever this assistance is, he's doing a terrible job at helping out fool".
"Calm down you moron", The turban man told him, "He'll be here soon. He's likely taking his precious time in doing all sorts of things. Anyone would act jolly, if they have the right debt they must owe. Hell, I would do the same thing".
"Wouldn't be that surprise", The long neck one said.
"Yeah", The muscle one said, "If you ask me, we could've just go to him ourselves, instead of wasting around in this dumb factory".
"Patient yourself, mister Graffeel", The iron figure told him, crossing his arm and looking away from them, directing his look out in the window, as his words caught their quick attention, "It's all about patient, you three. If he doesn't arrive with the loot you owe us, then this will be his grave. A forgotten territory, abandoned without care".
"You certain he got the goods he owe us?" The turban man asked, "What if he's lying to us".
"Then death is too much of a mercy for him to handle. We'll just have to...ensure our frustration is known. And if he does have it, we'll laugh it off, enjoy ourselves at a bar, and maybe reestablish our partnership in crime".
He then turned around, still not looking but continuing to swing his sword around, "Now I know Hondo, personally. I know what he is, what he thinks, and when he is lying or telling the truth. The thing is, I'm a man who see if it is. I see if he got it, if he don't then I'll proceed with my next option".
"So in other words, he doesn't have it?" The muscle one asked.
"Maybe...maybe not. We'll just have to see".
Just then, they heard a voice coming from the entrance. They all turned around and saw him.
Hondo leaning his hands against the entrance, all a while acting cocky in this situation, "Helloooooooo! It seems I have your attention now, my good friends. Especially from you, Ironbeard".
"Hondo!" Ironbeard responded in a pleasant and surprise gesture, "Your back. Took you long enough to get here, you know".
"Well, there were tons of traffic in this area that prevented me from getting here in time".
"Traffic?" The long neck one said, looking confuse, "I haven't seen any traffic in this area".
"Whatever your excuse is, it doesn't matter", Ironbeard said, laying his sword on his shoulder, "What matters is wether or not you got the fortune you owe us".
"Fortune? What fortune?" Hondo asked, sarcastically, causing Ironbeard to act aggressive by slowly.
"The fortune you owe us, Hondo. Don't you remember?"
"Fortune, fortune, oh yeah! That!" Hondo replied, as the three men proceed to pulled out their weapon, assuming he did something that likely involve him either loosing it or lying of it.
"Hondo, do you have it or not?" Ironbeard asked, beginning to be more and more frustrated to him.
"Yes! I do! I was just simply playing with you", Hondo said, "You know me. Quite the silly jokester".
"Then where is it?"
"Where's what?"
"The goods!"
"Oh right, yes! That! I do have it with me, don't worry. In fact, I brought something even better".
Hondo whistle, causing Reg to appear in front of them, a bit shy at first, but manage to gain enough courage to come out and meet them.
Reg first thought in meeting them were concern, feeling something isn't right about this. He felt unease by them, especially from their leader.
As for Ironbeard reaction, he was confuse and fuming. He asked him, "Who is this boy?"
"Him? Let just say he's...ah, forget it!" Hondo drop his pretending attitude and then proceeded to hide behind Reg, expecting Reg to strike first or attack, forgetting the fact he lie to him, "Quickly boy! Attack them!"
"Huh?" Reg responded, confuse and puzzle, looking down at Hondo who was hiding behind him.
Ironbeard, now seeing the frustrating truth behind this along with everyone else, growl and pulled out his laser pistol, with his three men follow as well, aiming their weapon at them.
At that moment, Reg realized he's been trick into this dangerous situation, and should've known better. He back away, forming in a battle position.
But before things could transpire, they all heard a trembling noise.
A noise coming from above, as tiny rubble began to fall. Soon, more rubble began to rain down, until it reveal itself once the ceiling above crumble and was remove by a green projection.
They all stare at the night sky, seeing a green figure floating above them. It was hard to see on who the figure is because of how dark the outside is.
But Ironbeard and the other men quickly realize who it is, based off he green aura.
And they were terrified by it presented, shock even. With Ironbeard feeling nothing but rage. As if his business of dealing with problems was suddenly interrupted by an intervention.
Reg stood there, utterly stunned and confuse, as the muscle one shouted, "Crud, it's the Green Lantern!"
The turban man began to panic, "Crap, crap, crap, what are we going to do?!"
"Shut up! You know what to do! Kill it!" Ironbeard order, aiming his weapon directly at the Green Lantern, as all of them proceeded to fire.
A show of red and blue light flashes before Reg. The speed of a lasers are shot one by another from their guns, but it did nothing but create a spectacle.
The green light, projected by the Green Lantern, created a shield to block the attack. It stood there, showing no struggle at all in handling this situation.
This didn't stop the four men from firing more and more in a attempt to destroy it. One of them, the tall neck one, seem to sort of acknowledge how futile it is and told Ironbeard, "Sir, this isn't working!"
"Keep firing! I'm not going to get apprehended by a Green Lantern!" Ironbeard shouted.
For a moment, Reg stood there, unable to think and wondering how long will this firing will last. His thoughts were answer, when the Green Lantern quickly and swiftly move his arm where he projected the shield and proceed to project another structure, this time a hand grabbing all three of the men.
Ironbeard, seeing no use in fighting with this unknown being, ran off before he could get capture.
He jump out of the window then head to a speeder that is park along with the rest of the speeder.
He then trail off away from the structure, with the Green Lantern following suit to him.
Everything was in silence. No Ironbeard, no three mercenaries, no Green Lantern. Just Reg and a fear Hondo, shivering behind him.
Reg stood there, remaining stunned for a moment. He couldn't even comprehend what just happen. He could understand what's going on, but the context behind it completely missed him. Who was that Green Lantern? What is a Green Lantern? And why did it attack these men, instead of them?
All questions that ponder over his mind. However, it didn't last long, as Hondo poke and saw that nobody is here, much to his shocking relief.
He got up and raise his arm out, happily knowing he's going to fine. He then chuckle to himself, until it turn into a cackling laughter, "Yes! They gone! Which means, I don't have to owe anyone debt! Never thought I said this, but thank you karma! Hahahahaha!"
He began to dance around to celebrate his stay in the moral world like a drunken bear, until eventually he notice Reg expression.
It was an expression filled with no share relief as he does. Now it is a face of stern, a look of what he now just remember when Hondo try to use him as a weapon. He was unhappy, frowning at him, as Hondo froze in his dance move.
Hondo realize it and responded, "Oh! You...ummm...".
Reg awaited for a response, still giving a look of demanding a entire explanation for what he witness.
"Okay, the truth is", Hondo replied, in a attempt to try to sound more reasonable and make himself as innocent here, "Iiiiiiiiiii may have not explain a lot of things about my actual intention".
Reg, rolling his eyes, began to turned around and storm off to get his things, with Hondo following him to try to catch him and explain further. Even though he use him, Hondo felt he needed an actual partner, and think Reg is a perfect choice, seeing how he's willing to him in any need, despite it being a lie, "Now wait a minute, Reg! You completely mistook it".
Reg got outside and picked up his backpack, carrying it on his back, while Hondo try to talk him out, "I didn't mean to use you as a weapon. I was just trying to show you off how brilliant and excellent you are at fighting. You know, grabbing their attention and giving me their credits. Remember that I promise you the share of my fortunate, huh?"
There was no point in talking with him. Reg see this as a waste of time, and not only that but a terrible experience for him, as he continue to walk off, leaving Hondo behind.
This made Hondo get a bit frustrated, as he yelled, "Fine! Be that way! I don't need a new partner! I can do everything on my own! And service is no longer needed!"
Once again, Reg didn't respond. Instead, he continue moving forward, not looking back at him.
As Reg disappear in the distance, this left Hondo alone, all by himself.
"Blah, I don't need that child", Hondo said to himself, "From now on, I'm going to do everything myself!"
He swore of that claim, remaining in this position where he pointed his finger up. Eventually, he lower it down, realizing, "Probably should've ask for a lift".
A new place to rest, a new spot for him to reflect himself about the event that happen before.
Now the sky is raining down snow upon this land, slowly and gently. Coldness begin to breeze up, and the the ground that was once consist of sand became a land of snow, with the sand buried deeper under it.
As for where Reg has rested, it was somewhere in another cave, this time located near a large mountain area, where he is resided.
The cave wasn't deep, but it was enough to allow his luggages to fit, as well as to start a bond fire inside it.
He lean near the entrance of the save, staring outward into the distance land where three moons stood. Three moons that form a triangle.
He can't feel the coldness, nor can he feel warmth from the bond fire. The reason he created the bond fire is merely out of his observation, seeing that those who camp would always set up a campfire.
He does it, but now he doesn't know what the use of it. The only use in his head was for light source, but he can clearly see anything without it. Likely for food, but then he remember that despite having taste, food has no effect on him.
Still, it didn't really matter for him. What matter was his reflection and how that certain event made him feel curious, as well as a little frustrated.
He thought, "I can't believe I help that guy out. I should've seen the warning. I should've known better. Still, at least I'm still alive and in parts. I do wonder who that Green Lantern guy is? Did he has something to do with those guys or what?"
The Green Lantern strike him a bit, as he never heard of them before.
He never seen one or ever encounter one. Despite him traveling a lot, the mere mention of it made Reg curiosity grown.
Whatever new thing he remember, it didn't matter to him. What matters for him now is surviving, and that is what he is doing now, seeing no point of dwelling about it.
He enter back to the cave and sat down next to the fire, along with his luggages.
He decided to check a few things in his backpack, opening it and pulling out a few items.
Inside consist of mainly bags of what remains little of his credits, along with a few scraps and food. He pulled out one important thing and that was the shard of a stone.
A stone resembling a diamond crystal, with the inside having a sharp, red diamond as well.
He stare at it, noticing it now emitting any smoke at all.
He sigh to himself, reflecting about previous event and remembering how he got this piece in the first place. It reminded him how he fought a evil, giant, red man. It reminded him of that girl he met. It reminded him of saving her, along with others such as a two Transformer and a woman with a tail. It also reminded him of that man, laughing and seemingly not in any danger at all.
But what mostly reminded him is his heritage. His creators. Shockwave.
Now that he's all alone, these memories were the only ones that he value, despite knowing the context behind it. Sadness was the only thing that remotely made him feel anything. From just looking at the shard.
It made him realize how his own existence is merely lost in this huge world. Lost without direction. Lost without feelings. Lost without a purpose. And lost without anyone.
He lay on the ground, his attention still remain on the shard, as he close his eyes, while the snowing day continue through the night time, with the fire flame still remaining still and glowing in this darkness.
Walking through a dark, red hallway, a man was holding a folder with paper and notes in it.
He was clad with a red coat and cape. He has grey hair, indicating he's old. He has an eyepatch on his left eye, a beard, and has a weird, metal attachment that covers half of his torso.
He headed toward a slide door near the right. Entering it, before the door automatically closes itself.
The room he enter was long and tall, almost having the same height of the Empire State Building.
It was pitch black, with the ceiling emitting a long, rectangular white light to the ground. At the center was a long, rectangular white table, consisting nothing but buttons and mini screens on each side.
There, about nineteen men sat from both sides.
With one exception being at the front and back.
The back has a seat save for someone, but who is not exactly known.
However, there was one seat saved for him between two men.
The men in the room were either wearing red coats, suits, or uniforms, or are wearing black suits with a tie.
Each man distinguished one another. Some were human, others were not, based off the silhouette of their appearances.
Their faces were obscure by the light of the table not reaching above their body.
Because of this, it was hard for anyone to be seen. And it seems to be for the best too, as none who is not shown was in the front.
Way in the front.
In fact, there were no seats near it. The front was half empty except for one.
No one can't see it, but they feel it there. It presence alone was enough for anyone to acknowledge it, despite being hidden above a long, dark balcony, hidden away in the shadow where no light source beam to it.
Indeed, the mens were both nervous, confident, and at the same time, fear.
Not for the man who enter, though. He sat there as he looked over his files, as did the rest of them.
Then the figure at the front spoke in a breathing heavily and almost crackling voice spoke, "We can begin the session now, thanks to our dear general, Baron D. Grave arriving on time".
Most of the men in the room were generals, admirals, lieutenants, accountants, agents, saboteurs, assassins, aristocrats, politicians, prime ministers, and other higher ranks.
"Let us move to each of your progress", The voice said.
A white light showers down onto one of the seats at the right middle. The man was wearing a red uniform, has three scars running down his face and has white hair.
"Scorn Tennick, your report on the attempt of controlling the capital nation of Marlini oil supplies. What is your progress?"
Scorn spoke, "The president of the nation has agreed with our deal, Third One. They are trading every drop of their oil in return for our metal materials to their war".
"Excellent", The light was cut off, then came shower back down onto a different seat on the front left.
This man has yellow hair and has glass eyes. He wears a black suit with a pale flower tugged on it.
"Cossient Foggon, report on your stasis report on the whereabouts of agent Zindrift".
"Our search effort led to a conspiracy war between the politician's name, Teanmorreck and Vice President, Zondbond. His body was found laying at the capitol building of New Russia. We expect some sort of murder was done on him to cover up a potential sabotage on the political campaign of re-electing as senator".
"Good", the light was once again cut off and moved onto the two seat at the back left.
This man was also wearing a black suit as well. He has normal black hair and has a pale skin. Next to him was another pale man, this time wearing a red uniform and has brown hair.
"Gorvic and Syncite, report on your attempt of gaining 300,000,000,000 from the nation of Dvivia?"
Gorvic spoke, "We have made some progress, receiving the closest amount of 250,000,000 euros".
"250,000,00?" The voice tone goes from typical to their meetings into a slight confusion, which made them pause, awaiting for a response until it finally happened, "I expect our higher price would be even".
"Unfortunately sir, there was an invasion happening", Gorvic explained, "We have no idea it would occur to us that there will be an attack from Gjira".
"I expect those numbers to reach our expectations. And now you are making excuses?"
"No sir. Our weapons and artillery won't be enough to combat it".
"And yet, you decline a request for more reinforcement?"
This made Gorvic pause in silence, as did Syncite. They were both nervous, after being questioned further and further.
Even the other officers were a bit concerned and worried. Not caring for them, but what will happen next.
After a long silence, the leader speaks, "It seems to me none of you have managed to reach your progress, nor seem capable of leading your own forces. As a result, I have no choice, but….to seize your command of your own operation".
They sweat, they look intense, and are dripping with fear.
A fear by their own faults and mistakes.
None were ready to expect. Sure, a punishment, but their leader was unpredictable. Nobody can't see it, until he strikes.
Suddenly, Syncite was buzzing uncontrollably and without knowing it, he exploded.
Blood splatter everywhere, but nobody was startled. They seem relieved, except for Gorvic who stood there in shock.
"You are fortunate that I can see through your friend's attempt of acting neutral", The voice said, "This is an example to any spies, my friends".
The relief coming from Gorvic came to a stop when he continued, "Unfortunately, your failure to see through it lies and prevent it result in you being terminated as a higher rank. Due to this, I am releasing you from your duty. You may go now".
This saddened him. All his work and all his motivation to work for the organization was no more.
However, he is at least relieved he didn't die in that type.
He got up and walked out, as the session continued.
"Now then, back to our discussion", The voice move onto a different topic, "General Baron D. Grave has something to share. Baron?"
The Baron nodded, standing up as a white screen lower down until it stopped.
There, he stood beside it as the screen projected a sketch of what appear to be four stones, each being distinguished from one another.
"Gentlemen, I am here to present a new project that could benefit the organization", Baron explained, "I expect many of you to know of the planet, Sotoitia. Home to the natives tribe of Sotoitians, refer by their title, the Children's of Torrica".
"What's important about those natives, Baron?" One of the Generals asked.
"I'm getting there", Baron continues, "After some research and examination on the planet core itself, I discover a hidden power source beneath it. A lost artifact, if you will. One belonging long ago, thousands of years ago before the natives ever existed. I am conducting a solution of extracting that oddity, even if it my interference will bother with the natives".
"And how do you suppose you will do just that?" The voice asked.
"By anything possible. Diplomatic means, or by first. From my first attempt, the natives were resistance against our effort. Thus, I suppose a new option is available".
"Sounds intriguing...proceed with your plan, Baron".
"Thank you, my leader", Baron bow, as the screen descended back up, finishing his presentation.
"In concluding our session, I suggest all of you to continue your progress", voice said, "As for the Baron, I will give full control to him on his project. Baron, do not disappoint me".
"I won't", Baron promises, "I will ensure...this weapon will be yours"/
"Indeed….You may all leave".
"HAIL BLOOD BIRDS!" They all stood and saluted, as they all headed out from the room.
And that's wrap up the third chapter of this story. Stay tune for more!
