Hello Lovelies,

So sorry for the delay on updating, June is a complicated month for me with my mothers birthday, and Father's Day and mix in other unimportant but relevant events. I missed my own created deadline, I try my very best to at least upload every Saturday/Sunday. I have been working on a few other stories (preferably one-shots) so my attention has been derailed, but I still have a great passion in this story.

I do want to apologize for any grammatical errors and or punctuation, I try my best to re-read my stories and correct anything that doesn't flow correctly but I am only human (unfortunately), anyway...enjoy the next chapter.

Disclaimer: I do NOT own Harry Potter!

Warning: Not much, a brief mention of spanking, so brief you probably won't even notice it - a bare mention.

(Yes, the name of the title is entirely original - I know)

****THOMAS RIDDLE****

Severus stood in front of a door, on the other side stood his father. He didn't feel the magic pouring out of the room; due to the wards Lucius and Abraxas had placed. When they had arrived, the house shook, close to crumbling to the sheer magnitude of Thomas Riddle's anger. Anyone who tried speaking to him was thrown out, hexed, cursed, all but failed attempts. Taking a deep breath he passed through the wards, and almost feel to his knees - his father was very angry.

Building up his courage he opened the door, "Who ever it is, if it isn't someone bringing me Albus' head on a platter then. LEAVE." Thomas voice roared from the corner, Severus felt himself jump at the anger in his fathers voice and as much as he hated to admit it, he cowered recalling Voldemort.

Almost following Thomas orders, Severus hesitated but opened the door further; his father's magic lashing out like whips. Closing it behind him he found him standing his back towards him as he glared wordlessly through the window. Thomas swirled around his wand out his eyes bright mauve as he hissed, "I said LEAVE!" but as soon as the words left his mouth he caught sight of who entered and he dropped his wand as if it electrocuted him, "Severus" the anger that was in his fathers voice vanished, leaving only an agonized whisper.

Severus was relieved to see his fathers appearance had returned with his memories, as he watched his foot stepped over broken glass and he glanced down, now noticing the degree of the room. Books were flown around; chairs and tables were broken as scorch marks were left around the floor and walls. His father stood in the middle, the eye of the hurricane. Eyes narrowed as he saw blood drip down his fathers face, walking over he ignored the sob that spaced his fathers throat and tore at his shirt; using the piece of cloth he began to clean the cut his father surely did to himself.

"Severus" Thomas broken voice caused Severus heart to ache, he only shook his head.

"Stop" he said, "Don't, you have nothing to apologize for" he said, at his fathers shaky scoff Severus sighed raising his sleeve up to his elbow, the skin of his forearm clean and untouched were the mark had laid, "Its gone, like it never existed, and I'm going to believe it never did. You and Voldemort were never the same; he was a fabrication that sadly was created. What ever torture I went through was because of him, not you." He said, Thomas eyes closed and Severus sighed as he wiped the tears that escaped. "Please Dad, Harry and I need you," he said softly.

Thomas breathe hitch "Where's Harry, what did Albus do to Hadrian" he said his voice desperately searching Severus eyes.

Severus swallowed hard and placed his hand on either side of his father, "You may need to take a sit" he whispered, then scowled as he looked around the room, with a swipe of his hand he configured a pile of glass into a chair, and decided to remain standing, forcing his father down he bit his lips; but turned at his fathers sob.

"He's dead isn't he" he whispered his voice broken, "Albus killed him didn't he?" he asked as his breathing became harder as sobs overtook his fathers body.

"No!" he said horrified, Severus own heart breaking at the mere thought of his brother gone, "Albus was much more cruel" he added after he calmed his father, Thomas looked at him with confused but hopeful eyes, "Dad, I, I spoke with Hadrian and he wants you to know he doesn't hate you" at his fathers scoff he hesitated, he should have brought Harry over it would have been better if his father had seen him in person.

"Hadrian is Harry Potter isn't he?" Thomas asked after seeing the turmoil in his sons eyes, he knew he shouldn't have but he looked into his sons mind and stopped the moment he saw the two together his heart dissolving in his chest, "that's why he's not here" he whispered as tears now formed in his eyes once again his chest heavier than before.

"Dad-" Severus began.

"Don't" he gasped out as he hunched over, "I, I almost killed my son" he said heart-wrenching sobs came out of him, "Oh merlin, my baby boy, I casted the killing curse on my own child" he said his voice saturated with pain, "Oh Severus, I killed your friends, James, Lily" the magnitude of pain made him fall to his knees from his chair as his body shook with sobs.

"It wasn't you, Dad please" Severus began his voice now shaking with worry; if his father progressed he would surely hurt himself.

"The hell it wasn't!", Thomas roared and Severus instantly recoiled regretting it as his father face crumbled with agony,"You're afraid of me Severus, you want to deny it but the damage is there - if I raise my voice your reminded of the monster I was, if I raise my hand your going to be afraid I'll place you under an unforgivable, Albus achieved what he wanted, he won, he divided our family. My sons are afraid their father, no matter how much forgiveness there could be, the uncertainty would remain. You and Harry, will never be able to truly trust me" his voice defeated.

Severus sighed as he kneeled beside his father, "Not so long ago, I believed those exact words. I didn't know who Hadrian was at the moment and you should know, it was him who got our memories back." He said at his father confused but pain eyes he continued, "Hadrian's birthday is in a few days, he received his inheritance today, becoming a dark veela, uncovered the memories Albus hid" he explained.

"His birthday" Thomas whispered, "He turns 16, 11 years" he said softly.

Severus sighed as he took his fathers hand, "I confronted Albus, I was so angry and when I demanded he tell me where Hadrian was, Harry walked in. Remus and Sirius escorted me out, on Harry's orders." He said with a soft chuckle, Thomas blinked surprise, "Dad, Harry is furious, he knows what Albus did, he had the Minister on his side, I don't know what happened in that office, but Harry said Albus will never bother us again" he explained.

Thomas sighed, "Even if I want to believe those words Severus, Albus harm is done, he got what he wanted, a world divided on blood status, a family destroyed. He will pay his penitence but do it willingly, sit back and watch what he created. The wizarding world will not return to normal Severus, most may be happy and forgive my sins as Voldemort but others wont believe that I could have been so easily and tragically cursed into that life, they will fight for my arrest. Not that they are at fault, thousands lost their loved ones because of my reign of terror. Someone has to pay for that," he said darkly.

Severus growled angrily, "And you believe you should be held accountable for them, for the lives you took because of Albus Dumbledore's plan. You were basically under an imperious, you were not yourself, you would have never committed those killings or raids if you were" he said frustrated.

Thomas glanced at his son sadly, "Severus, that may be true but Albus's conviction will only quench some of the anger, they may even send mail of condolences at first but the moment I'm out on the street, the moment they see me. They will be reminded of their family, of their husbands, wives, mothers, fathers, sons, daughters and they will begin to hate that I get to live, get to be with my family when they lost theirs, even if it wasn't my fault. They will fight, it was my wand, and it was my power. It may not have been my mind, or sanity but eventually their anger will overcome any memory they had of me as being their friend or co-worker." He said softly, "Lets not begin with my followers" he said bitterly.

"Don't" Severus said coldly, "I understand what you are insinuating, but it will not come to that. We will leave before it does, London surely doesn't need us," he said as he rubbed his face tiredly.

"I wont force you nor Harry to leave behind your life" Thomas said shaking his head, "For starters you are a grown man Severus, you have your husbands to consider and Harry does not need me in his. I will only bring complications, problems, and I'm sure he's had enough of them considering his life" he said as he stared at his hands, Severus took in his fathers shaking shoulders and sighed.

Severus sighed, "Dad" he began softly but Thomas raised a hand.

"I know that he does not hate me Severus, I would be thrilled if I didn't know the reason why. Harry's memories much like ours are fighting with his olds ones, with his past life. The emotions of loving, and caring for me are winning. Once he gets a good night sleep and his mind begins to settle as the empty places are filled the emotions will calm themselves and then will his true ones surface. His heart will be divided into two pieces, loving the man that was once his father, and loathing the man that could have been his demise." He murmured his voice softening.

"You always did assume the worse" a voice interrupted their disagreement, Severus turned to and blinked in surprise as he stared at the man that was his godfather, yes Lucius had told him that Abraxas was alive but seeing it for his eyes was surprising. His breath came out hard, as he realized he hadn't known how much the mans disappearance bothered him. "You make quite a mess, I think the last time you made a spectacle of an office was the night you discovered Cecilia's infidelity and then learned she fled the country with her late affair" he said dryly.

Thomas frowned at the mention of his late wife, the nerve of the woman, leaving behind a 9 month old child, and her teenage son because she felt that she was due her youth again. Cecilia had owled him, a few months after her disappearance, he had involved the Ministry looking for her, he had expected after a month of searching they were going to find a body. Consoling his devastated sons that their Mother would return soon. Cecilia had explained that after Hadrian's birth she had fallen out of love for Thomas and that the children were becoming a nuisance, she had tiredly dealt with Severus upbringing and Hogwarts years she just couldn't imagine having to go through it again. So she had left with the man she had began seeing. The woman even dared to ask from some galleons. Abraxas had found him, shortly after receiving the letter destroying his office, Severus had called in a panic to his godfather after hearing hexes and curses being thrown. When his long-term friend had calmed him down, he had shown him the letter, Abraxas had been furious; after all, Cecilia had been his adopted sister.

Was, being a better term, Cecilia Nee Malfoy –after Thomas immediately divorced her- is still very much alive, but her status in the Malfoy line was terminated for her disgrace departure. Leaving behind a faithful husband and a child younger than one was considered dishonorable and merited an immediate disowning, that was exactly what Luciana and Azariah – Cecilia and Abraxas parents – did. Cecilia had shown up, of course the moment an owl had appeared to her location of her accounts being terminated and her name being taken off the Malfoy line.

She had made a show; that it was her life if she decided to leave Thomas and the boys but her parent weren't having any of it, escorted her off the property. Thomas had received hundreds of howlers from her, but he had promptly ignore them because his anger towards her, and his indifference wouldn't matter, he had a son that needed consoling, his mother had left, and he didn't understand why. Hadrian was young, he wouldn't feel the pain of abandonment, Thomas would make sure it.

Severus scowled at his mothers name, his bitterness towards the woman surely didn't vanish with his memories gone, but he glanced at his father who had the same face of anger, and disgust. Before the emotions manifested - Abraxas walked forward as his hand went up to take Thomas face his thumb tracing over a red angry line that Severus had stopped from bleeding a few moments before.

"How did this happen?" Abraxas voice was indifferent but his eyes hard.

As if remembering his place with Abraxas, Thomas frowned as embarrassment reached his eyes as he glanced around the totaled room, "I may have misguided a curse, when the glass broke; a shard flew towards me" Thomas explained.

"So this was self-inflicted" Abraxas stated now the coldness reaching his tone, Severus grimaced slightly, he remembered that tone well - despite his father being in his life, he grew up with Lucius and spent summer vacations and holidays at Malfoy Manor, his godfather wasn't known to not put you in your place when misbehaving occurred.

Thomas sputtered, "Not entirely, I didn't plan for the glass to break. I meant to hit the wall beside it and miscalculated in my rage, it was entirely accidental" he defended.

"Nonetheless, you temper resulted in self harm" Abraxas replied his lips in a tight line, "Do you have any idea, where I was come this morning? I was eating on a porch, just outside of Scotland. Albus had completely altered my mind - making me believe I had been a squib, of course without actually eliminating my magic. When my memories were returned, I almost splinched myself - I had been consumed with so much grief and anger. I had apparated on the spot; not realizing my magic had been dormant for past a decade. I didn't pay much thought on it, what mattered was getting to my son, who believed for me to be dead" he whispered, "Lucius reaction upon seeing me, made me realize, if I had hurt myself in my sudden rage. Lucius would have been implicated," he said.

Thomas sighed, "Abraxas, its not the same" he said softly.

Abraxas sighed sadly, "Its not, I would never begin to comprehend what is going through that mind of yours. I lived a peaceful life as a squib; I did not torture, or go after my son. I did not live in a life of terror; I was not apart of it. All I knew of this world - of the world you were forced to endure was the Daily Prophet that came to my doorstep. No, Thomas it is not the same, what is the same is that we are fathers, and that we have to correct a mistake that was forced upon us. Losing our control will not benefit us" he said his voice firm.

Thomas sighed, as he glanced at Severus who was now trying his best to avoid their conversation and knew his friend was right, if the shard of glass had been closer to his face, cut deeper into his skin. The pain his sons were feeling would have been doubled.

"I understand Abraxas" he nodded.

The man nodded, "Good, because if you can't keep your temper controlled I'll do it for you" he said his tone ending the argument, as he turned not missing the reddening on Thomas skin, "Severus, my boy its very good to see you" he said warmly, his firm voice long gone as he took his grandson into an inviting hug.

Thomas suddenly felt a sudden jealously run through him; through all his ranting and anger towards Albus he had forgotten what was important. The fact that his son was standing in front of him, he hadn't truly looked at Severus, the boy, now man was everything a parent wanted. Confident, powerful and he hadn't even acknowledged him, he had been so bent with rage, Severus may have needed the comfort and he hadn't given it. What kind of father was he?

Severus pulled away from his godfather just in time to notice the feat of emotions passing through his fathers face, envy, anger, sadness, guilt, and pain. Sighing he wondered what now the problem could be, and if he would ever be able to see the smile on his fathers face. He felt a tug and he looked at Abraxas who had a knowing look, "Have you hugged him?" he asked, realization dawned on him, his father was feeling what he felt moments before he left Hogwarts.

With no hesitation, he closed the space between him and his father and took the man in a hug, Thomas had been startled but his fathers strong arms quickly wrapped around him and he buried his face in the mans chest, welcoming the safety that engulfed him. He could feel his fathers shaking but the sobs were silent and Severus knew, no matter how much he convinced him that he was not at fault. Doubt would remain, and guilt will win. Thomas needed to let out his grief.
