~Her's, Mine Part II: Crush~

Volterra, Italy

June, 1993

The sound of fists connecting with marble flesh reverberated through the halls of the Volturi Castle.

Many of the guards winced as a particularly painful cry reached their ears. They remembered their excruciating time in the training room. It was not something they would volunteer to undergo again.

Jane looked on from the corner as Felix and Demetri pummeled Eden into the ground for the sixth week in a row. Her eyes were black and her hands clinched by her sides as her mate recieved the beating of a lifetime. She looked completely helpless as she lie on the floor.

"Get up. This is not a punishment. This is training," Felix chuckled, picking the girl up by her shirt. She winced, feeling the cracks in her skin closing.

"You're not doing horribly, but never put your hands down. That leaves your face unguarded. And don't fight like a newborn. Do not shoot for a takedown first thing. That is what you're expected to do. Be unpredictable," Demetri said kindly. Eden nodded, an eager smile twitching at her lips.

Jane rolled her eyes fondly at her mate. The only reason she hadn't tortured her friends over the past month was because Eden enjoyed this. She wanted to be a fighter, and this was the only way to achieve that. Demetri and Felix could sense her willingness to learn, and they enjoyed having an enthusiastic student for once.

"You and Demetri are going to spar, and I'm going to watch. I want to see what we've taught you so far, little one. Remember, you're stronger than us. Do as much damage as you can to Dem's pretty face," Felix instructed, smirking.

Eden and Demetri circled each other slowly, both paying close attention to the other. Jane watched as the two collided. The sound was enough to make her wince. It was like two massive boulders smashing against one another.

In the beginning, Eden was having a hard time with Demetri's speed. The tracker threw blows quickly in the blink of an eye with deadly accuracy and precision. Many of them connected, but she was getting much better at dodging his punches. At one time, she would have been hit by them all.

This gave her confidence and soon she was returning his punches with blows of her own.

The first time Eden landed a jab, she was so surprised that she nearly caught one in the face.

She dodged it with a grin and reminded herself to keep her head in the game. She wanted to show her instructors that she was learning. More than anything, she wanted to show her mate she was a strong and capable protector.

Jane's brows shot into her hairline as Eden spun around, landing a punishing, spinning backfist. The blow was so powerful that Demetri flew across the room and hit the back wall. Stone fragments rained on him as he slid down it.

Demetri sat stunned, holding the spiderweb cracks on the side of his face. All three stared at Eden in shocked silence.

"Where did you learn that," Felix asked incredulously. Eden blinked heavily, thinking back to her blurry human life.

"I took Taekwondo when I was younger," she said, almost as if it were a question. Fond memories came back slowly and she smiled. She had enjoyed it.

"Well done. That explains why you nearly knocked Demetri's head off his body," Felix laughed, ignoring his friend's annoyed glare.

"Try to remember everything you can from your training. If you can remember it and utilize it, you'll be on missions in no time."

Eden smiled widely at Jane and she felt her own face mimicking it. She was beyond proud of her young mate's progress, not to mention her unwavering determination. Not once did she give up or lose confidence, and that allowed her best one their most valued fighters.

Most of the vampires she witnessed being trained never managed to do what the newborn just did. That fact made her smirk. With more training, her Eden was going to be formidable.

When Felix and Demetri left the room, Jane grabbed the girl and pulled her into a bruising kiss. The type of kiss that made Eden feel like she was floating. She returned it eagerly, her body aching to take her right then and there.

"How about I reward you with a nice meal and some alone time, my warrior? I think you've earned it." Jane purred, nipping at her sensitive neck.

Eden's newborn brain short-circuited, and all she could do was nod dumbly. Jane smirked, tugging her entranced mate out of the room.

"Let's not waste any time."

If hitting people in the face got her laid, Eden would happily beat the shit out of her coven mates every day.

Meadowdale Beach, Alaska

July, 1993

After hours of surfing the sun was beginning to set, causing the temperature to plummet.

Raven and Victoria tugged their boards back to the small house situated on the edge of the beach.

When Tanya learned of the teen's affinity for the ocean and Meadowdale Beach itself, she thought it would be the perfect graduation present from the entire family. She bought a massive portion of the property and the family came together to build her a cozy cabin.

At first, Raven was hesitant to accept such an expensive gift. It took her years to come to terms with her family spending money on her when she first began living with them. She came from a place of poverty and struggle. Even with Victoria, they did not indulge in materialism.

However, after some convincing, she accepted it graciously. Thoughts of alone time with her mate inevitably made her humble attitude falter. All she really wanted was to have some privacy with the woman she adored before they went to college.

After months of Rosalie trying to convince them to go to college with her, Raven finally said yes. Victoria didn't really have a choice in the matter, but she wasn't angry about it. She was intrigued by the prospect of higher learning, and...sharing a dorm with her mate.

Raven decided that before she and Victoria went off to college in August, she wanted to spend a few weeks in the cabin with her. Although the reason she gave her mate was flimsy at best, her motive was simple.

She wanted to get her alone.

"How are you liking your home so far," Victoria asked, watching her gather her clothes for a shower.

"It's everything I imagined my home would be. Hard wood flooring. Marble countertops in the kitchen. An open floor plan," Raven gushed, grinning from ear to ear.

Victoria rolled her eyes. "You've been spending too much time with Esme and Rose."

"I wasn't finished."

The redhead arched a brow at the girl's sudden change of tone. The gleeful smile was gone and replaced by a mischievous smirk.

She watched as Raven unzipped her wetsuit and peeled it off her body slowly, revealing smooth caramel skin and a well toned body. The muscles in her arms and abdomen flexed deliciously as she struggled to get the suit off. She silently praised the results of surfing and kickboxing.

"However, I learned a long time ago that a home isn't a building. It's the people in it," Raven said casually, throwing her wetsuit through the sliding door and onto the patio.

"I love being with my family, but...sometimes I want to be alone."

Victoria's black eyes traced over the curves of her body as she inched closer. Her bikini was dainty and red, the vampire's favorite color.

She leaned back onto the bed, supporting herself with her arms. She swallowed back a mouthful of venom when hands found her bare thighs. Her mate leaned in close, those mesmerizing hazel eyes never left her own.

"Alone with you. Does that make sense?" Raven whispered innocently, pressing a soft kiss to her lips.

Before Victoria could respond, she pulled away. The vampire started to complain, but her human was already heading into the bathroom to take a shower, laughing all the way.

Victoria growled in frustration.

Ever since their encounter in the forest many months ago, they agreed to make sure things didn't go that far again.

A destroyed tree was evidence that Victoria didn't have enough control to go farther than a kiss. Raven was disappointed, but she agreed not to push her too far while she worked on her control.

After many heated make out sessions, Victoria felt she had made very good progress, but her mate still highly enjoyed taunting her.

Later that night, Raven and Victoria bantered as they worked together to cook dinner.

Bachata music played softly in the background, and every now and again Raven would break out into a little dance, causing the vampire to laugh.

Victoria reveled in her alone time with her mate.

She was unable to keep a smile off her face for very long. She never realized just how funny and playful Raven was. She was much more affectionate as well, stealing kisses any chance she got. They both felt they could stay there forever, content and satisfied with one another's presence.

When Raven grabbed the knife to begin dicing garlic cloves, Victoria felt uneasy. Sensing her discomfort, the teen rolled her eyes.

"It's fine. I'll put on the cutting glove," she said as if it weren't a big deal.

To Victoria, it was impossible for Raven to cut herself with the clunky chain mail glove on. She relaxed considerably and went back to seasoning the foul smelling steak she was about to cook. She couldn't understand how dead cow flesh could be appetizing to humans.

"What the hell," Raven growled, throwing down the knife as if it burned her.

"I'm fine. It's just a small-"

Before she could remove the useless glove, it was already gone. Her bleeding hand was being held firmly as black eyes watched a small drop of blood drip down her thumb. She abruptly ceased breathing as her vampire brought the hand closer to her mouth.

"Um, Victoria..."

Raven's sentence trailed off as she enveloped the bleeding appendage into her cool mouth. Wide eyes watched, enraptured, as her mate slowly licked the aromatic blood off of her finger.

A shiver ran down her spine due to the oddly pleasurable sensation. She exhaled shakily and Victoria locked eyes with her as she gently lathed the injured finger with her tongue. The human felt heat pooling between her thighs.

When the blood was gone and her venom had closed the wound, Victoria lowered the hand from her mouth, but did not let go. Neither of them broke eye contact. Both, unwilling to ruin the intimate, spellbinding moment.

As if they had merged into one being, they moved forward with single-minded focus.

Warm lips clashed hard against Victoria's cool ones, and Raven's dinner was completely forgotten.

They grasped one another, caressing and pulling each other closer as they fought for dominance over the kiss. There was an urgency, a passion, to this kiss that was different than any other kiss they shared so far.

It was primal and raw.

Hands gripped Victoria's curly mane and pulled her head back, making her moan. Raven attacked her neck with fervor, teeth biting and mouth sucking with abandon. The knowledge that she could not hurt her partner allowed her to use as much force as she desired.

Victoria gripped the marble countertop as she allowed Raven to push her up against it. She reminded herself to stay present. She repeated it like a mantra as animalistic instincts ran rampant in her mind. The sensations throughout her body were making it hard to remember anything at all.

Suddenly, Raven stopped, and Victoria thought this was another instance of her teasing. She didn't know if she could handle it this time.

"The bed," Raven said hoarsely, tugging her along.

Once inside the room, Victoria felt apprehensive. She wanted this, but she didn't know if they were rushing it. Uncertainty permeated her thoughts as she watched her mate unbutton her flannel frantically. Was Raven even ready to take this step with her?

She grabbed the girl's hands.

"Wait," Victoria said shakily. Lidded, hazel eyes stared into flint orbs intensely.

"I want this, but I need to know that you're ready."

Raven caressed the vampire's face lovingly, her breathing deep and shaky. She knew exactly what she wanted. She wanted to feel Victoria. She wanted to be touched by her. She couldn't remember wanting anything more. The desire burned hot inside her like a branding iron.

"I want you to touch me, Victoria. If you can handle that...if you think it's safe," she whispered, watching the doubt in the vampire's eyes turn into pure desire.

"I can definitely handle that."

Victoria let her hands go and watched Raven drop her shirt to the ground. Slowly, teasingly she removed her black, lace bra revealing beautiful, perky breasts that made her mouth water. Soon, she stood completely naked in front of the speechless vampire.

The look of wonder on Victoria's face made Raven feel loved and desired in way she never felt before. She shivered as cool fingers trailed from between her breasts to just above her waistline.

"You are...everything, Raven," she murmured, dark eyes devouring her flawless mate.

In a matter of seconds, she had her on the bed, straddling her. Crimson curls fell like a curtain around their faces as they kissed deeply. Victoria's chest rumbled with a pleased growl as her mate submitted to her.

Raven gasped as hands cupped and kneeded her sensitive breasts. Hips rolled sensually against her own, and the ache between her thighs was almost painful.

"I love you so much," Victoria whispered against her lips.

Before Raven could profess her undying love, deft fingers found the slick folds between her legs.

"Oh my-"

She shut her eyes tightly as pleasure exploded through her body. Her hands grasped the vampire as she gasped for air. Those fingers moved slowly, gently teasing her until her hips were moving on their own. She found it difficult to keep her eyes open, or even breathe.

"Yeah, like that," Raven moaned harshly, as those fingers sped up. She bit her lip, failing to keep breathless gasps from escaping.

Victoria watched in awe as her mate lost herself in the pleasure she was providing her. Black eyes locked with hazel brown, encouraging her to revel in the ecstasy. The beautiful noises she made drove the vampire to go faster.

She felt pride in her control and her ability to please her. Her animalistic instincts were there, but she was more concerned about making her mate feel good. The beast within was not rebelling. It also wanted to see it's mate achieve the greatest levels of pleasure.

When Victoria abruptly stopped, Raven thought she might burst into tears, but she quickly realized what was happening. Her face blushed when saw the vampire's face between her legs.

"May I," Victoria purred, kissing her inner thighs and staring up at her with pitch black eyes.

She couldn't remember seeing her so primal, yet she was in complete control. It was highly arousing. Feeling those soft lips on her sensitive skin turned her on too, but she was a bit apprehensive.

"I've never...," Raven trailed off, blushing.

Victoria was surprised, but she didn't allow it to show. She had assumed her human was well versed in relations between women, but was delighted to know that she would be her first.

"If you want me to, I will, but don't feel pressured," she reassured her, backing away.

Hot hands grabbed her arm, keeping her in place. The contact caused a pleasant, tingling sensation on her skin. Hypnotizing eyes stared into her own desperately, pleading. Victoria's mind grew cloudy with lust. In that moment, she would have done anything Raven said.

"Please, I want you."

Fingers wound into crimson locks and she purred deeply. Raven bit her lip as cool hands pinned her thighs to the bed, effectively making it impossible for her to move. The thought made her throb even more. She loved being at the absolute mercy of her strong mate.

Soft lips trailed up her inner thighs until Raven could feel cold breath wafting over her. She gripped Victoria's hair tightly as her tongue reached out to tease her most sensitive place. Her spine arched off the bed.

"O-Oh wow," she gasped, trying and failing to pull her closer. She could feel the vampire smiling.

Victoria wanted to tease her until she begged to cum. She wanted to torture her and give her a taste of her own medicine, but she couldn't contain her eagerness any longer.

A strangled moan erupted from Raven's throat as Victoria's talented mouth began devouring her. Her fingernails dug into the vampire's shoulders and gripped her hair as if she were trying to keep herself from floating away. The pleasure was so intense that she couldn't think.

Victoria sucked and licked, reveling in her mate's deep moans and shaky gasps. Soon, Raven was whimpering, her back contorting and arching off the bed. She held her firmly in place and did not let up one bit, even though she ached to touch herself too.

"Please don't stop. So fucking good," she whispered, her eyes watering. She didn't know something could feel this amazing.

They locked eyes, and Raven bit her lip hard. She knew she was close. She could feel the pressure building, and the pleasure gaining intensity. She gathered Victoria's hair into her hand, the other gripping the back of her head to keep her in place.

"Yes, you're gonna make me-," Raven gasped sharply. She stared into the fathomless eyes of her mate as she worked her over masterfully.

Victoria held Raven's intense gaze. Her breathing stuttered and her hips jerked violently. A tear rolled down her cheek as she begged her not to stop over and over again like she was chanting a sacred mantra.

Until, with a sharp gasp, hazel eyes rolled into the back of her head and her back arched upward.

Waves of ecstasy washed over her, and she was totally lost in an ocean of pleasure.

Victoria continued licking gently as Raven rode out her intense orgasm. Her body shivered hard and her legs wrapped around the vampire's head as she sucked. She didn't want it to end now that she had a taste of her delicious mate. She wanted to keep going until she begged her to stop.

"Come here," Raven mumbled, tugging at her arm weakly.

Victoria obeyed, allowing herself to be pulled into a deep kiss. Raven's hands were everywhere as they wandered beneath her shirt and caressed her thighs. She growled quietly as a hot hand stroked her through her shorts. She grabbed them gently, chuckling.

"Don't worry about me. Your pleasure brings me satisfaction," Victoria said, smiling softly at her mate. Meaning, she didn't trust herself not to hurt her. Raven pouted, but she understood.

Her face blushed as a memory of her mate's mane of bloodstained hair bobbing between her legs came to mind. Her body flushed with desire and she bit her lip.

"So, that thing you did with your tongue..."

"You want more already, huh," she asked, thoroughly surprised. Raven nodded shyly, causing her to smirk.

Victoria carefully leaned down to nibble on her neck. Raven hummed, nails digging into her pale thighs. Just like that, her hips were moving again.

That fire in her stomach reappeared with a vengeance, and she needed her mate to extinguish it.

"You're absolutely insatiable. I'm beginning to believe you're a succubus," Victoria purred against her ear. The human trembled against her.

"How will I survive sharing a room with you, my little demon?"

Raven shivered as cool, agile fingers stroked her slowly. "I think you'll manage."

British Columbia University, Canada

October, 1993

The obnoxious sound of grunge rock blared in the halls as Raven made her way to her dorm room. The smell of marijuana was thick, which reminded her of Friday nights at Eden's house.

Victoria and Raven were having the time of their lives at college. Emmett and Rosalie were here with them, making it that much more fun. She had more independence than ever, as Victoria and the Cullens had slightly different schedules. This gave her about two hours of alone time each day between her classes.

It was nice, but it had it's downsides.

"Hey! Raven, right?" an unfamiliar, deep voice called to her from behind.

Raven turned around, sighing heavily. She wished Victoria was here.

"That would be me."

Ever since she started school at BCU, she could barely walk around campus without a male student coming up to her. Rosalie and Victoria had the same problem, as expected, but she didn't think she would get the same response.

It was actually extremely weird, and they didn't know what to think about it. Victoria and Rosalie often found Raven being asked on a date by a random student any time they found her in the halls. It was becoming increasingly tiresome for the teen, but she didn't look into it too deeply.

The young man couldn't have been more then nineteen. She was shocked as she realized she had to crane her neck to look into his oddly colored eyes. He was almost Emmett's height, but not nearly as muscular.

He had slightly tanned, white skin. His dark hair was curly and shaggy, hanging down into his eyes. He had a very sharp jawline and his smile was inviting. Overall, he was nothing like the hulking jock types she was used to being harassed by. It made her feel a lot less uncomfortable.

"I'm Wyatt Cohen. We have Trigonometry together," he said, gray eyes looking down shyly.

"Nice to meet you, Wyatt. Cool eyes," Raven replied casually. Her lips pulled into a smirk when she spotted Victoria and Rosalie coming down the hall behind him.

Wyatt blushed crimson red at the compliment. "Um, thank you. It runs in the family."

"Was there something you wanted to talk to me about?"

"Yes, actually. I was wondering if we could study together. Like, as friends." Wyatt cringed, realizing how strange he sounded.

"I mean, I suck at Trig and Mrs. Bane is always praising your work. I would pay you for your help."

Raven smiled and patted him on the arm. He smiled back shyly, feeling as though he could float away any moment. Those mesmerizing, hazel eyes made him forget how to breathe.

"I'm so sorry, Wyatt. I already have a study group, but I hope to see you around. Good luck," she said apologetically. He frowned and watched her walk away with two beautiful, but extremely pale women.

Wyatt facepalmed. "God, I suck at this."

Raven rolled her eyes as Victoria and Rosalie teased her about her many suitors. It wasn't like she wanted them. She barely even payed attention to anybody who wasn't a vampire.

"That boy obviously has a crush on you, but at least he isn't a dick about it. I feel a bit bad for him if he wasn't lying about Trig. It can be quite difficult," Rosalie said in a rare moment of sympathy for humans.

"I don't buy it," Victoria chimed in. Raven laughed, receiving a glare.

"Don't laugh, you're the one that keeps luring in weirdos."

"Vic, I'm not luring anyone in. I'm obviously the gayest girl they've ever seen. I wear nothing but flannel shirts and ripped jeans, for god's sake," Raven said incredulously, gesturing to her outfit.

They laughed because it was true. Victoria and Rosalie believed her to be exceptionally beautiful for a human, but she did dress like a lumberjack or the lead singer of a grunge band.

"I think you have a dangerous aura. Growing up around vampires must have rubbed off on you. A lot of men love strong, intimidating women," Rosalie offered wistfully.

Raven smirked as they stopped at her door.

"I don't know about that, but Victoria is definitely going to rub off on me tonight. See you later, Rosie!"

They laughed as the blonde walked away making a gagging noise.

Later that week, while leaving Trigonometry, Raven noticed Wyatt being pulled aside by the professor. It didn't look like he was being commended for his good work.

She watched his face fall as the professor told him his grades weren't showing any promise. He looked like a kicked puppy. Her kind heart made her feel guilty for rejecting his plea for a tutor.

Raven knew Victoria would be very annoyed with her, but she felt like she needed to help him.

When Wyatt walked out of the class, she was waiting by the door for him. His eyes widened comically when he saw her and he stuttered a greeting. She held back a laugh.

"So, you're flunking Trig pretty bad," Raven said, gesturing for him to walk with her.

"Yep. Mrs. Bane was just telling me that if I don't show any promise within the next month, she's going to recommend I be dropped from her class," Wyatt explained. He looked completely defeated and she felt for him.

Raven sighed. "Look, I know I said I already have a study group, but it looks like you need my help way more than they do. I'll tutor you, free of charge."

Wyatt stopped abruptly, looking at her in shock. "You're serious? You would do that?"

She couldn't help but laugh at the look on his face. He acted as if she were too good to help him. As if she were one of those uptight, sorority girls that would undoubtedly order the football players to throw him into the dumpster if he asked for their help.

"I'm free during the schoolweek, from eleven to one in the afternoon. We have to be done by one though. My roommate hates strangers," Raven said casually, grabbing his massive hand to write down her building and room number.

"Is that good for you?"

He froze as a strange, tingling sensation traveled up his arm. The only word he could use to describe it was warmth. He hadn't ever felt anything like it before. He felt like something was trapped in his throat. All he could do was nod as intense, hazel eyes stared him down with an ebony brow arched in question.

"Cool. See ya tomorrow."

Wyatt fist pumped the air, feeling like he just won the lottery. "Fuck yes!"

He watched her leave, unable to keep himself from noticing the way her hips swayed when she walked. His face blushed and he tried to shake the lustful thoughts away in vain.

There was something about her that lured him in.

Ever since he saw her for the first time, he couldn't stop thinking about her. He remembered it like it was yesterday.

Raven walked into class early, like he often did, and sat down in the row before his. She sat her books down in the seat next to her and put on a pair of glasses. He silently wondered if she was farsighted or nearsighted.

She had smooth, caramel skin that made him wonder what race she was. She looked African American but then again she looked Hispanic. He figured she could be both.

Her hair was extremely thick and curly, falling to the middle of her back. He smiled despite himself when he saw her pretty face and her cute nose. Her jawline was strong, giving her a rather intimidating, but sexy look. There was a faint, crescent shaped scar on her right temple that added to that effect.

He found himself wondering what caused it.

Plump, pink lips smiled around the sucker in her mouth and he noticed she was listening to music. He was so distracted by her face, he hadn't seen her massive headphones. He flushed when she slowly pulled the sucker out, only to put it in the side of her mouth.

Raven gathered her hair to tie it into a bun, and he noticed an angry, purplish red hickey on her neck. He frowned deeply, wondering which jock did it. Slowly, he became annoyed.

Wyatt remembered staring so hard that she eventually turned to look at him with fathomless, hazel brown eyes. They reminded him of the night sky, with their gold and silver flecks.

The first time he looked into them, he felt something inside him shift and he hadn't been the same since.

He couldn't stop thinking about her.

Her eyes were so intense, so alluring, he couldn't look away. It was as if she were looking past the person he portrayed on the outside, and into his very soul. It felt like she was flaying him alive, laying bare what was hidden beneath all of his facades. He was convinced that she saw the insecure, anxious boy that he tried to erase.

It should have scared him, but it did the complete opposite. It drew him in like a moth to a flame.

Wyatt wanted to know her middle name, her favorite color, and her least favorite food. He wanted to be the one to walk her to and from class. He wanted to hold her hand and kiss her the way he imagined her boyfriend kissing her.

In that moment, Wyatt Cohen wanted everything that was Raven Hastings.
