A/N: Fair warning, there's plenty of harsh and insensitive language ahead in this chapter. If you're familiar with Black Lagoon, then you know that's just a part of the series. Felt a warning was needed for those who might not be aware of that fact.
Chapter Five: A Maid & Feng Shui
"Ice this bitch!" One of the cartel members yelled and they opened fire on Roberta.
The maid ran to the side and cartwheeled, dodging gunfire with ease. Then she opened the umbrella and hid behind it with complete ease and calm. Bullets from the cartel weapons merely bounced off it or caused minor damage. The damn thing was also nearly bulletproof on top having a shotgun built into it. Then the firing stopped as the cartel weapons ran out of ammo for the moment. Ever so calmly Roberta poked her head out from behind the umbrella. Revealing a pair of cold, emotionless, almost lifeless eyes.
"Cover, now!" Junsu yelled more to himself and the lagoon crew. He saw those eyes and knew right away what was coming next. The whole lot of them, Garcia included. Managed to make it under one of the large tables just as the maid went on her counterattack.
Junsu drew shadow runner and flipped the safety off; he was going to be ready to use it if necessary. Squished against Revy and Garcia, he watched the carnage play out. As the maid tore apart the cartel members with absolute ease. There was something rather mesmerizing about it all. In a dark and morbid sort of way.
Roberta quickly dispatched two enemies with a blast of a shotgun. Another tried to charge her she with indifference pointed her weapon at him. He immediately stopped and dropped his weapon hoping it would grant him mercy. She answered by blowing a hole through his chest without a second thought. Others fired at her, and she simply raised her briefcase to easily soak up the damage. The cartel members freaked out as they realized the briefcase. Was also apparently customized like the shotgun umbrella. Someone, apparently the bar owner was yelling up a storm about all the damages. No one cared to listen to him.
"Somehow we managed to walk into the middle of a shootout," Dutch stated calmly. As he and the others were still tucked under the table. This was far from the first time he had been in such a situation. "Though, a positive is that we can take advantage of this. To make a way out of here without anyone noticing us.
"Where the hell are we supposed to go?" Rock asked.
"We could hit up one of the beaches better suited for fishing, and wait for all of this to blow over? I really don't feel like hanging around and catching a bullet in my back as I drink." Dutch replied.
"Can you tell me already if I can shoot or not?" Revy asked her patience running thin. As she had both of her guns drawn and ready.
"Good question, I vote for no." Benny cut in quickly.
"Right then, we'll just leave kid here then," Dutch stated.
"But he's worth something Dutch."
Dutch ignored Revy and turned his attention to Junsu. "Kid, once we get out of here. As far as I'm concerned you can go ahead and bail. I won't hold it against you, and I doubt Balalaika will either. This job has gotten way wilder than you're probably being paid for."
The violet-eyed teen gave it some thought before scowling a bit. "I appreciate the offer for an out Dutch. However, even if you and Balalaika are so understanding. I highly doubt the murder maid nine-thousand over there would be. Plus, I hate going back on my word once I've given it. I'm in this for the long haul with the rest of you."
"For a twink-looking mother fucker. You got a bigger set of balls than either Rock or Benny it seems." Revy replied in her usual gruff manner.
"Thank you? I think?"
Attention was momentarily drawn back to the shootout going on. The bar was now unrecognizable at this point. With so much of the place wrecked, not to mention all bodies were steadily piling up. The cartel members left had retreated to the outside front of the place using the windows and entrance as their current position.
"Well shit," Dutch grouched "We got so caught up on talking our main escape is lost to us. This kid is not worth it anymore, let's just leave him and go."
"But we can't just do that." Rock tried to interject.
"We got no choice." Revy cut in sounding done with the whole situation. "Fuck it, let's just go." The gunslinger finished saying as she started crawling towards the back of the place.
"Garcia," Rock said gaining the Lovelace heir's attention. "I want you to stay here and don't move. Once the shooting stops, reunite with your maid and return to Venezuela."
Garcia looked at Rock with an expression of uncertainty. "I just… I just never thought Roberta… I never thought Roberta had in her to kill in any capacity. This's so unlike the person I've always known."
"Hey Garcia," Junsu cut in. "I know that this's a lot to take in all at once. Here's a life lesson you should learn. Even the nicest person has a dark side in some compacity to them. What you're seeing is simply your maids' dark side. That doesn't mean the nice side of her you've always known isn't genuine. In fact, it's probably as genuine as it comes, but so is this dark side of her. This's just the first time she's ever had to show it off to you is all."
"Rock, Junsu, let's go!" Dutch called out as the rest of the others began crawling towards the back.
Revy was leading them to the back, as she started making it past the bar, she noticed Bao sitting in cover within it. He was looking rather annoyed by his bar getting shot up again, no surprise. Once his eyes fell on the gunslinger, his annoyance turned into pissed-off fury.
"Revy, you bitch!" Bao raged at her. "How many times are you and your friends going to tear apart my bar!?"
Revy for her part glared angrily back. "They're not my friends so don't try to pin this on me, you dumbass!" She snarled in return. Unfortunately, the gunfire ceased as she did that. So everyone heard her loud and clear. "It's like they were waiting for me to open my mouth." Revy mouthed to herself in aggravation.
"Lagoon Company, why the fuck are you guys here!?" One of the cartel members hiding behind the entrance yelled out. "What the fuck happened to that package you were supposed to deliver to us?"
"Alright, hold on Abrego," Dutch said calmly.
"Why the fuck is the package here!?" Abrego called out angrily as he spotted Garcia. "You'd better not be going back on our contract!?"
"Don't be jumping to conclusions Abrego!"
"Master Garcia, I wasn't expecting to see you here. Please come." Roberta spoke as she calmly began walking forward. Garcia took an instinctive step backward. Roberta stopped in response. "It's natural that you are afraid right now. If you let me, I will explain myself. Then you shall understand." The maids' eyes then fell onto Junsu then her eyes widened momentarily. A slight edge of actual fear seemed to appear as well for a moment. "What are you doing here!? No, wait… you're not her. Though your resemblance to that woman is eerily remarkable. No matter." Roberta began pointing her umbrella shotgun at him but then suddenly Garcia put himself in the way.
"No Roberta, don't!" The Lovelace heir yelled out.
As soon as he did this, Revy then ran behind Garcia. She grabbed him with one arm. Then pointed one of her cutlasses to his head with the other. "Stand down maid," Revy commanded. "I don't think anyone else wants to die here. Especially your sweet little Garcia. Wouldn't you agree?"
"You're going to make things worse!" Rock interjected.
"Shut Up!" Revy growled back not taking her focus off the maid. "As long as she doesn't start shooting. She'll get the kid home in one piece with his brains still in his head. Got it?"
"I need a moment to think." Was the maids' calm reply.
During this Abrego turned his attention to Junsu. His face steadily contorted into even more rage. "Why is someone with the Mad Gear Gang here!? Who the hell sent you!? J wouldn't have sent you to the Lagoon crew on his own accord!?"
"I'm afraid I'm not at liberty to share who my employer is." Junsu retorted back. "It's bad business doing that, I'm sure you understand."
"Don't give me that you faggot looking gook!" Abrego roared in return.
Alright, now Junsu was rather pissed off. "Like I give a damn what a fool like you has to say! As far as I can tell," Junsu motioned his hand towards the rest of the bar. "You suck ass at your job of leading your gang! I bet your sorry ass is only in Roanapur because you fucked up royally back where you're from! Your bosses couldn't kill you for whatever reason! So they did the next best thing instead! They sent a failure like you as far away as they could! Expecting you to either somehow get back in their good graces! Or and this's probably more likely, get killed because of your incompetence at some point!"
The cartel boss was having a bad night already as it was. Then the teenager had unknowingly hit the nail on head with his assumptions. Which only served to piss Abrego off beyond his boiling point. "Die, you little shit!"
When Junsu saw the cartel boss start raising his weapon. The world seemed to slow down momentarily around him. His own reflexes kicked in and it turns out. Junsu was much faster on the draw than an untrained gangster, like Abrego. All the shooting training he received from Lucia kicked in. His body seemingly ran on auto-pilot as he brought shadow runner up. Junsu put sights squarely on Abrego before he had even managed to get his gun halfway up. Shock and fear filled the cartel bosses' eyes as the realization hit him, but he didn't stop raising his weapon. A very costly mistake on his part.
Bang!
The sound of that single shot sounded like thunder throughout the bar. Then a squelching sound could be heard. As high-velocity metal tore through flesh and bone. In a spray of bloody gore, Abrego fell backward to the ground. With a hole now present in the front and back of his skull.
Junsu stood there in place with the barrel of his Beretta slightly smoking. His eyes narrowed in a cold look of concentration. To his knowledge, this was the first time he had ever killed someone. Most people generally freaked out when they kill for the first time. Yet, Junsu felt nothing like that. In fact, he felt completely indifferent about having killed Abrego. The whole deal of killing someone was as simple as squishing a bug. Like it was something as casual as an everyday task of taking out the trash. Like his body was simply numb to the emotional recoil of killing others. Junsu quickly thought that it had to of been the Feng Shui passively influencing him. It was making him way more comfortable with violence in all its forms than he had any right to be. That and his anger about the slurs also helped.
Meanwhile, the bar had done deathly quiet once more. Revy and Roberta were still focused on each other. With Revy still securely holding onto Garcia with a gun to the boy's head. Dutch, Benny, and Rock were staring at Junsu in surprise. The remaining cartel members were still frozen in shock.
"Holy shit," Rock muttered at last.
Junsu kept his gun up and pointed at the door since there were more cartel members. He glanced with his eyes still with a cold detached look of indifference towards the others. His eyes met Revy's own, who then looked at him with a sinister look of approval in her eyes.
"I've finished thinking now," Roberta spoke in her robotic calmness. "I'm afraid I cannot abide by your words. However, I still intend to bring back Master Garcia home in one piece and unharmed." Then she began speaking something in Spanish. Junsu was completely lost as he didn't know the language at all. Garcia for whatever reason began translating.
"A blessing for the living, a bunch of flowers for the dead. With a sword of justice, a punishment of death for the wicked. Thus shall we arrive at the altar of the saints. Those are the words of the Lovelace family creed."
"I will bring the young master home safely, but I must do it within accordance with this creed. In the name of Santa Maria, I will bring the hammer of righteousness to all injustice!" She flipped the briefcase around showing the side of it. Which showed a gun built into it.
"Of course, there's a gun built into it. Why the fuck wouldn't there be?" Junsu quickly growled out.
Then the shit continued to hit the fan.
A lot of things suddenly happened at once. Right before Roberta opened fire, Revy shoved Garcia away toward Rock and Junsu. As she then took off in the opposite direction towards the bar counter. Roberta opened fire and Revy returned with shots of her own, never stopping in her run. The cartel began firing again as well this time seemingly trying to kill everyone inside now. Seems, they were rather annoyed by Junsu killing their boss. Go figure. Roberta quickly shifted her fire back onto them. Killing another and forcing the rest to stop and take cover once more.
"Run, now!" Dutch ordered as he and Benny took off for the back. Junsu and Rock were about to follow but had to suddenly stop. As Revy tried to jump over the bar counter. Roberta twisted back and shot what looked to be a grenade launcher shell from the suitcase that impacted the bar counter.
BOOM!
The whole building seemed to shake from the force. As an entire section of the bar was blown away into nothing. Revy was launched into the air and practically hit the ceiling. Right before she fell and crashed to the floor. Like she was some sort of test dummy.
"Revy!" Dutch exclaimed in concern.
Roberta was preparing to move but was forced to stop as the cartel shot at her again. Thus forcing her to focus her attention for now on them.
"How bad is it?" Dutch asked.
"Her injuries are minor thankfully. Though she no doubt has a concussion and she's out cold. She got lucky and had that blast hit anywhere else. She'd be dead for sure." Benny answered.
While this was going on Garcia seemed to be having a mental crisis about the whole thing. The kid was mumbling to himself. While Rock and Junsu looked at the kid feeling genuinely kind of sorry for him.
"Rock, Junsu, Run! We're getting the hell out of here!" Dutch barked out at them as he was carrying the knocked-out Revy.
The two were about to comply when Garcia suddenly grabbed Rocks' arm.
"Please, take me with you." Garcia pleaded to the Japanese man. This caused Roberta to stop and turn and look at Garcia. The genuine shock was clear on her face from what she was hearing. "Please, I don't know who she is," Garcia said, then in her shock. Roberta let the briefcase slip from her hand and fall to the ground. She simply stood rooted in place from her surprise. As Rock then picked up Garcia, took off with Junsu tailing and providing cover. The remaining cartel members moved in on her hoping to get the kill.
As Junsu, Rock, and Garcia neared the car, the whole bar suddenly exploded in a mass fiery blast. The edges of the explosion just missed them as they reached the car.
"I know they say there's no kill like overkill, but Christ on a stick this's ridiculous." Junsu mouthed in astonishment.
"Dammit Rock, I said to leave the kid." Dutch grouched.
"No offense Dutch, but we don't have time to argue this." Junsu cut in. "Let's just get in the damn car. Then go as far as we can as fast as we can. From the murder maid nine-thousand. Cause I'm certain that she's alive still."
Ditched sighed but didn't try to argue further as everyone piled in and Benny gunned it.
"So, what's the plan?" Junsu asked from the backseat. He sat between Garcia and the unconscious Revy. Rock sat on the opposite side of Garcia. Junsu kept his eyes looking out the back window for any sign of the maid. If they were dealing with just about anyone else. He'd assume they were probably clear in making a getaway. He was making no such assumptions with Roberta.
"We go for the port and get on the ship," Dutch explained. "Once we're on the water even she won't be able to catch us."

"This is not good. This is not good at all." Balalaika spoke as she looked at a plethora of papers on her desk. "This woman is very dangerous indeed." She looked up at Boris as she continued to speak. "A well-trained and talented FARC soldier whose codename is Bloodhound. Because she never fails to catch her targets once she's on their trail."
"She sounds like an impressive soldier even by our standards Kapitan." Boris mused.
"She is I must admit, and that makes things all the more troublesome."
"Concerned for the Lagoon company or the boy from the Mad Gears?"
"Both actually as odd as it may sound," Balalaika replied. "Our history with Lagoon makes our concern easily warranted. As for the boy, he genuinely intrigues me. When I stared him down, he stared right back. Without any hesitation, fear, or flinching. He possesses a certain fire and backbone to him that is rarely seen. He'd make for an excellent soldier if he chose to be one. Though there's something more that I picked up ever so slightly on. As I stared directly into his violet eyes."
"That being what exactly Kapitan?" Boris inquired.
"Simple sergeant, the boy is far more capable than he lets on," Balalaika answered. "Or perhaps he's more capable than even he is truly aware of. I can't say exactly how, but it's simply a feeling in my gut." Her cell phone rang which she quickly answered. "Status report." She stated as she began walking out of her office with Boris behind her. "I see and what else? Oh, that is quite surprising. Hold the position for now and continue to gather information. If Bao asks about the bar. Tell him the insurance has it covered." Balalaika snapped her phone shut. As she now stood in a large open area she was surrounded by a whole squad of her troops.
"What's the intel Kapitan?" Boris mused.
A smirk graced her face as she replied. "The bloodhound is living up to her reputation and then some. The lagoon has managed to escape for the moment and is mostly trying to reach their vessel. Though whether they'll reach it or not is unknown. The biggest surprise and rather pleasantly might I add is Junsu. Not only is he sticking with the lagoon team. Despite the fact, that the job has turned into a far bigger mess than he's being paid for. He also killed Abrego himself with a quick efficient shot between the eyes. As if it was the most natural thing ever to him."
"It would appear your gut feeling about him is proving true."
"So it is sergeant, so it is." The Russian mob boss mused as she turned to the rest of her men. "Let us go comrades. Cock your hammers!"

Junsu was still watching the road behind them. Then he saw a Mercedes come speeding up on them. "She's coming!" He yelled out.
"Shit!" Dutch growled as he pulled out his large revolver. "Try to wake up Revy!" He ordered as began to fire out the window at Roberta.
Junsu had shadow runner drawn still and tried to figure out how he could help. Rock had moved over and tried to awaken Revy. No surprise, his attempts weren't doing anything. He noticed Revy still had one of her cutlasses, the other had been lost back in the bar. He quickly grabbed it and positioned himself leaning out of the back passenger window.
"What are you doing!?" Rock exclaimed.
"We need it more than she does right now!" Junsu barked back as he lined the guns up on the Mercedes. He noticed Dutch had been focusing his fire on the engine block. So he followed along. In a rapid display of gunfire, Junsu unloaded both clips from the Beretta's right into the engine block. The hood of the car suddenly popped in a massive display of smoke as the engine gave out. Roberta had no choice but to slow down and stop. As she almost lost control of the now dead car.
"Hang on everyone!" Benny announced as he was about to make a wild turn across an intersection towards a back alleyway. Junsu quickly slid himself back into the car and proceeded to reload both guns.
"We get to the port by cutting through these back alleys," Benny stated as he maneuvered the car through the tight spaces.
"We're losing valuable time taking this way Benny." Dutch calmly said in response.
"That car's toast no way she can catch up to us with it."
"I was thinking about the maid Benny, not the car. You need to think of that woman as a sort of invincible killing machine." Dutch retorted as then looked towards the back. "Do what you need to wake Revy up. If this turns into a massive shootout, we'll need her skills. If you can't, I hope your damn good at dual-wielding pistols Junsu."
Rock then proceeded to try and fail in waking up Revy. Benny turned the car back onto the main road and floored it. As they sped down the road. Something none of them would've expected to happen happened. Another car fell from the sky seemingly and crashed in front of them. Tumbling around as they passed it, Junsu noticed Roberta was the one driving it. With a pistol ready, Roberta managed to shoot out a tire on the roadrunner. Right before her car tumbled into a building. Benny lost control of the car with the sudden loss of a tire. Then slammed hard into the side of a building the car going dead in response.
"Everyone else, ok?" Junsu mused with a slight grogginess due to the crash. He was laid out on the floor of the car for the moment.
"Yeah, I think the rest of us are good surprisingly," Benny replied as he tried to restart the car.
"Oh shit," Dutch groused as he saw Roberta appear from the wreckage of her car. Looking completely unscathed and then began running right at them. At that moment the car came to life again and took off as fast as they could manage. Roberta was managing to keep pace for the moment. Just as the car was about to become too fast for her. she pulled out a wicked-looking trench knife, jumped, and stabbed it cleanly into the trunk of the car.
"Get down!" Dutch yelled as he pointed his revolver at the maid. Garcia tried to make a slight protest which everyone ignored as Rock grabbed the kid and ducked. Dutch's shot's missed Roberta somehow and destroyed the back windshield. Then there was a click as his revolver ran out.
Junsu sprang up with the cutlass outstretched and ready to shoot the maid point blank. Before he could even pull the trigger, Roberta used her free hand. With a surprising amount of force and yanked it out and onto the streets. Junsu growled in frustration as he leaned back quickly with shadow runner aimed out of the maids' reach. Then Roberta tossed herself onto the roof of the car and began shooting into it.
Dutch and Junsu both returned fire trying to hit the maid blindly. Not that it was being helped by the car constantly jerking around. "Oh shit!" Benny yelled as he narrowly avoided hitting a large truck. Which unfortunately took them off the main road and towards the cargo port of the city. Benny tried to weave through it as best he could but eventually lost control. Then they crashed head-on into a container.
With a violent lurch, the car came to a sudden stop. Everyone inside was being tossed around harshly.
"I'm getting real sick of this shit." Junsu angrily groaned from the floor of the car as he then sat back up. The others began sounding off to indicate they were ok. Though Revy was still out like a light. Junsu looked for the maid and saw her. Roberta was upside down embedded into the side of a cargo container hanging limply. She didn't seem dead since he saw no blood. At the very least, she was unconscious he hoped for the foreseeable future. Those hopes were quickly dashed as Roberta removed herself from her position. Landing on her feet with a gun drawn as she stared them down.
"What the hell is this woman made of!?" Benny yelled in surprise and fear.
"That's it I'm ending this bullshit myself." The Korean-American teen groused as he made his way for the door. He kicked it open and exited the car.
"Hold on a second!" Rock tried to argue.
"Rock," Junsu called out in a cold tone, that caused the Japanese man to immediately shut up. "I'm the only one here who has a real chance against her with Revy still unconscious. Just trust me on this, I've dealt with someone like her in the past." With that, he stalked off towards the maid, his Beretta in hand and ready. Soon enough the two were simply staring each other down. Far from all the others.
"A question before we begin if I may?" Roberta called out, which caught Junsu by surprise.
"Yes?"
"Just who are you? Are you related to that woman by chance?" She eyed the violet-eyed teen and noticed his hesitation. "The others cannot hear us from here. If you are concerned about me telling others of this, I will not. I swear upon my pride, honor, and life as a servant of the Lovelace family. I will not reveal what you say to anyone else. Not even my own masters should they ask."
Junsu regarded the woman for a moment before giving out a deep sigh. "You're wondering if I'm related to Juri Han?"
"Correct."
After a slight moment of pause, he gave his answer. "She's, my mother."
Roberta's eyes widened in genuine shock at that before returning to their normal gaze. "I see, then I will have to take care to simply incapacitate you and not kill you. Your mother would no doubt seek retribution upon me and my masters if I did. Even I would be powerless facing down Juri Han's wrath."
"Well if that's the case." Junsu began as he holstered his pistol and walked closer to the maid. Stopping a few feet in front of her. "Let's settle this with an old-fashioned street fight?"
"I will agree to these terms," Roberta replied as she put away her own gun.
Junsu took his tiger stance, while Roberta took a boxer's stance. The two stared each other down. The world around them was seemingly gone to their senses.
Then they moved.
Junsu swung out with a punch that caught Roberta in the chest. She grunted slightly from the pain and countered with a hook. Junsu ducked beneath and swung with an elbow connecting her gut. The maid was knocked off her balance, which Junsu took advantage of by bringing a kick up to her face. An audible smack was heard as his kick connected. Junsu moved to continue pressing his advantage and shot out another punch. Roberta caught with her hand in a tight grip.
Before Junsu was fully able to make a counter, Roberta blitzed forward and plowed a fist viciously into his gut. The violet-eyed teen felt his air driven clean out of him right before a knee slammed him into his gut as well. Trying to make a counter he swung an elbow at her head that connected. The force made Roberta take a few steps back. The two stared each other down as they took a moment to catch a breath.
"You're a tough one I will admit. While guns and other weapons are ok. Nothing beats the thrill of a good hand-to-hand fight." Junsu said approvingly.
Roberta smirked as she replied. "Agreed, and your skills are rather proficient for someone so young."
"Roberta!" Garcia yelled out as loudly as he could. "You can win! You can beat this guy! I believe in you, Roberta!"
Roberta couldn't keep herself from chuckling a little. "It would seem I must defeat you now more than ever."
"Don't think I'm going to make it easy."
"I don't expect you to!" Roberta yelled as she surged forward.
From there they practically danced with a blaze of kicks, punches, and more. With the large open space of the dock as their battlefield. Both of them countering, blocking, and striking one another. Each fighter had landed minor blows upon another yet neither had been able to make a decisive hit. That could turn the fight in their favor.
Junsu noted that while the woman was good, she wasn't as good as Cammy White had been. Cammy had forced him to fight purely defensively because she left him no other option. Roberta, while pushing him strongly. Wasn't able to make completely abandon offense as Cammy had. That all said, he was enjoying himself still.
Roberta wouldn't admit it out loud, but she was having fun with this. It had been so long since she had fought someone head to head who could give a real challenge. She honestly never thought she would find it again. Especially from a teenager barely old enough to be considered a man. Sure he was the child of a woman so dangerous and infamous. That not even she would dare to cross paths with her, but still. It was all so exhilarating.
"Fucking hell, he's actually matching her strike for strike." Dutch mouthed as he and the others watched the fight from a distance.
"Just what the hell is he I wonder? No normal person could keep up with someone like her." Benny stated in equal parts awe and fear watching the two fighters exchange blows.
"I feel like I'm watching something from a fighting game. Instead of something real." Rock added in.
"You can win this Roberta; I know you will," Garcia mumbled softly to himself.
Revy had no comment as she was still unconscious in the back of the car.
Junsu and Roberta continued to move and strike at one another around their battleground. Both fighters now sported bruises and cuts along their bodies from everything. Junsu's jacket and pants were ripped in a few places. As was Roberta's maid uniform. They continued to move and fight until the pair found themselves fighting right next to a cargo container.
Junsu lashed with a high kick and Roberta caught it with her hands. Before he could do anything else. He was roughly slammed back first into the container. With both his balance completely off and the air slightly knocked out of him. He had no hope of stopping Roberta's next move.
Roberta using all power planted a fist squarely in his gut again. Then used her other hand to grab Junsu by the face and slammed his head against the container full force. One, two, three, four times she did. The fourth time Junsu's arms began to hang somewhat loosely at his sides. He wasn't out but he was in real rough shape now. Once she let go, he slid to the ground his eyes half open in a daze.
"You fought well and honorably but this is over," Roberta spoke at the half-awake teen, through her bloodied mouth.
Junsu sat on the ground in his daze. His head felt like it had just been run over a few times by a truck. He tried to move but his body wasn't listening as well as he'd like. Everything that had happened throughout the night leading to this point had finally caught up to him. He cursed at himself; he wasn't going to lose here. He could still fight he knew it; he wasn't going to be beaten so simply!
Then he felt it just like the last two times as the sensation coursed through his body. Aiming to take control once more but this time he fought against it. He remembered what it caused him to be the first time. While he still couldn't remember what happened the second time with Cammy. It couldn't be any different from the first. This power may have been a part of him, but that doesn't mean he would let it rule over him.
He growled and gripped his head as a spike of pain shot through it. The influence of the Feng Shui continued to push to take total control. Junsu with his willpower continued to push back. He was the one who was going to be in control, not the other way around. "AAHHH!" He yelled and brought his head to the ground still gripping it as the pain felt like it was splitting his skull. His whole body seemed to tense up tightly. It was as if massive pressure was building up within his own body, hurting more and more as it did.
"You don't control me!" Junsu roared mentally. "This's my body, you're my power! Not the other way around! I will be in control of YOU!"
Roberta watched with her guard up at the scene before her. She had become concerned when Junsu had begun gripping his skull and screaming in agony as he tossed his head down to the ground. Then it suddenly just stopped. Then ever so calmly his hands moved from his head. He pushed himself up from the ground and stared. He was staring right at her, determination brimming from his expression. He had seemingly found a second wind. Was his left eye glowing very dimly? No, she had to have been seeing things, that couldn't have been right.
Junsu's breathing was somewhat heavy as he steadily regained his breath. He felt the power of the Feng Shui course through him. It was a minimal amount compared to the near overwhelming sensation he had felt previously. That was fine though because he had through his own gritty determination. He had mange to achieve a level of control over his own power. It was a rather small amount mind you, but it was better than nothing. And certainly better than losing control and the Feng Shui running rampant with his body.
Junsu feeling empowered took his tiger stance once more and narrowed his gaze at Roberta. "I'm ending this now." He crouched down low to the ground. "Ready?" He shot forward with a speed Roberta hadn't expected. He swung with his right leg connecting to her gut. His strike hit harder than any of his previous attacks. He quickly swung back with his left fist right to the maid's jaw. Bloody spittle flew from her mouth like a spurting of water. He kept his momentum up. He twisted and spun lashing out with his right leg. His strike buried itself decisively into Roberta's chest. The maid was launched clean off her feet, her glasses flying off her as it all happened. She landed on her back and slid for a few feet. Not wasting a moment he surged forward and brought his left straight up above him. He focused what little power he could all into that leg. Unknown to him as he kept his gaze firmly on Roberta, his leg glowed very faintly with his purple ki.
With every ounce of force, he could muster. He slammed his leg down heel first into Roberta's gut. The maid's eyes bulged; dark red blood flew from her mouth. Staining her uniform and Junsu's leg red. The force was so great her arms and legs involuntarily shot up as a result. Before falling limply to the ground as she lay, eyes half open. The will to fight quite literally knocked out of her for good. It was over at last. Roberta's rampage on Roanapur was finished.
The port had gone eerily quiet as the fight had finally ended. The few who had watched had been shocked into utter silence. For at least a few moments anyways.
"I wouldn't fucking believe it if hadn't seen it with my own eyes," Dutch stated with utter surprise. "Junsu actually beat that killer robot maid."
"Let's make a note to never piss him off," Benny spoke up. "That guy is officially one of the top three scariest people in the whole damn city. Right behind Balalaika and boss Chang."
"Roberta!" Garcia yelled in panic as he ran to the maid.
"Garcia, wait!" Rock called out as he was quick to follow.
"Roberta, say something to me," Garcia spoke in panicked concern as he kneeled beside her.
"Master…Garcia…" Roberta looked at and spoke to the boy weakly. "Forgive me…I failed…to win…" Then she fell to unconsciousness.
Junsu overlooked the scene as he felt what little power of the Feng Shui, he had managed to have control of slip away. He immediately fell to a knee as all his exhaustion and pain from the night slammed into him.
"Junsu, how are you holding up?" Rock asked in worry.
"I'm good, just need a few minutes to recollect myself." Junsu simply replied.
Next thing anyone knew the whole section of the port they were in. Was lit up with flood lights pointed right at them. Some found this more annoying than others.
"Mother fucker! Right in my eyes!" Junsu growled out; he really didn't need this right now.
"Apologize, Junsu." A female voice called out as a clacking of heels was heard. Then it stopped and the light was blocked by the figure who approached.
Junsu looked up now that he wasn't being blinded and saw Balalaika. "Oh, uhh, hey Balalaika."
Balalaika eyed him with a smirk before her eyes laid upon the defeated form of Roberta. "Who may I ask was responsible for doing this?"
"That would be me," Junsu answered.
The Russian mob boss raised an eyebrow in curiosity and looked at Rock as if asking for confirmation. Rock simply nodded his head to give her an answer. "Consider myself impressed Junsu, very impressed and I don't say that often. Not just your defeating of the bloodhound but what else you did tonight. You went above and beyond in what I asked you to do. In even more ways than I could've asked. Your killing of Abrego did quite a favor you see. Hotel Moscow had been planning a little war against Abrego's part of the cartel. The maid and yourself did me quite the favor with the damage you caused to them." She shifted her gaze to Garcia. "You'll find that the HQ of the Venezuelan part of the cartel is in ruins. You're safe to go home now."
"I need help with Roberta she's in no condition to leave anywhere right now," Garcia said locking eyes with Balalaika.
She regarded the Lovelace heir for a moment. "I technically owe a debt to miss maid here for her part against Abrego. Sargent, see that the bloodhounds' wounds are properly treated. Then ensure she and the boy are safely returned to Venezuela."
After a few minutes, Roberta was loaded onto a stretcher by some of Balalaika's men. Garcia refused to leave her side the entire time and he continually glared at Junsu the whole time. Junsu said nothing as a few more of Balalaika's men treated him as well. Not long after he was patched up, Roberta and Garcia were gone. As he sat there relaxing, he suddenly found a large tan envelope in front of his face via Balalaika. He grabbed it and stood back up. "What's this?" He inquired.
"Your payment." The Russian mob boss replied.
"This seems significantly more than I thought I was being paid."
"Indeed it is. In fact, I decided to up your pay to seventy-five thousand dollars. I don't cheapskate people who do good work for me." Balalaika simply smirked and lightly tapped the side of Junsu's face with her hand. "I look forward to hiring you for your talents in the future. Good day to you." With that, she walked off with her men following.
"What the hell was that all about?" Rock mused.
"I'm starting to think she has a fetish for cute Asian guys," Junsu answered.
"AH! My fucking head!"
"Looks like Revy is awake at last. Better go run damage control on this."
As the two approached they noticed Dutch trying and failing to placate her. Once she noticed them her ire immediately fell upon them.
"What happened and where is that fucking glasses bitch!?" Revy roared "I need to make her a new asshole!"
"Roberta been taken care of, she's not dead but she won't be causing any of us trouble anytime soon. Hopefully, never again. Junsu managed to take care of her."
"You'd better have given the maid cunt a proper ass kicking." The gunslinger grouched staring at the violet-eyed teen.
"If it makes you feel any better. She was carried off on a stretcher, stained in her own blood." Junsu answered with a shrug.
"Oh hell yeah it does," Revy replied with glee. "I'll be rubbing one out tonight to that image."
Everyone else decided to simply ignore that last bit.
"Wait a fucking minute! Why are my guns gone!?" Revy questioned in anger.
"Blame the maid for that." Junsu quickly answered.
"But I-" Rock began but shut up when he received a glare from Junsu. "Yep, it was totally Roberta's doing." Rock quickly changed his answer not wanting to invoke any of Junsu's wrath. He had quickly proven himself to be even scarier than Revy.
"That no good four-eyed whore! Between the custom work and having to put a rush order on them. It's going to cost roughly six grand altogether." Revy ranted in anger.
Junsu looked at the envelope with his pay from Balalaika and then sighed. While he would never tell Revy the truth. He was sort of responsible for losing one of her guns. He opened up the envelope of money and pulled out some of it. He approached her and slapped the money into her hands. Revy immediately stopped her tirade and just looked at Junsu dumbly.
"What the fuck?" Revy simply mouthed.
"Look, don't try looking too hard into it. I'm not that desperate for the money. Besides, a gunman without a gun is useless." Junsu casually answered. "That's all the money you need to replace your guns."
Revy looked at Junsu and then the money. Repeating this a few times with a dumb expression still on her face.
"So, what's next?" Rock asked as this was going on.
"How about we hit up a liquor store and buy as much booze as we want? Then head to your guy's place or mine and toss a few drinks back. I think we all could use it after tonight." Junsu suggested. "I'll buy." He finished waving the envelope of money.
"Hell yeah!" Revy cheered as she threw an arm around Junsu. With a cheshire-like grin of delight on her face. "You know what Junsu? You're awesome after all. Good taste with guns can kick ass in a fight. You beat the shit out of that glasses bitch and you're buying me new guns and all the booze I could want. I could suck your dick right now, I'm so happy."
"Let's mark that for a maybe later thing once we get a few drinks in us." Was the taekwondo user's response. With a slight blush on his face from the thought of the gunslinger's suggestion. Revy just threw back her head and laughed.
What a wild night it had turned out to be.
