FASTER THE BLOOD BLEEDS, SOONER THE SANITY SLIPS.

October 13th, Noon.

Naturally Hinata was a patient person, the one overwhelmingly polite to a fault. She was also extremely sensitive, took words to heart only to drench in tears further in her bedtime. Despite weighing the suppressed tumultuous emotion to every locale of her being she still prefers to let people have her way through her, degrade and demean her. Regardless she never let those be a obstacle to become kind and comforting. But there's this another person, best friend of her childhood infatuation with relics of psychotic tendencies her apparent kidnapper, claiming to be her husband in an elite honeymoon location.

Yeah she was very patient just not with this man.

However the facts still remained that he purloined her chakra. She was now mere citizen next to a beast with humongous chakra, ninjutsu and smirks. All her life she never had a saturated urge to eight trigams; 64 palms someone, in fact she preached kindness, but this guy was a different story. For the past three days he was been dragging her in the disgraceful name of sightseeing to 'gather intel'; precisely to listen inside village gossips. She wondered if he was a closet bitch.

"Why are you disgusted for? People will think I'm not treating you right. " He shook his head as he pulled her closer, the disgust on her face more evident with each inch.

"You are not. Kidnapping a woman and dragging her along under deception is what kind of treating you right? " She reprimanded.

"Are you still mad about the clothes? There's no kimono available here unless it's made from fishnet? Wanna model in that? "

"No." She hissed. Out of the 138 escape escapade she wove and executed, the 13 times he let her go because he figured out she won't be succeeding anyway she raided every available clothing store only to find a dress more exposed than the last. Finally giving up she wore Sasuke's shirt, all while grateful to kamisama that Sakura wasn't here. The woman was strong and humble, she was one of her closest friends but her hysterics didn't align with hers. She was exuberant, highlighted and secured appraisal glances everywhere She went, contradicting hinata on an 180 ° level. She appreciated her just sometimes it was overzealous. She could imagine her breaking a canal in this panorama and actually filled it up with her own tears when she would find out the predicament she was in. Hinata on the other hand would offer a fortune to anyone to saves her from the aforementioned situation.

"Ano u-Sasuke.. " She stumbled a bit closer to him. Sasuke banned her from calling him 'uchiha-san' because apparently no couple used such honorifics instead she had to call him by his name. Yes, she diligently practiced reciting the name every night. That aside she gathered her thoughts and realised she really had a ton of unanswered questions "What are you exactly looking for? Just so you remember I have byakugan that sees through walls. "

"Don't interfere hyuga. " He hissed. He eyes displayed distinct coldness and face venom. She tightened her jaw at his murderous expression, a feeling of despair rising in her stomach.

He was the one who dragged her into this useless play, branded her designations she doesn't want and threw confidential in every of her reasonable questions. Here she was volunteering to help the criminal so they wrap this up, return her back to home, to her friends and family. Things would obviously go smoothly if they have her dojutsu; she's a trained shinobi she knows how to be discrete and dig out information...! His actions and replies were only making her feel more and more impotent and inferior. She grit her teeth, "If you're making me your wife then treat me as such. "

He was amusd, he'll give her that. "Okay wifey. " He smirked. "Let me make it up for you, let's go grab lunch you must be hungry. " He pulled her by waist to their usual food booth they had been having lunch. It was in the middle of the city, the uncalled womb for rumours.

She huffed her cheeks as she was pulled away from the dirt road. They settled on a table, this time instead of sasuke sitting in front of her he sat beside her. The waitress came and like every other time started with flirting Sasuke, glaring at her than proposing the menu. She was getting fed up from all this commotion and her unceremonious co-opting in these. Just like every other day Sasuke too ignored her ordered meals and shooed her away. She started massaging circles in her throbbing forehead from all the giggles she was hearing from smitten woman all ages approved, from everywhere.

"Jealous? " He teased as he drank the glass of water on the table. He knew she wasn't, if anything she wouldn't give a damn if a woman sat on his lap and started making out but the thought itself of someone supposedly doing that was disturbing and utterly disgusting for him. As if his assumptions weren't true her glare proved it otherwise.

"Will you at least tell me what you're looking for in village gossips? "

He glanced at her a vexatious smirk upon his lips. "Hyuga." He slid his hands on her waist and pulled her closer. She eeeped, terrified. She could feel his hot breath on her neck.

"W-what-"

"Pay attention to me Hina. " She shivered. Her lips were trembling and she was so sure she would faint anytime. Why was he so close? Why can she feel his lips on her ear? He pinched her. She was two seconds away from screaming. "Kaka-san wanted us to look around this place. He believed it was perfect for honeymoon for us. "

He traced kanji on her wrists. She was baffled then transcripted his cautious hand tracings. Is this some sort of code?

Kaka-san? So the hokage wanted him to investigate this place. What the hell was honeymoon for us!? When was she included. No she is positive her being here is a pure coincidence.

'Ryakuza. ' he traced. She frowned. Back in konoha she heard about it from shino who went on a short trip to Land of Tea. It wasn't pleasant.

"S-sasuke everyone is s-staring. " They were. Time was paused around them, people all around her were stealing shy glances.

"They are listening too. " He tapped her wrists. Listening? They heard about byakugan and all this..? Her body tensed, she was feeling paranoid. They were being spied upon. It's trouble considering her terrible escape attempts.

"We will get privacy in the inn. " He whispered. She too unfocused to say anything. "Right, wifey? " She stared at him and Feebly nodded. The cherry to her problems.

"Sure? "

"Positive."

"I'll look into. Forget it happened unless I remind you. "

"Noted, hokage-same. "

"Dismissed." A sigh escaped upon his lips after the ANBU left. He sent ANBUs to Otogakure for a brief survey; one of them spotted Sasuke carrying a girl. Sasuke. Carrying. A. Girl.

Hypothetical.

Unbelievable.

Impossible.

He hasn't pried into his students personal life but he was sure nothing drastic happened between sakura and Sasuke. Sakura was rather thrilled to pack her bags, abandon everything and follow him out on his redemption. 'Redemption' hahahah nice Sasuke you made me laugh.

He was so uptight about his journey, redemption what not. He'll bet his finances that was not a lie. There were a lot of reasons along with his legit reason to take responsibility of the mess he created. Farfetched but understandable. Yes he sent him on a mission, a side mission. It simply was on the way to wherever he was going. Would have been a great help if he punched in some intel. They were in peace not cenobite.

Also Sasuke might even have saved someone but Sasuke saving someone, random that too was... too bizarre. Surely he was on redemption however he would not think twice about staying out of people's business, good or bad. He'll actually prefer someone rolling down the mountains than holding there hands to hoist them up. Minding your business is also an authentic part of redemption.

Nothing made sense except the fact he changed his mind and started following Orochimaru's carnage graved path. Again,

Hypothetical.

Unbelievable.

Impossible.

He should send a message. He can't though. Sasuke warned him he'll be spying in unknown territories a konoha message will mean nothing but more trouble. Either way he can bottle up his curiosity for a few weeks then he'll definitely send him a message and ask for a much needed explanation. He hopes he would say the truth.

Coming back to the village why the fuck are Hyugas so feisty recently?

October 13th, Evening.

"Why were you loitering on the Borderlands anyway? " He lazily tilted his head to have a look at the fazed Hyuga sitting at the bed end. Her face was unnaturally red.

"I- we snuck out. " Her voice came out more unsteady than she expected. She was more in control now after their lunch. Sasuke was sprawled across the bed and she nestled herself at the very end of it, her back resting on the wall.

"We?"

"Uh huh. " She nodded looking at him. "Kiba-kun and Shino-kun. They were my teammates. "

"So you guys decided to have a reunion party at such a nudnik place? " And here he thought he was the crazy one.

"N-no..! I told you we snuck out." She bit her lip unsure whether should continue or not. "I just needed a break. "

"Lying to me Hyuga? " br /"I guess."She shrugged. Her introverted nature doesn't even allow people to know about her days going how in the world is he supposed to open up and spat everything? " Does hokage sama know? " She meekly asked.

"No."

"Then tell him. " She pried. It'll end in disasters if he doesn't.

"This place might look like honeymoon destination it is not Hyuga. Contacting konoha is simply not appreciated here. "He reasoned. That was partly true. There were a lot of things happening behind the curtain as well.

"The people in here... " She stared at nothing in particular. "They know ninjustsu. Yet they hide it. "

"You noticed?" Not bad Hyuga. He lazily stared at the ceiling. "They are shinobis. Most likely retired. You know the usual tired of blood and all. "

"Oh" How should she react? They seemed so welcoming. "They don't know about the peace? "

"They aren't curious enough. They believe they know all the underhanded jobs the hidden villages do. Believe it'll happen and it does. "

"I see.. " Consequent of the war most of the villages agreed on peace. Generally because they had no resource nor will to keep the show going. Gradually everything from small villages were crashing only due to some people pursuing their assets. Technically they weren't even involved and yet to sustain the most damage. She felt sorry. "What about the y-youth?" She has hardly spotted one healthy teenager in this place. Almost all the citizens Were either senior or junior. Were they not willing to explore?

"Aa." He pulled her down with him. "A discussion for later. "

Sighing, she jumped off the bed and headed towards the door. "I won't runaway or anything. I need fresh air. " She dismissed herself.

'I know. ' He grumbled.

This is so pretty. I would have enjoyed the place if not the circumstances. She walked in the inn circumference that had an adjoined garden and further the forest. Flora fauna were palpably beauteous too. She padded through the grassy arena scouting the area. It wasn't necessary but she was a shinobi. Old habits die hard. It felt restless to not know what's happening a few miles around you. This place had an interesting geography, as a shinobi the first suspect about this place would be it's drug manufacturing area. Civilization was centre radially concentrated leaving the high mountains to border them. They also had a permeable security which was just perfect for illegal trade.

Her eyes we're itching to check around the whole area. She was feeling oddly paranoid. The feeling of being watched. It was not Sasuke, she would never felt anything if he was doing it. Such was his expertise.

Clutching her sundress she stalked through the bushy areas, acting natural. 'There are a lot of flowers I can act as if in a fairytale. 'She sighed. The bushes got thornier as she approached the foothills. Her gut was screaming at her to retreat, paranoia boiling within her. 'Few more steps, just a bit more' she trudged around, jumping on every little bush shuffling. She will admit she was on edge. Everything was manageable untill a dart passed right near her eyes. She barely managed to dodged one and two others passed by simultaneously. If not her Hyuga stance with flexible response she would have been dead. Unable to maintain her equilibrium she fell on the moss floor.

Bad Idea Hina, Run. ' she stood up, cautious of any other weapons and ran back to the inn. On the corner of her eyes she caught a black cloaked figure merging into darkness.

Slam

Thud

He released a long heartily displeased groan. Prepping on his arms he glared at the subject of intrusion. By the closed door sat Hinata sweaty and breathy with widened eyes.

'Kami woman it hasn't even been 30 minutes. 'He cursed noticing her reddened face. He trudged towards her she had something in her hands, wrapped by a piece of her clothing. He crouched, stared at her face patiently waiting for her to elaborate. Instead she tossed the wrapped thing to him. He caught it and sat cross legged in from of her. Carefully he opened it, it was a dart that almost burnt the rest of the wrapping cloth. Poisoned then.

"F-foothills... Near the foothills someone from the caves.. Threw it. " She frowned trying to remember more details. "It was wearing a black cloak. "

'It's always the black cloak.' He examined the dart again with his sharingan. "Stay put. " He grabbed his cloak and exited, jerking Hinata off the door. She frowned.

Same day, Grave night.

"... So? What do you think? " Lord sixth rested his chin on his folded hands, a sober sigh escaping his lips. Few traders from Konoha who went missing were found around outskirts of Kumo, paralyzed in a genjutsu. Had it been the old days he was sure now the village would be preparing for a war, given the current peace driven circumstance he can't quite accuse Kumo of kidnapping their men and looting their resources. That however is not why he is particularly wary about this, the refined genjutsu they were trapped in has only been consequential of the infamous Sharingan. The only known natural holder of it has denied his involvement in this .So if there's a jutsu as polished as the sharingan itself in the possession of kumo it's a bad news. Or if there's another one of uchiha in the possession of Kumo that's again bad news. No matter what the era stuff like that in the hands of Kumo will always be bad news. To clarify that stuff he called Sasuke to have a look into it. His validation matters the most right now.

"It's the Sharingan. " He coolly drops the bomb in nagasaki. "There's room for improvement. "

"Right. Not everyone's a prodigy. "He wanted to roll in eyes through the whole room. " I made it a bit easier for you, Orochimaru denies propagating a pair of sharingan or such. "

"Hn."

"I want you to look into it. Discreetly that is. "

No gurantee about him but the guy Hinata saw is one hell of a discreet man. The hill is not exactly a solid foundation, it has peculiar holes through it like a creepy windows. The genjutsu made it seem oblique, neat. High scalar genjutsu that too this faultless could only be possible if one, impeccable technique that Sasuke quite isn't aware of yet or two, you have the Sharingan as your foundation and lots of chakra too. These were the combinations he wouldn't bother to deal with.

Regardless, he cracked open a small loophole in the genjutsu to slid inside the faux escarpment. Apart from the rotting smell of rocks it was pretty much the same setup. This one though he knew for sure was a place to tie people up and vent insanity in the name of bigger motive. It felt familiar. He toured around the forsaken place when he felt floundering around the corner.

"Killed!? What do you mean the whole damned troop were slaughtered on the streets!?" He hissed, aggressively disappointed at his janissaries. Nasty expressions made their way onto his slender face yet he dodged all the needles aimed at him. Cautious and distressed he took a stance to create a mud wall around them. He wanted a few seconds to think of something, unfortunately the wall was halfway collapsed from a blue lightning.

"So you do Genjutsu and mediocre doton? " Leccy did not make the air as heavy as his threatening voice did. He knew it was bad news. "Tell me about the damned troop you were talking. "

"No." Another hiss and another chiseled sound of blade dancing. "Why do you bother? "

"General knowledge. " Sasuke could spot vast amount of emotions on the rigged faces of undermen who were currently froze. The main person- he assumed- however gritted his teeth then scowled. Given the circumstances he concluded the obnoxious scowl was the exhibition of tragic epiphany between their calibre.

"You killed them didn't you? " The only other person who was not Sasuke and could speak spat. "When you already did the deed what's the point of digging it!?"

"Answer my question. "

"No." He grit his teeth so hard the sound resonated through the cave walls. His eyes showed the kind of determination Sasuke didn't want to deal with. And just as he thought he assailed on him. Various kinds of mudman were pouncing on him from everywhere, the land he was standing began wobbly and he felt suffocated.

But the thing that disturbed him most were the red orbs he was not vigilant off. Somewhere within himself there was a spark of familiarity, a drop of heartbeat and tons of memories. Expectations were going to be ghostly disenchanted yet he took a moment of consideration. He had his own pair of red treasure spinning. Efficiently he dodged all the rusty attacks all while getting in close combat with him. His nemesis had a weak close combat, he could exploit that.

Beyond all the war spells he froze when he saw the 3 tomoe embedded in a pair of eyes which on verge of bleeding. It had been a while since Sasuke had been this indecisive in a battle. His fogged brain wary of his actions launched a fatal attack. Everything went inert for a while which was broke when the thud of a body falling on the ground resonated. Sasuke had been never terrified of blood as he was on that moment realizing how fast it flows out of the body. Only if Itachi had been here.

October 14th, Dawn.

Years ago when Tsunade-sama made it a compulsion that every team must have a medically knowledgeable shinobi on their team, Hinata never in her wildest dream imagined she'd be grateful for it now. She saved a person's life while she was having her own panic attack. The terrific amount of anxiety attacks she had when Sasuke plopped a bleeding body with a burnt black cloak on the bed and asked her to save him. She did her best from the skill she had. Sewed up major injuries, stopped bleeding and made sure nothing fatal was in action externally or internally. The only thing she couldn't comprehend were the eyes so she left cooling patches on them. She was absolutely confident when she declared that the person will live, then why was Sasuke still so tensed?

Better than anyone else in the world she understood the value of silence. So she stood quietly beside him. After hours he finally spoke, "He's a-might be uchiha. "

She tried to be unnoticeable but her stupidly horrified lilac eyes gave it away. Now she was tensed too. "He's not the one with poison darts but their boss. " She took a deep breath and spoke nothing. Her mind was baffled trying to process this piece of information that the person playing with poison darts on the outskirts of an secluded retired shinobi village is an uchiha, somewhere she was also dismal on what if the person wouldn't have been saved. She was suspicious that whether he is even relieved the person is saved. However she was in no place to ask these questions. For the time she was with him she'll abide by whatever decision he takes.

"When will he wake up? "

"He should already be awake. " Hinata answered honestly. "The strike you did on him was supposed to kill him very instant but he managed to sheath himself so there was no damage done but the huge scar. He is beyond exhausted. "Steadily she lifted her eyes to meet his. He froze taking a note of her sui generis.

He was used to look at the fade green contacts that made her face look more prudent. This eyes however presented her wih a distinct serenity.

"What? " She inverted her eyes suppressing her

"You are a hyuga. " Sasuke stated it with a great deal of corroboration.

"Ah."

October 14th, Last hues of Evening.

Kaasan, always said 'it's way easier to give up than keep fighting yet you do it. ' curiously when he would ask a naive 'why?' The reply was always a 'you'll now'. Many times he observed her admiring small things, noting down gratitude even though they lived in a worndown hut on the outskirts of a poverty stricken village. As a kid he was enraged at the lifestyle and always wanted to ran away. When he did, he never regretted anything more than that decision.

"Ano... Do you need water? "

He tried looking at the voice that so much resembled like someone beloved. That one person who held stars in her eyes. He pushed back the heart rending memories and tried to embrace what was in to come. Just as Kaasan would always say 'look forward into the blue skies', the skies that would only resemble gloom. The path forward that always resembled burnt down wood and happiness.

"Please... Please don't try to sit. The stitches will all open up. "

Stitches? The one getting loosened on the old clothes or the one he saw on his beloved sisters hand. She was crying in anguish for his help but he couldn't. She was screaming she must be. All he had to do was snatch her away and run. He knew what was to do then why didn't he!? When He knew the man was suspicious then why did he let him take his family away!? Because...because he knew the answer. The suspicious man, who ripped down his family, took away his mother and sister was supposed to be their father.

"Sasuke! Sasuke! "

Sasuke!? Who's that? His name was... His name was... He was...

He jerked open his eyes. It was burning. All his body was aching. He felt needles into his flesh, a suffocated volatile atmosphere revolving around him. His throat felt dry like someone rigged it up with a sandpaper.

"Please close your eyes. They're bleeding. "

He heard her voice again and saw waves of dark hair. She had dark hair too, she always wanted long dark hair but ended up cutting it halfways. This has to be her. She somehow always saved him.

"Pinch those damned eyes shut. "He couldn't actually do it. It ached to breathe.

His eyesight was blurry and bleeding. Someone closed it.

"Are you conscious? " He wanted to speak but his throat won't open. Someone again gently steadied him up and brought water to his mouth. He greedily drank it.

"Yes." He croaked.

"Tell me about the dead gang you were talking." A familiarly dangerous voice demanded.

"A-ano... "

"I-" He took deep breaths. They saved his petty life. "Undermen of Teru Hikaru who went wayward beyond his orders. They call themselves the ryakuza gang. They're in fact mere stepping stones. "

"Who's Teru Hikaru? " Sasuke asked amused.

"A-a local leader of a g-goon gang in outskirts of Kumo."' The pain was worsening. ''A-around year back he went missing, h-he returned..., suspiciously crazy p-powerful with sick sense of sadism." It was really hard to speak, his voice was cracking and he felt terrible pain strokes in his head.

"Where's he now? "

"His gang, The R-ryakuza gang bloomed into.., p-part of something h-huge and, and a-apparently godly. He drowns himself off d-debauchery licking the feet of the greater G-god, they said. " His head was throbbing, pulsatating with memories worse than previous, his eyes burned larger and his body succumbed to tremors.

"What-"

"Sasuke stop. " Hinata obstructed. Her eyes determination that forced him to stop his interrogations. He understood she was pleading him to stop. A wounded silence later, she brought a pill, broke it into pieces and water for him to swallow. Swallowing was hard but he seldom had a choice. He felt drowsy, weakened; physically, mentally and emotionally.

October 14th, Aged Midnight.

It was a sore timing to be in the cafe, stark midnight. The moon was half eaten, clouds half sprawled. They were served warm cups of Matcha by the owner who generously agreed to let them be in the cafe, alone. Since this was off season as well as the weather was salubrious, she giggled and left them alone. Sasuke choosed a far away cozy area in a corner, they were awkwardly cuddled together. Dare should anyone say cuddle, she was stacked on him.

Hinata sighed , pulled herself and looked in his partly luminous face. "Sasuke, you can't ask him those questions out right. More than physically he seems psychological lacerated. "

He didn't move yet acknowledged her confrontation. "Hn."

"Also, about his eyes... " She hesitated. She had no intricate idea about Uchihas, sharingan. In konoha, it was a forbidden topic; people avoided to talk about it unless it was loathing or missions. "... They are peculiar. I do not know how to deal with them. " He bit her lower lip. "I'm afraid it shall result in permanent eye damage."

"Hn." Sasuke was not imprecise whether or not he should inform her about the sharingan, at this point he knew this woman will keep secrets just as fine as him. Even if he she does blabber this to anyone the only known beholder is him, not really challenging anyone, but he'd like to see who and what anyone will do to him. He was rather concerned about how he should start. "The sharingan. "

He pulled her down to his arms, it was crude and violated her personal space, however this time just one time she didn't object; more than her personal space she was wary about spies. "When Uchihas experience powerful emotional condition with regards to a person precious to us, our brain releases a special form of chakra that affects the optic nerves, transforming the eyes into Sharingan."

Hinata nodded, "Blood vessels around his eyes are severely ruptured, chakra flow is..., tensed. "Sasuke gave her enough chakra to operate on Byakugan, she gathered enough information from that.

"When you first awaken your sharingan, your perception is off, you can't react on time, your chakra depletes and eyesight is blurred. Under a guide or not, manifesting it is complicated. "Sasuke felt Hinata tense, "While I was fighting him he was efficient but instinct driven. He must have activated the third tomoe, recently under very unlikely unfavourable emotional conditions. "

She straightened grabbing her cup she sipped steadily as to not disturb the tranquil nights. "We shouldn't probe. It's a sensitive issue, I'm afraid it'll cause persistent brain damage. "

"Hn." Sasuke got the very basic informations he was dubious he knew anything more than that even if he knew he doubted he would be able to explain it without bursting few blood vessels.

"I... I can detangle the chakra tension but I'm not confident about the sharingan itself, it's healing and endurance. The psychological phase he went through could trigger paranoid, delusional tendencies if not treated properly. "

"My sharingan, it's tomoe were activated under mission circumstances, I don't remember being psychologically troubled, specifically. I was insanely ambitious, yes. "

"Again Sasuke, I'm not sure about your psychologically troubled part. Physically you look fine. " She sighed. Really? Is he telling that he's psychologically okay? What a joke.

He smirked, she knew the essence. She ain't coaxing anything, "Ah, what do you know. "

"Enough to consider you a human." She sipped her last sip, slowly, letting all the flavours be etched on her tongue. "What kind? Still a wary project. "

"You're working on it? "

"Do I get a choice? No. " She placed her cup down on the ceramic plate, it clinked as she rubbed her palms on her thighs.

Oh this was entertaining. Sasuke sipped the hot beverage mentally patting him for his excellent kidnapping skills. Not only was this woman fascinating, a sneaky short cut in the mission but a handy doctor as well. Her byakugan was farfetched, well developed. Her company was arguable.
