Chapter 3
The 100 – smart and good decisions made on Halloween
Sorry about being so late getting this out I've had trouble getting back to this fic I hope it will be worth the wait though.
Bellamy Blake
'Well what did you think,' Bellamy asked as he and the princess walked back in the direction of the car once they had finished eating. He had taken Clarke to one of his favourite places so Bellamy really wanted to hear her say she enjoyed it and generally the whole experience, it kind of felt like a point of pride to him at this point.
'It was good,' Clarke smiled as they made it out of the side street and moved in the direction of the car 'it was really good in fact, I think I will probably come back.'
'Happy to hear it,' Bellamy grinned really happy to be hearing this; the princess liked the food he had gotten for her, he had been right to bring her here. 'The food really is something isn't it,' Bellamy continued taking a little bit of a victory lap 'I bring girls here when I really want to impress them, the really special ones.'
'You don't say,' Clarke remarked as they reached the car shooting Bellamy a mocking looking smile just as he realised the inference of what he had just said.
'I just meant,' Bellamy spluttered trying to back track 'with girls I, it's not like that with you, I've bought the guys here.'
'So I'm one of the guys,' Clarke laughed clearly enjoying herself now 'so I'm not a girl your looking to impress and show a good time.'
'Forget I said anything princess,' Bellamy scowled opening the car and getting in as Clarke did the same still smiling brightly.
'I don't know,' Clarke giggled doing her seat belt 'that might be difficult because I'm wondering now if I'm one of the guys or if I'm a special girl.'
'Ha ha ha,' Bellamy counted scowling at the fact he had managed to fall into this little knot of words without meaning to. To begin with he had been running on instinct Bellamy had just wanted to get Clarke away from Lexa after everything that had happened which was why he had driven her away and after that he hadn't known what to do so he had just followed the princess's lead. She was still the girl he intensely disliked but the princess was still a person and Bellamy was capable of empathy so he had tried to be nice and help Clarke out in her moment of need but things had kind of taken an unexpected turn.
Looking back Bellamy had probably just thought he would drive her somewhere and that would be it, maybe back to the campus so she could meet up with Raven but then Clarke had asked him to take her somewhere fun. The question had thrown him a little so instead of saying no Bellamy had engaged and asked why she was asking and when she had given him an answer it kind of felt too late to turn back so he had gone all in with showing the princess a good time. Now he thought it over though this all just felt really weird, him and Clarke were supposed to hate each other but here they were in his car having just eaten ready to go somewhere else to try and have more fun.
'I think I'll give Raven a call,' Clarke said but Bellamy only half heard her still caught up in his own head with the question of how he had ended up here and the question of what to do next. He didn't pay her any attention as she got out her phone and started dialling it up just continuing to think things over feeling like he was getting closer to a decision now but as Clarke answered the phone and began to speak what he heard distracted him away from his thoughts. He had heard Clarke say hello but then he had over heard what sounded like some kind of animal roaring on the other end.
'What was that,' Bellamy asked looking over at Clarke as she hung up with a perplexed look on her face 'some kind of dog?'
'I don't know maybe,' Clarke shrugged still looking perplexed 'Raven is a bit of a dog person I guess.'
'Well,' Bellamy sighed deciding to get back to where his mind had been going before the call 'I just thought of a place we could go next and it's close to the campus so we could check in with Raven and the others after if you like.' Bellamy found Clarke all kinds of annoying but he was feeling sorry for her right now and he was kind of having fun so he really didn't see any reason not to keep going with everything. There were a few things he could think of that were worth doing on Halloween night things that were fun many of which would be more fun with company so why not do them with Clarke Griffin.
'Really,' Clarke asked sounding intrigued now 'what have you got planned now, is it somewhere you would take a special girl or one of the guys?'
'Both actually,' Bellamy said rolling his eyes at the mocking grin Clarke was now shooting him starting the car up and pulling away part of him already wondering if this was a bad idea.
'O really,' Clarke giggled going with this now apparently putting thought of the strange phone call to one side 'how interesting, are you going to tell me what this is?'
'It's something that is good for working out aggression,' Bellamy said making a turn deciding to be cryptic 'which I figure you could use right now.'
'Well that's certainly true,' Clarke smiled 'but what do you mean by work out aggression?'
'Wait and see princess,' Bellamy said smiling at the pleading look he could see on Clarke's face 'but don't you worry it's the fun kind of working out aggression.' The place Bellamy was taking Clarke really was a lot of fun he went to it every so often when he needed to work stuff out and he always felt really good afterwards. It was what was called a rage room and they were a lot of fun, how it worked was you would pay to go into one of the rooms they had set up with breakable objects and then you would let loose with the tools they provided you with and just start breaking stuff to your hearts content.
Best of all the rage room Bellamy was taking Clarke to now really took things seriously, they believed they were providing a public service as it were so they went to great lengths to provide a good service. Part of that was trying to feme things around different holidays and such, on Christmas they'd rap boxes up so you could destroy them with hammers and figure out what was inside but it was Halloween that was the really big one there. It was different every year but it was always really good, last years they had created a bunch of monsters that were super realistic with fake blood and everything, whatever they had this year Bellamy was sure Clarke would love it.
The drive to the rage room passed quietly and without incident apart from the moment when Bellamy had needed to stop the car because of the wild looking dog that was running across the road but other than that the journey was fine. Smiling with a sense of accomplishment Bellamy pulled them up into the little side street carpark that was just in front of the rage room which consisted of an old style garage front with rage room spray painted on it.
'Rage room,' Clarke asked with a bemused smile looking at the front of the building as Bellamy turned off the car.
'Well it's kind of what it sounds like,' Bellamy said with a barely suppressed laugh 'it's a place to work out ones rage, in a room that's been set up for that.'
'OK,' Clarke nodded looking bemused 'how exactly does that work then?'
'Come on, I'll show you,' Bellamy grinned getting out of the car finding that he was eager now to show Clarke what was in store for the two of them here.
Clarke Griffin
Following Bellamy inside the building that had the interesting title of rage room Clarke right away felt like she was dressed wrong, she was still dressed as a sexy fairy and from the looks of things she had just walked into some kind of gothic dungeon set up. The layout of the room they were in was of a fairly basic reception with half the room having chairs and the other having a desk with a corridor in the middle leading away from the reception area. However that was where the ordinary ended, all the rooms walls seemed to have been decorated with fake blood covered bricks, there was a series of gruesome chained up manikins around the room one of which was hanging from the sealing and the man on reception was wearing a rather intimidating wolf man mask.
Clarke moved to ask Bellamy what she didn't know but before she could voice a question she saw that he was already moving towards reception so she followed after him. 'Hay Roan,' Bellamy said reaching the reception desk greeting the wolf man 'you have any rooms free for me and my friend here,' this gave Clarke pause because hearing Bellamy call her a friend felt very strange.
'We always have rooms set up and free,' the wolf man who was apparently named Roan chuckled looking from Bellamy to Clarke as he spoke probably wondering if this was a date or something like that. 'We have a big room free if you want to go that way,' Roan added turning back to face Bellamy giving him a suggestive smirk, he was trying to help Bellamy impress her Clarke decided eyeing this little exchange.
'That sounds like a plan,' Bellamy laughed clearly enjoying himself now 'we will take it,' having said this he started sorting out paying Roan for whatever it was they were about to do but as he did so he looked over at Clarke. 'OK, Clarke,' he began smiling brightly 'a rage room is kind of like therapy I guess but not, the idea is it's natural to have aggression and what were about to do is a way of letting that aggression out in a healthy none criminal way.'
Bellamy laughed as he said this part and Clarke laughed too but she still had question 'so, what are we going to do Bellamy,' she asked as Bellamy handed Roan his bank card 'are we just going to be breaking things?'
'O, you are both going to do much more than that in this room,' Roan said smiling a kind a devious smile as he finished helping Bellamy pay and produced a machete and a hatchet.
Seeing these weapons scared Clarke a little bit but her defiance pushed her forward in that moment so straightening up she took the hatchet from Roan 'well that's enough with the chatting then, let's go.'
'She's fun,' Roan smirked looking over at Bellamy as he took the machete from him seemingly impressed by her response to him.
'You can be, you know,' Bellamy said smiling looking over at Clarke addressing her and beckoning for her to follow him as he took a step away from the desk.
'So can you,' Clarke gulped a little thrown off by the fact Bellamy had just given her a compliment following after him as he followed Roan down the corridor that led away from the reception area which had a bunch of doors in it. They hated each other, they argued all the time, they had never liked each other so it felt impossible that Bellamy was paying her compliments after such a short time in each other's company, maybe he just feels bad for her Clarke wondered.
As Clarke thought this over Roan stopped in front of a door which had a large nine on it causing both Bellamy and Clarke to stop and drawing Clarke's attention. 'Right,' he began 'I'd go over the rules but you've been here before Bellamy so I'm sure I can trust you to be responsible,' having said this Roan produced a key and unlocked the door beginning to open it but then stopped. 'Just a point of reference you two,' he said eyeing both of them with a warning expression on his face 'we have cameras in all the rooms for security and insurance reasons so bare that in mind please if you start to get carried away with each other.'
Having said this Roan opened the door fully revealing a vail of fake blood covered plastic but Clarke didn't move she was too shocked by what Roan had just said 'you can't be serious,' Clarke began her mouth falling open 'you can't mean what I think you mean there?'
'O no I do,' Roan laughed stepping away from them 'it's happened before; people really have ended up doing it in these rooms.'
Clarke wanted to press this subject further but Roan was already moving away from them back down the corridor and before she could do anything else Bellamy appeared giving her a slight push and ushering her forward. 'Sorry about Roan,' Clarke heard Bellamy say as she moved through the plastic 'he can be a bit, well you know but this places is a lot of fun and I'm sure you will enjoy it in here.'
Clarke would have countered that point her normal desire to go against whatever Bellamy Blake said being part of why she would have done that but getting a glimpse of the mid-sized room they were now in Clarke was right away distracted. The room it's self was painted black with the furniture black as well but that wasn't what really drew Clarke's attention that was the dozen zombies positioned at points around the room. They weren't real of course they were manikins made up to look like zombies but they all looked really good, they were each a mass of rotting flesh that looked like they could lumber towards them at any moment in search of brains.
'Wow,' Clarke chuckled as Bellamy closed the door understanding now what the place was and how it worked. A rage room was a place where you could break stuff without concern of consequences and really work out some anger also because it was Halloween there was the added fun of pretending to kill zombies. This is going to be fun Clarke thought looking around the room grinning, she was still feeling a lot of anger when it came to her now x girlfriend so this would be a good way to work all that out.
'Wow is the word,' Bellamy laughed theatrically stepping forward 'there's a zombie infestation in this room and someone is going to need to take care of it.'
'Allow me,' Clarke shouted running forward and going after a female zombie trying to imagine her cheating x's face as she started her attack. Double team Clarke heard Bellamy laugh behind her starting to go after another zombie but she was already getting into the swing of things so she for the time being forgot about him and everything just letting her self-feel everything that was within her right now. Bellamy had brought her here to well rage and after everything Clarke needed this so she was going to do that, tonight was not going to be a night where she was going to be the perfect princes everyone thought she was Clarke decided.
Bellamy Blake
For the most part Bellamy stayed away from Clarke as they both moved around the room pretending to kill zombies and then dismember them which splattered fake blood everywhere but he kept an eye on Clarke to make sure she was ok. To begin with Bellamy kept looking Clarke's way because he wanted to make sure Clarke wasn't about to have an accident or something last thing he needed was Clarke hurting herself but things soon changed. For reasons that were clear Clarke was really getting in to everything and moving around the room going after zombies swinging away at them without much thought for anything it seemed based on what was going on with her dress.
Clarke had been dressed as a sexy fairy to begin with so her dress had been reasonably short around her legs and Clarke's cleavage had certainly been noticeable, Bellamy didn't like Clarke like that but he was still a guy's so he was going to notice. This was why Bellamy found himself increasingly staring at Clarke beyond just the idea of checking she was ok in his mind because any guy would notice what was happening with Clarkes dress in his mind and find it hard to look away. He did not like Clarke Griffin, what was happening tonight with him trying to show her a good time would be a onetime thing but Bellamy didn't deny the fact that the princess was a rather good looking girl and he was getting quite a show of things as Clarke lost herself in rage.
Before they had come in here Clarke's dress and whole fairy getup had been extenuated with little fake flowers and other sparkly things but they were all gone now shaken lose along with her hair which wasn't braided anymore but was now a flowing shaken curled mass. This wasn't what drew Bellamy's as much as he tried to ovoid it attention though that was Clarke's dress, she hadn't realised it but Clarke's dress was now a bundle of tares, rips and smears of fake blood. Unfortunately for him or for Clarke depending on how you looked at it some tares had managed to start across Clarkes dress in some rather key places, around the base skirt part of her dress there had been quite a few rips meaning the dress was effectively overall much shorter now.
The dress had been rather short to begin with so Bellamy found it almost impossible not to get a good look at Clark's underwear when she bent down to attack parts of broken up zombies. That would have been uncomfortable enough for Bellamy but at it turned out Clarke was wearing a black lacy slip which was hard to ignore but it didn't end there though. A tare had started right in the centre of Clarke's dress and that coupled with the fact the princess had a reasonable amount of cleavage meant Clarke's dress was now falling around her shoulders quite a bit meaning her strapless corset bra which was black and lace as well was very visible. Overall this had the effect of making Clarke who still had her wings no longer look like a sexy fairy but instead like some kind of slutty killer nightmare dark fairy of death which Bellamy wouldn't say was a bad costume idea but it wasn't one he wanted to see the princess wearing in spite of how hard he found it not to look.
This all continued for a little while with Clarke smashing away at everything insight reducing the state of her costume by the minute and with Bellamy doing the same while trying not to look too much until things finally came to a head. They had both gotten to the last zombie and Bellamy had moved to take it down but Clarke had quickly stepped forward saying she had got this which Bellamy had allowed and after Clarke had swung at the zombie bringing it down she seemingly returned to her senses. Clarke had raged as the room suggested really let her self-go like Bellamy had encouraged her to do but now he could see she was coming down from a high and now finally seeing the state she had managed to get herself in to.
In spite of his discomfort at seeing the amount of Clarke he could see right now Bellamy couldn't help but grin as Clarke looked down at herself and actually began to blush, she's probably thinking this is un lady like Bellamy thought watching Clarke pull at parts of her now destroyed dress. As Clarke looked up at him Bellamy opened his mouth to mock but Clarke beat him to it a look of defiance spreading across her face 'what,' she challenged 'there is a lot more blood on you now as well Bellamy.'
'I know,' Bellamy laughed in truth he had gotten splashed by more than a bit of fake blood himself 'but I didn't accidentally tare what I'm wearing to ribbons.'
'This place had a lot of sharp edges,' Clarke countered still looking defiant 'and besides you don't know this was an accident, maybe I did this on purpose, maybe I wanted to change my costume.'
He should end it there, Bellamy knew he should, but that look of defiance in Clarke's face was just too much of a tempting challenge for him 'ok,' he grinned holding back a snigger as best he could 'say I believe you but if I did I could only assume you're planning on staying like that the rest of the night.'
Bellamy saw Clarke look momentarily uncertain for a moment here but that look was quickly replaced by defiance again 'that's exactly the plan Bellamy,' Clarke said taking a step forward showing herself to be ready to leave the rage room and go to the next place.
Seeing this determined look in Clarke's eyes sent a bit of a shiver down Bellamy's spine, he didn't like Clarke but his body was betraying him and responding to her beauty in a way Bellamy didn't like. He didn't let any of this show though, instead Bellamy bowed a theatrical bow and beckoned for Clarke to start moving 'lead the way princess,' he joked making an effort to hide his emotions with humour in this moment. 'In fact,' Bellamy added leaning back up pulling out his car keys 'why don't you drive princess, if you're self-assure enough to walk around like that I think I can trust you behind the wheel.'
'I'm happy to drive,' Clarke said taking the keys scowling as she spoke 'but don't mansplain to me about my driving ok, if you do I'll drive us in to a ditch.'
'Deal,' Bellamy smiled as Clarke moved towards the room's door following after her deciding to let Clarke win on this point. Moving at a quick pace now Bellamy followed after Clarke as she walked out of the rage room down the corridor and back out of the building in to the car park neither one of them saying a word. Interestingly Roan wasn't at the reception desk when they passed but Bellamy paid it no attention he was probably just seeing to things in one of the other rooms or something like that.
Get into the car Bellamy watched as Clarke started the car up and pulled them out, Bellamy knew women could drive that wasn't what this was, the thing was that he didn't usually let girls drive his car so this was unusual for him. 'I don't usually do this you know,' Bellamy remarked as Clarke pulled them out on to the street deciding he might as well admit this truth to Clarke, he was already letting her drive after all so why not do this.
'What do you mean,' Clarke asked her face turning curious now as she got them on to the main road and started heading in the direction of the university.
'I mean,' Bellamy sighed wondering if he had made the right call about this 'I don't really let girls I'm taking out drive my car, I know that's a bit of a cleshay but there it is.'
'There are a lot of country and pop songs in there I think,' Clarke giggled upon hearing this stopping the car at a set of lights 'also what do you mean by take out,' she added shooting him a suggestive wink.
Bellamy gulped, there it was, this may have started as a kindness to Clarke but the things the two of them were doing right now could only really be described one way. 'Well,' Bellamy shrugged not knowing what to say here 'you know what I mean by take-out but in terms of what that means for what this is that we're doing right now I don't know, I mean it's not like either of us would want to date the other.'
'We don't need to put a label on this Bellamy,' Clarke smiled as the lights changed and she pulled the car off again 'in fact I think its best we don't.'
'All kinds of songs there to be written I think,' Bellamy sniggered making an attempt to change the subject on to something that was less awkward for the two of them.
'Definitely,' Clarke nodded still smiling as she kept the car moving 'the two of us probably have a lot of songs in mind for the night we are having and could inspire a whole lot more.'
'I'm sure,' Bellamy agreed smiling 'some of those really angry songs, like an angry break up song.'
'You listen to angry break up songs Bellamy,' Clarke asked a note of incredulity in her voice mixed with bemused shock.
'Male singers sing those two you know,' Bellamy said quickly realising the implications of what he had just said to Clarke.
'Yeah,' Clarke giggled slowing the car as they got close to the university which they had agreed to go to next Bellamy remembered 'but I have a feeling that's not the break up songs your talking about.' Clarke gave a quick glance here and whatever she saw must have confirmed it in her mind 'who is it Bellamy,' she teased smiling a bright beautiful smile 'who do you listen too, it's not Taylor swift is it?' Bellamy just rolled his eyes here which was enough for Clarke to know she had got it in one Bellamy could tell 'I can't believe it,' she squealed delighted 'Bellamy Blake listens to Taylor swift, Bellamy fucking Blake.'
'There are a few songs of hers I like ok,' Bellamy said trying to get himself out of this 'my sister played her stuff a lot when we were kids and I kind of got to like a few of her songs.' Clarke didn't respond to this instead just sending him a very smug look as she got them close to the university 'o come on,' Bellamy tried again 'I'm sure there are some stereotypical guys songs you like to listen to sometimes.
'Sure there are,' Clarke began stopping for some people who were running across the street but that was as far as they got because right then they saw that the group of people running in front of them included Finn and Raven. There were three of them, Finn was a head who looked half crazed and was holding the book as well, Raven as well as for some reason Indra were behind him running after him for some reason both of them looked very concerned.
'Do you think we should do something,' Bellamy asked Clarke watching them rush past the car and back the way they had come from.
Well there is a choice to be made there people, what do you all think would be the smart and good choice to make?
