Note: There isn't much for me to say here, so I'm making this note as short as I can. Before we move on, I'm saying something to three reviewers.

Big Bossk Man 92: I figured that Atkinson got off easier than she should of in Daddy's Little Vixen, so I brought her back to give her more of a punishment. Not even becoming a boxer saved her. As for Falco, it might be hard for him to tell everyone what he heard from the call. That is unless they also received it.

The White Wolf named Alex: Thanks, I hope that you like this chapter as well.

Ron: I honestly felt that Atkinson needed more karma, which is why I had Maria fight her. Maybe she'll think twice about talking tough against the Lucky Rabbit. In fact, she's just lucky that she didn't end up like Claudia King.

Now that I've done that, it's time for chapter eleven.

Chapter 11: Strangers to Opponents

Walking to the gym on Monday, Katt felt the summer breeze in her fur. It was perfectly warm outside, to the point where she wanted to walk around naked. However, knowing that it was illegal, the pink cat did not do it. The feline was wearing her gym clothes, having changed when she was at her house. She found it unnecessary to drag two sets of clothes to a gym, seeing as she was bound to sweat no matter what she did. While the gym didn't mind, she knew that there were some boxers who would think otherwise.

The moment she reached the door, Katt saw Maria practicing on a punching bag. The Lucky Rabbit wasn't going rough on it, but each punch she threw made it fall back. For the most part, she was doing jabs and hooks, but she occasionally did a cross. Entering the gym, Katt was careful enough to not distract anyone from what they were doing. The pink cat only walked up to Maria, who was now mainly throwing crosses.

"Hi hon!" Katt greeted.

Upon hearing her voice, Maria stopped practicing. The rabbit wiped sweat off of her brow, having been pounding on the punching bag for quite some time. Katt put a hand on her shoulder, wanting to be friendly.

"Want to go get a drink?" She asked.

"I'm not thirsty." Maria said.

"Are you sure?" Katt asked.

"Yes." The rabbit said. "I'm going to go sit down."

Standing to the side, Katt allowed Maria to pass her. As she watched the Lucky Rabbit head over to relax for a bit, the pink cat went to the punching bag. Pounding on it, she practiced her strategy. Having yet to use it in an official match, the feline wanted to be as careful as she could. She occasionally strengthened her punches, but was still careful enough to not knock it off the hook. Katt was so occupied with the punching bag, she ignored her telepathy signaling that someone was approaching her.

"Katt?"

Ceasing her punches, Katt turned around and saw Steve standing near.

"Hello Steve!" She greeted. "I haven't spoken to you in a while!"

"Put it aside, you're still in some hot water." Steve said. "Apparently, having the General share the autopsy on Hill still isn't enough for his family and a few dedicated fans to forgive you."

"Oh my, this is going to be tough!" Katt said.

"Not only that, but people have been calling you 'Killer Katt' and 'Deadly Beauty' because of what happened." The wolf said.

"But only one person died when I fought him." The pink cat said.

"The public doesn't seem to agree." The lupine said. "With the other boxers in the tournament doing their best to avoid you, it looks like you've struck fear into everyone. Until you can prove that you're not too dangerous in your next battle, you're going to be seen as the deadliest boxer on Corneria!"

"Is there a battle scheduled?" The feline asked.

"Maria's got a match tomorrow. Other than that, nothing else has come up."

"I hope that Maria wins!"

"If you think that she can't, then you might be surprised when you see her fight. While you were gone, she was racking up victories like there was no tomorrow."

"I know, she told me!"

"With that being said, I'm going to leave you alone. See you around!"

"See ya, Steve!"

Now that she was alone again, Katt went back to practicing on the punching bag. When the evening rolled around, the pink cat stopped practicing and decided to head home. Flying back to her house, she had dinner and got a shower. After getting dressed in her night clothes, the feline climbed into bed. She found herself falling asleep, drifting off into a dream.

I feel kinda bad for not wanting to go to Maria's match tomorrow, but I feel like she has it in the bag! Katt thought to herself.

On Tuesday, Falco had told everyone about the call he had received. Needless to say, they were sad to hear the bad news. However, at the same time, they weren't surprised, given what Falco's family was like. Peppy in particular was sad, but the news didn't seem like anything big to him. As for Fox and Slippy, they were sad, trying to show sympathy to their teammate. Krystal, on the other hand, gave the pheasant a hug, feeling sympathetic for him.

"Falco, I'm so sorry." The cobalt vixen spoke.

"It's alright, guys." Falco said, depressed. "I knew that this was going to happen, but I didn't want to admit it."

"Do you want us to be your emotional support?" Fox asked.

"No," the pheasant said, "but you're free to come. Just don't say anything bad."

"When have we ever said something bad around your family?" Slippy asked.

"Remember when you said that my sister looked like a witch because she hadn't showered for a week?" The avian asked.

"Oh come on, I was just trying to be nice!" The toad complained.

"Slippy, you don't call someone a witch because they look filthy!" Peppy stated. "Besides, she hadn't been showering because she got lost in the woods."

"She's only lucky we found her before someone else did." Krystal said.

"Anyway," Falco interrupted, "I guess that I should just have Fox and Krystal come with me. Peppy, we can tell you how it went."

"Okay." Peppy said. "When's it being held?"

"Next week." The pheasant said. "We've got plenty of time."

"Then we'll be there." Fox said.

"And we won't say anything bad." Krystal stated.

A little bit later, Falco and Peppy were the only ones in the main room. The two sat on the couch as they spoke, deciding to carry on for the time being.

"There's another match in the tournament tonight, want to go?" Peppy asked.

"No, why?" Falco asked.

"Because the lady who fought over the weekend is fighting tonight." The hare said.

"Who?" The pheasant asked.

"You know, the Lucky Rabbit!" The lepus said.

"She's fighting tonight?" The avian spoke. "I didn't know that she was a boxer!"

"Yeah, but she took down that one who used to be a teacher! And she was racking up victories for weeks! If that's not impressive, I don't know what is!"

"Peppy, any boxer can have an impressive winning streak. Look, can we just stay here? I'm kinda not in the mood for watching a boxing match at the moment."

"I understand, you're depressed. Maybe we can see one after that thing of yours."

"Yeah, maybe."

Peppy got up from the couch and walked away, leaving Falco by himself. The pheasant was alone for his thoughts until the evening rolled around. Despite being depressed, he mustered up enough strength to share what was keeping him down for the time being. The team was there for the avian, even when there were times he wanted to be alone. Now, he was perfectly fine with being around them when he was sad. With the attitude he was in, Falco would have even been happy to hang around with Fara and Sabre, considering Fara's pregnancy.

On Wednesday, Katt was doing some sit-ups at the gym. Earlier in the morning, she was lifting weights and doing some stretches. As she exercised, the pink cat overheard the others talking about the outcome of last night's match. Throughout the whole thing, Maria did not hold back. While her opponent did manage to knock her down twice, and even blocked several attacks, the Lucky Rabbit triumphed over her. In only two rounds, the doe knocked her opponent out of the tournament, to the surprise of the audience.

After getting up from the floor, Katt decided to go get a drink. Her water bottle was in her bag, so it wasn't hard to look for it. The moment she got it out, the pink cat practically guzzled the water. She was just so thirsty, with the exercises making her lose her breath. The feline sensed someone approaching her with her telepathy, but she knew it was okay. It didn't even take psionic abilities to notice the gray fur.

"Katt, where were you last night?" Maria asked.

Putting her water bottle back in her bag, Katt decided to speak with the Lucky Rabbit.

"I was just doing stuff at my house." She spoke. "I figured that you had your match in the bag, so I didn't attend. After all, you managed to win it!"

"Yeah, but it wasn't a breeze!" Maria said. "My opponent was tough as nails, so I had to give it my all against her! And I was knocked down twice!"

"At least you won!" Katt said. "Didn't think that an opponent that tough would only last for two rounds."

"Me neither, but she went down after an uppercut in the chin!" The rabbit said. "Now that I've gotten that out of the way, I need a new opponent!"

"And I need to fight someone to show that I'm not too dangerous for the tournament!" The pink cat said.

"Looks like we're both in a bit of a rut." The lepus said.

For a moment, Katt thought to herself. Who was she going to fight in her first match back? And who was Maria going to fight in her next one? Knowing that both of them were stuck at the moment, Katt got an idea.

"Maybe we could have a match." She spoke.

"That's a good idea, but I don't know if Simms would like to hear it." Maria said.

"Go ask him, he might set it up." Katt said.

Maria then walked off, going to look for Mr. Simms. When she came back, the rabbit told Katt that Mr. Simms had set up the match for the weekend. However, in order to get themselves ready for it, they would spar tomorrow. While that didn't seem exciting to Katt, she knew that it would help her. The pink cat promised Maria that she would arrive at the gym as quick as she could. No matter what happened, she would not let anything keep her from coming.

After all, the sparring would be a drop in the bag for her, wouldn't it?

On Thursday, Katt entered the gym, eager to get the sparring match out of the way. Before leaving the house, she had a quick breakfast consisting of a granola bar and a glass of water. The pink cat even made herself a sandwich and put it in her bag, having it in case she wound up having lunch at the gym. As soon as she entered the arena, the feline put her bag on the bleachers. While her telepathy told her that no one would steal it, she was still cautious. Hopefully, someone would speak up if it were about to be stolen.

Standing in the ring were Maria and Mr. Simms. Upon seeing them, Katt walked up to the ring. Climbing in, the pink cat got her boxing gloves on. She walked up to the coach and her sparring partner, the latter of whom looked happy to see her. Before they could begin, the feline looked at Mr. Simms.

"Can you go watch my bag?" She spoke. "I know that no one here is a thief, but I don't want to lose it."

"Watching your bag?" Mr. Simms spoke. "The last time I was asked to watch a woman's bag was when my wife and I were out at dinner."

"Just go watch it!" Maria said. "Blow the whistle, too!"

Nodding his head, Mr. Simms complied. He walked out of the ring, heading over to the bleachers. Once they were alone, Katt and Maria were ready to begin.

"Ready?" Maria asked.

"Ready!" Katt said.

Once the whistle was blown, Katt and Maria began their sparring match. To begin, Maria threw a left hook at Katt, which hit her in the shoulder. In response, the pink cat delivered an uppercut to the rabbit's abdomen. The doe didn't go down after the attack. Rather, she hit her opponent in the mouth with a right jab. After receiving the attack, Katt found her mouth filling with blood.

Every time she threw a punch, Katt aimed for Maria's chest or abdomen. It was to the point where she redirected a punch that was aimed towards the Lucky Rabbit's head. The pink cat kept using her strategy, only for the rabbit to block and dodge each punch that came her way. After a few more interrupted punches, the feline thought about rethinking her strategy. The way she was doing it wasn't working as well as she thought it would. Before she could attack, Maria stopped her.

"Why are you aiming for my gut?" She asked. "Does this have something to do with your fight with Hill?"

"I'm just worried about hurting you!" Katt said.

"Katt, I've dealt with worse!" Maria said. "Who cares if you hit me in the head? I'm not a retired athlete who put too much stress on their body like Hill was, so you don't have to hold back! Just don't go too rough on your opponents!"

Maria's words got through to Katt, as she began aiming some of her attacks at the Lucky Rabbit's face. The pink cat and the rabbit continued to trade blows, hitting each other for as long as they could. As neither of them would go down, the sparring match ended in a tie. However, Maria was the de facto winner, as she had more points than Katt. This, combined with the pink cat's hesitation, was something everyone in the room agreed on. Mr. Simms even wrote down the results on his clipboard, deciding to submit them later.

Exiting the ring, Katt and Maria promised that they would see each other at the match. They even planned to exercise and train, hoping to stay fit before they fought.

On Saturday, Katt arrived at the gym early, hoping to practice before the match began. In order to do so, she pounded on a punching bag, testing her speed and strength. After doing that, she went down the hallway that led to the arena, eager to get the match over with. When she entered the room, she saw Maria sitting in her corner, as well as the Referee. Climbing into the ring, Katt sat down in her corner, waiting for the match to begin.

"Welcome to the match of the night, ladies and gentlemen!" The Announcer spoke. "Now that the fighters are here, we will introduce them! In the right corner, having come back from a mission with the CDF, it's the Lucky Rabbit herself: Maria Fairweather!"

Maria stood up and raised her right hand in the air, waving to the audience. She walked up to the Referee as the Announcer continued speaking.

"And in the left corner, making her return after a few weeks worth of an absence, it's Katt Monroe!" The Announcer stated.

Standing up, Katt waved at the audience. While she was met with applause, there were some who were booing and jeering. Paying them no mind, the pink cat went up to the Referee, getting face to face with Maria.

"May the best boxer win!" Katt spoke.

"Yeah!" Maria said.

Bumping their gloves, Katt and Maria began the match. For her opening move, Maria threw a left jab at her opponent, hitting her in the face. The Lucky Rabbit followed it up with a right hook, hitting her opponent in the side. Katt stumbled back, but she regained her composure. The pink cat hit her opponent in the gut with an uppercut. After that, she delivered a left hook to the doe's face.

Now that Katt had attacked, Maria decided to repay the favor. She delivered a right jab to the pink cat's gut, causing her to groan in pain. In response, the feline threw a cross at her opponent, aiming for the face. Not to be outdone, the Lucky Rabbit threw a jab, hoping to knock her opponent back. However, the two wound up in a Cross Counter. Once they broke free, Katt was ready to unleash an uppercut, only for the bell to ring.

With the first round over, Katt and Maria went back to their corners. They waited for the next round to begin, hoping to continue on.

"That was an impressive display, wasn't it?" The Announcer spoke. "Monroe and Fairweather appear to be equally matched, to the point where it seems like one will have to quit holding back! Who will win, ladies and gentlemen?"

Once the second round began, Katt and Maria began to pummel each other again. To begin, Katt hit Maria in the abdomen with a right jab and delivered an uppercut to the chin. The Lucky Rabbit tried to deliver a left jab, only for it to be blocked. Seeing her chance, the pink cat hit her opponent in the side with a left hook. The lepus threw an uppercut, but the feline dodged it. With her telepathy, Katt was able to keep her opponent from hitting her.

However, before Katt could attack again, Maria hit her in the gut with a jab. She followed this with an uppercut and two hooks, all of which hit her opponent in the face. The pink cat tried to dodge, but the Lucky Rabbit was immediately on her tail. She was hit in the gut with an uppercut, which made her dazed. The feline was then knocked down with a left hook. She landed on her back, hitting the floor of the ring.

"Ten!" The Referee started his countdown. "Nine! Eight! Seven! Six!"

Shaking her head, Katt got up. From there, she resumed the match. Before Maria could hit her with a right hook, the pink cat dodged it. The feline punched her opponent in the gut, following it up with a left hook to the face. The Lucky Rabbit tried to attack, but her opponent didn't let her recover. Without hesitation, Katt delivered an uppercut, hitting her opponent in the chin. Maria collapsed, landing on her side. Upon seeing this, the Referee went over and began his countdown.

"Ten!" He spoke. "Nine! Eight! Seven! Six! Five! Four! Three!"

Maria pulled herself back up, showing that she wasn't out yet. The Lucky Rabbit walked back up to Katt and hit her in the side with a right hook. Before anything else could happen, the bell rang. With the second round over, the two went back to their corners. Once she sat down, Katt saw Fara and Sabre approaching the ring.

"Hey guys, what's up?" Katt greeted.

"You're putting up a better fight than I thought!" Sabre spoke. "I was honestly worried that Maria would kill you!"

"Don't worry, hon, Maria and I aren't being too rough on each other!" The pink cat said.

"Be careful, I saw Maria break a board in half with her barehands one time!" Fara warned.

"In that case, I'll just dodge and block more than I usually do!" The feline said.

The bell rang, which meant that it was time for the next round.

"And it's time for the final round, ladies and gentlemen!" The Announcer spoke. "The previous round went to Katt Monroe, as she had managed to nearly punch the Lucky Rabbit out of the ring! Will she win the match, or will Fairweather knock her down? Stay tuned to find out!"

Now that they were up, Katt and Maria began to fight again. With it being the final round, the two did not show mercy to each other. To begin with, Maria threw punch after punch, each of them being jabs. Before the Lucky Rabbit could throw a left hook, Katt caught it and pushed it aside. The pink cat then hit her opponent in the chin with an uppercut. The doe stumbled back, leaving her open for a right jab to the gut.

In response to the attacks she had received, Maria delivered a right hook to Katt's side. After that, she threw an uppercut at the pink cat, hitting her in the abdomen. With her opponent's guard down, the Lucky Rabbit threw two jabs and two hooks, hitting her in the face and abdomen. Not wanting to go down, the feline dodged a left jab and delivered an uppercut to the lepus. This hit her in the abdomen, causing her to stumble back. Seeing her opportunity, Katt hit Maria in the side with a left hook.

With time running out, Katt and Maria knew that they had to wrap this up. In order to take down her opponent, Maria threw a right hook. In response, Katt threw a cross, hoping to stop the attack. This caused the pink cat and the rabbit to get into another Cross Counter. However, once they broke free, the lepus stumbled back. Seeing that, the feline delivered an uppercut. Maria collapsed from this attack, causing the Referee to come over to her.

As the Referee did his countdown, Katt watched in anticipation, hoping that her attack was enough. Once he reached ten, the Referee announced that the winner of the match was Katt. He raised the pink cat's hand in the air, causing the audience to break out into applause. Maria was helped up by Steve, with him offering her his hand. However, she went over to her opponent, holding out her hand.

"Put it there, Monroe!" Maria spoke.

"Yeah, you too!" Katt said as she shook the rabbit's hand. "That was more exciting than I realized! Thank you, hon!"

"You're not too shabby yourself, Katt!" The Lucky Rabbit said. "I'll see you!"

Maria was escorted out of the ring by Steve and Mr. Simms. After that, Katt stepped out of the ring and went outside. Getting in her ship, the pink cat decided to fly home, hoping to get some rest for the night. The feline was surprised that she was able to defeat Maria. The Lucky Rabbit was a formidable opponent who would've crushed her if she hadn't trained.

I should be lucky I have been learning from each fight! Katt thought to herself Otherwise, I'd be dead now!

Meanwhile, at Corneria City Prison, a mink inmate was watching the outcome of the match on a TV that was in her cell. She was surprised at seeing an amateur like Katt Monroe bringing down the Lucky Rabbit.

"Hey, check it out!" The mini said to her cell mate. "That Katt Monroe chick beat another opponent!"

The mink's cell mate walked over to her, seeing the images on the TV. Her cell mate was a brown bear with green eyes and a clover tattoo on her arm. The bear scoffed at what she saw.

"She don't look so tough!" She said. "I can take her on!"

Note: Oh boy, looks like Katt might have a new opponent on the rise. However, how would a prisoner enter a tournament? I don't know, but she seems confident that she can beat Katt. Until next time guys, this is Newcomer24, signing off. Peace!
