One week later, and Izuku finally gave the go-ahead for his friends to visit him, he had refused day after day, not wanting them to worry as he felt he had done after the summer camp attack. But as luck would have it his approval coincided with some positive news. the doctors had found that Izukus body was becoming less brittle but the process was slow, he couldn't walk or use his quirk, but he could move his limbs allowing him to stretch and write for a short period of time and his skin was now unlikely to crack from these movements however excessive movement or contact was still a risk. despite this positive news however Izuku still wasn't in his usual mood, even when his mother arrived, he tried to smile, but it wouldn't come.

"Now class, I know your first reaction will be to rush towards Izuku to give him a much-needed hug but I implore you all to show restraint. His body is still under the effects of the villain's quirk as such I expect everyone to take great care when you see Izuku, is that clear?" Aizawa stated sternly, as he stood in the waiting room of the hospital, with the entirety of class 1A standing in silence as he spoke except for Bakugo who was nowhere to be seen.

.

The class had spent the week preparing a class hamper, filled with gifts, food and activities that would help Izuku deal with the boredom of sitting in a hospital bed for days on end.

"Shota Aizawa, you and your class can see Izuku, ill take you all to him and, please take care. Follow me." a nurse stated as she took the class to Izukus room.

The room was plain, nothing stood out in the pure white interior, besides was a few seats and a table. Toshinori was seated next to Izukus bed on the left-hand side, a coffee in hand. His gaunt appearance made more apparent by the sagging of his shirt,

"Midoriya, hey man!" Kirishima bellowed as soon as entered the room barging past the rest of the class to see Izuku.

"Hey, Kirshimia..." Ikuku said weakly forcing a weak smile.

"Hey, how you feel... Kirishima raised his hand ready to give his good friend a mighty handshake to show his support, only to hear a loud cough and a worried gasp come from the rest of the class while Toshinori sprung to his feet as if he was ready to rugby tackle Kirishima.

"

"Kirshimia I know your enthusiasm is warranted but remember what I said?" Aizawa sternly stated, his gaze like that of a statue, glaring into your soul.

"Oh sorry, sir...so how you feeling" Kirishima muttered apologetically, turning to Aizawa as he spoke to then suddenly turn to Izuku and smile in his distinctive toothy grin.

"I'm, okay...Really tired. What about you" Izuku yawned

"No wonder given what we went through. Yeah man, I'm fine, turns out my quirk made it harder for the villain to affect, from what I was told my quirk neutralised his quirks effect because I can increase the hardness of my body."

"That makes sense." Izuku slowly nodded as he did so Ochako and Iida stood at either side of his hospital bed. Followed closely by the rest of the class

"It's good to see you Izuku, I hope your feeling okay," Ochakao asked, her eyes not focused on Izuku either out of worry or shyness, Izuku couldn't tell

"I've felt better, I'm sorry for worrying you all... Izukus eyes dropped from his friends to focus on his bedsheets

"You don't need to apologise for anything. You and Kirshimia had to fight to save your lives..." Iida stated

"I know but... " Izuku tried to interject only to be interrupted by Mina

"And it's not bad to worry about your friends, you should have seen us when we found out you were in the hospital."

"We went full panic mode! Which reminds me, we clubbed together to get you this" Denki lifted the care package, which was being held in a large wicker basket, with blue ribbons tied to the handle and at the centrepiece of the care package was the star of the show.

"We club together to get you lots of things Midoria...the melon was my idea!" Mineta chirped in trying to take credit for the melon, only to get shoves and jabs from several classmates.

"You didn't need to..." Izuku mumbled weakly, feeling tears well in his eyes causing them to sting.

"We care deeply for you Midoriya. Your strength passion and vigour are admirable and are inspiring to witness, and it wouldn't be right to not show you the same courtesy when you are in need of help." Tokoyami stated, with Dark Shadow deciding to make an appearance, giving Izuku a thumbs up.

"You guys... sorry," Izuku whimpered as he started crying apologising as he carefully wipes his eyes the skin around his eyes bringing to become inflamed with contact from his tears due to small cracks that had formed around the eyelids. Momo produced a handkerchief to give Izuku to help wipe his eyes, but Aizawa slowly shook his head.

"His skin is too fragile to wipe his eyes with a simple cotton hankerchief...no wonder we were told to be careful when we arrived. If his skin is this easily damaged we need to be as careful possible when he comes back to the dorms." Momo thought as she saw the Izuku grimacing due to the pain in his eyes before retracting the handkerchief

"Sorry...where's Kacchan?" Izuku sniffled, looking around the room to see the distinctive ash-blonde teen

"We tried to convince him to come, but you know Bakugo..." Kirishima stated trying to make light of this but he knew it wasn't enough.

"He's as stubborn as a mule..." Iida grumbled, not caring for Bakugos manner or approach especially to his friend.

"And has the temperament of an angry chihuahua" Kaminanra added, with some in the class looking at him, either seeing it as a joke to lighten the mood or to perfectly describe Bakugos behaviour.

"A rather apt description," Tokoyami grumbled.

"Yeah, I guess so..." Izuku whispered, his gaze again focused on his bed, his voice now far weaker than before disheartened by the seeming lack of care his friend had for him.

There was a pregnant silence. Which was only broken when Recovery Girl entered the room, her syringe cane tapping on the ground.

"Oh, hello everyone, I hope your all well." Recovery Girl Chipped as she slowly made her way to Izukus bedside.

"Hello Reovcery girl." the class replied, moving out of the way give Recovery Girl room to move.

"I see that you're keeping our Izuku company, that's good to see. I know it must be boring sitting in a hospital room with nothing much to do."

"Not really...All Mights been here to keep me company..."

"He's been asking me to tell him stories from my golden age since he woke up.." Toshinori joked,

"I wasn't that bad, was I?" Izuku whimpered.

"Oh no no! young Midoriya. " Toshinrio replied worried he had hurt Izukuis feelings.

Ever since he met Izuku Toshinori knew he was a fanboy ever since he read his hero guidebook on the fateful day they met. He had seen through their time together that Izuku had the traits and gifts that made him the perfect recipient for One For All, despite his lack of a quirk. He had a keen mind and a selfless attitude that pushed towards acts of heroism even if it was a risk to himself. He had seen his successor push through barriers that he had never imagined would arise and with every barrier he broke, the stronger Izuku grew and the more heroic he became. Though the encounter with Glass had left Izuku in a state that would leave most people in a position to give up on their dreams, he knew Izuku would go beyond this limit and become stronger. He just needed help.

"I was just joking Izuku, I didn't mind, in fact, it was quite fun, reminiscing on my golden years," Toshinri stated, noticing the sadness in Izukus eyes, reminding him of the loss he saw in his successor's eyes when Bakugo had been captured by the League of Villains.

"Ummm, Recovery girl?" Ochako chirped, as the Recovery girl looked over the machines monitoring Izukus vitals.

"Yes, Ochako what is it?" Recovery Girl looked to Uraraka, with a small smile on her face.

"I was wondering, when will Izuku be allowed to leave?" Uraraka asked in a sheepish tone.

"Well...Izukus body is showing signs that the quirk is dissipating as he can move his body and do light tasks without much risk of harming himself, but, we are still airing on the side of caution as we are still trying to figure out a way to reverse the effects of the quirks... "

"Why not ask Eri? Aizawa told us her quirk could reverse quirks when she arrived on campus in case she activated it, why not use her quirk to heal Izuku?" Todoriki stated in his usual monotone voice.

"We thought about it but she still lacks control over her quirk, which could result in Izuku being unnecessarily harmed. on top of that, Eri could hurt many more if we aren't careful. It would be best to let the quirk dissipate with time." Aizawa stated, resulting in an audible groan coming from the class.

"I am hopeful that Izuku will be able to leave in a week, his body is showing signs of the quirk weakening but, we'll just have to wait and see." Recovery Girl chirped, trying to return the room to a more cheery atmosphere.

"Well that isn't too long, fingers crossed that it's a week" Mina beamed raising her hand and crossing her fingers. This soon resulted in the rest of the class following suit, with Shoji taking this to the extreme, by producing a number of hands and crossing their fingers.

With this sight in front of him, Izuku smiled with no attempt to force it, this was as pure a smile as he could muster.

Ever since he found out he was quirkless he had never had any friends, other than Kachaan and even that friendship was far from what he wished it to be. He had been alone with only his mother to support him but since he got One For All his life had been turned around, he had friends who cared for him, he was being trained by his idol, and most importantly he had a quirk that allowed him to be a hero.

"I'm so lucky," Izuku mumbled to himself catching the ever-vigilant ears of Iida.

"What did you say Izuku?" Iida asked, the class looking to Izuku who was starting to blush and get flustered.

"Oh uh, it was nothing!"

"Come on Midoryia, you can trust us." Kirishima smiled

Izuku looked around the class, noticing the smiling faces of his friends before speaking

"I was telling myself that I am so lucky... I didn't have many friends when I was at school because people thought I was quirkless, turns out I was a late bloomer. I was so lonely before I came to UA until I met you all. you've all been so kind and friendly, I, I couldn't have asked for a better group of friends." Izuku sighed, resulting in a multitude of emotions from the class, from the surprised gaze of Momo and Iida at the thought of Izuku being lonely, to the grin of Kaminaria and Sero who were happy to have made Izukus time at UA easier.

"Oh Izuku, you cutie. If you were fine right now id be giving you a big hug!" Mina bellowed, hugging herself as she spoke with Mineta looking back and forth between her and Izuku, a look of envy on his face.

"It's the least we could do for such a good friend," Iida stated almost placing his hand on Izukus shoulder before pulling it back before he made contact.

"Thanks, yous guys," Izuku stated as the class circled around his bed and continued to chat amongst themselves, returning for a while to normality. All of them hoping Izuku would be out soon.
