"I can't believe we ended up in the same city, shishishi," laughed Lucky

"Haha yeah, what a coincidence I didn't think we'd see each other so soon," replied Sabo

"Oiiiii, help me pick out a hat, a real good looking one, not like Sabo's fancy dumb top hat," Ace said snickering.

"Ah, we lost our older siblings too, and sure, I wanna buy snacks and tea and maybe I'll buy a hat too, shishishi," Lucky added.

"Ha yeah, then all three of us will have hats! Though my top hat isn't dumb Ace, you just don't have any taste." Sabo said raising his nose in the air and then promptly burst out laughing as did the other two boys with him.

"Let's go before Perona catches up," Lucky said after laughing. "We have Marco, as a tag along," Ace added.

"What's Perona like?" Sabo asked.

"Super annoying, shishishi" laughed Lu. Somewhere, Perona sneezed which caused her to bump into Marco who thought she was attacking, and the misunderstanding led to a brawl that shut down a section of the town.

"But she's the best big sister ever! She always explains things to me over and over until I understand and shows me the best hand-to-hand fighting moves. Perona is very protective, when I was little, lots of people tried kidnapping me but she was always there to defend me. Though, I grew stronger than her in no time. She always wants to talk about 'cute' things though. But, I'd cut anyone that would try to harm her," finished Luffy.

"Wow, I think that's the most I've ever heard you say," Ace responded.

"Acee, have some more tact," said Sabo as he elbowed Ace. "Though Lucky I'm not sure how your sister would react to hearing you call her annoying, hahaha," Sabo chuckled.

"She knows it's true but she would definitely hit me," Luffy deadpanned.

"So what's Marco like?" asked Lu after the three were done laughing.

"He's pretty cool but like Perona can be pretty annoying sometimes, he's so strict most of the time and somehow gets away with every prank and I never know how he does it," Ace said frowning at the end, he could never catch him in the act.

Sabo laughed, "you're just sore because he almost always catches you, Ace, hahaha.

"Oi, he does not!" fumed Ace

Sabo laughed even harder and Lucky just chuckled at Sabo's amusement and Ace's pouting.

"Marco's awesome, he's a great navigator and healer and is teaching me a lot of things. He's also a great combat fighter, his kicks are very powerful. He saved us plenty of times when Ace was being especially stupid," Sabo said as Ace cut him off, "Oi, you're the one who gets caught first most of the time because you're so slow!" exclaimed Ace

"Oi, it's mostly your fault Ace, but anyways Marco is super loyal and he makes a great older brother to all of our shipmates," finished Sabo

"What Sabo said," grunted Ace

"Ha, not one sensitive bone in your body, eh?" chuckled Sabo, Ace shot him a glare and playfully bumped shoulders with Sabo, a small smile gracing his face.

Lucky had never laughed so much until he met Ace and Sabo.

As they were busy looking at hats, the boys were being watched by several local children.

"You saw their money pouches, right, they look pretty fat to me," whispered Kebi.

"Yeah, I say we help them carry it, hehe," smirked Natto.

On the other side of the road, Okame, gave the two boys a signal while another girl gave two other boys a nod as well. At once, a group of kids descended on the three boys.

Meanwhile, Ace, Sabo and Lucky had made eye contact at some point and a silent message they all seemed to understand passed between them.

It was a flurry of furious kicks and punches and the local kids were left beat up in a pile.

"Well, that was easy," said Sabo, wiping his hands of dusty sand that seemed to get everywhere.

"Ha. We didn't even need to use our pipes," said Ace smirking.

"Barely counted as a workout," scoffed Lucky.

The boys in the pile were groaning and trying to get oriented, in spite of the headaches and the spinning.

"Oi, wait a minute," said Sabo, patting his pockets, "my pockets seem lighter," he said, horrified looking at Ace. Ace turned to Sabo, "my pockets are empty too," he whispered.

Lucky was the only one unconcerned as he somehow managed to avoid being pickpocketed.

"How in the Hell did we get pickpocketed," yelled Ace, grabbing Sabo roughly, "we're thieves for Enel's sake, arghhh," he finished.

"I guess our time away from Grey terminal and exploring High town for easy pickings made us dull, we haven't been stealing as much as we used to, we don't really need the money," Sabo said, pushing Ace away.

"Dammit, on our honor as thieves, we must do something," stomped Ace.

"Ehh, you were pick pocketed?," asked Luffy.

"You weren't!?" yelled Ace

"No, I must be Lucky, shishishi," Lu laughed. Ace set him on fire.

All three turned to look menacingly at the boys in the pile.

"So, that little brawl served as a distraction while the thieves expertly slipped in and out without us noticing, not bad, not bad," Ace said, nodding along.

"But Sabo and I have also been stealing for a long time, you caught us a little rusty but believe me, it won't happen again, now tell me, where can I find your base, huh," asked Ace, setting his fists on fire.

The boys on the ground all trembled. Lucky stood gripping a sword in each hand while Sabo was twisting a pipe around in his hand.

"So, your answer?," asked Ace

Erik yelled, "Never! The Suna Suna Clan never betrays a friend!" "Hurrah!" yelled three other boys. They all stood up again ready to fight and this time brought out their weapons.

Lucky took out one sword and in one fell swoop cut their crudely made weapons in pieces while Ace and Sabo knocked them down.

"Where is your base?" asked Ace

"We won't betray our friends," Erik, Natto, Kebi, and Udon all said at the same time.

"Hmpf, well, let's take you to the edge of town and wait there. IF, and that's a big if, that they prove as loyal as you, the Boss will come looking for you. So, does anyone have some rope? " said Ace

"I do, let's tie them up," answered Sabo, opening his jacket, pulling a rope out of one of his many pockets. "

"Let's tie some cloth around their mouths too, they might give a signal without us knowing, if they haven't already," Ace said kicking the pile of boys.

"You guys sure do know a lot about these types of things," exclaimed Lucky, partly amazed at their forethought.

"We grew up in a rough town Lucky, you pick up a few things, like getting stronger and always being prepared for anything," Sabo said, emptying his shoe of a roll of beli.

"I'm actually hungry first, hahaha," Sabo said, "This mess made ME hungry, ha, let's go Ace, let's pull them along and get some food," Sabo said, turning to him.

"Let's try a few food stands and get drinks, I really need water, " Lucky said, his voice scratchy from the dryness.

"Yeah water sounds good, it's so hot here," Sabo said

"Haha, the weather doesn't bother me," Ace boasted.

"Oi, don't be annoying about it, Ace, of course you're fine," Sabo rolled his eyes.

"I wonder where our siblings ran off too, I thought they would've made it by now?" questioned Lucky.

"Huh, you're right, Marco usually shows up around this time," said Ace

"Well, lucky for us, they're keeping each other busy," added Sabo.

Lucky ran ahead to a stall selling meat sandwiches. The others caught up to Lu and ordered as well. While they ate, Lucky decided to get the other kids some food too, they were making a poor attempt at ignoring the food stall and he could hear their stomachs grumbling. Ace and Sabo just shrugged as they watched Lucky order.

As they ate their food, Lu asked, "What are your plans after leaving this town? My dad says we're gonna roam around the Grand Line for a while…"

Sabo drank water from his jug and responded, "Hmm, not sure but I think Oyaji has the same plan because he said the New World was too dangerous.."

"Oh yeah, my friend Pudding lives there, I only visit occasionally and only because there is an easy way to travel for us. Pudding rarely leaves her island, preferring to stay at home," munched Lucky.

"Haaah? You have a friend living in the New World? You gotta get us there! Pops and Marco always go on about the dangers of the New World and even want us hanging around Paradise and the Blues, but we want to have fun," shouted Ace at the end.

"Well, while I can definitely get you on a New World island, it will be one of Big Mom's.. Pudding is her daughter, hehe," Lu chuckled weakly.

"So, the chances of that happening are zero, nice, " said Sabo

"Hey now, when has danger ever stopped us? I say we go,"Ace told Sabo.

"Hmm, well we have some time to think about it, how do you contact her Lu?" Sabo questioned, pursing his lips.

"Well, I usually send her a letter via our Hawk, Sasha, but if we can find a den den mushi, I can call her so she can ask her sister to get us there." answered Lucky.

"Why would you write when you can call her?" asked Sabo, perplexed.

"Ugh I knew someone would ask, Pudding is a romantic- not that I'm interested in her or vice versa but she loves to receive written correspondence and finds it 'quaint'." answered Lucky.

"Huh. Okay then." Sabo said.

"Yes, that's Perona," Lucky responded.

" Well I say as soon as we get done with these bozos," said Ace pointing his thumb behind him, "we go find ourselves a den den mushi, maybe this gang can even help us out, as an apology along with our money of course," Ace responded.

30 minutes later

"So, here we are, waiting for your so-called friends, they better have our money," Ace said with his arms crossed to the 4 boys that attacked them.

"Hmph, whatever man, " sneered Natto

"Oh, look who got confident all the sudden," laughed Sabo

"I wonder how many people I'll get to fight, I hope they prove to be better fighters than your group," said Lucky.

All three boys practiced haki to some extent so they could feel the influx of energies, they weren't skilled yet to know exactly how many but knew a decent amount of people were converging on them.

Soon enough, a blonde teen walked forward along with 5 others to the group. However, the three boys shared a look and knew that there were others hiding in the background.

"So, what's going on here, why have you been seen throughout town dragging along these 4 boys, they're with me, and when I first heard about it, I thought- No, it couldn't be. Because everyone knows I protect my family. So when I heard 3 foreigners were dragging along my friends, I had to find out the truth, " asked the blonde.

"Well let me tell you that your friends stole our money and we want it back. There were at least two other girls I remember around the time we were attacked by these 4. And while you're at it, get us a transponder snail too blondie," said Ace sneering at the end.

"Koza, before this goes any further, I'll add that they did buy us lunch," interjected Natto, shrugging his shoulders.

Lucky smiled and said, "It's only fair that everyone gets to eat."

"And if we don't have your money, what then," Koza said, also shrugging his shoulders.

"Well, then that's gonna be a problem," Sabo said darkly.

"Ha, and what are three little boys gonna do against my friends," Koza said nodding behind him, as more people stepped out and surrounded them

"So what's it gonna be kids," Koza said, smirking.

"Awesome! I do need to brush up on my melee attacks, this should work out great, thanks Koza. But you should really learn to never underestimate your enemy, it might come back to haunt you" Lucky said smiling.

Koza scoffed, "Heh. Have it your way kid, you'll have to learn eventually how dangerous the world is at some point. "

All three boys burst out laughing at the assumption the older boy was making, so much so that they had to wipe away tears.

"Alright then, -Koza, was it?" asked Ace

"Yeah, that's right," Koza said

"My name's Ace, it's only fair you get to know the name of the person who is gonna beat you," he said smirking.

"My name is Sabo," he said bowing.

"Well, my name is Lucky, and it's just your luck you get me as an opponent," Lu said laughing

Sabo and Ace both groaned at the bad pun and rolled their eyes at Lucky.

"Well you don't need our names because you won't remember them after the beating you boys are gonna get," Koza said menacingly.

"Hahaha, good one Blondie, love the jokes but enough chit chat and back those words up you bastard," growled Ace.

Koza raised his right arm into the air and disappeared into the crowd as the other three boys were swarmed by kids of varying ages from all sides.

It was a frenzy of arms and legs. Ace yelled over the noise, "So seems like they want to beat us with numbers," Sabo yelled back, "Hah. Let them try, though this is tedious."

Lucky answered back, "Well, who'd like to see a tornado? It's a new move I've been working on," as he enacted said move and blew a bunch of children away.

"Huh, not quite the rotation I wanted, I'll have to work on that some more," Lucky pondered out loud.

Ace and Sabo both dropped their jaws at the spectacle while their opponents whimpered in fear and shock at the display.

"Damn, Lucky, you did that just with wooden swords! What could you do with real ones!?" Sabo yelled.

Ace took the chance to knock out some more opponents and chimed in, "Hey Sabo while you're busy gawking, I already beat up 4 more people than you," he finished laughing.

"Whatever, I'll catch up soon enough," Sabo said, finally using his metal pipe after someone pulled out a knife. The weapon became an extension of Sabo who was very used to using it in a fight and for hunting. He knocked one guy on the shoulders with the pipe and pushed him into two more people and quickly hit the other two guys to create a domino effect that ended up knocking 5 guys to the ground.

Sabo had honed his strength hunting in the forest of and spent hours hiking, exploring every inch of the forest and island with Ace. While they never quite got enough to eat, especially the healthy stuff, they nevertheless toned their muscles through the harsh daily life on Goa Island. Sabo was strong enough to take down several grown men, these teens were not that difficult to overcome.

"Oi, don't go throwing sand in my eye, you scum. But if you want to fight like that, I'll hold nothing back," yelled Lucky.

Lucky lowered his knees, focusing his breath, he coated his swords in haki and sent several powerful slashes that blew all the teens and younger kids to the ground leaving them with shallow cuts all around their body.

Ace witnessing the damage bellowed, "Alright, enough play time!" He created a line of fire between the two groups.

"Now, I've been going extremely easy on you, as you can see my friends are annoyed and we've wasted too much time on such a simple matter. I want our money back and a long distance den den mushi. If you can't bring it, then show us where we can use it. I'll let you talk it over, but in about 5 minutes I'm gonna start throwing some fireballs," Ace said calmly while creating some fire balls in his hand.

"You'd be so heartless as to turn us into a crisp? Hah, I don't believe it , kid," said Koza confidently.

"Oh. So, you're the type of leader that gambles with the lives of your followers so easily, huh? Well, if you want to test me then by all means," replied Ace, smirking as he surrounded Koza's followers in a ring of fire, big enough that they wouldn't be touched by the flames but close enough to feel the heat. "Oiii, let us out of here, oi Koza, c'mon man, this ain't fun anymore, what's a little kid doing with a devil fruit, and those two other boys are monsters, get us outta here Koza," yelled various teens.

"So Koza, what's it gonna be?" Ace concluded. A minute passed as the ring crept closer to the group.

"Tch. you're a nutcase, all this over money? Fez, give'em their money, hmpf, as for your den den, you gotta go to the royal offices. There was some disturbance earlier that wreaked havoc on the district with the phone booths, they're talking about ghosts and a phoenix of all things, haha, anyways- so the only option are the royal offices and those are closed to the public," Koza said, smirking. Lucky, Ace and Sabo all turned to look at each other when he mentioned ghosts and a phoenix, and all thought the same thing, 'No they didn't. Did they?' and had to contain their laughter.

"Well. See, that was easy, Blondie. And I bet you know exactly how to get into those offices Blondie, you don't get to be the Boss without knowing things, so you are gonna help us make our call and we will be outta here. You will help us not get caught. I'm glad we could work this out, uh- what's the word Sabo, hm, that's right, 'amicably.' "

"Not sure this was quite 'amicably'" Sabo muttered. Ace glared at him from the side and tried to smile at Koza, it came out as a grimace instead because he was so unused to smiling. So all Koza really saw was a trio of demon kids.

"Ugh. Dear Enel, never again. Fine, whatever. Natto, since you like them so much, your group will escort them to make their phone call. I never want to see you three again, get outta my sight you beastly kids!" yelled Koza.

"Shishishi, this is perfect, with Perona and Marco distracted, this would be the most opportune time to 'jump ship' so to speak," exclaimed Lucky.

"Hahaha, I know, I can't believe Marco, I'll never let him live this down," Ace added.

"Yeah, they're supposed to be the 'adults' and we hear about them getting into trouble, unbelievable!" Sabo exclaimed, throwing his arms into the air.

"Excuse me! I'm still here," shouted Koza

"Do you want your phone call or not?" he continued.

"Yeah, man give us a second, you sure this is all of it, my pouch feels a little light?" questioned Ace.

"Hmpf, yeah that's all of it, you little shit, Natto, hurry up and lead them away and report back when you're done." Koza said sourly.

"Hmpf, whatever man, pleasure doing business Blondie," Ace saluted him, smirking as he did so.

Lucky and Sabo just smiled and waved. Koza just angrily shouted at them to hurry up and leave.

"Shishishi, wow, maybe I will come here again, just to see that expression on Koza's face, shishishi," Lucky said in between laughter.

"Hahaha, yeah, too funny," Sabo said wiping a tear from his eye, his amusement at the situation causing him to cry tears from laughing so hard.
