Vuki's POV

We sat in the council room. My sister sat next to a blonde elf, I was on the opposite side of her. We wore black cloaks with the hoods down, so no one would see our eyes or faces. Strangers from distant lands ... friends of old. You have been summoned here to answer the threat of Mordor. Middle-earth stands upon the brink of destruction. None can escape it. You will unite...or you will fall. Each race is bound to this fate...this one doom..." lord Elrond declared as we sat in council.

"Bring forth the ring, Frodo." He ordered. "Frodo stepped forward and moved towards a stone in the center of the room.

"He placed the ring on the rock and returned to his seat.

"So it is true!" Declared a young man in shock. My sister's breathing grew heavy as she saw it. I placed my hand on her shoulder to calm her.

"Sauron's Ring! The ring of power!" The elf next to me said. "The doom of man!" Said a red haired dwarf. "It is a gift...a gift to the foes of Mordor! Why not use this

Ring? Long has my father, the Steward of Gondor, held the forces of Mordor at bay...by the blood of our people are your lands kept safe. Give Gondor the weapon of the enemy...let us use it against him!"

The young man said, my sister stood and in her elven voice said.

"You cannot wield this thing, none here can! Not from me down to the halflings!" The young man snorted and responded. "What would a woman know of this?" With the speed of her father she was in front of him, he caught sight of her eyes and gasped. "Y-you have his…" he tailed off as he unwillingly sat back down.

"Liviya, return to me!" I told her mentally, she walked calmly back to her seat. "Liviya is right...we cannot use it." Gandalf told everyone. "You have only one choice..the ring must be destroyed." Lord Elrond declared. The dwarf stood up suddenly and said.

"Then...what are we waiting for?"He suddenly rushed forward and swung

his axe down on the ring. The axe shattered with a deafening crack! The dwarf fell backwards, staring in disbelief at the ring...unharmed!

Liviya and the halfling slouched in their chairs suddenly, as if pained. "The ring cannot be destroyed, Gimli, son of Gloin, by any craft that we here possess. The ring was made in the fires of Mount Doom...only there can it be unmade. It must be taken deep into Mordor, and cast back into the fiery chasm from whence it came. One of you must do this." Lord Elrond said.

I stood up to speak, I too used my elven voice. "Neither me or my sister can do this thing. For though we have much power, we may still fall victim to the ring. Therefore neither should a man be the bearer, it must be someone else." I sat again my sister seemed worse for wear be I hoped she would soon be all right again.

"One does not simply walk into Mordor. Its black gates are guarded by more than just Orcs. There is evil there that does not sleep and the Great Eye is ever watchful. It is a barren wasteland, riddled with fire and ash and dust...the very air you breathe is a poisonous fume. Not with ten thousand men could you do this. It is folly."

"Have you heard nothing Lord Elrond has said? The ring must be destroyed." The blond elf said. "And I suppose you think you're the one to do it?" Snarled the dwarf. "And if we fail, what then? What happens when Sauron takes back

what is his?" The young man demanded.

" I will be dead before I see the Ring in the hands of an Elf!" The dwarf yelled. At once a storm of argument erupted around the room. "You are all as foolish as ducks!" I cried out in my Vala voice. It was terrible to hear and the elves stopped up their ears. The others looked at me in surprise.

"I don't believe, Lord Elrond," said the ranger to Elrond. "That any of us have met these two, who sit in our council." "We are the Heirs of Mordor," my sister declared as she stood behind me. "And we are here to protect you from Sauron. For though the journey is dangerous, with us you have the greater chance of getting through."

The elves looked uneasy, the blond stepped forward. "What token do we have your lineage?" He asked as the others seemed to cower. We threw back the hoods and revealed our faces, a gasp ran through the crowd.

"I will take it...I will take it...I will take the Ring to Mordor." Said the halfling. There was sudden silence, then I spoke. "The bearer is well chosen, Sauron knows nothing of halflings, and he will not be so easily corrupted."

"Though...I do not know the way." Frodo said in a small voice. "I will help you bear this burden, Frodo Baggins, as long as it is yours to bear." Gandalf said gently.

"If, by my life or death, I can protect you, I will." Aragorn told him gravely. "...you have my sword." "And You have my bow." The elf said as he stepped forward. "And my axe." Said the dwarf loudly. "Our skill is yours to command, and hopefully our friendship also." My sister said as we stepped forward.

Boromir stepped forward with a scowl on his face. "I protest these beings of evil accompanying the ring bearer!" He said loudly. "Come now," said Gandalf. "I myself raised Liviya, she holds no love for Sauron. As for her brother, Vuki has no connection to Sauron. His father is another."

Boromir looked at them all then walked towards Frodo. "You carry the fate of us all, little one." Boromir said. "If this is indeed the will of the Council, then Gondor will see it done." Frodo stared in wonder as the Greatest Fighters in all Middle earth stood at his side.

Suddenly another halfling popped out of the bushes. "Mr.Frodo's not gong anywhere without me." He declared as he stepped next to Frodo. "No Indeed...it is hardly possible to separate you...even when he is summoned to a secret council and you are not." Two more halflings popped out from another bush.

"Oi, We're coming too! You'll have to send us home tied up in a sack to stop us." Said the taller one. "Anyway...you need people of intelligence on this sort of mission...quest...thing..." said the other. "Well, that rules you out, Pip." Said the taller one.

Eleven companions," lord Elrond said thoughtfully. "... so be it. You shall be the "Fellowship of the ring"" "Great. Where are we going?" Asked Pip. My sister looked completely bewildered at that and I smiled.
