Liviya's POV

We were in small elven boats. We rowed away from the Lothlorien Shore

into the Silverlode river. Elves quietly watched us depart. Galadriel gave Frodo a small Crystal Phial. "Farewell, Frodo Baggins. I give you the light of Earendil, our most beloved star." Galadriel told him as we left.

As the Fellowship's boats drifted past, Galadriel stood alone, watching from the banks of the river.

Later our boats passed into the great river Anduin. The Three Elven boats carried us steadily southward. Green trees slowly gave way to a brown and withered land.

A flock of birds circled high above, Black against the pale sky. Aragorn watched them with concern.

Later The Three Elven boats drifted slowly through the steep rocky gorge in the Pre-dawn light. Two enormous rock statues were towering like 300 foot pinnacles on either side of the river...carved images of Gondorian kings of old. They loomed over the boats with power and majesty.

"The Argonath..." Aragorn said, moved by the beauty of the place. "Long have I desired to look upon the kings of old...my kin." We stared in stunned silence as the current took us through the narrow gap between the Statues' feet. After we passed those statues we stopped. We jumped out of the boats and clambered onto the wooded shore. "We cross the lake at nightfall, hide the boats and continue on foot..we approach Mordor from the North." Aragorn said as we rested.

"Oh, yes, just a simple matter of finding our way through Emyn Muil, an impassable labyrinth of razor sharp rocks. And after that gets even better...a festering, stinking marshland, far as the eye can see." Gimli said grimly.

"That is our Road...I suggest you take some rest and recover your strength, Master Dwarf." Aragorn told Gimli. "Recover my..." Gimli sputtered indignantly. Legolas turned to Aragorn with urgency. "We should leave now." He said urgently. "No. Orcs patrol the Eastern shore. We must wait for cover of

darkness." Aragorn told him firmly.

"It is not the Eastern shore that worries me." Legolas said as he cast a

glance a into the Parth Galen forest...

"A shadow and a threat has been growing in my mind. Something

draws near, I can feel it." He said in fear. Aragorn looked at Legolas, knowing full well what he meant. Sam was slumped asleep...Merry dumped a small pile of kindling at Gimli's feet... "Where's Frodo?" He asked, Sam sat up with a start...Aragorn's head snapped round..his

eyes flew to Boromir's shield which lay abandoned by his camp bed. I realized they were both gone!

Merry, Pippin, and I ran to go find him. "Frodo!" We called as loud as we dared. "Missing someone?" Sauron asked in my head. 'Stop!' I thought back angrily and continued calling. "I mean you no harm," he responded gently. "But I can sense your distress and know the cause. Don't worry, your escorts will be there shortly and help you find him." I heard Aragorn telling someone to run and the noise of battle. "Run! Hide!" I called to Merry and Pippin we hid in some shrubbery. "Oh, darling, they won't hurt you… if they know what's good for them." Sauron cooed in my mind.

Suddenly Frodo hid behind a tree near our shrubs. "Frodo!" Merry whisper-yelled. Frodo turned to see Us hidden in a hollow, a few feet away. "Hide here, quick!" "Come on..." Pippin whispered, gestured for him to come to us. Frodo looked at us... slowly shook his head, a great

sadness was in his eyes..."What's he doing?" Pippin asked us. Merry's eyes met Frodo's in understanding. "He's leaving." Merry told us. "No!" Said Pippin as he stood and made a move toward Frodo...Merry grabbed at his arm. "Pippin!" Merry said trying to stop him. Suddenly, we heard the call of Boromir's horn.

He suddenly jumped between us and the Uruk-Hai that came running down the hill. I unsheathed my sword and joined him. Many fell to our swords as we protected the Halflings. "You are wasting my servants, you know." Sauron said in an annoyed tone as I slashed at another orc. 'Good!' I thought back angrily. Suddenly an orc knocked the sword out of my hands and dragged me away. I witnessed the same thing happen to Boromir, Merry and Pippin. They tied our hands and feet, in the manner of hobbling a horse, then grabbed us and started running to Isengard. "Now be good," Sauron said as we were carried away. "I'll see you soon."

Vuki's POV

I rushed to the place I had heard Liviya last. All that was there now were dead, and one dying, orcs. I walked angrily to the dying orc and picked it up with the shadows. "Tell me where she is and I'll ease your pain." I snarled, letting my eyes really show, it trembled in fear. "They're taking them to Isengard… then to Mordor." I then crushed it with the shadows. Legolas came up behind me as I groaned in sorrow. "Mama, why didn't you drown me when I was born?!" I screamed to the sky. I had failed my little sister, after I said all would be well. Aragorn came and I told him what the orc had said, he walked me back to the others who were by the river.

"If we are quick, we will catch Frodo and

Sam before nightfall." Legolas said intently. Aragorn looked towards the far shore; Frodo and Sam's small Boat could be seen lying on the distant Riverbank as Frodo and Sam made off into the forest beyond. He didn't react. Legolas turned and looked at Aragorn. "You mean not to follow them..." Legolas stated rather than asked. "Frodo's fate is no longer in our hands." He responded carefully. "Then it has all been in vain...the fellowship has failed." Gimli mourned. "Not if we hold true to each other. We will not abandon Merry, Liviya, Boromir, and Pippin to torment and death, not while we have strength left." Aragorn pulled a knife out of his pack and straps it on.

"Leave all that can be spared behind..." Aragorn said as a steely glint entered his eyes. "We travel light. Let's hunt some Orc." He told us grimly. "Yes! Ha!" Aragorn, Legolas,Gimli, and I disappeared into the Woods, following the URUK-HAI trail. 'I'll find you Livi, I promise little sister.' I thought as I followed the others through the woods.
