Safari Zone (Day 1)
"Clefairy, finish up with Moonblast!" ordered Ash. The boy's Fairy Pokemon fired a pink ball of pure fairy energy at the heavy gray Pokemon, who had no time to dodge.
"Horn!" cried out the wild Pokemon in pain, before sinking to the ground, giving Ash the chance he was waiting for.
"Pokeball go!" yelled the boy, chunking the circular device, which struck and sucked in the Pokemon in an instant.
Everyone was silent, watching the device roll back and forth for a few tense moments. Fortune favored Ash though, and soon enough he heard the beautiful sound of a ding.
"YEAH!" cheered Ash in jubilation, jumping up in the air with a fist pump. "I caught a Ryhorn!" posed the boy with Pikachu, Clefairy, and Espeon.
"And to think he was acting so mature the other day at the Fuchsia City Gym," sighed Misty with a shake of her head
"I disagree Misty. It's nice to see Ash back to his cheerful self. He seemed a bit broody and out of it for a while after that encounter with Gary," countered Brock, looking at his friend with fondness.
Said friend has just finished walking up to the Pokeball that contained his newest friend. As soon as he bent down to pick it up and touch it, the ball was whisked away to Professor Oak's lab, though that hardly surprised Ash at this stage in his journey.
"Good work Clefairy," smiled Ash, turning to his Pokemon.
"Clefairy!" beamed back his space Pokemon, adding a wink in Pikachu's direction to the mouse's dismay.
"You know, I think you've learned just about everything I was hoping for as a Clefairy," mushed Ash. "What would you think about evolving soon?" questioned the boy.
"Fairy! Fairy!" the Pokemon shook her head, pointing at the sky.
"Oh I get it! You want to wait until the moon is out right? Ash asked excitedly
"Close, but she is actually hoping to evolve on the night of a full moon," explained Espeon.
"Fairy!" nodded Clefairy with a satisfied smile.
"That works for me," shrugged the boy, calling Clefairy back to her Pokeball.
After the events at the docks of Fuchsia City, Ash and the gang had decided to regroup at the Pokemon Center. Brock and Misty took this time to visit the Poke Mart and stock up on supplies. The latter made sure to pick up Calm Mind for her Psyduck. She hadn't had the chance to teach him the move yet, but she hoped it would finally set the duck Pokemon straight.
Ash on the other hand stayed back at the Pokemon Center, taking the time to swap out some Pokemon. He was pretty content with Haunter's training at this point, so he was swapped out for Clefairy. Butterfree had also done his part at the Fuchsia City Gym and even mastered Quiver Dance, leading Ash to switch him out for Ivysaur.
Their errands done, the group departed Fuchsia City to the north, heading straight into the Safari Zone. They had only traveled for a single day, before Ash encountered and caught Ryhorn in a rocky area of the Safari Zone.
Speaking of the new catch, "Nice job Ash!" Brock praised, patting the boy on the back.
"Thanks Brock!" smiled the boy in return.
"What do you guys think about camping out here for the rest of the day. It's getting late in the afternoon and will be dark soon," pointed out Misty.
Ash and Brock had no issue with it, and the group settled in to make camp. Brock went about prepping dinner as usual, while Misty and Ash moved to work with their Pokemon. Today the focus was on three Water Pokemon in particular, though the others still managed some practice.
Ash gave all of his attention to Shellder and Krabby. The former was working on refining the attacks she had previously mastered, including Bubble Beam, Razor Shell, and Brine. Ash planned on moving his Shellder onto Aurora Beam and Ice Shard in the near future. Hopefully, Misty would allow Seel to help Shellder get the hang of ice type moves. As for Krabby, Ash was content with his offensive move-set for the time being. Therefore, Krabby was currently working on Iron Defense and Protect. Brock's Graveler was a big help for the latter move, while Krabby experimented with the properties of his Metal Claw attack to master the first move.
Misty focused her efforts entirely on Psyduck.
"Ok Psyduck, let's do this," muttered the girl under her breath, releasing the headache that was her Psyduck.
Out came Psyduck, clueless as ever and staring off into the distance. "Psy?"
"Try and pay attention Psyduck. I've got a little something to help those headaches out," patiently said Misty, grabbing a disk out of her pocket.
"Duck?" replied the Pokemon with a blank expression.
Misty rolled her eyes, but quickly regained focus and went for it. "Here goes nothing..."
One Hour Later
"Hey Ash, how about a battle?" Misty innocently suggested, walking up to the boy and his own Water Pokemon.
Ash turned, looking intrigued at the offer. Honestly, he didn't think Misty would ever agree to battle with him again after what happened last time. He still shuddered at the memories of what followed. "Are you sure Misty?" he asked hesitantly.
"I'm positive," beamed the girl.
"Well, ok then," accepted Ash.
"Great! Let's make this one on one," said Misty, walking away to create some distance for a makeshift battlefield.
"That works for me," Ash answered, before turning to his two Pokemon. "Krabby, you already have some experience with battling, so i'm going to ask you to take a knee here. Shellder, how would you like to participate in your first battle?"
"Shellder!" cried the Pokemon, jumping up and down with excitement.
"Awesome! Let's show Misty what we got. I choose you Shellder," called out Ash, turning to face Misty. The Water Pokemon hopped forward in front of her trainer, seemingly ready to face what Misty had in store for them.
"Shellder huh? I'll use one of my newest Pokemon then too. Go Psyduck," called the girl, releasing the Pokemon onto the battlefield. Right away, Ash noticed something was very different with that Pokemon. Psyduck's eyes showed an intense level of focus.
"Be on your guard Shellder. I think this battle may be tougher than we expect," cautioned the boy.
Shellder voiced her acknowledgment and Ash made the first move. "Start with Bubble Beam!" Shellder's shell opened wide and a beam of bubbles flew out from her mouth and towards Psyduck.
Misty smirked. "Confusion!" Psyduck's eye glowed blue, and as with his battle with Sabrina, Ash's attack was taken over by his opponent. Bubbleb Beam made a fast 180 degree turn, on course to strike Shellder with twice the original attack's speed.
"Use Bubble Beam again!" Ash swiftly ordered. The attack left Shellder, meeting the redirected attack head on. Psyduck's Psychic power easily overpowered Shellder's second attack, going through it and sending the poor little Pokemon sliding back. Thankfully, the damage was lessoned due to the second Bubble Beam.
"So, I take it Professor Oak was able to help you and Psyduck out after all," observed Ash.
"That's right, and we're just getting warmed up," Misty fired back. "Water Pulse Psyduck!" suddenly called the girl. Psyduck's hands came together and rings of water formed, rapidly floating towards Shellder.
That attack looks way too powerful to stop, but Shellder is nowhere near fast enough to dodge either. Guess i'll have to settle for reducing the damage again, thought Ash with resignation and frustration. "Bubble Beam one more time!"
The beam of bubbles met Water Pulse, and was battered back just like last time, with Water Pulse continuing forward and dealing even more damage to Shellder. Unfortunately, things would only get worse. Shellder began to panic, looking back and forth and moving erratically.
She's confused, Ash realized with worry. "Snap out of it Shellder," encouraged the boy. Ash's Pokemon ignored him though, oblivious to his command. Meanwhile, Misty and Psyduck had not been idle. Psyduck had slowly crept closer after launching Water Pulse and was in position for his next attack.
"Follow up with Fury Swipes!" Misty said with confidence. The Pokemon's claws struck the confused Shellder over and over. Despite the damage, Ash and Shellder finally seemed to catch a break when one swipe snapped her out of confusion. Ash noticed and took advantage immediately.
"CLAMP THOSE ARMS!" yelled the boy. Shellder buckled up and slammed her shell shut, painfully squeezing Psyduck's arms and claws.
"PSY!" screamed the duck in pain,
"Psyduck!" called out Misty in concern.
Ash and Shellder pressed the attack. "Use Bubble Beam while holding on Shellder," commanded the boy with authority.
Another beam of bubbles flew from Shelder's mouth, but the shell remained clamped shut, preventing Psyduck from escaping the point blank attack, leading to accumulating damge.
"Stop that Bubble Beam with Disable!" Misty countered, getting back into the battle. Psyduck's eyes glowed blue once again, and the attack ceased. Ash didn't mind though. He figured they had done enough damage for his next move to be effective.
"FINISH WITH BRINE!" yelled Ash with a gleam in his eyes. Shellder unleashed a blast of salt water straight into Psyduck, who Shellder finally released with this attack. Psyduck went flying and double the amount of damage was dealt due to his already low healthy. The duck Pokemon landed in a heap in front of his trainer, while Shellder panted hard from her earlier damage and exertion.
"Psyduck?" Misty said tentatively, hoping her Pokemon had fight in him. Sadly for Misty, today was not the day she would be beating Ash and Psyduck did not get up. "Guess we lost," sighed the girl in disappointment, calling back her injured Pokemon.
On the other end of the battlefield, Ash was kneeling down next to his Shellder. "That was an amazing first battle Shellder! I'm proud of you," smiled the boy, as he pet his exhausted Pokemon.
Shellder gave a weak cry of satisfaction, before allowing herself to fall into a restful sleep. Ash called Shellder back contently, and then directed his attention to Misty who was looking down.
"You know Misty," started the boy as he walked over. "You very nearly had me there," admitted Ash.
"Really?" Misty asked looking up with hope.
"Yes really. If you kept your distance and focused on range attacks, you likely would have won the battle. In any case, that was a great fight," smiled Ash, offering the girl a hand.
Misty took it instantly, returning Ash's smile with one of her own as the two shook hands.
All the while Brock watched on. And to think you were saying that Ash was acting immature, Brock chuckled internally.
Safari Zone (Day 3)
Ash, Brock, and Misty managed to spot a few Pokemon on their second day in the Safari Zone, but nothing that caught their particular interest. Thus, the group traveled deeper into the Safari Zone, spending part of the day training as well. Today, the gang found themselves wading through some very high grass in a seemingly endless field.
"Ugh, this grass is so itchy on my skin, and what if we get bit by a snake?" complained Misty.
"Where's your sense of adventure Misty? There have to be loads of cool Pokemon hidden in the grass,"Ash positively responded.
"None of them will be Water Pokemon," the girl jibed back in annoyance.
"Yeah but—"
"QUIET!" Brock interjected harshly with a loud whisper.
"What's up Brock?" Ash whispered back, looking at the teen with curiosity.
"Listen carefully. I think I can hear some wild Pokemon fighting," continued Brock, straining his ears. Ash and Misty copied the boy with nobody making a sound for a moment. Then, a faint shrill cry echoed in the distance.
"I heard something, but where is it coming from?" Misty asked.
"I think I can sense them. Follow me!" Espeon ordered, taking off in a westward direction, with the humans and Pikachu pursuing. As they got closer, the sounds drew a clearer picture.
"CHANSEY!" the shrill voice from earlier screamed in apparent terror.
"Scyther!" another voice aggressively called out.
Everybody increased their pace at these noises and came upon the two Pokemon a few moments later. Chansey was severely injured and on her back, clutching the egg in its pouch with all of her strength. Meanwhile, Scyther had a bladed arm trying to pry Chansey's hand apart. Another arm was raised and ready to strike.
Ash acted on instinct, using a Pokemon that was already outside of its Pokeball. "Quick Attack Pikachu!" The yellow mouse leaped off of Ash's shoulder and sped off in a blur, slamming into Scyther and sending the green Pokemon back.
"Vulpix, guard Chansey!" Brock added, throwing out his Pokeball to release the fire fox. Vulpix materialized and got into position, while her trainer began to tend to Chansey's wounds.
Back to the battle, Scyther recovered and glared at Ash and Pikachu for daring to interrupt his meal.
"Agility into Iron Tail Pikachu!" ordered Ash, not wanting to give Scyther an opportunity to attack. Pikachu took off once more, this time increasing his speed, while his tail began to glow. He jumped and spun towards Scyther with his tail aimed, but the Bug-Flying Pokemon vanished and was replaced by 9 copies surrounding Pikachu.
"Double Team," grunted Ash in irritation, recognizing the move. The copies immediately launched an attack of their own, speeding towards Pikachu with what looked to be a vicious Slash.
I need to get Pikachu to learn Discharge for situations like this in the future, Ash thought with a frown. For now, he decided to give Scyther a taste of his own medicine.
"Use a Double Team of your own Pikachu!" Pikachu's enhanced speed allowed him to duplicate and dodge into 14 copies just before the 9 Scyther images slashed their claws at where he was.
"FOLLOW UP QUICK WITH THUNDERBOLT WHILE THEY ARE TOGETHER!" Ash yelled.
"PIKACHUUUUUUU!" cried out Ash's Electric Pokemon, releasing a strong electric blast into the group of Scyther, decimating the copies and providing a shocking experience to the original. Scyther feel to a knee, but he refused to let this be the end. Digging his blades into the ground, he used it to push himself up, staring down Ash and Pikachu in defiance.
Ash returned the glare with a cold expression, though internally he was impressed by Scyther's resilience. Predator or not, Ash knew he wanted that strength on his team.
To that end... "Again Pikachu," Ash evenly ordered.
"PIKACHUUUUUUU!" yelled out the mouse, sending even more volts at the defenseless Scyther. The Pokemon tried to move, but he was far too weak from the previous blast, resulting in another direct hit. When the electricity dissipated, Scyther fell forward head first. The last thing the Pokemon saw, as he weakly lifted his head, was a spherical ball rapidly approaching. Ash's Pokeball connected, changing Scyther into red energy and drawing him inside. The ball hit the ground soon after and began to roll back and forth. Ash and Pikachu watched on, electricity sparkling from Pikachu's cheeks, ready to battle again just in case. There would be no need though, as after around a minute, the ball dinged.
Ash wasted no time and ran up to grab the Pokeball, prompting it to vanish in a white flash, which finally allowed the boy to relax.
"Good work out there Pikachu. Espeon, if you hadn't warned us about the direction, we may not have made it in time. Thanks for the heads up as well," smiled the boy at his two Pokemon.
"Pika!" responded his yellow mouse, shaking it off like it was nothing.
"I'm always happy to help Daddy," Espeon answered, nuzzling her trainer's leg. Ash scratched the back of her ear, before looking to his friends. Misty was hovering over Brock, who was intensely focused on treating Chansey's injuries. Walking up, Ash saw a few empty Potion canisters, and Brock putting the finishing touches on some gauze that he was wrapping around Chansey's midsection.
"Everything ok over here?" Ash asked Misty, as he saw that Brock was too focused to be disturbed.
"I think so. Brock is a natural when it comes to this kind of thing. Where is Scyther?" Misty frowned, not seeing the Pokemon anywhere in the vicinity.
"At Professor Oak's lab. He wouldn't go down or run away, so I caught him. Hopefully, with some training, he can make a nice teammate," answered Ash with a sigh.
Misty was a bit taken aback at the news of Scyther's capture, but she didn't comment on it other than a raised eyebrow.
"That should just about do it," said Brock, putting away his medical equipment and calling back Vulpix. "How are you feeling Chansey?" the teen asked in concern.
"Chansey!" chirped out the happy Pokemon, bouncing up to stand.
"That's wonderful. Now, I need you to remember to take it easy for the next few days. Don't exert yourself and be sure to eat plenty of nutritious foods, such as these berries," Brock lectured, offering the Pokemon some delicious Oran berries, which she happily accepted and gobbeled down. Brock smiled happily at the sight and gestured for his friends to follow him, as they began to walk away, allowing Chansey to enjoy her meal in private.
"That was pretty cool of you Brock. Are you sure you don't want to be a Pokemon doctor instead?" joked Ash.
"A Pokemon doctor?" Brock replied taken aback. To be honest, he had never really considered it. Helping Chansey feel better made Brock feel warm inside though, so maybe he should give it some thought after all. That would have to wait though, because the teen was immediately tackled from behind.
"CHANSEY!" wailed the big pink Pokemon on top of Brock, with tears in her eyes.
Brock moaned a little at the impact, but looked back to see his earlier patient. "Chansey?"
"Chansey! Chansey! Chansey!" the Pokemon repeated, picking Brock up and looking him square in the eyes.
"Do you want to come along with me?" A bewildered Brock asked.
"Chansey!" jubilantly responded the big pink Pokemon, jumping up and down in joy.
Brock scrutinized the Pokemon briefly. He had to accept the facts. Chansey wanted to come along, and he was looking forward to it. Reaching towards his belt, he pulled out a Pokeball and held it out.
"If you want to come along, just press your hand against this," Brock neutrally said.
"Chansey!" exclaimed the happy Pokemon, quickly tapping it with her hand and disappearing from sight. The ball dinged right away, brightening Brock's emotionless face.
"All right! Looks like I caught a Chansey!" said Brock with happiness.
"Nice catch Brock!" praised Ash.
"Yeah, nice catch Brock," Misty added with forced enthusiasm. The girl was anxious to make her own Safari Zone catch. Time would tell if that desire would transpire into something real.
Safari Zone (Day 6)
The next few days were largely uneventful, aside from a large herd of Tauros that the group ran into on the 4th day. Ash jokingly tossed a Pokeball into the stampeding Pokemon that were running past them. When the herd finished running past and the dust settled, his Pokeball was on the ground, unbroken, stunning the group. Ash approached with caution, and sure enough, as soon as he touched the Pokeball it disappeared.
This really aggravated Misty, who vowed that they would not leave the Safari Zone until she found a Water Pokemon for herself.
Today, the prospects of that vow were actually looking good. The ground the gang traveled on was muddy, and Misty could swear she sensed a body of water nearby. As it turns out, she was correct. A few hours of traveling through the muddy ground led the group to a large lake.
"YES!" cheered Misty at the sight, grabbing a pole from her pack and speeding towards the body of water. Ash and Brock shared a look of amusement, before setting up camp on the least damp piece of land they could find. They didn't mind doing the work themselves. After all, each had already caught Pokemon in the Safari Zone.
"Come on out Starmie," said Misty, tossing her Pokeball into the air and releasing her ace.
"I'm going to try and get a bite here and yank a Pokemon out of the water. As soon as that happens, give me your best Thunderbolt," instructed the girl.
Starmie gave a nod and settled into waiting, while Misty cast her line, with special Misty lure attached, into the lake. The two relaxed and bided their time. That wouldn't wait too long though, because before an hour was up, Misty felt a great tug on her line.
"Heads up Starmie! I got a big one on the line," Misty called out, fighting to not let her catch get away. Electricity crackled out of Starmie's gem, while Ash and Brock looked up from what they were doing to see the apparent Pokemon.
"Here it comes!" yelled the girl with a might heave. Out of the water emerged a magnificent... boot.
Ash and Brock immediately face-faulted at this, and they had to restrain themselves from laughing. Concurrently, Misty's face turned a familiar shade of red as she yanked the boot off her line and chunked it a surprising distance away from the lake.
"Not a word," warned the girl, chunking her line back into the water. Not five seconds after it landed, Misty felt yet another pull, and this time she yanked right away. A large jellyfish Pokemon with a clear blue body, two tentacles, and three red crystals popped out.
"Tentacool!" Misty shouted in triumph, getting her game face on right away. "Use Thunderbolt Starmie!" Misty's ace responded with speed, sending out a Thunderbolt that connected with the air-born Tentacool. The poor jellyfish Pokemon was absolutely electrified. When the attack ceased, it fell onto land and began twitching, but was otherwise unable to move.
"Pokeball go!" called the girl, tossing the device at the helpless Tentacool and drawing it inside. A few small shakes later and Misty had finally caught her own Safari Zone Pokemon!
"YES!" roared Misty at her achievement, hoisting her new Pokemon in the Pokeball over her head in a pose. As an aside, Misty had sent Seel back to the Cerulean City Gym in Fuchsia City, opening up a slot on her team.
"Brock... Is it just Misty or are all girls so scary?" Ash whispered to his companion.
"A good question my young friend. Girls are as complex as the toughest of Pokemon battles. Their emotions can shift drastically without warning, though Misty herself likely takes that to an extreme," Brock lectured in his best sage impression.
Ash nodded along, taking the advice with a grain of salt, because it was Brock after all. The two were certainly lucky that Misty was too distracted with her catch to properly overhear them.
A Few Hours Later
Later that night, the group sat around a campfire, when Brock brought up an issue.
"Guys, it looks like we are running pretty low on supplies, so we're going to have to restock soon," started the teen.
"Why didn't you buy more stuff in Fuchsia City?" Misty asked with an accusatory look.
Scratching the back of his head, Brock looked at his two friends awkwardly before bringing up a harsh truth. "I'll be blunt. We are getting low on cash and i've been having to spend sparingly."
Ash and Misty's eyes widened at the new revelation. The thing is, neither of them dealt with the finances much, other than occasional purchases like the TM Misty bought. Brock had largely taken care of that aspect of the trio's journey.
"But what about all that prize money Misty and I have won, and then there was the jackpot from AJ's tournament," Ash desperately pointed out.
"The tournament winnings did sustain us for quite a while," admitted Brock. "However, we have wracked up quite the amount of expenses, eating through those winnings and any other money you and Misty have won from random trainers. The sheer amount of Pokemon food we buy costs over 15,000 Poke for a single month's supply. Then you have to consider the cost of medical supplies, Pokeballs, our own food, and other items. That is not even mentioning the crazy cost of the two TM's you two have bought," Brock finished, shooting the two a look.
Ash and Misty where speechless for a while upon hearing the realities of the real world, but eventually Ash found words."So, what's the plan Brock? I assume you do have a plan right?" hoped Ash.
Brock gave the two a reassuring smile. "In fact I do. We currently have about 20,000 Poke left and enough food to last us a few more days. Luckily, we are pretty close to a Pokemon preserve called Laramie Ranch. Not only can we restock there, but according to the guidebook, they are holding some annual festivities in a few days, including a Pokemon Tournament. There is a 10,000 Poke entry fee, sixty four participants will enter, and first prize is around 500,000 Poke, along with some other hidden prizes," finished Brock.
"Ash should be the one to enter," Misty said right away.
"Really? But I thought you might want to Misty?" Ash asked with a little bit of confusion.
"I do. "To be honest though, you are our best shot. You're simply better than I am," Misty sighed in admission.
"It takes a big person to admit that Misty," Brock said, patting the girl on the back, before turning to Ash. "What do you say Ash? If you win this thing, we should be fine for the rest of our journey. If not, well then we're going to be in trouble.
"You don't have to ask Brock. My Pokemon and I are going to win!" Ash answered with determination.
Laramie Ranch (Day 8)
It took a day and a half of traveling, but Ash and the gang made it to Laramie ranch in the early evening on their eighth day outside of Fuchsia City. The first part featured several fenced in grassy areas with herds of Pokemon, including Tauros, Nidorino, Nidorina, Rhyhorn, Raticate, and more. Walking further into the preserve, the gang came upon what looked like a market place of sorts with loads of activity. Vendors had their wares on full display, but Brock's prior warning about the gang's finances prevented any wayward spending.
Asking around, the trio were directed to two stalls near the back of the marketplace. Both featured short lines as it was pretty late, but a sign distinguished their purpose.
"Let's see here. The sign says the left is for The Pokemon Tournament, while the right is for something called a Pokeathlon," muttered Misty. With that said, the gang slotted into the left side. After a few minutes, they made it up to the front.
"May I help you?" asked a kind older woman.
"Yes. I was hoping to enter the Pokemon Tournament taking place tomorrow," responded Ash.
"Then you are very lucky. You represent the last available slot. Do you have the 10,000 Poke entry fee?" questioned the lady. Ash nodded, handing over the money and then signing some papers.
"Everything seems to be in order here Ash Red Ketchum," started the lady, filing away the papers. "There is a make shift stadium that we have built at the center of the preserve. Be there around 9:00 AM sharp and be sure to bring this ticket. Best of luck!" smiled the kind lady, handing over a ticket.
Ash and the group offered their thanks, turning around to look for somewhere to crash for the evening.
"Excuse me, but did that lady say your name is Ash Red Ketchum?" asked another older feminine voice. The voice came from a woman around Ash's own mom's age. She had short purple hair, a blue shirt, and green cargo shorts. Next to her stood a girl around Ash's age, who had long honey blonde hair,. She wore a tight black shirt, a red skirt, black leggings, boots, and a red straw hat. There was something very familiar about the the younger girl
"Um yes ma'am. Why do you ask?" replied Ash.
The older lady smiled and pulled the other blushing girl forward. "You may not remember, but a few years ago you went to the same summer camp as my daughter. My name is Grace and this is my daughter Serena.
END CHAPTER
Another chapter comes to a close. I want to thank everyone for their Safari Zone recommendations, but we will get to specific shoutouts in a sec. For now, shout out to the reviewer Reader, who inspired the introduction of Serena and her mother here. I also wanted to bring back the concept of money, which was commented on very early in the story by Professor Oak. It also gave us a nice excuse for another tournament.
Next Time - We expand on Serena and Grace, introduce some characters early in the tournament, and who knows what else.
Instead of responding to reviewers this chapter, I will be shouting out the people who recommended specific Safari Zone Pokemon.
Ryhorn - This is one I had not considered at first. Shout out to Neotac for the recommendation. Ultron0901 also brought the idea up.
Scyther - This was one of the Pokemon I had planned on. Neotac still brought it up though and I appreciate it. A guest reviewer also suggested the ability Technician.
Chansey - Ultron0901 gets all the credit for this one. It also inspired some talking about Brock and the Pokemon Doctor plotline. No worries, I will not get rid of him early though. Neotac suggested Happiny so shout out for that idea.
Tentacool - Neotac coming in the clutch again. I remembered the episode when you mentioned it and thought it was a brilliant idea! Thanks.
Tauros - Ok we all knew this was going to happen lol. Thanks guys for throwing it out there anyway. Hope you liked the troll way I included it in the chapter.
Remember to review with your thoughts/critique :)
Smell ya later!
