Chapter 9
Things were strained between James and Sandie for quite some time ever since she moved out of the apartment. She didn't talk to him much and he didn't know where she was staying, since every time he asked Greg, he would ignore him. James guessed that she might be staying with him but for all he knew, she could be living on the streets. He didn't see her at the hospital much and Greg didn't talk about her.
James was pretty miserable without her so he kept himself busy helping Lisa out with the baby. He didn't dare mention Sandie when he was with her since Lisa and Sandie hated each other. He wished that he could work something out so the two of them could get along. He really cared for them both. James tried to call Sandie several times but she had blocked his number. She had become like a ghose, just disappearing from his life. All he had now were his memories.
One day, James was shopping downtown with Lisa and the baby when he thought he saw Sandie. She was in a flower shop. James told Lisa to go ahead, that he would catch up to her. He made his way across the street to the shop. He took a closer look in the window and sure enough it was her! She had her hair pulled back into a ponytail and was wearing a cute, little sweater dress. He'd forgotten how sexy she was. She was talking to another woman, he couldn't make out who it was but he thought he knew her from somewhere. The two of them seemed to be getting along quite well as they looked at flowers. Suddenly the other woman turned and James recognized her, it was Dr. Remy "Thirteen" Hadley!
What were the two of them doing? He continued to watch them through the store window. They picked out a dozen roses and the clerk wrapped them up. Sandie handed the flowers to Thirteen. They said something to each other and James's mouth dropped when the two of them kissed! Not just a friendly kiss on the cheek either, full mouth on mouth contact! What was Sandie up to? Was she not with Greg anymore? Did he know about the two of them? James was confused, he wanted to talk to her but didn't know what to say. Instead he just turned and left.
James sat in his office the following day thinking about what he saw. It's only been a month since Sandie left but she still haunts him. The more he thought about her, the more he realized that he was madly in love with her. Why did he have to be such a jerk to her? It was his fault that she was driven away. He wanted desperately to have her back. Thoughts swirled in his head, Why was she with Thirteen? Was she still with Greg? Was Thirteen still with Foreman? Nothing made sense anymore. He just wished that he could talk to her again. Maybe he could straighten things out, ask for her forgiveness.
A knock on his door woke him from his thoughts. He stood up and opened it, Greg walked in.
"I need your help with a case," Greg said.
"I'll help you with your case if you help me with something," James replied back.
"If it's about Sandie, I don't know where she is and I haven't heard from her."
James knew he was lying, he had fresh marks on his wrists where Sandie would tie him to the bed. James knew the games Sandie played in the bedroom. She didn't use them much on him, they were more relaxed, with Greg, she was a beast.
"Fine, James sighed, "What's the case?"
James was over to Lisa's house later that night. The baby had colic so he thought he would help out, after a couple hours the baby finally fell asleep. James had made dinner and brought some movies. He and Lisa sat on the couch watching a movie when thoughts of Sandie flooded his memory. It was a long shot but he finally asked Lisa,
"Have you heard from Sandie lately?"
She didn't say anything at first. She preferred it quiet without Sandie around. Things were normal again and Greg was doing his job without being distracted. She sighed then said,
"She called my office two days ago asking to borrow some money. I met her in the lobby and loaned her a hundred dollars. She promised to pay me back."
"You actually loaned her money without kicking her out?"
"She seemed kind of desperate. Plus she seemed different somehow."
"Different? How?" James asked.
"I'm not sure, she seemed calm. It was eerie, not like her at all."
"Do you think she needed the money for drugs?"
"No, I don't think she did."
"Do you have a way of contacting her?"
"Why? Things have been quiet without her. I like it."
James said nothing more.
Sandie sat in a bar, she was glad her ID had her older than she was. The bar was packed and the music was loud. She sat alone even though several guys tried to pick her up, she turned them all down. She was there with a purpose, waiting for someone in particular. Finally she saw her walk in, Sandie waved to her from across the room and the other person made their way through the crowd to where she was.
Sandie stood and greeted her date, Dr. Remy "Thirteen" Hadley. They kissed, sat down and ordered drinks. In between drinks, they danced and made out, not caring who was watching. They stayed until almost two in the morning, then left together.
The next morning, Thirteen was late for work, the others were already there when she arrived. Eric Foreman glared at her as well as Greg.
"You're late," Greg told her.
"Sorry," was all she could mutter.
She tried to concentrate on the case but her mind kept wandering. Eric noticed. Greg sent the team out to get blood samples and run tests on their patient. On the way out, Eric stopped Thirteen.
"Where were you?" He asked her, noticing her eyes were bloodshot.
"Nowhere. I had car troubles."
"What's wrong with you? You have been acting strange all week, and your eyes."
"Nothing's wrong, it's just allergies," Thirteen replied angrily. She turned on her heel and went about her business.
Greg sat in his office later that day, watching soaps on his mini television when Eric walked in. Without looking up, Greg asked,
"What is it, Foreman? Did you get the test results I asked for?"
"Not yet. I wanted to talk to you about Thirteen. She's been acting strange."
"What do you want me to do about it? Fire her?"
"I thought maybe you could talk to her, find out what's going on. I just figured you knew how to deal with situations like this, since Sandie was the same way."
"Fine, I'll talk to her."
"Thanks."
Greg was coming back from James's office when he ran into Thirteen.
"So how are things going with you two?" Greg asked her.
Thirteen knew who he was talking about.
"Things are fine," she answered.
"Foreman doesn't know?"
"No," Thirteen answered, "I'd like to keep it that way since him and Sandie don't get along."
"Are you two doing drugs?"
"That's none of your business!"
"It is my business when one of my employees shows up late for work. I want you to take a drug test."
I won't do it," Thirteen told him.
"Then you're fired. Tell Sandie to get off the drugs too."
Greg walked away leaving Thirteen standing there.
It was midnight when Greg walked into the already crowded bar. He looked around and saw Sandie sitting at the bar. He walked over to her and sat down.
"Where are you getting the drugs?" he asked her.
"I have my sources," she answered.
"I thought you stopped doing drugs. Why are you doing all this again?"
"Doing what?" Sandie asked.
"The drugs, drinking, sex with multiple partners. Where are you staying anyway?"
"Look, this is my life, this is who I am and I'm happy."
"You're not happy, that's why you do drugs and drink. You're running away from your problems instead of facing them."
"I faced my problems when I left James, he was holding me back, him and Lisa. And just because I'm not living with you doesn't mean I don't care about you."
"I still love you, that's why I want you to stop all this. You know you could have stayed with me. I never told you to leave."
"I can't be tied down right now, Greg."
"You're just asking to go back to prison aren't you? No one's going to bail you out this time. Watch yourself, Sandie. You're welcome to come back to the apartment anytime."
Greg stood up to go but not before he saw Thirteen come in and walk up to them.
"What are you doing here?" she asked Greg.
"I was just leaving."
He left the bar and Thirteen sat down next to Sandie.
"He fired me today," she told her girlfriend.
"What? Are you serious?"
"He said to stop the drugs, you too. What happened with you two? You guys were so great together."
"I caught him with another woman."
James sat at home alone that night. He had to do something, maybe he'd go and check out the bars in hopes of finding Sandie. It was about one in the morning, he wasn't tired so he got in his car and headed to the bars. Just as he was leaving one of the bars to get into his car, he looked across the street, there she was! Sandie was leaving with Thirteen and some other guy. They got into a car and drove away. James got into his and followed them. What on earth are they doing? He thought. It seemed like they drove for hours. They left the city limits and turned onto a dirt road surrounded by trees. James stayed back so he wouldn't be seen. The car pulled up to a house the the three of them got out and entered the house.
James waited in the car, he checked the time, three in the morning! He started to doze off when he saw Thirteen and Sandie come out of the house. They got into the car and drove off. Again, James followed them.
He followed them to a motel where they got out of the car and into one of the rooms, he parked the car and got out. He went up to the door and got ready to knock but stopped when he heard music. He peeked into the window and saw Sandie and Thirteen sitting on the bed making out. They slowly took off each other's clothes. They looked high and drunk. Sandie was the more dominant one in the room, she tied Thirteen to the bed and then kissed her. She trailed the kissed down her neck to her breasts. Thirteen moaned. Sandie worked her way down to between her legs, pleasing her, her tongue working its magic on her. Sandie kissed her way back up then untied her girlfriend, it was now her turn to please Sandie.
James didn't know what to think, he was tired and it was late, he needed to get back home. He got in his car and left, at least now he knew where Sandie was staying.
Sandie moved in with Greg after her fight with James. Things were going well and the sex was great. James tried several times to apologize to her but she ignored him. Sandi would even stop in at the hospital just to drive Lisa and James nuts. Her and Greg would make out in the lounge, sometimes going even further.
Sandie went to visit Greg at the hospital and saw that his office was empty. A nurse told her that he was on clinic duty. Sandie went down to the lounge to wait, she saw him come out of one of the rooms followed by a young girl. She was tall and thin with long blonde hair, she must've only been in her teens. Sandie didn't like the way she looked at him, she was fawning all over him. Sandie wanted to choke her. As the girl walked away, Sandie saw Greg smile when she saw that the girl's tiny, red thong was sticking out of her low rise jeans. Sandie walked over to him, she was very angry. Greg tried to convince her it was nothing but Sandie just argued with him and stormed out of the hospital.
A day later, Sandie and Greg sat in his office when the mail clerk walked in and handed him a package. It was a calendar with the girl's eighteenth birthday marked on it and a note saying, "soon." Greg just grinned and tossed the package aside. Sandie stood up and tossed the package in the garbage.
"I don't want you seeing her," Sandie told him.
"I'm not seeing her," Greg reassured her.
Not long after that, Sandie waited at Greg's apartment for him to come home from work. As she watched out the window, she saw a girl waiting out by the front steps. It was her again! Greg pulled up and got off his bike, Sandie saw him talking to the girl and a fiery rage built up inside her. The girl kept touching Greg but it didn't seem like he was fighting back, he actually liked it! Sandie was about to go downstairs to give them a piece of her mind when she saw them kissing!
Sandie was furious now! She grabbed her purse and keys and stormed out of the apartment. Out the door to where the two were standing, she grabbed the girl by the hair and threw her to the ground. Turning to her boyfriend, she asked,
"How could you?!"
Sandie stormed off before Greg could explain anything. That was pretty much the last time he saw her, except for one time when Sandie showed up to the apartment to get her things. She didn't think he was home but he was. Sandie refused to talk to him, she just grabbed her things and was about to leave when he grabbed her and tossed her up against the wall.
He kissed her on the lips, Sandie tried to fight back but he was surprisingly strong. She didn't want to be with him knowing that he had been with that slut. Greg ripped open her blouse and kissed her neck, working his way to her breasts. He unhooked her bra and sucked her nipples. Sandie moaned, she was enjoying this way too much. He lifted her up and carried her to the bedroom. He tossed her to the bed and lifted up her skirt, ripping off her panties. Sandie caved in as she ripped open his shirt, kissing his neck and chest.
One thing led to another and before long, Sandie had Greg tied to the bed. She teased him by sucking on his aching penis, then she stuck it inside her and rode him hard. They both moaned. Sandie was going to teach him that no one was better than her in the bedroom. After they both finished, she thought about just leaving him tied there but changed her mind. She untied him and got dressed. Before he could say or do anything, she grabbed her things and headed out the door.
