The rewrite is here! Yay.

So to those of you wondering, why am I not marking this fic as a crossover?

Well, it's because this fic only really involves the characters and world of RWBY. The only thing I took from Record of Ragnarok is the 'Eyes of the Lord'. That's it, no characters from RoR, just that one power from it.

Now then on with le story!

Disclaimer: I don't own RWBY or Eyes of the Lord

Jaune Arc is a 17-year old boy capable of defeating huntsmen through the use of his semblance he named 'Eyes of the Lord'. A rather bold name he would admit, but one that fit so well due its power. His semblance changes both of his eyes, morphing his pupil into a thin eight-starred one and granting him the ability to copy any move he sees, even going as far as to copy other people's actions that involved their own semblance. Truly, it was an overpowered semblance that allowed him to beat pretty much anyone.

His feats of beating huntsmen and copying their semblances have made him famous throughout Remnant, granting him the title of 'The Invincible Boy'. Because not a single one of his opponents has ever even touched him, he would always find a way to avoid their attacks and punish them for it. Even when he let them get behind him, he was still able to dodge their attempts to land a hit without even looking back at them.

He has heard of some other person with a similar title to his called 'The Invincible Girl' and was interested in meeting her. But that was not his main concern right now. No, his main concern at the moment was trying not to puke in the airship taking him to Beacon, and right in front of his peers as well for Oum's sake! Here he was, a boy capable of bringing numerous huntsmen and huntresses to their knees, with their own techniques as well, brought down to his knees by a simple flight to school. How fucking laughable.

Jaune might be a lazy-ass 17-year old teenager, but even he cared about his own image to some extent. The young man tried doing his breathing exercises, an attempt to stave off the growing nausea he was feeling. It failed of course, hell if anything, his breathing exercise just made it worse than it already was.

A distraction should help then, Jaune thought to himself as he looked around the area he was in for something – anything – that can grab his attention for the remainder of the flight. Then his ears caught something that practically demanded his attention.

"I got moved ahead two years-" That was all Jaune needed to hear for his curiosity to be piqued, his eyes moving over to the direction of the voice he heard. His gaze landed upon a black-haired girl wearing a red gothic dress, her back turned on him, preventing Jaune from seeing her face. Moved ahead by two years she says, she must be more skilled than the rest of her peers if Headmaster Ozpin approved of this decision.

The interesting girl aside, the news playing out beside him was a pretty good distraction as well. Now all he had to was to just focus all his attention on it and he would be just fine-

The news feed was cut off and replaced with a hologram of Glynda. "Hello, and welcome to Beacon!" Oh Oum no.

"You are among the privileged few-" Shit he was getting bored! Losing interest rapidly! Fuck not like this… Wait, her tits! Think of horny thoughts Jaune! Think of horny- He gagged.

"Beacon's our home, now-" The sound a person vomiting reached her ears, stopping her from finishing her sentence as she froze and processed the sounds she was hearing… along with the smell. Slowly, Yang turned to her right side, where a fellow blonde wearing a black shirt was hunched over holding on to the wall with one hand and was currently puking his guts on the floor.

With a sickening splat, some of the vomit struck her brand new shoes.

Yang's eyes widened in horror and disgust, her mouth opened to let out a cry of despair as she looked at her violated shoes. "NOOO!"

"Oh gross! Get away from me! Get away from me!"

The airships have finally arrived at Beacon, and began their landing procedures on the docking bay of the school.

As soon as the ship he was in finished landing, Jaune bursts out from the entrance of the airship and rushed to a nearby trash bin. He then began emptying the contents of his stomach, again. The people around him giving him disgusted looks as they passed by, with only a few giving him pitying ones.

Personally, Jaune blamed the quality of the hologram of Glynda. If it was high quality, then he definitely wouldn't have end up vomiting near one of his fellow students. But alas, what's done was done. He'd apologize to the girl whose shoes he got puke on if they met of course, but he won't bother with trying to find her.

After a minute of puking his lunch out, Jaune wiped his mouth with a grimace and rubbed his eyes before leaning upwards and turning towards Beacon. He had to admit, the view of the whole school was certainly nice to look at as he made his way towards it. Beacon was just… huge, way bigger than he had ever thought, it quite honestly looked more like a castle than a school.

As Jaune walked towards Beacon, his eyes caught a person lying in the middle of the path. Waking closer, he realized that it was the interesting girl from earlier. Should he talk to her? Why was she even lying on the ground in the first place? Was it even worth talking to her? Well, she did say that she was moved ahead two years and she really did look younger than the rest of the other students, maybe she'll be fun to fight? …Heh, who was he kidding? Of course not, but he wasn't so heartless as to leave the poor girl out here with no one else around them.

Ruby's day officially could not get any worse. First, some guy puked on her sister's shoes, her sister left her all alone, some crabby girl got on her cute butt for an accident that she had no control over – high quality dust she says, it wasn't even sealed properly! Then right when she finds someone she could possibly get along with, the person had already left!

"Welcome to Beacon…" Ruby said as she wallowed in despair, closing her eyes as she did. Then, a shadow loomed over her, prompting her to open her eyes to look at the person standing over her. Silver eyes met blue ones, she recognized him…

"Vomit boy."

Jaune's eye twitched.

"Look, I'm sorry! Vomit Boy was the first thing that came to mind when I saw you." Ruby's laughter spoke volumes of just how 'sorry' she was.

"Yeah, sure, you seem really sorry about it. The most apologetic voice I have ever heard quite honestly." His sarcasm only served to fuel Ruby's laughter further, causing Jaune to sigh in annoyance. He should have just left her on the floor where he saw her.

"Well whatever." Jaune said, his art of not giving a fuck taking effect. "The name's Jaune Arc-" Jaune forced himself to stop at the last second, Short, sweet, rolls off the tongue, ladies love it! …Like hell he was ever saying that shitty line again.

Ruby didn't notice it, but she did wonder why his name did felt familiar to her for some reason. "Well, my name's Ruby Rose!"

After that, an awkward silence fell on the two. Ruby suffering silently the longer it went on, while Jaune's art of not giving a fuck prevented him from suffering any mental or emotional damage.

"So… I got this thing." Ruby said, pulling Crescent Rose from her back. Her weapon unfurling into its scythe form as she showed it off to Jaune, who stared at it for a bit, before nodding approvingly.

"That's a pretty good-looking scythe."

Ruby cocked her weapon with a smile. "It's also a customizable high-impact sniper rifle."

"That's… pretty cool I guess." Jaune said, wondering how the girl before him could even use the weapon. How does she even deal with the recoil that came with it? And not to mention the weight of the weapon was also something to take into account, perhaps her thin-looking arms was just meant to deceive her opponents?

"So what do you got?"

"Nothing as impressive as yours." Jaune admitted, sparing a glance at Crocea Mors hanging from his left hip.

"Oh come on show it to me! I promise I won't judge."

Jaune squinted his eyes in confusion, why the hell did that sound so wrong to him? "Fine. Fine, just don't say I didn't warn you."

Jaune reached into his right pocket, catching Ruby's attention as he ruffled through his pocket. Finally grabbing his 'weapon', Jaune pulled it out and held it on his hand for Ruby to see, revealing his weapon of choice to be a… golden knuckleduster.

Ruby blinked, a tumbleweed passed by as the wind howled past her. She brought her hands up to rub her eyes before looking at Jaune's hand again to make sure that she wasn't just seeing things. Nope, the knuckleduster just twinkled as it remained in its owner's hand. Did- did she drink too much milk?

"I don't really want to say such a cliché line but, I told you so." Ruby looked up at him with a startled look.

"No wait! Well um, i-it's just… well uh…" Jaune let out a small smile at Ruby's stuttering, the girl was far too cute for her own good.

"It's fine." Jaune waved her off as he turned to continue walking whilst pocketing his weapon, Ruby catching up to him a moment later. "This isn't the only weapon I have, I just use this one for fighting against human opponents."

"Oh! So it's for when you're fighting against people with no aura right?"

"That's one reason I guess. The main reason though, is so that uh… accidents don't happen." Jaune said, his mind wandering back to when he fought a huntsman for the first time with a sword… if it could have been called a fight. No, it couldn't have been called a fight, it was a goddamn massacre. He dominated the man so hard that his agent asked him to use a 'weaker' weapon, one that could help him hold back his strength. Hence, the knuckleduster.

Ruby quirked up an eyebrow at hearing her friend's reason. He's using a knuckleduster so that accidents don't happen? Did that mean he was so strong he had to force himself to use such a basic weapon? Well either that or he's just plain arrogant, she hoped it was the former.

"So you only use your sword when you're fighting Grimm?" Ruby inquired, pointing to the sword hanging from his left hip.

"Eh, sometimes." Sometimes!? Ruby let out a sigh, her new friend might just really be too arrogant for his own good.

"So why did you help me out back there? In the courtyard?"

Jaune hummed to himself, wondering on whether or not to tell her the truth. He could just say the line that his mother always to said to him, 'Strangers are just friends you haven't met yet.' …Nah. "I guess it's because I just couldn't leave you all alone out there."

"Hmm, I see." Ruby muttered, but she definitely learned one thing from her friend's vague answer. He was kinder than he looked.

"So do you know where we're going?" Ruby asked as she looked at the surrounding area as they walked, she didn't have a semblance of an idea as to where they currently were.

"Well, I know that we're supposed to be going to some sort of auditorium, but…" Oh no.

"Please don't tell me that we're lost."

"Then I won't."

Ruby's whine and pouty face made Jaune smile again, despite his best efforts to hold it back.

"Well that was easy to find." Ruby said as she walked up to the entrance of Beacon's auditorium.

Jaune deadpanned at the girl as they entered, which was rather hard to notice due to his usual bored face. "You were hyperventilating just a minute ago-"

"That doesn't matter!"

"Ruby!" A feminine voice yelled out, stopping Jaune from replying. The two turned towards the direction of the voice, where a blonde girl was waving over to Ruby.

"Yang!" Ruby exclaimed before turning back to Jaune, "That's my sister, sorry but I gotta go. See you after the ceremony?"

"Sure." Jaune's simple reply was all Ruby needed to hear before she ran into the crowd, aiming for her sister as she weaved around the numerous students within the auditorium.

A short while after Ruby left, Jaune could hear students begin to whisper about him. Hmm, it seems they finally noticed that he was among them.

"Isn't that Jaune Arc? The Invincible Boy?" Jaune cringed at the title, particularly at the 'boy' part. If he ever found out the person who thought of that title he would show them exactly just how much he liked it, and why the hell did his agent think it was a good idea to officially make it his title goddammit!? Just 'The Invincible' would have been fine, hell it was a million times better without the 'Boy' part. But nope! He was stuck with the shitty title as it was now.

"I heard that he could copy other people's semblances and use it just as well as the person he copied it from!"

"Man isn't that just too overpowered?"

"Obviously. But hey isn't the Invincible Girl here too? Who do you think would win between the two of them?"

"I think it would be…"

The Invincible Girl, she had always interested him. After all, she has to be strong enough to rival him in order to earn the title. And if she was anything like him, then their battle would be legendary! It would definitely be broadcasted throughout Remnant should they have a public match! Such a shame that his agent didn't agree with him, spouting some bullshit about how the girl was on the other side of Remnant, such bollocks honestly. All it would take was just one bullhead ride to Mistral and they could have their legendary battle! But nooo, building hype and beating some random huntsman/huntress's ass was more important apparently.

Well, there was that one huntsman that was actually pretty fun to fight, but the man only appeared once. That one time he did though… it was most fun fight he ever had. Copying his semblance hardly did jack shit too! It just made things more fun for the both of them. Too bad his agent was such a wet blanket and forbid them from ever meeting again, like who cares if they caused thousands of lien in damages? Most important part was that they had fun.

The sound of the students shuffling around him pulled Jaune out of his thoughts. Looking around, he sees that his peers were filing into two rooms. A changing room by the looks of it, seeing as the students that came out wore their sleepwear. Hmm, it seems that they were going to be sleeping in the auditorium tonight as well seeing that they placed their sleeping bags on the floor already. He probably missed the opening speech as well, but it was probably boring anyway so he didn't miss out on anything for sure.

Putting his usual bored face on, Jaune lined up at the back of the queue for the male changing room. This was going to take a while…

As Jaune stepped out of the changing room with his sleeping bag over his shoulder, people stared at him. Their eyes widening in shock as they looked upon him in his sleepwear, one thought ringing in their minds as they stared at 'The Invincible Boy'. Why the hell is he wearing such a thing?

Jaune raised an eyebrow as the people around him looked at him weirdly, was there something on his pajamas? Moving his eyes down, he saw nothing that was out of the ordinary on his person. So what was their problem?

Jaune narrowed his eyes, they all looked away at his gaze. None willing to openly antagonize him even if his choice of clothing was… peculiar. Shaking his head, Jaune looked around the auditorium for an area without many people, he'd prefer to not have anyone watch him in his sleep and judge his looks thank you very much.

In the end, he only found one somewhat vacant place. It being somewhat because there was still a person in said place. But better to deal with one person than to have a crowd watch him while he was sleeping, seriously why the hell everyone staring at him like he was full-on naked?

Blake's cat ears twitched as the sound of footsteps reached her. Her eyes turning towards the source, they widened as her gaze landed upon a very familiar blonde boy, he still wore a face of boredom that she could never forget. Fear and shock rippled through her as she watched him walk towards her location. Why, why was he walking towards her? Does- does he remember who she was? It's been a full year since they last crossed each other's paths, but perhaps he still remembered her from back then. It's not every day one encountered two terrorists after all, especially when one of them is a leader of the White Fang.

Blake quickly brought her book up to hide her face as Jaune sat down a good distance from her. Her mind replayed the day the two of them met… sort of. It was supposed to be a simple mission, she and Adam were going to crash one of the boy's matches during a tournament, Adam was going to quickly beat him in one-on-one combat live on TV, and then they would escape via bullhead.

What better way to show the world that we Faunus are just as strong as humans, other than to beat the one they call invincible right before their very eyes? Adam said to her and many others, they all reluctantly agreed with him.

That mission failed horribly. Jaune was stronger than either of them had ever thought, Adam couldn't land a single clean hit on him. Even when Adam used a fully charged Moonslice, the 16-year old still dodged it and sent back his own version of it, instantly breaking Adam's aura and causing him to blackout from the pain. But he didn't leave unscathed, that strike left him with a scar on the right side of his chest where the blonde's knuckleduster landed.

The only reason they were able to escape was because Jaune allowed them to, saying that if they wanted to fight him all they had to do was contact his agent and wait for their turn along with the other huntsmen and huntresses. All with a bored face. His comment made all the humans at the stadium sneer and ridicule them instead, damaging the White's Fang reputation as the two of them were allowed to leave freely with no repercussions.

Peering at Jaune from above her book, Blake allowed her shoulders to slightly relax at seeing the young man already in his sleeping bag and was most likely doing what it was made for. Her eyes scanned the auditorium, and she was dismayed at seeing there was no other area that she escape to. There were just too many students spread out other than the one she was already at.

"Hel-loo!" A high-pitched voice sang, causing her to turn her head and lower her reading material to look at the source. "I believe you two may know each other?" A blonde girl said as she gestured towards an unhappy-looking girl, one that she recognized.

"Aren't you that girl that exploded?"

"Uh, yeah but that just was an accident. My name's Ruby." Ruby held her hand out, which was promptly ignored as Blake drew her attention back to her book. Ruby retracted her hand with a nervous chuckle.

"What are you doing?" Yang whispered to Ruby.

"I don't know help me!" Ruby whispered back in an annoyed tone, before looking back at Blake with an obvious fake smile.

"So… What's your name?" Yang asked.

The ex-terrorist sighed before answering. "Blake."

"Well, Blake, I'm Yang!" The blonde pointed to herself with a thumb, "Ruby's older sister! I like your bow!"

"Thanks!" Blake responded sharply.

"It goes great with your… pajamas!"

What? "Um, right…"

Ruby could only laugh uncomfortably.

"Nice night, don't you think?" Yang said.

"Yes, it's lovely. Almost as lovely as this book!" Ruby and Yang waited for her to continue. "That I will continue to read." The two continued to stand menacingly. "As soon as you leave."

Yang turned to her sister. "Yeah, this girl's a lost cause."

"For Oum's sake, could you guys please stop." A male voice interjected before Ruby could speak. Turning their heads, Jaune looked at them with an irritated expression, resting his chin on his hand as he lied on his stomach in his sleeping bag. "I'm practically getting second-hand embarrassment from hearing your conversation."

Blake froze.

Ruby and Yang looked away from him sheepishly.

"Sorry Jaune, we didn't mean to wake you…" Even Jaune's art of not giving a fuck couldn't prevent him from flinching at Ruby's apology, damn her cuteness.

"Hey, it's not our fault that this girl is so anti-social."

Blake's head whipped back at the blonde girl. "What did you just call me?"

Yang ignored her. "Besides it's not like you can do any better, vomit boy."

Vomit boy's eye twitched. "More like I can't do any worse than you did."

"Aside from vomiting on her you mean?"

"That was an accident, I have motion sickness."

The blonde girl rolled her eyes and waved her hand at him. "Sure, sure, whatever makes you feel better." Jaune decided that he did not like Yang, despite her big… personality.

Still, he didn't rise up to the jab, instead opting to roll over to his side and close his eyes. He wasn't going to spend the night arguing with someone about the undermined common problem that is motion sickness, both because the girl probably wouldn't care anyway and because he lacked the fucks to give… also because sleeping was fun too he supposed.

"So, Pyrrha, have you given any thought to what team you'd like to be on? I'm sure everyone must be eager to team up with such a strong and well-known individual such as yourself!" Weiss said as she looked at the famous champion of Mistral, Pyrrha Nikos.

"Well… I'm not quite sure. I was just planning on letting the chips fall where they may."

"I see. Well if that's the case, then I was thinking that maybe we could be on a team together. With your strength and skills, combined with my resources and intellect, we could easily be the top team in Beacon! So… what do you say?"

She hated it, she came all the way to Beacon in hopes for a fresh start, hoping that the people around her wouldn't recognize her, that they would treat her like they would any other, and finally make some friends… real friends. But a practiced polite smile formed on her face all too easily. "Well, that sounds grand!"

"Great!" Was all that came out of Weiss's mouth, but in her mind she was already celebrating her success. This was absolutely perfect! The smartest girl in Beacon AND the strongest girl in Beacon all in one team! They were going to be unstoppable! They were going to be popular! They're going to be celebrities! And they'll get perfect grades! Nothing could possibly stop them now!

A person bumped into Weiss, causing both her and the culprit to fall over with a yelp.

"Gah!"

"Fuck's sake!" The culprit shouted out as his right arm immediately shot towards the nearby bench and stilled, preventing him from becoming face-to-face with the floor.

The blonde boy muttered something under his breath, before he righted himself and reached a hand out to Weiss. "Sorry about that…"

Weiss slapped it aside with no hesitation and pushed herself up. "Watch where you're going, you-!" Whatever she was about to say died in her throat as her eyes landed on the boy's face, her eyes widening in shock as she openly gaped at him. How curious. A second before, Pyrrha was sure that Weiss was about to give the boy the most intense verbal lashing of his life, but now she was just looking at him all slack-jawed.

Pyrrha looked to the young man with a raised eyebrow, only for her own eyes to widen and jaw to drop before she blinked – rubbed her eyes for good measure – then looked to his face again to make sure that she didn't mistake it. She didn't, she still fully recognized the bored face of the young man. The person who bumped into Weiss was 'The Invincible Boy' himself! Her male counterpart in title according her own agent, and she whole-heartedly agreed with him.

She watched some videos of his matches and was very impressed with how, who, and what he fought with. In all his fights, the young man always fought with one style, dodge and counter. Even against huntsmen and huntresses he still used that style and won. But what's perhaps most impressive out of all his feats, is that he did all of it with just a knuckleduster. She really doesn't like to swear, even in her own thoughts but- He only uses a goddamn knuckleduster. Who on Remnant would even attempt use that against huntsmen and huntresses?

"Um." His voice snapped the two girls out of their thoughts, drawing their attention to his bored face again. "I'm sorry about bumping into you, I wasn't really looking at where I was going. But I really have to go look for my locker so…"

"A-Ah, wait!" Weiss exclaimed as she reached for his shoulder, but only grabbing his elbow instead. Still, it did the job of stopping Jaune from walking away.

"I- uh. Ehem. I accept your apology, and I was thinking that maybe the two of us could help look for your locker?" She gestured to herself and Pyrrha, who looked at the girl with a raised eyebrow. A bit miffed that the pale girl didn't even ask if she had wanted to help… well she did, but still!

"Ah, is that so?" The two nodded. "Well if you're both sure, then here." Jaune pulled out a small note from his pocket and showed it to them. The note displaying the number 636.

"636 huh, I believe it should be right around…" Weiss didn't have to look around the locker room for long as her eyes landed on the one between hers and Pyrrha's, the plating proudly stating the number 636. "…here."

"Weird coincidence aside, that's actually quite convenient." Jaune said as he moved in between them and opened his locker. Drawing the two's curiosity when he equipped Crocea Mors on his left hip.

"You use a sword? I don't think I've ever seen you use one before." Pyrrha inquired, recalling all the videos of his matches that she watched.

Jaune shrugged at that, "The short version is that I use a knuckleduster so that my opponents can last longer."

Weiss's eyes lit up at hearing this. She absolutely HAD to get him on her team, if his reason for using such a paltry weapon was true, then he must be an absolute monster when he used his sword. Just imagining both 'The Invincible' in her team was almost enough to make her squeal in joy, keyword being almost.

Pyrrha was also just as ecstatic as Weiss, maybe even more so, but for a completely different reason. She had always been interested in not just meeting Jaune, but to have a match with him as well. However, to find out that he has a sword that he never used because his opponents were straight up too weak to handle him with it? …Yeah she absolutely had to have a match with him now.

"Hmm." Jaune hummed to himself as his eyes lingered on Pyrrha and roamed her figure, feeling a slight recognition but not knowing exactly why. He never realized that the girl noticed his staring and couldn't help but flush slightly, Weiss certainly did though if her amused look was any indication. "Have we met before? I feel like I should know but I can't remember…"

Pyrrha gasped, he doesn't who she is!?

"You don't who she is!?" Weiss exclaimed, unknowingly voicing Pyrrha's thoughts.

Jaune deadpanned at her. "Obviously, I wouldn't have asked if I did."

Weiss immediately moved to Pyrrha's side, making the girl jump in surprise. "This," she gestured towards Pyrrha, "Is Pyrrha Nikos."

"Hello!" Pyrrha waved a hand at Jaune with a smile on her face.

He didn't even blink.

"…She's The Invincible Girl." Weiss said dryly. Now that sparked a reaction out of Jaune, whose eyes widened in realization.

"Ah, so that's why…" Jaune said, before looking at Pyrrha again, so she was the Invincible Girl huh… He wasn't all that impressed, but nonetheless he held a hand out to her. "It's nice to finally meet you Pyrrha."

Pyrrha grabbed it with a smile of her own, a real smile this time, as they shook hands. "It's nice to finally meet you too!"

"For years, you all have trained to become warriors. And today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest." The headmaster of Beacon said as he looked upon the gathered students before him. "Your goal within the forest is to make it to the northern end and collect a relic, one for each pair."

"As for the matter of pairs, it is in your best interests to partner up with someone that you get along with. As they will be with you for the next four years of your life, perhaps even longer."

A certain silver-eyed student groaned out loud at hearing this.

"That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing shall be your partner."

"WHAT?!"

Jaune yawned, uncaring of the dumbest partnering system that the headmaster imposed on them. Sure he would prefer to be partnered up with either Ruby or Pyrrha, because he felt that they would get along just fine. Not Weiss though because he felt that she was going to be an absolute slave driver, but it didn't really matter because at the end of the day he was still going to be the strongest student of Beacon which in turn would apply to his team as well.

A student beside him was propelled upwards into the sky, and that was the only warning he got before he, along with other students, was sent high up into the sky above the Emerald Forest. Some students made a show of using their respective weapons to boost the speed of their flight, like that blonde girl who was with Ruby yesterday firing shotgun shells from her gauntlets.

Soon enough his descent into the forest canopy began and he sighed, it was going to be a rough landing. Jaune drew Crocea Mors and shifted the sheath into its shield form as he held it in front of him. His left arm tensed as the treetops came closer-

The sound of something whistling through the air reached his ears.

Immediately, his semblance activated as he turned his head towards his right. His eight-starred eye locking on to the bronze spear homing in on his soon-to-be location- wait a minute isn't that Pyrrha's spear?!

Thinking quickly, Jaune shifted his shield back into a sheath and slammed Crocea Mors back into it, using the added momentum to spin mid-air, allowing Miló to pass by him slightly before his right hand grabbed its lower shaft and causing him to be dragged by it. A moment later it lodged deep into a tree, causing it to shake as he hung on the spear with one hand.

As the tree stabilized, Jaune planted his feet on the trunk and kicked himself upwards, settling into a seated position on Miló as it bent slightly at the added weight. Humming to himself, Jaune swung his legs in the air as he sat on the spear, his mind wondering why on Remnant Pyrrha would throw her weapon at him. Did he do something to anger the girl? Perhaps she was angry at him for not recognizing her sooner, then again she did seem a bit happier about that fact for some reason that he truly had no hope of even guessing.

Then perhaps this was a way to test him? To see if he was good as his title suggested? Hmm, that was possible, no one would expect a fellow student to throw their own weapon at them after all and would hardly be able to react at the shock of such a situation. Except for him of course.

The sound of rustling leaves reached Jaune's ears and drew his attention to the ground below him. A second later, Weiss came out of it, her hands moving shrubs and vines out of her path as she made her way forward with an irritated expression on her face. At that moment, a thought entered Jaune's mind, what if Pyrrha threw her spear at him because she wanted to 'secure' him and ensure that they were made partners? But what reasons could she have for doing so? And wouldn't it be better for them to not be in a team together so that they could compete against one another?

Perhaps it was so that they could have a match whenever they wished to then? It would make it easier to do so if they were on the same team, and only slightly more difficult if they weren't. Hmm, he'll just have to ask the girl when he meets up with her then. And he was confident that they would meet up eventually, she needs to get her weapon back after all.

Weiss reached tree Jaune was on soon enough, but not noticing the boy due to him staying silent and was instead watching her with a curious look. She then sighed in in what seems to be an exasperated voice before she begrudgingly walked back to where came from with an annoyed look.

A few seconds later, Jaune could hear Ruby's voice in the distance. "You came back!" Damn, so she and Weiss were partners huh? He could already tell that it was going be a… rocky partnership to say the least, he was going to have to give her a 'That's rough buddy' when this initiation was over.

"Jaune?" The boy's eyes moved downwards, vivid green eyes looked back at him. "I don't suppose you have a partner already…?"

"Wouldn't still be here if I did, although…" Jaune's hand went up to rub his chin as his eyes locked on… a valley, yes definitely a valley. "The view from here is pretty nice."

Pyrrha tilted her head in confusion, the tree Jaune was on wasn't that really that high up so there's no way that he was able to see much of the forest they were in. Maybe he was talking about the cliff from where they were thrown off?

Don't worry Pyrrha, Jaune is just seeing a 'valley' from his position. *wink* *wink*

Also wow I'm surprised that it didn't take me a month to post a chapter on this, I wonder what got me so motivated all of a sudden.

Welp anyways, feel free to leave your thoughts on the chapter in a review. Whether it be roasting me like Gordon Ramsay roasting whoever is in his presence, or praising me like I gave you a real life cat-girl/cat-boy, all of it is welcome!

So yeah that's about it, see ya.
