A/N: Hi all. This is my first story on here! I wanted to say before I actually start, that this is a story where everything is canon until the sixth book. This story begins right at the beginning of their sixth year. I added an OC female named Selena, so that I didn't have to change personalities/backstories of canon characters too much while creating this story. Dramione has always been a solid ship in my eyes and debated making it like that, but with the literal torture he puts her through I couldn't see myself changing her headstrong personality to be with him in a way that I want to write this story. So instead, I created a character that has some of the same ideologies as Hermione, but can relate to Draco's character more, and has her own struggles and flaws that make her her own character as well. There will be her POV, in the beginning to kind of help set her character, and then throughout to give a perspective on events playing out. Overall, I aim to have the story in Draco's POV, his mindset, and characteristics. This is a story for Draco and to give him a redemption arc he didn't get in the books. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy!

PROLOGUE

She stood on the platform, leaning against the brick wall, hoping that the stone may help cool her down a bit. To no avail, of course.

"Sil, where is Nocturn?" she looked up to where her mother's voice called from.

"He flew ahead, I told him to scout out. I'll call him back." Sil replied, pushing her hair from her face.

"This is all new to him, you don't want him getting lost- Roman! Come here, I said stay close to mommy!"

"Mom you're going to embarrass him," pushing off the wall, she starts towards her mom to grab her younger brother's trunk that was just abandoned onto the ground as her mother bounds after her little brother.

Sil sighed, with her free hand she pulled out her wand, (hawthorn, basilisk horn core, 11.1 inches) and sent a small spark into the air to call back her owl. Not long after, Nocturn ducked into the building, landing on her outstretched arm.

"Good boy," She smiled, running her finger lightly over his dark feathers. "I hope they're okay with you boarding with me, no way am I letting them man handle you the way they are those trunks." She eyed the furthest back cabin, watching as luggage was being tossed in.

The platform was packed, kids of varying ages ran across every which way, parents shouting; easily an overstimulating situation for someone who had never been to platform 9 ¾ before. But, her homeland was none other than New York City.

"Princess," her dad walked up. An air of confidence in every step. Not a single drop of magic in his blood, but he still seemed to hold the most power in a 20 mile radius. His suit, which he was rarely ever caught without, was pristine. Along with every hair on his head, slicked back.

"Daddy," Sil opened her arms to hug her dad. "I'm going to miss you."

"I will miss you too," he kissed the top of her head. "This will be good for you. For both of you."

Sil gave a small smile to her father as her mother and brother walked up to join them. Her mother embraced her in a huge hug, tears pricking her eyes.

"Please stay with one another you two," Their mother cried, grabbing her and Roman to hug them both.

Sil peaked at Roman through her mothers arm and smiled at him, his face crushed against their mother.

"Momma!" He sang out pushing against her.

"Don't worry Lulu, these two will watch out for each other. Right?" He looked between his kids. "You remember what I said about family? We watch each others back before-

"before anyone else." Both his kids recited back to their father.

"I love you guys," He grabbed them both into a hug.

Sil took her brother's hand and walked him up the steps. 10:58 AM, the ticket said the train left at exactly 11 o'clock. She led her brother down the train, having to walk almost all the way to the back before she found an open section. They opened the window and waved out at their parents, blowing kisses to them both.
