Summary/disclaimer: time for another chapter of Sins of the Father. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Metal Gear, Konami, Hideo Kojima and a few others do.

Dingo had a very simple objective and was told to do it any way he needed to be effective at it.

It was part of the reason why he enjoyed his work. He grinned and decided to make sure Owl knew just who what was happening.

He grinned and grabbed his rifle; it would take only a second… then he could continue on with his plan to get what he was really on the island for.

(With Owl)

Owl watched the woman with shock. He had heard about the legendary sniper 'Quiet'; she was the partner of Venom. He didn't know if Quiet was dead as he didn't know what to say about the woman.

He had heard the crack of her rifle and a yell of pain. The woman was a hunter, her hands didn't shake, her eyes narrowed every time she took a shot. Her breath hitched and her arms moved only slight while she hummed and fired.

"What the hell? a sniper? Here?" Owl took cover, knowing if there was one sniper, there could always be more.

Who was this woman? He knew snipers, many would often have a sniper… Quiet was the very exception to the rule along with the 'Skull' super soldiers who were based on her.

This woman didn't have a spotter, he didn't see a person calling shots out, or anyone who helped her find targets.

"Seriously, who the hell is this girl?" He looked through the iron sights of his rifle.

No, he'd never reach it, bullet drop would work against him, wind… it would be like trying to shoot a bow and arrow in a hurricane. The snow might muffle his fire, but he didn't even have a good angle.

Who in the name of anyone was this woman? He wanted to know more. She didn't look like the rows of Genome soldiers or Russian mercenaries who patrolled the compound.

He wanted to know. Owl felt like he had seen the woman before… whoever this woman was? It interested him more on what someone who seemed to stand out from the rows of soldiers he had been fighting for hours.

"Owl, we're still talking with the doctor… I still can't believe who he is. You know, after who the last guy did." Dust stated, it made Owl want to laugh.

But he knew, he was well aware that that Dr. Emmerich was a horrible man due to all the crimes under his watch. The man was scum, almost no better than a sociopath. He hated Huey, and if Hal was anything like Huey? He'd kill the man himself.

"I'm busy dealing with something, Dust. You're in charge of the squad, I thought Dingo was supposed to be busy taking care of information at times." Owl stated with sheer annoyance at the fact that his second in command was here.

He hated things like this, he really did. He sighed and Owl hummed, turned and looked away.

Owl glared at the tower again, there was the sound of gunfire. Someone was engaging the woman… no, Venom or Snake was engaging the woman. Owl still wanted to know who this person was considering she didn't look like the grunts they had been fighting over and over again.

Owl's boots crunched fresh snow. He was reminded of all the times he envisioned this mission, leading Void Wing through dozens of fire fights all over this place.

He heard another wolf dog, what were they doing here? he didn't doubt that the Genome soldiers had brought the animals here. he doubted they used them to patrol the location, they had the equipment to secure the base without new weapons and animals.

"Dust, did we have any information on Foxhound about a sniper?" he asked, brushing up against the tree.

It was then he realized just how cold the snow felt as it fell on his face, numbing him beyond all belief at just how damned cold it was.

"I think, I'll look through the files again… why, you find a sniper?" Owl heard rifle fire… from the other direction.

He didn't have any soldiers that way which it was either a traitor… or Snake or Venom.

"Oh… hmm, damn a sniper like that is too dangerous to engage head on, Owl. You know how our sniper was." Owl hummed and nodded before responding over the Idroid a minute later as the sniper fire fell silent.

Either someone killed the sniper… or they had been killed, heavier snow was starting to fall, concealing his vison.

He sighed and lowered his rifle… another member of Foxhound, one he felt he could have made them join his group and leave Foxhound without violence if he had a chance.

"Dust, keep on the records, I have to look into something. I'll be radio silent for a little bit…" Owl muttered as he brought up his rifle and snuck through the snow towards the base.

He didn't hear the crack of a rifle towards the wolf dogs… a tranq dart.
