Summary/disclaimer: time for another chapter of Sins of the Father. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Metal Gear, Konami, Hideo Kojima and a few others do.
Owl hummed and looked to the side. He looked over his shoulder before finally putting his rifle on his back.
"Do you think we're going to have to carry it?" Rabbit questioned with amusement in his tone.
"No, I think their make you carry it, though." Bear responded while Owl simply rolled his eyes with amusement.
"Knock it off." Owl ordered as he thumbed his radio.
"Dragon?" Owl questioned and started to pace around the room. "How long till evac gets here to pick us and the package up?" Owl asked which made Dragon clear his throat.
"They're going to take 30 minutes or so… I just heard from Venom." Dragon put in as Owl turned to look at the others.
"And?" Owl questioned while cracking his fingers. "What did he say? We're busy trying to get out of here. Dingo isn't exactly happy we managed to get to Sahelanthropus first." Owl put in and turned to look at the metal gear.
The trio of soldiers could hear people trying to pierce the door behind them.
"Should I come down?" Dragon questioned Owl. "I stabilized Wolf. She's been quiet so far. I haven't seen her do much more then walk around at the moment." Dragon added as Owl started to look for controls to the hanger bay doors.
Owl was silent a minute. Dragon was about to speak up once more before Owl spoke once more.
"No, take Wolf and find an evac zone." Owl ordered and gestured Bear to go and find out where the controls were. "We've caused more than enough damage. We should leave when we have the chance. Tell us where the landing zone is when everything is sorted out." Owl added and turned back to the door.
He was interested in why Dingo wanted the Metal Gear so much. Almost nobody knew about its mere existence, it was as much a relic as the war it had been part of.
Still? It was still a WMD and if anyone had their hands on its super powerful armaments? Then they'd control most of the world. Even an old relic was powerful considering how much of the world didn't know about its existence.
"We should get going soon." Rabbit said from his perch. "It won't be long before they find a way through the door. And unless you both plan on having a shootout with a platoon of soldiers?" Rabbit questioned which made Owl hum and nod.
"Bear, get the door." Owl ordered and cracked his fingers. "I'm not fighting an army. Plus? We weren't sent here for war. Our orders were to secure Sahelanthropus to prevent a war." Owl added and checked his weapons.
If there was a gunfight? Owl didn't want to be caught off guard at the moment. Dingo would be a threat. But a threat was something that could be handed at a later date. Plus? Owl was quiet done with this place. He'd be happy when he was back on Mother Base.
This was something that he wanted to put behind him. It would be a good memory, but it was something that belonged in the past.
"You think Miller will be happy to put this in storage?" Bear questioned Owl who hummed and cracked his fingers.
"I think we can worry about it when we're back." Owl stated and rolled his eyes. "We shouldn't ask him, though. Dingo has one of our Idroids which means he can hear us." Owl put in and drew his rifle.
The trio turned back to the doors. Owl turned to both Bear and Rabbit as both drew their weapons.
"Rabbit, is that thing locked down?" Owl questioned and aimed down the scope of his weapon.
"Yeah, controls were never made for a human pilot." Rabbit responded. "That was something that they were supposed to fix. I think Miller plans to fix that if we can." Rabbit added and checked his side arm.
The trio simply started to back through the door. Bear rushed back to the door which made Owl hum.
Owl sighed and aimed his rifle at the door once more. He didn't know if Dingo was willing to throw his men away to win.
Still? The man was going to be more dangerous if he was. Owl didn't want to lose men after losing Gecko.
"And it's a bit until we get reinforcements." Owl put in and shook his head before looking down the sight. Owl knew for a fact that if Dingo did break into the room? They didn't have many options.
"Yeah…" Rabbit put in and cracked his neck. Owl nodded and looked to the side.
Owl started to back out of the room. Rabbit and Bear followed as the heavy doors started to open.
Owl hummed and lowered his rifle before they backed out of the room already.
