Chapter 3

"So, do you mind telling your dear old wife what took you so long to return home after finishing up with the little girl's new shoes?." asked Merula, before taking a bite of her meat.

Randy and Merula were having dinner at their dinner table eating a delicious meal that Merula has made, which is a fresh stir-fry whole steaks with the sides of creamy mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli covered in a three-cheese blend. It was night time as the two have finally finished packing up on what they need before jumping on the train, right before Randy returned home from his displeased and not all proud day from the bookstore. He looked at Merula who took her time chewing her great cooking and smiled at him to hope to encourage him to speak on what took place during her brief absence, while she too has something to say to her lover that was informed from their favorite house elf.

"Question. Do you rather hear it from me or would you rather read it in tomorrow's paper?, since I know for a freaking fact that the Daily Prophet is making those papers as we speak." Randy asked taking another bite of his food.

Merula smiled sweetly at her husband while grabbing her glass of apple cider, "I rather hear it from my own husband's mouth instead of reading lies from the newspaper."

Randy relaxed a little bit feeling calm and confident to tell her. That is until a new question has popped up in his head, "Before I answer I got a second question to ask you. What happened back here in our home after I was away for a brief period?. Because I can see it in your beautiful violet eyes that you're itching to tell me something far better than my adventure."

"Well," Merula begins while pouring herself a full glass of healthy fresh cider in her cup, "Our little favorite house-elf has dropped by today to come not to visit but to warn us."

Randy instantly put on his serious face with interest building up inside him as this sort of thing is rare since he and Merula have finished Hogwarts, and never had anything "mystery" exciting happening in their lives over the years, "What warning did Dobby give us that has to be the utmost important let alone doing so when a new school year is just literally around the corner?."

"The warning that Dobby wanted us to be informed on not returning to Hogwarts this year. Honey, Dobby told me that one of the secret hidden vaults in our school has been potentially opened. Plus, telling me that the vault has a tie connection to my former house." said Merula, feeling a little uneasy about saying it.

Randy could only gasp and is shocked about the information giving to him as he can not believe what he was hearing. "You've gotta be shitting me!. Honey, you're telling me that someone has both found and opened the Chamber of Secrets!?."

Merula nodded slowly, "Well, yeah, I too did not believe it my self since usually things like this in Hogwarts only happens when we're around. But knowing Dobby, and him being the Malfoy family's head house-elf, he is not known to deceive. However, Dobby did say that he has no proven information on who opened that vault or even if that chamber is found. All he truly knows is get this, Lucius and his wife are loyal followers of "You Know Who", and as such needed Harry to both find and open the chamber to die. In order for their master to return. Oh, and Dobby prevented young Harry to return to Hogwarts this year after he purposely dropped a cake on Harry's Uncles guest and thus, making him grounded and miss a year of school."

With that in mind, Randy looked at his wife and said, "Well, that elf failed at that attempt miserably because I just happen to both see and official meet young Harry down at the Flourish and Botts. Right after following those two young love birds to the store to make sure they were safe from harm. Knowing full well that, Diagon Alley has a reputation for having children hurt or missing when dealing with sketchy wizards and witches."

Merula stopped chewing her meal and instantly raised her brow at her husband, "Love Birds?. Who are the love birds you followed?. Furthermore, it is your turn to answer my question."

Randy nodded when putting his cup down and sighed with exhaustion on remembering back a few hours ago, "Well, ..."

*FlashBack*

"Please, by all means, Randy, tell us what you and your wife have been up to the past few years?.", asked Lockhart, grinning widely to the curse breaker.

Randy raised his brow at the man knowing full well that he is only asking just to feed the reporter something juicy or get the chance to have some more reading information for the Daily Prophet besides his book signing. He looked at Lockhart real good before glancing back at the crowd who were waiting eagerly for the answer. Especially for Hermione who looked like she was getting ready to explode with her face being so excited as Randy can see. That, and he did not have to look at young Harry's face knowing that he feels the same with Hermione.

"Well for your information, Lockhart. Me and my wife are doing the same thing every single day for the past few years.", begin Randy.

"Ah, I see. Still chasing for mysteries and those vaults at Hogwarts, yes?.", said Lockhart, doing his best to get the real information out of Randy.

"Incorrect, we've been running our store and making a profitable business. Those days of chasing mysteries both in and outside of Hogwarts for myself and Merula are just plain old ancient history. And that is all I have to say.", said Randy with a friendly smile, even though he lied about chasing and solving mysteries.

However, some of the crowd of wizards and witches did not feel that it was true to what Randy said. And so one of the kids raised their hands to ask a question to Randy's surprise, it wasn't Hermione but it was none other than the boy beside him.

"Ah, yes, Harry!. You have a question for the great Curse Breaker?." Lockhart said, with gleefulness. "If that is true, Mr. Jackson, then how come your new class is about studying and solving mysteries?. Plus, the book that you want every student to get involves completely about both studying and solving mysteries."

"Damn it." thought Randy as that was an easy giveaway, "Well, that is because I believe that being a detective is a good career choice when it comes down to hunting fugitives and murders. I mean why let the wizard and witch police officers have all the fun, huh?."

In response, the crowd begins to laugh at that humor as that is indeed a good idea of a career path that the kids should learn the skill. After this, Randy managed to be let free from Lockhart's grip and try to escape from the place. In truth, Randy would tell the truth about him and Merula still chasing mysteries and creatures. But knowing if he did tell them the truth it will cause them to lose their chances at ever returning to Hogwarts, especially for a class reunion that just happens to be this school year. Plus, knowing full well that his wife would want to see her former house-mates and relive the memorable moments of being the 'so-called' boss of the house of Slytherin. This means if he fucks up their chances of not only seeing their old friends but also lose the opportunity of being new teachers of Hogwarts, then Merula would be hitting him with her favorite/signature Knockback Jinx spell constantly until he breaks or shatters his tailbone.

"Time for me to leave or things will..." Randy paused talking to himself when a familiar voice called his name and turned around.

"Wait, Professor Jackson!." Hermione managed to stop her hero from escaping, "Harry wanted to ask for your autograph."

Randy looked down and found not only Hermione but also Harry and Ron. The Weasley family and Randy go way back when he became best friends with Bill Weasley, who happens to be one of his friends to help him enter the first cursed vault. Since that time, the Weasleys have made Randy and later on with Merula as part of their family after the whole "Blizzard-Incident" during Christmas Eve, and often come visit them. Through Bill Weasley, Charlie Weasley, and the Weasley Twins have told all the awesome stories to Ron and Ginny that made them instant fans of Randy and Merula, even though they never say a word to the two when they come over for Thanksgiving and Christmas. But still, their family knows the Jacksons personally and have connections with them in case they need shoes at a low, low price or ask for their help with investigating strange things around The Burrow.

"Oh, does he now?." Randy looked at Harry who was a bit nervous to see him, "In truth, it should be the other way around. I mean, after all, he is the 'Boy Who Lived'."

"Well, actually, Professor Jackson, in my opinion, your status is much higher than mine. At least you worked your way to be who you are and not be given to you. Unlike...me." Harry spoke truthfully.

Randy can only smile at the boy for being so down to earth, even though he knows that this boy doesn't live in the Wizard World. Then he looked at Ronald aka Ron for short and smiled at the kid, "How's life in the Burrow treating you, Ron?. Do you guys still have strange things running around the area?."

Ron shook his head, "Oh, no, Mr. Jackson. All thanks to you and your wife."

"Huh?." Hermione looked at Ron with an eyebrow raised.

"What Ron means is that a few months back while he was in his first year, Mom and Dad have sent Mr. and Mrs. Jackson a letter to come to our home and have a check at the fields. You see, we've heard some unusual unidentified noises during the night. It was getting closer and closer to the house every single night.", said Ginny, stepping into the conversation.

"Seriously?." Harry beamed with interest, "That sounds scary."

"It was scary for an inexperienced person. But, hey, that is what I do for good people like the Weasley family. After all, it was quite exciting, to say the least, based upon my and Merula's side job profession.", said Randy, when taking the time to sign an autograph on the piece of paper that Harry has given him.

Hermione then took the opportunity to say, "Such as cryptids?. Like the ones, you discovered when every time you found a vault in Hogwarts?."

Randy handed Harry his autograph and said to Hermione, "Well...yes. But like I said before, that is ancient history. Remind you, me, and my beloved wife is only returning to Hogwarts as your teachers and nothing more."

"You just keep on trying to fool us, Professor Jackson. Like it or not, we are going to help you find those vaults and teach us how to hunt mysteries, etc." thought Hermione, before having her eyes glancing up at the top of the stairway.

There on top of the stairway stood her lover Draco, who had looked down and heard everything. The whole noise mystery at Ron and Ginny's house had caught his interest as he wanted to know did he ever found the source of the noise. Draco looked at his girlfriend who used her eyes to motion him to come down and hang with them. And as in hang, she meant by doing their usual routine such as Draco putting on his Malfoy persona. He did not want to play the snobby asshole to anyone especially to his girlfriend but, Hermione has reminded him that he has to in order to prevent his father from ever finding out. Such as him not only refusing to act like a Malfoy and just wanting to be a normal wizard, but also from learning or discovering about his romantic relationship with Hermione.

Draco nodded and pulled his index finger out to let her know that he needs a minute to which she nodded back, and then resuming back to hanging out with Randy who was both trying his best to answer each of their questions, and trying to exit himself out of the store. Besides his father ordering him to stay at the Flourish Blotts and spending some quality time with Hermione, Draco had a reason to be in the bookstore which involves the Chamber of Secrets. Over the summer he overheard his father one day talking with his mother about the Chamber of Secrets. Draco recalled from his father that in order for the dark lord to return they have to lure Harry to the chamber and be killed by the creature that lurks around the place. Or he could return by just draining the life force of either a wizard or witch. Now, Draco did not gain enough information from his father on how they were going to lure his potential friend to the Chamber of Secrets, let alone what method would the dark lord use to steal another person's life force.

Draco's main concern about all of this was Hermione's safety. He did not want anything to happen to his beloved muggle-born and now she at risk of being killed. And so, he took it upon himself to do some research on what kind of creature might be connected with the chamber. He finally found the book that he was searching for and begin flipping the pages with the quickness of his fingertips. He wasn't even close to being a good mystery investigator like Randy Jackson but managed at being resourceful as he found a potential source.

"Bingo, I found what I'm looking for. Sorta. It's a good thing that Mr. and Mrs. Jackson are going to be my teachers and being on the hunt to find that vault. Because I am sure as hell don't know what the fuck I'm doing. I guess learning and solving mysteries is a mandatory need." thought Draco, when noticing Randy was trying to leave and say his farewells.

Taking the chance at hand he then ripped the page out from the book and then set the book to the side. Then he got up and walked down and jumped right in front of them. Randy had instantly felt the feeling of watching the young Malfoy pull an act based upon his facial expression. The kind of facial expression that Merula used to use when she pretends to be mad or furious at him when he either victorious in a Quidditch championship against her when beating to catch the golden snitch, or during class time of performing what they learned today. Those were the good old times and fun memories that Randy and Merula have cherished over the years. His train of memory lane came to a complete stop when hearing Draco spoke.

"You just can't help yourself do you Potter?." Draco eyed Harry with a mix of hatred and jealousy, "Not only you get your face on tomorrow's front page of Daily Prophet with Lockhart, but also have your picture taken with the Curse Breaker himself. You just love to be the center of attention don't you, Potter?."

"Leave him alone you jerk." Ginny stepped into Harry's defense and eyed Draco threateningly.

"Oh, look, Harry Potter has a little fan or girlfriend. How sweet." Draco teased Ginny and said, "Funny, who would ever think that the famous Harry Potter would be interested in first-year girls and not of his own year. Sick."

Hermione pulled Ginny back to protect her and eyed Draco with a 'Watch what you say next' facial expression and said, "You're just jealous that no girl wants to be with you let alone put up with your bullshit. And I for one don't blame them either."

At that moment, Hermione gave Draco a wink to let him know that his acting was good and a way of saying that she is the only girl that he would ever need. Draco wanted to smile and kiss his muggle-born girlfriend so bad and just wanted to drop the whole sherried and wanting to be friends with Harry and Ron but, reminded himself of what Hermione had told him and just keep his false hatred at bay. Randy, on the other hand, can not believe what he's witnessing. He remembered something like this with Merula when he had his uncounted interviews with Rita Skeeter for quidditch games, random rumors, or even create his biography of year's being in Hogwarts. To this day, Rita Skeeter's biographical book about Randy is still a best seller of all books in which he does get a fair share of half of the profits that the book is making, all thanks to a certain self-proclaimed 'Greatest-Witch-of-Hogwarts'. It was all getting too weird and too similar for Randy's taste to sum it all up at what he's seeing.

"You need to watch that tongue of yours, Granger before you might lose..." Draco stopped and did not get the chance to finish his sentence.

The cause of it was the mouth of a sliver cane snake that grabbed him by his left shoulder. The person that was responsible for this was none other than Draco's father who just happens to come at the right place and time. Fortunately. Lucius Malfoy gently pushed his son to the side so that he can step into the conversation. As always, Randy remembered Lucius as the one to hold the reputation of being a rich snob and have that none down to earth attitude. Randy never did like Lucius with the memory of meeting him back at Hogwarts when he was still attending as he always did not like people who think they are better than others just because of their status. In fact, he and Merula disliked Lucius for several reasons and even remember him trying to stop them from searching a potential path to a hidden vault of the school, by requesting for them to babysit his son throughout the days of the week including the weekend. That, and, surprisingly, Draco did not mention to Hermione that he met him when he was only little but memories in small kids don't last long when they grow up.

"Now, now, Draco. Where are your manners?." Lucius begins just before introducing himself to Harry and took the chance to look at his scar by pulling him in and used his cane to lift the strain of his hair up, but did apologize before pulling that stunt, "That scar of yours is quite impressive and legendary in person. It might as well be since it was given to you by the wizard himself."

"Voldemort," Harry spoke in the bitterness of his voice just before pulling himself away from Lucius's hold, "He murdered my parents. Voldemort is nothing more than a murder."

"Well, that is rather brave of you to even dare say his name." Lucius gave Harry an uneasy smirk, "Or perhaps it was very foolish of you."

"The fear of a name only increases the fear in itself." Hermione chipped in her knowledge against her lover's father with seriousness on her face, "Everyone knows that unless you're living under a rock or just too stubborn to realize it."

Draco looked at his girlfriend in worry of crossing the line with his father while managing to keep a straight face. He then turned his attention to Randy who was not pleased to see his father also. Then one thing leads to another was watching his father walk over to Hermione and eyed her down like a snake that is about to attack its prey. Lucius begins to talk to Hermione and recalled about her from Draco and then went personal as he mentions her muggle parents. Saying that it is a disgrace to have them here in the Wizard World as such. Randy felt rage building up within himself when hearing this coming from the mouth of Lucius Malfoy and just wanting him to shut up. It got personal to Randy because some of his family members both in England and America were none wizards and witches, and for him to disgrace none magic people just because they were not of them just makes Randy sick to his stomach.

And just to add wood to the fire, Lucius then set his sights on the Weasleys when noticing Ron and his siblings. He started talking about how pathetic and embarrassing their father was when devoting himself and taking great interest in studying the artifacts of muggle things and then saying all it to Author's face when he tried to intervene in order to save his kids from Lucius. Of course, it backfired on him but he stood his ground either way.

"And I would have thought they would pay you more in that profession...but." Lucius took a worn-out book from Author's bucket and examine it before glancing back at him, "But I guess not. Socializing with muggles. Pfft, and you call yourself a wizard. I never thought in a million years that your family can stoop even lower."

Randy just finally reached his limits. He was no longer going to stand by and let Author and his family be insulted by this asshole any longer. He moved right in and stepped up to Lucius and said, "You know something Lucius?. You talk so big and bold to everyone who is in the lower class of society, but never in your life to take the time or effort to shut your damn mouth and never think about it. Just because someone is different from us doesn't give us the right to treat them like they are nothing. But in your case, it doesn't give you the license to be an ass."

Lucius looked at Randy for a few short seconds before recognizing who he was and just looked at him, "Randy Jackson. My, my, my it has been a good while. You turned out much better than your older brother, Jacob. How's your old lady doing?."

"Merula is doing outstanding, Lucius. And yours?.", said Randy.

"The same. I heard that you and Merula are going to be teachers at Hogwarts this year and years forward. Congratulations to you both. It took you two multiple tries at getting the opportunity for years and now you've got it. But we all know that the main true reason why you and Merula have wanted to be teachers is that you two wanted to resume your vault hunts again. Now, you can deny the truth but we all know that whether you like it or not, you are one step away from being your brother.", said Lucius, while putting the book back into the bucket.

"Correction, Lucius." Randy looked at the man angrily when being compared with his brother Jacob, "I'm nothing like my selfish and unforgiving brother of mine. Unlike him, I went after those vaults for the safety of my peers and prevent the knowledge of whatever is inside to not befallen into the wrong hands. I choose the path of responsibility and not neglect my friends and family, while Jacob chooses the path of selfishness and neglect."

"I see. Well, I must be on my way out. I have work tomorrow. And here's my warning to you, Merula, and your friends." Lucius leans over to Randy's left ear whisper, "Don't go after your targeted vault. Because if you guys do so then...you have an extreme death wish. A death wish that will get you, your wife, and your friends on the long road ahead."

"Damn.", said Merula, after serving Randy a slice of apple pie, "So we have a death wish if we go after the Chamber of Secrets. As in after we do our thing and find the vault we are on the kill list for the Death Eaters?."

Randy sighed uneasily while picking up his fork to eat his pie, "Yeah, that is what Lucius just said to me. And...I don't you, Rowan or Penny to be killed because of me. It's going to be a big pain for me if I ever lose you, Merula."

Merula sighed when cutting her own slice of her pie and said, "Lucius is using fear tactics on you, Randy. He knows that we're the only ones that can find the Chamber of Secrets. Don't let that careless bastard get the best of you."

Randy nodded and looked at his wife and said with confidence, "You're right, Merula. We can deal with Death Eaters. We did it once and we can do it again. Even if it's the whole gang.".

Merula grinned at Randy before taking a bite of her pie, "That is the wizard that I have fallen in love with. Now, we should finish our pie and go to bed early, so that way we can get those special seats on the train."

"Right. It's going to be one hell of an adventure.", said Randy, right before eating more of his pie.

*Next Day*

Merula made sure that she and her husband would arrive early to catch the famous Hogwarts Express and claim their seats that are located in the final back of the train. The two wore casual clothing that matched their house colors just to relive the feeling of being Hogwarts students again. Since they arrived early and loaded up their things including their owls, they have to wait for the students to arrive and get on board the train. It gave them a quiet time to discuss fun memories of riding the train together and buying their childhood junk food from the candy cart, just so they have something to keep them waiting before the feast.

"You made sure that you locked the store and our house right?." Merula asked Randy when taking a bite of her live chocolate crickets.

Randy took a bite of his magic frog egg candy that cause him to blow steam from his ears and said, "Yes, and yes, I've made sure. Plus, put all the money from our store in our bank in case of a robbery. Don't worry, Merula, your lovable husband made sure everything is okay."

"Good. I guess we can relax easily and enjoy the train ride. That is if those kids come busting in for our autographs or drown us with annoying questions.", said Merula, rolling her eyes in frustration at the thought of that happening.

Randy shrugged his shoulders and said, "Might as well be prepared for it. That, and be ready to meet similar versions of ourselves. Because Draco and Hermione are doing the same thing that we pulled back when we were in school."

"Interesting." Merula smirked, "Does those two send each other signals when nobody is looking just like we use to do it?."

"Yeah, I saw that right when Draco told Harry that he will be seeing him in school but really he was telling it to Hermione when he locked gazes with her. I never thought in my life that there was going to be a romantic relationship between a Gryffindor and a Slytherin like us. Boy, was I wrong?.", said Randy, just before taking a seat beside his wife.

Merula smiled and took the moment to touch his lips with hers and kissed deeply. The two french kissed for a few seconds before laying a lot of smooches on one another. Not wanting to stop for nothing or anyone of that matter. They wanted to stay like this as long as they wanted to until the two collapses from the lack of oxygen. Eventually, they broke their lips apart and looked at each other with love in the eyes of each other. The two then hold one another as Randy puts Merula on top of him while having his back against the seat and go another round of making out. With Randy having both hands firm on Merula's fine big busty ass of hers and started rubbing it with pleasure. This made the former Slytherin mourn out in happiness of having her husband touch her this way.

"You are going to make me want to give you a blowjob, Randy.", said Merula, when gasping for air and resumed kissing.

"Not on the Hogwarts Express you're not.", said Randy, taking a breather before going back to kissing his woman.
