Belos sighed. He was still trying to recreate the portal key. He decided to take a break for the time being. "Still having trouble with that key?" a child-like voice said.

"What brings you here, collector?" Belos asked the shadowy figure.

"Everywhere else is boring. When can I leave? You're taking forever."

"You can leave after the day of unity." Belos said as he walked away from the portal.

"Fine. That's only in like, I dunno, two weeks? I've been alive for billions of years, what's a few more days?" the collector said cheerfully.

The emperor smiled. The entirety of the demon realm had no idea about what was to come.

Time skip

Luz laid down in her room feeling tired. That day was Coven Day, and with it, the train wreck that was the Coven Day Parade. The whole day had been exhausting. Too much happened, and Luz was exhausted. It wasn't long before she drifted off into sleep.

"Oooh, you were mad! I thought you were gonna go crazy," a voice said.

Luz opened her eyes, but she couldn't see anything. She tried to move, but was unable to. She didn't recognize the voice, but could tell it was a child's. The next voice she heard however, was all too familiar.

"Not as long as he stays on the right path. I say, the titan has big plans for you, and he does what he's told. Unlike the previous attempts." This was undoubtedly the voice of emperor Belos, a witch who had been a thorn in the side of Luz and Eda for a while now. The second voice soon spoke up once more.

"I'm starting to think you make those things just to destroy them! You have fun with it, admit it!" before laughing. Soon however, all the sounds faded away, as Luz saw the tunnel full of the black fluid once more. This time, Luz started to walk towards the light at the end. As she did, everything began to slow down as the images of a machine, a wheelchair, and a strange demon-like creature flashed in her head, before Luz woke up sweating.

Luz noticed it was still night, although it was closer to day. She decided she should tell Eda about it, and that's what she did the next day.

"Hey Eda, do you know anything about weird repeating dreams? " Luz asked the following day.

"Well, you'll have to be more specific. For how long has it been happening, and what was it about? Oh! And did you just see something in your dreams, or was there sound too?"

"Well, there was a weird tunnel of some weird black fluid, and at the end there was light. I started walking towards the light, only for everything to change to me looking at a wheelchair, some kind of machine, and a weird demon-like creature." Luz said, hoping for a good answer.

"Huh. I'm not sure, but the answer is probably in some kind of book. I never paid much attention in school, so I'll have to check again," Eda said, laughing a bit. ",but don't worry kid, I have a curse that caused me to have weird, often recurring dreams, so you're talking to an expert!" Eda said with a smile. "Now go get some rest kiddo!"

Luz sat on the couch next to King who was sleeping, not sure what to do. She had been learning about Philip Wittebane, but so far it seemed pointless. Their own portal failed, even though they followed all the steps. Luz stood up suddenly, startling King."Weh! At least warn me before you're gonna do that!" king said, laying back down.

"Eda?" Luz asked, getting a "What" as a response. "Is there any time travel magic on the boiling Isles?" Eda responded by saying "supposedly there were weird time holes that would take you back in time. My sister and I used to look for them all the time. But they most likely don't exist, so now stop interrupting me while I'm trying to find out what's going on with your dreams."

Luz sat down again, confused about what to do. Would she ever make it out of the boiling Isles. Life wasn't bad, but she missed her mother. I will find a way back. Luz thought. I have to.

Unbeknownst to everyone on the boiling Isles, the titan"s blood at eclipse lake was now a much more viscous liquid, and was a shade of dark black, rather than blue-green. A hand reached out of it. A gloved hand with four fingers. The arm that the hand was attached to looked withered, almost skeletal.

The creature pulled itself out of the fluid. It had a round head with a hole in the top making it resemble a cartoon demon. Its face was mostly covered by the same black liquid as the lake, with only a large cartoon like grin partially exposed. Its torso was so withered to the point that it resembled a rib cage. It looked up despite the lack of eyes. The creature began to walk towards the exit of the cage as eclipse lake began to bubble, as if it were beginning to boil.

A trail of blood and ink followed the creature as it headed towards civilization. The boiling isles were unaware of the terror that had been unleashed.
